TORNADO YOSHIDA
dressed up as him in a convention
They named ocelot's guns after him in 5
There's no way his name is fucking Tornado
Yeah
Yeah kill this guy with a thunder hammer, yes arbiter sir right here
SKIBIDI SIGMA GUILLIMAN RIZZING UP ELDARI GYATT YHVRAINNE?? (they had one conversation)
Ohio moment (Ghoul-lee-man is a heretic)
Ghoul man?
When the loyalist says something so warpphobic so you hit them with that mutant stare
Strigoi are some of my favorite vamps for some reason, Ushoran is pretty cool too
Upiórs are a personal fave of mine
Dumb question where is the realm big E soul in the warp?
Not really how the warp works in 40k but also there isn’t one partially cause he didn’t die and he hasn’t ascended.
But he did become a god
Because the sister magic shit did happen
And the saint are his demon
So he living god?
Average Luetin video
I watch adeptus ridiculous
For less sleepy
By no offense luetin is great at this lore stuff but it get sleepy sometimes
that podcast can get very wrong and bantering a lot of time
there are so many lore channels now, just pick your poison nws
yes
or better, just read books
I know something are wrong during the podcast but it has space abs
Space abs of the world eater ship captain forgot her name
He didn’t as far as we’re aware
Also saints and LotD and stuff aren’t the same as demons and daemon princes
Faith magic stuff in general has some distinct differences
Just gotta enjoy Oculus Imperia
It's not clear
Evidently faith in him spawns some sort of power
Though bricky has a bad habit of regurgitating random crap and DK is just pretty stupid
Saints as far as I'm aware are actually much more orky manifestations of faith, formed of belief, unlike demons which are basically expressions of the chaos gods
Bottom up versus top down
They also tend to get visions of a frail ma n
Which has become fairly common for emps
But again we dunno for sure how Big E and his god-ness work
man, I hate their shitty coomer patreon art promos lol
Yeah all of bricky's patreon content is generic anime garbage art lol
LOoks at Patreon
"They make how much money?"
yeah the amount of money bricky makes from patreon is actually depression inducing
Yeah like i love bricky but uh
his way of presenting lore does not really include anything new
I like bricky except when he's doing warhammer
so he more or less just sits on his ass and has the other guy react like a toddler to everything and make money off it, wish it was that easy IRL lol
I swear 99% of his charm disappears and he becomes borderline nonverbal
LMAO

as long as his explain kinda stick to the point 60% i will stay and listen if pure meme gone
18 000 dollar a month? holy shit
darktide is a game where we operate within a simulated environment produced by a STC AI
wish i can make that much in real :v
Why would you think this
just shock really
Yeah welcome to why most of us dont like it
again reminder
all they do is sit and read lore
theres no prep, no presentation, just go through it and make funny reactions
I don't think they even have a vague script
Bricky does but its just cliff-notes as he said so himself
I'm happy for them. Get that bag video game man
yeet
He's on the grind for sure but the guy makes 4 years worth of wages for my family
yeah its entirely understandable to dislike rich people
well complain not gonna do anything as long as i dont in debt or go hungry i happy
I'm sure the patreon ans poster money is shared between all 3 of them, maybe other people if they have any help with production
I can get why people would call 6,000 each a lot, but I don't think adric is making them rich
Honestly they all do other stuff and this is just a side hustle lmao
6000 in my country are a lot
Its deffo making them rich
bricky spends the first few minutes of every episode begging people to buy merch and it works lol
its the only part I skip

That’s not their sole source of income
And 72k a year starting not including any other projects is really fucking nice
well i happy for them, they are intro me into 40k
Yeah bricky knows how to hustle his fanbase. They sell cups, t-shirts, even flags.
just shock that he make that much
Good for them and all that but yeah they’re doing quite well
I'm waiting for them to release a waifu poster i actually like because I feel like my family isn't ashamed of me enough
Even if it was just 6k per that’s enough to live comfortably as long as you’re not an idiot with finances
I remember finding out I make more in a month than Turkish doctors make in a year and I don't know if anything else has ever created that mixture of pride in myself and sympathy for others
Yeah as a Turk our money is literally worthless
to put it into perspective, steam literally removed our currency
because it fluctuates and changes way too much
LMAO
return to lore chat this turn into fiances chanel real quick :v
you guys should convert your entire money into dollar overnight that would work i think
Aight hold on i got something
Oh yeah I know it, I have a Turkish friend who was literally crying with happiness because she got paid in euros for the first time
This is definitely lore
so anyone explain to me the timeline of the nexus seri
that is after event of 9th edition ?
Good news @soft thunder, new cosmetic sets got some real juicy lore
Also yeah basically. With the Imperium on the backfoot.
We are now soon gonna get some continuation to the Pariah Nexus storyline in a more general-perspective since Cawl is going there to sort some shit out
Yeah but in the lore they aren't nerfed.
In the series the Salamander gets very lucky lol
do we know how the imperium handles oceans militarily speaking
sala also did good
because i assume the 21st fighting on incron would have to be accompanied by a navy
Iirc you had naval battles on Armageddon
Lore deathmarks are probably the best snipers in the setting, tabletop deathmarks are the worst snipers in the game
They're sometimes preoccupied
Also because naval battles are cool
seems to me like a traditional vessel would be very vulnerable to orbital fire
The Imperium just throws whatever it has laying around at planets, they're a horde. Sometimes that includes ships.
i guess it could be for cost efficient transpot vessels
Also a vessel that can just float in the water can hold the seas better than flying patrols
Well yeah we haven't had lore on him or friends since
If Lion is Arthur, does the Dark Angels have a Merlin?
He's called Ezekiel
now with the fallen come back
i bet he dont like it
Called "Merolaen"
the lion shield i think it is a big E metal thing on his armor no?
That's what it's referencing yes
Yeah I love how Lion's shield is literally the emperor's tilt plate
so the primach if he return maybe covus
to have his claw
he a deamon primach now so it consider heresy right now
Corax is not a daemon
I think the current "maybe/maybe not" implication is that Tyberos' lightning claws are Corax's claws from the heresy era
So he'll definitely have a new weapon
Rogal Dorn maybe, as he is missing that had iirc
rogal is high maybe
Dorn is definitely getting a power fist
he did consider dead
I feel bad for the later Primarchs which return, like is the last guy to return just going to get the Emperors hairbrush?
more like something in big E vault
Russ already has his spear, I do think Corax getting his claw seems pretty likely. I don't know if Emps had some kind of bow, but the Khan with some weird psychic greatbow would look dope.
right now the chaos have 3 demon primach
Russ will be next back 🤞🏻
Russ or Vulcan at a guess but I’d rather Russ
Yeah my guess is Russ next, then Corax so people can run him against Lorgar, then Dorn, then Khan
russ also have high chance
vulkan still wwait for respawn time
The rest don't
I think Vulkan will be last but it's going to be super hyped up
or any GW space marine faction have hight pop rate
I would put Corax last, but I think they're going to release him pretty close to Lorgar because that's when he would sell best
Logar will run off again if corax showed up 😂
I'd imagine Dorn would probably be one of the later ones
I'd expect a new kor phaeron before lorgar
Yes
fuck that asshole
Both he and Erebus are active ATM iirc
With the magic that is warp fuckery anything is possible 😅
erebus i know he still alive but that asshole for a person i thought lorgar rip his ass
he treated lorgar like shit
and lorgar was definitely ok with it
I think after Fulgrim is officially on the table in 40k, Lorgar is next
so maybe few thousand years
I don't think erebus needs to worry about lorgar, he would be wise to avoid kharn
also the nid
man the nid just fuck the imperium up
even golden boy have to jump in
Silent king got plans to fix that
He’ll have some super weapon from the war in heaven left that will be last resort that he doesn’t want to use yet is my theory
or he just tele into the golden throne
some how bring big E back to deal with the hive mind
Possibly yeah, don’t know how well that would go down when tera is flooded with demons when he gets up though
Unless again the necrons have a way to seal the webway
Which they probably do
back on cadia the necron did have the pilon
Yeah but there for warp rifts not the webway aren’t they?
so if somehow the eldar the human and necron combine force and shhut the eyes for good that would be the end game
if they have something in that scale they will have thing for webway
For chaos not the nids though
I’d love to see how that went down with the inquisition lol
There’d be another civil war within the ordos 😂
alway a civil war within the imperium
maybe ferrus?
but then again he kinda got decaped by his best friend
what the fuck is this
Tech heresy 😂
why is so goffy
finally accurate walking tank
it's still very gooby
now that is more reasonble
Salamanders secret termi armour
Late but basically everything is vulnerable to orbital bombardment in 40k, the problem is the navy itself. They usually wont want to waste resources on stuff they see as "above" their station, the Imperium's biggest issue is itself where everyone argues and almost nothing usually gets done.
Can’t remember if vulkan built it aswell as designed it
if cawl make the first version it is true in the lore
It’s already in the lore but I can’t remember where I’ve read it 🤔
do we have official water navy art
i assume it's quite rare
Deeds Endure i think
this terminator mark doesn't even have a name but people have accidentally started calling it the Saturnine armor even though thats not what it is.
I know they were going on a suicide mission or something and the salamanders rolled up with that armour
yeah its for breaching/bulkhead fighting purposes
Yeah that’s it
found it the lost data of termi of the golden boy
Kitten lookin like a proud father
The Lore tidbit in the Zealots new headgear mentions them installing loudhailers in their rebreathers, so does it also have a voice modulation effect like the Diadem does?
Pretty sure its just flavor-text
Daww, I like the voice effect
I'll give it a test after this maelstrom match
I’d like to know that as well
My friend was begging me to get the diadem because he loves the way it sounds on male judge and that’s what my zealot is but I don’t like the look of the diadem
I love the Diadem, but would be nice to have other options and keep the voice
yup it was added to the files a couple weeks ago, saw on reddit and view-all-cosmetics mod. Have they been officially released today?
Yep all 4 sets, all got individual lore bits
niiice

can finally join in on my planetside kindred's drip
Man I cant wait for you to put this all onto lexicanum then the entire sources list is just cosmetic after cosmetic name
I'm still on the lookout for the 13th war of infidus brim and "helemts on - heads on" moebian saying if anyone comes across it.
ya... lol I'm thinking of how i'm gonna do that still lmao the regiments page has almost 30 item descriptions alone. Then there's the luetin video timestamps...
Okay so as per lexi
Literally just list every cosmetic source, for the Luetin vid just the whole thing.
You can prob talk it out with the lexi peeps, they are usually pretty chill, and you got literal evidence that half the planet/situation lore comes from these items

Ya I'm still double checking thinks on the fandom page first drafts. but ya the lexi peeps are cool, just haven't sat down to put big work in on that yet
Yeee it is a lot.
the in-game voicelines are the real issue in sourcing lmao
That you can also get away with i think
Point out to the credits that this game had 7 Black Library authors working on it. We got one here that also did dialogue work too.
so I'm just cataloguing everything i can on the fandom atm, moving onto voicelines now that most items are done. 7 BL authors? I haven't really looked at that yet lol, I'll be sure to add that somewhere
Yeah you can go look at the credits + fast forward
Off the top of my head we definitely had Phil, Matt, Abnett and Sarah do stuff
explains why the lore and stuff is so well built and in line w/ default imperium stuff all over
Abnett did most of the like
Meat
So to speak
Think GRRM and Elden Ring
Then a lot of others did dialogue
Here it is.
also yeah what Ed said
We got extra confirmed information on the 2 week old blog post that uh
Dan also helped with the Carnival maps
Show this to the average Grimdank user and they'll immediately convulse
lmao
Luetin has more filler than one piece ain't no way

M- m- m- Ma- Ma- dies
ya I transcribed the parts of the vid that are actually new lore only found in his vid, while it is a decent amount of lore for benchmarking the timeline, it's like 10 mins of talking at most
Either way though yeah the lexi dudes basically only care about you having sources, as long as you got evidence they wont climb on your back to demand corrections
otherwise they are extremely chill compared to the wikipedia grognards

This Mothafucka can stretch a conversation about 10 ork guns into an hour long video
christ
6 minutes per gun
How
Dis 'un shoots lots n' lots n' lots n' lots n' lots n' lots...
...n' lots ov dakka, and dats why I luv it.
is he one of those people who are weirdly rabid in their anti tau sentiment?
For me, it's because he talks for so long that it's actually an attack
Like you can get cc'd by him talking
Yeah he got a lot of flak for his tau video which literally was just a 1 hour rant
It's not even a joke
and then he tried to play it off cool lol
that'd be why then
that's why ppl like him, helps ppl sleep fr lol
LMAO
also i already know most of the stuff he's talking about lol
100% right
it's literally a youtube lore vid genre feature, no jest
It's just that every video it seems like he is doing an assignment to meet a minimum word count of like 1 billion or something
A lot of his videos are an hour long
Have you watched his video about the Warp, where he wants to be a nerd and try to explain what it is but instead ends up talking for an hour about basically nothing

Don't
I used to watch some lore youtubers before I actually read any lore, then after I started reading lore somehow every time any of them talked about the bit I read it was slightly wrong
i have not
I'm now assuming no lore YouTuber has ever said anything true
Everytime i remember that i go back and read the end times to get rid of it
correct assumption
They mostly do but its few and far between
some bother some dont
Most YouTubers use massive hyperbole or misquotes mixed with old edition stuff
Yeah lore 40k is already one hell of a shit show so if i were you try to research it yourself
But there are genuinely good lore youtubers
Most lore is old edition stuff so that's less of a problem, but somehow it turns out making engaging content and accurately portraying lore don't overlap much
@dire apex @rocky gale bad news, its just the regular gas mask filter
you know what, good
Shame, would be cool if they update it to match with the description, iirc the diadem didn’t have that filter to begin with either
i constantly mistake the weird vox filter zealots for an elite or special voice
It does make make male judge in particular sound like a mauler yes
I will continue to watch Oculus Imperia
Less lore unpacking, more in character retelling of existing material.
That's a shame, but thanks for letting me know
Baldermort strikes me as good fun
Yeah Morrow/Rannick talking about Zola being sus
So much for the price of loyalty huh
the way he says, emperor protects at the end reminds me of the fanatic zealot initiating conversation about rannick not being a man of faith. Can't remember the quote though
Wait is Rannick close in rank to Morrow?
Or does he address Morrow as “sir” more out of respect than obligation
Bruh hes literally in charge of the entire operation
same
Inquisition ranks are kinda weird but yea Rannick is most likely technically the highest ranking person on board the mourningstar
If you don't count the shipmistress, I guess? Maybe?
Rannick is inquisitor Jr.
Less in the chain of command and more just the one in charge of the ship itself
God the game needs like an in-game codex or some shit
rannick is basically grendyl until grendyl has to deus ex machina into the plot
Just somewhere to aggregate the flavor text
Yea Rannick essentially has Grendyl's authority until stated otherwise
Jackie put it best, an Interrogator is literally a Junior Inquisitor
It's a formality
i think savant has a line where she says atoma is a test for rannick
But Morrow is technically Rannick’s superior?
"sir" isn't always used for a superior
like atoma is a small part of grendyl's grand plans he's do big things out elsewhere probably, galaxy on fire all that. Grendyl just want to make sure supply chains are working on the domestic side and rannick is cleaning up the house
^
Basically uh
imagine a company boss
and he assigns a manager to oversee a certain office floor
that is what Rannick is
Inquisitors do have ranks but usually they're kind of 'above' most guard elements so I wouldn't say Morrow outranks Rannick even if he's the one more directly in charge of the military elements at their disposal
yeah no he doesnt
Rannick's authority is absolute
its why you can see Zola lie about having Rannick's permission going planetside
Rannick is just being polite
Ye ye
rannick is a senior apprentice inquisitor and zola is a brand new green baby apprentice inquisitor
Grendyl (Inquisitor) > Rannik > Zolla > Melk and Morrow (Primes)
Hadron i think is a difficult character to put on a hierarchy level
Zola Melk Hadron and Morrow all basically have the same rank it seems
Rogue Trader doesn’t even know what her deal is
Just different roles
./s
nah she w/ the grendyl's crew.
They’re “officers” within the warband
This yeah
Inquisitor retinue members usually outrank most goons because you are a part of the Boss Crew.
so you got some authority to order people around since you are above the rabble
Interrogators are always second to the Inquisitor
Then she would be part of the Rogue Trader retinue
yeah the Interrogators are the lap-puppies
I’m kidding lol
its why Rannick is also arrogant as shit
It’s like the Betty White joke where “she’s always been there”
But, that doesn’t mean they can always tell the other dudes what to do, but in this case it seems Rannick is in charge of the ship and operators or less
Brahms hates rannick based on future dialogue, since she has history w/ grendyl she sees him as an annoying baby weasel inquisitor compared to big papa
Yeah but still more tolerable then leandros the nerd marine
But obviously they trust Morrow and everyone else to do their jobs
Rannick sussus amogus
I know all those words, but arranged in that order, they’re a mystery
Mate these guys make Jackie appear proper and civilized ( no offense Jackie )
Fuck you that just means I need to be even more of a degenerate
Who even is Thunderpsyker
A random 40k youtuber that voices the main custodian on the TTS show
Oh I never knew their names exept for Russ I think
Zoran the bear
lmao fair
Yep him
Gotta love a custodian named kitten
Eh you can't possibly go even deeper into the degenerate hole
True
My weakness is having morals and basic decency
This is so sad

NGL I can hear it
You do not want to be on the same brainwave as those guys on the comments
Trust me they wouldn’t want me neither
“Fascism is murder” is kinda redundant but I get the point
me as the pogchamp for real for real
The fact that GW had to come forth and say these itself is hilarious tbh
The hardcore imperial fanbase is usually about as blind as actual fascists 💀
God I love the Imperium of Mankind
We should organize society in a similar fashion irl
It would go SO well
they made a space fascist parody setting and obviously attracted all the fascists. 🤷
I mean Y’know how it goes. More you leave it to “subtext” (which isn’t even a good point in terms of 40k cause everyone is actively the worst) more dum dums you’ll get
Fromsoft fans waiting on a Vaatividya video explaining the lore of the game also agrees
LMAO
to be fair, fromsoft lore is in the game, you just gotta read every single item description no biggie hmm hmm
they did what
really...
Eh “important” is subjective
What season was that?
So like
After it was revealed he was brought back as a guardian
We literally didn’t know what he was up to for a while
A Christmas cash shop item revealed what he was up to lol
In the flavor text
Ah I wasn't there for that Christmas, that's funny
Here's me remembering that in order to get even the slightest hint of a story from games growing up, I had to read the booklet in the PS1 game case
not like I massively care anymore since I checked out between warmind and forsworn or whatever that dlc was.
I'd LOVE games came with a massive pdf booklet explaining the lore
now they sell those as DELUXE edition
I checked out completely the season before Lightfall, I still can't even think about D2 without feeling like I'm about to fall asleep
The last season I fully participated in was when Based 14 came back
After I learned they were sunsetting my favorite bow I checked out
I spent so much time grinding Gambit
I remember thinking the booklet for Tiberian Sun being the coolest thing
Remember when PC games came in a giant box
Then you'd love Arcanum, the pdf that comes with the game gives a lore and context to the game... also it has a really good banana bread recipe in it.
The amount of times I did that stupid Pit of Heresy to get the flawless solo emblem, listening to My Name is Byf
so perfection exists
Arcanum is old.
I remember finishing Shadowkeep and was like
“That’s it?”
Good old Arcanum, Tim Cain has a youtube channel and just today he uploaded a video where he made it run natively on Win10
Forsaken was literally peak
It was uphill to Forsaken and downhill from there, oh well. I just keep tabs on the story now
Forsaken was cool, I sure hope it's still there so that I can go back and play it again someday.
I haven't checked but I figure they sunset it
Oh yea it's gone, they removed it over a year ago
Primary reason I really do not want to go back to Destiny is because of that fact. I really do not like old content getting archived and taken out.
I love it when they remove the DLC content you paid for from the game
you paid $20-$40 for
very cool. What killed it for me was every single season being the exact same except for the coat of paint
It started feeling like I was running in circles
Thinking about this, how do you read thousands of souls sacrificed each and every single day, child brainwashing and body augmentation, complete disregard for logic and reasoning and think hell yeah that's my kind of society
I liked that there was a point a couple months ago where Destiny was using footage from Forsaken to advertise the game on Twitter and the Community user notes added "This content is no longer part of the game" after each video.
Same way IRL fascists do it, “its for the greater good/our faction” or “Us vs them” or “You are with us or against us.”
These people are genuinely brainwashed by thinking the Imperium is a “good” alternative to anyone in 40k and its scary
An entire society built on the maximization of human suffering
^
“Oh yeah my type of civilization!”
Its just horrifying
It's just not a mindset I can get into, a good thing I suppose
That means you are a smart and good person lol
Imperium is my favourite because of how awful it is 💪
Best take
uwu to that
The cartoony villainy is the point yeah lmao
i like designs from imperium but i feel about it the same way Guiliman felt when he got woken up
"what the fuck did you do"
Isaynder and Koda said it best in a video, 40K is great because everyone is the villain so no one has to feel bad about being the bad guy.
"just burn this shit down holy fuck"
“It’s only been 10,000 years how much damage could’ve been-“
"Surely they didnt completely annihilate fathers intended ima- what the fu-"
I love Krieg because it's the logical extreme of the Imperium, complete dehumanization of an entire society so they only live to die to kill the other guy
Unfortunately, there's the shovel boys
What if Big E was dark skinned
memes are honestly one of the absolute worst aspects of 40k
But just like irl whitewashing Jesus they whitewashed him on art
He most likely is, apparently he’s of Turkish descent?
so like Jesus?
Yes
Turks didn't live in Anatolia when Big E was born
He's most likely pre hittite, but still dark skinned I figure
Emps can (or rather could) change what he looks like on a whim but iirc sisters of silence can actually see his true form
Fun fact about that actually: he was depicted white so more indo european nations would convert to Christianity
Hell I’ve seen Jesus depicted in almost every way imaginable, even multi armed Hindu Jesus
However the Hell that works

so he has some definite true self which we may never see
That’s cool
It is what it is, religions and cultures adapt to each other. I did see a Korean depiction of Jesus in, well, Korea
Guiliman seeing his father whitewashed
Just as Lorgar intended, the most villainous thing he did
It’s over Emperor, I already depicted you as a clean shaven white man savior
Isn't there still some debate about that? I saw a lot of discussion about it but I haven't kept up
"You are too late Father! i have already depicted myself as a soyjack and you as a Chad God"
Maybe Lorgar is based after all
Ngl there’s people who can pull off being clean shaven and people who cannot, and vice versa of people who cannot pull off facial hair and people who can
sentences that induce physical pain
Imagine Vulkan with a beard
i wonder if Salamander beards would be fireproof
Probably
Vulcan desperately trying to work the forge AND make sure his beard doesnt burn
Surely they keep trying to grow beards but they burn off, that's why they're always bald too
They’d probably grow extremely dense hairs
What if Jesus is always depicted as with a beard because he has a severe case of baby face
Definitely not
Iirc there was no intentional manipulation of christ’s appearance for race appeal, every culture just depicted him as what they look like because that’s what they know
Shaving was not a common thing at that time tmk
@storm jungle ?
Maybe it was actually idk
I don't know about that one
Oh no you pinged the moderator
The shaving thing
You’re going to be sent to the shadow realm
No RL politics
I know lol
Definitely was the case to get the Russians on board with Jesus tmk
he wasn't always depicted with beard
Jesus he does have a baby face
Look at his rosy cheeks
Ok now I see the appeal
What if Big E was more akin to an Ogryn
In appearance
🤨
I wonder how the imperium would implode from that revelation
What if we finally see the Big E for real one day and it’s just Ron Swanson
On Ogryn planet Rok there is an immaculately depicted version of the Emperor in ogryn form
Oh my god that’s amazing
We need catboy Jesus now
No
Felinid Big E when
Love me emprah
Further evidence for my theory that ogryn are the next step in human evolution
Oops ping
Smart psyker ogryn are human krorks
we had one instance of ogryn being psyker first then getting smarter and we got another instances of ogryns being made psykers but they only punch harder and not that smart
where zola goin
reasonably: grabbin' that dang ol' wolfer. Unreasonably: to the 2nd hive city
it's fluff setup for the next part of the carnival
so we will know soonish
zola hunting for that bomb ass cadian loud
probs hunting the karnak twins? who knows
but in all seriousness, her ass getting captured or capped
Zola stole my jeans
wouldn't mind having a new mission type. rescue/escort. maybe we save zola, another officer, or a moebian 21st squad and take them back to extraction. Unlike in vermintide where u open a cage for the peasants to wade through a horde a skaven and warpfire throwers lol
true, my pair of vintage levis are gone
imagining zola looked at commissary
"600k for those pre-scuffed munitorum mids? Rannik is out of his mind."
Do you think Zola has personal stakes? Could explain why she’s so obsessed with finding Wolfer.
Maybe it’s her brother lmao
I sure do love the ancient Levi Guild, circa M2. My absolute favourite breeches merchants
Wait Levis are probably older
I'm guessing she was some kind of sarge/capt in the moebian 6th and she's big mad at Wolfer for turning her boys to chaos
When she addresses wolfer aboard the Tancred Bastion (in the prologue) she made it extra clear to the prison guard not to harm him since he was to be interrogated by Rannick
It could also read that she didn’t want him to come to harm generally 🤷♂️
gonna lmao if it was a long con and Zola was really the traitor
but considering she's an explicator, probably not
Also if you notice she was left on the floor with a sword through her shoulder around other guards
It can be reasonably assumed that she was spared
Probably
Maybe I’m just talking out of my ass lol
nah
that and her going off alone seems like a good setup to have her be the traitor
what if we're the one with the missing link?
saving her on the bastion?
she's the only one who lived (with us ofc) and we find her after being attacked.
they kill her homies and stage it to look like she survived with a major injury
nurgle/tzeentch tag team shit
That seems like an awful lot of trouble
Wonder what the “traitor’s curse” title of the update is referring to
Since the vox broadcast is making it seem more like it’s towards Zola
We know Zola has secrets because the psycher mentions it
People thought she might have been a genestealer when that was still a theory.
So she's definitely always been dubious
but it could also be super dangerous lol
No such thing as innocence in 40k
Familial ties with Wolfer
Maybe she’s trying to convince herself it’s the right thing to do to put him out of his misery as he’s a heretic
And that’s what her internal struggle is
"innocence proves nothing" -
Lol that's the quote
Indeed it is
I wonder if it will apply to Zola
Eh she’s a higher up
She’ll be fine
If there’s one thing the Imperium loves it’s hypocrisy
But yea. When we found her with a knife in her shoulder literally pinned to a wall. That kinda implies she was left there. So she definitely was spared. The question is WHY? Is it because she's a double agent? Or is it because of some close familial or friendly relationship to a traitor? What lead to her being left there for us to find, and how will it impact the future of the story
THATS WHAT IM SAYIN
And it seemed she was concerned for Wolfers safety at the beginning
And it doesn't really matter how high up you are in the CoC. Genestealers actively try to recruit from officials, and it's not exactly unheard of for Inquisitors or their retinue to fall under the big 4's influence
Maybe the “traitor’s curse” is having a conscience lmao
That’d be really on the nose and tragic
Heh
High up in the CoC

I've played both CoC, Call of Cthulhu and Corruption of Champion
MF literally can’t see us because of his collar lmao
Sigmar guides his BMing
Maybe it's why WP doesn't get ranged weapon
Yes I know I’m being an immature 12 year old
Oh... lol ok
High on the CoC sounds funny
what level of psykers are the rejects in darktide considered to be?
yes

Zeta/Epsilon probably, higher than Wyrdwane but less than Primaris
Quite powerful tbh
Combat psyker are already rare
Once that do what ours do is pretty extreme. Not quite primaris but yeah
would daemonhosts be a bit... troublesome for said psyker then?
Depends on what daemon got shoved into said host
Daemonhosts vary in strength
The daemonhost we see in darktide seems to be actively subduing the daemon
Given they aren't initially hostile and their idle lines
Eisenhorn treats daemonhosts like pokemon but he's eisenhorn
They stronger they’re bound the weaker the host too
Due to the daemon not being able to flex its power fully
And obviously you need a strong daemon for their power and host to survive as a host
A living host which is what it seems the DT one is, is not ideal because they can fight back
Or hinder the daemon
He’s a legend is what he is lol
Yeah radical inquisitors would probably treat a daemonhost like we see in darktidr as an asset
Grendyl SEEMS radical but we don't know much about them
Grendyl's just a lil guy
Maybe the real grendyl was the friends we made along the way
🙏
So true
Imagine a twist where rannick is the actual inquisitor and uses the grendyl persona as a proxy
I would hate it but it would be funny
Lmao i wish
Lol real
LEGIT
Tbf just cause they’re radical doesn’t mean they’re ok with daemon host usage
There’s different kinds of radical inquisitors

Lol
I love that little frog
But yeah that's fair enough
But a radical inquisitor might use a daemonhost where a puritan would absolutely banish it
Yeah a Radical can range from like
- Constantly using daemonhosts
to
- "OH MY GOD HES BEING A SENSIBLE PERSON, GET EM"

because half of the Puritan ideal is literally being a school teacher, so you know kinda useless and just paid to be a glorified Yes-person
Also, I don’t think any radical inquisitor would be down with chaos using daemonhosts against them

They’ll use them, but the enemy?
Now that’s heresy
I’m different, I definitely won’t be corrupted by this
What are the chances of warp jumps taking away your sanity
5
5%?
Hmmm
At least 3
Alright
Depends on how your thetans are looking
Cuz I keep hearing about how bad warp jumps are (yes I know why) but I'm curious as to how often a human goes insane after a warp jump
It’s not common but it is stressful
Atleast them orkz have fun warp jumping
Bad dreams, or can’t sleep, spooky shit happens
Casualties do go up but it’s mostly due to stress and shit malfunctioning
Rannick will stare at an ogryn player like this wondering if they're the traitor
I'd wager warp caused incidents in the 40k galaxy are as common as car accidents in ours
Im convinced the whole level 30 ceremony was an elaborate troll
“Can this abhuman with the intelligence of a 5 year old who can’t write be behind all these chaos writings?”
Like he knew for certain the zealot lady was the traitor but wanted to fuck with her
If it’s Ogryn he’s just really fucking with her
I was gonna say lol
Mfw I thought it was a good idea to work for Chaos on an Inquisitorial ship while blatantly leaving chaos ritual breadcrumbs and tried to frame an Ogryn as the one doing it
Wish she’d work for the Emperor by updating her damn stock more
I swear one of the servitors wiping the floors does like
A frustrated shrug and headshake every once in a while
They turned them into one of those sisyphus bots that permanently cleans oil it's spilling out
And it’s like
Does sentencing someone to eternal damnation like that
Does that really increase efficiency
Or are they just being cruel for the sake of being cruel
Both
Doesn’t seem really efficient
AI is technoheresy
So servitors like cherubs, servitors, and servoskulls are like
The thing that fill that role
Cherubs are a little different because in current lore they're kind of mindless flesh golems before they are made into servitors
They are cloned for the purpose of being cherubs
So they aren't made as punishment
Seemed like a theatrical show of force by Rannick to show how traitors will be treated, shot and turned into semi-sentiant servitors. As a warning and stuff to loyal acolytes, and any other traitors or would-be traitors abourd the Mourningstar.
Vat Grown
I think there is a difference, in setting
Fair enough
one man's tomato is another man's potato, in the end they are all vegetables
Castellan robots definitely skirt the line here
Mechanicum jumping through hoops to justify their creations
Just controlled by wafers
clones in the setting get don't last long, get very unlucky whatever... I think GW just wants to distance w40k from starwars in that regard
Only people who are good at cloning are bile
And the votann(sorta)
And the votaan clones are designer babies and less so clones
Doesn't cawl have clones?
he has -definitely not ai- the cawl inferiors
The Cawl inferiors are just straight up AI lol
Wait wouldn’t clones be seen as heresy depending on who you ask lol
They’re not made naturally
But, then again, the Imperium has a lot of “it’s heresy but it’s useful” type shit that they bend over backwards to justify
Its not outright heresy but it's frowned upon because cloning is imperfect and has a higher likelihood of mutation
Imperium seems ok w/ vat-grown ogryns, and other abhuman i assume
The imperium doesn't need clones either
Since humans are the overwhelming galactic majority and have no issues reproducing
Vat growing is how the admech have kids
imperium is ok with a lot of things depending on who is crossing the line
There's a story of uh
Soldiers, Ect.
A tech priest who cloned himself
But the clone was female
Which would be considered a mutation
But instead of killing it he raised it like a daughter
But the monks of the mechanicum who still have their bits will still have children the natural way
Huh
That can’t be pleasant
I just imagine metal scraping against metal
Or a hammer against an anvil
Tbf most tech priests don’t have those bits anymore
But the possibility that there are some that do have those bits
Idk why the nail says ban

magos biologis generally augment themselves with organics
chances are, there are some tech priests with huge...
You mean to tell me the Imperium of Mankind has complete control over stem cells yet they can’t account for eventual decay lol
Muscles
I wonder if it’s realistic that stem cell treatment would eventually grow less effective over the centuries
Ah well it’s SF bullshit
We do see Tech Priests have romantic relationships
So it’s not impossible
How much they cut off their emotions and physical body varies a lot
And we’ve seen several have a parental feelings towards their creations
Whether it’s their Skitarii, children, or whatever
A big point of the Forges of Mars books and the Cawl books is to show the variety within the Ad Mech of schools of thought
If you want a much shorter showcase you can also always look at the Mechanicus game too
that game has like every type of Mechanicus Character 101 personality
The cain books also have colorful varieties of techpriest
Fucking dipshit lmao
Even dark mechanicus guys occasionally show some empathy:
‘If we are not allowed to dock, to use Nostraman parlance, that would be very... unlucky.’
The word felt unclean and uncomfortable. He immediately wished he’d not vocalised it, and responded in two ways. The first was a human tic of sorts, a motion of pointless reassurance that felt intriguingly mortal to indulge: he pulled his robe tighter around his skeletal frame, as if cold.
He was not cold, of course. Deltrian had removed the capacity to register temperature against his epidermal surfaces, and only tracked such variances with detached measurements from thermal signifiers in his fingertips.
The second reaction, taking place in the very same split second, was to dump the word from his short-term memory with a calculated data-purge.
It worked, though. Talos smiled at the tech-adept’s attempt at humour, and silenced the warriors with a soft, ‘Brothers, enough, please. Even the tech-adept of the Machine-God looks awkward to witness yet another family argument.’
it really covers the whole breadth of how tech priests act/interact with each other lol
especially with others they see as "lower rank" as well
I.E Kehpra and Tiresus getting cut off or overruled
Shame Tiresus ||dies horrifically|| if you let him actually pursue what he wants
which one was tiresus again?
ah
What we really need for the Zealot, the Banisher, just screams while yoloing at Daemons then nukes them
"To defeat the Daemon, you must hate the Daemon. To hate the Daemon, you must know the Daemon. To know the Daemon is to know madness"
bros going wild on some bloodletters
Weakest chastise player
I don't care what bardin says I trust an elgi that clings to a tree more than the plunderers from naggaroth even if athel loren is a mini nation of hitlers at the best of times
I mean Bardin jokes most of the time
High Elves are literally half the reason the Old World prospered the way it did
not to mention the fucking Vortex that keeps chaos out
It's great to see the two of them get along it makes kerillian much more interesting since they share things in common being similarish roles even if waystalker is a bit different than a ranger
Tbf they’re also responsible for a lot of the fuckery
The Elgi giveth and the elgi takeith
Eh not as much.
A lot of the issues in Warhammer Fantasy is just chaos' own fault.
Fatshark deffo did a W with the way they made Bardin, he could have been an annoying ass rockbrain dwarf but hes the exact opposite and very likable without being mean-spirited constantly.
God why do I understand that
Sounds like you’re guilty of hanging around a very handsome Dari
even when they whip themselves into an argument they still geniuely respect each other which is cool, plus they both probably like to diss Caledor II as every dwarf and elf should
LEGIT
The only time they don’t is when Kerellian brings up the topic of why he’s wandering around
Mostly since ~~she’s an idiot for choosing to bring that up ~~
This isn't related to lore but the character design of vermintide is impeccable
So simple but so iconic, even people who haven't played vermintide have exposure to it through social osmosis
am i allowed to post my reject headcannon lore here
there's a post on the darktide reddit about that and i wanted to share mine since otherwise its just barried in a sea of comments
What the fuck is this
I hate this
The person who made this should receive capital punishment
"you posted cringe"
Take them to Catachan
Catachan is brazil, savlar is Detroit
Necromunda is birmingham
There was a planet in old lore called birmingham funny enough
Go for it
I don’t think anyone would mind
I'll read anything if its good tbh

Wouldn't this be seen as something to be ashamed of
Well ig it'd be a "depending on who you ask" type thing
Am i the only one who thinks the Vox videos are pure filler/attention baits to pretend they add lore leading to content? They are barely informative and are never converted to anything ingame.
They are literally teasers, they aren't made to be Luetin-tier lorevids.
Also there is lore though 💀
Teasers for nothing lol
Im a pragmatic person and Ive worked in video game communication. To me it looks like they save time and pretend they work on a bigger picture
Have you like, looked at anything with the recent update at all.
if you want lore spoon-fed to you you're probably better off playing something else
Thats not the point. I was slightly hoping someone would have a valid counter argument by showing me FS actually implemented one or two elements of the vox into the game. Not your lukewarm opinion.
I mean it is a point
you are just whining lol
also like again, literally nobody is gonna go and listen to vox-recordings in the game, most people dont even have any attention span for that in a game like this

your average shooter player never bothers to stop to listen to any piece of lore to begin with too tbh
More or less lol
Darktide is also not really the first game where a majority of the plot just happens outside the main gameplay cycle so

about that vox from what i understand something bad coming
Something bad is ALWAYS coming 💀
like the sergant guy is a heretic maybe
Oh nah Morrow is solid
its more that Zola is going planetside to get some sort of vendetta against Captain Wolfer, this is some actual development so i assume its gonna be related to an upcoming map
because he did say let hope so when inquisiton guy said big E protect :v
Well yeah
that is heresy right there
you cant always be an optimist lol
fair
sergant guy did go throught a lot of shit
