The only documented case is touching a defective salvaged imperial gellar field
but it is getting more noticeable in the warp
Tzeench daemon took over a water caste member
Yeah as they gain resolve and collective ideals it gets stronger
Or something like that
Iirc the tau have their own warp entity now
Probably
Yep
mighty greater good
This is confirmed or it's speculation?
I mean it's safe to assume that the greater good is becoming an entity because you know that's literally the only thing that they literally worship or the closest thing they worship
They literally speak greater good out of their mouth every ******* 5 seconds
The Greater Good
Yea, but have we begun to see actual warp manifestations in recent books/lore entries
not that major
it's just basically implied that it's happening
Nice, things are getting interesting for the Tau
I wish we'd get more focus on the xenos factions
I hope so too
But bolterporn is what makes the money
I hope we get some xenos viewpoints in the 40K show and not just “they’re evil”
I hope they don’t just make it “imperium vs chaos” cause it’s been done to death
I hope it's original content
Like I wanna see some orks be silly and shit with their dark humor
Yes
Please don’t make it the 900th rendition of the Horus heresy
Not based on existing popular content like Eisenhorn or something
Because of how 40K fans are, you’re gonna piss of a large percentage no matter what you do, so might as well do something interesting, go all in
I just go by with no expectations for series based on games/books. Therefore I can only be positively surprised
Me too
I just assume it will not be like the source material, but cavil might make it close ish
And 40K is big enough it doesn’t have to be
If we can have an inquisitor who lusts after genestealers be canon, not a lot is out of the realm of possibility
Cavill knows the lore enough to make a self-contained story that's not contradicting existing lore. It's easier to contradict lore if you copy existing things
That's a thing 👀👀
But as it turns out, shows can be good if they go off the source material somewhat, like the new Percy Jackson show is excellent because riordan is helping make it
It was very old afaik, tts podcast covered that series
So changes are for the better, a way to display things differently now that he has a visual media
I thought that was fake lol
I do love that 40K just gives a loose set of rules and you can just sorta weave something out of it
I dont know bout yall but im taking the "everything is canon" rule and running off into sunset with that
None of yall can convince me that a freaky inquisitor aint The savior of mankind lmaoooooooo
Isn't that the Inquistor Draco book lol. The TTT guys did an in character podcast on that and it was hilarious
I think it's just called Draco
I'd just listen to their podvoxcast, it's like an hour long and pretty great

Ok I lied, hour and a half

No I meant the actual book
I prefer to get my stuff from the source first before looking at stuff like that
yeah the book should just be called Draco
Ian Watson
Ty
Do ogryns and ork’s like fighting each other?
Two big unstoppable forces just beating the daylights out of each other and ripping off arms and other brutal combat while enjoying every part of it
Hey, I just had an interesting thought. Are there any recorded cases of an imperial relieve force accidentally siding with the wrong faction on a planet ? Like, "Wait you guys ARENT, the local government we're supposed to fight for ?"
yes and orks from time to would recruit ogryns as mercenaries
Yes, tons
Orks use their teeth as currency. It's not like they will yank one of their own off.
I feel like they would
Yea, they'd punch another's face off first but maybe they need a few more and yank
I guess they would, after punching every weaker ork around and stealing their purses
Maybe even risk it with some good fights
If they break one or two in the process, extra dosh
why dont the emperor just write stuff down is he stupid
dear imperium, do this if I'm on extended vacation
He relegated that to his sons gullyman and lorgar
Results are less than satisfactory
Other sons wrote books too
They aren't that popular
<@&735928989146939404>
Jesus
thank goodness i'm dead inside

hey you spend enough time in life you become way too immune at stuff
Lorgar ruins everything.
Welp I came back and thought mods were called on me
Can't believe I gotta ban dreadley now, always liked the guy too
In theorycraft it look like it's about Norris
Yea, it was posted in every chat
I wish lol
No if i was looking for chicken to eat i would look at the farm not here
But now that i think about it god is testing this chat more now huh
I swear to god everyday we meet another whimsical fuck that will inevitably meet their faith at the shadow realm
my job gets easier when they instantly act racist or fascist
if they drag it out and dodge lines tho oof
aww i missed the shitshow :c
Literally
Careful or you'll have a second thread about yourself on the forum

You have no idea how much points i had to spend on the dead inside skill tree just because of this discord
Theres a reason you are the true winner if you never join this discord lmao
pfff. imagine not having that tree maxed out by the age of 4, amateur :P
How about i sell you to Imrik you f****** reptile
LMAO
first you will need to put his world back together
oh and bring him back from the dead
Ehh just get another aelve to be a dragon prince
can't be that hard
wasnt the whole point that all the other high elves where too lazy an arrogent to be able to ride dragons anymore?
How did Imrik die again ? I remember him just burning people that could have been his allies or something in the ET
There are other Dragon riders, just that Caledor is the region that has the most
I think he did basically announced that his kingdom would be independent to the other elves at the end times
so then why was Imrik important?
also
wasnt that the kingdom of the mage in the vortex?
He was basically the only one who had the qualities of his ancestors
Basically the genuinely first dragon rider to summon a dragon for a long time
It was less that and more that the dragons are self aware and smart creatures, high elf ones especially, they just didnt want to be ridden anymore and slumbered longer and longer.
And there is no kingdom in the vortex, its a small isle
That i think about it wasn't their dragons comparable to god's back in the day but the old ones just kind of suplex the world
i mean Caledor
its filled with high elf wizards that have been stuck there in time for THOUSANDS OF YEARS keeping the vortex functioning
Yeah no Caledor is an outer kingdom surrounding the donut
well outer and inner
wasnt it founded by the lead dude that made the vortex?
Yep.
Hes the archamge maintaining along with other island wizards
they are stuck there forever lmao
well they use to be
me playing taurox and landing at the funny donut
💀
still funny to me they saved the world by turning themselves into a giant sink drain
Lmao yeah its basically what it is
it takes the extra warp energy and dissipates it
which is like, you know, A VERY BIG DEAL
the day they made it all you hear is the flushing sound bite and all the demons just POOF
considering the fact that THE ENTIRE WORLD WAS OVERRUN BY DAEMONS its fitting
Nah he ended up in the realm of chaos
the vortex is not really a "location" its just a swirling maelstrom
Since it sucks up stuff it's also safe to assume that it has a lot of winds of magic right
Yeah but you cant get anything from it and use it
Eataine being one single region instead of being split in two annoys me greatly
to be fair IT IS the capital
and if history taught us anything capital regions always get some bullshit lmao
Quite
Didn't Endtimes pull a 180 with the Elves and had a couple of High Elf characters turn out to be evil while simultaneously revealing Malakith was actually a good guy?
The evil elves part no
i mean. the mages that maintain it where able to break thru the mists of time and UNO reverse card the spell Malekith tried to use on the vortex
@storm jungle
Lore chat when someone decides to be annoying and bothers it:
The tradition was before you become the phoenix king you gotta step into the pillar of eternal flames that is the fire of asuryan and not get burnt if you stay in it
Malekith obviously fucking failed this
BUT
End Times revealed that this was all a farce somehow???
And that all the previous kings took anti-burn potions before going into it
and if Mal stood in it for a longer time he'd have not get burnt
LMAO
Yea they revealed that you were supposed to get burnt and all the others cheated with magic so they didn't
Yep
dont talk about that. i dont even like the elves and i find that whole thing to be unacceptable
it was like THE most ass-pull reach
they basically needed a reason for Malekith to be a big-shot leader and they wrote that in there
End times i'm pretty sure also proves that grimgor is one of the best fighters around because Archaon needed a lot of power boosts just to beat him in a fair fight
well atleast ET was good to the skaven
Skaven were basically the Tyranids in this case
literally infinite numbers as they destroyed every minor location
in reconned lore grimgor kicked archaon in between the balls
And proceeded to head butt him
Grimgor was wilding out for a time in ET wasnt he?
Wasn't he the Incarnate of Beast or something ?
Yes, archaon one because he got a power boost
Yes he was an incarnation of ghur
The beast realms in aos
Wasn't Endtimes one of those cases where GW made it a big narrative game event to "Decide the outcome" and Chaos lost hard despite GW wanting them to win and end the setting.
he tore down the great wall of Cathy right?
I think
that was the first end times called the Storm of Chaos
Incarnate for Gork iirc
The author having forgotten the chosen of Mork
I see
Skarsnik was fucked
That was the campaign where grimgor did his glorious nut cracker ability
In both case yes, they lost all the smaller battles, but the big decisive battles were Chaos wins (As decided by BL/GW)
Basically its the entire reason GW stopped doing "big" plot narrative campaigns, because the results can be really hilarious and not go the way GW wants.
its why the latest one Ogrham works
its just a single unimportant planet
and it decided who gets their minis revealed first
TYRANIDS WON, FUCK YOU SPACE MARINES

An insect born literally yesterday versus a man in a power fridge who would win
as is the way nature intended
Yeah, it can work if it's smaller less important theatres
Otherwise it's way to big of a boom to be left to outside interference
^
like BOTH times it was a big narrative campaign
GW didnt like the results
and changed the outcome in the lore writings afterwards lmao
They did do it another time before SoC too, iirc it was for the Badlands
I will always hold the grudge over them retconning the nut kick
ngl a nut kick likely wouldnt do much to Archeon anyway
Yeah but this one was from grimgor and it made him crumple to the floor harder than Joe biden on a flight of stairs
It was hilarious but gw was gw
Brunner just shooting Archaon down from his mount is cool
did the dwarves have any wins in ET?
Bro thorgrim
Just read about how he died
I think the only one that really had an outstanding win would be Gotrek
Thorgrim snapped Queek's head, that was a nice win, though after
Dwarf were on the bad spot of being the main enemy of the Skaven, who just had plot armour all the time
only to get shanked by Snik or whatever later
Yes
The death master
I mean you would think thor grim would have some anti assassination runes
Yuo, cause apparently they had forgot to close a small door
he does
Skaven plot armour > Dwarf Rune Armour
the armor of kings has runes to ward against assassination
nothing can stop rat man with knifes
Bro got absolutely slammed
even most powerful runes
It's why I hate the ET, the Skaven just are outrageously out of character
And way to buffed
the last entry in the book of grudges was the death master's personal mark
was a nice touch tbch
Mean them uniting or what?
That was a pretty cool way of saying f*** you and mocking the culture of your enemy
ye
Uniting, not backstabbing each other anymore, their tech becoming way more reliable
it was the horned rat yes-yes, he wanted into the great game and nothing was gona stop him
Well, still I think they would overrun anything even with their tech being wacky and backstabbing
Yeah what's supposed a random peasants supposed to do against a horde of bloody Storm vermin
mean like Great Horned still would force them to unite
and go die-die for him
kinda hard to stop billions of giant rats with gattling guns and literal nukes when they swarm up from under just about every city
They literally mass produced Ghoritch
It's over
That's true, and that's alright, but most of the Skaven win depend mostly on other races just being push over or outright stupid
Like Queek killing Belegar was in character and though I hated reading it, it like it
💀 well rats outsmarted them
didnt the Brettonians just give up because they learned their goddess was just an elf and they only existed as a buffer for the wood elves?
That happened?
Man that's another good point surprisingly for the end times
thats what i heard yeah
I thought the thing about the Bretonians was they fought to the very end, like while the world was literally melting they were still fighting.
They had a Civil war about it
as the French are want to do kekw
War of the Black Grail or something
Mallobaude and the Black Grail
Very Arthurian, with Mallobaude being "maybe" the bastard son of Louen similar to Mordred and Arthur, but I've not seen much info about it.
wouldnt doubt it
mallobaude is most likely louen's bastard son yes
also ungrim best dawi
gotrek doesnt count
and et does indeed suck, Il always feel the one thing fantasy had over 40k( just the one thing mind you) was the skaven and everything about them, including the comedy
Did Gotrek even Incarnate ? I know Thorgrim had Metal (After his death it was Gelt) and Umgrim got Fire (After n Elf iirc)
I think gotrek just jumped into a warp portal as regular gotrek
but I could be wrong, ive done my best to erase the et from memory
He was literally chosen by Grimnir to take his place.
but he didnt get any buffs when he was alive right
apart from y know, being gotrek
LMAO
Well for sure, but he never was an Incarnate no ?
Not sure on that one
well its unfortunate we never got regular gotrek battling archie in a duel, because HE WOULD HAVE KICKED HIS ASS
also between the two alphachad slayers, ungrim and gotrek, ungrim actually got to die and fulfill his dream
I do appreciate that after Gelt got the Incarnate of Metal they still lend that he is imbued by Grungni
The dwarf gods are one of the few sensible deities that work with Sigmar yeah.
people forget Order factions aren't that perfect lmao
the dwarf gods also gave us Grombrindal( kinda) which was nice of them
although et did confirm hes mostly snorri whitebeard
and not just an avatar of every angry dwarf ever
which was basically all but confirmed tbh
Another moral win to the Stunties over the Knife ears
bugmans rangers are wholesome
Become both short racist and knife ear racist become orc
But the Elf are terribler
Or actually just be racist to everything
Dwarves are about just as bad or worse
the amount of times they'll just never help their allies or focus on capitalistic shit kinda explains itself

Best way to insult a dwarf
Bring up about the Dawi zharr
Proceed to get added to five books of the book of grudges
some guy was arguing how gelt is comparable to teclis and I was just like bro teclis taught all the og hoomies magic, gelt is just a regular old patriarch
Yeah it's basic magneto metal manipulation
^
But magneto is actually stronger than gelt
At least they didn't hide them to the point on creating an irredeemable war between them and their closest allies of the time (War of Vengeance) 🤷
I mean they did
LMAO
When ?
magneto is stronger than a lot of marvel villains, youd be surprised the shit magneto gets upto against some serious villains
they are salty little midgets
Magneto gets handicapped
He controls magnetic fields
hes fucking OP
The world is literally covered in a magnetic field
What do you think that entails for us
Not saying otherwise, but they didn't fuck up as much as the Elf during the War of Vengeance
That old cloak of beards pic that caused a meltdown in the gone meme channel was actually just true, not even a meme at all.
The point of the war of the beard is that they both fucked up
the dwarven lords were eagerly looking forward to a war as much as the high elves
theres no point in finger pointing
They pointed finger first
Chaos dwarf are technologically more advanced than the normal dwarfs right
yes
Yeah
you can actually blame the war of the beards dwarves for giving us bretonnia
💀
because the elves had to leave the continent
But that left place for the Empire too (Kislev too ?)
I mean sorta but no
And technologically speaking the chaos dwarves are only second to clan skyre
the EMpire would have settle there either way
There are Chaos Dwarfs in the Chaos Warriors list
And literal nukes
Manning the ever reliable hellcannon
not surprised
Depend on what we take as having the best technology, but I think LM have the best
Lm?
chaos dwarves are basically dark admech for the chaos warriors, except they charge more money
The skaven have miniguns and nukes i think that's hard to beat
Skaven are very much mary sue tech wise
They took all the cult mounts out of TOW list though, so my Disc Lords are now on generic mounts
they can make a particle accelator
and people will ask
"how"
the author will go
"warpstone"
lmao
but skaven talking is just so funny
im gonna blow you up
Ikit making mechagodzilla in the middle of nowhere with some warp stone
also ratlings going " RATATATATATATATATATA" when firing is also funny
throt doesnt have much of a sense of humour for a skaven
@storm jungle Monkey thing speak-talk funny, stab-gut him, yes-yes
but ikit
That's what she said
I mean if you work with warp stone so much you mutate and have your frontal lobe hammered with one i'm pretty sure you're sense of humor would get obliterated as your brain gets exposed to warp radiation constantly
Lizardmen, Old Ones' tech
bleh, thats a skaven sunday
I consider that more magical
throt doesnt have time for jokes because hes always starving
Magitech (Which is also the case for Skaven too 💀 )
skavens makes wonderful punching bags such a cool faction
Yeah but monster
they're so despicable
I don't need a lot of convincing to do
whos the big obese eater in 40k that just wants to eat everyone in sight
Eh no one
sad
Tyranids
I can't say

I'm going to skin the world
Oh damn
the bot is braindamaged yeah
hadron dropping the ball yet again
happens for a lot of other words
why dont more xenos get to be daemonic
like daemon princes or chaos champions
they got enough xeno chaos worshippers
Human are the main point of view, same thing in fantasy with the rarity of Dwarf and Elf Chaosites
I mean Tuska Daemon Killa is kinda a champion of Khorne
He keeps getting raised to fight again etc
you got entire planets worth full of chaos worshipping xenos
like the laer for example
truth is
because marketing
if they don't get minis for them, you won't get much lore
truth is nobodys buying laer models yes
What Laer models
the ones in my head
40k is a setting that is as wide as an ocean but as deep as a puddle, its a fact not a lot of people want to accept usually

but Dilara, I can't keep two books straight, it must be because of how deep the setting is
Yeah people will only accept that it's a puddle when you drown them on it
By holding their face forcefully
Mfers going on about "its such a rich setting"
literally only "background" book series is fucking space marine mania aka 30k
also did yarrick die
He died in big quotation marks.
last I read he was chasing orks across the galaxy
basically
with black templars
the last guard codex got a death report
the problem is
it literally doesnt say in any way where, how or when he died
its extremely propaganda filled
But Angron totally killed him
Lmao
Fr fr fr fr
angron vs yarrick
but yeah basically hes prob just gonna get a mini update
My source?
Uhhh idk someone on Grimdank said so
It was basically
All right people kill this man we have no use for him right now bring him in when we are tight on imperial guard moolah
Yarrick solos angron it would be funny i think
yeah make angron die instantly i agree
Nah the opposite
as seen here
Angron just goes " Im too angry to die"
Yarrick just goes , " Yeah so am I"
Yarrick dies of cardiac arrest from just beholding Angron from too close
LMAO
True
I feel like Angron actually won a lot more of his fights as a primarch than he did after becoming a daemon
is the braincell reduction from daemonic ascension that severe
was there much to reduce from
Because they needed a big brolic dude to get slammed on the floor to show how cool people are
Nah its the curse of becoming a saturday morning cartoon villain
also what Bulgur said
people were like "wow Angron spawns back into realspace faster now" while all the realists knew this just meant he can get his ass kicked more
Mortarion died like 10 times after he became a daemon primarch in the lore
I mean the Sanguinius v Angron fight was worth it
yeah that whole business with draigo doesnt count, why, because it was atrocious
It was boring.
like every primarch fight
if i want that shit ill go watch the MCU

meme lore

draigo wrote his dead grand masters name on mortarions heart? why you ask? for no benefit, because he wanted to tell him fuck you
he pulled the Half Life 2 Barney treatment
"AND IF YOU SEE DOCTOR BREEN, TELL HIM I SAID FUCK YOU"
and now draigo roams the actual warp, where daemons in the actual warp supposedly hide from him
jesus christ matt ward
Draigo is prob one of the worst mary sues in the setting
hes like deadpool but more braindead
If only gerdan could speak
I heard matt ward for each overpowered character he makes he becomes more powerful and gets more favors from the chaos gods
well then
But that's just a rumor tho
That short was written by L J Goulding
Now come here so I can write Ward's name on your heart
no
I blame matt ward
I blame everyone except dan abnett
because gaunts ghosts was good as a non 40k story too, it was just good
and also I dont blame whomever wrote watcher in the rain
it was me
Karl hater, input dismissed
I like Karl
especially when he took advice from louen
" Hey you are the frontline for chaos and empires about to get repeatedly smashed for a long time, prepare for that okay?"
" but what about you?"
"Ima chill back here in my bretonnian countryside"
"Cool"
proceeds to have his entire nation eradicated off-screen
he himself got a decent ending, especially given that its et

nvm it's 4.5 hours
Finally a video to listen to for my sleep
I use Luetin for that
To be fair i listen to this for my sleep https://youtu.be/oc4mr8a4H7c?si=0_2bCiKI-7gDauPA
Warning: Not actually ASMR. Unless if you're into that kind of thing. #NLClan #BunkerSlav #AveDominusNox
that ET video reminded me the numbers of people living in Altdorf according to the ttrpg
it's like 10k or something
I hate gw population numbers in fantasy
I nuked it once as the skaven in total war warhammer 2
Absolutely hilarious
The ork rework was pretty fun too
And the beesman
Beastmen
The other guys
Ehh
A bit of a mix bag
yes, although by that point I was done with orks, since none of the characters except grimgor interested me, and I didnt wanna just replay grimgor
The only faction that needs attention are the Dwarfs
beastmen rework was amazing, but it came very late, skaven were consistently given new dlc through the games lifecycle
and with less than half the humor
because why would you play anything else
Should have gotten a Dlc vs the Dwarf tbh
Dark Elf should have gotten someone else
dead ass TTS Draigo is better than the canon version lol
I just hope the dwarfs get a thunderbarge because that would make me very happy
dawi should get their golems
and kazador dragonslayer should get a unique model already
cant wait for him to go to war with thorek over their application of technology
dwarves need some buffs because chaos dwarf powercreep is kinda nutty
Would have been very helpful when they were dealing with the rats that sent giant steroid infused rat ogre hybrids at them
best application of technology you can possibly make
They can literally and given the right strategy can literally match ikit claw in range combat
And even outright beat him
Those goddamn dread quake mortars are scary
skaven at least have multiple tools at their disposal, the thing with dwarves is they are good at say a and b, and chaos dwarves are literally better at whatever the dwarves are good at
they dominate the dawi niche
the percs of being a dlc
Heavy hitting infantry and monsters
Good cavalry that can go through multiple front lines
And incredibly devastating range
although, I suppose the next dlc does feature dawi so
Hopefully CA was able to get some sense into their head
even if they said they'll update it soon
i think february they'll add more content to SoC
that's what they said at least
Man the whole ca debacle was not fun
yeah TWW3 really need to be a good game
that franchise is solo carrying warhammer fantasy since 2015
Yeah that thing collapses and the old world revival project will crumple harder than joe biden in a flight of stairs
I can't blame people for wanting Total War 40k
Yeah but
How do you fix most of the battles being ranged
Sure there are melee loving factions
Especially at the scale of those games
But yeah
They need some serious back work to really make it work
I mean Napoleonic warfare had you shoot a musket once and usually bayonet charge
Or literally just stand in line and shoot
It wouldn't be that hard to make imo
That doesn't make sense with magazines
The actual why I don't want TWW40k is because I think CA would only make the bare minimum effort
hoping to get carried by the IP
and also darktide is good, even its a bit..barebones
What game is that?
its this new 4 player coop vt2 clone, but set in 40k
Warhammer 40k excels at action games and strategy games
Making good categories of those two games is what gets the money in
Shame that
A good chunk of warhammer games are
Manageable at best
well dow2 was perfect for me
DT is carrying recent releases for 40k
that game nailed what it set out to do
itl probably have performance issues, but I dont think the story, combat , gameplay etc will be bad by any means
Like you can say that Mymomoto quote all you want
Plus it has a full 3 play coop campaign which is dope
games that get delayed a lot
Miyazaki?
have a fair history of being shitshows
The mario guy
ah miyamoto
back when he said it they didnt
The main character voice sounds generic now which is a shame
I can't say his name because the bot is absolutely funny
a fair price to pay to have an option to make him put his helmet on
I think they confirmed thats there
you can play sm2 with your primaris lieutenant helmet
also emphasis on "eventually"
as you say he wasn't in an era like this where you gotta produce slop constantly to appease the masses

yeah, plus live service wasnt a thing back then
^
yeah but it's a quote people use today which is why I mentioned it
fair enough, but at any rate, sm2 definitely needed a delay, there were performance issues and framedrops in the gameplay trailer itself
you see it everywhere everytime a game gets delayed
Its a problem with modern games
you need to meet the expectation of the playerbase
but that means more crunch
more work abuse
more hours
more bugs
more things that get missed
its a fucking shitshow
every game has to be the next big thing for some reason lol
I feel like I've seen more people get angry about slow or delayed content on a video game or some type of entertainment than like... actual things that matter.
like "my easy entertainment is not entertaining me enough, this is the worst thing I've experienced"
well I mean, I no longer purchase games at launch, ever. Ive been meaning to play rogue trader, which I will, but only after it gets even more patches, because I cant stand not playing the final version of a exclusively singleplayer game
Game devs stopping incredibly loud and racist players from breaching their base because they made a bad game be looking like an imperial guard garrison stopping an ork horde
That's the smart thing to do these days it feels like. Getting games while they're EA (unless they're on sale for stupid cheap) is just a tease
Like, im gonna play through cyberpunk next week sometime when I get free from work, and I havent played it all, and im glad I waited to play it now when its much better as opposed to at launch. I usually stick to waiting with singleplayer games now
because all the releases are uber botched
and I dont wanna ruin my experience of a good story with shitty performance
I rarely replay sp games which I think is the norm. Playing early just means I only get to experience an inferior version
Baldurs gate is incredibly fun and one of the few games i'm willing to pay full price for
Genuinely worth my money
baldurs gate is a bit of an exception, because larian being larian recognized my problem and gave it like a full year in early access, so the actual release would be complete as an experience
I can be a patient gamer and hop onto something a year after the hype died
Speakin of new games coming up that could be either awesome or completely flop. We got Enshrouded dropping on the 24th
Yeah shame they don't follow that trend
its expensive
Actually give people what they want
Western devs literally tried to attack larian because of their success
Saying that the game was a one kind chance that should not happen regularly
Jesus people
well that whole thing was funny too
because after bg3 came out, everyone was like , " this is the new standard for a good singleplayer rpg" and some devs lost their marbles because of high that bar is
Man it was absolutely runny
same thing happened with rdr 2 btw
and it affected cyberpunk on launch
because of how rdr 2 handles interacting with its open world
and cyberpunk didnt do it to that extent
So high japanese devs have been releasing similar content with jrpgs for years
speaking of, I recently finished sea of stars
10/10 would recommend to all 40k fans
Of all of its achievements, cp77 isn't a good rpg
I mean it looks interesting, what's the relation with 40k though?
During hh what legions were allowed to wear wings on their armor?
theres no relation, I was just recommending to folks in this server is what I meant
If you are asking aquila, only EC
Gotcha, do the wings on like ultra marines mean anything
Night lords smoke in the back of the classroom so I doubt their wings mean anything
They have bat wings
Yeah
Wings be wings they all taste the same
But the Imperial Aquila isn't a bat, unfortunately
I think it would be much improved if it was
🦇
Well during the heresy realistically any loyalist could be seen wearing the Aquila. EC just had the most since they were the only legion allowed during the great crusade
So the traitor EC sorta used it as an insult
Wings in general varied from legion to legion.
Knowing beuocracy (tahts my best attempt to spell it) during even pre hh nobility will throw a fit over anything
So it’s just a legion thing?
Yeah
Dark angels had their winged helmets, as did the NL.
And other legions with lil things and trinkets
I'm really on the fence on if that's adorable or creepy
i mean they still released an unfinished version you could pay for

Yeah, but the way they presented their EA was like "this is a demo you can fuck around on before the official release"
It's all about how you market it
vs a lot of other games that are like "this is the full game, just with less content"
ıt looks scary from there but up-close bats are pretty cute
for the most part anyway
I mean the ones that have lil cute possom faces are pretty cute, but then you get things like
still looks cute
too small and fuzzy to be threatening
And my country the world's largest bat species exist
It's f****** awesome
Every bat species where I'm at has the lil demon face instead of like... the cute face lol
but they are really cool, I like setting up bat houses near the sheds/barns. Get to see em flying around on most summer nights clearing out the bugs
D:< Big things can be cute too
I rescue them from my workplace pretty often.
if It's bigger than me, It's my natural enemy
Glove up, get them in a box, take them outside to release
It's big enough to hold on your back and act like it's a backpack
and doesn't that big bat just eat fruit?
It is a fructivore, yes.
Yes
adorable
Give it an orange
They also actually act like a bees pollinating the plants they eat
Bats are pretty harmless yeah, the only issue is they can sometimes carry diseases which isn't good.
Otherwise most they'll do is just squeak and fly past you
the funny chinese disease incident
Cute little rats with wings around 5% chance of carrying rabies and small teeth you will barely feel if you get bitten
Irl Pokémon!
I mean the likelihood of getting bit by a bat randomly is probably around the same levels of getting struck by lightning
I want to hug it
You can of course increase your chances by messing with the wildlife or holding up something metal during a storm, respectably
I mean
Honestly i would do if i was given the chance
But it would probably feel quite leathery
Hey as long as it's not anything related to australian wildlife i'm good
That right there is the kitchen sink of satan
"aww, look at this cute little octopus with blue rings on it!"
This gecko's self defense mechanism which is shooting foul smelling liquid, the neat part is the liquid is flammable
Now make them have a genetic mutation to also breathe fire
I gotta find this predecessor to the dragon immediately
Do Psykers always get visions in their dreams or are they random
And can a psyker deliberatly "force" themselves to see a vision?
There are Psyker who's job is divination
Each Psyker experiences things in their own way it feels like
Depictions vary
You have Idira in Rogue Trader who gets whispers from a "door" in her subconscious
If they believe they are able to do so, I think yes
For example a fortune teller might use the imperial tarot to make predictions
All depends on how they handle it
some warships even use the tarot as a way of predicting the severety of warp translations beforehand
although I have no source for this, it just is on the back of my head
from somewhere
It's mentioned in the Battlestar Galactica iirc
The Witchbringer novel has some cool stuff about Divination and Tarot
and yea Psykers can get visions in their dreams
I made something based on the discussions I've seen on this chat over time, although I've not talked much
about chaos and how each class would be able to resist it
I'm not sure if I sould share though, self promotion is heresy
Ogryns are the most susceptible
But our ogryns should be more tougher than others
What are your views on why it is so?
Because lore wise they are notoriously easy to corrupt
I think it's the polar opposite
Ogryns can be easily manipulated to joining the ruinous powers
“Big e wants you to eat this daemon corrupt meat fruit”
Oh I can definitely see that
Yeah if you're properly smart enough you can easily trick them
Which is why that's one of the things that is stated in lore about them
A lot of ogryns are pretty much easy to fool
but I can also see that an ogryn would get grumpy if the funny man with the pointy hat is not giving that order
They can be notoriously hard headed at times, especially ones within the imperial cult
Or chaos target the ogryn friend and use him to turn the big man
Yeah but your normal ogryn is not going to pass the intelligence check on identifying the traitor
ogryns are also absurdly loyal, owing partly due to their simple mindedness
but it is also strength
It's too small to doubt but it's also too small understand that it can easily be betrayed
A double edged sword
I mean, it depends on how you look at it, there are ogryns that are so silly and hardcore loyal that they are harder to corrupt than your regular hoomie, on the other hand you could probably trick them into being chaotic, but I dont see many followers of tzeentch going around trying to trick ogryns
There are definitely smart ones that are harder to corrupt but a majority of them are
Not running for intelligence points
I'd also see any finer temptations being off the list for ogryns
They really don't care about much
so, the same as your regular hoomie guardsman then, when it comes to being corruptible
The 6th has literal legions of chaos ogryn
with some referring to us as "loyalists"
they are entirely in on it
Ogryns being dumb is not a good thing, its a bad one
khorne ogryns when
Example in only war. Ogryns have the highest chances of failing spotting chaos. Which can get problematic very quick
I want an ogryn as a champion of tzeentch
Especially when your ogryn just became a daemon host
yes, but doesn't this just mean they are well versed on serving chaos instead of being tricked into service?
This would imply they have been raised to worship said ideals
or at least been taught
They arent tricked
they are fully in on it like i said
their dialogue shows this lol
Then it isn't a case of stupidity
If they can be just as easily manipulated to serve the Imperium, so they can towards chaos.
I'd argue
Yes once you get a big dumb brute on your side it's not that hard to use magic to corrupt them some more to make sure they stay there
The corrupt ones we fight have fully embrace the dark power
Once they begin to show the slightest signs of mutation you know it's over
I'd say psyker on paper
but theres one psyker whos out and out almost a heretic
They have the misfortune though of being delicious snacks to warp entities
One of psyker line is “I won’t let you in”
cant wait for the plot twist where they show the beloved is really a lord of change
Even inquisitors utilize demons as advisors and Pokemon
it's more possible than you think
^
I'd say it also depends on the personalities as well as the class
also when you get found out using a daemonhost you get nuked
its the worst thing you should never do
lmao
Because like one of the Zealot voices is dangerously close to Khornate
He needs them
Yes, but to fight chaos, the best weapon is chaos itself.
The temptation to use such measures is definitely real.
The problem is its not necessary.
whos the best psyker in the imperium, librarians and emprah and malcador and primarchs aside
It’s called enough religious further to Bible thump a mf into the ground
Blood for the Fat Controller
Daemonhosts always ALWAYS end badly.
also "using chaos to fight chaos" is not absolute
Like human but not upgraded ?
its just one radical sect of ideal of the Inquisition
sure, inquisitors count though
You don't need to give a daemon physical form to seek it's counsel though
If you start using demonic stuff. It’s a when not if. If it backfires
Yeah but you dont need to counsel a daemon either
its too dangerous that its basically not needed
How many people will have a stroke if you use 40k gulliman in HH
Im totally relying on daemonic support when the times comes so I can use them to skip traffic jams and flying economy
ideally yes, but it is done on the regular by extremist inquisitors
not me
I wonder why we are allowed to collect those green books
yes, "extremists"
who never last long
Some unanmed Alpha + kid
A good chunk of the space marincels
lmao
it is also the method which some factions have used to collect information on the True Names of greater daemons
among the marines, id assume its mephiston
Think so
Kaldor Draigo ?
no, not supreme grand master
He's lost in the warp though
I think
I'm old on the lore
yeah, its aldrik voldus
I'll be honest, I don't follow much on SM lore, worst part of 40k 🤷
aldrik voldus is essentially chief librarian of the grey knights
still probably weaker than an edgy blood angel vampire magician
Isn't there a grey knight that uses a demonic sword
and has never been corrupted by it
there's a SW with such a case (axe though)
ain't that the truth my favorite Carnegiea
gigantea
Jesus christ space marine lore is just boring
And the few good ones become immediately overshadowed by the bad ones
garran crowe
and its the blade of antwyr
I'm quite short by the way
its not just that, the sword is an ancient relic and wielding it has a special post among the grey knights
Very well my good old Blossfeldia liliputana it is still true that space marines are less interesting than a vanilla ice cream
like, the sword is super mean , even for a demon sword, other grey knights cant be in crowe's presence without feeling its influence
So it is that bad huh
its worse
The purest of the pure can't stand it
it helps crowe's enemies in combat
like, most of crowe's lore revolves around him and the sword
afaik
also, the sword gives him loads of advice and offers him tonnes of power, all of which crowe literally ignores, because listening to a daemon that makes perfect sense is a horrible idea
nobody told that to the primarchs sadly
Poor Magnus
Played like a fiddle
To be fair, Magnus was told pretty explicitly to not fuck around with the warp.
Fulgrim, on the other hand, was definitely the one to get the shit end of the stick when it came to knowledge of the warp being withheld
To be honest even pre-heresy Fulgrim's legion was nigh on unbearable to other Astartes
Oh yeah they were still a bunch of pretentious pricks for the most part
They were obsessed with perfection and claiming glory first even if it led to horrendous casualties
wasnt an epic rock concert held by the emperors children having a rave what led to the creation of noise marines
Yea, they did some pretty fucked up daemon summoning ritual they got from the Laer
Relating to chaos corruption I did this for the last month
Short answer - They are, but that depends.

But like said, I think I could've done Ogryns better
the editting is top notch lol
I think the funniest thing I did is at 6:20
otherwise this took way too long to make
this way of editing reminds me of some of my favorite youtubers to watch
I've watched probably many of them too considering you're here on this server
Man I miss TTS
It was fun but definitely the source of some of the more unsavory parts of the fandom
i remember in the comics an inquisitor gets found out and her own grey knights fuckin blast her
Good for her
I mean TTS is an obvious parody
That was Astor Sabbathiel
is valdor the best genetically engineered human ever created in 40k
No, that'd be me

the Dark Angels one
its fucking hilarious
HE JUST BLASTS HER
YUP
To be honest, opening fire on inquisitors is just the average tuesday for the Dark Angels
tbf tbf, she was just being stupid. i mean who in their right mind would trust a daemonhost of tzeentch
Someone who thinks they can outscheme the literal god of scheming
The type Tzeentch especially likes, granted
a cultist of Tzeentch?
can inquisitors order custodes around
Nah
no cooperate with them yes
The banana boys are in a league of their own
the custodes are literally the bodyguards of the emperor
and are his personal soldiers
well I mean, the inquisition is kinda known for having unnecessarily total blank cheque in terms of authority
so im glad they cant order custodes around
but they can grey knights
banana boys occasionally sneer at girlyman while doing what he wants
there's no way anyone else can order them around
Yea, she was trying to convince the Grey Knights to purge the Dark Angels after she learned about the Fallen and how the Dark Angels keeping it secret, but the Grey Knights were like "You're working with a Daemonhost" and shot her in the head.
Are titans actually gundams
The only reason why they work with him is because the emperor gave his blessing at guilliman
i mean yeah they are but
Do not underestimate them because they are still small
For the size of robots and fiction anyway
These things still pack enough firepower to level cities in a single volley
they could be a bit bigger imo
tbh If a robot that's about a third the size of the Empire State building stood on me, I wouldn't be thinking "Damn that's small"
at least the warlord and imperator
do custodes have their own psykers
They have anti-psykers
I want a killteam fight on top of a titan to bad lol
But I don't think there are any Custodes that are psykers
that would be a super expensive killteam terrain
Its interesting how they used the emperors gene seed for grey knights and want all of them to be psykers, but not the custodes
It would be absolutely fun
gk seem to be plan b for tsons
Imagine the titan takes a shot so th e whole thing stumbles
banana boys are designed to be emps guards
Or maybe the weapons begin firing and you are just
Stunlock basically as the sound ruptures your ear
Those admehc guys that protect titans would be such a cool kill team
Then maybe
Who would try to infiltrate a titan
orks
Yea, Secutarii could be cool
orks, ballsy chaos people
kommandos?
We already have a killtema of them
Storm boys would definitely work and kommandos as usual
But this guy would be pretty fun for a Titan Slayer because he literally killed one in lore
Shame he's not out yet
Ulfthak Blackhawk
They have the tau and the krot
They basically have two ******* kill teams
I want demon killtema but we probs won’t get that
Kill teams need to be packed and easy to transport around and you know keeping a demon tethered to the physical world is quite a job
OH LOOTAS lootas vs securitarii
So it needs to be one particularly powerful psyker that can constantly supply the daemons energy
Deathskullz are inherently sneaky because of their way of stealing stuff that could definitely work
These models fucking suck outside of kit bashing it’s perfect
Securitarii upgrade sprue and new lootas sprue
On a titan
I feel like this guys are practically redundant because flashgitz exist
Both of them literally seem to fill the same role
Yea, they have a special rule that lets them steal off of vehicles
I think at least use to be you remove d6 hp off a vehicle and give it to a friendly vehicle
So it's better to bring them around when the enemies uses a lot of vehicles
Fuck that looks cool
It’s perfect, a hyper elite option for admech
With a ranged build and melee build
Man i would love to see a shield wall with these guys
