From the visual perspective they pretty much are. When you compare a guardsman to a Space Marine, their size/scale/armor ratios are very clear and you can tell that one is a superhuman over the other. Fantasy never had that as far as I know, but AoS introduced it and that supernatural space marine-adjacent visual style just doesn't work with the Fantasy empire imo.

there are some other very good reasons though, similar to why infantry still exists even though tanks are amazing
in real life, i mean
for one, a titan is amazing at just killing shit, but pretty mediocre at taking and holding a position
also you might want something inside a building, a tank can't go there
a titan would be completely useless for taking tertium for example
it could level the entire city with enough time, but that's not a victory, that's doing the job of chaos for them and obliterating important imperial industrial capacity

So... idk. I think it's fairly obvious they're insane. The Daemonhost I mean. The things she says, the fact she's in a fetal position when we find them. It alludes to a lack of control within her. I believe the demon keeps her conscious of everything she does, aware of it all but it's almost like a dream for her. The most painful dream, but still a fantasy. And I think she is praying to the emperor, just as we might call to our mother or father when we are at our absolute limit of torment. She is begging for a salvation she doesn't believe will come.
And in a sense, us killing her is that salvation... if but for a moment. Though her soul is likely claimed now by that demon, and she will be taken to Nurgle to serve after death
