I love all the NPCs so far. Melk as a person I dislike a lot, but he is so good at his trope/role that I like him as a character. Hallowette and Hadron are probably my favorites, but I always prefer girls, so thats not really fair. After them it's gotta be the hair cutting guy and Brunt though. Not sure how Zola loses out to those two but thats life, probably me just not liking managers xD

i made "blindfire" a retreating move

and increased the damage penalty on it

so it would move back 1 space and it had a -20% modifier instead of -10%

and that was a massive buff

i think giving arbalest any mobility at all makes the character a lot better

bcs shuffle messes her up super badly

and she needs proper mark synergy

except most mark comps are okay with being thrown around

she occupies a weird niche, if there were more markers in the game who also didn't like getting moved around

that made some of the weaker characters a bit better

but i stopped at arbalest

i changed some other things with her in terms of numbers but i can't remember the specifics beyond blindfire

Tbh my favorite rebalance of darkest dungeon is also a total overhaul mod

bounty hunter's "finish him" skill does bonus damage to stunned targets

which is okay

but you're not really running bounty hunter that often

so i changed it to also do crits to marked targets

I don't think it really matters exactly what it is. Didn't the devs come out and say the psycher believes its the emperor? Imo, that belief is more important than the things identity. It could be any number of things, from mental illness, to positive inclined warp entities he chanced upon, to a piece of the emperor. It could be something in between these or none of these. But like, in the same vein as directing schizophrenia towards art so that it can be applied constructively to the persons life and isn't solely a disability, I believe his belief in it being the emperor helps him cope and let it guide him.
