only the Cold Trader is bi
Also yeah they are ANNOYINGLY horny
No Gale I don’t wanna fuck I was literally just trying to be nice
BG3 companions when literally anyone does anything nice to them
Gale "What do you think of this cool spell?"
Tav "That is indeed a cool spell"
Gale "So it's official we're now dating"
Tav "What?"
Basically lol
Bro Gale is a fuckwad
A friend of mine whos currently playing it is saying a lot of the dialogue is also a bit jank.
A little confusing mechanically
Wait, I can't romance the SoB?
I DONT think they also had a BL writer on board?
which is weird because most 40k games get one
Then what's the point of the game
I keep thinking that BL stands for Boys Love and it makes these sentences so much funnier to me
💀

It’s just not her character
What, you dont want a Boys Love writer in your 40k game?
So can Ad Mech dudes
considering how they say said being shirtless in darktide isnt "lore accurate" you cannot even begin to guess 💀
Mods exist lads
The dialogue is the same as the Pathfinders
Altogether not bad, but some off deliveries sometimes
Or will exist
Being real, romance options are like, the last thing I’m super concerned about in a 40k game
Romances are usually pretty important in CRPGS
its half of what makes them memorable/timeless
BG3 is gonna be talked about for 15+ years or so lol
a big part of that is the cast
The RT thing wouldn't bug me if the Aeldari Ranger and Navigator weren't romanceable
YOU CAN LITERALLY ROMANCE
THE DRUKHARI
AS A MAN OR A WOMAN
BUT NOT YOUR TEAMMATES
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
LMAO
I mean
But you can
Your teammates only know loyalty and nothing else

Dude wheres the Ogryn romance
Gimme the ogryn romance right now
OWLCAT MAKE THIS HAPPEN WE NEED OGRYN SE--

Narp
As long as the romance options in the game are fine tbh I’m ok with them being a select few
It’s ok for characters to not want to fuck you
read that as "I'm ok with them being a racist few"
I was fixing my glasses
If they're written well and there's alot of branching paths with said romances, I think it makes up for the lack of variety
deffo
I just want the Space Wolf, SoB, and Eldar in my party at all times for maximum hilarity
I feel kinda bad for the “normal human but they’re like a former guardsman or something idk” companions
yeah literally there because for checkbox lol
Gotta compete with a Eldar, SoB, space wolf, tech priest, psyker
Like
if it was someone like Merrick from Dawn of War i could see it?
but you know, hes not
so
Fun fact: You can add Wyll to your party in BG3
I know right? Now it’s not clear why you would.
But you can!
Yeah Wyll is just oof
literally you wanna do anything fun he acts as the buzzkill
get the fuck out of my camp you fuck

Also it’s impossible to make him look cool and I was already a Warlock
And I banged his patron
It needs to be a law
Owned
hero of somewhere but literally a bitch for a demon how does it even work and his character arc is, I'm ok with everything whatever
Then he was like “don’t you know that caused souls to suffer so you could get laid?”
It’s like “Wyll I was already into it you don’t need to make it sound cooler than I already thought it was.”
I need to replay it though, curious about the new stuff
The ending was soooo abrupt
cba going through all that for a 3rd time for me
The cutscenes for this are so much better than wrath

The moment these mfers act out I'll be icin' em
You just know that Interrogator is gonna be into it
Gonna need to bring the Ad Mech along everywhere so I can have one guy suggest to servitorize anyone who crosses us
Just like me in any FFG RPG I’ve played
Ughhhh they did the dialogue thing again
What thing?
Where only like 5% of the game is voiced at random inconsistent times
I kinda expect it for most CRPGs tbh
It's a massive annoyance to me, in my eyes there's only three ways of doing it
- Don't voice anything
- Voice every character
- Have a single narrator voice everything
Having one scene voiced and then the next one not is just ugghhhh, the inconsistency of it agonises my brain
It definitely gets irksome at times yeah
especially when they just not even properly voice the starting portions lol
What about voices only on sfx?
Like to me it's like reading a book or listening to an audiobook, either or is fine. But it's like if I was sitting reading a book but every so often at random times certain sentences were just said out loud, it's just annoying.
Oh yea random SFX voicing is fine
How many Eldars can you get?
Nothing too major but at least we finally got a jorunal now
Zola is the traitor guys
The update is called "The Traitor Curse" there must be a traitor on the mourningstar
Ikr
LMAO
There’s another traitor… among us?

Is the eviscerator the chainsword the one that space marine infantry use?
Im guessing not but still interested
no and yes?
they are chainswords at the end of the day. but the model and quality is way different
also they aren't the eviscerators repentia chicks use either
So if you were to give this to a person, would it be too big or look like the eviscerator?
I just thought marines had there own patterns
Yeah, but im just curious if they are the same size as the zelot chainsword
They use “normal” chain swords too
Evicerators come in normal and marine size
And they’re big
Literally as tall as the marine often
Higher quality ones which marines and sisters use often have a power field on the chain too
RT has trigger discipline
reddit finger
Hold on @green loom I have a relevant copy pasta for you
It’s funny, but really though if you own a gun over a year without negligent discharging at least once, you aren't handling it enough. NDs are a natural part of handling weapons, just like tweaking your back is part of weightlifting and car accidents are part of driving. I ND several times a year because I actually HANDLE and know how to USE my weapons. It makes me a better firearms handler and marksman, and it's a small part of the price you pay in the sheepdog lifestyle Simple fact is, the "safety mentality" will build mental blocks in your head that will get you killed. You need to be comfortable putting your finger on the trigger and pointing the gun wherever you want no matter the time, place, or status of the weapon. Taking time to check whether the gun is loaded whenever you pick one up will serve to make you hesitate in a personal defense scenario. You fucking safety idiots are going to get people killed all because of this fucking "ND" shaming. Guns are inherently dangerous, you need to accept it.
Own a laslock for home defense, since that's what the Emperor intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the Throne?" As I grab my powdered psywig and laslock. Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my grav pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's scattershot and nails the neighbors servo skull, crushing it. I have to resort to the plasma cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with increased power, "Tally ho lads" the plasma cannon shreds two men in the blast, the sound and splash set off car alarms. Fix chain bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He bleeds out waiting on the Enforcers to arrive since serrated chain bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the Emperor intended.
Is this just cope about being lazy lol
I think it’s a meme
It was posted in my discord last year and cracks me up every time I read it
I personally dry fire my shit to see if it's loaded
Oh lol
Hihi I'm a bit new to darktide
But my friends had an idea I kinda wanted to share
((Most of them are in this server lmao))
But they think there are things called "gene stealers" around or whatever? Thas why no one can warp travel? When one of my friends heard that in game they were all "aw no they're gonna add gene stealers"
What are they all about?
Also my boyfriend says they could totally add warks (or however they're spelled. Ork kinda people) if they wanted to. Just chuck an asteroid at one of the towers that we see in the main loading screen and jt could work. But I'm curious about gene stealers
Like what are they? Why are they called that? How can they stop warp travel? I'm so curious

Love your stuff dude, god speed with the voiceline diggings 🙏
For, one genestealers don’t stop warp travel, they’re a sub species of tyranids that can infect other species to give birth to weird hybrids
Gotta love kayex being in total distraught seeing the heretics using the omnissiah's works for heretical stuff
They’re called genestealers because they quite literally hijack your entire reproductive system, and whatever kids you end up having will be a hybrid between a tyranid and whatever species the infected is
Really?? So like do they look different? My friend says they're Planet killers or something from how fast they spread around
Ooooo
I wanna learn more
What about warks? Are they good? The way my bf puts it they're like orks
Definitely read the lexicanum page.
Its not too complex and explains what they are pretty basically.
A Genestealer is a species of Tyranid used as the ultimate shock trooper. Their purpose is to advance ahead of a Hive Fleet and pinpoint potential planets for the Tyranids to devour. They are amongst the deadliest creatures in the Galaxy, combining high cunning and lightning-fast reactions and movement, with large, extremely sharp claws that can...
and not too long either
Oh God reading

It looks terrifying and I haven't started reading yet 😭
If you want a tldr, genestealers end up forming cults with the infected people and hybrids, eventually they’ll rise up against the planet softening it up for a tyranid invasion
Genestealer hybrids range from thing that doesn’t look human at all, to looks human but has a few features that are weird
So how did morrow survive genestealers
Smh more of this baseless misinformation.
These guys are all liars, this is why they’re called Jeanstealers
And this happens via generations of them having children
They vat birth kids
Generally speaking
But yes a “family” so to speak is possible
We have examples of them cloning themselves effectively into a kid
That looks cool and disgusting all at the same time
A true warhammer experience
Or having a kid with another Magos or whatever
I’m mailing you a brick
Damn Christmas early
He didn’t get killed
By shooting em
Fair enough
It usually depends.
Tbh we don’t know if it was a cult or like
They’re just a dangerous threat
Just literal genestealers
We should write down rumors of morrow
Like anything else
If they grow actually out of control yeah they are kinda auto-winning.
the problem is
they are EVERYWHERE
which is not good

He was at hades hive with genestealers now that I rember the line from one of the vet persona
Hades Hive is Armageddon
There’s guard who survive encounters with the Necrons and daemons, GSC isn’t exactly the biggest threat compared to those.
I think im mixing it up cuz I also know for a fact he was buddy buddy with old bale eye yarrick
He wasn't
he was just a random sergeant
i think you are mixing it up like you said, since Morrow lines come and go
There was a line abt it
I cant rember the full interaction
Haven't gotten it again so I need to get lucky again
But Morrow is old as dirt
But I know yarrick was mentioned as well as morrow
As far as we know
I should play as male agitator zealot again cuz thats how I got the line
In the carnival mission ye
He’s working for an Inquisitor now at fairly high level on their staff so him receiving Juv treatments treatments can be safely assumed
Its warp travel.
Its explained in like 3 seperate interactions since he got lost during transit

I CANT SPELL TRANSIT
I’d assume it’s both at this point
Morrow is very mysterious
Whenever he got picked up by them
All them rumors
How does he maintain that stache for example?
Ikr
Perhaps we’ll never know
Perhaps he was really at the scene of the emperor executing horus :trol:
I love the humor the rejects have considering it's the grim dark future of 40k
Especially the seer's interaction with the fanatic
It’s a pretty typical trait in 40k books
And the judge with the bodyguard
No doubt all 3 vet personas are already funny
Okay going off topic
What is considered as a real event from the morrow rumors
He's a steel legionnaire
Isn't that like centuries ago
out there
lost in warp travel
As we just said above
can solve that
I was gonna mention that part
Warp travel apparently preserved him making him really old after being found
💀

I need to write down every single morrow rumors possible
One still in my mind is with him being with yarrick
I need to get that line again
Aren't those the lil fella crabs of the necron race
Cute lil fellas
Just a little guy.

I dont care what they do to me I want one as a pet
Rogue Trader is real nice
Look man
I know you would want one as a pet
Don't lie to me
Scarab are babies and deserve kisses
So are the necrons basically going extinct
They can’t reproduce so
Eventually yeah
But there’s still a shit ton of them and it’s hard to kill them so
“Going extinct”
“Endangered”
Shhh shhh
Slowly going extinct
Why did they choose to be immortal just to realize they hate it
Are they stupid
Because they all had mega cancer and were told it was a cure
He was Deceitful
So basically the loki of 40k
True
Especially when it comes to kicking all these whippersnappers ass
Not until the orks shows up
They are not worried about Orks
In some books it’s described as nostalgic to fight them actually
Since orks are literal funguses its gonna last forever
Probably yeah
Hehehehhe
Holy shit discord reference!!!!

Does anyone know why commisars shoot left handed for the most part? this isnt a setup for a punchline
Preference
Gotta have a sword in the right.
drip
lore wise, no reason(maybe their dominant hand?), model wise, there are some commissars with both, could be the way the model is molded or something, but probably just reusing basic poses, and touching on how the necrons were decieved, the world of Necrontyr was basically an irradiated hellhole, they wanted to live longer so they told the deciever they wished for longer life, he twisted their words and turned them into undying robots, technically granting their wish, but none of them are happy about it so they hate the deceiver(and most Ctan) iirc
“The being known as Mephet’ran came to us, speaking honeyed platitudes and halftruths, and to my shame we heeded its words. We exchanged the soul of our race for the illusion of emancipation. My revenge, when at last it came, earned me but a sliver of satisfaction. It pleases me to know that this avatar of disruption is now slaved to the cause of Necron dominance and galactic order. I only hope that this is as torturous a fate for the Deceiver as the weight of failure is for myself." -Szarekh, Last of the Silent Kings
As usual the latest trailer sucked ass

It was just a few shots of space marines standing in a pile shooting at stuff
Gw starts having epileptics seizures if they can't make space marine look cool
💀
Meanwhile we balling in rogue trader
I'm running officer with a longlas
Going to recruit myself a generic goon squad to replace redundant companions
🙏
Being a Psyker in Rogue Trader kinda sucks because you start with a Psy rating of 0 and one psychic talent, while one of your first companions starts with a PR of 1 and two talents, so she's just always there and better than you.
and at lvl10 when you can upgrade to PR 1, she can upgrade to PR 2
So she is literally just always better than you
and that is why im just playing on Story difficulty lol
Alright it seems the game is good then, so if you don't mind spoiling me a little bit what origin makes me the most deranged person to ever exist
I'm talking I will shoot the next thing I see if it disagrees with me even a little bit
a Melee commissar that is off the rails
hmm
ohh yeah it's coming together
I'm playing on normal, it's pretty fine so far
Dude
Melee
Is fucking insane
Especially combined with an officer
Yeah the range doesn't seem bad but i want to be up close and personal
Abelard literally butchers like 10 people per turn for me lmfao
If enemies are bunched up Argenta can put some work in with bursts from her bolter
But it's nothing compared to Abelard literally walking through like 6 enemies and 3 hitting bosses
He's the first guy you get right?
Yes
Oh yeah we're ready
Halo tier shipname
it aint no Shadow of Intent but its equally badass
I'm not playing until there's a patch or mod that adds more lesbian options. I was mainly drawn to the possibility to date Cassia and since I can't I'm a bit sour on the whole thing
How does character creation compare to owlcats pathfinder games btw
Can the process take a few hours
The last ship I named was from some random RP, "The Throne's Divine Demands", in other news, rogue trader looks really good
need to pick that up sometime
Probably play a navy boyo or something
Quite extensive in terms of starting classes and origin and stuff, only human for race but thats to be expected.
Yeah its one we used for an RT session awhile back, iirc it was our final late game ship. Was fun, worked well.
Yeah but about how many hours can I expect of character creation @dusk patrol
Can I stretch it into 3 or more?
Uh, I probably spent an hour, just reading over the different stuff and deciding what the best choices were.
Acceptable
In Rogue Trader?
Peter Griffin cameo was my favorite segment
💀
Yep
How much war crimes did you commit in that span of a tutorial
Is RT comparable to BG3 or are they different enough to stand alone?
well shit, 89% positive reviews on release day? Looks worth.
Its good but not that comparable to BG3 i think
one is massive and had like 7 years of development
It's very close but it's based on the rogue trader board game
^
Yeah but it's definitely one of the hardest hitting warhammer games available you can get no questions
Because it's actually GOOD
Yea, I'll probably pick that up soon.
do commissars genuinely like having ogryns around (yes i know about the treadt them bad thing you DIE)
^
Id wager that the commissar would have a somewhat easier time with em considering Ogryns like commissars quite a bit
I know there’s a couple quotes on how it’s much simpler
The issues being stuff like their claustrophobia
They tend to just follow orders
They’re tough as hell
It’s just on the same token
Can’t get too complex
And you have to cater to their fears and stuff yeah
Honestly it's one of the better positions to find yourself in, all things considered
You have gigantic muscle dudes that can beat a marine to death
anoither morrow rumor i havent heard of
morrow was in morrigar, having robotmen put stuff in his brain
Yeah he got a whole lot of stuff supposedly happen to him
the more i hear these type of morrow rumors the more im starting to believe morrow was actually there when the emperor slayed horus
Funny mind shackle scarab

Man Rodin is quite hungry
they casually dropped the fact that one of the highest members is compromised
It's not really a fact
it's very unlikely that it's true
A lot of these stories are basically "I heard that he wrestled the yeti and threw him into space!"
or chekhov's gun for faction we won't really face for a long time
I really don't think we'll be facing necrons
most likely just a hint for their existence in universe, a new player hears about funny robot men and they indeed exist as a whole faction
Yeah almost any other faction is more likely
Besides more Chaos cults the only ones I think that are likely is a GSC and maybe Orks, but I doubt anything besides GSC and other chaos dudes
It’s of those have a ton of humanoid enemies they can use existing assets to make and aren’t that wildly different from the current enemies
yup just add specialists with a few extra arms
When your stuck in realspace because your warp drive just got hit with Ultra depression
frickin love the mechanicus
Same thing for the Hrud, the Genestealer, the Ratling and a buttload of other things
Orks they want to do but it4s not their time yet, so next game probably
Love it, the kind of stuff I would use if something in the office broke
"I'm sorry, the server is currently going through it's edgy phase and refuses to cooperate, our best priest is on the case"
Which is whats currently happening at the office because the server just gave up for no apparent reason
"Yeah I want to print the report, but the printer just divorced with the scanner 2 days ago, I dont think hes ready for any work yet"
I'm still not over the fact that space marines spit acid. It's like the emperor was designing them in a lab "Ok so: super strength, super resilience, regeneration, 2 hearts, 3 lungs, reinforced bone structure. But something is missing, hmm.... Ah yes, make them spit fucking acid, why not"
It has to do with them being able to eat anything and break down almost anything, the spit is a bonus to it.
A lot of the organs have several combined roles.
it probably went like that, not in a lab by emps but in a board room with james workshop. emps went multiple iterations for years and deemed betcher's gland, which has less to nothing to do with digestion, is necessary for them. then a lot of marines find it ridiculous and useless and it's deteriorated in some legions
He was heavily involved with it though.
But they also didn’t manage to get all they wanted done
The stuff Cawl added later were plans they had for organs which weren’t finished in time
The gland is in multiple sources mentioned to mostly be used to break down extremely tough things they’re trying to eat, either for survival purposes, eating or biting into something for the Omophagea to get memories out of, or personal enjoyment.
The acid spit is more just extra tbh
It’s loss in some chapters and gene lines wasn’t something they preferred but it’s not the most important organ
I believe the current reason is they cut corners during the heresy when making Imperial Fists inductii and it eventually degraded the geneseed enough where it stopped working
The sus membrane similarly is extremely useful in certain scenarios, but they can survive without it
Astartes in general are built around a lot of redundancies and being able to survive in extremely inhospitable environments
If you spit acid, wouldn't it cause a bunch of acid burns in your esophagus and mouth?
it's like snake venom, they are immune to it
Does anyone how much freedom you have with clothing customization in rogue trader? Is there transmog and things or nah?
I saw ppl talking about the game before and idk where else to ask this
Holy shit
Make me think of those dark Protos
The interior of the pyramid ships
I like the darkness architecture a lot in destiny

#DARKTIDE
(I really wish there was closed captioning)
i love how when ever you talk to one of the tech-priests you can be like "can someone repeat what they just said but in high gothic"
also rogue trader has let me with a question. are voidborn abhumans?
Shouldve taken the rejects with abject plasteel addiction, maybe it would've gotten better
Fr
I wonder if we’ll ever meet NPC rejects
Would be a nice change of pace
Well technically abhumans are creatures the strayed from the typical human genome, unless there's some noticable mutations, they're still standard humans
most of them have pale skin and gaunt features. but not all
Maybe, they diverge due to the environment they're born and raised in rather than genetic reasons.
yeah
I guess that counts as mutations but it's still within the typical human template, as soon as you grow an extra limb or elongated necks or arms, now we're talking
No generally speaking
Long shanks are abhumans that result from low gravity/void born
But not void born
Although one of the Deck officers in Rogue Trader does refer to Voidborn as Abhuman, but that's less of a lore statement and more of an indication of his character because he's a noble who see's them as cattle.
NGL, roleplaying as an actual sympathetic, kind and soft spoken rouge trader and watching your subjects just baffled or outright blushing from my kindness, in the 41st millennium no less, it's kinda nice didn't know I'd be into it
Kinda ironic cuz I'm a commosar
so the ships still have to be steered in the warp
Yep, it's basically sailing at pitch black night with only the north star to guide you
That is you know, if no warp shenanigans happen to your ship
it has been shown just acting kind is often enough to get people to like you shown by Ciaphias Cain, so being a genuinely kind person definitely Works
Exactly, during CC, I was like, what if I played a female Ciaphias Cain.. I just maxed out fellowship and all perks that boost fellowship, I'm gonna conquer the sector with the power of friendship
Going into RT I thought I'd simp for the Sister or the Navigator, but instead I've fallen for the Vox Master
turn this grim dark future into an anime
I want to be a melee centered rogue trader
I just want to go in there and straight up have the brute strength to cleave a space marine in two
The problem is i'm still downloading the game thanks to this god forsakenly slow internet
Me patiently waiting to recruit the eldar
An ordo Xenos a dark eldar and an eldar in the same ship
What could possibly go wrong
Sounds like a party
I'm gonna get some shut eye been playing for like 8 hours straight. Damn this game gud
voidborn aren't abhuman, their appearance isn't caused by genetics, it's literally just what being born in the void does to a mf
poor diet and funky gravity i think
yeah, theyre exposed to the warp more often alongside lower gravity
in real life Astronauts undergo therapy after they return from space because being in zero g for long periods of time actually changes your body
yeah it decompresses the spine, redistributes fat
voidborne dont get like, full zero gravity often but lower than on worlds
depletes your bones of calcium
astronauts are near the peak of human fitness when they get sent into space, after a year in zero g (in real life) they can barely walk on earth
whereas longshanks in 40k ARE abhumans, developed on low gravity worlds
mind there's a lot more genetic variance within what's considered mainline humanity in 40k than in real life
To anyone with rogue trader, how is the customization besides initial char creation? Is there dyes? Transmog?
like there's a couple dudes in the gaunt's ghost novels who are just naturally taller than 250cm
another prime example of this is people from cadia, with purple as a natural eye colour
Your char has a set of colour schemes
No transmog as of yet, though I have no doubt they'll add it since it was in their last game
how are people liking it so far?
Or if it is already in I haven't seen it, I'm still in the first system
Loving it
oh it's fucking full price though
i love capitalism
i feel like my party would be way too small if i pick up this game
50€, that's somewhat fine
i can't afford that for a little while
there's way too many types of dude in that game what i actively dislike
hey how does the game justify you bringing your navigator with you out of the ship?
correct way to do it
the new mission is cool but it feels weirdly shut in compared to other missions
missing some of those open vistas
Alright, thanks!
It being a remix of Immortal Imperium really sells the fact that you're deep within the heart of the enemy operation
It's good stuff
And it gives you the vibe everything they're manufacturing is a perversion of the Imperium's technology
Y'know, like what Kayrex is lamenting the entire time
Claustrophobia was definitely a goal in some sections
Unfortunately this coincided with the new fire bug
That instantly drains your health
Has that been fixed yet? I haven't played in a few days
The trek across the apartment complex/manufactorum is pretty much the highlight of the level
also the dickhead that fills entire rooms with stink bombs
There really isn't that much room for maneuvering
Rondin the bastard
anyone out there have a line on bases that would match tertium for 40k/ I am making my characters.
Continuing with the theme of a drug den and red-light district
Another mission where we bust up a casino would be cool
Well, less casino and more gambling den
I love how they lead us to a hookah lounge
and then we bust our way to the real manufactorum anyway
obscura den isnt it
yes
No make it a Casino and we use a Lascutter to drill into the Vault, with Hallowette shouting at us on how to steal the loot
Piece of shit drill
Drill??? Genestealers????
When she steals all over my genes
And have Brunt be the Vocator when we are drilling
Brunt
That would make darktide a 10/10 game to an 11/10
The Quarter Master is an Ogryn
ik
I mean like
We need him actually talking and shit lmao
I want to interact with him
Tho I wouldn't want him to replace his servitor. The servitor is iconic.
Making him a Vocator like Hadron, which is involved when there are using the Servo Skulls
Have necrons and tau really engaged each other that much? cause I'd love to see a book or something with them fighting each other, the oldest race and the newest pitted up against one another, I think their opinions of each other would be interesting to see
They’ve fought each other like twice in total
And it was a one sided stomp in necron favor both times
Well of course
but I just imagine the horror of the Tau, with how unnerved they were by the imperium and how old dreadnoughts were, imagine them faced with the necrons
So I’ve heard if the imperium only had one foe to fight instead of one hundred they could wipe out any other faction head to head. Am I’m wondering if the necrons all actually worked together and woke up would they also have that kinda power?
Like singlehandley slapping the tyranids out of the galaxy
Kinda stuff
Yes, if they allied up they would be able to destroy everything in the Galaxy
the Necrons as a Unified force is straight up deadly
They have super weapons of mass destruction imagine that not being used against each other and instead focus on everyone in the galaxy
If the Necrons fully awakened and were unified they’d shit on every faction
Yeah and there are very little things that can even offer a challenge against a unified necron horde
The basic guns of their infantry can tear the tanks that you throw at them now imagine that in the horde of billions
Necrons also have endless goofy doomsday weapons
And if they ever had a dynasty willing to use stuff like the Orrery in control of it
Shits all OP
Yeah the only thing stopping necrons is convenient plot excuses basically
Even factions like the Drukhari probably can’t hide since the Necrons are one of the rare factions which knows how to get into the web way consistently.
"Time eroded [insert mcguffin here]"
Orks also uniting can at least offer a wall of bodies while the other factions scramble for attack opportunities
the Imperium could never manage that, people forget its not a functioning empire by any means, if there was no threats even left in the entire galaxy the Imperium would just infight each other instead.
Every single ork the galaxy versus every single necron will be one of the greatest cage match opportunities in the galaxy
Orks are really one of the least concerns for Necrons, they already kicked their ass when they were at their peak supported by Eldar and Old Ones and who knows what else
That's why i said offer a wall of bodies providing support to the other factions
Necrons scary, encountered a Necron tomb in a Rogue Trader game once and they atomised my character in a single turn.
They can at least distract the necrons while the other guys plan something if they united
I might be an ork fan but a united necron force is nothing to scoff
Most tomb works awakening are on minimal security settings and they’re still rarely “won”
Only weakness of Necrons is their mindlessness of lover castes
Lore accurate
and yet with their leaders being able to just being revived it`s not so weakening
Only faction to match up necrons are maybe Nids but like nids only have numbers
no Bio-Mass
no numbers
no nids
Yea, we were only supposed to secure the area outside it, but the techpriests were a bunch of xeno nuts so they insisted we go inside to check out I spent the entire time saying "We shouldn't be in here, this isn't the mission" and then one of the Techboys pressed a button, Necrons emerged and I was vaporised instantly.
If somehow the Orks can at least drag out the fight they can grow bigger at least
Imotekh has like one recorded loss and it was because he got caught by himself with only his ship surrounded completely
How convenient
But the other factions are definitely again have something of their sleeves for such an event

yeah the problem with the necrons is they are broken levels of OP
for example we got the Pariah Nexus coming up
whats their excuse for not wiping out the Imperials and Cawl?
Infighting
as usual lmao
yep

They already finished the tech trees a long time ago
I bet that’s what’s going to happen
Same
Casual situation for "poster boys" of the season
Their fuckin infantry have guns that can straight up kill wolverine if he got shot in the head
They aren’t poster boys tho
Not even just the head
They’ve always been like this
The rest of his body would be in severe pain
Nah I meant like they are main part of bigger event
Ultramarines have like no real wins against them
I now that they were always OP
But like now they will get more attention and become maybe even more OP
Hey the imperium killed an overlord
💀
It’s like anything, obviously GW isnt gonna end the setting
Yes
It`s time to steal necron orbies
also yes
What does Necron orbs do?
Like what is their purpose
oh
They help other Necrons nearby reanimate
They’re not needed to resurrect though
For the orb overlords hold
They just help
Yeah
Their killteam is hard as shit to play ngl
I at least will try
Majorkill is saying in a video that they've retconned major lore to say that the old ones were battling Chaos for like a billion years, and that the Necrontyr were also around and even working with them apparently. But he's not quoting any sources/specific books. Is this actually true or is he just blowing air?
This isn't a youtuber I've watched like at all so I'm not sure how trustworthy his lore videos are
He's usually correct about lore but he interlaces popular memes into his analyses that can be misleading
The story he is referring to is Wild Rider
It’s from the ynnari books, it’s a bit off but close enough
that's like
enormous retcons
I mean the whole reason the old ones were able to seed the galaxy is because the immaterium was a peaceful realm with no chaos and they could easily warp through it
Also the part that’s off was that it was eldar working with the necrons, not the old ones

Which is a pretty big thing
Which means there was a time post war in heaven where they interacted in a way that didn’t involve murdering each other
The fact that they interacted post war in heaven in any way that involved necrons not being asleep makes no sense
I am going to move on and pretend this does not exist
what do you think the % chance of codex zoats
they mentioned in the newest christman
episode
i mean
video fuck
i kinda, really really want it lol
Low
i love centaurs tbh lol
Like incredibly low lol
to be fair the squats meme became reality so
Zoats are way less relevant
yea but, lmao
Regarding popularity
fair
Running joke, been in like the past 3
I like zoats
me too
Besides the fact they have more official minis than the fallen do
I like them more in fantasy
when i get the fuckin, leagues of votaan im probably proxy a zoat as something
The bloodbowl zoat is dope.
zoats old world when!
wait the fuckin
realy ugly beast minotaurs
Zoats are in wood elves
Yes
really?
why???
Because
They live in forests
The same ones wood elves like
And they’re friendly enough to each other
is this bloodbowl lore or old world lore
But they’re not that closely connected beyond fighting alongside each other
Old world

i love wood elves
Wood elves make the trees speak elvish
sidenote im so excited for aos wood elves
And everyone else panic
As in wanderers right
woops
Aren't wood elves generally the weakest elves in fantasy literature? Idk much about AOS, just in general?
And are these basically AOS's version of exodites?
So... basically what all wood elves are, and a bit of cernunnos
which is way all the old elves were purged lol
yeah but, DEER MINOTUARS!!!
arent they the coolist shit possible
@rose thorn that's what Cernunnos was...
The Horned God
She forgave them at least heh
yae, probably in a year or two when cities get finished in 3.5 or 4th they should come back
dwarves and wood elves and dark elves need their armies or get proper aos models
Dark elves are getting an army
yee shadow aelves
They’ve been teasing Maliketh is up to something
Cities of sigmar is gona get more dwarf and elf stuff eventually I’m sure
definetly
No traditional esque dwarves as a faction is weird ngl
Then again the khadron are cool
Yeah
Tbh
I’m expecting chorfs
Before normal dwarfs
Mostly since they’re really hinting at chorfs recently in AoS
yea lol
We've got the foundation for dwarfs
they will most definetly will
i wonder how they will do a spin on classic dwarves will keeping them traditional
cant go too mechanized or else just Kharadons
yea
Cities of sigmar is Order soup anyways
They can take pretty much want when they want lol
i want the factions to work toegther again
I can't imagine another Dwarf faction, probably just additions to the Cities
in cities
There's already both the Kharadon and the Fyreslayers
to be fair the human elves are peek
its the 2 extremes of dwarves
We have 3 dif elf factions, 3 dwarf factions are fine
ESP since people really don’t like fyreslayers
we need a good middle ground
Give big artillery
Yea, it's why the default Dwarf is kinda an off add, because their two identities got split off into two factions on the opposite end
We could get something else entirely
Realistically speaking I think any old world esque dwarfs, elfs or humans
Are gona be in cities of sigmar
CoS are Ironicially too human focused rn
Yep, default Dwarves and Elves will all be on the Cities
beastmen
lmao
very
new beast models look amaizng the old ones look like a bee sting
idk if i want a furry race besides beatmen
it could be cool or really meh
Aren't a lot of the Skaven models quite old at this point?
yeah lmao
Pretty sure most of the Skaven models are just the Fantasy ones with new bases
my partner played old world and almost every one of her old world models are still in the gw store
I'd love furry 40k and AoS factions, just for the rage they'd generate
AoS is funny as shit ngl for one reason
You see some of the most beautiful and modern sculpts ever
And to the other side you have this resin goblin that hasn’t been touched since 2001
i hope they go something unique, like elephants or something
Too similar to dnd
Eh I always play kitsune in pathfinder so my preference is known
Rumoured to be the next big release iirc
They already have elephants with guns
no thats hippos
oh yeah
In dnd the Loxodon are the elephant guys and they're best as spellcasters
tbh, i only play humans or half humans
I've never played human in any tabletop game with race options
the average in teh realm of crazy
I just rolled up a Kalashtar
the least human race im playing is the snake people half bloods
"in dnd" i hate that phrase
Seraphon are scalies but they're good at it
good at it?
They're good at being scaly
Dang
honestly a multi racial furry faction for disctrucion would be cool
Why’s that lol
I’m interested
Also ngl I play pathfinder more nowadays anyways tbh
soulblight is like 4 factions in one tbh, i dont think death needs too many new things atm
They just are. They're like angel guys now and still Aztec. Good at being scaly.
so putting aside for a moment the fact that i hate dnd, describing something as being an essential part of dnd rather than something from a setting which is common to dnd is really um
i cant think of another pillar of death taht isnt filled
prescriptive
As in a new Death faction ?
Death is prolly the most complete faction
yea
Unless we want tomb king copy cats
which is kinda sad but eh
the bone reapers fill my love for skeletons <3
i think it kinda sucks when D&D forces new shit into its settings so they can make everyone buy expensive new books
and so does so blight
Easy one would be one themed around the Tomb King
it also homogenizes the settings
I spent all of 5e waiting on a Dark Sun update
eh, maybe a warcry or under worlds team, but a whoel faction would feel redundant
like warforged were unique to eberron, now they are everywhere
i just homebrew everything for dnd
Dark Sun is the best setting hands down
they're in forgotten realms
i dont bother with the books
Tbf everyone was running Warforged in the realms anyway
same, but something cool but just fursona army
not just*
if its just a bunch of wolves in armor woudl be kinda disapointing
Atm they have Ghouls, Skeletons (Ossiarch), Ghost and Vampire
I think there could be space for a more Frankenstein inspired faction
i'd put it on the same level as planescape
which is to say very good
Beastmen Fellgor Reaver
there is like, one Frankenstein thing in warcry which looks kinda cool ig?
Eh I don't like planescape, if I wanted to do planar stuff I'd go Spelljammer
you don't run planescape for the planar stuff, you do it for sigil
I remember that there was one in Blood Bowl
I don't like sigil
too bad, it's still good
that owns
a mean a werewolf faction or at least models for soulblight would be cool. but that one dynasty thats al about that already has way too much stuff lol
40k does have beastmen, not using them for anything but chaos sucks
genestealer cult :)
yeah i love them
Traitor guard tbh
yeah they are my favorite army im too poor for
i use to not like htme
but then
assension day
my immortal undying support for whatever the fuck the gsc gunslinger's deal is
the best 40k book
haven't read it
besides
what's it about
spears of the emperor
so, you know those historical ficton books thats a first person pov of nazi france
its basically that with admech and gsc
they hide the mutant children under the floorboards
and secret tunnels
i don't, no
oh
well admech abducting children and extermintating mutants on a planet
with a guy who wants to use the gsc to take over
its really good
i cant remmeber how much it was but its cheaper then most audiobooks
and the ebook and physcial books are dirt cheap
i might have a look
You know, compared to Vermintide 2
Darktide has a severe lack of dual-wield weapons
I wonder what dual-wield weapons would be "in-universe" for our rejects
Pretty much any would make "sense"
But like the easy to show would be Catachan Sword and Dagger
Who's above again? Caedo or Titus
Titus I think, Caedo is a Sternguard, Titus a Veteran Captain
Titus isn't a Captain anymore, he's now a Lieutenant
So that means he is a primaris now
