Younger Psyker are usually kept cause they have more potential to be used. The one sent to the throne and astronomicon are the old and the infirm
As anything in imperium, you don't have much of a choice in any way. You get to have a talent much people know nothing about. No support network, no training. Maybe you can manage just fine and become a gang boss or sth by yourself, or get mad and broken, end up as a chew toy for demons or get yoinked by a black ship, it's just combination of circumstances with you have little control of
Best case scenario is probably having a hidden talent like eisenhorn or sevatar. Huge advantage with little drawbacks
The worst on Necromunda are still the Psykana Syndicates and the Psyker Menageries
do space marines even deliberately recruit young psykers to be librarians, i always thought psyker powers took a while to manifest and if they see signs of it among their initiates then they put them on the librarian career track essentially
grey knights would be the exception since they are all psykers
Librairian are made by the Psykana then given to SM Chapter normally
I see crabs in the chat. I take it that slaanesh is involved?
slaanesh is ALWAYS involved
is jaghatai still in a coma after his duel with mortarion or did he eventually go awol into the webway
because as per the new horus heresy lore he goes into a coma right?
@green loom lol
Found my post did you
The Emperor assisted Malcador in stabilizing him, and he was going to recover
Just not before the siege ended
Hadn't even noticed, though now I recognise the art style
ah I see, so he does go awol eventually ig
Which we can probably assume he did, it’ll probably come up if they’re gonna do Scouring books
something tells me they will
The last siege book doesn’t really address the fallout
So I imagine there might be a couple books on a few key events
Second founding, Iron Cage, Caliban
I'm hoping this won't be another Kais meme
Where I get like 5000 upvotes
Because then I'll just be depressed
i'm using so much resin trying to get the best looking leman russ possible
i now understand why most GW fans dont print
but i still dont get why people decide to pay 100$ for like 10 small models
I need to commit organ trafficking to build an army of iron jawz and gargants
why tf did erebus even kill loken
even abaddon is like " loken bro its all cool you can leave"
and erebus just shows up and stabs him in the back while the man is chilling next to horus's corpse
Idk it makes no sense Erebus was such a nice and reasonable dude until then who would never backstab anyone

The ||real ||Erebus was
Kharn is such a swell guy
not when sigismund demolished him he wasnt
Aside from combat and navigation, what are some other more mundane ways warp energy is used?
As a battery source
But finding a way to harness the warp into a generator is suicide
Considering how volatile it is in nature
Copy paste Argel Tal
Healing, divination, transport
Investigation
How cool is sanctioned psyker origin in Rogue Trader? Because it looks like it would be awesome with all of the different trees
pretty fun
you have alot of choices
Looking into the biomancy one because it makes sense for the player character to be support/leader in my eyes
That can work using biomancy to make your physical characters into walking tanks
Abelard off the psychic blicky
you can also try making a biomancy fighter
Yeah psykers are extremely flexible with the choices you can provide with your team
Im building a self immolate bio/pyro melee assassin for my heretic run
I haven’t bought it yet because u heard is a buggy mess. I might wait like a year lol
Does this mean I'm supposed to attack an ally for the "Allied Target" bonus?
Sounds very odd
Or is that a funny way of saying it's an additional bonus to the Enemy Target one
Effect changes on who you target
So if you have an allied npc like a guardsman, you can pop him in the back of the head
character finished his story arc therefore he dies
i've seen so many authors do this and say "but it fits the moment so well!"
I mean it does.
people just cannot deal with the fact that villains can win lmao
Erechad stays winning
the problem with erebus is he always wins
Nah.
He does evil shit and sometimes gets his ass beat.
thats his character lmao
hes basically a Decepticon that does his job well, so people hating him is a very pointless affair
i don't have a problem with loken dying per se but this was just a really dumb way to kill him off imo
like send him fighting into demons and die that way. not some greek tragedy bullshit
Idk ı laughed.
and this is about as generic too
he sure does
Again i dont know why everyone has to has some epic heroic last stand
Loken was never a huge player in the Heresy to begin with
hes just there to say his catchphrase
i thought that was the entire point of this book
not really
even the Emperor gets fucked up
and literally loses like 5 times
and has to pull a magic bullshit trick each time so Horus doesn't beat his ass

the horus battle is so funny
Its literally a comedy sketch
i guess abnett realized that describing the battle in words wouldn't do it justice
at least it means we wont get an emperor model
i think this is one of those few instances where GW wont do it even for the money
i can guarantee you that 90% of model people would buy an emperor the millisecond it came out
GW does everything for money.
so if it happens i wont be surprised
Horus literally got 2 models now because his old one was playdough quality
same with Fulgrim
Breaking news: GW bio engineers real life ork to beat up complainer about figures for money
GW sends actual vindicator assassins to your location if you print a trademarked model
do you think abnett will retire from black library after this
feels like the perfect moment to stop
I bet they send a Callidus assassin to take advantage of the peoples simping weakness
hes not going anywhere anytime soon
oh right writers keep working until they die
and he's like 75
I'm still trying to get my hands on the sons of behemat audio book
Because the sample audio sounded pretty crispy
But you know no luck so far
i wonder if the next "big thing" will be a book series or GW is going to switch fully to tv shows
It's honestly safer to stick to books
Tv shows are incredibly a lot more hit or miss
do books still make that much money?
Then you add the part that are special effects and finding good actors
I mean look at space marine fan number 105
Yeah they are definitely making money still
yeah that's why i'm thinking that they might switch the book money to tv show money
currently they're doing all that hard tv show stuff while hiring expensive writers to do books
another thing i wonder is if their future plans will always involve tabletop being the main income
Anytime soon they will probably not diverge from table top
yeah true
Literally the entire reason this whole universe of war is standing is because plastic crack is available
That's why it needs a lot of god damn attention
i havent been in the know for years like other 40k fans but it does feel to me like GW is diversifying
They are definitely trying some new things in old world
Pretty sure the community and GW is fairly inclusive
But of course their habits
Still die hard
Like you will not stop them from producing space for a model number 100 for the 50th time
Oh wait. Diversify your portfolio and not diversify your community
After all armored money bags the one that brings in people
Yeah they're just pumping out more licenses for video games, shows, etc
Early 2000s had 0 other media and whatnot besides minis and some books
no i mean diversifying their assets lol
3D printing is also costing them money
So it's probably a smarter business decision to start focusing on other business strategies to not die out to printers
3d printing is a very small issue
yeah 3d printing is surprisingly not that much of an income drain it seems
but that could literally change at any time
For now. A competitor can always pop up as a cheaper alternative because they let you print their models
im sure GW knows how precarious the situation is with their model prices
Because tabletop is ridiculously expensive when printing is so much cheaper
Imagine if a company or just a band of fans decide to make a new type of tabletop game that you could print
that's the thing, you can pay printer companies to do all the work for you at a much lower price than GW models. i think it's still a case of people not knowing yet
from what i've noticed tabletop players are fairly old
they might legit just not care enough yet
Because young people don't have money 😎
true!
when (not if) GW prices increase we might see more people doing the print option
at least i hope GW realizes how much they're relying on older players
Probably why they're giving away more IP licenses
Really hard to compete with a TV show
Thanks, Henry Cavill
yup
a popular tv show would make a relatively niche thing like 40k into a mainstream IP
And sell more models
And if properly executed
yes a lot of factors are involved
Can really bring an actual people to learn
if the show is too nerdy most people will click off
For example one successful board game story literally adopted into a very unjoyable animated show is vox machina
It's enjoyable enough that you can get into it without knowing too much about dnd
yes i was literally about to say D&D lol
So if they can pull it off
it went from being a game for nerds to a cool thing
Alternatively, you have things like arcane
Television and shows are just a medium
I need Blank back, I want to argue about those again
Lmao he left for the most weirdest reason too
Speaking of missing people i wonder how Monsi is doing
Been a while since i saw him
I used to call his space marine gary the custodian
I wonder what would a kroot book be about
Maybe contemplating their existence about the greater good
It's just the story of a kroot in his experience fighting for the greater good
Would be pretty fun
Right, he disliked the melee heavy gameplay
Yeah and he said he'd just be leaving because of it which is uhhhh okay lol
I can respect that at least, not like some people who don't like the game and still haunt the forums and all
the Dilara witch hunt attempt incident
That was quite something wasn't it
POV you got mulched by world eaters one too many times
honeslty just a western novel in 40k woul dbe perfect
Aye you be speaking facts
who would the antagonists be?
kroot cant eat tau, necrons (well they can but its considered a terrible idea), tyranids, and chaos
a csm would be neat
or maybe just an astra miltiarum fucker
liek catachan
why is fs giving away a displate dt poster featuring armor that isnt even in the game
A kroot deserter that decided to eat tau?
Riot can cook lore
If they want a kroot book could have the antagonists be the imperium
They definitely can
should i build my flesh eaters or truth seekers
Flip a coin
heads for stormcasts tails for flesh eaters
McNeil writing the Void and Darkin lore is still so good
oka flesh eaters time
I love the Darkin as a concept
Yeah nafiri was lit
The solution to dealing with corrupted immortal Demi gods is to shove their soul into a weapon
One of the best interpretations of a fear demon literally exist in league
I love fiddlesticks
My god I love Fiddlesticks
Kindred, Fiddlesticks, The frejliord spirit gods
Okay, that's scary.
Fun part is that fiddlesticks can “teleport”
The only reason they draw it out is to feed on more fear
Also the fact that it’s smart and knows to take advantage of places that are already under civil unrest
The way it speaks
Fun fact
The voice actor was f****** crazy
No filter
And the fact that it's just voices that it heard
Literally the sound of animals are also copied
Yeah it loves parroting stuff
Yeah the ult sound effects are pigs squealing
And a dog whimpering iirc
This is the voice for the new champion, Fiddlesticks in English.

La cretura
Kindred is prolly one of my favorite interpretations of death
The whole duality of accepting it vs. running from it
The i'm still here cinematic of them fighting Tryndamere was f****** amazing
It’s great
Trying to take the life of a guy that cannot die
Yeah their entire job is taking life but they're fighting something that has rage so potent to the point that it heals
Wonder what Lambs arrows feel like when they hit lol
We know that wolf just fucking mauls you to death
And it’s super painful lol
Probably peaceful
Prolly
A quick painless death
Kindred crashing a performance about them for both their color stories is still funny as hell
And both times it ends with all the actors dying
kindred is only going to do its job after all
most the time you don't see them they just take your life
Yeah
Which is rather comforting at least
It’s rare to be able to see them
Wolf mauls people like a Pitbull named princess
Yeah and lamb gives people cuddles like a pitbull named Gore hunter the god slayer
Lol
Ain't no way bro looked at the personification of death and Said, smash next question
Wonder what’s under the mask
We’re never gona get an answer
But it’s def not a normal face lol
Dream
Good luck with that
Lol
Why are there two of them
Question, who here believes there’s no such thing as a stupid question/gen
Because I have a (possibly) stupid question
So I have OCS that are also my classes in Darktide, and I’ve been day dreaming all day at work about how they could possibly end up in The Age Of Sigmar, I/E Vermintide and meet the U5
I told you it was stupid 💀
The U5 aren't in AoS, they are in the Warhammer fantasy setting (so the one previous to AoS)
It is impossible as atm they are separate settings
Nonetheless there were happenstances where there were peoples, or things that travelled from 1 setting to the other
It used to be possible before, but not anymore
Ah, apologies. I know more about 40k than AoS and Fantasy, sorry ^^’
But imo? The most “”logical”” way I can think of is a Warp induced group hallucination? And even then it’s bad yoga because that’s a STRETCH lmao
Yeah GW handles it in a way of "wink-wink" references mostly
I got warhammer OCs too and my recommendation would be just imagining alternate versions of themselves in said settings
^
Its not done a lot aside from some characters like Kaldor Draigo whos trapped in the Warp and teleports from place to place randomly
Ah, gotcha
And those 2 Blood Bowl player who went on a planet under Tyranid invasion
Has there ever been a space marine navigator or is that just something that cant happen?
Probably can’t happen, what with them being mutants
Navigators are a specific kind of mutant
Marine librarians can function as navigators at great risk to themselves though iirc
But practically, the Navis Nobilitae would never let one of their own run off and join up
In theory could it be possible?
It’d be like making an Ogryn Space Marine.
Probably even harder. Navigators are even more mutated than your average Abhuman,
They turn into frog-fish-people-things if they live long enough
Well yeah, but at least navigators are still human. Ogryn are abhuman
Oh, wait i thought they are just people that undergo some sort of navigator procedure?
Nope. They’re a mutated, curated bloodline.
Actually they might be Abhumans. They got a seperate species name.
“Homo Navigo”
yeah, they are abhuman. I just checked. You learn something new every day i guess.
I mean it kinda is a mutation. Just tolerated since they need them for the Imperium to function
Rich people moment
what's tau navy like
Tau Merchant fleet is incredibly slow, durable and are covered in torpedos. They were originally designed to deal with Orks which is why they're such slow ships and so heavily armed. They uh aren't great against other races who have more brain cells
Tau protector fleet ships are faster, have worse energy shields and general durability(except from the front), and about the same firepower except with a much heavier emphesis on energy weapons and railguns.
Space combat is also one of the only places where the Tau don't have a huge technological advantage on average
is it ever explained why tau have better tech than the imperium
The Tau's low points are higher then the Imperiums, but the Imperiums very best stuff blows the Tau out of the water
is the general rule
the Tau haven't stagnated and they're the "new" kid on the block when it comes to tech
and they're incredibly reckless
when researching stuff
to the point where they've blown up one of their own suns on accident
so were humans really the most technologically advanced power that ever existed in the galaxy?
No, Necrons were
were necrons techy or magical
Techy
Eldar were magical
Humans were somewhere between the 2
in terms of techy stuff and magic stuff
The Druhkari are using left over Eldar Empire tech
which is why a lot of it is so weird
its not the good stuff so to speak
so was the eldar empire at its peak more powerful than the whole of humanity?
they did exist at the same time right
so did both peak at that time or was eldar peak thousands of years before
Eldar peaked and then stagnated since they had reached "the end"
humanity peaked during the Eldar empires stagnation period
Psychic power was the name of the game for them
neither the Druhkari or the Craftworld Eldar are using the best of the Eldar Empire
the Druhkari aren't psykers so they straight up can't use it
and the Craftworlders left the Eldar empire before the fall with worse equipment
so eldar act like they're super refined even though humanity could have possibly been better than them at everything once
we don't know
lol
is the real answer
Humanity as far as we know never had the ability to straight up summon their gods
A straight up warp god is an absurd thing on the field
and is probably why the Eldar were a factor during the War in Heaven
humanity had AI titans. i dont think anything beats giant machines that do every single move with the most calculated precision possible
I think gods that violate the laws of physics do
Like its a straight up warp entity
maybe this is how the galaxy beat men of iron. by fighting with eldar
I think the reason why humanity won was because of psyker stuff against the Men of iron
yeah
since Ur-025 has also shown he doesn't really "get" psyker stuff
i want to believe that AI in 40k is as scary as it could be in real life instead of generic "smart" villain
and the "fun" part about Warhamme lore is humanity never really reached "the end" of their technological advancment
tbh
from what i read of those men of iron the dark angels used, they seemed like generic angry machines
They were enslaved and "broken" so to speak
I'm gona assume they weren't right in the head
man i love how terrifying men of iron are
i wish 40k had more of this
they look so menacing
seeing this in real life scares the shit out of me
Basically no.
Humanity was not really that OP, Eldar and Necrons were always superior, humanity wasn't shit to them

And nah not canon.
Most clear artwork we got of a Men of Iron is from an old comic and also UR-25 but that isn't his actual body so.
that old comic is also terrifying
i want more men of iron damn it
make 40k actually scary
refuse to believe this. humanity could shoot black holes at ships and create titans like they're basic guns
And Eldar and Necrons simply did it better.
These people have been around longer than humanity and mastered most of this tech and more before that.
all humanity did during its time was fuck around on planets and do WMD/Genetic experiments lol
Also titan mass-production is not a thing
you got stronger super weapons than that, theres no point to titans
you are biased
I'm not.
DAOT titan stuff is literally from one single book in existence
and it was from like 2003
i choose to believe humanity supreme
Yeah and they got skynetted
lol
All advanced civillizations got a rise and a fall
least spiteful british story
literally just dont do an empire
that solves every single large scale sci fi story
woah gundamn reference
But whos gonna get us all our supplies
and slave labor
I MEAN
uhhhh

Me watching a giant multi Galaxy scale empire turn into warmongering maniacs ( sci-fi moment )

Me omw to restart Rogue Trader (again) because making a support psyker sounds more and more cool than Commissar-ing with every second that passes
And also commissar feels weird to play when going for Iconoclast
In dialogue: I will prevent all suffering, help all that I can, while I still breathe
In game: If I shoot Abelard again everyone gets more AP and MP :^)
Just because you're a commissar doesn't mean that you have to be an ******* about it
look at cain
Even just acting kind and showing people that they are important is often enough to get you through shit
True, I just thought that that part of the ability was funny, even if I never actually use it
It's like an ominous presence
Yeah sudden motivation is funny
Lmao i love how we universally put Abelard through the ringers. Not because we hate him but purely because he can take it
Exactly
Abelard is an enabler.
He enables me to make dumb choices and my mouth to write checks my ass can't cash, and still win.
Enablard
"Abelard, send this Motha Fucka to the moon"
"Yes Lord Captain"
Real shit
Our melee daddy
Does anyone actually build him to not be a melee juggernaut tho
I was the warrior vanguard on my playthroughs so i built him as the melee shooter build
I forgot the name of the class
Arch militant?
Yes
I have me as the gunner, but im not far into the game so i am tempted to get me, Abelard, and Heinrix as the melee boys
Literally 3 warrior vanguards wading in
I made heinrix as a assassin
Pretty good
I did too in my first playthroigh, but he didnt see a lot of action
Mainly from Argenta and Abelard hogging all the kills
Isn’t Argenta some kind of death machine? Like, literally one of the more OP companions?
along with Abelard yes
we are talking "Why get a space marine when you got them instead" tier of power lol
Abelard can literally just sit still while he tanks 5 missile strikes to the face if built correctly
and argenta would outgun a group of Flashgitz
Like most CRPGs there’s always dudes who if you know what to do break the game
Some easier than others but
There’s always a few
Cassia is worse than all of them combined in that respect
Cassia is ironically the most lore accurate one in that regard lmao
Eh idk about that, navigators can be strong but the one Navigator book we have shows them mostly being much more limited than she is.
But she is the special chosen one lady
She’s fucking wild
And some navigators can be OP af in combat, same stuff.
you get literal group mind-melt abilities in the actual written game so
Rites of Passage establishes how many are really that powerful or even get powers and it’s much more limited than the RPG or this game makes it.
They’re still dangerous but it’s not as silly as she gets or you can get in the main RPG mostly. Most have more indirect uses too anyways.
Cassia casting cyclops laser on a poor group of people will always be hilarious
But she is supposed to be the chosen one deal so it’s whatever
the amount of AOE she offers
Best ability in the game.
Her forced movement shit is so goofy
their navigator houses were using eldar souls as batteries
Making them better navigators than most and giving them enhanced power
And hers was even more better than the relic that the normal ones get
It’s still not gonna make them all have every single Navigator power
Generally speaking they have one really, the eye beams are one example. Although ironically as it’s described that one isn’t always useful since Navigators really don’t wanna be directly fighting people, a lot of their powers involve assisting with warp travel and peering into the future or seeing better paths and stuff.
Which are shown and used in the game or RPG in various ways.
The videogame doesn’t delve much into the warp travel assistance stuff the tabletop game deals with.
Cassia is damn near the second protag from how busted she is. Similar chosen one story, and the first potential romance option
nuking mobs left and right with what amounts to a mean look
but yeah Argenta and Abelard are the vanilla op boys, the two, Cassia, and Yrliet for some juicy sniping and the last slot is free or plot reason
When the Word Bearer says the most emperor phobic thing you’ve ever heard so you have to hit them with the Navigator Stare
it couldnt top 40k: Inquisitor when the Alpha Legion chided you for worshipping the emperor and going "for the emperor" before he fights you lmao
I remember EC still uses "For the emperor" as warcry
Imagine hearing loudest for the emperor ever, every glass shatters and you see a bunch of pink guys in the distance
So the emperor did seal the “chaos god” part of him away before fighting Horus. But as he was fighting Horus the prayers from the cult of the emperor empowered him.
The cult of the emperor is now essentially the goverment. If you’re not having faith in the emperor you’re a heretic. (Space marines are the exceptions.)
With trillions of humans having the upmost faith in the emperor, surely this power boost which proved to work before ascends him t god hood. Not as a chaos god but some other warp god. That’s my thinking atleast
like the prayers were literally empowering him and cleansing corruption oon terra. and thats just a couple billion of humans
also, forgot the name but hwo was the guy at the end that protected the emperor and mag dumped horus with a lasgun?
He didn't seal it away he just banished it along with any empathy or "positive" qualities he had., it will return some day still.
Ollanius Persson
His presence changes realspace, has unique looking daemons that look like an aspect of him. Amalgamation of concepts and senses rather than having a real personality... sounds like chaos god to me
The guy shed the dark king only* to become golden emperor np
Never did understood that power, so navigator just give people the stink eye and the warp farts out?
I don't think it's explained beyond you look at it you die in agony
the times i see it mentioned in stories it's hard to tell if it's people being scared of witches or an actual power navigators have
They don't seem to be doing eye genocides so maybe it's more limited than it's made up to be
They can use the Warp
it also all depends on the age of the navi i think
even your most basic navigator is pretty dangerous
they are more or less Premium™️ Psykers™️
navigators get more powerful the older they get right?
Yeah
the only issue is you can end up looking like a bloated monster lol
so not much worth it with that power when you cant go beyond a fish-tank
the thing with navigators is they're so important that they rarely get to see combat
also more of a plot tool than characters
thats basically everyone in 40k so

and again if the plot requires a navigator to travel with a group they will, lots of semantics are allowed
yeah the only reason I bring cassia around is because my character is physically built different enough that he can stare a navigator in the eye
sigma male eye contact with a navigator
my character absolutely tanking a Lindless stare will always be hilarious
damn he looking like guardsman ghost

"hey GW could you lower your pric-"
leaked video of valhallan jay getting turned into Swiss cheese by GW

New Community posts says Ushoran comes on a 130mm base, he's a big boy
So down the road, cassia was a poor choice to be with....imagine waking up to see a bloated monster as a wife
Wait.....
Boomer joke
Holy I didn't even realize
Bro you did not just accidentally make a boomer joke on one of the oldest people in this chat
she says that to you herself
lol
She is surprisingly easy to manage once you get a hang of her "quirks"
" I wish to cut the vocal cords of the people here for they annoy me"
"Cassia, abuse is one of the reason why a imperial citizen turns to chaos"
In speaking of chaos. I love how both dogmatic and heretical are just both down right insane
Whilst iconoclast is just common sense modern sensibility
you either become a zealot of pure hatred and reasonless madness, or go to a path of power and conquest
or you can evolve a third brain cell and think about the people
The answer is always C in the multiple choice question test here
Iconoclast has screwed me before
I decided to be pretty liberal with a certain planet and then i ended up with a gsc
And tried to save people from rykad minoris
Never again 🙂
Thats a random event.
You can't prevent it even with evil options lol
in the grim darkness of the 41st millennium there is only war
Haha, i thought it was just owlcat screwing with me for being a good guy
Lmao nah
Anything you're rewarded the most by being a good guy
People genuinely wanted to serve you and are happy that you ruled the dynasty
BUT still being constantly good just like IRL is not a good idea. You need to be firm and understanding in equal measure.
Keep it at a balance, be nice when it makes sense and be mean when its understandable or befitting of the situation.
yeah I need to hold back on being good more but hey
kindness is a virtue i was raised on
I think the only good stupid decision i really made was keeping marazhai alive
But upsetting people makes me feel bad
If it wasnt my first playthrough i wouldve thrown him into the woodchipper
Why did you think I picked the racist perk for fallout Nv?
or as I'd like to call it the imperium the imperium passive
i see no evil in this perk
What do you mean being racist is morally acceptable
uh they deserve it clearly
i mean i guess that is a fairpoint
( going to stab you in the back later )
taken from maxor's fallout nv video
https://discord.gg/eK3aHsJSwD
Love muh imperium perk
Today I have learned, that suggesting to 40k methods to normal people will get you that fluoride stare
Who are you, who do not know your history?
Yee and there's even a slightly chonkier variant
It's really cute
i dont understand why solar auxilia need a heavy and a light variant of the sentinel but i'm all here for it
i've always wanted actually light vehicles for guard
i hope we get a light tank next
Ah, yes, the walking turret
The sentinel is perfect enough already, but I guess it's still too heavy?
OMG HES JUST A LIL GUY
HES ON A LIL ADVENTURE
wow
all the auxilia models are awesome
this thing looks like it would be able to run
unlike a sentinel
Baby admech chicken
That flamer tank on the outside is hilarious, though. It's like, shoot me here so I explode.
yeah that looks like the critical kind of design flaws
even if doesn't explode
you basically have no weapons if it gets pierced
"was that all? I was hoping for an explosion"
~ some elf after watching a flamethrower rat exploding
if it's fast it doesnt need armour
I’m gona assume whatever the tank is made out of its durable
so if it get hit by something that can actually damage the fuel tank, it was something that would've destroyed the whole vehicle anyway
Skaven got made less comically risky in old world smh
Can’t literally lose half your army turn 1 if you roll badly now
When you say or do something so ridiculously and outlandishly stupid, people just give you that vacuously dead stare
the under empire has fallen
it's the survival onion
Millions must die die
if your vehicle can do the outer layers well it doesnt need the inner ones
Hopefully they add that later
i like small combat vehicles that are essentially mechanized heavy weapons
they're just cool
like the concept of a tank reduced to its simplest definition
the light sentinels are just cool idk
You want a flamer tank?
I like them
walkers are underrated in sci fi
disable yourself
On it
i enjoy this less
too complicated
it becomes less pleasant to look at when there's too many elements
"Too many elements"
the Aux one is literally just as messy
💀
it just doesnt have a gimp-slave at the front

this is a gun on legs. nothing that takes a high IQ to understand
idk what that is
this you dummy
oh

no joke i'd even enjoy the solar auxilia one more if it had no shield at all
the guardsman looks all hunched because he has to see through the vision slit
this is why you arent head of the miniature department
guards take him to the employee-grinder

oh ok i missed the part that says the heavier armoured one gets better weapons
they can only use heavy flamers or volkite calivers which i think are like melta guns
so these little things are meant to go into short range combat lmao
@green loom apart from mobility dread dude, are there any other cool potential character for the Solar ?
NO idea
tank commander
tanks tanks tanks
solar auxilia have a lot of TANKS
they even have baneblades
What if turret, but with legs
Do you mean to tell me Sci-fi designers make vehicles for style reasons and not practical ones sometimes?
Slander
Tbh I will say enclosed walkers which have somehow managed to make the legs work super well do have a potential practical purpose for certain environments
It’s just those same universes tend to like to show the legs not working that well a lot of times lol
walkers would be the future of combat if replicating bipedal walking wasn't so difficult
nothing's better at off roading than a pair of good old legs
tanks still would have many advantages though
one of the few cases where sci fi usually gets it right
Hovercrafts
I’m never opening this channel again
What madman created this bs
I don’t get what the complaint is
It’s pretty tame by most standards
Like yeah it’s a little silly but it’s nothing that crazy by 40k standards
It’s one of those things where I think we’ll probably just have hover tech figured out first
Yeah there is a funnier walker
Hover is more easy to make, but could prove to be less energy efficient than walkers
Hmm, if I wanna make a fun but maybe still viable speed freeks Ork list with lots of buggy’s, trukks, bikes and the like, how should I do it?
Mfer does this look like “list building” chat to you
Get your table top talk out of here smh
Go to the ork subreddit
Grey Knights when they have some of the best armour the imperium can offer
Greyknights also when they have to design an exosuit/mech suit

physically impossible
sorry
unless you mean those hovercrafts with the air cushions
so there is something i have wondered about in 40k. is it possible to make something that is powered purely by emotions? like a cannon that fires pure anger or some such
i think that's what people don't like. it's not big and grrr and ooomph and 40k enough
it's a large gun on legs it's awesome
Gate of Bones has a massive cannon using the angry-vengeful-harvested souls of the dead people in the massive cemeteries of an Imperial world
so the answer is yes lol
lol
Yes
Also volcano cannon focusing crystals from a specific world
Are considered extra valuable because
i'd pilot a smoll sentinel over a leman russ
lol its great
so like the old "my armor is hate" or some such could literally be true. SM's armor or personal shield generator is powered purely by his hate
That’s basically what the Sinistramanus Tenebrae is for Psy-Titans too
those are not words
Armor of Contempt works to an extent but not for like actual weapons
He said emotions
you cannot convince me that sinistramau is a word
Left Hand of Darkness
And yes I’m aware you didn’t spell it correctly I decided to not be a dick
I won’t make that mistake again though
kek
how the mighty have fallen
Tbf Sinistramanus Tenebrae is a helluva spelling B question
Although if they know a bit about Latin it’s not hard to spell just with how it sounds
if you know latin im sorry that the world has hurt you
Psy-titans are wild
imagine being a weapon so powerful even the imperium sees it as too horrible to use
boo
titans are weak
we need a psy sentinel
also i literally just noticed that the flamer tank is in front of the shield
now that's imperial design
psyker on powered legs
is that not scary enough
aw hell nah the imperium's got mecha psykers
the utter angst and edge in the psy-titan lore was peak GW
if you think about it hard enough there isn't that much practicality in 40kland
but giant stompy cathedral robots are kinda cool
big stuff is overdone i want smoll
them throwing practicality away for dogma and superstition is part of the setting anyway, also when warpshit defies common sense sometimes that is the right thing to do since what is considered conventionally 'practical' gets flipped on its head
therefore fuck yeah chainswords!
would it be unmanned, contain just the brain or is there a little watcher in the dark on life support in it
What is the one word that Idira tells you after you sit on the throne for the first time? I accidentally skipped it and I remember the text made it seem important 💀
Google won't tell me, instead insists that I should be spoiled on how to kill her
Very odd
Lmao the game does that with so many team members
its SO out of nowhere that some of them legit make me laugh
like 3 out of 4 choices is the ways you kill a team-member on a event segment and the only last only good choice is not doing any of that demented execution stuff
it's so hard to keep some of them alive
idk why the game insists you execute everybody
Shrimple, one of the leading writers is IRL commissar
i got by the game without executing everybody, though i might have killed prospective party members before they joined
but honestly i wasn't sure how they were expecting me to respond to marazhai lol
i headbutted him once and he was butthurt about it the entire way and the option to bring him on board never came up
I wheeled Marazhai off to the inquisition as soon as i ended chapter 3, but now im tempted to see his questline through and possibly secure an alliance
See if it changes the ending from the drukhari still fucking people over
he was pissed at me the entire time so he met his end like all my other enemies - stupid amounts of heavy bolter burst fire from a mad argenta
good lord the game was so bloody jank
i enjoyed myself ultimately but i wish act 4/5 didn't feel so incredibly phoned in
Yea the plot feels rushed
one day we'll get a 40k game that is consistently good
There was no natural "space" for you to go around and explore like chapter 2 before the coronation
i'm going to mentally prepare myself for Space Marine 2 disappointing me in some way
cause having hope for 40k videogames just seems like folly
though ngl, the trailers look sweet ass
I saw someone proposing an fps/tps game long ago and it still stuck with me to this day, we play a lowly guardsman trying to survive and helping out the other, more powerful people along the way
Why don't we get one of those Star Wars Battlefront games or whatever where you are lowly but can earn being a space marine or something
Probably has to be Battlefield/Squad scale of a hundred players on each side to be true to the scale
doubt it
I bet it would get the playerbase to support it if they hyped it up tbh
Warhammer fans are the dedicated type to my knowledge
so when was the Imperial Guard renamed to the Astra Militarim anyway? because all the memes have me confused about it
And space marines either wouldn’t be there or would take vehicle slots
Oh hell yeah its a goldmine waiting to be dug into
Commissars are the only class that gets friendly fire for lore-friendliness
(Do NOT actually do this)
6th edition
which was how long ago?
lol
Oh actually
its 9 years
and 10 months old

2 more months and the rename will be 10 years old
same applies to people saying the Tau don't fit the setting
be quiet about it if you're younger then the Tau
ah the 40k community will never change
Like the Imperium
yup
Seriously tho a large scale coop horde shooter would make bank
maybe the reason tau feel so off is because they're like the only faction that is purely sci fi with no connection to fantasy
ive also seen people dub them as anime race so i support that point
Boltgun was fun but i kinda agree that its mid in some respects
It does repeat itself a lot
This time. The helmet stays on, Titus
the critic review of it i have seen said "its a retro shooter that doesnt really know what a retro shooter is"
it checks all the boxes but doesnt really put the elements together
Eh, not really
@CaptainLeadfoot @WarComTeam Here you go, took a bit of tinkering
💖 1331 🔁 463
Based warhammer narrator
That’s true but I like the tau since they’re a “straight man” to all the insanity occurring
grimderp dictated they also get some stupid evil thing going on too, bit of a shame
Echo Malensis - Now a Lord Assassin of her temple, she was so deft in the use of psychopoison that she was able to time her target's death to the second of her return to the Venenum temple's debriefing chambers.
the mutual kindness and respect
if only
yeah people need to learn to have some more respect than usual
To be fair this is why Commander Farsight is even like a thing
The whole Ethereal caste doing some not so good stuff and even some tau catch wind of it
and then you have people wanting Farsight to go Khornate
That!
Isn't my place to question 😌
Farsights cool to go against the etherals as per SOME conflict within tau society
yeah I just hope that he gets the corruption out soon
is that general grievous
Yes
well
there should be lightsabers in 40k by this point
theres probably some subsector with some guardsmen regiment that uses lightsabers somewhere in the warp
Sollex Aegis Power Swords
they ain't even hiding it
even with a crystal lmao
Eisenhorn also had a lightsaber force sword
Oh boy there's shitty memeloretuber drama now
Apparently MajorShill is angry that someone is making an unoriginal video beating on a dead horse which covers the same topic he made an unoriginal video on years ago
Lmao which one
Erechad stays winning.
Majorkill's angry because weshammer is "copying his videos"
I can't be bothered to watch his video on it because both of them are just regurgitating slop that's been traded for like 7 years now lol
Oh wait it JUST popped up on my feed
I'll go and sit through it then wash the awful taste with some Dead Meat
"Gday guys, I can't believe this, someone's unoriginal slop using talked to death topics is similar to my unoriginal slop! I'm so tired of this! Innovation is so important to loretubers!"
Also
calls himself loretuber
I'd tell the jock meathead to get a grip but it'd probably be hard for him to do so on something not his own member
So whos in the wrong here?
I like both lol
Wes is copying generic topics basically
Topics that regularly circulate among Warhammer creators because originality in the content creator circle is dead

Dead Meat

Amazing content like
"lol Lamenters so sad"
It's like me getting angry at another dude for drawing a space marine
💀
Like even if Wes is full on copying him, the guy's an abrasive shit heel who peddles meh to decent 3rd party models and porn
He's not some high brow lore scholar
He's another cheap memetuber with an ego
Why is majorkill picking fights on every lore channel
Content
Yep
Bro why is he making such a big deal of this 💀
Major kill when the challenge is to be a decent person and don't pick a fight
(impossible)
I'll keep my comments low because a majorkill fan is probably gonna screenshot this chat and make me look like an evil tyrant 💀
Majorkill seems to be the shadiversity of 40k.
Don't worry warboss you have a contingent of Big Bosses in this chat
Trust me i can be more racist than an average major kill fan
Nah he's not that bad
We all know Dilara is da biggest and da meanest
Like I'm a certified majorkill hater but I think he's just an ass
He's not like
Ykno
He isn't a Mormon crackpot Nazi who writes books about how r*p is good if you get kids out of it actually
Arch Moment lol
Shadiversity is Arch's long lost brother
Azrael is that you?
Yeah at least he has some kind of line he won't cross
he's just kind of a dumbass basically
The weird Twitter dude?
As a hema practicioner watching shad actually fight makes me cringe so bad.
He pretends to be this master scholar but cant even get basic footwork done
Shadiversity's long lost brother is actually Jazza from Tabletop Time (Not a joke, they're actually brothers)
I heard they grew up in a super right family or sth, and his brother moved away?
Sth along the lines.
Yea like with Shadiversity there isn't even the excuse of "His family raised him that way" apparently his family are all great normal people, it's just Shad who turned out like that and chose to be Mormon
Nvm me then
Apparently the family weren't really that bad but Shad in particular went off the deep end for... some reason
It's pretty hilarious actually
I mean back in the day his vids were fine I think?
I dunno what changed- when it changed?
Also he insulted Herald of Darkness on his podcast.
So fuck him
He can't swordfight but is adamant that he's a HEMA practitioner
He can't draw but he's adamant that he's an artist
He can't write but he's adamant that he's an accomplished writer
Actually no I'm wrong, he can actually draw he just dislikes it and would rather Photoshop AI slop
Shad's always been odd, like he's the epitome of straight white guy on the internet who thinks he's an expert on everything despite having no actual qualifications or training
shad is awful
i mean his videos
just like skallagrim
never watch any of those
or your brain will rot !
There's something uniquely hilarious about an overweight Aussie in a larp gambeson and knitted chainmail complaining about women having agency
What was the guys name he recently had beef with?
Name escapes me but hes reaalllly good and actually knows his shit.
Skallagrim is awesome too, tho ive been told hes not as accurste when it comes to history talk.
From what I know skallagrim seems.... fine
He's at least not
You know
A Nazi
he's a degenerate in his own right
Sell sword arts
aside from being a misinformation dispenser
Thank you!
What I love about Sellswords is that they always show off their mistakes.
They actually care about improving and learning which is so fucking important in fencing-
or any sport.
Calling shad a history YouTuber is validation he doesn't deserve
^
just watch gun jesus talk about another ancient french cartridge loading rifle
Guns boring
Ian my beloved
Ye but Gun jesus funny
Pyrocynical???
historical guns aren't boring
i shall suffer no slander of gun jesus
who
Mark Felton intro meme
videos from
Crowbcat and UversusPro
you WILL learn about that obscure sub-maching gun made by 1 drunk guy in his garage for the polish resistance during ww2 and you WILL like it
Most of the discourse I see among History content creators nowadays is woman with Masters degree in History vs dude who uses Google as a primary source telling her she's wrong about everything.
But yeah shits fucking funny dude
ok so I googled it he's some drama/news coverage yt? why
its slop
Bold of you to assume he uses google
Lmao you say that but his fanbase also constantly accuses him of "slop" that it has basically become a catchphrase
I don't even follow him but lol
i would rather befriend a river troll than learn something from him, even the first time i saw one of his videos i felt like he was kind of stupid
YES LMAO

The only thing I know about pyro recently is his questionable art commissions

god dammit it's another verbalase
Oh wait nvm there's another channel with like 4h vids
so he has like video essays
or smth
I used to watch him for hours on end while playing hitman blood money
i only heard the name pyro a few times and i have no intention of looking him up for fear of slop
Here's the slop I'm making
Heard he's a degen with something for pyro from tf2, or some shit
ACTUALLY
He HAS some good videos like Iron Lung and other video-essays, otherwise stay awa yfrom his ""main"" content lol
looks average
as a youtube channel
He accidentally showed that on stream
jesus christ

lmaooooooooooooooo
his reaction of "OH, OH FUCK, OH-"
least sexually deranged pyro player
Think he did the same thing again with a Spiderman Stream recently
of course he mains pyro
The only pyro I know is a demented psychological war criminal that burns everything because of his pyromania
which is basically him now that i think about it
living proof that all pyro mains are absolute psychos
idk why pyro appeals so much to degenerates
madder than a pack of Batemans
Because I'm going to be honest his way of thinking is kinda like them
he sees burning things as a good thing even though you know it's a bad
same way they see doing bad things as good things basically
they're just basically as blind as pyro
and you can't comprehend a single word coming from him
yes
it makes sense
To be fair I like soldier more because he represents my lead poison brain pretty well
I relate to his stupidity
i was an engie main because i like slapping wrench on my turrets
tf2 is so good i wish it was real
and leaving said turrets in a chokepoint
The 1,000 hour scout getting killed by a new player soldier hitting him with a Crit rocket
sniper spinbotting is prime skillplay and none of you will unconvince me
