pay the troll toll
but yeah there were even lava trolls
Lava Trolls - Lava Trolls are only a briefly mentioned breed that lives within magma caverns deep beneath the Dark Lands. Chaos Dwarfs have been known to use massive harpoon-guns to take down these beasts, as they are the only known Troll breed able to endure the effects of fire, which is a Troll's one true weakness.[7b]
That's insane, honestly how did they not win the end times
Chaos has a lot of fire
and lava trolls are considered a breed of chaos troll
Ahh
Yeah that's why often trolls are balanced with them being so ******* stupid you can fool them
do they make you pay the troll toll
if they're smarter than you maybe
are you calling me dumb
am i?
I'm sure a couple of them can get uppity and try something. I know there were trolls that did that before they became the first bile trolls
if iron hands guy was here he'd say yes
yeah they're basically all brawn no brain it's even one of the things that makes them different in the table top RPG
they have one in mind and soul but 5 in body
which means that physically they can demolish everything but when it comes to doing anything else
they're about as sharp as a blunt machete
I love his quote, he sounds so happy :)
and hey if that doesn't work i guess you can also get the river troll which is apparently a bit smarter and can projectile vomit something so disgusting it melts metal
Are they like river hags from Fantasy at all?
Noooooo.....
I think the fantasy ones are smarter typically
they're basically the same species of river troll yeah
but troll hags are smarter
Gotcha gotcha
Shoulda known
Surströmming (pronounced [ˈsʉ̂ːˌʂʈrœmːɪŋ]; Swedish for 'sour herring') is lightly salted, fermented Baltic Sea herring traditional to Swedish cuisine since at least the 16th century. It is distinct from fried or pickled herring.
The Baltic herring, known as strömming in Swedish, is smaller than the Atlantic herring found in the North Sea. Tradit...
That's
huh
i'm honestly a bit speechless i'm going to be honest
Iirc it originated from times when fishing villages would have massive pods of herring pass by
Where they had a huge surplus of fish caught
And couldn’t even salt it all
So they just buried it and let it ferment and uh
Yeah
Then being humans they got a taste for that type of fish and now it’s a thing
i mean cuisines from around the world isn't really surprising to me but sometimes these things can still clap you with surprising amount of force
It’s typically prepared with a lot of extra stuff but yeah it smells exactly how you’d think
Probably similar to rotting fermented fish
I wonder if it tastes okay though
youtubers opening these things dont get that you're supposed to do it in a container of water away from the eating area
apparently it doesnt taste bad
Generally it’s prepared with a lot of stuff and it’s not too bad from what I’ve heard
But yeah the meme thing is open it in a enclosed room and try it raw
British cuisine scares me
You conquer almost the entire world and you don't season damn anything
I've spent a day with an absolute Dune fan and atm I can't think of anything else when I hear spice
^
The most fun is that we were going to a Concert, that person and a friend of his are collegues of my dad, and he was very knowledgeable about Dune
But had only just started to read the source material
Stilgar was the best hype man I've seen in a while when it comes to movies.
He’s great
Such food, along with famous chinese century egg is NOT meant to be eaten by itself. Because by lonesome, the taste can be invasive.
BUT. Paired with side dish of whatever the locals tell you it works with may turn unspeakable into a curious treat.
So all the youtubers trying either of those and retching in disgust are correct.
.BECAUSE THRY EAT IT THE WRONG WAY.
Why didn't they just make hot pockets....are they stupid?
I was introduced to Spore before Dune so I was very confused on why they called the main resource Spice of all things, thought they just liked cooking.
Me looking at sci-fi: wtf, it’s all just Dune references.
treba mi podrska do 1000000 subskrajbera
Pekara Gardos 21blok
Dune and Asimov
For pure fantasy it's LotR and Moorkock
Also damn
I wouldn't mind trying century egg at some point, but I wonder what it pairs well with
Hmm
Tofu.
We do have a kind of fermented fish paste from where i was from
Apparently it smells atrocious, but it has been so long i have completely forgotten what it smells and tastes like
congee, tofu, if you want to eat them on their own add black vinegar
I quite like them stirfried with vegtables
Fellas, I got some bad news 😞😞

Oh cool
One day I'll have some and keep this all in mind
Maybe one day anyway
Soooo, long story short....
I was almost done with my extended shift at consignment yard Hl 54-67, cause some dumbass went and died on the job and caused lot problems before that, and I was promptly summoned by the factorum foreman that was designated on that site.
Me and some other blokes were summoned to the maintenance subsection of the yard, and foreman proceeded to chew us out for onset delays of the scheduled train car repairs...
Mainly it's not my fault for the given damage of the carts that are not what was described in the repair forum, so some cars needed a more "intrinsic" repairs from total use and abuse they've been receiving.
So the foreman goes, "You sorry sack of Grox #### are so incompetent, that you can't simply reweld the box frame back onto the chassis?"

I "respectfully" spoke out and stated that the chassis main structure for most of these carts had a compromised conductive center plate and that it'll give out and completely break the axle within a couple shipments.
Then the foreman got "PISSED"
He dismissed the other blokes and really started to grill me calling me an "incompetent twit", a "that'll he'll have me hide for causing all these delays and such..."
It went on for like twenty minutes or so...
Sorry I lost my train of thought it's happening all so fast...
Right...
So I tried to reassure him that though the repair was timely and extensive, the structural integrity significantly improved with whatever parameters it was set...
But he didn't really care about that part...
And said that he'll "have my employment "termination" set within the next hour"
In a last desperate attempt, I "convinced",(bribery ), him to not to be so hasty on that decision and that he should think a little bit more about it...
Anyway about 48 hrs later while on shift a couple enforcers "escorted*" me for "questioning".
So now I'm under suspicion for the disappearance of the foreman....
Well the story was longer than I intended to be...
---> for those that are TL;DR <------
I was last seen with the foreman and is now put under the suspicion of murder and possibly Heresy....
Ngl that first message almost got me
I almost thought you got into an incident at your job
I mean, you are but like wow
I'm in like a prison rn I think, awaiting trail...
But the question is, how does Law and Order work? Who orchestrates the law? (Like a judge or law maker) Who enforces the law? What happens to the guilty? (Outside the obviousherp pe derr death innocence means nothing herp de derr)
Uhh Arbites are the ones that are basically police officers, so if they're trying to do a fair trial and shit, its likely a kangaroo court
Hmmm
I know very little of the Arbites

This is also assuming they just dont shoot the guy on the spot
Presume that it's under the terms of "capture alive"
Yeah probably some sort of kangaroo court would be my guess
Arbites dont really care about plebs. And even if you got arrested youl likely die before its your turn to stand trail.
Mmm hmm
True, Arbites arent exactly the best at governing the poorer districts
But for those who survive arrest and make it too trial. How does the court order go? Is there a "Judge"
It's fine if you don't have an exact answer for it...
Next question....
What happens to those that get a fate worse than death??
you become a servitor.
Or a servo skull
Is there other sentences outside of "involuntary worker" or flying skull
They kick you in the balls
No eternal its a punishment not your kink
Honestly there might be torture as penance, be assigned to penal colony, become an flagellant, and so on
Da heck is a penal colony??
Kinda what it sounds like, a colony that’s mostly made up of prisoners, forced labor camps, sent to penal legions, etc
Can they also be used as Cannon fodder??
While most are obviously made to be OBLITERATED has there been any penal fighters (or whatever they're called) that earn back their freedom/loyalty?
Ah
Ok, let's go back to let's say in a hive city (any of your particular choosing), and you (the nice folks answering my questions) are a hive ganger and the enforces pulled a sting operation and captured you alive. Where would they hold you for imprisonment/interrogation?
....
....
Right I'll put a pin on that later...
I do have a question outside of law and order. That didn't really get much of an answer of....
I mean, there ARE jail blocks in enforcer stations that we go through in darktide
Ahh
We have a little jail possibly as drunk tank and temporary detaining at the start of a hab block investigation mission just below the first blast door
Ooohhh
And there is an entire prison complex at the boss fight where you go through abandoned enforcer station
And a small interrogation nook by a station thing tileset right before the train station terminus
Ok
So about my other question...
Given most citizens are not nobles or someone of higher importance. Let's say someone has a sense of decency when finding my corpse and try to honor it some way. Is there like funeral rites or something of a graveyard/mausoleum?
penal battalions are peak 40k
you can tell the concept came directly from rogue trader edition
there's entire worlds dedicated to being graveyards but it's not that common. if you're worth anything to the imperium you might be entombed somewhere nice or if you're really popular your corpse might be sold to rich nobles in pieces as souvenirs lol
Are there other methods besides burials, like cremation or something...
i think navy officers are just sent in space coffins?
that or they're burned in the ship's reactor. i dont remember
the imperium likes honouring the dead by putting their bodies in places of worship
usually at least
Ship crews are fed to the engine
So the engines get to eat a few crewmembers as a treat
Of course the new Votann Killteam get special rules for 40k
Why didn't the Drukhari
drukhari are lame that's why
i want to hear about the depths of depravity that humanity sinks to not some yee yee ass space elves

Right....
So I'm getting dragged to my trial rn, if you don't hear from me....
@thorn zenith gets the first clue to my secret aquilla stash, and the rest of ya can prolly kill each other for I own that isn't nailed down to the ground...
Byyyyyyyyyeeeeeee
Nurgle worship?
Only if you have an excess of toenails
you're very comedic today
made me laugh twice, wow
More than the ones on your feet is an excess of toenails
So these are the new space dwarves? I thought they'd be shorter
And more burly
I am wondering what would happen if a chainsword wielder and a power sword wielder clashed?
Would the power sword just go through the chainsword like nothing?
Does it mean that you can't block or parry it unless you also have a power sword?
Yup
Depends on the chain weapon
And the power weapon
Marine ones typically can take a bit of it before breaking, and some of the best chain weapons can easily class with a power weapon
But 1:1 the power weapon will destroy it yes
At least eventually
yeah eviscerators for example have a weak power field like power weapons
Yeah
There’s also stuff like space wolf chain weapons made from kraken teeth
Daemon weapons, and so on
Basically every primarch chain weapon is an example of this too
Good to know, thanks for the answers
Gorechild
yeah heavily modified chain weapons often have some way to imitate power fields
to increase cutting power
Or they’re just literally built different
yeah spine grinder doesn't really care if it has a power field or not if it is blessed by the God of War
Dorn and the Lions chain weapons similarly don’t either and they still do absolutely fine against similarly nuts primarch weapons
unless the chain weapon has a power field or has some special properties the chain sword go die
Funnily enough both of them got them before they made contact with the Imperium
For some reason people just left a massive fucking chainsword on Caliban
For Dorn iirc the people of Inwit made it for him
I'd assume it was used by some like
But that’s impossible
Since Inwit would have to exist for them to do that
absolute busted primarch weapons before imperium would have to be either daot heirloom or mystical weapon, but after imperium it just makes sense because you do not give THE SONS OF THE EMPEROR a normal lasgun
Do SM even use las weapons? On foot
Devastators are still around
Also Lascannons
They generally dont have specialized las weapons otherwise for marketing reasons among other things yeah
the bolter is more of their posterboy weapon
More often than not the diverse customization options it has allows it to be very useful in just about every scenario
One of mu coworkers has been playing some 40k games and now hes learning the lore.
Poor soul
To be subjected to such torment
I cannot imagine
Hes a fan of the grey knights and deathwatch
Oh no oh no
Can you inject some Ogryn propaganda into his research?
is he a reasonable person
You good boss?
yeah i just missed type of bit don't worry about it
i'm stupid you don't have to worry about that so anyway is he reasonable
And yeah he is.
Good good
Make sure whatever you do he doesn't get exposed to the more annoying people if you catch my drifting tank
He already knows about the darker side of the community
well shit
This guy is sounding better and better by the second
Yeah he was asking me about book suggestions xD dude was almost gonna just jump feet first into the horus heresey
Oh lord
your a good friend for saving him
just give him like the suggestions in the server that should help him
bro im talking with my friends about how everyone talks about the Infinite and the Divine and how popular it is
then i come in to this chat and see this shit

It spreads like a mind virus
get divined bozo

Hey, sidenote: In terms of equipment and war machines, what does the Militarum use in terms of Arial combat?
Slingshots
If the enemy has a fighter jet of their own... Do we also have something of a fighter jet of our own??
No we got Wright Brothers-style airplanes
Militarum uses stuff like valkyries at most
All of their aircraft are transports
or its the weird gunship
Hmm
the uh vulture
Ok
if the Guard want proper aerial support the navy has to provide it
ariel
hush smh
jets and bombers are Imperial Navy territory
yeah
So the navy has the better flying war machines
the Aeronautica Imperialis is what the division is called
yes the navy has access to all the actual in atmo fighters
Some planes are meant for in atmosphere flights, some are for void only, but Im pretty sure they have dual purpose ones too
Technically all the navy's flyers can operate in space
but also they're so small they wouldn't be impactful arguably
gotta gear it for that reentry dont they
yeah 40k at least does keep some sense that space battles are done across hundreds of kilometers away
Hey between the Navy and the Militarum, what terms of slang do they refer to each other???
dont know if there are terms between them that they call each other, I feel like most writers forget that Imperial Navy exists lmao
the navy doesn't exist unless the author remembers
then they just get called the funny word
voidsmen
Hmmm
yeah I a voids men
Admirals in the Navy tend to have the highest authority for defence, I think
the scale of Space combat in 40k is silly tbh
shit like the Manta being classified as a Fighter Bomber

Sector Admirals are some of the tippy top ranks one can get
Right
Second sidenote:
Given the Militarum and the Navy use conscription/enlistment. There's gotta be some sort of boot camp or training regiment to make "fine quality" soldiers.
yeah, its their own homeworlds conditions
and their upbringing that already make them fine quality
Oohh
Mordians exclusively pull from their gangs, and the surviving gang members are inducted into the new regiments
mordians dont pull no punches too, so all previous rivalries are quashed immediately
I.E Armageddon
Some are ingrained from their culture
Cadians
and Catachans
they are born to fight and kill
a good portion of training for some regiments are done on the massive ships theyre in
during warp travel, they do drills and training inside the ship, cause what else are you supposed to do
Probably not get butt ### by whatever monstrosity that joins the trip into wrap travel....
gellar field failures are a thing, but not often as one would kinda think
Im very partial to 40k Mechanized Regiments
love those regiments
got everything you want
Infantry, APCs, and the occassional Tank Line, and maybe one Baneblade.
In terms of the navy what would a light Ariel bomber jet look like? For like bombing runs and such.
I dont think 40k has light aircraft as dedicated bombers
they just have big plane as bomber, the Marauder Bomber aircraft
which needs to be escorted
Ah, ok
usually
the Thunderbolts are used for everything you want
it can be outfitted for skirmishes, bombing runs, escorts and what not
same applies for like Space Marine Thunderhawks
I mean if they ever decide to develop the, more and more humans are being born as psykers every year subplot it'll get kinda hard to ignore. ||That's a lie, GW is great at ignoring things when convenient||
Yeah... IF THEY WANNA FORGET PLOT POINTS THEN DONT MAKE EM
Were the Eldar always psykers, or was their psychic awakening so far long ago not even the eldest of their kind remember those days?
as far as we know the Eldar were always psykers
but eldar history that far back is
pretty vague
Damn the last book in Psychic Awakening was 2020
those are the campaign books. The most recent book in the era is the IG psyker one
Psychic awakening was a set of campaign books and is the current furthest point in the timeline
Campaign books? oh I thought they were book books
Ritual of the Damned seems the most interesting, but I enjoy Magnus' shenenigans so
it contains the infamous magnus victory lap into deus ex machina via khorne
Khorne helping sorcerers, weird af
No, magnus got fucked, by khorne
via the funny axe logan grimnar has
Judging by some of Ulfar's dialogue in the RT game, you'd think there'd be a larger problem of khornite traitor wolves
especially with the whole, consorting with spirits thing
Oh he uses an ax he stole from a Chaos Champion wtf Logan you moron
Didn't papa Leman tell you not to touch the chaos stuff
I love ulfar so much, one of the best written characters
unfortunately hes incredibly buggy and one of the weakest tema members
Why is he so flimsy, he can't use cover wtf he not tougher
Gave him a heavy stubber tho, that was fun to watch
I need to restart my traitor run
You may wait on the dlc release, I have a heavy suspicion that the Death Cult Assassin can be tempted to chaos, as they tend too
I’m not far enough in to be a problem so I want to restart tot get the buffed rewards for destroying the shrine world
Khorne or Slannesh, who the hell knows, martial profectionism vs bloodletting for bloodletting's sake
To bad we prefer the bird
I banished the chicken in 1 turn, get fucking alpha striked nerd
Act 4 is a lot better than it was, hopefully even more so after the next patch
Do you know the difference between killing the bird or serving it
No, haven't done a heretical run
Life's short, go crazy, I get it
No, my traders life will be exceedingly long and painful
he also cant use almost any equipment in the game
its like, hes supposed to be special because hes big and use power armor
and they were like
that would be OP
so they made him weaker than a normal human even when wearing full power armor xD
meanwhile my heinrix has 400% dodge and parry and reactive shooting and 4 parrys stacking so he 1 shots anyone who attacks him
How much power do commissars have? Like, at what point of power use/abuse, they get court marshalled? Also, who does the court marshall-ing for them?
They get court marshelled by being fragged
You will have to check the 6000 page manual on the proper conduct of a commissar, available at your local schola progenium.
Comissars technically can kill whoever they please, but very few are stupid enough to actually do that
Otherwise, up to the writer. 🙂
^also this
I imagine if there's a judicial process it'd likely be done by the Comissariat
By whom?
By the guard
A comissar who pisses off everyone around them ends up with a fatal case of ork sniperitis
Pop goes the Schlommissar
So... they have full control over the unit of guardsmen they command. How do the Imperium/whoever in higher command ensure they stay faithful or ensure they consider the betterment of imperium? How do they ensure someone is meritorious enough to become a commissar?
Schola Progenium
Comissars exclusively come from the schola progenium. Which means they pretty much get brainwashed and abused from since they’re a kid to an adult
Comissars very rarely go traitor
The average commissar is probably not comparable to a normal person/conscript
The average comissar is utterly deranged
And would make a tempestus scion look like a calm and rational person
You have rare cases like Cain
Cain is surprisingly well adjusted
we have all 3 flavors of comissar in books
Cain, Gaunt and Raine all fulfill one of the usual stereotypes
The guy who banged a snaalesh demon, an inquisitor, and a governor?
LOL
How about Yarrick?
Cain is an example of a Comissar who's a well adjusted and rational human being
Yarrick falls into the stereotypical comissar archetype of literal psycopath with a tiny shred of empathy
Gaunt is a "comissar"
he's more of just an officer then an actual comissar
Heard he has a fanbase among the Orcs
Severina Raine also falls into the same sterotype of Yarrick but turn up the general psycho behavior more
but isn't overly obsessed with a single thing(orks)
Yarrick would probably be similar but he has Orks to hate
Yarrick also hasn't blown a company commanders head off before
Considering how commissars are portrayed (at least in the artworks) leading the charge battlefield, don't they targeted by more intelligent enemies? Like Tao or Eldars
So units have backup commissars sitting on the bench?
Or guardsmen just follows their default instruction, "shoot in general direction"?
when its necessary they will be
well comissars aren't officers
well normal officers
They have authority but they're not traditionally battlefield leaders
^
when they're on the battlefield it means shit has hit the fan in some way
and their presence is necessary for inspiration
bro
i feel cheated
i feel outright clowned
you've got to be kidding me
WHY CAN I KEEP PLAYING THE GAME
IT'S TAUNTING ME
so I haven't really thought about Ogryn getting the Bone 'ead implant as a sinister thing until reading the latest class bundle. Seems pretty obvious this is sinister and a way to clamp down on a smarter-than-average Ogryn leading an uprising, right? Anyone got info related to the topic?
Smarter then average ogryn usually end up being killed in Munda
so I'd assume it happens on other worlds
omg me
bruh
bro
due to the lack of spikes imperial
Correct
only such barbaric beings would use skulls for deco- nevermind
What skull? Head empty
So those who know of Battlefleet or warhammer ship-stuff, does the Mourningstar have any powerful lances equipped? I'm not sure what some materials mean by lances exactly and not sure if they take the form of that giant underslung laser cannon on the prow and wings, or if the smaller batteries on the side can also be lances.
tldr; What guns do you see on the Mourningstar?
It has no lance battery, or forward mounted lance I see macro batteries and torpedo tubes
Lance batteries look like this
So the side turret things are the macro batteries then
Yeah
If it had a prow mounted lance it would look something like this
Brahms firestorm is modified
Since it’s lacking the prow mounted lance and has torpedo tubes
Ya that's what I was thinking, no lance or ramming dingus. So that sword has a lance battery on the top of prow too?
It’s a light macro battery
The firestorm is the only escort that has a lance
The lance is the big cannon
The longer I look at brahm’s ship the more cursed it gets
I do not like this
I have now come to the conclusion it is either a super heavily modified firestorm, it’s a custom built ship or it’s some unnamed type of ship
I think there are 2 sources specifying it's a firestorm variant
Okay so it’s just heavily modified
It’s had the top macro battery stripped off and has 6 torpedo tubes.
6 torpedo tubes is also horrifying on a ship this small
Oh, why is that?
Because that’s fire power that’s on the level of grand or battle cruisers lol
The mourningstar would absolutely shred any large ship that’s slow to maneuver
Oh wtf
That
Kind of looks like one
That might be a really weird lance
do you have any other angels?
That single under-lance doesn't seem to be in the puppetworks trailers.
or Rejects will Rise trailer, I don't think
Maybe it was cut
regardless of what might be a lance, it still has exceptional firepower?
Also, are Thunderbolt fighters very significant? I see they are mentioned a few times and I assume these are probably in service to Brahms as well. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Thunderbolt
The Thunderbolt heavy fighter is the workhorse of the Imperial Navy.[2] A rugged and reliable design, with good firepower and maneuverability, the Thunderbolt has been in service for centuries and remains well-liked by its crews.[1a]
Thunderbolts/lightings are an in atmosphere fighter. The mourning star most likely has some onboard
Assuming brahm’s dynasty hasn’t fallen on hard times
There’s prolly a lot of dif types of in atmosphere ships
Imperial, those are Duskhounds
So odd question, but after seeing some space marine vehicles in Death company colours from GW, does that mean they let blood angels who have fallen to the black rage drive or pilot vehicles?
I believe they’re driven by normal marines and are mostly for deployment
It’s worth noting though that Death Company aren’t completely incapable of doing stuff like that
They still operate as marines fine they just heavily favor melee and obviously see everything as taking place on Terra
They're deluded, not incapable
Yeah it’s also why a death company marine who was a champion or whatever is more dangerous
Since they’re using the skills they had still
And in general it’s what makes them dangerous and comparable to why Khornate Berserkers are dangerous
Would a necromorph be under the domain of nurgle or khorn?
Neither
Yea Necromorphs are extensions of the Brethren Moons, the way a regular Gaunt is an extension of the Tyranid Hivemind
Yeah pretty much.
So if they were in 40k they'd be unknown elder evil/warp entity stuff rather than any specific God
This yeah.
the brethren moon we do know that are actively sentient and evil tho, since the necromorphs types they make are made to be as killy as possible.
hence the suicide-bomb fetuses from Dead Space 2
lol
I need to do a new playthrough ofDeadspace 2 again. Damn i love tht game, thanks!
The scene where the woman hallucinates and thinks it's her baby 💀
bro the entire school section
the teacher notes mentioning how every kid has an imaginary friend now
christ 💀
Aye even when I know more or less what's going to happen, its still chilling
^
When DS2 came out the first hour was too much for me and never continued it
never was good with horror games
YEP. Same.
Did play through 3 because it was a lot less scary
DS2 is nice enough tho
DS2 is real good but more like Aliens
DS1 is more Alien
prob the best comparison the fandom uses most of the time
Wheres ron Perlman

But also yeah theres a reason necromorphs are probably one of the best horror monsters in fiction
Its unbeatable
their idea is so simple but they are just scary
Necromorphs and the brethern moons scare me cause how they seem so inevitable
hence I tried painting the Leviathan box tyranids with necromorph like skin over the carapace but proved a bit too bothersome after one test model
Yeah that is way too much work lmao
also hard to do a skin that looks like that
I dont like the idea of a future where the undead are just inevitable
It helps that after Dead Space 1 the devs said after seeing the success of the game they instantly went to creating the lore for them before dead space 2 even started
and we still dont know where they are from
Scawy
the entire thing with Markers and other shit is super intricate
i remember being younger and not understanding anything
but still finding it spooky
man this was a year ago already
Thats me after I stub my toe

I used to be scared about the reapers
But since they can die
I fear them no longer
Yea Reapers are one of the things which kinda got ruined by explaining them
I liked their explanation somewhat
But it ultimately wasnt as awesome as one would think they are
I felt the explanation lessened what they were
The Leviathans needed to do a butlerian Jihad
Without the Reapers we wouldnt have our hero
Like they were hyped up as an inevitable immutable threat and then we're told "Yea it's an AI that misunderstood it's orders"
Marauder Shields
yeah i think the same applies to Necromorphs, we know just enough about them but minus their origin iirc
I also feel like the Reapers didn't need to be explained
Necromorph origins be like, oh the Markers are actually intelligent computers using human neural computing
Its just Ai gone rogue but different
just wait until EA starts feeling peckish for some new DS and they'll explain how necromorphs were created by a precursor human race
Adam and Eve were from the first Markers
PLEASE
NO MORE PRECURSOR RACE TROPE
How about…the Red Son Trope…
The Markers are living Paradoxes
aside from the Moons sending markers to planets iirc
and preparing that race for consumption
Markers are the element of a time loop
It's actually Adam and Lilith and one of them is on the moon or something....
I want one of these sci fi horror games just go absolutely
Like
Bat shit, and just be uber religious
It's been a long time since I've watched Evangelion
I do love how like
God sent the Markers
"Unitology is not a mockery of Scientology. Im totally not saying this so they dont sue us."

Is that the gay one
I mean
Look in the mirror
Kinda
You sure about that?
Yeah watched the final film
he's coma sexual
Most whack ass ending but i loved it
Because i dont have to deal with Eva ever again
Eva's ending is ironically good
All of them are
minus the entire thing of Shinji reversing everything lol
But this final one made me tear up because its all over
And i dont have to deal with it anymore
i really did like how just the entirety of humanity turns into primordial goop
and its the most horrifying thing ever
Its like beating cancer
Shinji is pretty gay for Kaworu though
You dont want to lose your Self Identity and join all of us to be part of one single unity?
Fucking pussio
Dead Space is the Western Eva
^
I think one of the reasons I love Eva a bit is just the creator outright saying he did religious imagery because he thought it looked neat and theres no higher message to it
its so fucking funny
"i just think crosses look neat bruh"
Convergence is literally just instrumentality
also this yeah
Imagine he looked at islam instead
Got them Evas tied to bananas
bastard
Turkey with only 5
Also my question was more. If necromorphs fell under a chaos god. Would it be Nurgle or khorn
Not religious enough
If we had to go by gimmick probably nurgle
Nurgle
Its decay
since like the necromorph thing is basically a plague
And singleness
Also total acceptance
Lmao
I thought there was a possibility for khorn because I'd imagine your average necro is psychically emanating forms of anger not thought possible
Yeah its more that the Marker makes people basically infected and turn into necromorphs by re-animating after death
Khorne is more just simple-minded violence
Khorne is direct too, the Marker misguides and tricks
Personally I'd still say Necro's would be there own thing, but if they had to be under a Chaos God I'd say Tzeentch
Thats a no no
Man the discord gif search is so busted on mobile
This is the biggest one
New question: If Death Companies librarians did exist, could they show people around them their visions while in battle?
the Markers actively manipulate people
Tried to do a funny and the whole app just became unresponsive
Like, extremely, earth shatteringly, unreasonably fuck ass mad
Like, black rage ends up infecting guardsmen or sisters of battle.
Probably not, i dont think sanguinius knows enough of psychic powers to do so
Yeah their psychic rage is bonded to them
Its also a re-recording of his last memory
So its something overwriting
Its like when the entire chat types out your spelling mistake
it very much has to do with like uh, the extremely small warp-essence in their geneseed that every primarch also had to some degree.
Also if one librarian gets afflicted goes black rage
And his brothers are nearby
Wouldnt that just make everything worst
to be fair
Like Thats grounds for extreme extinction
death company dreadnaughts are literally just as dumb of an idea, yet exist solely because it looks cool
so dont question it lmao
If anything black rage librarians would perma have wings of sanguinius
Pretty sure Librarians that fall to the Rage are instantly executed
Mephiston is the exception because he was trapped under rubble
I mean, you can't take someone out of a dreadnought once they are in.
So they couldn't execute him
You can, but only once
can't you take the "pod" the vegetable is in out of the mech suit basically
and swap it with another cucumber
Refining my statement, you can't take someone out of a dreadnought and make them fight again without it.
Its more that they are super destructive and dangerous too.
Remember that these ideas are considered as miniatures first and the lore for them is written in later.
It all goes down to "will this look cool and make people buy this miniature."
its why we got wulfen dreadnaught
even if its like
the most braindead idea
ever
LOL
I've got a feeling that they'll make Primaris Wulfen as a kill-team.
GW cant ever stop just fucking over Space Wolves models
Nothing is impossible lmao
No, nothing for Space Wolves
they deserve it
wulfen riding wolves
wulfen dreadnaught ridden by wulfen on thunderwolves...
lizardmen style
space wolves could be neat if they'd ditch the whole wolf thing
Space Wolves will get more helmets that make them look like furrys and they'll like it
We want a wulfen dreadnought
Ok
Make sure he has an ugly ass fucking face too
Uh ok
^
holy shit GW just stop
I like the idea of a werewolf dreadnaught but like
could you have designed it in ANY other way
i hate the space wolves
Add a wulf head.
We want an update for Logan GW Modellers
Sure thing GW boss
Make him ride a sleigh
What
Pulled by wolves
What
KEK
I mean that's the best thing SW have
that's what happened to santa
Imagine if they let SW use the Leman Russ tanks again.
You know how Space Wolves is a ranged army
Yeah?
Dont give them any new primaris sprues
What
Sons of Morkai are just reivers
I'd like to say Logan has the capacity to look cool
at this point fuck it give all the SW dog tails
It's Wulfen powered.
But for some reason they added this fucking thing
i'd fucking die laughing
They are literally the gifted kid who ends being autisically addicted furries and trains
keep the norse shit and get rid of the woof bark stuff honestly
SW saved
but alas
They should dial up on the norse shit
Get all the wrong people here
And maybe Black Templar players can finally play a different army
My new Space Wolf, Blacksun Wolf the Bald head
"Lorehead, we need you to write a chaos space wolf"
"Okay what should I call him"
"Svane Wulfbad"
"What"
you can tell he's an evil space wolf
like a fucked up distorted version of them
a what if wolves were bad
They should do actual accurate Norse stuff instead of “uhhh, they like war, don’t listen and wolves”
more runic shit
Still probably one of my favorites though because most chapters to me are boring
Well that's the difference between Horus Heresy SW and 40k SW, HH has all the Norse Runic stuff, 40k has all the Wolf stuff
Fuck yeah
except the wolf helmets fuck that
Problem?
the wolfing wolfdick of russ
I mean also just not all of Norse society was about plundering and war, they have a pretty interesting history as diplomats and traders, the pirating was just kinda what they got known for by other civilizations
Like I get if the marines are all battle crazy because that was a section of the population and they’re space marines which are literally built for war
But the populace of fenris is also kinda one dimensional that way and that’s lame
I'm not here for barterhammer 40k I'm here to get my shit kicked in by a racist furry
Like I said, I’m fine with space marines being straight up berserkers, that’s cool
I’d just like to see more unique stuff from their home culture on fenris since they already take a lot from it more than other chapters, besides just fucking wolves everywhere
to be honest I dont think I've seen a space wolves codex in which they weren't insanely OTT with the wolf stuff
and I'm old enough for random zoomers to call me a tomb king
And to be fair, we don’t see anyone in a fur suit, id probably describe them as more like toxic masculinity “alphas” just like really obsessed with references to wolves to show they’re cool and edgy
“Throw me to the wolves and I’ll come back their leader” type shit
if I remember right it was the codex when they sprouted the full on riding wolves as mounts that it really picked up as a 'this might be a bit much' with the community
"You're an Alpha? is that a furry thing?"
Thunderwolf cavalry I think?
I fucking love that
I use that line anytime someone unironically uses the word alpha
If only it worked for “sigma” cause that’s what people say now
ask them if they're a calculator
Yea, unfortunately it works better than explaining to them that the whole Alpha male wolf thing isn't real.
that poor researcher guy
Fr
These guys don’t know shit about wolves
My brother in Christ they are social creatures, not just assholes
show me the wolf in fake tan who never does leg day
Yea he did like one paper studying wolves in captivity, then studied wolves in the wild and found his original paper to be completely wrong and spent the rest of his life proving it, yet most people still go around believing the original one.
Also they’re always like “look at me I’m so strong and independent and free thinking” no you fucking are not, you are brainwashed by dumbasses who are profiting off you like Andrew Tate and the rest
Or the fucking eat only raw meat and organs guy
Gotta give props to him though
That’s scholarly dedication
He could have easily just left it
and the gun has a wolf bayonnet
The only thing more annoying than the Space Wolves overuse of wolves is how people can’t shut up about it
Yes wolf mcwolfy lord wolf wolf
deserved
never beating the furry allegiation
Hilarious
gw's fault
There’s plenty of memes which are rooted in fact or have some basis, they’re still overdone and annoying
like i get it its satire but it reminds me of how edgy preteen kids are obsessed with wolves
like those corny realistic print wolf t shirts
The Pack
bonus points if there's a full moon in the background
the irony of self proclaimed "loners" being obsessed with one of the most social animals on earth will never not be funny to me
i get it, the notion of lone wolf
Yea it's another myth about the whole "Lone Wolf" thing, where it's seen as being super independent and not needing anyone, but like anyone that knows Wolves knows that lone wolves are social outcasts that did something wrong and usually die pretty quickly without a pack.
to be fair to them on the lone wolf thing, if I remember right there's a unit called Lone Wolf and half the point of them in a space wolves army was to get extra points by getting them killed immediately
Yea they're the last surviving member of a squad who hasn't earned a place amongst the Wolf Guard, they basically have to swear an oath to fight the biggest Monster they can find to redeem themselves or die in the attempt
which on the other hand makes the space wolves really opposed to not working as a pack
cos if you become a last survivor you BEST be getting your ass killed off heroically
Well the goal is to survive
They want you to win the fight, redeem your fallen squadmates and then join the Wolf Guard
If you die, you failed
true, but kids arent the most well informed people
Kids? We're talking 20-30 year olds
yes kids
Yeah you know the term Man child exist for a reason
Most of the time yes it's just adult apparent to being childish but most of the time it is correct by a large margin
"kids" on the internet for me broadly refers to people who have the mentality of children
like the people who consume the female custodes videos with AI thumbnails
babies easily duped into outrage
yeah the internet is full of them
people who never developed past the teenage years mentally
More accurate to say that maturity does not come with age.
I don’t think of myself as an Internet edgelord and I still feel immature at times.
Ulgo feel wise. Dunno if am wise. Just like to be kind
we all have our weaknesses, but being generally unwise when you could at least keep good form is honestly a bit cringe
Ulgo didnt understand. But if Ulgo not wise, then Ulgo kind. If not kind? Then it not Ulgo.
I feel you
I'm aware that I'm immature for my age, but like I've got a condition where my brain literally develops slower than normal peoples.
If you try be nice, not care if mature. Politeness matter more.
basically; be sniveling when you can be kind
i am fucking stupid there's no sugar coating that
I'm basically mortarion without the blessings of Nurgle
but some people makes me really wonder what the hell did they go through
Is true, but why snivel now? Heretic to krump with friends!
im not gonna say that im mature either, nowadays i just roll with not being upset with things on the internet because i already have enough stress in my daily life. That and only taking the piss when its good spirits funny
Sometimes, it bad. Sometimes it good. Everyboby's story different
If he was also unusually aloof
Good thinkin!
because some people are just heretics
Understandable big man but what the hell kind of story did they read for them to think that our Wi-Fi tower spread some kinds of disease
If that explanation makes sense
Mood brother
Bad childhood.
Krump heretics
Theres entirely too much rage these days
Everyone just wants to scream at each others and own each others
Even i am not immune to it lmao
Ironically I just spent far too long on the wrong priorities that wasn’t even politics related.
Took me this long to get my head looking the right way.
There's a lot of reasons for that
Time to look at the newest reactionary discourse and make fun of sexists
Cant say that i dont understand lmao, its like this everywhere regardless of context
Most of them are ether far too political or far to personal for me to get into here
Yea im aware, its a shitty world all around
Don't worry, there's bound to be another person who'll show up out of the blue randomly to complain about something very weird and rule breaking next month
It always fucking happens in this Fandom doesn't it
If you ignore it you can avoid most of it at least
yeah but this fandom is quite notorious for having some of the brick beaten brained fools
Most good spaces clamp down on it thankfully
Atleast
Because the people that complain about shit like that are typically negative influences anyway, funny how that works
Like despite of my personal gripes with how GW handles the setting and everything surrounding it. Atleast I can take solus in the fact that people are trying to take the trash out
Trash = the kinds of people who'd complain about the custodies retcon (you know the one)
Yearp
Ulgo not care if female custodies. Ulgo think it neat an adds color to world
The correct position
Ulgo see it that way. No female space marines because sisters of battle exist, so no need for them.
Sisters not on level with Custodies so it logical there some girls
Yes we get it people who complain about female Custodes and stuff are lame let’s cut the loop off here
Name your favorite guard regiment
Tanith first an only
like the emergence of people who claim to be Warhammerr fans when it was revealed that custodes had women were hilarious
like not too long ago all of them were complaining about the garbage rules then they noticed the lore text and they just lose it immediately
from rule complaining to complaining about women in their fictional army
Ulgo think it dumb! Why snivel when boss is woman? Stupid
Ulgo ogryn, so am okay. If Sah says kill it not matter voice or body Sah is Sah
Funny thing is. Complaining about the rules is valid
i mean i get some of them, but i do not have enough dogs in the matter to warrant me speaking of it
My brain is the size of a walnut so my favourite is the one I'm currently reading about, the 11th Antari Rifles.
Nether do i
them complaining about the rules make sense that was the funny part
but then they just had to complain about something that was stupid
I don't have nearly enough time and money to play tabletop. I'm just a lore nerd who plays some of the games occasionally
I was pointing out the obvious
yes but I find it so funny I just had to point at it the second time
wokeness reactionary effect does strange things to people
Wokeness is both a non issue and brain poison
In the sense that anyone who takes "wokeness" seriously has if it's a plot is brain poisoned
...
Anyway
TERRA WAS AN ACT OF SELF DEFENSE
Moderation in all things is the way to go, full sending it in either direction is not good
fair enough
This also makes me laugh lol
I will say that it felt like i brought this convo to a stretching halt
Perhaps hit in head?
nah lmao, i do have some things to say about the matter but it would prolly stray too far from the point of the channel
Meybe
Maybe listened to bad info, like them podcasts
That too yes
Methinks sometimes people become too accustomed to their bubble of thought, which causes them to go further and further down rabbit holes that they cannot escape from, as these thought processes have become tied to their sense of self, so they stay stuck in these ridiculous circles because they feel connected to it
Sorry, bone 'ead implant sparked up there for a bit
Dw big man. I'd say that's good actually
How do you feel about the current state of helldivers 2 btw?
I enjoy it, I think there needs to be more variety though, a lot of loadouts and support options just are weird generalist or middle ground options that dont do anything better than anything else and that makes me sad
I'm not being hyperbolic when I say I legitimately hate the current state of the game
Community angry. Not care. Is game fun? Sure. All okay
Blame Sony
I blame Arrowhead as well
That allowed too yes
So yohan could take the CCO position and work on his game more directly
He's still charman of the bord and owns the company as such
Ah ok
So... what changes?
From beginning to now, HD2 is like the Imperium. At the start and in the first month, it felt like we were literally on the Great Crusade, literally claiming planets and completing MOs. But after the PSN issue, that was basically our Horus Heresy. That one moderator lost his job but the community managed to hold off the account requirement. So right now we’re in an age of Stagnation, with 177 countries still having players who can’t get the game
The new ceo basically exists to deal with sony and the financial issues. And answers directly to yohan
I cannot figure out how to spell his last name
But that sadly implies one more disaster to represent the Age of Apostasy…
(Goge Vandire)
My take, Everything hinges on this next patch. Summer break is already around the corner for some schools, hopefully by then the fixes will be made, and a surge of players will rise again.
Well all the best to the Helldivers out there…
Not gonna call myself one since I don’t have the game.
I’ve been around for a while, since the beginning of the Attrition at Malevelon Creek
You can be anyfin. What stoppin you from bein helldiver?
"Stop playin the creek" stop snivelin an get back to yer hole!
I’m honestly living the dream of my favorite IG regiments, the Elysian Drop Troops when playing Helldivers 2
Very nice!
Time, life is short of time lol.
Yes very true!!
The is no short supply on the need of more Helldivers
the effect of the sony debacle is definitely still felt, and it leaves a big scar for what i wouldve said was a big goty contender
balance could use work, but that should be done alongside relisting the countries that got off'd in the debacle
It’s really unfair for those who aren’t listed. I call it a Pyrrhic victory for the community.
yeah, i got banned from their discord otherwise i would be pinging up the community on it too
getting that done, with some major buffs across the board, are the best things they could do before letting time heal
Ultimately, I was prepared to do the account link. My gaming account holds little value of my information. But it can feel like a nuisance having to create one account to the next just to play one game
What did you do to get banned off there?
i got banned in the big F spammage
Ohhhh that
i didnt exactly get involved because i was waiting to see where it falls
And people call us bad mods

i mean, the blame was directly on their mod lmao
Reminds me of the World Eaters over the issue of implanting the Butcher’s Nails after the events on Ghenna
Me watching people condemn one of the mods into a witch hunt even though what the mod did was perfectly reasonable
telling literal hundreds of thousand pee brain gamers to not do something and pinging everyone? express ticket to meltdown town
didnt that mod also had something to do with another mass ban prior? or did i get different people mixed up
The only good policy is ether radio silence or active hostility
No it's one of the people here once
Attempted a witch hunt for something stupid
Declare warfare on your own fanbase
Wasnt that Darcy or someone else?
