prolly why they never show up alone
well my 1 destiny homie
tbh
Lightfall was just a mess writing wise
bcs its clear bungie went through
at least 3 different fucking iterations
of the story
but already had things recorded for said 3 iterations
and tried stiching them together to salvage something
i liked the moon expansion and Mars expansion the best
I liked Witch Queen and the Gambit one the most
The only thing I know about destiny is that if I am going to play it I'm going to play Titan
mostly because I like The Nine
MOONS HAUNTED
The Nine are sick imo
Ohh yeah Speaking of how powerful is an average guardian
my biggest problem with destiny is the rpg part is incredibly shallow
Average guardian? Superhuman strength and regeneration
can toss out things that violate the laws of physics
still vulnerable to being incredibly overconfident
and foolhardy
Also Guardian Armor in general is like
not the best
the City's armor industrial base pales in comparison to its weapon production
OK what about one that is say like the best of the best like a veteran guardian
Literally a match for an Army
Or can kill a planet lol
Osiris literally wiped out an entire brood of hive
the entire bloodline of a hive brood
on his own
only reason he lost his light was because of his own overconfidence in the situation
and made a mistake in trying to figuratively punch out a Hive God's avatar lol
that he had just participated in the ritual of with said mass murder lol
So a high level titan can humble a Bloodthirster in a fist fight
a bloodthirster would kill a titan if the Titan let said bloodthirster hit them
Just need ONE GOOD HIT
Compared to each other
Both sides are now glass cannons
yeah
Whoever hits first wins
Also all guardian weapons are technically a "psychic" attack
Since they infuse their weapons with light while usingthem
in a raw fistfight probably not
Unless a titan has an ultimate where they sucker punch someone
The notion of light countering daemons is also classic
now granted if you have some fucking freak of nature like Wei Ning
Johnny Cage ball punch
who managed to fucking shake a mountain(literally)
with a punch
then yeah I think my bets on the titan ngl
but she's a freak of nature in regard to her abilities
I feel like khornate fleets would just shoot the massive orb/moon thing that gives the guardians their power
and also dead
The Traveler is indestructable
as far as we know
it can be supressed however
In destinys universe
Khorne gonna go to his fridge
And pull out the coldest
Can of whoop ass
For the love of the game
does that mean that their weapons can distrupt the tyranid hive mind
probably not?
Supression would
seeing as it stops any active use of "ontological and paracausal forces"
How do khorne factions interact with tyranids anyway?
The super melee faction vs the super melee faction
there's a khornate lord who ascended to daemonhood
by providing eight massive tyranid skulls
to the skull throne
There are very few things that can match the blood god's warriors in melee
Cain did
A very skilled berserker can take down a carnifex if he feels like it
also destiny 2 has a fucking miniature blackhole gun lol
as in it shoots tiny black holes
One that is super injured and is basically missing limbs
I’m sure a horde of 30 bugs with razor sharp claws can
Why does it do that and who invented it
we will never know
but guardians like it a lot
and it gets distributed among them
If I can shoot something that obliterates matter at a molecular level then of course I would have it
A black hole is a black hole
also the first time it was shown off
was during a crucible match
which is a bloodsport that gets broadcasted live to The Last City lol
The Crucible being broadcasted live is always funny to me tbh
since its like
literally people killing each other
like yeah they can come back to life but there's still blood and they physically die lol
People dying increases the ratings you gotta admit
What’s makes khorne warriors so good at melee anyway? Are they just like super roided up like what a norscan is to an empire soldier that a khorne berzekrer is to a regular space marine or something?
I don’t think it’s training
Sheer aggression and a lot of physical force
Cause all space marines go super hard into training
Khorne malding when I hit his super warrior with a plasma shot
Actual parry this moment
lol
Funny you say that because he's more blessed the warriors do have magic designed specifically to **** over range
But I'm pretty sure you would be good most of the time shooting them
Also some khornate worshipers like shooting people
And they get blessings to make them shoot better
You can shoot them as you charge
I think khorne would love creeping artillery
I mean khorne has the blood pact
A wave of heavy artillery shells raining from the sky as the horde of berserkers, demons and cultists move forward
you do have the skull cannon
What do you mean that’s an artillery piece? I use that thing as a melee unit in total war
The world eater codex lore mentions butcher surgeons and world eater heavy weapons
The world eater rules uh
So I came up with a concept for a faction in said fantasy/sci fi setting, yall wanna hear it and give your thoughts? I'm trying to make semi distinct factions that arent just ripoffs from existing media
sure
I’ll hear it
Just fire daemons and berserkers with the artillery
alright, wall of text time
this is literally just a draft I came up with on my drive home while listening to this so its pretty rough around the edges
Khorne warriors deploying

I have a concept for a faction, the name I have so far is The Atlas Collective, a multi-species group of colonists, prospectors, outcasts, and deserters who live a nomadic life on an ancient generation ship turned into a floating supercolony, the Collective is primarily a massive mining prospect, travelling from world to world, to gather resources, trade, and occasionally stake claims. Founded by the last captain of the original colonist fleets sent by humanity before the invention of FTL travel. Having taken thousands of years, and countless generations of hopeful colonists to reach their destination deep into the Galactic Fringe, Finnegan Atlas, the final captain before arriving, decided that to travel incalculable expanses of void only to plant a few pockets of relative safety was a waste to all the lives given to make it this far. After reaching their destination, the captain rallied those of a similar mindset together to form the fledgeling Atlas Collective. Their aim to create a self sustaining society that could travel the galaxy as they see fit, to offer safehaven across countless systems from the horrors in between the stars, to any who would seek it.
Legally distinct leagues of votaan ripoff, but less isolationist
Are the leagues considered a human faction by the imperium?
Don’t let them see the robots
no they're still Abhumans
Or god forbid the cores
the league downplays their tech around the imperium
Because if the imperium find out that there is just a group of them walking around with dark age of technology level tech they are going to war
I was thinking them being able to space travel would be hard to downplay
But
Ork’s
So like I don’t know anymore lol
it ain't exactly a tall margin isn't it
I just wanted to make a kinda collectivist faction thats nomadic with a somewhat naive outlook (The setting is supposed to be some amount of grim dark)
thoughts, comments, questions?
do they employ child soldiers
It works
I don't think its bad
Yeah other than my hilariously bad comment it works very well
I think its a good idea
And hey the bar of having a ridiculous faction isn't really existent because well destiny warhammer and other sci-fi media have that
ironic you were listening to We All Lift Together when you came up with that lol
I mean they probably wouldnt encourage it
yeah lol
I want that vibe
alright good enough for me
considering the Solaris are enslaved
Yeah I dont know warframe lore
I'm just a sucker for work songs
have you heard the other song sung by the Solaris after a large story event lol
or I guess during a story quest
I just wanted the vibe of a lot of people working together with a common goal
I have not
WARNING: This video’s song lyrics contains spoilers for The New War
Lyrics:
Healed, the pain of independence
Strong, our wise and trusted friend
We, united in one vision
Rise to sing of sorrow's end
He, the bringer of the vision
Bids you answer to his call
Praise the wise and mighty Ballas
Heed the ruler of us all
For we're all One
And...
its different
is all I'll say lol
if yall have questions or ideas on how to to expound upon its identity, I am happy to brainstorm
how do they maintain their ships, seeing as they're traveling constantly
Stop at systems to extract resources and perform field repairs
the main ship in the fleet is like ark mechanicus levels of big
with dedicated industry areas and whatnot, in fact thats a lot of it since it was originally a ship designed to seed mining colonies once they reached their destination
heres some more lore I cooked up
that makes sense
The culture of the Collective is based around shared responsibility, all members big and small do their part to keep the group as a whole functioning, outside of this, the Atlas Collective's laws are few and far between, believing in large amounts of autonomy based in ideals of honor and a sense of brotherhood to keep its members together
Atlas himself believed in rising above judgement for judgements sake, and as such the collective has taken this to heart, and is one of the more tolerant factions at play in the galaxy, accepting nearly all into the fold so long as you assist your fellows, they do not care who you were before you stepped aboard, aliens, criminals, the downtrodden, all are welcome, though originally just ship born humans, it has expanded into much more since its inception Atlas himself believed in rising above judgement for judgements sake, and as such the collective has taken this to heart, and is one of the more tolerant factions at play in the galaxy, accepting nearly all into the fold so long as you assist your fellows, they do not care who you were before you stepped aboard, aliens, criminals, the downtrodden, all are welcome, though originally just ship born humans, it has expanded into much more since its inception
and when I say constantly I mean regularly
because it takes a lot to prep that large of a ship/fleet for FTL travel
oh btw, its been made to be FTL capable since that tech has become available, long after the rest of humanity though
I imagine it like the colonies of the imperium, lots has happened since they were founded
so theyre somewhat behind on galactic happenings
since they are so far out
I c
I also have this half baked allegory relating to the greek myth of atlas being flipped on its head, instead of one being holding up a planet, its a large group of people working together to support its weight
Idk how to flesh out this relating to the rest of the galaxy/add more details, as in what questions to ask
And since it’s a grim dark setting, and they’re a bit too bright for that, I’ll probably have them be overly naive and hopeful which causes issues
Have there ever been xenos in the inquisition or is it a purely human organization
Yea, would an alien bird be considered a xenos?
Yes
the imperium is a lot less harsh on non-sentient xenos vs anything that can talk
we love our funny space monkey mechanics
the psyker enhancing space cats
it feels like the 'xenos' term is usually reserved for intelligent species capable of some sorta civilization.... like grox is fine and accepted and it ain't heresy to eat grox
as a retinue member or asset yes
not as a full member
There’s been multiple inquisitors with Xenos in their retinue yeah
especially for Malleus tbh
Jokaero are fairly common
yeah
As are other mercenary species
Sslyth and Kroot are often seen too.
Sslyth are such a weird merc race tbh
Compared to alternatives... I'd expect radical xenos guys would be more open
Blood axe orks do a lot of dirty work for the inquisition too but of course the risk that comes with hiring them is often a lot
I love the lore that the Drukhari like to employ them since since they’re reliable and much more trustworthy
Than hiring a Drukhari
But yeah radical xenos inquisitors will too
Generally speaking working with xenos directly and that closely is pretty radical
Bronislaw Czevak being a good example
Arguably the example
Although he kinda had everyone and their mom on his ass at various points
See how megadouchebag Calcazar from Rogue Trader game straight up worked with a whole bunch of drukhari
I still have beef with the guy after so long, dude was like "its only heresy if i lose" and still had the whole gall to chide us for not being 100% dogmatic
Such is why I had Nomos remotely deactivate his cock and balls
abelard, kick this guy in the-

Wanted ask smart queshion but forgot it
i went against calcazar mostly because he decidd to step in my oatmeal
i was totally hey u do ur thing i do mine ill help if it makes sense
and then he had to step in my fucking oatmeal
Is the Warhammer 40k wiki or lexicanum better?
lexi
lexicanum has more detail
Depend, but Lexi is more trustworthy
Yeah I'm reading about Bronislaw Czevak, and the wiki is much more robust
They copy and paste every thing
Without checking most of the time
Lex may seem a bit less detailed but they do research and reduce the fluff basically
i think i stumble across headcanon a lot more in wiki
The fantasy lex isn't great
Now that I’m thinking about it, is this faction concept going in too many directions? I feel like their motivations are kinda flimsy
old custodes do go hard
goofhammer
i think they're a lot more badass when they're just superhumans without any technology helping them kick ass
i always thought the idea of a space marine without armour is a lot scarier than a big guy in a suit with a big gun
can you imagine being hunted by somebody as big as a custodes except they're also completely silent
So i know i'm definitely the outlier here because most horror monsters are big and terrifying
BUT i think there's nothing scarier than just a big fucking guy trying to kill you
case in point, mister X from resident evil 2
I think there's also something horrifying about a marine or custodes just running at you because of the uncanny valley effect and the fact that something that big shouldnt move that fast
YES
it just feels so off
like no wonder guardsmen shit their pants when they're being bum rushed by something twice their size
the people on Deliverance when they hear the prisoners have been raising some kind of man thing that appeared randomly.
Imagine something much larger and faster than custodes, and not just silent, but something your mind cant physically detect.
only space marine i want cannon
I actually kinda like the idea of a mass produced SM that the Imperium tried to develop on its own, but they're only marginally better than Temptus Scions
lots of the founding 100 regiments on terra use gene modding
they're as close to space marines as you can get
wasn't the solar auxilla pretty badass? I don't think they were augmented or modded though
So regular dude get to wear power armor?
Always have
Sort of curious why they won't give that stuff more special forces?
Because it’s expensive as fuck
Fair enough
The Solar Auxilia also had standard issue Volkite early on
But eventually that became too costly to make and maintain
A big thing too is they got much bigger in size
Even if humanity faces a war for survival, it still bends to the will of the mighty market
Supply and demand always exists in all economies
You can’t materialize more rare materials
Depends.
In most cases/stories in 40k supply/demand does not exist.
Literally only a few books and the gigachad imperial armor books ever cover this issue.

"Its expensive."
Every single sororitas gets power armor
Including their hospitaller nuns....
A nun relegated to medical task has armor better than of the guard
Yeah like, just dont question logistics
people try to explain it but it doesnt work lol
I always think of it as they don't want to spend the money to do it rather than they're unable to afford it
It’s not complicated, SoB aren’t even close to as numerous as the guard and they have the backing of a super powerful organization
They’re elite
Yup, but hey one thing is sure...if you're part of normal every day citizenry. The best you're getting is a shirt and a flashlight
They get the cool toys
There are rare guard regiments with some super expensive and rare gear too
Elysian drop troops? Scintillan Fusiliers, uh who else? Harakoni?
Volpone Bluebloods are one which comes to mind
They all get carapace, super high end guns, power weapons, the works
That gold? Auramite gilding.
They are literally millions to billions of Sororitas
they arent as numerous as guardsmen yes
Yes and that’s nothing to the guard
It’s not, there’s probably trillions of guard
"We cant make power armor for a regiment but we can make it for these elite women who got about as much of a high casualty rate"
They do have some regiments with power armor
It’s not common but there’s a few
But the sisters get way way high priority and gear
Yeah im just saying its not suppose to make sense. Its just aesthetics before any proper explanation.
You can just say "its expensive" to about anything.
yet there never a power-armor shortages for sisters anywhere

Sororitas getting power armour is very much just the Ministorum supporting their own troops and not the IG
And not every Sororitas conclave have PA

Its more speaking to the power the Sororitas and Ministorum has
Billions of power armor is arguably still an acceptable cost compared to issuing trillions apparently
Most chapters can barely field a few squads of it if that, some don’t have any or barely any, we’re just generally seeing the ones who do cause that’s more fun generally
Again.
We are told this.
Yet its the complete opposite.
I understand theres an "explanation" but its still wildly inconsistent.
it doesnt matter
A Chapter's terminator supply exists on the whim of "Hey we need some Terminators for this plotline give them a dozen."
I mean it does, it holds up fine in universe, I don’t know what’s complicated about how some chapters are way “weathlier” and some have almost nothing
There's nothing complicated
some of them have a piece of the emperor's armor that was melted down iirc
im just saying its inconsistent, so people trying to explain it away is a bit funny lmao
Old old ones do
They mention in Pandorax all Grey Knight ones do, but they have the Deathwing with them and only the oldest suits among the terminators there have it
He has to search a bit to find an old enough suit
It was basically a thing they did for the first generation of Indomitus terminators made after the heresy
what part of the suit is it anyway?
how fucking big was the empror's armor?
They used very small pieces and it’s not like it made that many suits
Like I said it was the earliest suits which had it
It’s rare for them to still
ok so its not the whole shoulder then
Nah just a piece in it
ok more reasonable than i expected
with GW you never know how crazy the numbers will get
I mean it's just the trope of how the Church is a bunch of power-hungry blood suckers who can get anything they want becuase "God said this is mine now". Like the stupid massive trump tower churches they have, like a gold ingot surround by literal shit. That's just my 2 cents on the why the sisters get so much better equipment than the guard, I litterally know almost nothing deeper than the surface level stuff for the sisters.
Its one of the reasons but the fact that they got billions to arguably even higher number of power armor for every sister is still very funny since some Sister Ordos outnumber actual guard regiments
the Major Orders especially
Doesn’t help that mechanicus are often petty assholes
I.T moment
truly a silly universe with numbers made of whimsy
Mechanicus revoking the guard’s power armor privileges because they never think to turn it off and on again before calling
again only Imperial Armor covers this stuff and its great
on the Taros campaign the guard lose their water/food barges
and just
the entire invasion falls apart
and they evacuate the planet lmao
Half of the universe can afford power armor but if it's termie armor it's too expensive
Inconceivably bad logistics in the empire? No way.
Tbh it’s a miracle their logistics work as good as they do
It’s hard enough for us to do logistics on one fucking planet
It works through plot armor
They're incredibly wasteful, but it helps that they just have a fuck load of shit to waste
Also yeah this
Now add in time warp bullshit, inconsistent travel time, inconsistent messaging, incalculable bigger size
wasting resources is easy when you got them in abundance
the Imperium "realistically" speaking would have collapsed in like
a single millennia
with everyone going warlord
but that aint happening yet
okay well its happening on ONE part
cue Rift
It probably helps that the religion is severely authoritarian and ingrained in everyone
And then inquisitors assassinate anyone uppity
Also it seems like everything runs on unspecified fuel sources, that are also inexhaustible.
Which speaks to how competent the administratum is in universe
I mean yeah, shit runs still, it’s run for 10,000 years
Yes which means they’re competent in universe
Rupert Gillman is the best primarch to awaken first just because his super power is logistics
We see what fuck ups lead to for them we see mostly that they don’t do those
Kinda
the setting being galaxy-wide helps with this
they do as many fuck ups as good-ups
The logistics of something the size of the imperium with the warp travel quirks and communication quirks are insane
I mean based off how well it tends to run they mostly just work fine
Yeah because plot
that doesnt mean its competent
its just "well it works because the writer said so"
And like... most book examples of the Administratum only show how bad it is lol
I mean that’s how it works, they’re written that they mostly don’t fuck up so they don’t
But
If you start to realistically analyze the logistics and how the Imperium functions, you just keep running into massive issue after massive issue
They are written so that they mostly fuck up

Also this
again, its just plot
its not that deep
anyone saying the administratum works when the lore says it doesnt work is kinda nuts.
We’re not gonna get a book on an admin person just doing their job fine
Just like we don’t get books on a boring mission where nothing goes wrong mostly
The watcher in the rain made it very clear that it only takes like one person to just starve a regiment
Yeah but the lore also majorily focuses on them being bad at their job.
Some guys doing good work doesnt negate 80% of the bad shit they do logistics-wise.
The administratum is not competent.
The lore focuses on how hard their job is
I heard the Star Wars Andor series was pretty good and I think that's what it's all about. There's a throw-away line in darktide character creation about a scribe or w/e killing a coworker to get a desk closer to the sci-fi AC/heater unit.
I'd be interested in a 40k grimdark version of The Office lol
Most do the snippets of we get it’s just miserable
Guilliman had to make an entire division just so the Battlefleets could function
its still aint perfect
ADB Moment
Oh so now we care what Gav Thorpe writes smh
both of them sick of it
I mean
okay i was gonna say
"when its not eldar"
but then I remembered his Dark Angels books

FallenFallenFallenFallenFallenFallen
FallenFallenFallenFallenFallenFallen
FallenFallenFallenFallenFallenFallen
FallenFallenFallenFallenFallenFallen
I have avoided reading anything he writes as much as I can
Now he’s gonna ruin Votann
Superhero leader of bioengineered supersoldiers and his power is... thinking before talking
He has written some "ok" dwarf books in WHF but like
yeah im not holding my breath
💀
Gav is about to subject the dwarfs to his cycle
LMAO
in some shape and form most primarchs would make an admin division to make things efficient,
bobby is just the best
also before it gets buried
Andor is fucking AMAZING
nah
absolutely recommend it
you aint making me watch disney
i aint giving disney no time for piracy
BRUH MOMENT
I don’t have time to watch stuff I wanna watch most of the time
since 2020 i mean
it was Avatar 2
solely because that was on my birthday
and I love swimming
anything disney can go eat corn the long way
the cycle of
"Okay time to start watching this later today!"
Doesnt
Wakes up next day
"Aw man"
thats why i have two monitors
💀
I just had to sit down and binge all of Fallout
So series can watch me when I'm distracted with anything I can think of at the moment
because I watched 2-3 episodes a night
I binged all of fallout because it was good
I related to the snake oil salesman a lot
especially the part where hes gonna blow his brains out before he sees another human being

Ah another chicken fucker in the wild
CLOACA
fallout lore doesn't make sense because it wasn't supposed to be viewed on the global level until the last instalments
plus bethesda just not being a good source of reliable lore
Nah I aint gonna complain about it.
We’re lucky they were quick to make a new season
interplay and obsidian cared about lore. guess that's why season 1 takes place there
like i really have no idea how the show would have worked on east coast
because the one game with good lore has some of the best written material in the entire genre
i'm not saying everything else is shit. it's just shit by comparison
waste energy on what
Being a miser about it
i didn't say i wasn't ok with it. when i found tim cain's channel i changed my mind about a lot of that stuff
if the creator of the good lore is ok with the new stuff then why care
as he says it's easier to tear something down than to make something new
guess i'd still be stuck in that mentality
You probably still are
what makes you say that
Tbh as far as I’ve seen too the tv show seems to be fine with pre established lore
It’s just people don’t like what happened
But people extrapolate a lot too
Like the NCR ain’t destroyed it’s just smaller now
they could have done a really bad job with the material. as far as i'm concerned it's all okay
fallout lore is only good when bethesda isn't in charge of it so i can only see it improving from here
What if Tim Cain said Bethesda did a good job
it's pretty cute actually how tod howard invites tim cain to everything that involves fallout
There’s plenty of fine lore Bethesda did and does
Impossible
Idk where this “Bethesda bad” take always comes from
It’s not like NV is perfect either
I like it more but the Bethesda stuff is fine too
76 is the only really messy one I think
the thing i dont like with bethesda's take on the lore is it's repetitive
And that was largely to do with what it wanted to be
Human History kinda is repetitive
it's formulaic because bethesda is more interested in the product. that's how i see it
Well making a good actual game is important
Something Obsidian always had issues with
And no the time table wasn’t the only issue
Obsidian games always had these issues
Obsidian was also handed a complete engine and a shitton of assets premade to make NV with
Nearly all films and stories are formulaic
Its
As if
We have a multiple schools of literary thought
About it
A journey of sorts
Some kind of one a hero could take even
NV was still done on a very tight deadline
also like, Bethesda still sucks
Fallout fans when people who enjoy fallout wanna see stuff they enjoy again
New Vegas fans when they realise they dont have to adhere to what a company says to have fun but shit on a good show because Muh Shady Sans
It’s not like Obsidian didn’t reuse all the factions again too
Shady Sans
AAA-
Urrr urr urrr r
my cat decided to sit on my facial area
I don’t think most of them even played the game
I think they did
new vegas lore always felt a lot more personal to me. i can sense the respect given to the factions in the setting and i think that's why people like it a lot
Only one of those and forever too
Brother i have fallen and cant get up!
yeah
not to mention the DLC's are stellar too
the OG fallout games go from like "Okay/Good/Perfect"
Jfc if I have to hear the “wide as an ocean deep as a puddle” line from some fucking npc online again jfc
fallout 3's story was boring imo
3 was good, the engine just sucked lmao
i didn't care for any of the factions
I didn’t mind Fallout 4’s story
It shouldve been more, but that engine can only do so much
far harbor was good yeah
Nuka World was a lot of fun
4 was the best Video Game of all
It felt good doing stuff in the Game
fallout as a setting just doesnt work for me, a world with no microchips and yet they have full AI
i actually enjoy vanilla new vegas
If you break a potato chip
That’s what breaks it for you?
Its a micro potato chip
i really hate all the combat mechanics in fallout 4 except power armor
power armor is done correctly in 4
Combat mechanics
nah just one of many of the silly things that do
Its pull trigger shoot gun
Well yeah it’s inherently a silly world l
Swing sword kill someone
Like the whole merge of everything is somehow a secret government project and also a normal product
the gun customization is the thing i dislike the most in 4
Nuka World was developing the most advanced power armor ever made
the silliness of it takes away from the post-apoc setting for me
there was always silliness in fallout
Tbh I jsut
that's like your opinion man
What if Disney had the top 10 percentage of scientists in the world
Everything gameplay wise form NV sucks compared to 4 imo
i disagree
ngl any gun customization in any fallout game is still way way better than starfield's
Gunplay, the stupid degrading system
Yeah theres prostitution in new vegas
I love NV but fuck me does it need to be modded to hell to be fun
i hate skill points in 4
Wheres my bostonian prostitutes
Those are called boner killers
like how the fuck did Bethesda manage to take so many steps back with that game?
Tight deadline
“Ay yah wanna fawk or whaaa?”
Todd Howard
i feel like everybody forgot starfield already
I didn't
Starfield sucks
I don’t think it had a clear vision tbh
Starfield's story and lore is so bad it physically pains me
i will never forgive Bethesda for it
As much as they talk about it being their dream game
Starfield is the shittiest bethesda game
I don’t think they knew what they wanted to do with it
and it could have been good
why?
which is the part i hate
No it wouldnt
Starfield really was awful
the funniest thing about starfield is the amount of people who thought its engine was impressive
As long as that game engine is used youre never gonna get the most out of the lore
It's impressive that it still works
Starfield is one of the first times I’ve played a game and physically felt that it had no soul
it doesnt
Most important dialogue in the game, and its just two or three people standing autistically still
I genuinely had 0 fun playing Starfield at any point somehow
Damn you Todd!
It looked so good!
same thing for me but for fallout 4. no shade for people who enjoyed it i just really didn't
New Vegas and 3 at least had characters gesticulating
i don't even care about that tbh
Starfield didnt NEED characters to stand still like its a child first time acting in a play
Are you telling me staring directly at the speaker and direct eye contact with 0 blinking while standing still isn't how people have conversations
the lore, as its written, is just godawful and uninteresting
Tbh at the end of the day for me a game has to be fun
Which is why I hate walking simulators
i need immersion
Starfield was only fun cause space ship and customization and delivery jobs
that's interesting
did you play tactics
Morrowind-oblivion-Skyrim was also a great run
Loveeeeeeeee tactics
One of my faves as a kid in 2003 on dads laptop
tactics is a weird one because it does not feel like fallout
I used to play outside and pretend I was a brotherhood paladin fighting raiders
Good times
Fallout 4 more fallout than Fallout Tactics
Then fallout 3 came out and I haven’t left my room since
the problem with TES is that i don't know anymore
when I enjoyed them I was way younger
so i can't say if they're good for sure
yes i was in the chess club
well I really enjoyed star wars back then but now i can't stand it
remember when star wars was the thing your boomer dad would quote sometimes
No
fun convo
LMAO
my dad has a bin full of 2001 Halo CE figures and vehicles back when the game was first released. Their boxes have still not been opened to this day.
that's cool af
the brain rot has started to infect me, i read dad as daddy just now, its been great yall but i think im not long for this world
you think that's bad
i passed a car with a funny custom license plate
supposed to be funny
it said "braaap"
see, because that's the sound a car makes
THAT IS NOT WHAT I THOUGHT IT MEANT
its over for us
Imagine having a dad
sorry
i just had an epiphany
Computer games in the 41st Millenium?
i imagine it's just "Xenoslayer" and it's a DOOM clone for Imperial Computers.
with this crazy mechanicum trick your own taxidermied skull can run doom!
Battlemace 40,000,000
is this canon?
There's a joke in this description
No there aint i lied , April fool's
I like goombas
Why was Sabbat Beati wearing small imperator armour? Instead of SOB/inquisitorial/SOS style armour
burn
My favorite part of this animation is not being able to tell what the fuck is going on from all that shaky cam.

That’s 80% of 40k. We don’t know what the fuck is going on.
It's a heretic's lost footage movie
They were filming the next Blair Witch Project
Actually a found footage movie based in 40k could be cool
Snyder cut/j
aughhh
i wish all space marines had heavy bolters
also i only now realized that intercessors have grenade launchers
i think that's pretty badass
i am severely handicapped by anxiety
I think watching a space marine go ham on a Star Wars CIS battle droid army would be really fun
One of them big tank lasers would probably kill them but CIS droids are idiots so it’d be fun watching a super fast thinking marine outsmart them every time
I liked the droids, I wish there were more CIS styled droids in Star Wars
PC has been returned
We are so back
Birthday boy
i wonder, how long do ogryns live? longer than humans?
I don't think they live noteworthilly longer or shorter than most human
apparently they live half as long as the average human?
Considering that their biology is basically just large humans
i could be wrong tho
ngl i doubt the average human in the imperium lives to be over 80
I don't think it's mentioned they have a different lifespan
They live as long as the story demands to
lack of safety regs and poor medical treatment for the common people means most will die fairly young
Average human don't live to 80 now and it's supposed to be a grimdark parody
so 40 you think?
I would say someone around 50s as pretty old
In the imperium considering that rejuvenation treatments also exist
40 is a decent guess with constant wars and lack of treatment in early age
Yeah i'd say about 40 is decent
ngl biologically only living to 40 is kinda natural
we are in our prime during our 20s
and it all goes south in the mid 30s
people with gigantism tend to die really young unfortunately due to bodily failures since the human body is not adapted to support that kind of physiology, Andre the Giant is one example
In the case of ogryns though they're a sub-species of human where gigantism has become embedded in their genetic code
so they very much would live about as long as a normal human i think
Yeah with proper needs required i do wager they live as long as a human
Yeee, because they are just humans at the end of teh day
people forget this a lot lol
they are literally just oversized caveman yeah
its funny that making someone into a space marine is literally just artificially giving them giantism
the gene seed being implanted so early on means it will fuck with all their hormonal development
so the older art of space marines being deformed freaks is way way more accurate
+there might be more than 1 Ogryn sub group. Like the Torukh and the Grey Ogryns
Do you have the money for personality\background change?
Probably
I almost have the chest piece I wanted
Yeah but not everyone is skilled enough to you know live there
i'm saying in the eyes of normal casual player
When will they come out with warhammer 41k?
Technically already in it since M.42
am i wrong for wanting a darktide with only the elite of the imperium
like space marines and shit
based
No its just harder to do obviously.
Its not tbh
just keep most enemies as humans, sprinkle in some more paranormal shit
make elites CSM
Orks
and thats kind of it
Also work tbh
You need more mass
Mass of your mum
Jokes aside though yeah it really wouldnt be that different
you'd basically be playing ogryns + veteran
knowing if FS made this it'd probably be Deathwatch for banter reasons
One way you could do it
Is if you made it third person
And made the enemy tyranids.
Hold on...
Maybe with Tsons making an appearence.

though yeah SM i feel like fit arcadey shit like that more
as much as id like a SM tidegame its kinda whatever
AoS tide
thats prob gonna happen at some point if Vermintide 3 ever happens lol
AoS deffo needs a good videogame
Everyone but Baradin has an easy way back
Alas
well "easy"
knowing FS they might try a new cast admittedly
I unrionically want them to come up with some bullshit reason the UB5 get teleported to AoS
Also this
like
its not that out of the question
old WHF characters appear in AOS all the time because "plot"
Realms of Ruin Kekw
Or at least Bardin
Bardin getting the Gotrek treatment
aka all the PTSD because all his friends are dead

Bruh i dont know if i could handle half-senile Kruber
Bardin constantly reminding him of the Old World and hes just
"I dont even know who you are"

there's many options
Facist elves, wood elves, water elves, elves
sorry light elves not facist elves
you could make the class excuse to branch out with "Kerillian's soul got rescued when Slaanesh got disemboweled and she went to [faction here]"
*Methlords
I do agreed they'll probably want a new cast as much as I'd like if they didn't.
Kinda hope its Greentide.
Yeah we'll see
the fate of Fatshark games is making awesome titles then management fucking it up as it gets fixed over the course of 2-3 years lol
im just glad it has a good piece of shit but adamant audience like For Honor and whatnot that always sticks with the game like a toxic relationship

Idk if I even ever liked playing For Honor but it looks so cool.
Has such a neat idea.
It’s a fucked up fighting game
On the scale of fucked up its like
Mid tier though
"It looks so cool"
"has such a neat idea"
exactly why it has lasted 8 FUCKING YEARS SOMEHOW
Basically lol
its deffo not in its prime but like the fact that its still going is amazing lol
the only memory i have of the deathwatch mobile game was the space wolf shit talking the dark angels because he was happy none of them where in the squad
I'll say, Ubisoft at least used to do extremely unique MPs in their games.
Assassins Creed was really cool too.
I don’t think for honor has any touch of deaths anymore lol
R6 doesn't really have competition for what it does either.
it went from like, serious shooter to E-sports so
$$$
Just make them shoot terrorists jfc.
"Hey guys we killed all the chaos marines off-screen"
Bloodbowl
Lol
my squad was quite the mix lol, 2 ultramarine tacticals a space wolf lone wolf and a blood angel devastator and a sanguinary priest
Literally what
I love how
Its lore
the character who orchestrated that
got fucking massacred in his office
its like they knew
LMAO
Welcome to the Tournament of Champions. How will you be remembered?

yeah like ill admit this cinematic is cool?
but like
id remove the arena aspect like what the fuck
Very high effort and well done but jfc
just make it a training exercise
Yeah
it literally would work
How does it even work? They don't have that big a team.
Honestly beats me, its so fucking dumb
all that for a generic Good Guys vs Mercs plot
which also went nowhere
lmao
Ah yes
Are there terrorists again
the only good cinematic with ACTUAL PLOT
I think theres like one dude

But yeah
No fuckin way
Idk whats so hard about just "they shoot terrorists in the face"
Like jfc theres five billion Tom Clancy novels with every single type of bad guy you can think of
And all the wackiest plots
also like, i understand terrorists get boring but you can make your opposition interesting by giving them some original goals lmao
Okay but shooting literal terrorists is fun
Oh yeah 100%
Or make the EVIL elite dudes
honestly you know its bad
when the terrorist in Counter Strike factions are cooler than what you got in R6 now
lol
the Masks literally get an entire mission to themselves when the game launched
where they launch a chemical attack on a fucking university campus
and that goes nowhere, my bad lol
I remember playing it
honestly legit still horrifying
I want Angela Basset doing her almost crying voice back
same
Or uh the "WHAT OTHA ERRANDS DO YOU HAVE US
RUNNIN FOR THE DA?!" lady
that girl stepping out the campus all happy go lucky to see the hazmat guys poisoning everyone still scares me
its the fact that its done so seriously that hits it i think
It’s always sunny comparison CCH Pounder and Dennis Reynolds
#itsalwayssunny #dennisreynolds #dennis #cchpounder #iasip #charileday #goldengod #alwaysunny #dennis #alwayssunny #dee #deereynolds #thegoldengod #robmcelhenney #dannydevito #glennhowerton
its pretty intense
The mission feels claustrophobic as all hell as well
since you can't see shit
Yep
Ok but hear me out Elite
you are on the terrorist's homefield
What if, space zombies.
No no no
oh yeah they did that didn't they
you guys are thinking small
