Honestly hard to say, she really did cause the end of the world through a butterfly effect
She did
What she did in the past led to the end times
What she’s done in AoS
Is going to lead to slaanesh breaking out
YEP
Thanks
I really do like how she learned basically nothing 💀
Morathi
I see this as an absolute win
Her son doesn’t even like her anymore
"Your bed chamber has seen its fair share of disasters as of late."
💀
It’s funny cause sex
Morathi figuratively and metaphorically fucked the world over
Reee
hehehe
bro imagine having the the bravery to try to seduce the god of death
If we go by their last career being cannon, which they iirc are
Then she would wake in AoS as part of the Sylvaneth i think
She tried to rizz up nagash
I’m not sure how she expected that one to go
That's an offence to sluts world wide
LOL
yeah and nagash hit her with the one two skip a few
Lol
"this chicken is cold"
uses the soul of a dead baby as a club on the cook
I wonder what the hells up with that one city of the free dead
Nagash is prolly trying to enslave/slaughter them
Most of the independent deathrattle skeleton nations are still loyal to nagash
I do think it’s funny how the necroquake ended up spawning so many random undead
And a lot of them are just chill
Yeah it makes sense to a degree because uh
necromancy was a HUGE subcast of shit in WHF
to the point that it can legit get confusing lol
bro imagine fighting the Bonereapers they just pull shit like this out of the ground like it's nothing
oh wait
La cretura
I love how it’s lore is that the bonereapers were inspired
By the skaven lol
Bonestodes
YES lmao
You were inspired by the skaven

The Soulblight vampire models are also perfect for making Drukhari Archons
Yep
Honestly in the Drukhari subreddit nowadays I see more people making Archons from Soulblight vamps than I do the actual Archon model that GW sells

YEET
Like just buy this set and you've got 4 new Drukhari models.
That's two Archons, a Succubus and a Haemonculi right there (with some headswaps)
with a bit of magic brutes be pretty good Mega Nobz
just seeing this model really tells you how beast man got shit on
this guy getting into destruction is still one of the greatest mysteries of all time
Beastmen players literally getting cucked by GW
LOL
I can’t wait for Maliketh/Malerion
To cause the uh
Shadowquake
Ulguquake?
Idfk
Isn't it cause Malekith is a name owned by Marvel or something ?
Yep he came first
I'll take two Shadowshakes to go, with extra edge
Imma bout to malequake right now
GW have been teasing malerion for ages
Really should have been a cross alliance character at the very least
Lucky bastard.
On pat with Sting for edging
yeah at least they should have allowed him to both be beastman and destruction
Like this guy looks way too perfect to not belong in beastmen
My Drukhari arrived
Cue stepping on lego

of all the reactions you can pick

good drukhari rp lol
It's important to stay in character
To create Drukhari, one must understand the Drukhari.
The realisation has just hit me, I will now have to work the GW's flying stands. What have I done.
lmaoooo
Wonder what the Broken Lance OST will be like
I mean if they reuse the model of the Chaos Ogryn, maybe they'll do the same with the music 🤷
If it doesn't get another delay 😈
lmao
considering how little we've seen of the game and the studio advertised wouldnt surprise me lol
I want them phobos armours
Though I'm half expecting multiplayer customization will be kinda like halo with it's rigs
I have a feeling that space marine 2 is going to be a disaster.
I’ll say just pretty visuals but mediocre
The marketing more or less showed nothing lol
Yeah if anything it just shows that it's going to be boring because it's all combat
it's a space marine killing a tyranid over and over again
I want to know everything
Slightly new
What's everything
the sum total of all things
Tbf there is a reviewer i watch that got to play it and he said it was really fun. Im really worried about the store though. I really hope i can recreate my homebrew with like a custom logo and stuff. Something tells me we are going to get a fortnite store. Just like some other warhammer game i like.
I hope that them coming out and saying there is a "season pass" means that we pay for that and nothing else.
I miss the days of being able to unlock everything without having to buy another games worth in the process
Is nothing part of everything ?
I decided to start by describing the exact specifications of every individual grain of sand in the universe.
The nids are just canon to the Ultra Marines constantly trying to take their world.
But I want to fight actual bio-forms that are cool. And it isn't just space marines there is guardsmen.
AAAAH MY BRAIN HURTS

it would take a 1400 word essay to explain everything
Thank you 🙏🏻
I like how most of the church of the god emperor "holy texts" comes from a schitzo dreadnought who was in isolation for thousands of years.

So, what universe is Warhammer 40,000 set in? Ours, of course! After a friend asked just that question, I wrote this; a short guide to how the 21st century turns into the 41st Millennium.
And FINE. 21 minutes. :/

ruins the mood imo. luetin does it a lot more theatrically
Yeah but his videos are way too long at times
I will also watch this later today 👍🏻
You have the time to listen for him good
I'll watch both 🗿
oh shit you have time time

Saved 👌🏻
I got em in order 👍🏻
I'm dead serious about it too
Yeah enjoy
Thank you thank you, after finally getting into Warhammer the past 2 days. I need all knowledge 💯
Literally I feel 15 years late lol
it's not too late to get into warhammer
i will strangle you with a tank round
you cannot accomplish such a task
Have not picked an Army YET
Nor do I have the money to buy the table figures,
....yet lol
Fine how about I just hit you with it
But it will happen as my future hobby
can't clank the tank
leman russ wins
i attach an anti tank Rokkit on the stick
i will at least die with dignity in my LEMAN RUSS
Lmao there aint no dignity in being inside a Leman Russ
there is when you have a leman russ as baller as this one
Fair point
Alright guys, I’m sitting with a patient in the ED at work so I’ve got 4 hours minimum to kill, anyone got a good topic?
E
Disclose patient info pls
Ooh good idea
Just kidding, I enjoy having a job and not going to prison
is there somebody dying beside you
let's talk about how hospitals would work in 40k
the average lifespan for even a low level civilian is like 90 years in the imperium because of tech so does this mean healthcare is a thing
average lifespan has lessened because of the Noctis Aeterna
what's the noctis aeterna
the period of time when the Great Rift first appeared and made the imperium suffer the blackout
life after it, which is after the formation of the great rift, has been worse
hence the Indomitus Crusade
god knows what shit is like on Imperium Nihilus
there was a time where you could legit say living in 40k would be okay for a human
now theres no guarantee lmao
the most "peaceful" world you could get is what
the new Hub Fortress worlds that Guilliman demanded to be made?
How much is a rejuvenat treatment in USD
I love him but his lore isn’t that good
too expensive
you need the honeymoon stitch huh?
I want to be pretty like cain
Nah, I’m just sitting making sure this sleeping person is still breathing
i think your job is cool and you have my respect as an online stranger
It's straightforward destruction stuff so no surprise there
But jesus christ he is so out of place in destruction
i thought that was called the dark imperium era
Being the biggest guy who ate the most stone fits destruction
then again dark imperium is a such a generic name
Yeah it's the design that's out of place
He mainly fills an important role of matching belakor and Nagash
For universal alliance models
A giant centaur thing would fit in with the beast man
Lorwise yeah he is perfect in destruction designwise he is a bit off in that part
Beast man wouldn’t work with him at all tbh, beastmen are like natural appearance of chaos
They don’t wear ordainments and armor because it’s man made
Yeah i guess i'm just sad for the beastmen getting absolutely railed in every direction
You release a giant cool centaur
And it does not go to the beast faction
My god
They got big Ws in the underworld book
Blame old world
Yep that's the good thing at least compared to warhammer fantasy aos treats them a lot better
Thank you, this isn’t my normal job, I was floated to the ED since we have too many staff, and since I’m not ED trained, this is all I can do
But I can more or less be on my phone
Oh and like most ghur books they ball
I should start reading the battle tom e
Old world they tried to make them interesting by making them cringe and edgy
Omg it’s amaizng
I like abhumans more than most of the imperium
Give me more ratling and ogryn books please
Yeah i'm getting my fingers on the newest codexs and battletomes
Considering that they're the best sources of lore for a faction
My favorite part is when a bunch of farmers were eaten by their pumpkins
Or how people try to capture beastmen and then it ends horribly
I’m not gonna get beastmen until next edition
My favorite part of iron jawz lore is that they straight up hammer the iron to their skin with their bare hands
thing with abhumans is there's so much more variety than ogryns and rattlings but we never see them because they arent on tabletop
They forge armor around their body by punching the metal around it
They bunch shit it to shape its great
Also their wahhh energy makes sense
These guys are even more dangerous than a black orc
a book about a semi smart ogryn would be great tho
I mean I’d love to see that too
They can channel it each clan
But I love my little guys, literally and figurative little
Iron jaws basically cause them selves to be stronger as well as their armor to literally become denser
Baggit and clodde
And the paint on their armor changes their armors properties
noted
Allow me to find a quote
The bone splittaz cause nature to fucking go insane
Yeah krule boyz literally use it to change the world around them into a swamp
Bone Splitterz using the energy can devour a monster and gets its power
And iron jawz literally become hulking masses of flesh and iron by abusing and then taking in the energy
I love it
It's such a creative way of showing how destructive The WAAAAAGGGHHH is
I’m waiting for the bone splitterz line refresh
But I currently am working on my krule boyz army
They are still holding up despite their age but yeah
He’s a bone ‘ead who was shot in his implant which causes it to kinda work
A bit of redo would serve them well
“Clodde tracked him with a growl, the tremor irritating the thousand itches and throbs that covered his body. It was like he had rats nibbling every inch of him, gnawing through ropes of sinew. He was reasonably certain that this was what pain felt like.”
Christ thats some writing lol

actually makes me uncomfortable lol
@rose thorn my favorite lore bit explaining what it's like to enter a magical duel against a weirdnob shaman
Yeah it’s really well done
“This one’s nice.’ Clodde peered up at the huge painting of a void war. At least the big lad’s mood had brightened. ‘Whoever done it had a good eye for composition. Notice the interplay of light and shadow, how these lance batteries colour the whole scene in gold and black, evoking both the euphoria and the melancholy what comes from blowing stuff to bits with a massive great gun.”
An ogryn with the ability to be philosophical, but still equally enjoys bashing things to bits is a scary concept
His implant only works some of the time though, so he just gets random bouts of scholarly reflection
He's just like me for real
It’s even funnier because he constantly talks about how stupid he is since it’s drilled into you as a abhuman
“They think we’re all bloody stupid, Clodde. Rats, ogs, afriels, glanders, gromes, stunts, ferals. The humes think we’re as daft as each other. No offence, lad.’
‘None taken, mate. My monumental stupidity is a plainly objective fact.”
Ok what's the name of this series again
I have to read it after reading that
"My monumental stupidity is a plainly objective fact."
Literally me
Second one is called the Wraithbone Phoenix and is the better of the two imo
They’re both recent so I’m hoping for more
“Clodde looked bemused. ‘Ogryns tend to live mercifully free of the burden of long-term memories,’ he said. ‘Our prodigious stupidity enables us to apprehend little beyond the constancy of the moment.”
When you have eight intelligence but 20 wisdom
I wanna play my next rpg character like this one, but I like the idea of doing a simple but kind loyal ogryn
Modeled after bodyguard/brawler
it's really hard to make a dumb strong character not be generic
but there's a lot of room for depth
I think the two og characters in darktide are pretty interesting
Or at least fun
I’m not counting bully
Because he’s perfectly generic, and I’m fine with that
I just like the idea of my character being dishonorably discharged from the military and sent in suicide missions several times to be rid of him but he doesn’t get it so he just keeps coming back
It’s fantasy setting so it’s an Ogre instead, but I’m just stealing from 40K lol
To set them up with the party, he’ll be tasked with escorting them to whatever they have to do since he likely won’t be back, at least for a while, and it’s an order he’ll understand
Aos And warhammer fantasy ogres can be both pretty smart but still pretty much stupid
what rpg book had that custom space marine chatper creator
I’m also going to unceremoniously steal the concept of a bone ‘ead implant to achieve both of these
It’s gonna be a experimental magical device that just pretty much doesn’t work most of the time
you can say he has a piece of magic infused metal hammered into his skull that gives him his intelligence
since it's going to be fantasy
Can’t be worked on extensively or removed without killing him
Usually there’s some level of magical devices artificer style
This is good though
Maybe it can be shrapnel from a battle
Also Clodde constantly talks about his theory of “presence and absence” which all the other characters basically ignore because what do you do when an ogryn says stuff like this
“Presence and absence,’ Clodde said
‘Presence and what?’
‘Knowing how to overcome the presence of an obstacle by exploiting what is absent. It is a principle Baggit has clearly internalised. I ’ave extensive theories, though every time I try and share them with him, he tells me to put a sock in it.”
This and stuff like him trying to rationalize the ogryn fear of small spaces
Love it
oh
I’m really just changing the name and tweaking some things to fit better
If I remember correctly there's an Ogre NPC in the Descent into Avernus adventure module who became a scholar after eating a gnome that was wearing a headband of Intellect.
you mean Lump?
I don't think so
No not from Baldurs Gate 3
i guess they just had similar names
The one from Descent into Avernus is called Little One
yeah both of them have the same headband
and he's like an actual scholar
his must be in pristine condition
Or he just straight up digested the magic and became smart
He was filled with guilt, named himself Little One in honour of the halfling he'd eaten and became a pacifist, dedicating himself to knowledge to atone for his prior actions.
did he eat the artifact with the halfling?
Like it's inside of him
Oh no according to the Wiki he just wore it after eating the Halfling
I must have misremembered him eating it
lump must be based on him then
Descent into Avernus is a Baldurs Gate story and takes place like a couple months before BG3
So probably
Ogryn with 17 int
u mean death guard? they already half dead
As in they protect cemeteries and are generally kinda grim
ain't no cemeterie that space marines would protect. unless its strageticlly advantage or a saints grave. Unless you count the golden throne as a grave, as it kinda is
Space Marines would protect any cemetery the author decides they would
Goals and beliefs vary from chapter to chapter
Authors gotta stay faithful to the lore tho
A Shrine World that is protected by a SM Chapter wouldn't be weird by any margin
you can have them carry around tomb stones as a way to honor the fallen
that's true
Yee that’s what I was thinking!
but like civillian grave yards? Morally they wouldn't. even salamanders I'd imagine
Yes and many space marines honor their traditions of their home worlds by doing something weird, for example the iron hands replace their hands as an honor to their Primarch
Maybe originally created to combat undead they began sticking to cemetery planets and grew their culture around it
or protecting space marine graves, that makes sense
Or enough rich people asked for it
there is no undead in 40k except nurgles rot right?
Chaos use alot of undead mainly nurgle and tzeentch
But the warp it self is souls
well all chaos factions use souls which can appear asspectors and what not right
Wraithkin
Eldar literally use ghosts to power/operate things
Nothing about it goes against lore
Dark Eldar only need souls to rejuvenate themselves
Eldar can call the spirits of their dead if they are compliant to fight with them through wraith constructs.
Or sometimes if the battle is on the craft world than the literal ghosts form
Or just to vibe
Ulgo used to go inside heretic ship. To clear it out. Not remmember job name
So how come both wood elves in Fantasy and Aeldar in 40K talk about Morai-heg? The deity is about the same thing in both universes so is Fantasy just a planet or are* the universes only connected by warp if at all?
The Elven gods are in both setting, but they are separate, just like how the Chaos gods are in both setting but aren't linked
It's weird because other entities like Ku'gath Plaguefather, which is just a greater daemon rather than a deity, is in both settings as well
But maybe same god = same daemons
Same deamon but not linked
The settings used to be linked, but that has since been retconned
Would've been cooler if it stayed that way, even if just by silly Tzeentch or extremely convoluted warp hijinx
Because he's literally the same exact dude in both settings, just doing different things
The deities were first used in Warhammer Fantasy since it was the richer setting of the two, they just carried it over because may as well + lazy. A great chunk of the Elven deities are not in 40k though since they only got like 5 named ones, with the only original one being Cegorach.
For the daemons being re-used thing its simply so demon players dont have to re-buy an entire range to play in either 40k or Fantasy.
And again ironically the special daemon characters got more lore and shit to do in WHF, where in 40k they are very much another lazy copy-paste job.
I like the idea of greater daemons/favorites like Ku'gath being sent or going to crucial places
A shame
Appreciate clearing it up, that's a bummer
Hm, that is true
I figured Fantasy was just in its own corner of the universe, far far away from everything that could reach it even via navigator travel
I saw it mentioned the other day but can't find it looking it up, what is current fantasy lore, AoS and all that? Was end times already recovered from and things are different now?
Cost of having 40k be a SM fest
Fantasy blew up, the world blew up
The current lore is GW fleshing out the past of fantasy
Specifically the age of 3 emperors
Basically Warhammer fantasy ended with the End Time, which later formed AoS
Now GW is making Old World which happen before warhammer fantasy
So Age of Sigmar is during End Times/right after
Ohh gotcha
Oh damn LMAO
Fantasy lore is weird
And also sad, Skaven winning is not Skaven-pilled
Lizardmen only survived cuz they went to space
There was a massive paradigm shift for pretty much everyone else
yeah
and the Skaven survived bcs GHR saved them
And turned skaven blight into its own little
Oh
Yes him
Forget he exists
Good for the lizardmen
Wish the slann didn't get nerfed by writers just so Skaven could win but it's fitting that the best race got to escape 🫡
But AoS has a system more so where
instead of a single planet
there's multiple realms that are a finite space
Everyone got nerfed to have Skaven win stuff
Excluding the realm of chaos
Which is weird
yeah the Endtimes was basically Skaven like
extreme favortism
"finite" in practice, but infinite in theory
Ooo we talking about AOS!!!
Need some good AoS video game
Someday
Most of them are okay or worse
Need a good retcon of End Times to come out already
Scrap everything
they're never gona retcon endtimes
Make AoS still happen somehow
Unless they want to make a timeline split
I mean it's still eons after fantasy
But either way we've got Old World now
Retconning ET would bring what ?
SO
Which is understandable
I'd rather GW keep endtimes but rewite it
Better lore
Since there's a lot of badly written stuff in it
ET fundamentally is fine
tbh
Its the execution that sucks
so hard
End Times is a good concept
Forgetting the Avatar of Mork 💀
they forgor
AoS is basically an apocalypse setting, 90% of humans are in fact chaos
Just like the Dwarfs forgot to close a secret door 💀
And a new one happened with the Necroquake
Skaven knife vs mastercrafted dwarf armor
You got the rat apocalyps, chaos apocalypse, the ork apocalypse, the chaos apocalypse again
Even as someone who barely knows anything about the lore except what I gathered from playing Total Warhammer 3, I just kept seeing things when I was reading End Times stuff that made no sense
I'll be honest, disreguard all lore about ET Skaven and read the rest and it's not bad. The bad things are 90% of the time about Skaven
Never ask a Skaven how he was born, worst mistake of my life
Only part I vaugely liked was where they fucking nuked the black pyramid
Except the part where Queek get killed by strangulation
OH YEAF
Also queek getting strangled went hard
I forgot
Soon Malequake
The Skaven just made it a huge winds of death explosion instead
Only killed like a third
And yeah killed like a third of all life
The fact that they just called it the "necroquake" goes hard
He’s trying to build a necropolis
His words
Idk what the fuck he plans after he builds that
Nagash should have anything he plans ruined
He plan on having a nice breakfast
Steal his orange juice
He plans on taking a walk
Put some pebbles in his shoes
Nagash deserves everything unfortunate that happens to him
Nagash is a simple villain
he just wants to take over the world(s)
its why hes great
hes just a piece of shit

Unashamedly vilainous, doesn't try to explain his villeny like some of the other do
Actually I wonder couldn't Skaven just launch one of their Doomsphere or doomrockets
via Gnawhole
assuming they don't kill themselves with said plan
Gnawholes take forever and are a pain to make tbh
They literally physically have to dig the distance
But they are very effective
Well yeah
It drained one of shyish’s entire oceans
And all the undead in it
So I’m relatively new to the Deep Rock Galactic scene but I’ve heard passing mention that Gw referenced them at some point during the release of Votann? Is this true?
no
I don't think GW even knows DRG exists
Well it’s hard to avoid deep rock ngl. Easy to find people chanting Rock and Stone everywhere.
I mean unless you are into the gaming scene no
Huh, I guess it could have been the other way around. Idk.
Fair
Most people in GW are miniature dudes that don't care about games that much, minis are where their interest begin and end usually.
It would be cool if there was a small lore nod to it though
Ah well
I’ll have to keep digging then
No pun intended
There was a vague reference referring to a group called the Deep Rock Kindred
Which was most likely a refrence
Aside from that the votaan were in development most likely before drg came out
Or around the same time
Well deep rock is 6 years old
Yeah
And it takes GW over 5 years to fully release a mini often times
The leagues of votaan are an entire new range
Trust me I know
From a design perspective they’re pretty visually distinct
Been in it since 4th edition
Beyond just both being dwarves in space
GW is like faster now for concept -> release
But they’re still pretty slow
that and like
DRG doesnt exactly do anything original
so any points that crossover is just because the tropes are so much on the surface
Neat
The leagues as a subversion to the usual dwarf elf relationship like the craftworld eldar lol
okay but like
"rock and stone" has been a saying for awhile even before deep rock
lmao
Has it?
Neat
No in the votaan codex there’s a blurb of a unit of votaan called the deep rock being attacked by nids
Oh it isn’t reply

It didnt*
show pics
I’ll have to fucking pull it up

My bad

To be fair this is the same company that made an entire model line that’s just a predator rip off
lmao true
Is vermintide set in aos or fantasy?
Yeah, alright. Thats what i assumed. Wanted to be sure.
Reason you don't see any response to the big chaos presence is because the entire Reikland army is off in the north dying
Malekith was the true phoenix king all along xd
💀
Lol noice
I don't know how anyone was surprised
Everyone knows a real king will sleep with his own mother
True royalty right there
That's my King
sigmund freud approves
my brain is so rotten from 40k I read that as Sigismund
(I know its an IRL name but still)
Sanguinius during Ullanor
Sigismund Freud be like
“I dont love my father and his anger at me has not affected me at all.”
Nice, I went with Mother of Mercy
@queen laurel y'all didn't tell me sooner there's 5 by Luetin lol.
Now I can learn more 😈
Dam I can't send a ss of the 5 videos saved on my YouTube lol
Tbh I had it as "Elected Representative of Family Values" for a long time but I realized that was an option.
Sadly you can only do Emperor of Humankind
Hammer of Dawn is one thats very appropriate I've seen people do to, considering what the ship does.
I’m not gonna watch it lmao
Finished Cixin Lius Remembrance of Earths Past series and uh
Ill not be watching that netflix show either
Mostly I dont want to be sadge and have the existential dread about it
ATL was perfect as is imo, everything had meaning and was executed well. What little I've heard about the adaptation shows they're gutting some of that
Its Joever for them
But they’re probably gonna post about how well its doing saying shit like millions are watching it, because they put it at the top of their page so itll autoplay or something
So if you have strong enough will do you become immune to diseases in 40k?
Since nurgles rot seems just as mental as it is physical
Typhus once made a plague that is Soundborne
As in it was music that infected
Theres always a way for Nurgle to get you
Corrosives are also in Nurgles domain
Since Iron Warriors lost to Death Guard due to literal rusting
he also made one that targeted an Inquisitor, it infected the world she and a fallen commissar where exiled too but their pride made them immune
so he had to break their pride to get them to succumb
Wait aren't they both traitors?
The traitors kill each other a lot
The imperium does infighting a good bit
But like Chaos is like
as the name implies chaotic
Legions themselves have infighting, Warbands infight, ect.
Ok I probably haven't got to know that much details lol I finished a good 1 hour and 30 minute video on lore. But I got 4 more vids to go 😅
Every faction has infighting
First of all to justify tabletop mirror matches
Chaos has it so much, when they gather forces it's a major event
Marines kill each other for funsies in the same warband
Only unfeasible ones are craftworld vs craftworld or tyranid mirrors
Tyranid mirror aren't unfeasible tbh
Isn't there a hive fleet which specifically specializes in fighting weaker Tyranid hive fleets
Hydra?
I think it was not fighting but collecting possible genetic material from the defeated hive fleets
i heard something about when different fleets make contact, they will fight and through it further evolve, and since its still nids winning in the end no biomass is lost
and in the end you just end up with a combined larger fleet that's improved
but this seems to contradict how like different fleets seem to coordinate
Winner is stronger and thus getting even stronger with the excess biomass math 101
like Leviathan leaving behind undigested planets for kronos to replenish its forces
but maybe its a unique reliationship for kronos
Instances like that are probably because the hive mind needs both specialisations and will keep both in as good as possible state
Beil’tan exists, also so does Lugnath
Beil’tan are violently xenophobic
Lugnath really doesn’t like anyone who vaguely associates with drukhari harlequins excluded
>looks at Beil-Tan's friendslist:
“They’re one of the good ones” - Craftworld Beil’tan
Prolly one of the most inexplicable friendships
Not that I demand realism from the 40k universe, but the biomass thing really irks me. If tyranids consume one hundred 'gants, you can at most create maybe sixty new 'gants from that. So tyranids infighting should actually be hugely wasteful. And I doubt the hive mind learns new tricks by fighting itself that would justify the waste.
It's not purely just raw material that is transferred, but knowledge as well
The other hive has encountered different things and thus consumed different things so it has more information available to it than the other hive alone would
Yeah its not that unfeasible.
Especially since the Tyranids share a collective mindset
Okay but like the thing is they aren't xenophobic to other Eldar. Theres a reason a craftworld attacking another craftworld has basically happened amost never in the lore because even the most strict ones are not hostile to other eldar.
They are definitely the only faction you REALLY need to stretch for an explanation on why they are fighting
Yeah and tau too, because unless it's the Enclaves they won't kill each other
Yeah its mostly due to the fact that they are one of the few factions that will actually try to talk things out first lol
Yes they may have some weird ethereals bossing them about but hey still better than trying to talk to the imperium
Or any faction
Eldars truly are the good guys

Time to post this in a sub reddit and have the post titles this is one of the reasons why the imperium is not a good guy to collect anger for the blood god
Wow just like sisters of battle and the ordo malleus
Very based I know

Very well, i sentence you to live the life of a hiver in the lower levels
I’ll immediately go to a ganger and ask if they were born ugly or a mutant straight up
Time to make a traitor marine from that chapter
With their logic, the entire chapter must be corrupt
The real crime is the color scheme
Dark Angels mostly look fine, that shit though.
It’s very “we featured a dudes hombrew and they will never appear again”
I almost respect the penitent blades dude for being willing to submit that shit
Jfc
Fucking rainbow sherbet chapter
The rest are mostly fine though
They are pretty run of the mill yeah
I like the Wardens and Absolvers schemes
Although like fuck at least draw him with a cowl
I get they have a basic template they use but come on
Draw him with cow
Prime Absolvers logo
BRUH
Azrael should've chopped the CM's head off for suggesting it
I see nothing but peak from those 6 chapters
Azrael probably loved it tbh
Its pronounced “you-na-med”
Can't be bothered with remembering names, all of them are unforgiven
I wish the DA successors had better colour schemes, wanting to do a DA army but none of the chapter colours really hit it for me
Hammer of Benevolence over here
I've watched the first 3 episodes it's not terrible so far, better than the movie and there's changes some good, some bad and some that are kinda worrying.
Yeah, I'll stick to something very close to the original. I just like it best.
nothing is better than Guardians of the covenant, shame there no robe options for marines
not really a fan of metallic colours for marines
or they can look nice but painting them is a bore
how do tau lasguns work
Like Lasguns
Magic
Yes.
Girl crush frfr
so do tau work like guardsmen where they get like hundreds of people with pulse rifles to shoot stuff
I have seen centaurs, driders and snakemen. but being half gargoyle for a lower body is quite something
Yeee soulblights have cool shit, there’s the generic and named version of this vampire
Favorite death faction is definitely Ossiarch Bonereapers and my favorite death model being this the Gothizzar Harvester
That’s a healer model which is the funniest part
Yeah this thing doubles as a Wrecking Ball with a healing station attached to it for some reason
Going back to the soul blight they have the perfect representation of a college student after studying for an exam
damn reading about tau i never thought about how they probably view humanity as humans view the eldar
Tbh vasthoff has too many named characters but they have great models
I have no doubt people lose Prussian vampires
Love*
they have some great character models
All of soulblight really does
this shit would make a banger dark eldar
She’s legion of night right?
Or was it blood
Oh fr
Read the lexicanum page
it gives a pretty good breakdown
they more or less fight very much like modern armies for the most part
yeah im reading it
actually i'm switching to the old one hundred now
because that's really cool lore
weak and female
i find the wording funny
i wonder what the oldest imperial regiment is
H my bad she is an all faction hero
no worries i basically know only destruction lore
i literally know nothing else about all of the other factions
destruction is pretty self explanatory why i like it
i like destroying stuff with as much violence as possible
they also find the perfect blend for my liking of models brutal and also hilarious
blessed gabapalooza completely being a must have in every game its in
its one of teh ebst factions in underworlds, the best allies in warcry, and contains half of the fun in aos
its so gereat
it is like THE gloom spite model
ME
they are pretty cool but my favorite gloom spite model is this absolute unit TRUGG THE TROGGOTH KING
i forgot about him es so cool
also i have never seen a sons of behemoth army tbh
imperial knights basically
you can feel the limited number of them but each one hits like a truck getting propelled by a rocket
and why dont tau try to capture human astropaths
They got no need for astropaths
they just communicate long-range like
you know
normal people
lmao
You should remember that literally every shit the Imperium does is archaic or unnecessarily goofy/grimdark
they are literally smart enough to reverse engineer ork tech
and find uses for it
Bruh moment
I can't actually recall anything beyond Crisis of Faith talking about human psykers (they're used as advisors in psychic/Warp related matters, along with the other psy-sensitive species of the Greater Good). In terms of general policy and dealing with the far more potent/destructive nature of human psykers, though, I don't think much if anything has been written. It's just kinda handwaved, they do study some at blacksites too but thats about it.
A question about the daemonculaba, are the gestation subjects lobotomized or still cognitively active?
Reason for question
Because reality is taking some notes
that's weird
seems like a pretty important aspect of 40k that's just ignored
in beginning to see why some people think tau don't belong in 40k
it's like they have a bunch of special lore conditions that simplify them
People that say that basically got no idea what they are even like as a faction most of the time and it sa pretty bad take ontop of that.
it's a bad take but i get where it's coming from
Its really not that important of a thing so i dont see it myself.
Tau basically got nothing to do with psyker stuff.
so i dont exactly blame the authors for not exploring it lol
the psyker stuff in 40k is like one of the main things that keeps the setting tied to fantasy
that's true
what keeps 40k fantasy is orks, elves, daemons and other stuff
also religious stuff i guess lol
Tbf the magic system of 40k is like
A full blown magic system
Unlike some other settings that try to explain it away
i don't agree. these races are so used in media that they could be anything from fantasy to modern day realism
you could have dwarves just walking around being normal
What other setting has space orks
the magic is what gives it a fantasy element imo
Good question actually
yeah magic has nothing to do with 40k being fantasy
it has so many fantasy elements that isnt just that
Starfinder? Vaguely?

But that’s fantasy in space
orks are so specific to 40k though
Brutes in halo
they act nothing like the fantasy orcs i can think of
That's what makes them fantasy element
Orcs are normally green giants and fantasy with enough force to rip apart someone with bare hands
the whole tech thing and waaag
The reach ones sure as hell aren’t monke
I mean so? They literally act like orks
And they act like archetypical orks
So fantasy orcs are peaceful?
roaming band of barbarians that want to kill/destroy
thats like THE epitome of orks
Literally this
and what tolkien made them as
i thought orcs in fantasy are usually servient creatures to magic people
No???
Not really?
not always
what am i thinking of then
Most of the times it's the World of Warcraft approach
Barbarians that crush anything in their path
Corrupted elves
Twisted into a ugly image by magic to serve the armies of the dark Lord
ah ok
The way orks got made in LOTR is also pretty fucked lol
we're talking the basic green muscular orcs
also yeah that
other fantasy IPs in general very much generalized orks, elves and dwarves
and took more or less bulletpoints from tolkien wholesale
"Uhh warlike species, elegant species, digging species, got it"

just seems wrong to me to define fantasy by these races
like what is chinese fantasy like if there's no elves or orks
Which species is that
Those 3 are like usually around
idk take a guess
With few exceptions
lol
Because humanity fits all of the above
I love the fact that people confuse the basic orc spelling and straight up even refer to none warhammer 40k orcs as Orks
During 40k's birthplace which is Rogue Trader had all 3 of these races along with daemons, 40k was referred to as "fantasy in space" because of it.
Psychic stuff was almost non-existent at this stage
its really not that deep
that's just dilara
suuuure
yes they were riding on the for warhammer fantasy train
You got into warhammer like a week ago
how about you uh you know

i think that's what makes 40k special in a way. it's still space fantasy
space marines are still knights in armour
you're doubting the knowledge of an ork fan on orks?
40k basically has stolen something from every genre, thats what makes it special
its a kitchen sink setting
lol
And it’s a good kitchen sink
Sometimes they clean the plates
Sometimes they leave it to rot
Most people on the internet are pretty chronically dyslexic
Lol
See: every genius who writes "Emporer"
BAHHHAAAAHAHAH
Emparor
Emprah
Also this yeah, 40k adapts because it needs to be relevant to make money.
Necrons are a good example of this
to be fair Ork has that charm that is more easier say and even love compared to Orc
they got revamped 3 times across 3 decades before landing where they are now
I don't know there's just something very fun about changing the C to K
if they didnt they'd have been some random robot race nobody cares about
Its how Orcs are also spelt in Turkish officially
we use "c" as "k" in many works

rare turkish W I think

I thought orcs were spelled sirpca or something
I'm making a joke that you'd equate Serbs to orks
SHUT UP

it's funny how tolken made stuff like elves and dwarves a mainstay in the western world when it's such a localized british thing
They are from european folklore/myth mostly.
mostly celtic no?
Ehhhh kinda but not also no
His inspiration sphere is mostly around europe/england/nordic
Its important to remember he was literally doing this as a fun hobby/creating for the sake of creating
so the stuff he got inspired by is a long list
still it's just something that came from an english language approach
and it's weird how it probably doesn't translate well to languages that are super different from western ones
It translates well enough
^
he also actively argued with british langauge-people for half the shit he was writing too.
him fighting for "dwarves" to be a word is one example
that's what i mean. he redefined english and those aspects are lost in translation
Orks having derogative speaking and being based on the british always fills me with joy
Its not honestly
i read the books in turkish, it all comes across well
what i'm trying to say is it's like reading poetry in a native language vs a translation
You can say that about any literature though.
i think it's very prominent in tolkien's work
If you translate a 40k book into Turkish for example a lot of stuff also can get lost.
especially with so much made up words
GW literally doesn't even bother translating some stuff it's funny
some names are unpronounceable in french and they just leave it as is
Its the trouble i faced making the turkish subs for the darktide trailer lol
I asked one of the devs here and they allowed it
you can only translate so much until the made-up word becomes untranslatable
^
honestly i think it's because GW's doesnt want to spend the time to copyright words in other languages
i have no idea how they even sell their stuff in my province
as long as you keep the word in its original written format you keep its copyright i think
theres no point in translating shit like "Administratum"
our language laws are so strict that KFC the restaurant had to create a french way of saying the name even though it does this literally nowhere else
Guh
it's quite funny seeing large companies forced to give a slight shit
