The Liege is unironically one of the most based people in the game tbh
he's one brave son of a meteorite too
willing to stand up to a rogue trader
Scrappy boy
I wonder why techpriest don't all become cyberpsychos
Skill issue??
the degree of enhancement of flesh loving magos biologis would be insane in cyberpunk
yeah they just accept it
But magos are pretty logical, real cyberpsychos would be khorne berserkers
and also remember they have their brain replaced
a lot of their way of thinking is basically mechanical
Oh yeah cyberpsychos do still have a 100% unaugmented brain don't they
Yeah I'm pretty sure since people in cyberpunk don't do anything outrageous in their brains they just stay as normal packs of flesh
That's a pretty dumb oversight tbh, how can a flesh mind handle a metal body
Either don't do it or go all the way
V has a chip that constantly rewrites their brain so that's one of the reasons why they don't go psychopathic, even though they have enough brute strength to pry open an elevator door with their hands
What about smasher? Is his brain augmented like a tech priest or is he still very much human compared to magos
he's just a nut case
So we can't tell if it's psychosis or just smasher being smasher
a cyberpsycho can still think those that are aggressive killing machines don't but there are those that are just straight up think they're better than humans basically
Well by that description sounds like every tech priest ever
Most of the time it's just a sense of losing their identity as a person
basically just stop seeing themselves as humans most of the time
no regard for preserving themselves
Cyberpunk is basically a primitive version of 40k enhancements
Not all cyberpsychos are physically violent. Some have fragmented personalities, some are kleptomaniacs, others are compulsive liars. But violence towards living things, especially people, is most common - wiki
Now that sounds like iron hands Astartes
it really depends on the individuals
Which is one of the dumbest plot points 💀
Smasher is a Psycho but he's the type that just thinks people are nothing more than lower than him
I think smasher would be considered very polite, charismatic and sociable in the mechanicus
The main attribute of being a cyber psycho is having your identity as a person lost to you
you basically just see yourself as a better machine
So iron hands
i guess
But seriously are there tech priests that did go insane because of too much augmentation
Cawl has less than a pound of flesh on him and is taller than GUILLIMAN but he's still sane. Relatively
they add augmentations to their brain it probably helps to get rid of this strain and they know what they are doing and a lot of them accept it, the point that a lot of them are basically motionless machines
they are quite literally willing to let go of their humanity to become the blessed machine
basically since they accepted it and cope well with it enough it doesn't happen with them
So cyberpsychosis is a conflict between the humanity and machine within the body. But a magos already got rid of their humanity
some admechs hold some of their humanity but they willingly accepted the process of becoming machines so they don't struggle with using their identity as people
Like yeah, if they say: Flesh is weak
they only cling to some aspects of their humanity but a good chunk of it is practically gone
there is not much sense to hold for their humanity
even the ones that are considered pretty human by people are quite robotic
imitating emotions and gestures to comfort other people for interactions
Honestly I'd argue flesh is better cause it takes me 50 years of smoking to get lung cancer but 5 years of running and my pc breaks dowb
Maybe because our tech is still caveman level
Because people in Cyberpunk are dorks
Don`t say it in presence of any Mechanicus coper
And also Cyberpsychosis isn't really just getting a ton of chrome.
Bro really said skill issue
The game it becomes clear the issue was more other factors.
With the TV show, none of those dudes were ever stable really.
Techpriest are psycho conditioned into accepting their gifts they are basically trained into accepting that machine is good for the body so no matter how many things they attach to themselves they are basically just OK with it and again their brain is augmented
Their lives started falling apart before then.
I mean 40k environment and society is X10 times worse than night city
you're talking about the mechanicus which are basically trained to the point that they are told you can just abandon emotions
saying that becoming a calculating cold machine is a good thing
so they don't really have a humanity to get attached too, unlike a person in cyberpunk
Sounds like the sense of humanity is just a barrier to getting better augments
We see plenty of augmented dudes who still have personalities too tbh
Its more a choice to shut that off.
Cawl is very very personable still.
As are Necrons
Well necron tech is not really on the same level
Despite memes Iron Hands have a lot of personality too often.
Forges of Mars shows us a bunch of different Magos who all vary a lot.
yeah some tech priest have either controlled their emotion or some kind of emotional regulator
Like I said cyberpsychosis in Cyberpunk seems to be more a term just used for people who go nuts that have augs since they can do so much damage, its often more tied to other things.
All of the cyberpsychos you run into during the game had other reasons often unrelated to their augs they went "nuts"
Their augs just made them dangerous when they did.
The one special forces guy with the Sandevistan is a good example
Yeah basically they're just psychopaths that went insane but the cybernetics don't help
Gang killed his daughter so he went on a huge killer spree
But I think the cybernetics basically add extra strain to the person
Pretty sure with cyberpsychosis getting implants and replacements itself wasn’t the issue it was originally a metaphor for the capitalist exploitation and how to better yourself you are forced to sell part of your body/soul to corporations.
Because early Cyberpunk was very anti capitalist but overtime it was toned down and made more marketable.
Not really sure what cyberpunk you're playing if you think its toned down.
This is the main reason yeah.
in-universe its pretty much mostly covered up so people keep buying chrome
its pretty fucked up and realistic on that front lol
Techpriests generally dont have body-dysmorphia or any psychotic tendencies from bionics because they treat it as a religion compared to cyberpunk where cybernetics are seen as appliances or ways to further yourself from other people and be better.
Well, that’s a sacrifice our corporate overlords are willing to make
Ah yes
yeah this is Basically what I said, they are literally psycho conditioned into worshipping machines that becoming a machine is basically a walk in the park for them
Those shitty goggles
Generally we see people in Cyberpunk have other issues besides the augmetics when they go nuts, the augmetics often don't help but the point in a lot of the media is cyberpsychosis is just a slapped on term and excuse for anytime shit goes wrong.
They don't get attached to the human fleshy bits because they view it as weak
Also this yeah
"Its not our products thats wrong its the people."
The show also shows this, the dudes who go nuts had some other issues going on while they were.
Said by the corporation that removes the organs of babies and replaces it with a grenade
Indeed
You can say that but it has literally been toned down, to the point multiple articles have been written about it and how it’s messaging has been reduced to an aesthetic rather than an actual political critique
Yeah David's reason for going cyberpsycho was generally due to all the trauma he accumulated over his child/teenhood.
The worst part of the story is suppose to be that he could have stopped at ANY moment.
But he didn't.
People can write articles about anything.
Some shows and media push the message harder but I haven't seen an issue with the game or media.
The game is very true to the orginal product Pondsmith wrote.
Pondsmith also literally oversaw the entire thing
Its an addiction
he even cameos as a conspiracy radio host in the game
You can do cyberpunk as an aesthetic if you want and some people just want that and its fine.
You can also do it with more of a message.
Its not complicated.
And he's the dude that betrays you
Cyberpunk is technology dependence in the hands of capitalism
Take the capitalism out
Its not cyberpunk
Yeah in the world of cyberpunk you HAVE to be even slightly cybernetically equipped even for menial jobs, its whats dystopian about it. Even a job that has you hauling crates requires you to have some chrome
Poor guy was too short sighted to see that coming
losing his mother and comrades and then you add the fact that he entered a highly experimental suit that can crush a tank with gravity added the strain of his mind even further, the build up was even more potent becaus him using the high military grade gear
Its just dudes with robodicks
Robocop is Cyberpunk because a corporation is at the root of it
In a world full of chooms, at least we have Adam Smasher to always be based.
Adam Jensen my hero
RIP
Adam Smasher is the Iron Hand
Adam Jensen and Adam Smasher taught me one thing
I really wish they could do him more justice in the game.
You stay in detroit and you get blown up
But he does at least have some moments.
And become a cyborg
he did get some updates
He's much better
So that's that at least
also yeah game version is not bad but like
in the lore Adam is literally a space marine
lmao
Being taken to Detroit is a fate worse than death.
Movie:
“Kentucky Fried Movie” (1977)
Literally Smasher and Jensens lore
Being taken to Detroit is a fate worse than death.
Movie:
“Kentucky Fried Movie” (1977)
I will eternally reward you with an ass beating using an iron bar if you don't shut your mouth
I like when people talk about Lore Accurate V and Lore Accurate Smasher
Lore Accurate V dies literally when they got shot

Its gameplay stuff
In lore V would be able to do much more than we do in game.
Yeah realistically speaking the grade of their gear shouldn't be even able to keep up with smasher right
Yeah its called Ludo Narrative dissonance
Smasher is kitted out crazy, Max Tac is just as crazy
But yeah once you get stuff like Sandevistans and the goofy stuff Smasher can do, V is much farther beyond what we see in game mostly.
Smasher has the best stuff that one of the highest quality Supercorps in the game can give him.
the guy is loaded with enough weaponry to level a city block and then some
That’s one thing I kinda wish, Cyberpunk 2077 kinda talks about is
What actual soldiers use for chrome
We see it as glimpses but what usual solos and stuff use is relatively a step or two down
Exceptions being Smasher and maybe Blackhand
Who the fuck knows what Morgan Blackhand could do
Or even a Takemura at full war could do either
Morgan has minimal stuff mostly, but he definitely has a Sandevistan
His thing was more built around extreme preparation
And just skill.
Smasher is more uh
Blunt
Regardless, two types of solos you dont want to be at the wrong end of
God I wish DeusEx didnt get canned
I'm sure it'll be bought by someone and we'll get a new one years from now
Awhoops
But yeah, it does make me sad
Jensen’s story was pretty cool, and the games were actually nice to play
Not to mention just the whole aesthetics of it
Yeah I loved it, it wasn't perfect but it was a very fun take on the genre and Deus Ex
No one is cooler than Jensen either, a walking armory of a cyborg
Especially if you know the later deus ex games.
Well "later"
Since the Jensen stuff were prequels technically
I did like it, as much as later Dues Ex with nanites and shit was cool it is more aesthetically interesting to having all these crazy augmetics and stuff.
The augmentation in the Jensen series were great yeah.
Medically accurate (in the case superficial muscles)
I loved how the arm augments are connected to the backs and chest
Kinda like Jetstream Sam, his arm augments need to be anchored to his pecs and some of his shoulder muscles
Do not ever doubt how much tactical detailing goes into Metal Gear games.
Even back in the PS1 era Yoji Shinkawa was cooking mad shit with all these military details/designs.

Now if only we could get him to stop writing the shit
Its an artistic accuracy kinda thing.
Its not impossible that the artist was an oldhead artist who studied human musculatures via the grim way
Well, a lot of sculptors and some artist need to learn ecroche
Some learned it via going to hospitals and looking at cadavers
I’m just joking I get that you can have some levels of accuracy or have it rooted in some form of legitimacy without being a complete slave to it
The extra push for accuracy does make for stylishness tho
Me looking at myself in the mirror
Real
Basically this yeah
MGS is cool because it has a believably realistic sci-fi military feel
You can get away by studying how functional shit works and just following the same beats
Thinking about Starfield Guns
The game is somehow more mid than fallout 4, like how the hell did they do that
In fairness Bethesda has rarely had good designs
Oh I fucking hate Starfield
Thinking about Starfield at all
To call it mid is a compliment
It is probably no doubt the worst bethesda game ever released
(I loved Fallout 4, a lot, but starfied is utter garbage)
Fallout 4 has the bones of a decent game
Nothing they can do to fix it or add to improve it will make me change my mind.
But then you get to the world and it just sucks
Power armor is one of the best feelings of making you feel like you're in a walking tank
It definitely has flaws though
Fallout 4 shouldnt have been a fallout game, but i think cause it being fallout and fallout aesthetics, its good enough
definitely earned the title of best power armor feel and look out of all fallout 3d games
The feeling of being a walking tank as you bulldoze through everything in front of you is amazing
Its also, in my opinion, an INCREDIBLY beautiful game
I think the quest that like
Showcases the game's issues the most
Is the BoS quest with the recon team
Nuka world was the shit
Starfield’s only positives for me was flying my ship, being a space taxi, and space trucker
Literally everything else SUCKED
Why make two types of weapons
And not add real inertia
Like i legit thought laser weapons should be used in zero G so you dont propel yourself
At the very least you should be using the boost from your jump pack to counteract it
But nope
That said I was expecting too much
Depend, where are you ?
Could be that they are crawling to you if you live near enough
I looked it up and it would apparently only take 3 days to walk it to me
So he must be walking backwards on his hands
I know, it’s saying it will be 11 days after it’s released
that doesn't sound right
because I've gotten international orders in half the time from that
Isn't it saying "Delivered in 11 working days" ?
Also now we have a circle of where you live
I’ve said before, Northern Ireland
that's how I interpret it, it will be at your location in 11 working days
GW hates shipping here now
Hopefully, email is from 7 days ago so if that’s the case it’ll be delivered on the 19th which is more reasonable
11 days after release after you pre-ordered?
But I worry it will be 11 days after it’s dispatch
That's way to scuffed
Does it give an arrival date ?
Nope
they aim to have them shipped by the date it will be delivered by the time the actual release date is, usually it does go over until the next week instead of the Saturday it is released
that was a poor sentence, trying to think five different things at the same time 😄
I just want my darling husband
he is very desirable yes
i think thats including the 7 days until it's actually released
Dystopian as hell
looks like 11 days is alwaays their standard guarantee actually
normally they arrive on release day for me but im GB mainland
so a few extra ddays to get to NI makes sense
wait, is Delivery to any Warhammer Stores anywhere in the world, always been free?
ah well, buying from my FLGS has always been cheaper
I usually buy from a 3rd party store but I had a voucher for the GW store I needed to use, with my usual place when I preorder anything it always arrives the same day it releases.
And yea delivery to the store is really handy
I’d probably use it more if I didn’t have to take the bus to get to my WH store
wow its like these specials were never made with player control in mind like L4D
and as if versus is an awful idea and a waste of resources

obviously just me though
I'd wait until its actually out lol
then see all the complaints
Im sure globe spams will be fun
i can't wait for that one guy to leak someones address because he went alone and the enemy packmaster dragged him somewhere
The first 2 or 3 days of something and potentially game breaking game mode or thing comes out, is always seen positive
then the next 4 days are just pure seethe and anger
👀 👀 👀

Oh boy first Votann lore is gonna be Men of Iron 2
WHERE DID YOU GET IT FROM
.
HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET IT THEN
I think it might be their kill team stuff
I'll hunt it down ma'am please don't shoot me

I'm fairly certain it's official since the fonts are the same ones Geedubs uses
Also that's the scheme they used for the kill team
Oh no yeah its official
im just asking where did you find it lmao
or did you get it from another person who also posted it
Ederius’ just woke up in a cold sweat with the image in his hands, its source is unknown, from somewhere beyond
We need to get information from him by any means necessary
I actually drew it myself
I'm Miguel Iglesias' alt account actually
The art seem to be from the Kill team https://canyourollacrit.com/2023/05/06/kill-team-gallowfall/
Ed had a Hangover moment, woke up with a lost Codex in the bathtub and someone else's lore dump
I haven't been drunk in over a year!!!!
Bathtub full of ice and missing an organ. But paid in official codex stuff
A fair trade
Ahh yeah it does seem like the KT format
It might be fan made
Could be a well made fan art
Its not.
i was gonna say the squat in the art looks like the ones from the killteam
serious quesiton, has any off the like offical campaign rules actually matter? Ive never seen anyone who runs camapigns in a custom system or just not really care
octarius didnt matter
uh
the like 2 after that didnt matter
In the grander scheme of things ? No
In smaller stuff yes
ah fari
Yeah its very much classic smaller 40k conflicts
SOME got setups that get paid off later
but its not massive
trying to get back into 40k especially not knowing anyone else who liked 40k irl is rough

i messaged GW support using my alt email called "jaydumpsitetool" and they replied with
"hello dump,"
im called dump now
Hiii dump
to be fair 40k takes local lore pretty well
like
LGS' own lore
well time to play my favorite game on the lex website
random loyalist space marien chatper
Night swords!
alot of lore but no art
they are white and their cymbol is 2 crossed curved swords
anyone here know of helldivers?
the game?
yes
heard of it but never played
because they say 40k was one of the main inspirations for the setting and boy does it show lol
Oh yeah also Maggie
do you want an entire chart of known loyalist chapters with art
pls, the only one i cna find is on the fandom
Oh boy hold on this is a big boy
CHRIST MY FUCKING EYES
🌈
oh fuck that one, i couldn tfind a high quality version of it lmao
LMAO ITS LAODING LIKE A FUCKING
OLD COMPUITER
ITS PRETTY HD
opera GX does not like me moving the tab

looks like a fucked up periodic table
oh thsi is the older version, thers an up to date one but fuck that lmao
LMAO
god i love how soul drinkers have the most unique shade of purple
taking lab grade supplies from work to use on my 40k printed minis
mechanicus level shit
seeing people use an 8000$ optics breadboard table as a desk is the shit you'd expect to see in 40k
I really like the white councils damn, didn’t they have a book?
im super sure they did
The sources only say they were in lords of silence, let me go check the main discord
like for a few chapters, don't recall anything from their perspective
It’s the avenging sons book series
That’s where their captain model is from

I literally have the books
was about to say there was one character in Spears of the Emperor but that was from the Mentor chapter or whatever nowt that I think about it
And the dark creed
I love that book
it's a good one yeah
I was expecting space marine bolter porn
Oh sorry auto mod
What
thank you auto mod
The twist fucking got me hard
Whiplash in a good way
Let me pull up my humble bundle and give avenging sons a listen

where... is... Messinius' rules?
Do yall think the sailor scouts could defeat a squad of traitor marines
Yeah
I don't think he has his own rules in 10th, he might've had a White Dwarf rule set for 9th back when the model was released
He didn’t have rules in 9th
Lmao
So you just run him as a captain
he's just a general Captain with plasma pistol and power fist
which is one of the available loadouts for one
Those guys are pretty cool whole also not being busyed
Busted*
Diplomatic space marines
Hard Sus on these guys not being Fanon
They are canon
Really?
Yeah but THAT image is edited
Damn they are like peak Fanon
the real pics are on the bottom
These are real lol
the others tho yea fanmade, Algrim Whitefang the main editor of the wiki slapped em in
The Rising Sun strikes again
As cannon as you consider 2 sentences
Yea from back when GW would look at cool fanmade chapters and go "They're canon now"
Now you just need to work for GW lmao
Who was that really terrible op chapter that’s only cannon because the guy who made it works for gw
Work for our overlord James Workshop
Grey Knights? :P
It was like the crusaders or something
I kid.
the same world-ships that put entire system fleets in danger
sounds accurate
lol
fucking trash
It's kind of a cool thing they do sometimes where they'll pair someone from the lore team with someone from the painting team and have them work together to create new subfactions. Like Peachy and Ward worked together to make the Nihilakh Dynasty for the Necrons.
and a funny thing about that is apparently Peachy would keep getting comments on painting tutorials saying he was pronouncing Nihilakh wrong and he was just screaming to himself "I made them, I know how it's pronounced!"
I do like the employe subfaction stuff made canon
I got this model as part of my Drukhari splurge and plan to convert it into an Archon.
Like basically all it needs is a different head and it's done tbh
HUH, WHERE THTS FROM
I know it’s a soulblight but I never seen that one before
It's Anasta Malkorion, was a special model exclusive for Warhammer day in 2021
Got it on Ebay
I wish the current Drukhari archon mini wasn't so terrible
its also relatively new as well
Was trying to get Karlina Von Carstein because she is also a good one to turn into an Archon, but she was more expensive and found Anasta in the suggestions so got her instead.
Yes, I detest the Archon model
mono pose, no fucking helmet option
and it's not even a good pose
literally missing the most iconic part of an Archon for me
The succubus and Haemonculus that came out along with him are both
more tolerable
still not great
I don't know why, but seeing those dhrukari models reminded me of a book about the mordian guard detachment Fighting a dhrukari raiding party alongside an inquisitor. Though said inquisitor was engaged in a duel with a dark eldar leader of sorts
Weird scene in that book where one of the guardsmen had perfect shot to take out their leader, but was told not to because "their duel"
honor™️
I see people use their spare 4 archons to kitbash with idoneth
Honor, sure, but also threat of execution for getting the job done
Warhammer writers sure do love the rule of cool
A little too much
So is tzeetch cultists more insane than a nurgle cultist? Or like what’s the deal there
Everyone can be as insane in their own direction
Like a truly insane Nurgle dude would be taking baths in feces by the hour, and a truly insane Tzeentch dude would speak prophecies in only haiku or some shit
yeah its starship troopers meets 40k. mainly due to the fanatical way they talk about super earth
and "democracy"
I thought Helldivers was supposed to be Halo crossed with Starship Troopers
yeah its why I got zero warhammer vibes
it felt more like 40k fans trying to superimpose something that isn't really there.
They just be drawing from the similarity of slaying alien bugs en masse while shouting your allegiance
Thats Earth Defense Force
welp try 5 to write a custom space marine chapter
get to work nerd
the orphan makers chapter (they’re the good guys i swear)
oka first draft
based off a customc hapter i made forever ago
custom chapter*
well first sum up
draft
Cytax Tyrants:
An ultramarine successor who believe that the mortal kind are not fit to rule and should only serve the Space Marines. Whilst being Codex Compliant their rites to progress within the chapter they must show not only be skilled in combat but as well hold political power within and without the chapter. The chapter presents it self as bastions of culture and the peak of what the imperium has to offer; in reality they are cruel and possibly even more oppressive than simply directly serving the imperium. The Tryants will answer nearly any call to aid and host a campaign of bloodshed and oppressions on not only the enemy expecting that upon completion the ones to call for aid will surrender anything demanded to the Cytax Tyrants. If denied they will turn the same campaign around upon those they were called to save until the Tyrants obtain everything they demand and more. The only exceptions being those who are immediately under the protection of the imperium such as the inquisition or the Mechanicus as well as Space Marine chapters that's views align with the Tyrant's own. In these situations the chapter will attempt to use diplomacy to obtain as much as possible for their efforts.
In a nutshell military dictatorship ultramarines.
thinking cytax will probably be the system they come from and they exclusivly draw from the elite class
My homebrew are a chapter who give all your dudes wedgies
my- my- my chapte rhas an anti space marione forcefield against your chapter!
im getting vivid flash backs to preschool
and elementry
just like real 40k lore
Basically lol
Warhammer writers would name them Fraternitus Boyus or sm
Black Legion shattered Cadia then suffered a great defeat. Abbadon can kill a custodes all he wants
We can hate Ultramarines but they put the Black Legion in there place after Cadia.
Oh, no. I dont know how to feel about this. I am so exited for this game and this is not the best of starts.
Also the words "New chapter champions" makes me belive its skins or heroes. Man i really hope that customization is still going to be there. It will suck if you cant make custom chapters. I would say for me, it will be a make or break moment.
remember to never pre order a game. ever
Yup, learned the hard way.
I dont know how to feel about the season pass as well. I mean i think id take a season pass over a in game microtrasnactions store any day. Cough cough darktide.
Apparently this is from the new issue of White Dwarf
I mean we know there's customization
It's confirmed we'll get armour variants
Cus we've seen Phobos and Tacticus
ideally I hope this means multiplayer and horde mode
I would like to make my Dolly the prettiest of them all
If Saber was ahead of the curve, they wouldve done a Gears 5 Escape style for Space Marine 2
Deep Strike into a Tyranid Nest, deploy the toxins, exfil
Gears 5 was good, the stupid thing at the end of the game just
made it BAD
from the gameplay trailers alone, basically meets a gears of war fans expectations, incredibly meaty weapons and enough blood to make a butcher blush
Its a solid 7/10 on release, but man that stuff at the end?
EAsily made it 4/10 for me
SMH doesn’t even include the mini
(Multiplayer, Horde, and Escape however made the game an 8/10 tho as it got more love, bautista bombing people and making them explode is so worth it)
damn you're on to something with that
first space marine to have tripped for the pose
It just looks quite generic unfortunately right
It’s in a shitty board game
game will be a decent play aslong as they don't fuck up the performances
Ohh yeah I forgot the game even existed
Oh it isn’t shitty but it’s literally the model and some the small nids
I hope youre right
I don’t think his model even has rules
It looks like it's going to be a performance requirement machine from the trailers
Hopefully the optimization doesn't obliterate it's self
and sound design, if the game doesnt sound perfect, it'll be hard to love, ( ill like the game, but i wont love it)
Ikr, feels like it would be sick if you got a mini version of the collectors edition. Like doing a similar pose with the tyranid.
you never knows
sometimes games are very well optimised despite their looks
it's just very hard to pull off
for most dev teams
yeah hopefully it lives up to the hype people are giving it
There is a setting on the game where it's called Contrast Paints, for the best performance and looks
Eavy Metal for RTX on
Kate is an decent Gears Protag, like all Gears Protags, really just stuck in a super SHITTY place at all times.
But they just had to do a stupid choice based ending for the game. Thats the biggest problem
they literally broke their own hands thinking it would be a fantastic bullet catch trick.
I would love the story to continue and see Gears 6.
But I honestly would love it more, if they just canned it all.
every series must have an end
or they'll get rebooted for a million times
dead space is going through that process and it's making me sad
Gears 5 started off really well, it was sure as shit 5x better than Gears 4. But man.
A choice based ending? Really???
You say that like the reboot was bad lol
it always annoys me when people are like "X old game should be remastered"
Warhammer the Old World is Warhammer Fantasy Remastered
They sucked then, they'll suck now
your standards are low
More like yours are
As a person that played DS1 all the way back in the dya when it came out
it had everything i wanted
you think i didn't?
they even got Isaac's VA gunner wright back and hes actually a character now
Dark eldar?
i was like 9 when it came out
but improving on the shitty parts of the main game
that's the issue
Its not
why are you playing an R16 game at 9 years old
and it didn't keep everything the same
Its what a remake literally is
Arrest this person
it's a soulless cash grab

every game is a cash grab
If a game is successful and is bought a lot by people, its technically a cash grab
EA canned the studio that made the original series because 3 came out during a time when single player games were losing sales
you're wrong
it had nothing to do with it being a singleplayer game
you're straight up wrong
nice hill to die on today, isnt it fellas
LOL
since we're arguing with Dilara, I think Greece is a nice country
this is literally from EA themselves and the head writer
All that's missing is a van
christ as if i havent been following the series for a decade
I saw very little complaints about the Remake, more over, everyone who talked about it was okay with it.
If I wanted to make a wordbearers army I’d just get chaos space marines and use their codex and paint them with word bearer colors right
You say that like people can't tell a bad remake apart from a good one. Ala Resident Evil 4, where everyone nitpicked the stuff it did wrong in detail and criticized it properly.
Dead Space 1's remake barely has any problematic decisions at all.
Gamers can be stupid
people somehow complained about Dead Space 3, even when Dead Space 1 remastered came out
but they arent this brainless
Also this yeah
people loved DS1 remake BECAUSE it didn't sully anything
Basically
Wait hold on I have that one tweet somewhere stay here
sprinkle some cultists, some daemons, and some possessed, youre off to the races
Sweet thanks
One of the complaints people made about the DS1 remake was the Ishimura having gender neutral bathrooms.
Truly unplayable
Not like its the fucking future or anything 💀
I aint pissing where a woman pissed
dead space 3 had many issues but the community overplayed a lot of them. EA was forcing the studio to implement more mechanics that were popular at the time and surprise surprise that meant the core audience was pissed off
Yes we know.
they sat on the toilet seat, thats where i practice my aiming
i dont think dead space 3 was bad tbh
????
It was aggressively fine
EA is just a dog shit company
What do you guys hope Henry’s 40j movie is gonna be about? I’m hoping siege of vraks tbh.
but it actively killed the franchise
uh
prob something super surface and basic
Siege of Vraks makes no sense
2 is still my favorite
its probably a show, and it has to be set in M.42
that's cool dilara
IT LITERALLY IS
I played 2
I honestly like Isaac talking
he is literally on the verge of shitting his pants
yeah 2 was when they decided Isaac is an actual character
I love how in the remake hes just
yeah that's what made dead space so unique
constantly shitting your pants
"YEAH PREACH"
him complaining in 1 so much was so funny and realistic
my guy had enough of everyones shit
i always love scenarios in movies and games where the protag is just fucking terrified the whole way through
Dead Island 2 did it pretty well
Who do you voodoo moment
this is a weird one but texas chainsaw massacre is my favorite movie that does it
the original one
Vegan lmao
i dont like the message lol
but hey a horror movie with any message at all is pretty cool
world war Z is a dog shit movie but i love it
oh darkwood
darkwood is another game where you're just frantically trying to get by
Speed Racer is also a dog shit movie, but also the best fucking movie
why dont Space Marines have an awesome super muscle car to use
instead they have goofy looking ATV's
I want Death Race and Speed Racer to have a baby, to make a stupid fast space marine super death car
i think orks do that
imagine every century a bunch of races go on a planet to race
tau, orks, space marines, guard
why hasnt GW done this
it ain't beating a red colored Shokkjump Dragta
we need to make a 40k death race happen lads
yeah we're also getting an ork game for it too lol
I played the alpha and it was pretty fun but they're quite silent about the development of the game
seems that have to be careful what news to tell
sadly baneblades dont go that fast
id imagine they still haul ass
Tanks are in the game like a looted reman russ and a grot mega tank
But baneblade is way too big
also, the tank treads for 40k are what metal and not rubber?
leman russes go pretty fast
In the game they are quite slow compared to the other vehicles as a matter of fact they make up for this slowness by having a self heal
All heavy vehicles do
There are a lot of ork fans that want to have a scrap
It's going to have probably a small but loyal community
I dont want to think about a max speed sicaran with its autocannons on full either
take a break my friend
if youre tired ondrawing, sleep
or go outside and walk, and reset your eyes by looking at horizons
Nah I've just been drawing pretty much nonstop for 3+ weeks lmao
I've barely touched my vidya games since Jan
hey i've been doing what i've always wanted to do at work and i still have to force myself to take breaks otherwise my brain becomes mush
sadly we're limited by our biological functions
I think it's also that shit got super humid out of nowhere and I just can't function when the air's like that lol
I think I'll be fine after a day or two
damn man
btw here's the size comparison between a battle cannon normal leman russ vs the discontinued gryphonne IV vanquisher
i want to make a joke
You know you can tell who is over compensating
i feel like a kid just touching these tanks
it's so fucking cool
now i need to add all the accessories to my leman russ
The longer barrel looks cool, but it'd probably be illegal to use in a game of 10th edition (If you plan on playing rather than just collecting)
if i really wanted to i could turn the turret backwards and use it in comp
Even then, the barrel is basically double the length, people would probably say it's cheating
that's the battle cannon
i glued the battle cannon on but here's compared to a vanquisher
Yea that's closer
arent i putting myself at a disadvantage by using a bigger model anyways
With the way you determine range in 10th if the model isn't on a base you measure from the closest point of the vehicle, so if you're barrel is twice the length then you're giving yourself extra attack range that the model wouldn't normally have, so people would probably complain if it was obvious.
But yea it's also a trade off of you'd also be exposing yourself more because they can target the longer barrel
anyways i didnt print this to play with it
i think it's a very funny official model
Chaos ironkin?
this reminds me of battle bots
A lot of ork vehicles are practically just enlarged battlebots
lol fair
when i see Vashtorr its on sight
i dont care about votann, but i love their ironkin
The chapter primarly draws from thier home system of Cytax, specifically they take every male child under the age of 14 except one from every noble family before being placed into intese training. These children are forced into a series of gladiator battles upon reaching the age of 14 in teams against various prisoners, vicious animals, and even disgraced space marines of the chatper. The surviving teams are then forced to turn on each on other in a battle to the death ensuring only the most merciless are accepted. The accepted children are allowed to begin the true rites of passage into the chapter
need a good genetic flaw
All their hairs grey and eyes turn light steel blue
I'm still new in the 40k universe but
i cant tell if thats a fallout refrence or a hunger games refernce
gulliman is a primarch
its bascially tcha
chapter master of chapter master
except like
their literal father
Chapter Master are just the SM general, not genetic father
yea
I thoughtd itd be cool that they all look like some noble looking ghost men
So basically
oh lmoa
Grand Chapter masters
more like, the dad of the chapter masters
Sons cant outrank their dads
Thank you
every son of gulliman chapter is genetically related to gulliman
every ultramarine sucessor*
and daddy gulliman is a demi god
also i need a good motivation for teh chatper
maybe their home system is basicaly falling apart and unable to keep it self afloat?
lmao
"Nice planet, glad it belongs to me now"
"wha-"
"are you arguing back?"
"..."
Tyrant of Badab 2.0 over here
lmao
kitbash wise make them all regal looking and high decor
also just covered in glore
Space Marines dont need specific reasons to do anything, theyre like Cats
They’re gonna be doing something regardless
Dont need motivation if theres some fighting to do there, a little defending here, maybe a little patrolling over there
That hive city on that world is getting rowdy.
Let off some steam shall we, cull the gangers, and establish some trade
lol
Space Marine-ing is a good job mate
also my chapter being assholes who are more then willing to fight certain chapters works perfet for marine v marine
“Challenging work, guaranteed you won’t go hungry”
The Decimators and Cytax Tyrants together looking for nerd chapters to beat up
lmao
thats your custom chapter?
"You bow to the human? Pathetic. You are not fit to be space marines, surrender your home world or else."
or
"Why are you trying to protect these humans."
The Decimators are a destroyer type pattern fleet that pretty much travels only as one (old punishment), and they pretty much just go to warzone after warzone
o
I mean your chapter could go and ask my chapter if they want to join in doing stuff, and theyll probably join up
Unless the Tyrants kinda go overboard
i couldnt tell what the decimators were
lol
i thought you weree talking aboutthe demon engine or custom cahtper
My custom chapter
I literally didnt know what to name them
And i listened to a song called Decimator
I was like yeah, thats my chapters name
Cut print and ship it out
they probably would work together as long as the tyrants call dips on the planet
dibs*
the planet they are aiding*
or attacking
either or
my friend's chapter despises mine, The Void Blades
they dare to 'respect' humans or 'dont work them to death'
now i can make my chapter master
when i make a chapter they'll be roaming freelancers just doing whatever for whoever
When I make a chapter it actually won’t be a chapter, just a bunch of Orks in SM power armor shouting “For da Empra!”
As to why, who knows?
i can see some ork warbands doing that
but space marines usually have reasons to do things
like honor
i really dont like those chapters that are way too into ceremonies and honor stuff
sounds boring as hell
Sounding like house Terryn
I like the noble honor stuff, I just hate black Templars and dark angels
Maybe these orks are just some ‘o dem blood axes dat fink dem beakies are pretty fighty, and fought dat if an ork was like a beakie, it’d be extra fighty!
Agreed, and I’m not even into space marines
But you know how dem blood axe boyz are, always finkin’ too much and not krumpin enuff
Death skulls literally use space marine stuff
They be looting a forgeworld then start churning out their own ork marine chapters
Yeah but Dey don’t like acting like Humies like blood axes do
Definitely working with deathskulls though for sure
I will be using this Ork convo to post these because I love them
I heard you flippin' beta alpha sigma gamma delta epsilon zeta eta theta males were having a little bit of a hard time discovering the true secret to becoming your best most authentic self, so Boss Lotsateef has put together this handy informational guide to discovering the secrets of becoming a SQUIGMA MALE (2x better than a Sigma Male AT LEAST...
Follow along with these sigma rizzler ASMR binaural beats to unlock your hidden potential and krump those zoggin Sigmas and Alphas with this ONE WEIRD TRICK! Warbosses hate him! Our Mad Doks have discovered a STRANGE LOOPHOLE in the Ork mind that allows any common garden variety Boy to BECOME A TRUE SQUIGMA.

Not a space marine guy but;
Are there any particularly interesting relationships between space Marines and guard regiments?
Like, guardsmen arguing about which chapter is the best? Have any astartes raised a regiment of guard? Do any space marines prefer certain regiments? Have any specific regiments been influenced by space Marines that saved their world? Like a guard regiment that uses lots of flames because back when they were just primitives the salamanders came to their rescue or something..
I would say that there is mostly not any single one of those things happening
Also, what's the chaos equivalent to the ultramarines? Like-the efficient ones.
Because I'm really liking the word bearers, I wonder how strategically potent they are. I would love to see a loyalist chapter of them.
Black legion
Black Legion
The black legion are by far
Because it’s from our perspective there are plentiful of Astartes
The most cohesive and efficient fighting force of chaos
But like most Guard Regiments don’t have those kind of allies at most times
Because like if it’s some random regiment made to defend their homeworld*
Oh so it's not just because they're the poster boys of chaos?
Yeah
there is small chance of them seeing such stuff
Yeah
Black Legion is the largest
Like the black legion do have faults
But they’re very cohesive
And well coordinated
And has the most fanciest gear
They have a proper chain of command and are relatively unified
Hmm, makes sense.
At least DG still has Apothecary’s
Aren't the Iron Warriors and Word Bearers both pretty unified?
No….
Iron warriors aren’t unified at all
They’ve got a lot of small warbands
That are willing to work together
But they don’t have a unified purpose
What exactly do they do? they just inject you with more diseases?
Word Bearers accumulate mass via daemons and cults
Word bearers are 5 steps from a civil war with each other
Geneseed implantation
Unironically
Make new recruits as I recon
And “medical” care
Straight up 2 zealous Dark Apostles might fight each other
And also yeah
Even if you are a skilled Champion of Chaos
Erebus and Kor Pharon are a match made in hell
And they’re busy trying to compete for power
If Dark Apostle gets killed, while you was of their commanders/bodyguards
Well that’s straight execution
turns out representative democracy doesn't work when you have a bunch of power hungry psychopaths in charge
Which is why the word bearers are so uh
un coordinated
all the higher ups have their own goals
And usually their battle tactics is zealous rush
Not to speak about their different views on “religion”
thinking about the dead space discussion from earlier
you know it's crazy how you can trace back how the game industry changed
dead space 1 was made when companies went buckwild with DLC's
i have it on xbox 360 and holy shit there's so many DLC's
space marine was the same
SM1 had dlc ?
It’s just customisation for multiplayer
then companies went to lootboxes
Well, I'll be damned
yeah
it's a typical steam page for a game made in the early 2010's
Ads in game ?
i want to say that battlepasses are better than lootboxes
at least you know you're losing money
In the case of Overwatch you'd be wrong
It's lootbox system was ass, but it was far more consumer friendly than their current system

More reasons to snap back to old games or games made by small studios
i think next up is games costing a lot less but requiring monthly subscriptions to play
it's already happening actually
You mean the WoW way
MMO's paved the way for scumminess
Na sure Ubisoft have announced that their new pirate game is a AAAA game and increasing the price
Was what made me decide in with WoW against GW2, and even though I don't play either anymore I do think GW2 is still fun
Even more sense not to buy such stuff
they actually get a lot more money from subscriptions
Admitelty I am watching a Skull and bone stream atm and it doesn't look bad, both looks and gameplay
at least single player games are doing ok
there's been a resurgence of them lately
For now
a lot less dev time for studios since there's no need for bug fixing online play
Don’t know, the game seems kinda odd to me
there wouldn't be a point in a season pass and stuff for a single player game is the thing
people play games max two times and done
Skull and Bone has been in development for like 11 years and it still looks half finished.
the thing i dont like about current single player games is how publishers are doing the hollywood strat
don't need to hire writers if you just remaster old titles
plus it's a safe IP
EA has a shit ton of IP's they sucked dry and killed off
dead space being one of them
A lot of the new Singleplayer IPs aren't much better, most of them are written by people trying to copy the style of the Marvel Movies
which games would that be?
these IP's mostly come from before marvel was even that big
And IP they've shelved and buried when they could have fun sequels
yes. in hindsight this was probably their plan all along
Like Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum
shelve the studios and keep the IP for later
which again is what happened with dead space
are those old IP's?
oh sorry
The last SW solo game was good, with the red haired Jedi
Is it a new IP or not ? Like it's part of SW but it's an independent story
i wonder if capcom will remake resident evil 5
i usually dont believe in this crap but i dont think that game would fly these days
HD boulder punching
I watched my ex play the one with the Hillbilly
7?
Was somewhat gruesome
7 is my favorite of the "new" resident evils
Might be, 8 was the one with the blender baby ?
idk i never played it but i played 7 a shit ton and i dont remember blender baby
The baby was in RE: Village
Is that 8 ? It's with the big lady that people were thirsthing for; with the triplet daughter
capcom has a lot of my respect for bringing resident evil back to its roots
yup that's 8
resident evil 6 went batshit insane
i dont think the franchise would have survived if they kept that up
@celest dome you should try 7
there's an add on campaign where you punch zombies to death with combos and shit
it's so fun
I'm not sure, I saw quite a lot of story i think
what do you mean
From 7, my ex played it while I watched it, but I played 8 on my own
