wouldnt melee be like the worst way to fight them?
Especially marines
thats just basic military stuff though, they still dont aimlessly charge in human waves
It depends on if you can hang
Pity the poor blood angel who succumbs to the red thirst and tries to drink a plague marine
Marines are obviously gonna do way better and can abuse DG being slower
The hardier people would hang in their a lot more
It’s like anything else
But it's generally not a good idea
yeah we are basically talking about marines that stink so bad you can literally rot to death before you can even get near them at times.
Not all Death Guard are that dangerous as others
But isnt durability more of a downside since it just means youll suffer more
the deathguard are living examples of that
Nope
What?
The average smell of a warhammer fan
The Death Guard are mostly immune
they welcome plagues, they dont feel pain from it
Like once again you don’t just immediately get sick and start dying when fighting them
Death guard are basically numb to pain
Like you have to hit them really really really hard for them to feel it
no but their origin story is that their legendary resilience was literally a downside
red army lost the most soldiers out of any country in WW2
What
They were being kept alive by Nurgle
damn that transparent background sucks
It didn’t matter
When they became corrupted that is
Yeah and it wasnt entirely from human waves
Mortarion tries to mercy kill his sons and they get brought back
Yeah legendary durability is not a downside
it was because Stalin and his generals were cunts lol
Nurgle was just a prick
during the siege of places like Stalingrad they literally made everyone fight
kids, women, men, elderly, etc
Mortarion was able to handle the pain for eternity but he couldn’t watch his sons suffer for eternity too
So he gave in
He couldn’t mercy kill them
Or he would have literally just go around and killed everyone
it was still the way the red army fought. they did it because it worked. it's not some dumb thing like the movies show hundreds of men walking in open fields towards their death
It was not.
Bro do I like
Read a book
gotta link actual historical documents
Please
Yeah I dont want to be rude but the human wave shit was mainly for stalingrad, and even then it was almost ALWAYS civillians.
literal "who cares if we lose them" people
I’m sure there was some charges and some of the fighting was fucking gnarly as hell in the buildings with hundreds of people dying for single rooms, but it wasn’t like human waves
^
Ohhh boy
The loss of life came more from the fact that Russia had bodies to throw at the grinder
and the fact that for a majority of the war they were on the defensive
The Red Army was pretty fucked for a lot of reasons and was shit to be in but they weren’t stupid as hell
^
Krieg favorite precise infantry assault
what are we even talking about at this point what does human wave even mean
A wave of humans sent into enemy fire
because i just see us agreeing on shit

Basically rewinding back
Anyways
well fuck i didn't think you meant it literally
What did you think a wave of humans is?
Valhallans in lore actually rarely lose full regiments is another thing
idk i thought it was a metaphor for just throwing bodies at a problem
They have a continuous line from back right after the Scouring
So often kids sent to the front will be fighting with their uncles and grandfathers and aunts and so on
And they’ll be using a las rifle that’s been in their families for endless generations
To cut it simple Soviet Tactics involved mass artillery bombardment before the intial attack (if it was possible), than massive assault carried out by Tank Formation with Infantry mounted on them or following tanks.
Actually wait I might be thinking of the Vostrayan Firstborn
But when there were no tanks and arty... Well.....
i think you are
I always get them mixed up
To summarise:
Valhallans use "human wave" tactics because people assume that was how Russia fought in WW2, this was around the mid 2000's and stuff about the war still was surfacing slowly but not frequently enough. Their main inspiration as a regiment was mainly from the movie Enemy At The Gates, where this tactic was glorified to have happened constantly when that was never the case since in reality as me and Eternal said above it was simply just military officials throwing civillians in "normal" or "extreme" firefights as expendable bodies, not to just charge in waves which is stupid and what Valhallans do.
Commissar Chenkov's entire thing is also based on what happens in the movie where they gun down retreating soviets which only happened like... twice in the entire war I think? Otherwise it was just usual hangings or just people not bothering since nobody came back alive half the time since in reality this is a fast way to get fragged.
Anyway after a few years the movie got panned to death by historians for basically getting more or less a lot wrong about the Siege of Stalingrad, so we got more information on how soviets actually fought from other documents and such.
valhallan lore is their planet became a frozen world and they lived harsh underground lives
then orks attacked
now they hate orks
the Fire Nation yes
Holy s*** Dilara wall text
also what I wrote mostly lol
I must save it for the next argument

Yeah, like most NKVD Back Line work was like returning soldiers to the front
^
yeah the movie is stupid i dont disagree at all idk why we were even arguing
I am talking mainly about NKVD involved in backing Red Army forces
Kill em boyz
Also yeah the NKVD were asshats
and thats putting it lightly lol
Because yeah, we don`t want to talk about NKVD doing their stuff outside this spectrum
the commissars in 40k are basically a REALLY exaggerated version of them
the actual jobs of commissars IRL was a lot more "boring"
Damn no wonder people aspire to be like them
The Great Famine slender

"Look guys Stalin may have starved billions but at least our agriculture is good now."
40k Moment
imagine going to war as a political officer
Nah you don`t see the point
He starved bilions to make food for factory workers
and then forced peasants to cooperate leaving them with no land
then again the red army was probably on the verge of taking power if stalin didn't make sure its officers were faithful servants to the party
You should have just turned the factory workers into food much more efficient
YEP. About as worse as old Adolf.
Funny things
it was VERY close
is that
Their economy was on verge of collapse and they had to invent some strict form of free market and private property back for couple of years
Shame Erika is related because i know i'm going to sound insane and probably get me banned but it sounds pretty f****** good
people in the first world dont understand how much power the military could flex on the government if it was unhappy. throughout history it was always a game of trying to please the military so they stayed loyal to you
Stalin actually almost assassinated the head of the army after the war
but guess what he was too popular and it would be too obvious
and lead to a coup lol
||so a coup happened after he died instead||

You hear about penal psychiatric healing (sorry for bad spelling)?
YEP
Dilara did the other wardens have a deal to not enter this realm?
GOOD OLD, If you don`t want to live under communism means you are insane
a coup in russia is like a normal occurence every 10 years
Hmm
Yeah
The current situation in that place is
Questionable
I forget that other places also have events called the great famine and was wondering how Stalin could be blamed for the Gorta Mór.
Whole government system of Russia is One power figure replacing another
This is a shadiversity moment
you can trace it back to even before tsars lols
i dont support misogynists
Well Evgeny wasn`t the smartest one
Mean?
Not want to read the book of Shativersity
So his book is called Shadow of the Conqueror
And like it`s not Soviets who invented them
this stuff was used during Tsar times
The Conqueror being the main character
he does whine about historical accuracy in a fantasy setting a lot
Who was fantasy super stalin who led a revolution that killed all the aristocrats, and then was responsible for the deaths of millions more
Also he's a pedophile and r*pist
Dude him complaining about chaiswords even though he literally didn't know it has monomolecular teeth
Beria and Stalin in one person?
Basically
💀
Damn we are getting pretty philosophical in this one
Eventually someone rebels against him because hey, butchering families and SA leads to discontent
And he goes into exile
deep i like it
napoleon
So he sits as a hermit for like 20 years or something and eventually decides everything he did was unforgivable and he needs to jump off a cliff
(This doesn't stop him from actively justifying himself, he just really hates communists now)
Enoug of that polemic, you are officialy drafted to the 9th Valhallan Regiment
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8fWp-i-BGA&t=6s&pp=ygUaZW5lbXkgYXQgdGhlIGdhdGVzIGFzc2F1bHQ%3D
I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING!!!!!!!!
Credit:
Paramount Pictures
Mandalay Pictures
does the book literally mention communism
Yes
in a fantasy setting
At one point later on he meets a bunch of activists and shouts "Wealth redistribution is theft" before chopping one's head off unprompted and then murdering the rest for good meassure
To tell the truth, I think German Stalingrad from 1993 is the best and accurate historical film you can get...
Mind you he's supposed to feel bad about being a genocidal monster
What are we talking about
Shadiversity's horrible book
It’s probably just a shit book
Yes
That's Shad's intent
We're told for like 5 minutes that he feels bad about what he did and he sulks about it a little
But then justifies every horrible thing he did
Except when it's conveniently political stuff that shad doesn't like
Okay anyway he gets to this cliff right
And he jumps off
Shad's the dude that does all the mediveal videos and stuff right?
does he die and go to heaven
And instead of dying he's returned to the prime of his body with the youthful face of a 17 year old
Also he's given magic religion super powers
No the vague "Light" blesses him and rejuvinates him
He can now judge the objective moral worth of someone and kills them because he deems every other person irredeemable
wat
Yeah
Original version of funny sins-forgiving guy with cool sound effect.
Couldn't find original on youtube, so here it is.
The book has this concept of everyone having some sort of "Light"
The more "Light" you have, the gooder you are
Fantastic book, show me the writer I will talk to him

Shad's character, despite being a serial r*pist and genocidal tyrant, supposedly has the brightest light
does he ever repent for his actions
The fuck
No, he justifies them and continues to butcher random homeless people
The book can be called The Shadow of Serial R*pist
how is this book written by a mormon
Apparently the Light is supposed to be some concept from Mormonism
And that's why he's so bent on him being "repentant"
So like... is it actual hot garbage? It's got 4.6/5 stars. I'm assuming it has some stupid plot points but is well written?
he has a lot of dumb fans
God fuck me
I did not expect him to write some of the dumbest literature i have ever heard in my life
Like any actual review in the comments will note that the main character is horrible lmao
I thought he was only stupid but god damn he is really really f****** stupid
try to find an AI supporter who isn't also a scumbag challenge
okay okay so
Oh so it's like bad bad lol
He gets this youthful body back right
And he then pretends to be his own son
And the next while is just him being a ruthless vigilante butchering everyone he deems irredeemable
Convenient he doesn't count himself despite him doing everything everyone else did on a massive scale
Oh also one of the main characters is one of his SA victims
Since she was his concubine when she was 14 years old
wat
max level victim blaming
I wasn't kidding when I said magic pedophile super stalin lol
is he just poorly portraying grimderp in his setting?
And anyway he's not actually repentant for anything, the chars personality switches between being angry at people for calling him kid, justifying his actions, and acting like an edgy anime protag while he butchers hobos who are in dire straits because of him
HOLY SHIT BY GORK AND MORK'S ASS THAT IS ONE OF THE MOST F***** THINGS I EVER HEARD
and this guy critiques stuff for petty shit
Sounds reasonable, make people live in shit hole because you are d*mb f`ck and than kill them for this
So is shad purposefully writing a dumb shitty character or is he just dumb
Also the end of the book has a ton of his victims go up(He SA'd hundreds of people, and is directly responible for like 28 million deaths)
I think it's a self insert

he also has dog shit world views if you find that surprising
The funniest part of the end is that
Ederius are you mentally all right my guy
How did you even get through the literature of that shit
It's fucking disgusting
The people who he violated and had kids are happy, and forgive him because they love their kids that he gave them
The ones that didn't have kids are portrayed as miserable hags

My god
yeaaa, dude's always just seemedd a bit dstrange lol
honestly sounds like a typical mormon
I'm piecing together what I can find from a ton of reviews
The most consistent complaint is
"Holy fuck why is there so much r*pe"
Apparently it's prevalence borders on fetish territory
Ohhh, yeah Mormons can definitely be weird af. At least the few I've met.
And it's handled with the tact and nuance of a black templars fan
With about as much research
they have very very weird views on the world
... dude used peanut butter for lotion because his hands were getting dry
and it was like what the fuck are you doing
Jesus
They also think their book is like irrefutable because of some text that loosely aligns with some other text from a different time period
like the book of giants or something like that
mormons almost had their own country even
crazy shit
42% of the population of utah are mormons
I knew an ex-Mormon from a bible group I was in.
Emperor is that you
No, there is no light in this channel, at least while the topic of this horrible book is here
Wasn't there another really crappy fantasy book that came out recently from someone who should never write?
Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down
clearly he means warhammer
I heard that Majorkill has deleted the video and is trying to downplay his accusations
Bravest GW loretuber
I pay attention to the lore channel in the first time in forever and I read Shad has a story about faith magic pseudo stalin who has a 14 year old concubine and there is more loretuber drama...
Business as usual
worst part is this is too lore accurate
Considering they literally went to COURT over this in the book i agree
Curious when they’re gonna do a new Trayzn model
And what part he’s gonna take in this civil war
I do like the idea that Imotekh is actually winning partially because he’s playing politics and keeping to tradition while Szerakh is trying to cut through the red tape
Idk why you’d ever think it’s a good idea to make that video
Ego pretty much.
It really was petty
Are jump pack Intercessors part of raven wing?
Mind Over Matter is so so good on Cassia wtf
She becomes tankier than Abelard by just taking that
No, raven wing is for bikes, speeders and aircraft/smaller spacecraft
today was me trying to print a single tank while limping around the house because i pulled a leg muscle
it's too cold up here printing is so hard
Welcome to the grim darkness of the far future. You'll love it here.

you know what's crazy
i spent so many years on the internet not knowing what 40k is
even though references are eveywhere
if i hadnt seen DOW2 in a store way way back i would have been the same lol
My first ever contact for warhammer came from a computer shop dark crusade was the game and the first ever character i picked is none other Good old Gorgutz
Gorgutz is Gorgoodz
So knight pilots
Are they just regular dudes?
Like if a marine catches one outside the suit are they getting their spine ripped out?
This random, unemphasized steam is making me waste like three medikits because the entire party walked through it
And it is right next to something you need to click
Stellar level design
Yes
Probably. Though they have good personal weapons in lore
These guys are part of noble families in knight worlds. They may carry any personal augments a noble would carry and maybe a little more to help themselves with piloting and war effort but they aren't biologically enhanced supersoldier infantries
They can hold their own weight outside the knight with them being trained extensively, having fancy gear and combat experience but even a veteran guard can overwhelm them with them basically being out of their element
My first encounter with the setting is from my space marine fan roommate
I still think ultramarine is a stupid name, ultramar is worse. some jacked up armored group of 100 men being able to conquer a planet is not a fact I can get behind.
it clicked for me after I watched and read helsreach. these guys are sent to places where everything's going bad. a small number of them can change the tide of the battle but it's mostly fought with many forces together and these super soldiers aren't paragon of virtue most of them don't even have decent personalities
i do have some suspicion that the guy who came up with the name was just going haha when he named them Ultramarines, and Ultramar is a later attempt at justifying such a name. And yes it does sound stupid
I think GW was originally way more wacky with the setting with them basically selling plastic toys for kids
grimdark worked and they are still going for fun and ridiculous most of the time but some fans take it way seriously
true, true
the fans take it seriously and they had to keep up, ending up with grimderp for the sake of grimderp
People forget 40k was satire originally.
There's a lot of stuff like that
Like how the Charcharadons are a later change
And they were called Space sharks iirc
And just a lot of goofy name stuff
ah yes, the eldar named eldrad
The elder calling humans "mon'keigh" but it totally has nothing to do with monkeys trust me bro
Fundamentally a society where everyone is constantly in a high risk of death... Wouldn't last 10k years. It doesn't actually make any sense. But the vibes are immaculate.
it only lasts because the emprah wills it
The emperor protects
Still is in fact
I have a lore question, so being entombed in a dreadnaught is an honour for the most decorated space marines in the chapter/legion, what happens if the space marine in question is a junior space marine? Do they still get the dreadnaught treatment? Or is it chapter/legion specific?
Does the chapter master go “nah bro you aren’t getting put in a dreadnaught, we need it for a named, helmetless character”
They won't waste a dreadnought on Brother Petus who was inducted 3 years ago
Maybe if he does something heroic
But typically it's used as a way to preserve dudes important for counsel/cultural/history shit
I get 40k likes taking ideas from other works such as dune and robocop but stealing the idea of putting people into giant robotic suits from five nights at Freddie’s is a bit too far
Well atleast they didn’t steal ideas from …..Freddy Fazbear, because …..Freddy Fivebears was….
is the heavy stubber the only kind of stubber that exists
i havent seen any medium or light stubber
Ah the favorite neighbor of the empire, the Vampires that can tank artillery barrages just like it's breakfast
I swear the developers absolutely hated Karl Franz
The amount of crap he is surrounded by
even the t1 spearmen got 300 kills
I hate unbreakable armies
either you chew through their frontline or they win a war of attrition against you
it's usually fine, it's just that they have 4 full stacks
thank goodness orc infantry absolutely punches through them
1 vampire stack used by the ai is worth jackshit
yeah at least the AI is stupid in that department
but my god watching as my black orks take multiple damage because the enemy just refuses to quit it's both annoying and ******* frustrating, if I had an option to recruit Harry the hammer for an anti undead army I would
But I don't play chaos and I don't have three I only have two
i just found out that this is the vraks equivalent of a heavy weapons team
you must become the bipod
are these black citadel ?
are you talking to bulgur because i have no idea what that means
the models
no i forgot the name
Forge world?
i think you mixed up black library and citadel together lol
but yeah the model is forge world
Yes
It`s Vraks Traitor Militia
They are no longer available
i hate frog worl
You leave frog worl alone
i'll leave them alone when they stop discontinuing the hardest models ever made
Reunification wars terra is a nightmare
The frogs are innocent
nothing stays white forever
they slashed the entire guardsmen and associates range and left cadia only
there's a semi recent post on warhammer community that showcases some custom regiment kitbashes that people have made and what makes me want to cry is that literally all of them utilise cadian parts because that's the only shit you can buy now
the world will start to heal once we get vostroyans and valhallans in plastic
at least solar auxilia is getting some attention
they look extremely good
yeah the new units especially are awesome
can't wait for people to kitbash them into IG
Don't even need to kitbash lol
If the pricing is similar to Mk6/3 marines then it'll be a cheap way to collect guard
i'd go the other way around. you can basically throw all the discontinued guard and militia units together into the militia army for HH
they don't need that much of a touch-up to be guard but they have so many interesting bits
would be a shame not to mix them with stuff
what i really hope is for the new units like the heavy and light sentinels to have rules in 40k
probably wont happen though
They're probably going to be in Legends
Was there ever a blank on equal grounds with the emperor?
As the emperor is the apex of pysker might was there a blank on the reverse kinda deal
this is what happens when you leave 1 ruin
this guy crossed the sea just to sit his fat ass here
Not that we know of
Think of Psychic presence like pressure. Blank being vacuum, less than normal atmosphere, with a hard limit, while normal human are at atmosphere while Psyker are at higher pressure, and don't have a max pressure rate
F*** ruins inhabited by skaven
You want to expand and suddenly there's just a group of rats on the middle of bloody nowhere somehow
yeah but skaven you'd expect them to settle in ruins
not these pagan larpers
fuck norscans
Norscans are just sad
The desperately need a rework but they are also one of the most annoying things to deal with because of how numerous they are
invading their shithole of a homeland is annoying as fuck
Chaos waste and frozen
everyone who hasn't a IQ below 10 starts to take attrition
At least when i'm playing green skins and i somehow on to get rid of them i can just hit raid camp stance
But when you're the other factions
Boy
Good luck if you don't have a movement gimmick
Lore accurate 🤓☝️
"I cant believe my army is taking attrition while literally travelling through a eldritch snowy wasteland"
Raiding camp stance is goated
It does give chaos players longer to fight the other chaos factions at least
The order tide is coming, are you prepared?
their infantry is shit and they smell, literally chaos from wish
Yeah but are they fast enough to dodge goblins that decided to pledge their allegiance to the empire of the rising sun?
Me playing a fast flank based faction when I encounter a faster flank based faction (i will lose a 30000 gold investment in this army and hero’s)
Atleast mammoths and dragons fuck though
Undisputed heavyweight champ
Where there's a whip...
Da Big'un would like a word
p sure a rogue idol will shit on a mammoth in melee
Orc power creep lol
not just orc
dlc
dlc powercrept
(but tbh a rogue idol should shit on a mammoth)
I will send more mammoths
Yeah both are classified as super heavy
There are always more mammoths
Ikit claws still being a skaven must have speaks truth of this
You can't play skaven without having him
His range potential that he just brings to the table is nuts
I’m more a dwarf fan, hope their next dlc is good
Chaos dwarfs just being better stat wise then dwarfs
Agony
Yeah they are not on the worst of positions but they need a bit of a boost
Bro the new mechanics introduced with them
They are practically the most devastating range army in the game
Blunderbusses dread mortars
empire, dwarfs, vampires, lot's of game 1 factions need attention
Yep
Also chaos dwarfs have monsters that cover up literally all the of the regular dwarfs weakness
They are dwarves but they don't have the weakness of dwarves but better
Units that are stronger at holding the frontlines
Better range artillary
That they can somehow attach to a a train to make it faster and give it extra melee
And actual cavalry
Which is more important
Yeah but they still retain some of the toughness
An infernal Ironsworn can hold the line just as better as an iron breaker
Then you add the fact that the range units
they literally have the same leadership
Absolutely s*** on everything they decided to pick as the target
and 4 more melee defense
Even ikit will get a rundown for his money on the range game
comparing dwarf warriors and chaos dwarf warriors
Pain
so they are even better at tanking than regular dwarfs
and they have 8 more melee attack
holy shit
Like they can strap an iron demon to a dread quake mortar and have an artillery piece that is just as good in melee
Real statistical power creep
What the f*** is that
You're not supposed to be able to give artillery the ability to go to toe with a monster in melee
a chaos dwarf warrior is like 200 gold more
The ai don’t seem to care
Man the fact that they can just send their artillery as melee units is the fuckin worst
Artillery is not supposed to be that busted
ofc the ai doesn't care
God fighting chaos dwarfs as Boris is the worst
it doesn't interact with the economy like the player does
Boris is a beast but their units rip apart my bear cav
And kiselv units don’t compare to dwarfs
Haven’t used shadow of change so that might have changed
The ai sucks at using the the factions mechanics
Which is both a blessing and a curse
Dwarven airship for their dlc?
that's why they gave it ultra cheats
because it doesn't know how to use anything but sheer weight of numbers
i mean, it doesn't even know how to do that properly
it's just harder to beat when there's billions of them
Yeah the ai needs some serious work even on higher difficulty
Me watching the orc factions hit me with 4 full stack armies with full waaagh at turn 15
And god, vlad
Can’t keep a bat down
Yeah WAAAAAGGGHHH is absolutely fun when it's you who is on the wheel
But when you're on the receiving end of it
Not so much
I think my worst experience was when the slaughter orc raided my empire playthrough and wrecked the place all the way to altdorf and then attacked me and I barely held the line in the multiple sieges before they ran out of steam
Then the tzarina came through the stolen empire lands and conquered half of the empire
Azhag huh
And I couldn’t declare war on her and take it back without the world hating me
Yeah he is a pretty potent spell caster and a pretty good melee fighter too
He killed festus at least
I saw 3 armies just walk into his fort and next turn he was gone
Did you at least
Strike up a trading deal with them
Nah I made a new save, I wanted all of the empire
Yeah i would have done that as well
I would really like to play warhammer 3 but eh
I can't be arsed with the price and ca
Empire is more fun then I thought though with allies
It's basically a whole new hobby in of itself
Befriending the French, dwarfs, wood elves and Kislev then just go ham
The bretoian king was forever locked into sending meat to the grinder fighting belakor for like 40 turns
Was fun to watch
Yeah shame karl is basically surrounded in like every angle
So if you f*** up real bad you can get sent to the moon
What do you guys think about this gun? This is the Reaper autopistol
Suitable for the game?
I feel like the mag is kinda small
Ripper pistols use armor piercing toxic rounds
And our nurgle enemies inhale poison like it's cocaine
Venom won't do much against some of the enemies
Wow, you're right. May then make bleeding or heating stucks?
I guess you can have it as type of shredding Ammo because it can use a variety of rounds
But it is also quite an expensive weapon it would seem
Rogue traders in particular are very known to use this thing
Oh wait scratch the replace the ammo part
It's only designed to carry the very potent venom
Expensive? Isn't a bolter expensive?
Not really
Logistically they are pretty much everywhere and we are using a caliber that is weaker than the ones a space marines uses
^
So ours would be a lot cheaper

This pistol is specifically designed to carry a venom so potent it can kill an elephant in a single shot
It's so good that it's job that rogue traders and even Sly Marbo favors this weapon
So i don't think it will get into the game because it's basically a gimic weapon
Venom is not going to do much against the shit we fight on a regular basis
but it doesn’t have to be poison, you can put something like poison for Nurglitoa in there, for example “soap”
Soap won't do anything to Nurglite
How do gray knight pyskers compare to thousand sons pyskers?
It's just an example
Bleach will
Ripper autopistols can only use the round their specifically made for
So it will have to be the venom
Ripper Pistol and Neddle weapons basically aren't really used for main combat but rather Assassination and stuff
So sure it can work, but honestly why bother
Our main enemies are also nurgle worshippers

When will we ever fight Slaanesh worshippers
They would be very very resistant to toxins and chemicals
Or Tzeentch goons
Sm2 will have tzeentch
I do think that Darktide should expand toward the 3 other cults rather than GSC or another xenos
I wouldn’t mind a Blood cult that worships Khorne.
Ragers have never been that big of an issue for me. It’s just when I get a no special condition assignment that for some reason Wolfer decided to release his Crusher Platoon and you see 15 of em chase you down all at once.
looks at said crackheads
Wolfer: “those guys are dorks.”
Zola: “yes, but they’re my dorks.”
Do Eldar psykers have the same random problems as human psykers?
or are they more stable overall
Seeing as they want to keep games for more than 5+ years and want to have a live service approach, I think it's not to big tbj
Stabler but still at threat of the dame things.
Better taught for the most part
longer lifespan helps a lot too
So I read up the lore on the warp and how it used to be much nicer a long long time ago. Would it ever be possible to "pacify" the warp and have it revert back to its docile state
You think the xcom aliens would fit into 40k?
It's possible
with the help of "mass genocide of all life"™️
take the necron pill
most likely not, its like fixing the imperium sure it could happen but it is highly unlikely
and frankly its a lot easier to fix the imperium than it would be the warp i think
Well if everyone had your attitude maybe the warp would just give up
we just need to release pokemon go again
more stable, but if they really decide to "go wild" with their powers they explode even harder then human ones
they explode even harder then human ones
Has a dark eldar ever had post nut clarity and go "this is fucked up"
Eldar have evolved further than humanity has. They are biologically more stable than human psykers

BUT yes, since they reach higher heights as a given they also have bigger booms
An eldar has never exploded from using too much psyker stuff
minus the Eye of Terror incident

Arnt eldar genetically engineered bythe old ones to use warp power too?
Yeah basically.
Also yes lots of times.
Dark Eldar don't have to be way they are, they can leave their life behind if they want to.
the issue is this is like telling a crack addict to stop using drugs 💀
I saw a video of a drug addict in LA thanking God for fentanyl because it stopped him from using meth 💀

But basically yeah just
"You can stop this any time."
"Yeah but I don't want to lol."
Is there a story like that in 40k?
would be interesting to see a dark eldar trying to have a new life
Yeah there is
Ynnarie are in part that no ?
Yeah but this defection thing has always been a thing since the Path books.
The Ynnari thing is just a more Cola Reboot™️-esque idea wise
A Farseer or a powerful Eldar psyker can give you a soulstone of your own if you are a drukhari and save your soul but you gotta go through a mindbending vision-trip and accept/persevere through every evil decision or fucked up stuff you made in your previous life
If its too much you'll just have your heart stop and die

they should probably fix that
oh they re-experience it all?
I wonder why vect doesn’t like them

Basically yeah.
its to make them more or less psychically "repent"
which in this case is the correct thing to do
because yeah they dont exactly start as good people lol
are there any guard regiments that are inspired by any historical period of the french military
no
weird
krieg
idk vostroyans arent modelled after any particularly popular IRL historical military
the kussaks or however you call them?
the fuck is a kussak
Cossack*
Aren't Ventrillian based on some old French uniform, Dragoon or something
you'd think napoleonic french would be at least some obscure regiment since that was literally the name of the military era
Or they just had too many regiments already that nobody was buying.
not models i mean
i'm talking about the shit ton of regiments that are only mentioned in lists
Nada.
what more can i expect from a british company

i found this pretty cool heavy weapons squad inspired by a french artillery cannon
i could probably fit it in with valhallans since IRL the russians definitely bought some french stuff
Do the 2 counts ?
Napoleonic Dragoon (Example)
Ventrillian Noble
Pyran Dragoon
The Pyran Dragoons' distinctive look is based upon the elaborate uniforms worn by Great Britain's Life Guards, the senior regiment of the British Army. Just before the Restoration of King Charles II to the English and Scottish thrones in 1660, a Royal Mounted Bodyguard was formed in Holland from 80 Royalists who had gone into exile with Charles after the Battle of Worcester in 1651. Membership was originally restricted to the British gentry and nobility, and accordingly they had no non-commissioned officers; their corporals were commissioned, and ranked as lieutenants in the rest of the army. This state of affairs persisted until 1756.
Well, that's embarassing
idk im not that well versed in french military history but it can be hard to tell due to the fact that everybody copied the french in that era
well everybody copied eachother
like usual
americans copied the british so hard right after they got their independence
so heavy bolters are used by guardsmen right
they also have heavy stubbers and autocannons
i was trying to figure out why use the heavy bolter over these cheaper options and i think i have an answer
heavy bolters are essentially the same as modern day automatic grenade launchers
Explosive rounds in lighter package iirc (Compared to Autocannon)
im guessing that bolters have less range than autocannons so the arc of the shell can be used against targets
so anyways why am i saying this
because when you make a grenade launcher automatic it becomes 10x more cool
also i have found really cool valhallan proxies that replace the heavy bolter with a maxim gun
i love how you can tell what's supposed to be a bolter by its muzzle
lmao literally a maxim gun
I'm still kinda new to wh40k lore, what's the deal with people calling tzeentch "zeench" or "tits-nich?" I assume zeench is the right way to pronounce it, but I feel like other have a teson to pronounce his name the other way
Zinch/Zeench yeah
theres no reason to spell it any othe rway
I don't think I've ever heard "tits-nich?"
thats a meme majorkill started awhile ago lol
Oh
Seems pretty common so I didn't think it was him that started it but I guess he is pretty popular
with the tiktok crowd sure
imagine a commissar chasing after you on a sled
also
the names these proxy modellers come up with are an endless source of entertainment
i've seen leman russ being pronounced in several dozen forms so far
40k Universe is big enough to have anything be plausable
You cant convince me there isnt some UwU Psyker-chan out there spouting memes and anime catchphrases as she explodes things with her mind
I've been playing necromunda hired gun recently; and it made me develop a headcannon for the loose cannon veterans out there...that one day they decided to jump ship off the mourningstar and go to necromunda and become hired guns for the gangs.

I am not monetizing this, I just really like the scene.
I just imagine after my guardsmen boi Hank; finally getting trust lv30 and clearance to the hangar bay, that he just hides away on a resupply vessel and just dips. He then spends the rest of his days as a gang leader on necromunda
he'd have to go pretty far to get to necromunda
necromunda is I think the middle of segmentum solar while tertium is on the outer edges of segmentum obscuris
It is possible he could've made it. All he needs is a lucky warp jump, and to just keep himself sane during it.
fair
In Hank's mind; he'd rather take the chances to get ass-fucked by daemons in the great void, than be forced to fight them on a doomed planet. Doesn't matter how important Tertium is; he's gonna be gone, fist chance he gets.
The creator is making non-40k stuff on his patreon since then too 💀
The wild guess a lot of people had is he basically did the work on 1-2 Astartes animations, gave them to GW, then just left.
because the sus thing is he was making SO MUCH more money than GW was ever going to give him when he got hired
the fact that its been radio-silent since then and how almost every WH+ show has sucked a ton kinda drives that point home
now hes just not doing 40k content at all anymore prob due to NDA
Tbch I think astartes 2 might just be taking forever to make?
I seriously doubt it
high budget GW animations tend to be short and this guy is way too talented.
Beyond it just taking a while by default they probably have to deal with company bs lel
On the topic of GW stuff that disappeared
Remember the night lords animation they teased
And the Imperial Knights one
And WH40K: The High Lords
Blacktalon was fine
I should probably try watching interrogator some day
Pariah nexus was great except the space marines

So how do primarchs function with necron beam weapons that just atomize you? Would a good hit just end them immediately or what?
Or is there some sort of tools that can prevent that aside from plot armor lol
It takes a bit for beam weapons to eat through thick armour
And flavour text generally doesn't translate to practical effectiveness
By practical I mean plot relevant effectiveness
Funky
Yeah, so they can melt a tank
But a plot relevant character, never
At least while they are still needed to progress the story
Main characters are protected by the power of friendship
And Plot
💀
Hate this stuff
I mean look at the trailer for 9th, a sister stops the necron beam from disintegrating her with prayer and faith
Just believe harder than the disintegration
Lost Legion got shafted hard by GW too
one of the members made a dummy account on reddit whistleblowing some stuff before deleting said account
YEP
I wonder why all those projects turn out not very good
Let's do positive stuff and recommend cool community artists
NO, THERE IS ONLY GRIMDERP

i think the most surprising thing in all this is that GW has a military expert on their team
And the fact that he basically understood nothing about military stuff and was more or less harrassing the team to change stuff for no reason
How did the warhammer fan get into the team bro
is there a lore factoid that prevents me from sticking an autocannon onto a leman russ as a pintle mount
If yall haven't seen it.
More reason to like Abelard
Giving Abelard a Leman Russ just seems overkill at this point. Hell probably take on some Chaos Titans and win
You can just say that that leman Russ came from like a very low resource and not so advanced forge world or something
You can basically mount any weapon on a lemon Russ as long as you adjust it on the right size
with some exception of course
Forgot there’s not a meme channel here anymore
i think as an ork you can understand my desire to put as many large, loud and angry weapons on my tank
yes
that is why instead of mounting a puny heavy stubber i will put an autocannon
maybe two
or three
Real
cool artwork though. hadn't seen that before
definitely a representation of the Revelation short story
Once again Lorgar was right
Will never understood why the Emperor blew up monarchia and then in golden armour with a legion of superwarriors at his beck and call said "lorgar I'm no god dummy lmao"
He told the truth and they hated him for it
Real
I love lorgar man I'm a bearer of the word man
In a perfect world I'd be the cultist that follows the dark apostle around carrying his grimoire for him
yes
why the hell are dark elves in Order
because they hate chaos
and like real life alliances sometimes you gotta have awful people on your team
yeah for example how mod team in DT discord needs to have Dilara as a warden
AAAA
damn forced to play with the Knife Zealot
order got it rough
still better than all the old DE models in Cities of Sigmar
even if it's hilarious to see someone fielding executioners reinforced by fucking phoenix guard
Ohh yeah this is surprisingly fun to listen to
Shame it doesn't come in book form
Also Order needs somone to fill the "fucked up this week" quota and they were the best offer.
This isn't a shock
It's like how her favourite companion is Marazhai
(I have no source for this)
no it's true

Draws you as imperiumjack
Lactose free latte? No, mon-keigh.
"Shit yourself."
You once were a Vegon, now you will be gone
I cast twist of fate
Domain Expansion: become a Grimdank member
do you think eldar have starbucks on their craftworld
Biel-Tan basically uses starbuck's color scheme
they don't just have starbucks on their craftworlds. THEY ARE THE STARBUCKS
Eldar basically have everything on their craftworld.
Its a mix of a cruise ship + basically anything you could want in a utopian world-ship.
I feel this belongs in lore https://youtu.be/HNEzD5n6SAs?si=yPobY7TDcSNtS-58
here's the audio source
The imagery of a bone singer singing despacito to build a hot dog stand is hilarious
It’s not out of the realm of possibility for Big E to behold humanity’s intellect in any aspect, no matter how big or small, so yeah
Except for the fact that we got no evidence of Lemons being man-made.
so him being completely wrong fits to his character even more lol
🍋
Indeed. He probably brought up as another argument towards Uriah in the Last Church
Pretty fucked up.
uh.. yah.. that. I just thought it was funny.
i feel like the emperor's voice sounds exactly like markiplier
in my brain that is
I thought he sounded like skarsnik
him constantly talking to "the chat" 💀
But then again that would be an insult to skarsnik

Cannibal space marines disapprove.
space russians have no opinion on this issue
DA BOYZ SAID "FOOD I'Z FOOD" AZ LONG AZ IT'Z EDIBLE
Woah a suppressed bolter?
Yeah and hungey marine.
Stalker bolters
In that case a stalker pistol
It can fire normal bolt rounds but ideally you use stalker rounds which are just slugs basically
If you wanna be sneaky beaky
ME FR TOO
The only meat I eat is white meat, which I rarely do anyway
But I love cannibalism or meat obsessed factions
Kroot , flesh eaters, any cannibalistic space marine chapter
You ever play kenshi
One I posted was mortifactors chapter
Eating you
Hey guys where is Corax in the current setting?
We don’t know
His last appearance was 10,000 years ago
There’s some hints he’s still visiting Deliverance and the Monestary but it’s not confirmed, and he’s never been spotted doing so if he does
he's playing poker with all the other missing primarchs
i really dont get what the point of discarding all the primarch was but then again i only started knowing about 40k during 8th edition
Their age was done and they had no reason to stick around, making them into a mythical status was for the better.
It makes a lot of sense in many aspects.
Now they are coming back tho because money lol
Because the setting was basically the same for like 40 years
It only changed and advanced super recently
The primarchs were background and history with some vague legends of some returning or some coming back when stuff got real but it was always one stroke from midnight for decades. Heresy series popped off and GW has started adding them back.
Although the daemon primarchs have mostly been back always or been there just without models and only a few were referenced much for big events

Spirit of Profits has entered the chat
Now, you must continue the cycle, for our corporate overlords
Tbf Guilliman coming back was part of what saved the setting, in general the big push around that time was a huge turnaround for the franchise. There’s a reason they waited 40ish years and only did it when they needed a Hail Mary.
Shit was bad at the end of 7e I believe it was
But still Hive Fleet Leviathan is on its way
I mean yeah they’re not gonna end the setting. Plus it never went away really.
beyond based
Nids are never gonna win, they exist to be the faction whose a big scary mass everyone else can shoot a lot
guys nid primarch when 😏
They basically got that with the new big boy
Orks, necrons, imperium, and elves or whatever combining to shoot a big friendship beam at the tyranid fleet
i put my printer upstairs where it's only 3 degrees hotter and suddenly my prints are pixel perfect
i can finally finish my leman russ
only took me like 3 weeks

lighting a blunt to celebrate
Are chain axes actually weapons that are used within the guard?
We don’t see them typically but yes
Chain swords are much more common in depictions
Swords in general tend to suit normal humans better it seems
Chain axes for Space marines require a bit more finesse and strength to use I guess.
But guard chain axes do exist
chainsword have the whole regal cavalry look
which is why i think you mainly see officers use chainswords
axes have that brutal look
The chainaxe is an ork ahh weapon
Is there any lore or story of a psyker going mad because they keep scrying the future and keep trying to get the "perfect" outcome?
Because they look into the Warp.
You know, the dimension where literal daemons that wanna eat your soul live.

well yeah
but i mean
not necessarily from the demon stuff
but the obsession of the outcome
Have you watched any movie with that same premise.
sorta like the trope where a timer traveler keeps traveling back in time to fix something but becomes an endless loop
the future is fickle and imagine something going wrong every time you think its set right.
Repeat a thousand times, it will drive anyone insane
slaanesh
thrive for perfection
that's your best place to look for a story
Perfection or Delusion?
They seem delusional if they think they are perfect.
If everything was perfect it would be boring.
So no I do not want to achieve perfection.
that's not what i said. they strive for perfection to an extreme degree
Perfectionists be like.
There is no perfection, the flaws of things is what makes them interesting. Hence why it's impossible.
who knew the literal chaos god slaanesh feeds on unhealthy desires
i have a question. is it possible for a member of one chapter or legion to join an entirely different chapter?
does this happen in the lore?
Yes successor chapters exist.
no i mean like lets say a grey knight is saved by salamanders as a last standing member of a squad. and decide to join. is that a thing?
not like sub-chapters
They were all broken up into smaller legions, after the Horus Heresy so yes.
So
grey knight? would have to be one hell of a reason
just an example
But they're weapons, so repurposing space marines isn't a bad idea. Logistically it's more cost effective.
There were the IF who had to be rebuilt with their successors
im talking like.. individual people. or just very few small groupings joining a larger scale chapter or legion. not forming an entire new successor chapter
yeah exchanges usually happen only in very dire circumstances
The only probable one is Successor Chapters offering their Marines to their parent Chapters sometimes for replenishment in an emergency.
Otherwise Chapters are too exotic/distinct culture wise to ever do such a thing, you'd basically be entirely an outcast and thats the last thing a Space Marine can put up with.
The most infamous example was the Lost Primarchs Legios being broken up and being added to the Ultramarines during 30k but this was EXTREMELY covered up, aside from that its never been a thing.
it would be like leaving your family for another one
The Lamenters are a great example.
^
its literally incredibly alienating
you are not a part of their culture or homeworld at all
LOST PRIMARCH LORE
so what i am getting from this is that it is a thing. but its very rare and only happens under specific events or wierd circumstances
Yeah and has basically happened like once or twice in lore
All Space Marines have different motives, and beliefs. So, their battle brothers of their legion are more similar to them.
At least they have similarities of beliefs in their chapters.
under your example, no space marine would willingly want to abandon their chapter like that. especially a grey knight
its the same reason Primaris were so weird
they didnt want them because they arent a part of where their Chapter is from
Not even the Blood Angels liked that.
one Black Templar crusade ended up murdering an entire continent of BT Primaris reinforcements
💀
what is a primaris marine in comprison to a none primaris?
Basically
imagine you got a family
marketing
and you get a new brother you never knew
Sanguinis dying messed them up.
tabletop wise they have more wounds
and hes suppose to be "better in every way"
Long lost sibling you never seen.
thats what they see them as
but they arent different in power or size?
oh nvm lol
they're larger and have better equipment
Yes they're stronger then normal.
so primaris are the bigger better improved ones?
