Terra is basically a hive-planet
Some parts of the highest spires pierce the smog but not many.
its like grimdark coruscant
But yeah Terra has like 5 quadrillion people.
Yeah its a literal hellhole.
So much corpse starch
Yummy
Well not a literal hellhole since those exist in 40k, but it sucks.
Okay fair
It does have a hellhole though.
Lol I mean... i was gonna say this dammit lolol
Beat me to it!!!
Detroit now is about where Terra is when Angron lands.
Everything is on fire and theres a lot of yelling, but we're somehow optimistic
Lol... I've done a lot of traveling, and I've been through Detroit. Yall are a different breed... Im from Oklahoma and the culture shock with yall was real lol
I haven't been there in years so I'm just memeing. It wasn't all that bad really, at least not the city proper.
So rogue trader just ends the game for you behind a skill check it seems
Not bad, just different
I've visited a few different times for various reasons and there is a lot being done to fix it.
Its still not great but its improving.
LOL
Just like real life 💀
Would you say that perhaps you have a

Skill issue?
Oh, so it's the game's fault. Suuuuuure.
RN I'm trying to download toybox so I can complete an Argenta quest which wouldn't complete itself for some reason.
Cause I'm at the part where it fails otherwise.
Where there any proper Urban Warfare in 40k lore?
Though if you don't have enough high skills in a few specific skills you do just auto die
Plenty
not this stuff with storming Hives
Well
Yes. There was even an entire codex dedicated to it called City Figh.t
That's Urban mfer
I mean stuff like Battle for Grozny like stuff
Mfer you can't list some random ass no name battle none of us care or have heard about
And then ask for "this but 40k"
You're looking for hive fighting, there's plenty of it
Cause this shit is pretty easy adopted for 40k
Look it up in google 🤨
do warlord class titan duels just involve them standing and shooting at each other
So list what you want.
I mean if you wanna like
Gaunt's Ghosts features a lot of it, one of the Dawn of Fire books has a whole ass fight with Iron Warriors in a city
Reduce it down as much as possible
like , can a warlord juke
Okay, Urban Warfare but not in Hive Cities
No, but they can throw hands
They can move, but its often positioning and support from other engines.
And knowing what shields to divert power to and all that.
Its not a single titan thing.
Most of your cities are going to be hives, the Dawn of Fire one is a city proper however.
Ok
Some weapons break shields better, some are better at destroying unshielded titans, some can arc and ignore buildings in the way.
And so on
There's a lot to it, it varies.
Different Legios use very different tactics too.
the imperial knights seem like they got better juking, then again they are nowhere near as big
all the mech lore makes dreadnoughts just seem so dated smh
I believe the book youre lookong for is Avenging Son, first book of the series. Ends up being Imperial Fist primaris vs Iron Warriors
Whole sequence of astartes vs Obliterators in a mall, its fun
Thanks for info, but still I don`t think I will get my hands on one
Thanks to you I realize there is a Dawn of Fire book I had missed, yay.
I absolutely love that Iconoclast can ||understand the harlequin, and how giddy said harlequin gets at this lol||
when you go into your 2nd archetype, can you still take talents from the first?
another bugged achievement
totally not suspicious
this is the first game i've played where getting difficult achievements is easier than expected
usually it's the opposite
What meaning do these curios have in 40k?
i fucking love tech priests
the mechanicus as a whole can create so many funny and serious stories
Not exactly a typical lore question, but could anyone point me towards W40k community where I could look for DMs that would host a roleplaying session in Deathwatch/Dark Heresy/Rogue Trader system (or some homebrew stuff similar to that)?
Just some random thingy
Most likely the skulls of honored serfs or marines
Basically the same thing as our relics in game. It's an actual practice in today's world too. Basically, those skulls likely belonged to people that were particularly holy or important to the Imperium, and so religious importance is placed on them. Think the finger bone of a priest, or the Spear of Longinius, the one that stabbed Jesus. These are real world relics.
by the Emperor this is far too good to pass up for Iconoclast path characters
I'm NGL
I don't think I've ever enjoyed a game this much
It hits basically all my niches
And nicely too
Drukhari are always the right choice as villains tbh
Just like, no qualms at all about anything you do to them or whatever
Yeah
Ye
One of the few factions in the setting I’ll never have any sympathy or second thought killing them at all lol
Yeah like most dudes I’d feel kinda bad about say, letting a daemon consume and torment them for eternity
But Drukhari
They’ve done horrific things to tons of people
Especially the ones you’re killing in game lol
0 sympathy turning them into a pile of meat
I got this one to help me but I fully intend to gun his ass down once things are over
I don't think he expects otherwise either
Also odds are good any important one you kill gets revived anyways 💀
I'll burn his world down with his help before leaving him in bits on the floor
In a Deathwatch RPG we’re playing my dudes an Iron Hands tech marine who, for backstory reasons and just in general, fucking hated Drukhari above all else, and I always make it a point of capturing alive any leaders we can, and just hanging them up in some room on the ship back to the Watch Fortress and silently watch as they wither away.
Ironically there’s a comment in a Deathwatch book about how Drukhari are one of the easiest xenos to interrogate
Because all you have to do is that
And allll of them, will give up everything
The real trick is just taking one of value alive in the first place but yeah
ya they suck and why I am going to kill the drukhari companion for my personal playthrough since I am basing my current playthrough by how I will act if I was in my character's position and living in 40K Universe.
Yeah I don’t see myself leaving him alive
probably only keep him alive in my Heretical playthrough since Heresy and etc once I am done with my personal playthrough
Yrliet is doing her best to get on my shitlist rn too
though probably going to end up killing Argenta and Heinrix in my Heretical Playthrough
she is fine once you understand her
I mean I get her
she is under the "No Desire" policy
She’s still a dumbass
and she has the basic mind set of her people when it comes to other civilizations
it usually takes a lot for a Eldar to understand a Human
What chapter are you on?
still working my way through chapter 2 and just finish Junas
I've been exploring a lot
so I am behind and my personal life reduce a lot of time to play
then the other games I am playing
There’s other stuff which happens later which colors my opinion more but
I won’t go into that
which involve complete daily quests and weekly quests for those games
That aside....
I wonder if the Blood Ravens may make a cameo again in Space Marines 2
||I'm probably not killing her but I feel she's pretty badly overstayed her welcome||
They only appeared because Relic and they were big at the time
If we're likely to see any marines not from the main groups it's probably something like one of the white dwarf/GW employee groups or maybe, maybe the Retributors in some lucky world
well considering we are about to fight ||Thousand Suns Chaos Marines|| in Space Marines 2, there maybe some "relics" to collect for them
Believe he meant Relic Entertainment, as in the developers of dawn of war and space marine 1
oh the company, not the habit of looting relics
ya then it is mostly up to situation
though considering what happened with DoW3, it is probably the end for the Blood Ravens in 40K series
shame, I would have liked to learn what became of Tarkus, Cyrus, and maybe see how Thaddeus and the Commander are dealing with their Crusade
so
i realized a massive mistake
all this time when i was levelling up my characters i never scrolled past the talents that let you put points in stuff that's not available to the archetype
Uh oh
i thought the list ended there
so i never saw all the unique OP class and character abilities
Lol oh nos!!!
that's why i thought argenta was bad
honestly im surprised i managed to finish chapter 1 at all
Yeah that’ll do it
Lol I need to try rogue trader apparently lolol
Are any of the editions worth it?
Looking at voidfarer right now
Ehh... money's no object. Just needs to be worth the price tag I see on them
yeah that's what i meant
not worth the money
although you do get 2 items if you get the game before january
it's a DLC for some reason but it's free
Im still trying to find a portrait im happy with
I keep tapping in here and seeing full on spoilers but forget to stop coming in here
im currently 3 hours into respec all my characters
this game is too complicated for my feeble brain
im looking forward to the respec process being easier than other owlcat games
towards the end of wrath of the righteous i was spending entire game sessions doing builds lol
i got Seelah the paladin up to 86 armor class
my tip is dont listen to the recommended talents
they just recommend according to the archetype, not the unique character's
Yeah you really need to read it
Lol download is complete, loading up RT for the first time @arctic talon @crystal forum
Just remember that this game is quite a handful to handle for a beginner
be ready to serve the imperium my friend
Just try to understand what the abilities say
or become a heretic, whatever suits your fancy
The best you can because trust me you will need it
this game lulls you into a false sense of security until you hit major roadblocks
Iconoclast is so fun when you can make people feel stupid for believing in Heresy
the navigator points in particular spend them wisely
imagine me
ya but if you plan what builds you want in advance then it will be simple
not seeing the talents that make the navigator good
got to focus on a character to cover each specific dialogue and skill checks as well
and making her into a fucking officer
Oh lord lol
What am I getting myself into
I'm talking about the navigator map
oh
the beginning of a D&D experience
The points that you spend to make new paths or make existing paths easier
40K style
well navigator is good because she's basically a psyker that doesnt increase veil
Always build her as a grand strategist
her abilities hit hard enough and she can support the team from far away
Something I also have little experience in lol. Love dnds lore, but never had a chance to play
yeah im doing that
sucks that she's an officer
ohh yeah jay also found a way to just stack a party together into one singular blob
i found that too
doesn't look pretty but navigation is a lot easier
wait what
It's a godsend let me tell you
out of battle?
yeah
how
you navigate out of battle which means using this you can dodge an entire trap
Without having to micromanage your party
TELL ME
Hit escape and go to formations and then edit one of the formations into this
Stack them in a single piece
Cassia is a must have through all playthrough since she is the only psyker character who does not increase warp anomaly and with a passive she will auto decrease it everytime she use a psyker skill
oh i didnt even try, i just made a very tight formation
she is also a very all round build character so you can make her into a buffer, debuffer, and attacker psyker (both range and melee)
if only her voice lines werent so annoying
personally made her to be my attacker psyker since her range attack psyker abilites are great and never miss
assassin heinrix is one of the smartest ideas i had
that is normal in my opinion
assassin helps him greatly for both attacker and healer role
so he does not get attacked a lot
Lol yall got me paranoid starting this game now
the one i'm stumped with Idira
he can also be made into a beastly tank due to his psyker passive that increase armor every turn by 5% which makes him very tanky in endgame
I don't know what second archetype she fits well given the three choices
ya she is a bit hard to build since she won't get her exclusive gear until around chapter 2 when you do her companion quest events
those unsanctioned psyker gear only she can use makes her very powerful mind that you keep track of the warp anomaly bar
only after a certain point
fucking why
I think you get the first 4 or 3 rests for free
I don't know
I feel it is just to keep players from reseting their builds too often in a single playthrough
which is one reason why I said it is a must to start building to a build in advance and stick with it
i dont understand the logic in that
also most builds take time to reach anyways
my Argenta is being built to be a Heavy Flamer build but that will take a while due to heavy flamer is a obtained by reaching a high rank in the church faction
but I already started working on getting the Heavy weapon passives so she is ready for it once I reach that point
this is the dumbest mechanic i've ever seen in an RPG
Lol I should preface with I am an absolute beginner, and have rarely if ever played a game like this. I believe Diablo 3 was the only top down I'd played before. Sooooo.... lol being real I'm already somewhat lost on just the difficulty screen 🤣 🤣 🤣
welcome to RPG games
This is gonna be an experience I can already tell
more brain than button smashing reflex
Hey, I'm no button masher lolol. More just always stuck to fps and first person/third person rpgs
so i guess for the rest of this playthrough im permanently handicapped in trade value
you barely get any from story too
Well it's done.
Probably the best 40k RPG game ive played, now back to Darktide.

how do you fellas progress in the game so fast
im spending hours on just a single battle
also should i make pasqal a bounty hunter or an assassin
this is a fun ability this is
I can literally just stand still and tank a plasma shot for the friends
that's like the thing in xcom 2 that lets your robot become cover
i need to play xcom 2 again
at least that game doesnt make me save scum to kill 1 enemy
most of it will be from your planet management and side quest actions
Ioconoclast playthrough gets the most profit factor for the obvious reason being they focus more on being Good or Neutral aligned characters that makes more dealings
bro even the easiest difficulty is not the easiest
less killing and fighting, more diplomatic profit actions
@storm jungle lol I'm on normal trying to make my character atm lolol
Are homeworlds important lolol
ya this game will screw you if you're not careful
it is like XCOM
yeah it is brutal
but less risk of failing that 1% fail chance
Yall really making me like... afraid to play this game..
I promise I'm intimidated enough...
well upside is you'll probably be playing this game longer than most games you normally play
My guy you pick normal
I'm over 40 hours in and have not even past 1/4 of the chapter 2 which there are 5 chapters
When in doubt, reload save
also exploit/spam Officers
AND
Yeah the game
BUFF ABELARD
literally tells you to save scum
🤣 I will remember this
Abelard literally becomes a Primarch level teammate if you upgrade him properly
it is not since if you cannot wing it with builds. You still got to plan a head
literal beast
ya he is the best tank next to player character
yes it's always fun when enemies think they are far away enough from him only for him to pull out a melted gun and melt them
Abelard is a god who I have just handed a thunder hammer in one slot and greatsword in the other
Also, nobody answered. How important is your homeworld?
Uhh i dont think a lot...?
It's the bonuses that will be important to you for example death world characters are usually very tough
just read what they offer then
ya th bonus will benefit you a lot in build for your character
Fair... lol I didn't know if it amounted only to that or if it impacted the story any
pick the world that suits what you will be playing
i pick a death world because of the weapon bonuses and the toughness it provides
Being honest, idk what I'll be playing. Again, this is my first go at anything like this. I'm a virgin up in this bish
nice little fucked up detail i noticed
just a random NPC you cant even interact with
Forge world, for example, allow you to pick 1 of 3 passives being Crit increase by INT stats, more Armor based on Toughness (thus adding armor increase with your Toughness stats), and more movement and dodge chance by AGI stats (thus now AGI increase dodge far more and now increase movement slots more as well)
his dad is a servitor now
Fortress World passive will allow you to attack again for free once the passive kicks in
I think my goal is psycher... just because I like space wizards. Sue me lol. So maybe voidborn?
oh boy then you have a lot to consider
from melee, range, buffer, healer, and etc
my vanguard would wrestle a titan to the floor and survive its weaponry
most balanced custom DnD character
All dnd characters are custom 💀
Got more strength then a csm lol
no i mean the people who say it's part of ther headcannon for them to be secretly a god
it's all lore you see
(i've never played DnD but i've watched a lot of funny videos about it)
Something very important is missing in the captain's quarters in rogue trader
Where's the damn toilet?
There's a indoor pool/bath, but where's the toilet
It’s the bath/s
I guess theodora had some Nurgle inclinations then
you dont need a toilet when you have power armour
Wat
also the 40k aesthetic is all about a world where creature comfort isn't a thing
Ok... question. When I'm in the character creation screen, I'm on sanctioned psycher. On its features, it says psy rating of one, and that while my character will be a psycher, they will be a weak af one. Is that something that will change? My understanding was that psycher abilities didn't increase with time like that. Like, you were either powerful or you weren't, could control it or couldn't. But like, my understanding was it didn't accumulate as time went on. So am I just gonna be a sparky boy shooting Roman candles out my wand in celebration, or what?
You got a clearly comfortable indoor pool sized bath, but no toilets?
you can increase the psy rating every 10 levels
Even dark tide had greater attention to detail by adding a toilet
i learned this an hour ago
yeah they are on the bottom of the things for the skills and passives you can pick
so they are very easy to miss i'm talking very bottom of the list
Ahh I just didn't scroll enough
You really need to Scroll down to see them
that's the mistake i made too
same here
for some reason they put the actually good talents at the bottom
You're not the only one
yeah very few of the good talents are above
really need to scroll down to see
Ok that makes me feel a bit better. Still, that doesn't seem very lore accurate lol
yeah i've never heard of a psyker increasing their rating in lore
Sorcery
like if they're a certain level they're pretty much capped at that unless warp stuff happens
But yeah it doesn’t make much sense
But it’s an rpg so
Abstraction
Aka why Abelard is level 1
Lol just making sure I wasn't tripping
if a chaos god favours you then 100% you can become a more powerful psyker
especially tzeench
But realistically speaking Abelard and Idira should be
Right, but that's not your own abilities increasing
Much higher leveled lol
That's you getting buffed with their power
But that would be stupid
Yeah also be prepared to read a lot
the game doesn't do a great job of explaining some of this
bro i be speaking Binharic with the amount of **** you read
that is a lot of dialogue

Lol I don't mind the reading so much, it's the comprehension. I'm slowly figuring out some things though just taking my time and reading them here in the character screen. I'm sure it'll make more sense when I actually get in gameplay.
Debating on what kinda psycher I want to be
If I were you read what they do
the one i'm most familiar with is biomancy
It increases your physical stats allowing you to dumpster everything that breaths
one thing i can commend this game for is that you have infinite inventory space
too many RPG's put a weight limit for no reason
I just pick abilities based on vibes and I'm doing fine
also you should always spend the time to meticulously explore levels
the game has some puzzle elements and they're pretty rewarding
Lol trying. Pyro seems to be the most combat centric (obviously). Diviner seems niche support, and basically buffs dodge and mitigation. Biomancer seems to be another support, but for health and toughness. Sanctic looks interesting. Somewhere between support and dps. And then telepath... I can already tell I hate it... it pulls enemies to it, it has an attack that flagrantly says it will hurt my team and the enemies, and everything is a damn willpower check lol. So that one is just out.
Pretty much debating between Pyro and Sanctic.
dont worry about telepath you get a character in the prologue that has that
Thank God cause that shit looked garbage
Think imma go with Sanctic. It looks the most interesting of the two
keep in mind that psykers are limited by veil degradation so making one entirely reliant on warp abilities is going to get you in a lot of trouble
I'm speaking from a definitively uneducated viewpoint, so it very well might be dope. And I saw that... that's why I wasn't really down for Pyro. Figured being full offensive would trigger that, compared to how Sanctic seemed to be able to play around more with their abilities
i mean
if you get a powerful enough party im pretty sure you can ignore veil degradation
pyro is actually the one I see people complaining about the most lmao
hey Tea do you have toy box?
for rogue trader
No, I couldn't get mods running at all
Why?
this is one of the options you can have on the mod
BASED
Did you try installing it through the Nexus way?
The one in the steam workshop has some problems
extremely underpowered, only works well with combos that are hard to pull off
the fucked up thing is it probably only required like a couple lines of code to be changed
Can't wait till I have a PC lol... mods make me as a console gamer get heated.
yeah I got the mod manager and all that
yeah i dont regret making my character a sniper wielding officer
How is the obviously combat centric psycher underpowered? He'll I'd be mad too. Glad I didn't pick it
I'm a sniper operative, it's so nice
snipers are broken yeah
That'd probably be my next go to since there's no big boys
My and my girl Yrliet on the backline deleting an enemy every turn
Snipers in general
in a game where hit chance is half the battle, snipers get you almost always garanteed ones
Strong as hell tbh
plus extra hit chance above 95% increase crit chance it's so crazy
I'm trying to level up Yrliet soon so I can give her drukhari equipment
"We have dark eldar at home"
My guy she's on the box art
i didnt buy a physical copy
what if guardsman is blind
Lolol
I don't think....
I like the way snipers feel in this game. every time one of them shoots I feel a pain in my liver as if a lasbolt has demolished my body.
You know what, yea. I'm blind lol
Especially with arch militant
yeah enemy snipers are so ridiculously painful
Three officers with the Space Wolf
Can easily clear super hard encounters in a turn or two
Three officers + Abelard + psyker
have a countersniper and they're literally harmless
one time you get ambushed by 2 snipers in chapter 1 and they can literally insta kill 2 characters before you even have a turn
I went 2 warriors/two mid range dps (Argenta and Cassia)/2 sniper operatives
Lol but nah, I figured there were xenos from all the lore(xenos) bonuses and stuff. Honestly didn't notice the drukari in the beginning art lol
i keep 6 snipers in my inventory in case i get sniper ambushed again
the great thing about snipers is even trashy ballistic skills get compensated by dead eye
Yrliet is Craftworld but there's literally a drukhari ship you can find immediately
you say immediately as if it didnt take me 20 hours to finish chapter 1
“Immediately”
wait no, 30 hours
Is that better
I mean finding it is the first thing you can do in Chapter 1
like, you can immediately locate it upon finishing the prologue
I didn't know there was a rumor associated with it
It's also not a planet, it's marked "unknown ship"
what?
Don't need to scan it or anything
I think the pirates are the ones you need to scan before you find out what they are
Logic imo
Awareness is fine to have lower
Bcs your party members can have it
Logic is very valuable for some archetypes
literally all the story skills are useless because in chapter 1 you get a character that can exceed you for all of them
though tech use is important before you find pasqal
wait do you have DLC's
No
then wtf
Look damnit! Yall the ones that said every choice mattered and I had to be hella careful! Yall the ones that made my ass paranoid, so yall the ones getting my questions! Lol dont tell me all that then say this is all useless lol
Cause now I'm lost
Also, I can't figure out which character is rolling at any given time
awareness and all those other skills are just for story purposes
not for combat
unless you count not being blown up by a mine "combat"
It'll be important once your rogue trader is on their own, which will happen occasionally
The game throws a few "gotchas" by trying to catch you skilldumping
i really didnt want to save scum at first but the game kinda forces you into it on harder difficulties
@crisp heath btw always bring argenta and pasqal with you everywhere
you will understand why
(they're the funniest characters)
Pasqal was my weak link so I relieved him of his duties
i love the mechanicus too much to do that
after finally learning how to scroll down i've realized how making him intelligent AF makes him a powerhouse
especially with plasma
Preference to voidship? Sword class, Falchion class, or Firestorm Class?
Kinda like the look of the Firestorm, but it's not really explaining if there's a game mechanic deference between the three
Mostly the starting weapons you will only give a **** about
DLC haver
Considering that you can outfit your ships with different weapons and different components so it doesn't really matter
Arch Militant is infact going brrrr
🤣 did I out myself with that? Yea I said fuck it and bought the voidfarer edition lolol
Yeah the other ships are DLC exclusive you will only have the sword class if you stick with the base game
Lol oop
Well, either way lolol, guess that answers that
I give you: Acheron von Valancius, Stalwart Captian of the Sorrow's Wake, a Firestorm- Class Frigate, and bearer of the sacred Imperial Warrant of Trade bound for voyage into the Koronus Expanse. I bid adieu to those I love, and pray to the God Emperor for safe return.
Figured yall should see the character you helped create
I changed his name after the screenshot lol
I knew this Cuntrad fellow was gonna be a piece of shit
good luck
same reaction
He sounds like he's the type of guy I would kick in the nuts when I meet him for the first time
🤣 right!?
Oh hell no. Then I load in, and I'm getting kicked awake? Yall gonna kick a man when he's down. That's foul....
Cultist moment
#Not all cultists
How do you have +88 weapon skill
FYI, when choosing abilities, your origin/unique ones are way down at the bottom, so keep that in mind for the companions especially
It's probably most important for Pasqal(when you figure out who that is)
Will try to keep that in mind lol. I got to the point where I got the Sister, and decided to stop for tonight to catch some Zzz's lol. I'm beginning to realize how absolutely big of a bite I've taken, considering this game lol... still feel mostly lost, and I wasted 2 medkits just trying to figure out how they worked, and I couldn't figure out how to pull up the menu for like... 30 mins lol. Turns out it's right trigger of all things.... lol the controls are a hell of a learning curve and honestly where I'm having the most trouble atm
Most of the ability stuff, skills and other game mechanics I actually understand pretty well I think, for the most part
It's just the actual battle controls and other minor stuff that's weird
@green loom
Oh yeah it'll take some getting used to
Bit late but I had + 150 or something ballistic skill
And the answer is versatility stacks
Arch militant is silly baseline
I accidentally found blessed bolt casing
Up to 4 attacks per turn just on her own + officer abilities
Hey, to anyone familiar with owlcat games, do you have any idea on what the DLC for rogue trader might be?
it's fun to help people
The dumbfounded faces when I become a good man is always funny
But there's dogmatic, iconoclast, and heretical. The chaos gremlin in me really wants to see what's up with this power she talking about. But also like... idk. Is that worth it lolol?
Also, it'd be really funny to be a Pyro psycher and walk through the flames
On the scale of Logan Paul or your local neighbor how much of a bastard do you want to be?
Lol that's my question lolol
Because like... it's 40k. That bastard well can run deep lolol
You can genuinely do anything tbh
I'm doing iconoclast/dogmatic leaning iconoclast
Next run is full heretical though
Gotcha
Was worried it'd affect my gamelan in some screwy way if I chose one instead of the others
the choices you do can be affected with your convictions
chaos tends to go the most off the rails and has a special ending
some of your companions will leave you if you go heretical
For example if you're an iconoclast you can't do this heretical action
also some weapons and armor need certain convictions
oh yeah
dogmatic/iconoclast characters can't loot chaos tainted weapons for example
Well.. I chose heretical for this. I'm just gonna go with my gut, and see where the character takes me lol. Screw it. I'm gonna stop thinking so darn hard and just let my guy build. My next play through I'll worry about the min maxing lol and shizz
I'd give it a maybe
Yeah right now I'm running a dogmatic and learning the ropes, my next playthrough will be iconoclast and I'll do everything "right", and then I'll run chaos and just be... horrible
I'm pretty sure the ship battle map is infinite
Mfw 4 heavy cruisers
single heavy cruiser alone is already a hard work
well, I just finished dow3
played 2 ages ago
Is it known what the founding chapter for the blood ravens is
It’s unknown
Lore wise the officers of the chapter have a very good idea of who it is
But refuse to make said knowledge public
any well aimed guesses?
Theories range from Thousand Sons to Word Bearers
Wow the chapter 3 end fight fucking blows
yeah **** the cabal leader yeah
She is so ******* strong
I'm very glad evrry single incubi gets to double turn
Turquoise colored spec op marines are cool.
Next question.

They’re cool
The Alpha Legion doesn't exist, I've no idea what you're talking about.
chaos needs tacticool marines too
it's not fair only imperium can get to ignore raven guard
To sell SM miniatures
I have learned about the eldar’s clowns now and I gotta say
The imperiums literal golden glowing perfect guardians being clowned on by the eldars silliest soldiers is really funny
Harlequin aren't chumps that's for sure
Hilarious
There is one that just kidnap people and then they'll reappear fighting for it when he need them
whats in the black library anyway
how does the black library have all that? is it just magical books
Has trayzn ever made it into the library?
Clown god likes writing I assume
Nope
I feel like he would not get a library card
Eldar are a warp sensitive race, who have been collecting information for a very long time
is dante older than bjorn?
Seeing as Eldar and Necron are enemies, no
I didn’t mean them letting him in
Him breaking in
Ye, that wouldn't happen
he has access to webway and the guy is the biggest collector and the library has the biggest collection on warp material
but he's not that interested in chaos stuff, probably too much of a hassle trying to break in
ahriman getting there would be way better story
I mean, getting access to the Library would be like stealing the Emperor
Like it would be way to big of a thing
the emperor probably got stolen anyway, the corpse on the throne id wager is alpharion in disguise
No.
emps will start talking in cawl's body: "who do you think invented all those new gadgets and marines"
40k switcheroo machine is immortal
was vulkan the better smith or ferrus
was vulkan better mini painter than perturabo
probably
vulkan seems like he appreciated good aesthetics
pertu seems like he was better at lego
Pert's minis would all be fully articulated and mobile, he'd just tell them where to go on the board and they'd obey down to very nanometre, they would be the only things he loved.
The primarchs hobbies are all really neat honestly
I think lion was a renowned singer on caliban
For the Vulkan, Ferrus, Perturabo question, which comes up way too much even though I think everyone should know the answer, they made different things
Ferrus made more practical stuff typically which was meant to be put into production
He was more an engineer
Vulkan and Perturabo made works of art typically for the sake of it, Perturabo liked architecture a lot more. Vulkan was more into making beautiful gear.
But there’s a lot of crossover obviously and we have examples of them all making insane stuff from all these areas
Found the quote
‘He can imitate the sound of any animal on Caliban, from the hunting cry of a raptor to the mating call of a serynx. He also has a wonderful singing voice. He knows all the old songs, the folk melodies of Caliban. If you heard him sing Forests of My Fathers it would bring tears to your eyes, I promise you. As far as I know he has never tried to create original musical works of his own, but you can be sure if he did the results would be inspiring. My brother excels at whatever he turns his hands to, that is his tragedy.’
someone should inform the dark angels, they could use some singing
Forests of My Fathers is likely a play on the welsh national anthem
Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau
Or “Land of my Fathers”
Super agree. I actually sorta implemented it in my fallen warband
Ancients, instead of banners, carry tomes of songs and stories.
Is the Pox hound like a normal terran dog?
Think I have art of one
Yeah here we go, Venerable ancient Marwolaeth. Currently interred within a custom dreadnought
He was mainly made cause I thought a dreadnought having a pipe organ built in sounded rad asf
So he can provide his own background music for inspirational speeches?
YUP

Think I have a friend of his somewhere
Here we go, Knight-Champion Carlaen.
Lost his arm to a night lord during the heresy, but he just traded the lad for his chain glaive (and life) so they’re all good.
Im surprised theres no null gene primarch
They're warpy by nature so it doesn't really work
But a good few of them have a passive effect of "calming" the warp around them
who ?
I think Angron was able to calm and soothe those around him before the Nails
Dorn could calm the warp too
yeah
"The Night Haunter personally beheaded the Salamanders' Primarch, ripped out his throat with a piece of cutlery, stabbed him through the chest and virtually tore him limb from limb with his own wicked claws. When these attempts failed to kill Vulkan, Curze had him eviscerated, shot at close-range by hundreds of Bolters, put into a ventilation shaft of a starship's engine and even stripped naked and thrown out of an airlock into the airless void of space. But the Night Haunter's efforts proved all for naught."
bwahahahahhahaha 40k such a memefest
People were like
"Oh my god that is so horrible poor Vulkan!"
meanwhile me reading that and laughing my ass off at a literal looney tunes gag-reel

prob THE funniest part of the book
you like Marazhai
No I just want to randomly throw something at you
||should I feel bad about killing Yrilet||
Yes lmao
I mean it's understandable why she would betray us but that is kind of taking it too far
Too bad
💀
My campaign bugged out anyway so I'll have to go back a bit lol
she is literally willing to sacrifice a piece of herself to a dark elder just to make up for you
I finished chapter 3 and could instantly build everything on Kiava Gamma
at least she regrets what she did and knows it
did you get the master crafted claymore i recommended?
alas thats off the edges
Yeah can be a dangerous place which makes it a perfect home for orks
considering they can just survive just about everywhere
radioactive asteroid fields, literal acidic swamps
Even on places bombed by exterminatus
I don’t think it’s unjustified, I didn’t do it but I think she even acknowledges you’re well within your rights to do anything with her at that stage. Especially if you played like I did with only ever being willing to help and understand her.
Ye
That being said, the Drukhari is gonna die horribly the first chance I get after we leave Commorragh
I'll just give him to Heinrix lol
There’s a part in Teen Titans where Slade catches Robin as he’s about to fall off a building and Robin’s confused and goes “You, saved me?”
And then Slade says “I’m not done with you yet, and proceeds to keep kicking his ass.”
That’s me and Marazhai
The Space Wolf roasting him in dialogue is funny too, I figure him having to rely on me and a bunch of filthy humans to survive is worse than any torture I could inflict
I just gave her corporal punishment because fighting that Kabal leader gave me trauma
F*** that b****
Dude I just swapped to an easier mode during the bit where you have no gear, and even that sucked cause the wounds you accumulate, I only learned later that theres some medkits which heal those traumas. Fuck the entire chapter lol.
I despise that shit in games, at least it was brief but jfc it’s so boring
My guy i was on story
I as a rule reject anytime devs decide "ok you had fun now time to not have fun for like two hours, better save scum too cause this shit isn't balanaced around the class and characters you can arbitrarily get at this stage lol"
Chapter 4 is not any better
Right now i'm using mods for the game because i lost my original save
||Damn, thought that Helbrute would have like two open tomes beside the head or have a slightly more Tzeentch-y thematic going design wise||
Just a little bit, like add some tomes to the design
i believe the reasoning is cause T sons can't actually make helbrutes from their own dudes. they put other chaos marines in them.
Thats interesting
Id have thought they could but they just damn the soul associated with the dust of that marine
And it wouldnt look as fleshy
Especially since the Rubicon should still be in effect
Hehehehehe
mhm
i have just discovered the existence of Screamers of Tzeentch and i find them absolutely adorable
that is all
They become funny discs when made into a mount
i prefer them in their flappy form
Disk of Tzeentch ?
Didn't know they were tranformed from them
is that after it's been disc-ified?
Yeah
the screamers look like manta rays
Yuh apparently Tzeentch will morph a screamer into a disc when a champion gets their mount
Barring the obvious "Jesus Christ", has there been any speculation on the Emperor's many names before the Age of Strife?
Neoth
Alexander as well
as in Alexander the great
Yep
But I don't think he's gotten names beyond that?
hell its not even confirmed if he was Jesus christ
Any likelihood that he could have been King Arthur of Camelot, along with President Abraham Lincoln?
Arthur is probably less likely though cuz the quest for the Grail would likely be beneath the Emperor
there's no real evidence for or against
tbh
The Emperor realistically could have been almost anyone in the History of earth
he's a biomancer
Fair point. Still wanna think that he once wore the identity of Haruhi Suzumiya, though that'd probably be heretical given her interest in xenos, psykers, and temporal anomalies
Emperor was Obama, that's why we always thank him.
You should look up one of the gifs Owlcat posted from rogue trader
where one of the Screamers ACTUALLY floats down to take a nap its so fucking cute
!!! do you have a link?
Im trying to find it 😩
Dreams and desires create a powerful impetus for change. And change is always the domain of Tzeench, the Architect of Fate.
LOOK AT IT
Adorable
thank you for this flappy sky pancake
sorry emperor im turning to the ruinous powers
I am impressed with the effort into some models for what seems to be one off encounters
Or very few at least
Not too sure is this the right place to ask. So Moebian 6th is actually former Imperial regiment, therefore it should have standard organization . Does that mean everyone rebelled? Like for example the entire HQ, commisars etc. also i havent seen any traitor psykers in the game . Just curious
Genestealers were pretty great and I wouldn’t be shocked if I barely see them again ever
We don’t know is the easy answer
It’s not clear whose in charge, if they killed the higher command, if it got shaken up
Could be all, could be none or whatever
Wolfer seems to be in a very high position and he’s just “captain”
And we see other captain who don’t seem to be the same level as him so
Not clear basically
As for psykers sanctioned psykers aren’t common in the guard
Ahhh k got it. Thanks for the explanation.
Yeah its probably going to be revealed as we go along as per the live-service material.
We DO know theres a "Moebian Command" in place so its not just Wolfer, so its very possible once we kill him at some point another chaos villain from the regiment will take his place
Yeah I imagine as the story progresses we’ll learn more and more about their command and probably how and why they fell too.
Maybe, we see corrupted Commissars
It would be a fun boss ngl lol
Yeah as much as people complaining us seeing the entire reason of their fall and details of it instantly would not be as fun
The 6th very much reads like the Atomans specifically rebelling, Commissars are generally off worlders/outsiders
red commissar looks like and actual soviet union officer
It’s not really clear, I’m just saying it could be both. I imagine lots didn’t but some could.
also chaos commissar is cursed AF
Corrupted Commissars are not common but it does happen.
Generally as you say they tend to get fragged
i think we had this discussion before but what unit of the imperium do you fellas think would be the least likely to switch to chaos
Anything tied to the schola typically
without counting obvious ones like custodes
I mean
Boring answer but
Custodes
i just said
Well too late

Sisters of Battle are very hard to turn
Cadians specifically probably have a grudge to settle
does brainwashing really give more resistance or is it the most you know about chaos that makes you able to see the signs
It varies
Knowing more about chaos sometimes can be worse
But the Armor of Contempt is a real thing
the entire reason the siege of vraks happened is because the masses were too loyal to a high ranking member of the ecclesiarchy
Generally that can be an issue yes
so what would be better against chaos:
a) being a gray knight and having experienced chaos first hand
b) being a custodes and being 100% loyal to the emperor
the one without helmet
abaddon didn't have a helmet
he's still alive and well with all kinds of chaos pulling him for 10k years
so is it possible for a rogue trader to have a knight world in their protectorate?
a knight world as in the mech or just a world in the medievel era
the reason a lot of knight worlds got their mechs is because the mechanicum sent explorators during the age of strife
so those kinds of worlds once rediscovered would probably be loyal to the mechanicus
well they had them before that but the explorators repaired them
as for imperial knight worlds, well probably if the rogue trader can convince a world full of mech users that they're in charge now
still, that means if you find a knight world it could be already loyal to the mechanicum
unless it wasnt rediscovered untill now ofc the odds of a knight world lasting that long are slim
yeah especially with how violent the galaxy is after the giant warp storms
yeah
maybe an undiscovered knight world would like how rogue traders function with dynasties
i can definitely see it as a possibility
just unlikely
Knight worlds are sovereign
I don't think the guys with giant mechs ruling over a world for thousands of years with feudal structures would just go "ok" if you tell them you are in charge
At most they'll have a written alliance or something along those lines
they will definitely laugh tho
they're known to be very religious
and stupid
religious, stupid, has big guns... see where I'm going?
rogue traders have big guns too
Not all knights are stupid
if they can "convince" the world that they're envoys of the emperor
Some of them regularly use archaeotech
yeah that makes the most sense
i meant the worlds
I mean
they're stereotypical dumb peasants etc
It can range from feudal to properly post industrial
good luck convincing them you are part of a something thousand years old treaty and you have the right to rule over them
anyway. see what i mean about Heinrix looking like the terminator
i've never heard of a knight world that wasn't stuck in the medieval age
that or some dude from the matrix
it's the jawline
100%
he's got the shwartz special
MEN IN BLACK
that too
i love that helmet
buffs xeno lore and crit against xenos so its also really usefull
now to get him heavy armor skill so i can put on this armor i just got him
Most of the Mechanicus aligned knight worlds are basically huge mines and forges
The Imperialis Knights are feudal
And usually very much stuck around our perception of such a system
But it's a big universe
And GW always says "most" and "near universally"
So people can work in their hive world knights
yeah the mechanicus allied ones are a lot more advanced than the imperial allied ones
Love my knights
Even if they are a bit silly
iirc, the realm of Ultramar has a few knight worlds
They probably have it better than a lot of the solo knight worlds
everything is better in ultramar
Ultramar is pretty bad its just more "stable"
does guide of souls get applied with bring it down with Cassia?
||this world is cursed. first scrap code then word bearers||
||It will get worse||
Stability does allow for some measure of progress at least, until nids show up
||pain||
nocturne of oblivion my beloved
I love how when you explain what hes trying to say hes just
"GOOD WORK VAGABOND MERCHANT"
claps
How bad?
Also is there a mission where we get to encounter the Tau and possibly join them in Rogue trader?
Literally just fascist-rome, just more organized
its not really utopian
it appears I am one of the less than 1% in Rogue Trader who manage to avoid combat above 10 times in one playthrough by convincing the enemy to not fight and surrender/reteat. I'm not even past chapter 2 yet.
That is a achievement in the grimdark future of 40K
chuckle "Bravo"
Man I loved those interactions, made me actually like Harlequins
They say great minds think alike, so of course both Ron and Andy guessed the word "f*ck"....although it's debatable whether they're great minds
Parks and Recreation is streaming now on Peacock: https://pck.tv/3XjpSJy
Season 4, Episode 14, "Operation Ann": Leslie (Amy Poehler) makes it her mission to find Ann (Rashida Jones) a date for Valenti...
Gave me Ron vibes
How feesable would it be for them to add a game-mode to darktide where you have to pick up chains and escort a Daemonhost for the inquisition to extraction.
The mission involves you trailing it behind you or leaving it in safe places, or risking it, angering it and letting it lose and hope it takes out some enemies along the way as well as killing 2 of you?
Or are daemonhosts in lore just way too volatile for any of that ?
Well our inquisitor evidently doesn't mind mass-use of unsanctioned psykers and lowly traitors
So I wouldn't put it past them
Interesting
meanwhile I just want to see a leman russ fire or move it's turret slightly in a mission
or move
anything
vibrate even
I was really impressed with new animations for the new missions of the characters placing bombs upon walls. I definately think it isn't ouf ot the question
I'm just currently looking up notable daemonhosts on the warhammer wiki, already seeing a few familiar names on here that I've heard over Darktide comms, like Karnak Zul
i doubt it given we are literally on the other side of the galaxy from their empire
Arma 2 "Only War" tank glitch: allow me to introduce myself
you mean the one where you can just yeet a tank into the sky by running into it?
Yeah, or just any of the various teleporting tank glitches
saw one video where a dude drop kicked a baneblade and sent it flying. was great
I am not good at Arma 2 at all but I started playing because of Rimmy's videos. I stopped playing when my Leman Russ inexplicably rubber banded, stretching itself several miles away and killing everyone inside, and my team got mad at me for "losing the tank"
oof
I should've hit them with "there was warp fuckery afoot"
Yeah you're a massive figure in imperial high society
i mean thats fair
Warp Lore seem to be the only Trait check that may require player character to meet since companions are lacking in the INT Warp Lore roles in Rogue trader
i cant wait to put Abelard in some power armor so he can be my mini space marine lol
I'm loving my Gentleman-Officer look
he looks german-ish
Would you guys say ||Jae is worth it to have in your party||? Seems like a lot of decisions actually have consequences to varying degrees, and Abe's remark kinda makes me wanna undo it
||Jae will steal from you, but to my knowledge it doesn't cause any major issues with your playthrough. If you romance her, she gets a special ending in the epilogue, like all other romances.||
@patent ivy
The only character I got rid of was ||Idira|| because she was more trouble than she was worth
You serious?? Man I might have to go back an hour or so and undo it then
What trouble was that?
Oh, I don't want to spoil that plotline for you. There's some real fucked up warp shit going on and it sounds like you're almost to that point.
||Idira|| also has out-of-combat advantanges, but it means you also have to use her in combat to get them, which is a liability, so I wasn't going to put her back on my team
Gotcha. I got problems with them too because it is hard to build them in a way I want to use them
The one main issue I have with this game is the leveling up system
Also, ||Jae's stealing|| doesn't hurt your Profit Factor or damage your ship, it's just a plotline that I think might be optional
Oh okay never mind then
I wonder if|| Heinrix will turn on you if you pick too many heretical decisions||
||Yes, if you get heretic 2 (or 3?) or higher, your companions will leave you, except for a few. There's an alternate set of companions for heretic playthroughs.||
Oh really? Interesting
Yeah I think it's just 2 secret/specific companions though. ||Cassia|| stays because she agrees with you on everything, but the ones you'd expect all leave
Kinda want to start my heretic playthrough early
Gotcha
||She kinda has to considering, you know
||
Oh and every conviction has a "secret" companion
I don't know how to get them all but I know you "set up" the companion quest for the secret ones in Act 1 and 2, and then can recruit them in act 3
I did the setup for the iconoclast companion but I'm playing dogmatic, oops
Major spoilers, but if you want to grab them
||Did you guys save the people on Rykad Minoris or blow it up?||
||I saved them and now my menials keep burning their eyes out with acid||
Yeah I'm starting to think I made a mistake
This game really gives you consequences
I like it
choosing Foulstone to become a Shrine world or a Fortress world was a hard choice.
on one hand, making it into Fortress world with the Bonfires of Rightousness path will provide more security and +20% damage boost to daemons and defense against Daemons buff.
Shrine world path with Good tidings provide more Profit factor, efficiency, and Complacency
What yall think the xeno skull on the vet pirate's shoulder is
Generic Alien No.213
Basically my tip for Iconoclast after having finished the game in 77 hours is when the fate of an entire world is at stake and chaos is involved let the classic Imperium stuff take place, theres no point in trying to salvage it. Iconoclast fits more for stuff where being merciful and kind makes sense, a good ruler should always be interchangable between the two, when you are always kind that is a lot worse.
Gotcha I figured I shouldn’t stick to one
Just that the point system made me think so initially
Yeah exactly be interchangable, sometimes a punishing/harsh hand is needed for a setting like this.
but theres no harm in making good decisions either, just dont trust everything upfront and sometimes listen to your gut
Share a pic of the skull real quick. I actually have an idea, but I'm not certain. Wanna check
Iconoclast/dogmatic is THE way to play imo
^
