No personality, no hands, no head
Feelsbad
Why is Ferrus Manus considered to have no personality anyway? Was he given very little?
Coulda done post mortem character development
Tell that to Abnett
How the hell do chaos space marines work? Like i have no clue how they really function. Like normal khorn followers, do they come back when they die? Is it the same marines that turned coats during the heresy?
Some might but they'd have to be highly blessed to get gifts like that. Some are also the same marines from the Heresy, but many aren't.
I mean it! You could have characters be like "Man, Ferrus always loved his ice cream chocolate dipped..." and shit
He only loved his forge and Fulgrim
That is incredibly broad question
you gotta be more specific drengbarazi
And the only dipped thing were his arms
He now likes chocolate dipped ice cream!
He goes to the icecream man to get his sons a cone
Anyways, everyone will be back for the warhammer 50k final fight (OC written by dan abnett)
you joke but it will happen
every primarch returning dips us more and more into the MCU-ification of this setting and i hate it

Basically, how do we still have so many chaos space marines? Do they just get reborn or are first born and primaris falling to chaos to get them new troops?
Because space marines are extremely fallible and can fall to chaos on a whim + traitor legions recruit
there is no respawning unless you're a daemon prince or a special character
and Traitor Marine hosts arent galaxy encompassing, just like loyalist Chapters, they are numerous but nowhere near as say imperial guard regiments and so on
Traitor legions recruit? As in they make their own marines?
Yes
Oh
They steal geneseed or implant their own ones into recruits
and like... id say theirs is more barbaric but like
you've seen how some loyalist legions recruit

kids getting torn apart by machine gun fire
All right you wrestle this fire breathing dragon that can destroy our city and if you can beat it on the next trial you're going to fight godzilla
idk why chaos just making their own marines never came to my mind. Makes sense i guess.
Yeah theirs is more uhhh "Detroit" fashion wise
Some got it down to a T like the Death Guard who are still coherent and act as a proper legion, others straight up raid loyalist marine strongholds for geneseed.
Basically the more uncoordinated the warbands get (which isnt saying much) the more loose or non-existant their recruiting methods will be
Would this imply World Eaters are one of the few that don't actively recruit?
They do recruit
Their butcher-surgeons are one of the few coherent members in some warbands that actively do the implantation process
OR
Just kidnap loyalist marines and install the butcher's nails into their head

I don't see how the latter suddenly turns you to chaos
Recently in lore they corrupted everyone in a wide area due to some shenanigans I dont remember
Or well I do but idk that doesn't quite add up
and then there was the genius warpsmith honsou who was so good at traumatizing the fans
You literally get brainwashed and go braindead-berserk and just want to kill shit.
Ripe corruption material
But the truth is that theres a lot of chaos forces because the cultists make up a bulk of it
Thats the Murder Curse which is a localized disaster from Angron destroyign a DAOT psychic device
affected an entire indomitus fleet
We still havent gotten over the bump of, an imperial force is Space Marines + Imperial Guards
Its either the Sword or the Hammer
Both of them at the same time?
Impossible
This was Battlefleet 6 or Battlefleet 4?
I know Battlefleet 7 is like super super secretive
Quartus, not sure which that is in greek
yep googled, 4th

Wish they did more with the battlefleets
But like enough for us to inject our guys into it
are you
Maybe its all in your brain-box
Its where all my imperial blorbos go to
Vs all my chaos blorbos in an entire sector
I made my own Nachmund Gauntlet
With blackjack and hookers
Okay... i'll start the HH tonight then...
She said slop not psychological torture
there is a difference there mate there is a difference
LMAO
god dammit he is too deep into with the horse heresy
pass me the shotgun i'm gonna put him out of his misery
I am too deep even at book 0
Stare into the heresy series and it stare backs into you
Is Terra before the heresy an actual nice place to be? Because it's a shithole in M42
Terra has been a shithole since the Age of Strife
the Emperor had some plans to save and expand out from some of the VEEERY few zones that had a little bit of greenery and other stuff left but the Siege basically more or less destroyed the entire planet.
post-30k the only thing that increased to make it even worse was just the entire surface of the planet becoming a single city
I've started Vaults of Terra and they go hard on describing the marvelous life of a regular Terran
Terra is so bad that im pretty sure anything good on it was imported from destroying paradise worlds
Yeah its amazing description-wise
Yep the Vaults of Terra book says this too
"Terra doesnt create, it consumes."
DATED REFERENCE
Fabulous Bill even makes primaris chaos marines at this point too
And the description of the landscape with the religious vox blaring 24/7 and all the shitty toil makes me think of the WB occupied planet in the first WB book
It's all for ((Him))
he is Him™️
Yeah I get that but that doesn't mean you automatically serve chaos. It makes you more vulnerable to it of course, but you don't just turncoat
You do when it literally overturns your mind
this is implanted by chaos marine surgeons ontop of that
Erm I say nay nay
they are aware of what to do to rewire said things
yo say nay nay they lobotomize your brain
Yeah I would and the Butcher-Surgeon will politely allow me to leave
i know you have that human spirit cringe or whatever but brain lobotomy is something you cannot just shrug off
point out my mistake again and i'll cave in your teeth with my ******* hands
Ergo I win!
fuckin mob reject
Good I don't wanna be in that show anyway
Anyway very true
Lobotomy corp generally would be hard to do much of anything
Very well I shall torture you even further
You will now be forced to read every single Dan abnett book in the span of five days and if you do not read it you will be forcefully turned into a normal human being
NOOOOOO--
I still don't know how I feel about space magic lobotomy making you evil suddenly but this is also a setting with no nuance so
Now that I think about it, do traitor guardsmen get the nails?
You also dont get a say in how radiation poisons you
It seeps into you whether you like it or not
Nail tech is so savage that normal human usually don't survive them
…did the latest Necromunda PDF just outright introduced demonic possessed weapons into the Hive wars lol
Fr, death needs to be permanent for the majority of characters, im ok with some coming back, like maybe 1-2 more, but they can’t all mguffin their way back into life
But that won’t happen bc from a marketing standpoint if you bring back another one then the sm fans who didn’t get their father back will whine and complain and we know gw listens to sm/imperium the most so they’ll get it (mostly because it’ll will get them more money)
I want them all back because it makes you guys mad
And this fuels me
Bring back all
Dead alive
Also the lost primarchs
Alternative universe primarchs
Fanfic primarchs
Yes
Inquisition gangs in Necromunda when
THE BLACK VOMITUS
SCOURER OF FLESH
THE BLOODFINGERS
That and the weapon descriptions are all sus
Oh ye
I mean I don’t really care, I’ll just ignore them or just barely acknowledge like I do for 90% of space marine lore
^
I’ll send it to you
BRUH
Gonna spam your dms and emails with it
They're not dead, just missing!
You will like your Corvus raven warp abomination model
If the loyalist Primarch return, I want them to be treated as Greater Daemon and become immortal
And become the target of untold death to prop up new characters
Avatar of Khaine treatment
Unironically the Imperium does need more characters who can die like that and come back
Guilliman's return sacrifice was the firstborn (all hail the Primaris)
What about Lion
They got plot armor, they dont need to respawn
they can stick to their own lane
Ok but some of them literally died
💀
The primarchs I would see come back are exclusively the minor ones, I don’t just want to see Horus heresy showdown part 2, electric boogaloo
Like I would be ok with like vulkan and the khan coming back
Secondly I’d like to see a podcast with the two of them titled that
you can respawn and is basically overpowered
Bad news you're
Khan imo is one of the most boring to come back unless they drastically change him
See I like space wolves and Russ as a concept but I hate how it was executed
enjoy being reduced to a plot device bozo
Good
Is that a tyranid or daemon?
Everyone the Swarmlord gets killed offscreen it fuels me
it's the swarmlord
it's literally the perfect creation of the hive mind
Bro I don’t know ‘nid lore
ITS NOT LORE
They eat people
Don’t know any lore smh
That’s all I need to know
It's literally the main character of the bugs
But yeah it’s the only real Nid character
Old One Eye doesn’t count
Swarmlords purpose is mostly just to change Nid tactics on a war front they’re having an issue with
I mean death leaper could be also pretty good because he does have his own unique model
He’s a consistent separate mind
Unlike old one eye who's literally just a carnifex with a special head mold that is missing a piece
I’ll say it, I don’t want dorn to come back
We already have a tactics and rigor coded primarch come back, we don’t need another one
I do find it funny that the hive mind looked at Zoro from one piece and said hell yeah
Sorry I’m just used to being publicly flogged for expressing an opinion on the internet lol
Tbh I mostly don’t care if most come back, if they do and it’s done well great if not idc
Russ definitely is gonna
Others idk
Can we just focus on characters that arent Space Marines But Bigger
Ohh buddy here you don't have to worry we will listen to your opinion and then beat you to death depending on your answer
I accept that it doesn’t matter what I want because it’s all money driven
basically this
As soon as those goobers start making some
slop
Primarchs are really fucking boring
They are prob the most overrated part of the setting
every primarch is gonna come back anyway tho because money
so doesnt really matter
Oh yay, it’s just if each chapter had a personification
But they really cranked it up to be annoying
Mfer you don’t even know what a Nid looks like
Alright man, that’s fair, allow me explain my reasoning
And those that "can't" will have a replacement (eg: Sanguinus -> Sanguinor, or Dante)
and you're as basic as ultramar shut up
Ultramar isn’t even basic
It’s hilariously unconventional
The real irony of the Ultramarines is how they’re not codex compliant
dont kid yourself, GW will just pull some half assed excuse out of their asses as to why Sanquinus was reborn
I doubt it
We’ll see but I seriously doubt he’s ever coming back
Maybe a juiced up Sanguinor
Or something like that
For some odd reason I saw the blue tones and thought it was some kind of daemon/nid hybrid, don’t ask me why
But I also kinda thought that’d be cool
so Leandros was a bitch
yeah that wouldnt sell as well as a full on Sanquinus mini
Jokes on you, I was never renewed for another season
Tbh it probably would
GW understands the value in their narrative also
There’s a reason they’re spacing out the primarchs and doing it slowly and with a build
And not just churning one out after the next
Basically
They might still do a Sanguinius model but I personally doubt it
Like they really couldn’t be like “yeah the emperor just engineered a blueprint for each space marine legion with certain traits to take on a bunch of threats” they had to be like “yeah first he made a big space marine, and effectively cloned offshoots of him that are offshoots of the emperor to make space marines with different traits”
They’re definitely gonna do a new siege model for him though
And fuck does he need it
His current heresy model sucks
Wait, so the new AoS Community post has confirmed that Iron Jawz are a seperate faction from the Kruleboyz, but their rules will come together in a pack and the Iron Jawz aren't currently getting a Spearhead box, but will get one later.
Well that seems
Weird
That's different!
They're already separated lore wise right so why bother
You're probably not going to play krule boyz if you're going to op for iron jawz
So why are they getting a mixed pack
Sometimes i am a bit confused by way of gw thinking
also
i just need to remind everybody that a box of primaris intercessors directly from GW store costs the same as pre purchasing SM2
at least in my region
can we just
realize how fucking batshit that is
Own a laslock for home defense, since that's what the Emperor intended. Four heretics break into my house. "What the Throne?" As I grab my powdered psywig and laslock rifle. Blow a regicide piece sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my grav pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's scattershot and nails the neighbors servo skull, crushing it. I have to resort to the plasma cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with increased power, "Tally ho lads" the plasma cannon shreds two men in the blast, the sound and splash set off skimmer alarms. Fix chain bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He bleeds out waiting on the Enforcers to arrive since serrated chain bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the Emperor intended.
All that to defend a 10 square meters hab-block
ultramar is REALLY wacky
Yep its in one of the concept artworks for the game
I just found it on the Ark
the fact its on Sister Argenta is just so fitting imo
so what are sentinel worlds?
Similar to fortress worlds
Lynchpin worlds basically
Cadia would have qualified
Fortress Worlds but more important basically
ok
Fortress Worlds can resist on their own (usually), Sentinel World are weaker and will need help more often than not
wait so the ghoul stars gave the nids PTSD?
what's funny about fortress worlds is even though they're treated as being common we barely find any in stories
They’re not that common
oh so the ghoul stars is where the only C'tan to actually die well died
that honestly explains a lot i think
I wonder if there's a sororitas helmet anywhere in game
I’m pretty sure there is
In RT or DT ?
RT
we just barely see any being used in stories. like you'd think krieg would be considered a fortress world right
or valhalla
It's likely because fortress worlds are literally just Fortresses and little else
Not a lot of narrative material save for there being a strategically important fight
they make good "imperium go boom" targets
stuff that seems super strong but gets curb stomped by chaos because grimdark decay
Krieg is covered with nuclear wastelands
theres barely any fortresses on its surface since its not a world made to prepare against any invasion
Man playing iconoclast gives you so many allies lol
but all the population lives in underground bunkers right?
Yep
invading krieg would be an extremely difficult task because of all the stuff that happened to it
but it's not considered a fortress world
Because it's not a fortress
what makes cadia different
or, made, i guess
is it the strategic location of the world?
i'd say it's desired as a strategic target
it's like a forge world but for manpower
Because its cities are literally designed to be fortresses
every store, house, living/merchant quarter is thick concrete blocks with murder holes and machine gun nests or made/built avaliable to be one
And it would not be extremely difficult, its just a nuked world
the resistance would be high but thats kind of it, Krieg are good at laying siege, not at defensive duties especially in their shithole of a planet
I mean, the fighting in the bunkers would probably be extremely brutal as any any fight with long sightlines and little cover
on the flipside i bet they wouldn't flinch at nuking their own world again
since the surface is already so fucked up
If its human on human fighting sure
if its anything like CSM it would be a slaughter
Vraks showcased this in-detail
what about valhalla
less talked about in lore but very similar
everybody lives in big bunker cities
surface is unlivable
They live in underground ice caverns
and actually got a reason for it thats sensible
Yeah probably
They would need to use a lot of lascannons and shit to make it work against CSM
they're also really good at killing orks
Armageddon moment
it was too warm for them

you made me realize that being good at killing orks does not make you good at defeating every type of waaagh
the actual gas mask chads
Armageddon dreaming baybeeeee
you think GW will do another armageddon story?
i feel like they're not done with everybody's favorite greenskin
Yeah at some point in the future. Armageddon is still a pretty important planet lore-wise and the Steel Legion is not unknown enough to be buried unlike some other regimetns
yeah they're very fugly

krieg still being popular makes sense since german and WW1 fans cooming
and their new book
There are so many cool regiments that could be made into minis
And yet, we get Krieg
i'm not complaining tbh
better than more cadians
at least you can find krieg fans
i dont know a single person who genuinely simps for cadians
Yeah but Krieg is memed to death
And I agree, it's better than Cadians
Cadians are just defeault, not good, not bad, just average
Cadians got plenty of fans
they are the cream of the crop
🍦
Also its the reality of "People find them cool but nobody buys them"
its why post 5-6th edition all of the regiment minis got terminated
Yeah, fair
Okay the Ulfar quest was pretty good
i see more people fan over the models instead of the lore
which is the opposite for krieg lol
"Cadia Stands" literally gets spouted everywhere
and people constantly say how badass cadians are as well
its very widespread
Oh the bot didn’t do the thing :(
Cadia stands
NOOoO

ok but how many fans animations do you see of cadians
check mate
plus krieg is more popular outside the nerd circles
i'd know
since i'm not a nerd
here's your crown 👑
Thank you king

Seeing as it got name dropped in the 10th edition core rule book again as being half daemon world yes

By the way I was asked for reupload and hinestly it wasn't my idea.
Probably others too
but im lazy
this is how you can tell dilara is a nerd

People forget that the dow 1 and dow 2 models for stuff was used a lot
We had a lot of cadian stuff before because thats what we could rip
The early knowledge of krieg was also just vraks at the timr
And their origins
And those two things didnt really paint them as a good competent force lmao
i'd venture to say that people enjoy vraks more for their aesthetic and their grimdarkness than anything else
Okay that's Rogue Trader finally finished
And wow like over half my companions are dead
I have some ideas for art but ehhhh
Need to finish comms
at least till Aug when the new dlc drops :P
Write them down somewhere so you don't forget
I mostly just want to draw ulfar finding his squad

I should get back around to playing it more
Me when a party member dies as I instantly reload my last save because I dont want them to go 💀
Just asking opinion, do you think Emperor dying or being revived be a good idea for the lore? Is it possible to pull this (either of this) off?
Hes gonna be revived/return in some capacity in the future due to monetary reasons.
And everything is possible in 40k, its a setting built on thousands of retcons/excuses for miniature games and scenarios to be executed.
Theres no "this is never gonna happen"
As far as I understand, Emperor currently is psychologically completely broken. As someone here told before, his psyche is shattered into thousands of pieces.... Will bringing him back do any good?
I mean if the plot says so yes
The Imperium is already a mess, not much difference there to be had.
There are whole groups of the ecclesiarchy and the inquisition that specifically want either one of htese to happen
some want to kill him permanently so he can fully achieve apotheosis
some want to fully bring him back
some want to kill him because they are terrified of what would happen if he ever woke up
He will probably come back as some warp entity in-full. It makes the most logical sense to keep him physicaly out of the setting while still giving faith miracles/deus ex machina nonsense to people as he sheds his body somehow.
Gives writers better room to work with too
AAAAA IT'S EATING ME ALIVE
I've heard of a theory that if big E dies, where he was godlike or not, sheer belief of the people of the Imperium will birth a new Chaos god.
Thats kinda been confirmed with the final Horus Heresy novel
they practically already have
its just not a "chaos god" per se
Yeah that, its not really even a theory.
Secret Chaos worshippers?
no like he'd fucking kill everyone because he's A. completely insane now
or B. fully drunk with god like power
thats what they worry about anyways
wdym?
he would be a warp entity and a "god" but the chaos gods are the big 4
like ynnead or the laughing god arent considered chaos gods
Theres no concrete rule saying there cant be other deities though is the thing. They are just the dominant 4 since they got their spots secured for millennias by now.
wasn't he already the most powerful being that's not warp bound before he got sent to the throne
And yeah because they arent
Aside from sitting on a rusty chair and juicing the navigator thing in chaos, is he doing anything else?
Making psychic miracles for book characters
And giving visions to certain people
thats kind of it
powering the beacon that keeps the imperium alive
which is a bit of a cop out for GW to make us be all sad if he dies or something
not the right word but you know that feeling uuuh
how do i even use words for this
party baloons?
so you know when a book spends a chapter to describe a forge world and how strong it is, then it gets destroyed and you're supposed to be like ooooh noooo what a loss for the imperium
Oh THAT lmao
To be fair considering hes never gonna perma-die theres nothing to worry about, but i agree.
but essentially that forge world will never impact the narrative again
that's what it feels like with the astrafuckephon
Me @ every 40k book
Just how many Space Marines are Primaris now?
No specific number
majority just are
Firstborn are going out of fashion
yeah so theres nothing saying he'd have to be
I mean there kind of is
to be a Chaos God you need to be in the Warp, have a domain and have quantibillionbajillion followers

giving us random weapons upon mission completion
that takes up like 40% of his cpu space
Stopping terra from being torn into a new eye of terror
Already said.

Yeah but the chaos gods all represent some basic universal part of the psyche, what would he represent?
literally the only thing keeping him around
the fucking indomitable human spirit?
I wouldn't say followers, more like cannon fodder.
Whatever bullshit the writers will come up with
Even the ones in nihilus assisting Lion?
That applies to everyone in the Imperium
I MEAN galaxy
whoops
The dark angels? Yeah
The fallen they’re picking up and redeeming
No
i think it's that there's so many darn humans in the galaxy that they can birth a god by just existing like eldar did
Ngl
They basically are atm
The Emperor is growing in power through faith, its a plot point
Brooks fucked up the Lion book imo
the shittier and more dogmatic the imperium becomes, the stronger the emperor gets
Took away the main few things I wanted to see and also didn’t have anything new
I would say Order, but there's the Dark King who would be Ruin.
How? Isn't Nihilus completely detached from the Imperium?
The dark king?
There are ways to get across
There are 2 safe paths
they just are fairly suicidal
The dark angels got their primaris before crossing
except its completely impassable back
The Dark King is basically the Emperor if he turned evil and succumbed to Chaos to become a Chaos God.
at least in game
shhhh spoilers
"if he turned evil"
hes already evil

If he turned eviler
I was gonna say
The guy literally committed a galactic jihad
and is basically space hitler
but he does have drip

I mean he did commit jihad on the bad Xenos.
"bad xenos"
^
And humans living with xenos
evil emperor be like "all sentient beings must be free of suffering in order to fulfill our manifest destiny"
Humans living with xenos uh
Those where his sons. The Emperor still had a delegation chamber in the Imperial Palace for Xenos envoys.
Was generally kill on site
No they did not
lmao
They had orders to kill xenos and humans living with xenos
^
And humans who didn’t join
The xenos delegation chambers were most likely meant for something
I'd love to see nicehammer 40k, where the human's religious destiny is to improve the lives of themselves and all sentient species
we'd be like gothic coded tau
Horus has a dilemma about this in Book 1 where he doesnt want to attack the Interex due to them having some stuff the Imperium doesnt approve + his dad's orders, and his marines consider him not being genocidal "weird"
Those xenos envoy delegation chambers are odd
Realistically they were for a single xenos species lol
Which would be Eldar 💀
then he gets up from the dinner table and shoots a xeno lover in the face and sells their technology to mechanicus in exchange for favors
And no I don’t consider the species that got turned into a protectorate for being turned into immortality juice
I forgot which book it was but its explained that xenos can rarely get subsumed and basically become a obedient slave race
As a xenos species that isn’t like
theres one example of this in the 30k lore
and they get sucked to death because they realise their bodies are good for rejuvenant treatments

Pouring one out for my homies
It got made illegal but that didn’t stop anyone
🍷
there's those monkey looking things
Jokaero?
they arent accepted
they are also considered evil aliens when they are literally just bing chilling monkeys
i know they're orangutans. my apologies to the primate communtiy
Most apes are pretty smart tbf
Me when a chimp rips my face off for disagreeing with him on the internet
Funny monkey ship make imperial ships go boom
Do Necrons enjoy similar technological edge with Eldars/Tau/Tyranid/Orc/Votann like they have with Imperium?
Me when chimp (I smiled at him and he was lookin' hungry).
Necrons have the best actual technology
necron predate eldar and in the warhammerverse older means more advanced
I meant when Necrons fight Eldar or Tau or Tyranid
yes on Tau and nids
Eldar also generally yes
Necrons
unless the Eldar start pulling random crap out
No one has access to stable time bullshit like necrons do
Since its purely tech
you want to know who does have Eldar Empire era tech
And not dependent on magic
dark eldar
necrons are strong but nerfed by their wackiness
What's stopping them (Necrons) from cleaning out the galaxy like hand sanitizers?
the drukhari can't even use most of the Eldar Empire era tech
And infighting.
eepy
Infighting and damaged brains
Necrons are like regigigas
They have Slow Start
also the eepy
Didn't a Necron unintentionally save Tau and he disinteragrated them right?
yup
Literally all factions fit into this
tau trying to invade a necron world is not something i expected to see
what did they honestly expect to happen
Vior'la sept are batshit insane
they wanted the tech
Me WHEN I FUCKING GET YOU
For the earth caste
and it was really inconvenient for him because he had to kill them
did they succeed
The could fix me
They got barely any useful stuff out of it
how tf could you assault a active tomb world
and it was considered a failure
besides maybe exterminatus
being batshit insane, incredibly violent
so basically like trying to invade a nid fleet while it's already feeding on the liquified biomass of a ruined planet
They want a landing party
Yeah
More fun
but even then they can probably prevent or disable that
Why need to strategize when you're immortal and can turn things to dust? you just pick a direction and pull trigger (pretty much how Guardsmen fight)
I meant successfully
They also
Send a techno virus.
im starting to like these blue fucks
even mechanicus arent this insane
also necrons are incredibly petty and can be really lazhy
oh I love tau
specifically farsight enclaves
Didn't they do that on their first expedition into a Necron Tomb World?
FSE and Vior'la sept might as well be the same in terms of how they fight and their mindset lol
at least they didnt know what to expect
Which Necron dynasty has gotten the closest to infusing necrodermis with flesh and bone?
because farsight is from Vior'la
you got the "10000 bees on fb messenger" meme? I want that but 10,000 scarabs
come outside
the only ones actively experimenting are the Szarekhan Dynasty
I see I see
Szeras has sucessful shoved necrodermis into humans
except farsight is at least somewhat sucessful, and he doesnt mindlessly jump into fights he cant win, he usually refrains from fighting if he can help it
So far the only bodies that can withstand reverse biotransference are Space Marines and be sane.
Vior'la are also sucessful tbf
Did it come out like pariahs or what happened?
they're also just really really hot blooded
he just says he considered it a failure and not worth pursuing
whatever that means
Ooof
We don't know how it was shoved in
isnt the majority or at least the silent king trying to regain mortal bodies again?
They are detiritus to him.
actually rare lmao
Eldars are relatively sane.
Dark Eldars are sadists with sophisticated taste.
What's the deal with Harlequins?
It should be more common, considering necrons
Funny
But it really isnt surprisingly enough
they pull intergalactic pranks
Harlequins are both depending on which Masque you are facing
of like tzeenchian scale
And Trazyn has one in his musem gallery too, Lol.
"one"
there's also whatever the fuck these necrons are
he has entire masques
What's their goal? Why are they separate from other kinds of Eldars?
💀
the theory is that like
those are szeras's experiment
but also like its just an art piece lol
Could be, considering the middle one has ragged clothes around his chest
its just the necrons look very human esque
Basically they are Eldar who feel the call of Cegorach the Laughing God and get whisked away by other harlequins or feel called to his service and disappear before appearing back as Harlequins.
Their aim is to basically follow their gods will, this is their tabletop excuse for being anywhere or fighting anyone at any given time. Also to make chaos blow up because chaos sucks.
They also do plays on eldar, dark eldar, and sometimes even human worlds.
the human audiences dont realize they are aliens most of the time 💀
Iron Hands could figure out how to use their necrodermis. But I think they might need the Mechanius help for that.
tbh
necrodermis as a material isn't the worst to figure out
its getting it thats horrid
Have you heard about eating it?
Like.... fighting WITH humans?
medusa is like 99% chance a like
They will fight with or against anyone
fucked up tomb world
like they are already almost impossible to kill
anything for the bit
because when they move its like diamond blur shapes
doesn't it regrow
Correct.
yes
just farm it then
inside your stomach especially
I would like to see one fight Jagathai Khan now.
which is a mystery to everyone but the necrons who clearly have no problems with this
Could be a mystery even to them tbh
Yeah this is like going "if you find oil just pick it in buckets"
Necrons have completely mastered necrodermis, its their own material
they can change their appearances and surroundings on a whim with it
their magical item
I wonder if they just have barrels of pure necrodermis to play with if they want to set up a tomb world on a planet
They can create it from thin air when its like crypteks
or through canopteks
they are LITERALLY playing minecraft
If thats the case, would that mean despite their losses, could they make more necron warriors?
Kind of
need brain
^
I see I see
if they're gona do that
Canopteks are robots so you can make them infinitely, warriors/necron units that once were people are limited in number
i thought all necrons were once alive
There's a Necron Lord and his entire army who are blinged out in gold necrodermis. They can travel light speed or faster cause of it too, due to his crypteks making it for him. Besides the fact he sees himself as a literal Star too, lol.
the humanoid-esque ones are,
Yeah I was wondering if the souls thing was a limiting factor for necron warrior production
even the shitty ones?
Correct me if I'm wrong.
So there's this Trazyn guy. He is necron with passion of collecting "things".
I'm not sure but I think I heard him fighting for imperium in Cadia.
What does he want (other than adding more things to collection? What is his stance with other necrons?
his own dynasty kind of hates him, other necrons think he's stupid
very few necrons actually appricate his like
museam lol
he's a meme character
you know it's true
the premise of the character is kind of silly
Honestly Id like to be his friend :)
thats a hallmark of a lot of necron tech
with all the spite, hatred, pettiness and intelligence that comes with that
The closest being he had to a friend serves him now as a thrall controlled by Nano machines in him when he wanted to die.
he only exists for GW to be like look at this mysterious thing that he owns oooooh it could be a thunder warrior or some shit
Oh... so he's not acting alone?
yeah
Solamance is his tombworld
his own dynasty tolerates him
they do not like him on their crownworld
because he has uh sticky fingers
overlords are like the 2nd in command of a dynasty right?
no
well
sorta?
There's overlords who will serve that role
but most rule their own tombworlds
I bet you guys they'll evolve Gazghkull into being a Krork. His kinda close to being the size of one, espically his new body that he got head transplanted too.
Ghazkull isn't even at The Beast™️ levels yet
he generally is acting with just his forces + himself
but he does have support/actual obligations
Basically Trazyn is a literal museum collector, he explains it in his book that he more or less collects things because history is important and that it should be preserved, anything of importance is collected by him, whether its people or inanimate objects, its where his grimdark qualities come from sometimes.
As for him on Cadia, he basically went there because one of his museum pieces; a holy church bell; started ringing 13 times to signal the 13th black crusade since it had psychic properties and after he threw it into the webway for destroying the gallery it was in he went to Cadia to see what was up and maybe collect anything he deemed worth the effort.
In the actual war while it was going on he was mostly going around like a safari hunter with his deathmark sniper-bodyguard seeing anyone worth yoinking, his most important effort was making sure Cadia wasnt destroyed in the very first hour of battle before chaos forces even landed on the planet by helping re-activate the orbital shield around the entire planet when Abaddon used the blackstone fortress to try and destroy Cadia in one swoop which failed thanks to Trazyn, forcing him into a ground battle. From there he just hips-hops in the background as said above before finally deciding to leave once the show is properly over.
In his own words he was simply there because he wanted to try being a hero for a bit for the evil glee/fun of it.

he theoretically could reach that if he keeps fighting really strong foes and surviving/winning though?
orks have no real upper limit do they? they are like dragon ball characters
He also has a statue of himself. People on the world he saved call him a skinny Space Marine.
yeah
because my god the writing for it was ass
Yeah but the issue is it gets mentioned in recent lore
so its never going away
sorry folks
yeah

They wont lmao
the chances of happening are 0
More than one beast is kinda dumb too.
at this rate
its too funny to let die honestly
it was literally "BUT WAIT, THERES MORE"
you forgot how it took a ton of Vulkans effort + other people to kill it
and then like
all the other beasts get killed off screen
by the assasinorum
Also its a mess because iirc there was a lot of scheduling/idea clashes during the production of the books in the studio lol
I mean honestly that's kind of hilarious
like how many fucking assassins did you send lol
He literally was only there to save the planet because he was recording his new tiktok video 💀
The entire temples, lol.
thanks.. both for the info and actually taking time and effort to write all of it.
i thought the SOS kill them by "injecting their blank mumbojumbo into the wagg"
Where do I get more of Trazyn
Szarekh is my king
Pretty much everyone hates him cause he’s stolen from everyone
Not that loser Imotekh
that was the one they helped Vulkan kill
lmao
(he says, with 4 warhammer books he still hs to finish before that)
Which is why the whole
All the other beasts dying off screen crap
via the assaasinorum
only in Infinite and the Divine and the Fall of Cadia in some side chapters alas
and just the assasinorum is insane
Vulkan is gonna come back though. Because fuck he is harder to kill than your average perputual.
that was just so dumb
realistically Vulkan is back already
and he's just chilling on some rock
And probably hates the imperium even more
We made the deathwatch, nah dont need them
since last time
he is just hiding in a corner in the salamander's vault
Though he loves his sons. Even though most of them he hasn't met yet.
oh also imperial fists turning to chaos after working with the iron warriors because uh
its dishonorable to betray them or something
MY BROTHER IN CHRIST SOME OF YOU WERE FROM THE SIEGE OF TERRA
Can't spell assasinorum without ass

What's the deal with silent king? is he still silent? or asleep with his buddies? or did he started talking?
Ferraus would cry to see how his sons are now.
I FUCKING HATE THE WRA OF THE BEAST ITS SO ASS
he doesn't talk, the 2 necrons with him talk
his fist, his imperial fist
didnt the whole of the OG imperial fists get wiped out
also war of the beast has one of the biggest continuity fuck ups ever in a book
lol
is he doing anything or just sitting there?
Oh yea. I remember that the Emperor thought about Malacdor's saying to turn all the Primarchs into sisters so they wouldn't fight as much was a joke.
they had to reform the chapter from the vaulted geneseed iirc
the 2 necrons with him talk
The War of the beast has Centurion power armor around 5k years before its discovered

Though I think the Fists Exemplar who were the majority replacing the fists still had a few heresy dudes around so it basically makes no difference
thank you very cool
yeah
Still pretty funny that the entire chapter goes and dies in some rock and just leaves the phalanx unattended
I'm sure there was like
ngl thats very par the coarse for the war of the beast
a lot of shit happened that literally changed nothing
The Silent King part of the title comes from him having a "triarch" (3) party, basically him and 2 speakers that sit on the platforms next to his big throne platform you can see if you look at his model.
The Silent King basically is the main big-brain dude behind the idea that Necrons should listen to the c'tan and he had his people in chains be brought to the bio-furnaces that transformed them into robots, after that he realised he was betrayed and he more or less led his people to their doom, so he broke the c'tan then left the galaxy in exile before humanity was even organic matter in the world's seas.
He WAS actually in lore in the mid 2000's but like in a single mention and we never heard from him, it was only with the 9th edition that his return was properly established, he currently leads the Szarekhan Dynasty (after his own name) in an effort to reverse the bio-transferrence that made the necrons into what they are and also completely cut off the Warp from the milky way through the use of massive Pariah Nexuses which creates blank spots in the galaxy and allow zero warp energy to get through.
At the moment he also has a big-dick rival with another necron named Imotekh whos a big military-head army-necron-person who seeks to undermine him and show people that hes a dumbass due to his plan of wanting to return to "flesh".

Suffice to say he AIN'T the sharpest phase-blade in the shed
Speaking of Necrons
Epitaph was a pretty cool setpiece
I like how they portrayed the repair systems
is Imotekh the one with the super fucked up scarab variation that just cut people up and turn them into target markers for flayed ones?
I see! They have their own Emperor and Horus
The only reason why Necrons have free will was because Szarekh threw away the command protocols out the window.
Whenever theres an old timer theres always a youngster that wants to see em donw
3 Necrons walked into a bar... 2 said ouch, 1 didn't.
Thats Imotekh
hes a war criminal like that
Szarekh will just shoot you

I love him, I like obyron and zandrekh more though, I also like oltyx
Imotekh still a bitch. Still funny that his flagship got flown into a sun.
he is called the stormlord right?
yep
why is that
Uhhh
Imotekh is less of a Horus more of a uh Goge Vandire ig?
lol
His more or less Settra.
yeah im sorry thats literally it, the most random ability ever
you can almost imagine the writers
"he needs a gimmick aside from cutting hands"
"Uhhh storm control???"
"yeah sure add it in"
LOL
Speaking of this is the only female necron that is like givin a screen time right
yep
I know female necrons are a thing but she's like the only one who's like an overlord or something
one moment
Phaeron Nektarrik
soon there will be another one, the necron leader in mechanicus 2 is female
I also like Szarekh
In the distance, the primal howl of a neck beard can be heard
best part is the author literally confirmed it on his twitter that it was 100% intentional
I fucking love mechanicus 2, pump it into my veins!!!
Well damn she's a girl boss like that I suppose
Still waiting for GW to use Outsider to return back to the Milky Way and show the Necrons of betraying their literal Star Gods.
man im so hyped for that game, 2 of my fav factions going head to head once again and this time we can be both sides
oh also she most likely deposed of the former Phaeron btw
He will one day free himself from the dyson sphere
💀
I just want it to be more random mission wise and more replayable
don't call her that smh
I love that writer, the name eludes me rn
also why wouldnt they be trans
Elite spelling abilities strike again
Necrons have gender? If you're not reproducing, or having sex... how do you define it?
it literally is thokt
Uh basically just as a social status
they are literally immortal beings that can shape their form however they want
however they wnat
pre biotransference gender generally
just like irl
Oh...
