Many primaris often are librarians too.
Its very lazy marketing
the larger thing is barely mentioned in lore because it's just a reference to tabletop primaris being bigger than old ones
Librarians are primaris sometimes hence why they're such beasts.
📚
what would be a viable reason for a grey knight to not kill you , a none member?
If you are a Space Marine or a Sororitas
otherwise you are getting killed lol
if you are part of the inquisition
Even Solar Auxilia?
those guys are 30k
and even then they'll probably kill you if you arent malleus
They got figures recently apparently
yeah for 30k
grey knights love killing witnesses
lets say youre a human from our world and somehow get isekaid or teleported to 40k, with somehow a device containing documents of every bit of science tech and blueprints we got in modern day. is it a good or a bad idea to deliver this device to the adaptus mechanicus?
Their patterns still exist, but that's like it.
I forget what does yellow represent to orks?
would they see you as a heretic?
it would be destroyed
if it's modern day tech it would be barely worth anything
Yellow is explosive
isnt tech from terra considered sacred or rare?
Yellow means it's probably explosive
Hmm, I just see a lot of evil sunz with yellow
from the dark age of technology
40k tech in its current state is still leagues more powerful than ours
hasnt most of the technilogy from our modern day and age been lost to the ages? surely the knowledge is valuable
the year of our lord 2024 is not even close to the dark age of tech
Some of it's uncovered.
they just put limits on themselves
only from the dark age of technology
But not all dark age technology is used.
they make laser guns. they have no use for our stuff
Some is rebuilt, or just inferior to older patterns.
in 40k making autoguns is considered low tech and that's our weaponry
heres nother question. lets say im on a more prosperous hive world. and i have all this knowledge of current day earth etc. would it be good or bad to seek out a representative of the inquisition and volunteer to just.. give them this information? not asking for anything in return or whatever. just trying to help give this knowledge to those who may want it?
Tanks seem like low-tech technology attached with lasers.
I mean their design just is so basic even for sci-fi.
They probably wouldnt care and would probably just turn you away/ignore you
Or may even punish/kill you for wasting their precious time
I mean Halo tanks have threads.
Inquisitors are busy people that are difficult to find
To be honest with many things in 40k tanks would be obsolete. But they're cool.
nope. i just do alot of thinking and day dreaming. and these are some things i thought of at some point or another
Tanks have a place like all tactics
also im just curious bout lore stuff
So, I understand why tanks are included. Practical isn't always necessary.
I'm happy to lore dump whatever you want
Badass tank battles are cool. So, I can understand.
especially with non human factions
40k is literally just to do cool shit with a very loose universal set of rules
But tanks like most 40k technology is niche.
Militaries use tech over hundreds of years old, so the militarum is like that.
in all cases i doubt an inquisitor would give a crap about that tech. if somebody in charge of terra's various archives hears about you they'd probably want to kill you for some reason or another
I mean we use old school computers still.
I think you're overselling how much they'd care
which are also still a thing in 40k
non servitor cogitators are still present
lets say i have information about an ucoming devastating ambush to the grey knights that will destroy many of the chapters members. but i have this information enough in advance that i can prevent it, if i deliver this information. would there ever be a way to do that without being instantly killed by the grey knights or accused of heresy? just for trying to save them and do the right thing?
he isnt talking about dark age of tech stuff. literally just basic modern day tech
and are probably more powerful
thats what I'm saying
Do you think we use computers like WW2 in 40k.
they wouldnt give a shit
I mean because they pre-dated the digital age.
well why? wouldnt they want the info i have? id wilingly share it
Computers used vacuum tubes for a long time, but they cannot be intelligent.
well first of all they only want stuff if it's valuable
and that stuff isnt valuable
Prior to that it was just clicking of circuits together.
Yeah 40k only has a sanction on learning cogitators, they get around this a bit with servitors
inquisitors have a lot to do and archiving earth lore isnt something they'd do
The Custodes would do that
maybe a adeptus ministorum or some other logistics entity might want it
They archive all types of information.
as like a minor curiosity
The custodes keep lots of information hidden, and archive Terra especially.
Because Terra is a holy world.
i always think itd be interesting to be someone who memmorized the entire 40k lore and end up in that universe
The necrons apparently remember a lot about the universe.
you wouldn't want to is the thing
i know i know
We are talking about literal space roman-nazis here, you expect them to be sensible and cooperative, these people are taught to be intolerant fascists.
I wouldn't say nazis. Romans were known to be intolerant.
They are absolutely nazi-esque lol
a big can of worms is opened
sure but im not having this knowledge and keeping it to myself i wilingly seek them out to give them this knowledge without asking for anything in return
And again.
Commisars are Russian officers.
you expect too much from literal monsters
these people dont care if you give it willingly
Quite literally
the literal act of free thinking is seen as bad
the imperium is built to be scorned
They have more similarities to the Soviet Union.
well alot of high ranking members of the inquisition do that. and the adeptus ministarum. etc
obligatory post
Soviet Union was pretty brutal in those means too.
i doubt people would even trust you. how do they know you're saying the truth
Yeah because they are hypocrites.
Nazis loved education.
Comparing evils means nothing. Evil is evil.
they've been granted this privelege by edict of the god emperor himself, autonomy is quite rare, and few individuals have it
Such as rogue traders
rogue traders. krieg commanders. commisars etc
and even then it is limited
^
Its like real life medieval ages
"You guys gotta trust me because God chose me as king"
lol
and people buy it because they are dumb and uneducated
I couldn't say they are nazis, maybe intolerant. But the holy roman empire is closer
thats a fair point. i always wondered how id be able to prove it to them
they literally exterminate other races
Extermination, xenophobia, genetic purity messages, mass propaganda, literal liquidation of anyone "different" including humans, I can go on.
and mutants
Though to be honest the God Emperor is more like Stalin with his take on religion.
He doesn't care for it.
yes yes we get it grimmest darkest
but surely valuable information is valuable information
I mean inspirations upon inspirations.
but ironically this is not the take the imperium adopts
yeah and you start saying lore stuff that nobody else would know and suddenly you have a bolt pistol aimed at your head
^
Nor does the Soviet Union with how they viewed Stalin
exactly what i was wondering earlier
Stalin was beloved despite the things he did. All that propaganda.
it exists as an anaethma to the vision its creator had, and insists it is acting upon His divine will
dont worry every lore nerd has gone though the process. you die no matter what lol
^
a lot of time travel movies cover this topic, you can go back in time and spout all of this and you'll still get killed or be accused of being a witch lol
anything that doesnt perfectly align with the imperial truth is made to align with it, by ceasing to exist
you'd have to act very subtlely
like how the God emperor of mankind did
but imagine this. if by some off chance miracle they believe me. and i also am not killed. having someone who in this scenario knows. or ahs access the the entirety of the 40k lore at their hand would be as invaluable as the emperors throne. because holy shit that is meta knowledge that could help them strike further and harder at chaos then anything ever did
You would just get called a heretic and burned at a pyre
Its just a matter of how enjoyable your life is before it does
again
idk. i think its a fun scenario
or how much meaning its given
They don't care about advancing the reason everything is so backwards is for control.
Its not control, its just that people are stupid lol
Which is why if I get brought into the 40k universe by some means, I pray I am an Ork
it would be very funny if the imperium knew about random stuff like what eldar are doing
i doubt it would help much against tyranids
little goofy guys having the time of their lives
Eh, I'm still a firm inherent human goodness fan
id probably be kept prisoner by the inquisition in my little scenario. but assuming my scenario is as ive said. itd just be a case of "you wont be harmed or hurt. buuuuut you cant leave
not to mention a lot of books take the perspective of imperials so we only know what the imperium knows
And so is my rogue trader in the game
Tons of people in 40k are good its just the institution is corrupt beyond repair
same. its why i love the salamanders
I actually am tied with them for space wolves
i love them too!!
space wolves can be decent at protecting the innocent
Hey, its just like real life!
The good humans you speak of either die, or are forgotten.

and thats what I like about it, small embers of hope in the darkness
They exist in 40k, but they are probably dead because of it.
im also low-key curious about tiberus and his chapter
yes exactly!
Goodness exists in the darkness, but does it keep you alive being a good person in 40k.
Not really
commisr elise is good person at heart
ciaphas cain, gaunt
seeking purchase in the tinder of progress, however unlikely
a lot of space marines who dont die
They're good people, but does it change the state of things.
ogryns make me happy
Than they died for their beliefs
Does it matter?
salamanders as a whole
Yes if your goodness is snuffed out what is the point.
theres no "good ending"
So long as you make small change in someone's life, you have made a tangible impact
but there could be. i turely believe it
does there need to be?
No thats the point of the setting
I think the means are the end when it comes to goodwill
I mean if you live the best you can in a bad situation.
In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war
There isnt any, humanity is doomed

the good ending is ferrus manus coming back and iron handing the emperor back to life
Yup
i dont really believe that. i truely think a turn for the good is coming , even if a far far away time
Its not.
Then let us burn brightly
For the Imperium? I'll pass lol
I mean there is a saying the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
not for the imperium. for humanity
Oh nah I mean like for the endeavor of humanity
Ehhhhhhhh
as in basic human decency
Good intentions doesn't matter without good actions.
there isnt really a "humanity" left
Like trying to do good
True
this is not real life it's a fictional setting where nerds coom over buff men in a not homosexual manner
i think thats aa bit of a superficial and cynical way to look at it
You could argue even in 30k, humans are already doomed
Yeah but like all fantasy it can help reflect on the nature of real life a bit
But being human is difficult and to ignore that is boring.
the detachment is good
So true
Existence is adversity
The struggle of the characters is what makes them human.
Existence is struggling, and suffering. But it matters what you make of that suffering.
And Existence Are One In The Same
Go Buy Darkest Dungeon! It's pretty dang good: http://store.steampowered.com/app/262060/
Its really not
this setting is here because you are suppose to enjoy everyone being evil
and being comically villanous
lol
the entire setting is cynical
Yeah and I love it
But that isn't exactly true. There is good, but it's snuffed out.
unrelate but id rather die to khorne followers then any of the others. least of which are nurgle boys
Being good doesn't matter if your intentions aren't good.
just pick up big guns and shoot orks simple as
The righteous are snuffed out, and bring more darkness.
i know i know but its also nunced and large and isnt just single faced and 1 dimensional.
And I enjoy its endeavor
however pointless
Or pick up big guns and shoot humies
simple as
this is false
There is good in 40k, but in the end ultimately pointless.
i like that one
the reply is better lol
its suppose to be a naive quote
because it is
you say naive. i say ponderous / hopefull
Just remember there are no friendly xenos because humanity killed them all lolol
Eh, Naivite can bring peace, doesnt hurt anything much
people can frame things however they want
whatver gets em through the day
bro reserve your majestic brain cells for a setting that isn't a marketing gimmick
lmao me and @tough haven are out here defending hope and goodness like we are blue lanterns
Ignorance is bliss is a saying.
Anyone who was easy to kill or peaceful died during the GC lol
Eh, I enjoy sharing it wherever I can
wym?
To die without regrets is the best you can do in 40k. Die before you become something you hate.
40k as a setting exists to sell plastic
SO true
GW does not respect you nearly as much as you respect the setting
Death is the best fate you can have.
Die for a purpose
interactions like this are the seeds of what gives me hope. i love this!
Dying peacefully however is difficult.
Die in service of the innocent
Nothing wrong with enjoying content that has more meaning but yeah, 40k is just a galactic clown fiesta
At its core
i dont really care tbh
and I love its chaos
Die protecting those who cannot protect themselves, maybe you die.
But perhaps they live
I do enjoy 40k's lore a lot tbh
So do I
but thats just me lol
you have to enjoy the stupidity
Yeah
it's like dumb action movies
i firmly believe that once creation is put out into the world what it was ment as and what it actually means to people are not the same at all.
Fight for those who cannot so they can fight another day.
Sacrifices are heart wenching, and just badass.
so anyways i decided to put 4 autocannons on my super leman russ
its so expansive and varied but its also so stupid for the sake of cool shit and I love the contrast
@arctic talon can i use this on tabletop
A good last stand is better then being worked to death.
I need a little more context, I dont pay attention to most imperium lore
mechanicus is interesting
I don't think auto cannons on russ have a rule. But I'd just proxy them as anything personally tbh
lemme double check
brb
I'd join something like the guard
im joking you can only put heavy stubber and storm bolter
A blaze of glory is also cyberpunk.
Cadian survivors were given 2 choices Starve in orbit or get servitorized/conscripted into the labor force/drafted to hold off chaos
i suffer from some mental illnesses i wont specify here for the sake of not boring you guys and not going off topic. but one of the things i do. and i do a lot. is maladaptive daydreaming, develp special intrests/ hyperfixations / and think. alot of thinking. so universes as expansive as 40k are just an entire universe getaway for me to go into and enjoy in my head. and i love this stuff. including the conversations we are having rn 😄
Personally when it comes to good and evil philosophy I am a huge deontological philosophy fan, ofc also moral relativism
Dystopian is always so interesting
I kinda wanna recommend Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Sigmar for you ngl, that setting has actual cool good guys and a much better guy leading humanity
Evil is not simple as motives, but intentions. And the belief they are correct.
what does deontological"" mean
Eh, nothing wrong with that, its a distraction from harsh things irl, the grimdark aspect does that as well
If i had to be a regular joe in 40k, i would just be a pencil pusher at the administratum
google it, its fascinating
the TLDR of how it went was unable to fight = servitors, can fight = drafted, children = enslaved
truly a mechanicus moment
ive been looking into it as well but not as much as i have 40k so far
@arctic talon fr though i have this idea of creating a game board where it's a valhallan bunker and the attacking player has to attack from all sides. i'll need to create custom rules but it would be so fun for the defender to get to choose where to place units for a price
That sounds fun
Anyone that has hands and can move things is going to be captured.
for narrative stuff
I'd recommend deep-diving into it, its a setting with actual hopeful stuff and proper heroes instead of awful people
hell I'd make it placing the units free
"Did u fill out form 7643-b and submit it 5 systems away at port doomguy?"
personally
well okay it has awful people
but uhhh
good guys actually exist
which is good lol
I like the good bits contrasted against the all consuming darkness better
Like my beloved ogryns
(Morathi)
no Morathi is hot
Sigvald the magnificent is a good guy trust me
my friend likes to teach me about her sylveth army. and i enjoy the lizard guys alot
morally grey
my plan is for the units to cost points and placing them in better positions costs more points. just so the defender has to think strategically how to set up
Just look at his cover art
I would likely align with these guys in 40k
There is hopeful heroes, that stand in the darkness. They might die, but they are martyrs to be remembered.
if I have to pick a human faction
So true
look up the Stormcasts/Cities of Sigmar, they are great
so basically just "be a good person for the sake of being a good person without having to have a threat of doom or a promise of heaven provided
Sigmar himself is also a man-god gigachad supreme
i LOVE dwarfs
I love the implication that she's the skeleton and not the person
More like the attempt at good is the good itself, regardles of the outcomes, the attempt is what matters
i used to think sigmar was just the emperor. but from the ancient times
right. the intention is all its about
I also thought a AOS/40k connected universe would have been cool
but the reality is almost just as good
I mean the Emperor existed since ancient times in 40k.
Emps is like a C tier god in the context of Warhammer tbh
for like
non chaos gods
You mean all the other gods the necrons and chaos gods wiped out.
Isnt that the point?
I'm including fantasy/aos
I'm a laughing god fan
yeah
bro is just trolling for the sake of it
im curious about the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of chaos gods in the multiverse some outpower the 4 we know by bilionfold scales. but its just that these specific 4 happened to be involved with that specific reality
And the God Emperor scares them.
actually I'm a gork and mork fan at heart
Best chaos gods
gork and mork VS khorne would be epic
OI! Dey aint part of dem chaos boyz!
The Ork gods are cunning and destruction.
the promo art for cities of sigmar is so pretty tbh
Cities of Chadmar keep winning
Orks do not like fighting weakling.
GW so never
Ignore the fact elfs and dwarfs are really good in Cities rn
its not human
AoS has a fuck ton of elfs tbf
They only fight the biggest and baddest battles.
true
to be fair they JUST got their big overhaul, so we'll see
Elves are always more advanced then humans, but usually are isolated from humans.
not really in AoS for Lumineth
I already love the ogre unit with the tower attached to his back lol
this is 40k chat not dumb baby game chat
same with cities
I'm gona mail you a leman russ pipe bomb
/j
one more for the lemoyne russel collection
Kurt Russell???
!!!
I just like orks because they just live for the sake of it
could an ogryne wear parts of a primaris's armor ?
no
I want a Baneblade
no overarching agenda or anything, just have a zoggin good time before you kick the bucket
Too small
the ogryn or the marine
Leman Russes are okay but Baneblades are just better
Marine armor too small
i have a soviet baneblade
wait lmao really?

this video made me love ogryns
Anyone got any good ogryn stories or anything, I just want more ogryn content
Brawler and bodyguard in darktide made me love ogryns
gav and bob?
do you know how theres a theory rn that the ogryn i think i in that video actually. the one guarding commisar elise. might be a perpetual? LMAO i hope its true
I've read gav and bob, but I hunger for more
Rogal Dorn made better tanks
I heard some people have written more stories using the gav and bob setting, but I cant find any
Rogal was known to be good at making things.
i wish vulkan came back
Huh, I'll have to read it
imagine vulkan comes back and he brings the reborn snguinious with him
Lemme guess, <200 pages because not SM?
I do not want sang to come back
why
it ruins his death
There is so many interesting tanks.
The fact that it has "A insert thing" novel, implies there is more
Leman Russ is okay, but there is so many better designs.
They're making more/there was an audio drama before it
Also remidner that Sang was also an equally awful person, he literally abetted galactic genocide alongside the Emperor

OOOH
he got that angel in him
I eagerly await
What was it he saaid to the remembrancer
There are two angels inside you
the only part of the imperium I like are the abhumans
The black rage
Man I wish...
Be like
Lame
One is light the other is dark
fair point
The black rage is a funny thing.
thank fuck they seem to have dropped the whole 2 angels thing lol
The red thirst I have for heretics.
The black rage is when I rage and beat you until you see black
AAA-
:3
The whole Imperium probably had that.
The red thirst is when I’ve run out of kool aid.
The imperium of mankind are the good guys because [mental gymnastics here]
Lmfao
The Imperium of Mankind are the good guys because they look badass while being horrible
vulkan is for sure coming back imho
hes gonna come back depending on how much money the Salamanders make
real
if Space Wolves aren't the next primarch I'd be suprised
leman russ is not as cool as my leman russ
I cant wait for sanguinius to come back
you joke
he prob will
people are like "oh it would ruin his death"
but like, consider right

Gw prolly doing the math on how many people they'll alienate vs people who buy cool new mini
ngl more likely for them to make an updated sanguinor mini imo
as a sanguinius stand in
yeah like people can cry about lore all they want
if his mini sells like hotcakes it wont matter
lmao
Sanguinor is gonna pull some shit and absorb the black rage/red thirst from the legion and become sanguinius reborn
Or something
Speaking of, playing the game rn and uhhh
we get there when we get there
is this the cadian?

💀
wait dilara
We might
you chose cadian
THATS A BOT IT ISNT ME
im disappointed
but they def lean more towards money
^
like uh
i mentioned how this setting runs on money and what GW wants on r40klore once
and the people got really mad lmao
"Yeah we dont need reminders. Saying this statement doesn't make you smart."

horus heresy begins
Thiel: HA . I FUCKING TOLD YOU
That is enough grounds for an execution right there
I mean that seems to be the case for everyone, they just be finding ways to fuck over the lesser, common people in the face of any threat
Yeah, so is sneezing at the wrong time lol

one of my favorite ogryn lines
They see the world in such a unique way
I mean sneezing in the wrong time at best would get you jail time but saying that chaos is not to blame for weakness is well
And, interestingly enough, the often have the will to do things that others say cant be done, just because they cant imagine another outcome
That is like coming up to the queen of England and saying you should have thrown yourself off a Cliff while multiple bodyguards are near her
its honestly, quite orky
thats why I like ogryns, orkiest humies, zoggin good fighters
Doesn't help the fact that the imperium practically mentally stunts their growth
Smart Ogryns are one of the most dangerous things in the imperium
Because if they realize that they're basically treated as slaves well
Oh yeah, it'd be like a mini ghaz
it's not gonna end well
I mean, in all likelihood they'd probably still work for the imperium
they have such strong values of loyalty, I doubt intelligence would change that much
they would just be able to serve the imperium better
There is now a 10 foot slab of meat and anger pointed at the nearest supervisor
And they could maybe weed out the um, less worthy candidates for leadership
Trust me if they realise that their living conditions could be better
The bloodshed would make even corn smile
Then they would be better, or else
The smart thing to do is to start placating them now so they'd have a sense of being indebted when they do become more aware
How likely are you to piss of Khorne by spelling his name as corn
Cause its not, if, its when, you cant keep a lid on that pot forever
He cares not, so long as the blood flows

More intelligence wouldn't necessarily make their situation better, it could even make it worse
Single individuals not conforming the norms among billions of people heavily indoctrinated
They would be afraid of stepping out of line
Even organized rebellion would only work until they see drop pods on the horizon
So aside from plot armor, does the most elite of human soldiers have any chance of taking on the lowest of space marines? Like not including assassins due to them kinda no longer being humans anymore
Like 1 on 1 starting at long range
Or are these like insurmountable forces without help from others
Quite nearly any guardsman of that rank has access to and can fire a plasma and or melta
Or owns a krak grenade
Plasma, hotshot, melta, krak, power weapons can all kill a marine
And regular guardsman can be equipped with those
there is no "aside from plot armor" in 40k
plot armor determines everything.
the closest thing we have to go on is probably unironically the tabletop, and yes a guardsman armed with appropriate heavy weaponry can absolutely kill a basic space marine with a good shot.
or a few good shots, whatever.
they're super-soldiers but they are ultimately just big dudes in armor and humanity has invented a lot of weapons to kill big dudes in armor.
It’s only “bulletproof” or “indestructible” until we make a bigger gun
the question is, how likely is it that said well-armed guardsman gets the time to do enough damage to kill the space marine before he's ripped apart by a bolter round?
^
in a 1v1, the advantage definitely goes to the marine
way faster and speed is king in 1v1s no matter the weapon used
It’s a game of which guy notices the other first
yup
Or which guy is stupid enough to step on that krak mine
hell a guardsman with an AMR gets the jump on the marine odds are said marine isnt gona be walking away
wait does the guard even have anti-material rifles?
that function is filled by weapons like plasma guns and lascannons
maybe a hotshot longlas shot could disable an engine block? idk
they have enough punching power to decapitate a space marine in the gaunt's ghosts novels, helmet and all
Ballistic rifles do exist, but are rare
but those are old books and not everyone agrees with that depiction
is it canon the space marine helmets are the thinest part of their armor over all? i recall hearing that somewhere but cant remember where
Those aren't hot shots
They decapitate plague marines with regular lasguns in book 1
They kill like 3 in relatively short order
well iirc the lasgun hits like a 50 cal so it makes some sense
yeah I just re-read that recently. I thought it was Larkin taking the head off one of them with his longlas, which exclusively uses hotshot rounds at that point iirc
Basically this one no ?
yeah
With how many though?
Cause 50 lasguns focused on one target can pretty much melt through anything
Imagine using your personal vox servitor to send ‘ :) ‘
Would the reviving servitor just smile
Or say the symbols
the vox Servitor reading what i want to send
( it's the most vile words ever known to man )
It will be saying “asterisk exclamation point asterisk exclamation point asterisk exclamation point” for the next 15 hours
when the group vox channel gets leaked to the commissar
imagine the darktide discord as a hive city and the lore chat it's basically one of the deeper levels only inhabited by the most weirdest and whimsical of entities
( us )
Implying I’m not a spire noble
I'm just going to say you're like weird noble who is onto weird stuff way too much, the Ushoran research papers don't lie you know
Literally me
this is me
I would be some intelligence officer doubting the veracity of some of the claims from the battlefield
"So yarrick sent a thousand guardsmen at angron and they used their combined body heat to smother him"
I would be a corpse in a pile
me bringing and forcing ederius to talk in chat
I am totally loyal to the Imperium
My sense of humor never fails to make people confused and worried about my health
I'd probably be executed day one in the guard for taking cool shit i find if I'm going to be realistic
Good conversion idea for Orkz with jumppacks (forgot how unit is called)
Commissar gets shot, I take his fancy chainsword
Stormboyz
The Waffen OrkS
Stormboyz with looted Jumppacks and Thunder Hammers
shush
I call them Electricians
we do not talk about the german origins
Because Soviet Army Electricians also had 2 Lightnings on their helmets
Sturmleute!
I havent read the latest HH stuff yet
How is it?
I'm not going to lie I kind of just got burnt out of HH

I'Z SAID SHUT IT YA 'CRUSTY GIT
You have every single kill animation from DoW for such situations?
nah just for the Warboss
Well, yeah I meant that
just a group of people from entirely different backgrounds doing some banter around a fire
i want to believe that this happens in 40k
I imagine mixed units and different regiments involved in the same conflict would mingle
Trading stories and rumors not unlike what we see in darktide
Crisis in the Grim Darkness of the 41st Millennium! The Imperium of Man has annoyed every other species in the Galaxy so much that nobody wants to hang out with them anymore! Disaster has struck! But the Xenos are all just kind of chilling out and playing Deep Rock Galactic.
Rock and Stone! Et cetera.

Stormboyz was young'unz
Yez, good in a Proppa Foight but a bit wrong in the headz, da 'zoggin lot
theyz finkin deez new-fangled ideaz dat aint so orky but theyz'll grow outta it
Servitor sexting
well some of dem do
I love lady credo she’s such a great character
stop making me want to get into tau
because it's working
wait humans in tau still can use imperial equipment right?
Some do, they also use Tau equipment
Essentially they're equipped as a self defense force until big daddy ethereal comes knocking with reinforcements
Yah
Iirc they have the facilities to produce most of their old shit to defend the world but when there's an actual war on they're given fancier equipment/Tau guns
so you're telling me i can keep printing leman russes AND have cool aliens in my army?
damn i'm super tempted now
but nah i need to keep my valhallan mood going
Vahallan's that worked with tau
although tau do hate orks like valhallans
mmmmh
idk i feel like valhallans would be one of the last regiments to change to xenos
they're pretty loyal
b b but what if an isolated detachment allies with human tau to kill orks
Yes fall to temptation
im so fucking conflicted right meow
A lot of regimental interaction can get very sour, especially during large campaigns where generals and regimental command might be fighting over glory and honor
A lot of cool examples of this in the Gaunts Ghosts novels
Trust me I'm aware, my introduction to 40k was gaunts ghosts
Some more good examples in the hero of the imperium series
Tbh it’s still very well written
it is
but after like 5 books you start to realize that no main character will die
idk why dan decided to write about guardsmen when he clearly wanted a space marine story
If you could get any book va to say anything in a character of your choosing who as who and what
Have you read the book?
lol
which one
Abnett kills of a ton of the main dudes
barely in the ones i read
Then read more before spouting shit
damn ok
Like it’s one of the hallmarks of the series
not from the ones i read i guess
like one character dies and people keep crying about it for 2 whole books
By the end I think there’s like four or five dudes from the original core cast left
And it’s still not done

Unfortunately Eternal is a main character, he will pierce that Leman Russ with a pistol
Rip through that hull with his iron hands
Gaunts Ghosts was honestly a struggle to read through
Wha chapter?
I barely chewed through 3/4ths of the Founding Omnibus and I just found every character to be so boring, when I compare it to some of Dan Abnetts other works like Horus Rising, The End and the Death and Prospero Burns it kinda doesn't hold up for me. He's amazing at creating scenes and atmosphere, but the characters had me struggling to stay awake
Iron hands
They’re popular on tabletop because their rules always end up OP
Every couple edition someone at GW sneaks in good rules for us
Idk who the guy is but bless him
and they are easy to paint
Although I’ve talked about it before I think their chapter theme is easy to work with for good rules
Tough, relentless, vehicle buffs
GW’s strongest iron hands fan
Him and Guymer, holding the line
Also yeah iron hands concept wise will be gold on tabletop assuming they get their rules written that way
It’s the same with eldar
They fundamentally are good
Did you read the Pariah Nexus lore Elite?
They get some fun stuff
Not a ton but I’ll always enjoy the Sisypheum stuff
Meduson gets to be fun for a bit before Kyme shows up
Yeah but your primarch was used to make the emperors children actually sympathetic
Primarchs are for dorks
Primarchs mid (my favorite chapter worships their primarch as a blood god)
Ferrus could have been done better
At least he’s a beast on the table top
I think only Horus Ascendant can reliably take him on? Or used to at least
And lorgar fucking mega brain blast I’m pretty sure
But that was last edition
I have no clue who made lorgar ascended a nutty tier psyker
Oh yeah, what the hell is happening with primaris soul drinkers?
I heard they are not hilariously poorly written anymore
... the soul drinkers got primaris
Some how
I believe so
My biggest complaint is that First Founding was so limited
The lore in that book is so well done
And the art
It frustrates me GW goes so high effort on these art books and stuff and then does such limited releases

As the units refuse to shoot on a flat plane with nothing allied in front of them
So I just heard a voice line for my Veteran where he said, 'Next you'll be saying Grey Knights are real'
On a scale of 1 to 10, how fucking dead is my veteran lorewise for saying that
Basically
“Yes I am excited for the thing I’ve said I’m excited about a lot before.”
OMG GUYS HERESY CONFIRMED
It’s a meme more so tbh but it doesn’t matter much these days
The reason GKs killed dudes was more chaos corruption always
Old lore
very dead
Current lore
Eh it's fine
Not too dead, he hasnt confirmed they are real and is part of an inquisitorial warband.

GK still kill people for seeing big chaos incursions 💀
Thing is you havent seen a gk so your good.
Generally if you’re fighting near a GK you’re fighting near a massive incursion
which is hilarious
Yes I know
Do you
Months of shame get rekt wardians

My point is knowing about them is a minor part of it
The issue was more you probably saw a massive demonic incursion and shit
If you see them you're probably extremely lucky to not already be dead anyway
Thing is we are part of an inquisitorial warband we are "allowed" to know about chaos.
if you are lucky you will just get mindwiped
they did this during that one big war near Metallica
only to Sisters and Marines obviously
Everyone knows these days
sorry guardsman lmao
The issue is what you’re exposed to
Hehehe
What about knowing about the first war of armegeddan.
Are flat dangerous and corruptive
Instant blam
You mean second
And the untrained mind will not react nicely to it
First one was orks
Thought the second and third were orks.
GK have the benefit of being psykers and being knowledgeable on chaos, so they're uniquely placed to actively fight off corruptive shit that gets hurled at them
The First War for Armageddon is the least well known of the three Armageddon Wars, and involved the forces of Chaos and the Imperium. It was the culmination of years of preparation by the Daemon Primarch Angron, favoured of Khorne, to re-unify the World Eaters after their shattering at the hands of Khârn the Betrayer after the Battle of Skalathr...

Is lexicanum wrong?
Armageddoniers can't catch a break
Lives on planet called armageddon
constant wars
are they stupid? just move
That is a very stark difference
I’m looking forward to it, people are still very cringe
Wtf happened
yeah people seeing Cavill as some sort of messiah figure is so fucking bizarre
They did
it's because he's a fucking dreamboat
The space wolves helped a lerge set of them move.
It was always more just chaos corruption
The GKs being a secret wasn’t the biggest deal and most guardsmen would have no idea the distinction anyways
lol true
To them it’s just some Space Marines with weird armor
Can't wait for cavill to be forced to make an eisenhorn show instead of what he wants and do some more of his characteristic 6/10 acting until it nosedives
I would love an Eisenhorn show
also a quick disclaimer, the show is never coming out and it's a psyop to get us all to buy more models
I can't wait for half the fandom to go ballistic over the first non white and or non male character
First black character
Like I’m not expecting it to be amazing but I don’t think we need to be a doomer about it
they're gonna see the black character from the books is black on screen and go ballistic
First Non binary character 💀
IIrc his pilot is black as well as his pilot's daughter
There's gonna be a servitor on wheels instead of treads and the subreddit will catch fire with muh accuracy
I hope they insert marvel level humor into it
the racism of this fandom never ceases to amaze me ngl
💀
BT and Krieg always seem to attract lovely characters
love a guy named Marshal Bohemond calling people "hobby tourists" and "woke" on twitter.
Can exchange racism with a multitude of other things
He is Him-alayan.
remember it's okay cause he's gay or something
LMAO
Him-kardashian!
I think he said that on twitter the other day
Isn't he like 40 too lel
i love how as if being a gay doesn't stop you from being a gatekeeping asshat lol
All I know is I see him EVERYDAY on twitter arguing with other twittoids
Huh, what is happening here?
we're talking about the dregs of warhammer twitter

Real housewives of twitter
40k Twitter Chuds are uniquely prevalent and I hate it
You don’t know me
Real housewives of warhammer twitter is killing me
they should duel on 4chan like men
Lots of finger snaps
/tg has had an iron warriors versus imperial fists thread weekly for 20 years where they all call each other the n word
It's actually insane
why are people like this
cause they all know the lore inside and out but sprinkle in some of the most hateful shit you've ever seen
And it's like GODDAMN
Well, because there are some people who lack attention
The first thing I saw on twitter today was warhammer arguing then drake's dick
lmao
Drake's dick ?
I can imagine some of them trying to apply for the black Library short thing and just getting emails like
"hello Ryan, we appreciate your submission, however we feel the use of slurs to diminish minority groups was in rather poor taste"
An alleged video of drake beating his weenie is circulating on twitter
Dude nothing is more boring than the weekly “guys which faction is the good guy” 40klore thread
Good for him
They all suck, my foot in your ass is the only moral authority
The only moral authority in warhammer is whoever smells the best at the LGS
If you’re trying to justify your dudes in 40k go to some other lame universe
The only good faction are dead
good guy`s... Depends on your perspective
No they all suck
improper use of an apostrophe spotted
Well, yeah
The Interex were the better Imperium
The only perspective is watching my foot travel at Mach 5 to find your ass
No I mean that if you support some faction, you may think and try to convince yourself that they are good
Yes and that’s dumb
And justify their actions
I support dark eldar since their malevolence is comical and they're easy to paint
The Interex were also dumbasses
My Chaos Warrior are the utter trash and in no case good peoples
They suck by rite of being stupid
Everyone is utter trash, that`s the point
Does explain a lot about me
Now let’s all go blow up a kitten puppy orphanage
If you aren`t trash, you cannot go in
They looked at me funny
I won`t waste my time and resources on it
I want Brass Sister Warband/models
Either for Old World or AoS
Okay so update, I went to this dude's profile
Uh, okay, I don`t give a f*ck
and his most recent comment is on a nietzche subreddit
and the other is talking about human supremacy IRL
💀
Huh?
Supremacy on whom?
Of whom
Random question
Random response
Neat, i don't think he understand what usufruit mean
Well he is kinda has a point of view but it`s odd
Hypothetically. If a Chaos God was defeated permanently and killed. What would happen to those who basically have their blessing and such. Like, if Khorne somehow fell. Would all his followers lose their frenzy or something else?
It’s a niche question so if there ain’t lore for it or if it’s a weird question sorry
I guess more so. Is there a way to kind of break free from a Chaos God if you pledge to them?
Chaos Gods can`t be killed to say the first
Probably lose it I guess
And yeah they would loose it
It'll stay as usual, Slaanesh basically is in a coma and still her stuff happn in AoS
or switch God
Slannesh didn’t die in AoS
Coma
