Most artillery vehicles have interiors in think
Only vehicles with no interior are the rogal dorn and skorpius(sorta)
Oh also the mechanicum transport
Except the morbius bombard or whatever
there's no way the leman russ has interior
I'm definitely late to the party, but they're making a new alien movie.
It has some really minor stuff lol
i cant find images
Idk
all the shit i use for guard is printed anyways so never seen an interior
The land raider has a suggestion of one
Ah nvm the russ doesn’t have an interior
cant you fit troops in a land raider?
wait so we're not supposed to put the units inside the APC's?
No
To represent it people usually put the units sgt. On top
Vehicles are a dif scale from infantry on the tabletop
If they were the same scale as infantry they would be massive
Rhino almost the size of the current land raider mini
Chimera bigger then the Spartan lul
Yeah, i saw them a while back and it made me sad that 40k has the one it has 😦
Smh insulting my skitarii
Skitarii are mid
Also imagine how big the mastodon has to be for it to be true scale
I like skitarii more then ursarax tbh
That shit transports contemptors
Nobody disparage my Skits
Or whatever the thallax melee one is called
does anybody buy these models
I think ursarax are cute
Mastodon? Horus heresy players
They remind me of bionicle
arent they shit
I think I might genuinely prefer pteraxii over them
Yes
They were always shit actually
why is this a trend that pricier big units suck ass
The stormhammer in this ed is actually good
Because war games tend to support units being smaller and mobile being better
Because of how important positioning and movement is
maybe they actually care and dont want the prize possession models to be the meta
If this was true the wraithknight wouldn’t have been good this edition lol
Its a bit more complicated than that
^
But the easiest answer is the rules writers are idiots
For all the ragging we do of GW they arent stupid
It depends tbh
The only ones who actually probably are idiots are the writers
I mean look at the HH pdf
i think they just dont care
Forgeworld rules writers def don’t care anymore it feels
Having read shattered legion rules
Lol
They really do not care about balance
like it doesnt take somebody smart to write rules, it just takes time and careful planning
Forgeworld just hasnt given a shit in years
Same with the if you want to use the stubber stuff
Look at the contekar
At the end of the day Heresy is one of those you have to let both guys make sure it’s not gonna be broken
Or the dawnbringer cohorts
Because how easy it is to break and be OP as fuck
Dreads
Fury of the ancients
I’m not bringing up the horse in the room

But yes dreads
Most unique legion stuff spam
it's lore accurate that my 200 year old legion has 59 dreads
Primarchs lol
Tbf it is for several but
Accurate ain’t always fun
Don’t bring that shit
Dont bring lore into this
i thought 30k was all about lore
One dread per 1000 points is generally the rule
Its a balance
You can smash your primarchs together if you want and fuck around but it’s more fun if you try to have it
this is why conscripts need to return to 40k
Also it’s not like 40k lacks anti fun lists too
40K has lots of anti fun lists
But also everyone’s gone think you’re an asshole tbh
there's boring meta and there's funny stupid meta
100000 conscripts is funny stupid meta for the first 4 turns
The only conscript spam I’ll approve of
Is the one with the storm lord
Because that one is actually funny
bringing obscure models to tournaments is my dream
Space marines players trying not the breathe too hard so the solar aux player wont die
If you bring only conscripts and officers in 9e I’m not playing against you 💀
do solar aux really suck that hard
AP4 moment
Yes
They pay a premium for stuff that is mediocre/useless
- the army building rules don’t support how they work
They need their own book
Theres a debate within the guard players on who has it worse, solar aux or millitia kek
Not really
Militia are better then Solar aux
You get cheaper stuff

Poor Solar aux gets the worst of both worlds lol
They look sick
Stormhammer?
Playing Solar aux into literally any army but Solar aux is pain
My favorite guard of all time
Because GW turned all of mechanicums fucking AP3 into AP4
Freaking
at least it isnt cadia

Cadia SUCKS
Lol
all my homies hate cadia
YUCKY
This is getting out of hand
Now there are 2 of them
Jokes aside my favorite regiment doesn’t even have any lore lol
I just like how they look
Technically solar aux barely have any
Solar aux aren’t a regiment
my fav regiment has like 3 books and most of them are from ciaphas cain
Theres like, 2 major characters
Am aware, but i cant really compare much else
i thought solar aux had 0 lore
I can’t wait for loyalist mechanicum to get the spiky shit covered end of the stick
For battle of mars
except for lord solar shit
I wonder what dancing looks like in 40K

Lots of booty shaking
Boring answer I know
House Goliath thug shaker
ok very controversial answer: it depends
Kek
Dependium is the classic
Also I will literally kill GW if they don’t make an official Caleb mini for mechanicum
Caleb?
Im gonna fucking blow you up
One of the most important loyalist mechanicum figures who also has 0 fucking lore + no mini
the little horus guy?
Literally a solid third of the reason why the loyalist mechanicum didn’t completely implode
The model sucks ass
On an unrelated note
Imagine plate carriers in the 40K setting. I believe it'd probably just be used by hivegangers that have no access to lasguns and all the advanced stuff
for context since none of you fucking post what they look like
They do exist ye
This is Caleb?
it's called flak
Horus aximand
no thats a techpriest
why is he hunched like that
...
he needs better posture
needs a bigger shield
Im gonna use you as a shield in a minute
Calleb Decima Invictus Lord of Ruin, Vengeful Archmagos of the Ordo Reductor

Yes I’m using his full name fuck you
He does
Lol
If he does get a mini I do hope he gets a redesign
Bcs he probably did not look like that late heresy lol
He’s resin
Because it is literally the same model as this guy, they just gave him different weapons
The traitors in the Horus Heresy do get a bit quirky at night....
Forgeworld moment
He’s not a traitor is the funny part
He just has the most traitor sounding name ever
i buy a bottle of resin for 30$ and i can make like 50 of these fuckers
if he was a traitor his name would be some shit like
Fucking lord of ruin
Caleborx Decimatus
Most of the traitor mechanicum have pretty boring names
Or normal onesp
i remember him in the first books
doesnt he kill the guy on istvan IV
I love how they gave him Hal as a fucking name, you can imagine the writers in the room being all "well its an evil robot from Space Odyssey lets use that"
He spilt stuff on him shirt :(
Draykavic is a cool ass name tf you on about
why does he look like that
Compared to fucking Anarcharis Scoria no
We don’t even know Draykavics first name
💀
this guy looks nothing like horus
I’d assume it’s later heresy
It’s a good model?
He got a chogorian shave mid heresy
It fits his look still
Kek
you literally got a bald marine as your pfp
your bias is showing
His look was always fairly standard SoH
bald is always evil
^
Cawl is evil confirmed
let's be honest cawl is not fucking trustworthy
he is basically bill gates so
No
Yes
Bill Gates is much less evil smh
LOL
Unless he’s got a secret organ harvesting operation
That turns the harvestees into cyborg mind slaves
does cawl do what he do only because he's curious
Me when I’m looking at a blind person
does he even like the imperium
He’s curious + he thinks he’s better
He loves the mechanicus
He is fine with the imperium
Cawl's opinion on the Imperium is literally just
i thought he was hated by the mechanicus for actually learning stuff
"They exist i guess"
Depends
Politics
As usual
He has supporters and haters
Mechanicus politics is so funny
He’s just vibing
^
Cawl also has his own political party formed by his followers
its not popular
lmao
im just wondering, what is stopping this guy from just going dark mechanicum
Cawl doesn’t even like Cawlites
Because he hates chaos
why
...
He saw his teacher go insane
bruh
Because of it
no im serious
She did the like
BECAUSE CHAOS IS BAD
Really creepy fucking
this guy absorbs people to stay alive and you're talking about evil and good here
Cawl blew a hole through her skull with a melta
WE ARENT
Lol
Orders of magnitude of evils
^
does the chaos mechanicum actually learn shit
Uhhh
I mean
Sort of?
Some do, some dont.
Do you count daemon engines?
Also tbf they tried to do it to him first
like they just do whatever they want right
Fucked around
Basically yeah lol
i thought the whole reason for the dark mechanicum existing was to remove the restrictions placed by the imperium
From what we’ve seen it’s not like he’s absorbed some fucking saints
The dark mechanicum was even more fragmented then the loyalist mechanicum during the heresy
No, it depends
depends again
some wanna worship chaos
some think the admech is lame
some are just psychopaths
They were ass mad they couldn’t use all their toys
💀
i'd 100% start making men of iron again if i went dark mechanicum
wait but men of iron had no souls
Then they went
when it turned out there may have been a reason they shouldn’t use those toys
Just make a daemon engine
also yeah remember, you dont have to worship chaos to be labelled a "heretek."
A heretek is basically any kind of person that breaks the mechanicus creed
And call it a day
Heretek’s vary from minor ones to
This guy literally grafted himself to a tyranid bio titan
wait so chaos can fabricate AI right
Dark mechanicum no
what about that machine
That was a single legio Cybernetica dudes pet project
That’s why you just have cyborg zombie marines and malevolent AI in your base and hide it and don’t care like a boss
And he’s dead
Imagine asking for permission
the kaban machine
Yeah
so only humanity could product AI
Again Tau and Necrons both do it
Dark Mech is pretty broad which you should fucking know by now when asking questions Jay
Jay what are the two magic words
A really enthusiastic puppy
Also like, the only difference between mechanicus and dark mechanicus is one has more spikes lol
one just uses daemons
lmfao
please and thank you
One uses more slave labor
Uhhh
It’s not the one you think
questionable
That’s three words
It depends
They have more people enslaved
It depends are the two words Jay
But I think there’s like 2 total AI comparable to like
thank you
The men of iron the tau have made
the tau AI is not as self-aware yeah
men of iron was unmatched by any other race?
Who’s part of the 8 and is the jobber
We dont relaly know
^
Necrons have some stuff
But it’s not delved into much
arent necron AI dumb automatons
Also technically
Theyre all AI I guess
like a literal tomb-world Siri
like from that man of iron we know of he's an actual person
yeah
but like
UR-025 my beloved
Men of Iron were literally just advanced angry robots with WMDs
we dont know if he represented the norm but it's kinda crazy
Tbh
he didnt
I mean idk he’s not that crazy
hes a unique case with his own personality
My homie acting like Agent 47 with those techpriests before he murders them 💀
^
Hes a little feisty but if you’ve played BSF
i wish we did
Mfer dies easy
We only know they did a massive war, spammed WMDs, some helped humans some didnt
thats it
he kind of sucks at not dying
also tbh he absolutely was justified in murdering those tech priests lol
they had it coming
yadda yadda yadda age of strife horrors beyond our comprehension
They weren’t the wisest dudes
also people forget like
literally got given several chances to give up lol
UR is not what a Man of Iron looks like
before Ur does the funny
tech priests when they fuck around and find out
its literally a disguise
I AM A MAN OF IRON AND I AM FREE
Free to die to a lame dice roll in a tabletop game smh
BRUH
i want more men of iron
no they suck
you suck
Then you don’t want men of iron
Based
Cause guess what nerd
They’re a faction literally born and bred from men of iron
what
KEK
Whatever the description works
nah that would suck so hard
Men of Iron weren’t one thing
Jay

The original colonists all dying
if men of iron turn out to be some robots with dwarfism
Stop having the worst opinions
Was totally not suspicious
No I’m talking about the giant core
LOOKS THE FUCKING SAME
what about men of gold
^
IT DEPENDS
Men of gold have no lore
in my defense we dont know much about votaan
Next question

The men of Gold were basically a race of superhumans that were just good at gene splicing and more or less just helped develop some other generation of humans
but like
in the actual material this isnt said
this is second hand from an ex-GW writer

i want this lore so fucking badly
amazon series would clear this up
just like fallout series showed like the first ever image of pre war universe
fallout 4 doesnt count
It prolly wouldn’t
Why the fuck would this be part of a theoretical show
You don’t need to know the background of the universe in its entirety
there's a lot more to it
i just hope it would okay? please dont yell
Kinda
also
The story of the Men of Gold, Stone and Iron is one of the earliest myths in the world of Warhammer 40k, the way in which the historians of the Imperium make sense of their past. But in reality, it all comes from just two sources. So in this video, let's look at those original sources, and how they've changed over the years
Support the channel:...
watch this video for that stuff
Ian as ever covers it extremely well
and it isnt just dramatic nonsense
he very much also calls out people overhyping this shit
and peddling out to 40m video when they basically got no ground to stand on lorewise
lol
BUT the content in the video is super interesting and well-explained, give it a try.
i will watch it if you give me 20$
worth a try. i'll watch it
Tl;dw, it’s a very short thing and people extrapolate way too much
^ Literally what he says too lol
Also it’s not told super clearly anyways
It’s very vague and written like a fable almost
people do take snippets from rulebooks and make these grand headcannons with them
I doubt GW give a shit about it anymore too, if they have a new idea of that time
Yeah another point he also says is its very much one of those 6th edition mystery setups that never got expanded on unlike some other stuff that is still in current 40k today
i DO like the idea that votaan are men of stone though
I doubt they’re gonna care about that little short thing
Or it’ll just be one small part of it
SHORT!?
We know there was a lot of factions in that era
I do like Ian for that too
like he actually stops the video sometimes
and explains the actual IRL stuff behind this shit
we know that nothing was simple
Rude but also I was just gonna say that
BRUH
Simpleton
so thats where that comes from
But I don’t mean it Jay
and i can bet you that taking every single reference to the dark age ever mentionned from even the smallest source would lead you to a completely nonsensical era
Yeah true
LOL
Agreed, you are a good punching bag though for bad opinions
my bones hurt please stop punching
its the same with the lost primarchs
the lexicanum has an entire page documenting every single mention they get in books
and its just literally nonsense after contradictory nonsense
lmao
the Emperor mostly works because its a case of "untrustworthy narrator"
but i agree
so bad that people have to make up shit like him being a psyker and changing what he look slike
to be fair that is fine
because like his power level is literally "whatever the writer allows"
master of biomancy and sexomancy....

Ur contradictory nonsense
Got her
i like that he's sometime just a guy

like the most powerful being in the galaxy in the material realm but just a fucking guy
And yeah i forgot which book but uh, it outright says he could just be a warrior woman if he wanted which is funny lol
my guy has the power of the skyrim developer console
you'd think other races would have made emperors if all it took was a bunch of shamans killing themselves
on a single planet
They tried, but they didn’t roll high enough
emperor's such a bitch he used loaded dice during his birth
I’m gonna load your butt with my foot

😳
it always sounds fun at first with eternal but it always ends up hurting
alright i watched the video
there's even more men of gold lore than i expected
and yeah that shit is vague as hell
Lmao yeah thats basically it
Though where theres "more" its very spread out and unexplored for the most part. Ian has probably done the best explanation of it in the last few years without dragging it to a 1 fucking hour video
I dunno how people just eat up the same vague shit over and over again and expect so much.
This isnt a 40k thing too, its much worse in other fandoms.
He showcases that much in his video as he scrolls through a page and its just so much filler about men of gold that basically says nothing lol
Its why I prefer Ian's presentation style a lot since he just doesn't stick to lore and sometimes takes a step back mid-video and explains the IRL-happenings aroudn stuff like this.
Thats why i like snipe and wib for that, especially since they mention rules writers names, and a lot of nice tidbits like how one of the rules writers for lazerburn a game predating 40k would go on to work on Xcom
yeah they are also great, its more that I prefer Ian in some cases since he has that Cool History Teacher vibe a lot of the time
but also seeing those two talk about codexes is PEAK, wish they did more extended videos on it
Love there vibe, and i just admire there research in general
hey how should i proxy for this lady in my city. My city lives in side a gaint whale god beast skeleton, they harvest isopods that eat the magic bones .
i would say with some aquatic creature instead but i got no idea how attached she is to that manticore lol
i was just gonan use a different model and say that htey are a character form my city
That thing looks like a biblical creature meant to be a metaphor
my cities uh, miltiary general or waht ever
Learn to watch videos loser
im just not sure whatcreature to use lmao
yea she is on a 100mm base
OOF
fr
i was thinking a boen dragon but that doenst erally work with the semi oceanic themeing
it has to be something that could fly or pretend to be flying
maybe a crab?
Some fish would work too but eh
the idoneth stuff is like the only fitting ones ye
the problem is thats also limited
might be best to ask in minis
or uh, an AOS server
true i just wanted to ask the metnally deranged 40k lore chat first for their input
lmao all good
last city iadea i had was a bee themed one and i had found this cool bee dragon on etsy i was gonna kit bash
that literally exists
i've seen them on the sea a couple of times
very cool fish
also proof that evolution will do ANYTHING except get a job
so its eitehr gonna be a fish i attache wings to or a whale
give that whale some majestic ass wings
Ping, where have you been.

kill him
maim
are there martial arts in 40k
like do people bother fighting unarmed
there's no way there isn't some space marine somewhere who isn't punching holes in people for the thrill of it
Yes
I think the only explictly named one
Theres no reason why there shouldnt be
is the Tau one
but there's absolutely proper martial arts
Arguably the aspect shrines of the Eldar
and the Drukhari Incubi shrines practice a martial art
im not talking about some eldar dancing bullshit
i mean like big buff marine punching people to death
That is a martial art though
sure but i dont care about those
probably
wait how does a power fist work
is it just punching things
Yes
i love it
is it servo assisted
i see humans use them but can they punch as hard as space marines
also no, unless you're in power armor
oh
Still funny the only real xenos powerfist equivelent
is an Eldar weapon
ig also the Ork power klaw
but you usually crush people with it lol
Powerfist, power klaw, now those i would like to see here
this is not a claw, this is a powerfist eldar are stupid
Specifically the chaos finger klaw ones, not the lame wolverine claw ones
Those are my faves
Waaaaaahg
So a default space marine punches as hard as a power fist?
Or do you mean a normal human cant strike as hard as a marine with a power fist?
This one
Marines can casually crush skulls in their palms without armor
Plus they train everyday for decades and eventually centuries on different ways to kill mfers as well as have a lot of actual experience.
Also stuff like this^
Marine martial arts generally is built around punching and grappling or doing knife hand attacks into weak points in an enemy depending on their armor and what not.
Combat knife and bolt pistol is a pretty common combo if they have to get into it at extreme close range like that and don’t have better options
They can often abuse the fact that their armor lets them absorb some of the enemy attacks or lets them deflect stuff, I know there’s a book where a marine using his forearm to knock a power blade swing away from him by whacking the flat part with his arm, it hurts him and fucks up the armor and flesh but it’s an option if they don’t have a better choice.
Some chain weapons they can also try to deflect a bit and hope it doesn’t dig into their armor or that it’s not well made enough to, but obviously this varies.
Bruh moment the Skinnerkin box for FEC is being added to Legends for the new edition, even though they only released like a month or two ago
The grym watch got canned in the 3rd edition battle tomb
So it’s not a new thing
Several of the SCE underworlds stuff didn’t even have legends
Hey mags, are god beasts still a thing in aos like are they all extinct or do they still exist
Yup, there are loads that are still alive and doing shit
Mainly they are trapped or hiding
Such as brine god
Aka the god of suicide

They are the highest tier of wildlife in aos right
Are god beast weapons one of a kind treasure then
They are animal-
Tjey don’t have weapons
I mean like weapons made out of god beasts
Ya that’s what urgold is made of
It’s made of a dead dwarf god and a god beast
Yeah i'm going to have to tone down my character then
I'm just going to say that his weapons are made out of a giant magical bear
I was going to give him a god beast weapon but that seems way to ridiculous
Oh yes i love gold made out of a dead god and a dead god creature
Also a different dwarf god sneezed and it made urgold too
That’s where we get the kharadon over lords
Okay like last question can i say that my character who is a ghurian human uses the pelt of a giant super powerful bear and its claw as weapons, andy has trained himself to be unbelievably physically strong
That is literally what Ghur magic is all about
nice i was playing around in elden ring, and really wanted to write him. he fits the average look of a Ghurian well,
thank you for the help
No problem
Don’t forget literally every animal in Ghur is carnivorous
And every plant
Ohh trust me the place is going to give skull island a run for its money
Putting a civilization there is both a smart move because the faunaI will act as a defense and well dumb
The place is literally suspected to be alive because of how ******* dangerous it is
As someone who’s trying to describe Ogryns to someone who doesn’t play much 40K
Is “Andre the Giant if he was pure muscle.” A good description?
and also had the IQ of a snail
Yeah I’m just trying to paint a mental picture for them
Andre the giant if he was basically taller and Dumber and more muscular
that is a pretty good explanation but if you really want to show them
you can just grab a picture off of an art or darktide itself
if your friend knows who brian shaw is, use that as a better example
not just muscle but a lot of fat too
Show them this image and tell them that imagine a child that's like 10 feet tall super muscular and can rip apart a tank with its hands
also surprisingly nice and affectionate
i will leave that out because not every ogryn is like that
Sure it's a pretty decently consistent quality but you know
the real frens are <3
I wouldn't try my luck with these guys
“Sorry sah! Didn’t mean to call you sah, sah!”
further proof that the happiest characters in 40k are the ones who dont care about the politics
Glad the Bully ogryn exists solely for this reason tbh.

an ogryn that isn't a goody 2 shoes is fun
and also actually smart too?
It's nice
watched the new house of the dragon
I physically blew my edge watching it
Real kino

With how often and casually things are spoiled here it should be the multifandom spoiler chat.
watch it now or else

aw damn it
I can't wait for Bloody Ben
Erm but evidence?
Dan Abnett room
More overhyped
he's a good writer; he just writes too much sometimes
Some of his stuff can be described as exhausting
i blame the editor, if there even is one, for not cutting out the useless shit
i just finished reading a 1073 page novel that had better editing than most stuff i've read from black library
Trying to cut off the work of dan is like trying to cut off the head of a hydra
You will have to read every single written letter
And word
And cut them into understandable sentences
Yeah but can you imagine trying to
Do that with Dan
The guy with an notorious reputation for writing so much it literally becomes at some kind of psychological attack
Like he makes good stuff yeah
But since he has been in the industry of writing for so long he can basically has a lot of you know leeway
see here's the thing
either he thinks he's too good for an editor, which would make him an asshole
or GW thinks he's too good to need an editor
far more famous writers work with editors all the time
i genuinely think it could also be GW not wanting to pay for an editor working so hard and because thicker book = more perceived value from customers
it's just pure slop
you know, its a little weird that there arent any salamander techmarines with a weapon that is both an omnissian axe and thunderhammer in one
both are power weapons, they just disharge differently.
ie, power pollaxe
Omnissian axes generally are kept in the form they're gifted to the tech priest/tech marine
the only real modifications made are usually to the hilt and such
yeah, but salamanders specifically like to make their own stuff
Yeah but you're talking about the mechanicals here
They love their stuff
And sharing isn't in their vocabulary
so im surprised that no salamander techmarine, under the teachings and guidance of a techpriest, has made a weapon that is both an omnissian axe and thunderhammer in one
again, you don't make your own Omnissian axe
its gifted to you by your master/teacher
well, its not NORMAL, no
A poweraxe/Thunder hammer hybrid prolly could be made
but salamanders also just arent normal
but also it wouldn't be an Omnissian axe, it doesn't hold the weight of tradition
Techmarines are weirdos
most techmarines lean more towards the teachings and culture of admech rather than that of their home chapter after so many years being trained by tech priests
^
Yeah they're super warriors that burn children there's nothing normal about them
Techmarines are split between the culture of their chapter and the culture of the mechanicus
sure, but salamanders specifically break all kinds of normal rules for space marines
Uh no
They are pretty compliant
With imperium regulations
Well
rules is the wrong word
Well as rule compliant as a super soldier is anyway
i meant more like
tradition?
thats the word im looking for
You want them to try and break the tradition of the one that literally provides all of their technology and weaponry?
The literal faction that keeps this entire rotting empire running
most space marines dont get to see their pre-spacemarine families
salamanders do
most space marines dont forge their own weapons
salmanders do
Yes but that doesn't make them any good
Yes it's a price
If a salamander is going to use one it's going for be from a mechanicus
The admech are able to take space marines and basically brainwash them into their culture rather than wholly that of their home chapters which is an INSANE feat if you think about it
well yeah, but thats why i specified forged under the guidance of a techpriest
Not one he made
ie, would still be a gift, to some degree
Tech marines go to learn on Mars or an equivalent forgeworld, could be he got so friendly with a teacher that they gifted him one
tech heresy smh
letting outsiders forge their shit
Yeah uh
again, I don't see why a normal poweraxe + thunderhammer hybrid
Mechanicus rules
wouldn't be used
tech marines don't have to carry their omnissian axe everywhere they aren't like tech priests where someone might question if you actually hold a proper rank
Tech marines even wear the cog correct?
Yeah
Like a techmarine is painted in the colors of a forgeworld(usually mars) and like
people usually don't question marines in the first place, much less a cyborg one thats got mechanicus symbols + chapter symbols slapped on them
I don't see why a "standard" poweraxe/hammer hybrid
yeah
fun fact we've seen a grand total of 2 tech marines not in red primarily
it wouldnt be a standard thing
MOST techmarines wouldnt
but salamanders specifically are incredible craftsman, and love power hammers
there's one in a Forgeworld supplement who's in Orange(ryza) and there's that one ultramarine techmarine whos got a lot of blue on him
then make a thunderhammer and poweraxe hybrid
its not an omnissian axe
so i could see a salamander techpriest wanting to incorperate a thunderhammer into his axe
Omnisian Axe aren't just Power axes and hammers
and, if it was made under the guidance of a techpreist, especially a high ranking one
it likely wouldnt be tech heresy
i guess itd be an "omnissian pollaxe"
but like, itd have the same value as a normal omnissian axe
Can also be other type of weapons, the Omnisian part are techno sigils
omnissian axes are power axes
But sometime they are shock, and can even be Chain
Oh yeah wolf funny question
How would a max level Tarnished fair in aos
(i realize this wiki isnt 100% accurate)
Lexi is more accurate
idk
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Omnissian_Axe
this source ALSO says power axe
A holy icon of the Cult Mechanicus, the Omnissian Axe or Omnissian Glaive is granted to adepts who have shown their faith to the Machine God in battle.[1]
These fearsome weapons have no equal amongst power weapons and are only gifted to tech-priests by their superiors. Saw-toothed and marked with sacred equations they are forged with the finest ...
they are specifically power axes
You failed me damn it i thought you know lore
I'm kidding i'm just going to try to figure it out
so yes, omnissian axe ARE power axes
and thunderhammers ARE power hammers
would making a combi poweraxe/thunderhammer be difficult?
sure
but if anybody could do it, itd be the techmarine of the legion known for craftsmanship, specializing in power hammers, under the guidance of a techpriest
it would also just be thematic and cool
You're just changing the head shape
...no?
thunderhammers discharge their energy differently
psword vs paxe is mostly just blade shape, yes
thunderhammers are different
It's not any more difficult for the crazed smiths and engineers of 40k
Thunder hammers are weapons of ancient design, utilizing a power field similar to a power sword or fist, and used by Space Marines and Daemonhunters, primarily by Terminator Assault Squads and characters with access to the relevant armoury[1].
"Where other power weapons emit a constant energy field, the thunder hammer is designed to energize the power field only upon impact, enabling it to conserve energy until it is actually needed, and allowing the weapon to deliver a particularly devastating blow[2]. Upon impact, the thunder hammer's blue energy field explodes with a thunderous crack, more often than not smashing through armour, and leaving a smoking hole that crackles with blue sparks[2]. The power unleashed on impact is such that a warrior not in Terminator armour will likely be knocked over. The weapon's main drawback in combat is its slowness in delivering a strike compared to most other close combat weapons."
so like, discharging the thunderhammer would likely disable the power part of the axe for several seconds
The "Axe" part is not attached/connected to the Wrench part, so why not
If you want that downside
exactly! like, theres already a spot on the axe for it to go
and youd realisticaly just be replaceing a tool
with a different tool
hammer instead of wrench
well i imagine the 2 would be running off the same power source
They don't have to
the idea SOUNDS crazy
but, mechanically and lore wise, its pretty grounded
give salamander techmarines omnissian pollaxes
the ultimate powerweapon
Crazier than regular bullshit that's commonplace in 40k?
i mean
powerweapons are dark age tech iirc
Nopw
i think they are
They are still made modern day
Yeah they are from that era but they are still made today
So they're not really crazy to bring along
Character processing something that cannot be remade however
oddly enough, i cant FIND that on the pwoerhammer page
Now that is what is crazy
Just search up lex power weapon
Lexicanum power weapon to be exact
i checked both the power sword and thunderhammer pages on the lexicanum
and ive now also checked the power weapons page and cant find it there either
I might be miss remembering but Hieronomus Tezla has a Chain Axe, and I think it has been refered to Omnisian Axe before
that tube on the back maxes me believe it may also be a power weapon
Those chains look more tickley than slicey
power chainaxe?
feasible, maybe?
They exist
A chain weapon that is also powered
Kharn has one
Eviscerators my guy
And so do other world eaters
choweraxe
Chain weapons with power fields are a thing
EVISERATORS ARE POWERED?
