also i'm 12 hours late but to the discussion about outfiting regiments with good stuff, you have to keep in mind that the astra militarum functions mainly with quantity over quality
there's some exceptions like kasrkin and tempestus scions
but by and large when you're trying to equip 100'000 people with weaponry you cannot afford to give even half of them power armor
especially given that most aren't expected to survive more than 6 minutes of combat

Heh, I just had a random remembrance of one of the lore tidbits from my D&D setting, there's an Empire where all the Nobles are all Albino and culturally they view it as a "Right to rule" thing from the Gods and I've had players do whole things trying to figure out what fantasy powers these Nobles have because of it or asking if they get special powers if they're one of these nobles but really the answer is they just have plain regular real world Albinism and no special powers that distinguish them from commoners.
