Eh, for me it’s the fact that back when they were introduced, they looked ready to nuke everything related to Firstborns…and I have a caseload of Firstborns.

Factions were all made in 80s to advertise to teens and young men, but the fanbase is bigger than that so they're adjusting factions to be more marketable to everyone, which means different things for different factions. Nothing inherently wrong with a faction being all one gender like the Sororitas, issue comes from Space Marines being the posters boys, which means they're usually the first thing people see which sends the message to new people that the hobby is for men and women are just an afterthought.

So either fem Space Marines or no more Space Marine poster boys
