The farsight enclave grew faster when he was in his self imposed exile
ironically
so him being in charge of things was an issue ironically
So this is one of the major differences between te Farsight Enclave and the Ar'cry'ru
I hate that I went to the wiki for it, but yea.
After this event, the Tau were left without an Ethereal to guide them. There was nobody to lead them in their objective, nobody to show them the way through these dark times. But Su'Nan'Ol yet again took matters into his own hands and created "The Council of Four". This Council was comprised of four individuals, each a representative of their Caste within the Ar'Cyr'Ru Fleet. A Kor'O (Admiral) to direct the course of the fleet, a Fio'O (Planner) to research newly discovered technologies, a Por'O (Ambassador) to oversee all trade and distribution of resources and a Shas'O (Commander) who would be tasked with defending the fleet. This chain of command proved to be stable and well organized, which allowed the Tau to continue with their mission the Ethereals gave them. But there was still the matter of acquiring resources, trade alone would not be enough. It is to this reason that the Council of Four gathered for the first time ever, in the eve of 759. M41. Shas'O Su'Nan'Ol made a proposal over which the other members of the Council debated over aggressively. After much discussion, the proposal was accepted and from that point on, the Fire Warriors of the Ar'Cyr'Ru fleet would also work as mercenaries for the highest bidder. Word of this had reached the Tau Empire and the Ethereals declared these Tau renegades. It was then, in the year 760.M41, that the Ar'Cyr'Ru Exploratory Fleet was renamed to the Ar'Cyr'Ru Mercenary Fleet. But despite the accusations of treason the Ethereal Caste is throwing at them, the Ar'Cyr'Ru Fleet is still fulfilling its primary objective: Galactic exploration and reconnaissance. -- From the Wiki
Does the Lexicum no have an article about it?
Lol honestly I went to the first link
But it doesn't seem so
But from that excerpt, you can see the difference in their government, where they had to find a way to continue on their own and voted amongst themselves, creating their own leadership structure.
Idk about Farsight, but the Ar'Cyr'Ru I believe absolutely have worked with the imperium before
No
They aren’t mercenaries
@nocturne crest
In that second paragraph it states how the Ar'Cyr'Ru worked with Radical Inquisitors and the Eldar
Let me see if I can find a legit source
I think your best bet if you want an actual source are the Damocles Crusade books.
Idk otherwise. Google is failing me
I see.
I've heard drukhari have found ways to torture necrons, whats the source for that?
I have another question
Is the god emperor a literal god
Or is he just seen as one because he has phsyker like powers
right now hes a fragmented psyche of power strewn about around the galaxy
as for if hes a literal god, does he have godlike powers? yes but to the extent as the same level as the current 4 chaos gods, debatable but probably no.
Theres a standing theory that if he actually "Dies" in his current form. Golden throne fails level of dead. His concousness and power SHOULD regroup themselves in the warp as thats were all dead things go. by that time if he gathers enough of himself, he could technically become another god of the warp. Its basically what Yvraine is doing right now.
but as of now, hes a glorified lighthouse that gives people incoherent dreams and maybe do some miracles here and there if he feels like it
btw the last thing the emperor wants is to be seen as a god.
‘Start with this,’ said Trazyn, tapping one finger on the tile he’d collected off Orikan. ‘What is its composition?’
Sannet paused, his stylus hovering over his phos-glyph tablet. ‘There are limits to what I can say, my lord. Certain mysteries of the cryptek order are inviolate. The punishment for revealing them are quite–’
‘Sannet,’ Trazyn interrupted. ‘You have been to my gallery, yes?’
‘I… have.’
‘Then you know that I possess every conceivable apparatus of violence? I believe you asked to be excused from cataloguing the drukhari gallery, correct?’ Sannet said nothing. ‘To wit, if you truly believe the cryptek masters can devise a punishment more horrid than even the most casual selection out of my gallery, I’m willing to prove you mistaken.’
‘It’s a time tile,’ Sannet blurted.
This is the possible source of it from the Infinite and the Divine, we dont really have an "on-screen" thing of a Dark Eldar ever torturing a necron but considering how advanced their tech is it would be entirely possible, we have many new examples from the new necron books on how sentient necrons can feel fear and many other emotions.
They probably just submerge them in sea water until they rust and just dangle a can of WD40 infront of their face.
Makes me wonder if he hates being forced to stay alive
Considering he's in agony
he did specifically say to be interned in the golden throne, its more like "I can hate it, but it has to be done type of deal" but considering what happend to his emperium after then, hes probably has bouts of ULTRA depression
Trazyn being a giga chad as usual
Trazyn is the best gaslighter
Also why did horus betray the imperium
Is it because he felt tied
He was bald

its multiple faceted i would say. but if you could boil down like 20+ books and countless novels.
"Daddy Issues"
20+ books
55+ to be exact
imagine being demi god and your father can't even give you hair
I'll just make my own lore ffs
So true
He gave himself tube hair
In his nose to
it's always him
Idk who that is
its the bald headed tattoo face lookin ass gif i sent.
hes part of the word bearers
like how it's Always Dilara when you are wondering why all of the explosive barrels are gone already
Snag
Fuck
Nvm I'm just gonna go to sleep
Basically, Horus was having a ton of doubts about the Emperor after he left him to work on the Golden Throne and left the Crusade command to Horus as the Warmaster, after that with the "help" of the Word Bearers chapter who had fully embraced chaos corrupted him after he was wounded in a battle by other random chaos forces.
They told Horus' Legion just "Ayo dont worry we'll cure him!" and then Horus was in an astral plane where he saw a horrible future where the Imperium was in decay and the Emperor was raised as a god, SURELY he could not allow this to happen and turned traitor, so it was a mix of ego and chaotic-energies corrupting his mind.
Over the course of the series though it kinda gets more and more Generic Chaos Bad Guy and by the time Terra is under siege hes basically completely gone as his old self and is a full on monster before Big E eradicates him for killing Sanguinius, his closest brother who tried to do battle with him.
- Cliffnotes version btw

mostly because most of the Horus Heresy book series is just filler nonsense.
I'm going to copy this and save it for later
this is like EXTREMELY condensed
Also its really not
Horus is just a generic bad guy once hes corrupted
Appreciate you btw 🖤
this is like, a very big complaint by readers lol
Then we have Abaddon with his ugly bald head ponytail too.

he has 3 books in his name
this shitshow moneygrab series has 55+
I know who im gonna hate
💀
Yes.
again Horus is not a deep character

I say this having read at least 40 heresy books
o i agree screw that bald wimp falling to chaos
Stealing
Also
Why is everyone Australian in Warhammer
They arent
Are they taking over
who told you that
bro just offended all of Britain
I made it the fuck up
you have been demoted to "PENAL COLONY"
Also my last question
How tasty is corpse starch
Idk about you but that shit sounds bussin
can you eat starch ?
Like Tofu but really icky tofu
Absolutely delicious
Bussin
its like eating startch with water and compress it
Skin man not as bad as these guys though.
Im going to boil you in cement

So do you guys have a favorite human character or no?
Doesn't include Space Marine, just your regular human, abhumans, and pyskers.
I honestly don't know any
Actually
I can't remember his name but he was a commander that was respected by orks because he was such a good fighter
He even had his arm severed but just attached an ork claw
Yarrick
By Angron thanks to GW. Now Ghazghkull's leading a revenge WAARGH!!! against him.
Imagine if they became friends man
I swear Ghazhkull is gonna be a Krork equivalent of a Orc.
Unless Trazyen mismanages the one he keeps in his musuems.
We dont know who killed Yarrick.
Or how he died.

Tofu covered flayed one is a silly idea lol
Or if
Yeah like
his "death" report literally tells us nothing
its very much gonna be "my death was greatly exaggerated"
Hes definitely getting a mini-update, hes fucking OUTDATED AS SHIT
So.... I'm hella behind, but some topics peaked my interest
No, they are actually the most terrifying imo
The Flayers can also communicate too, by tapping on the surface with their claws. Doesn't help they live on a Ghoul Star too.
- On the topic of the God emperor, it depends on when you're asking in the time line. Before he sat on the golden throne he was, for lack of a better term, simply humanities most powerful psycher. He's closer to an Eldar than a human in scope of abilities. He's immortal like them, can warp reality like them. For all intents and purposes for most of human history he seemingly was equivalent to Eldrad if not a bit more. However as the imperium got started, and belief in him and him alone became a thing, this seemingly changed. It's also shown in the latest Horus Heresy novel (I forgot it's exact name) that seemingly the Emperor could choose to become a Deity at any time if he'd wished. Seemingly showing he's not a Hypocrite by denying that. Now, that was at the end of the Heresy. Now? He's been fed likely billions of psychers at this point and is the sole entity humanity has prayed to aside from the chaos entities for 10k years or so.
Does augmented human count? Not like space marine level or anything
Luther then
I enjoy his downfall and his flaws
He’s one of the more “human” 40K characters I’ve read up on
- On he topic of necron torture by Dark Eldar. While there is no direct showing of this, theoretically yes they could. The Dark Eldar can torture anything. The issue here is te Necron have no soul. When they went through the biotranference, the C'tan ate their souls. And for the Eldar to rejuvenate, that's what they need. Simply causing pain isn't enough. They need to stress the soul, like pressing juice from a fruit.
Did you? I'm sorry.... I was catching up and his questions caught my eye.
I saw this, but I didn't see their souls mentioned so I felt I'd speak on that. Sorry for repeating you though...
I did not know that and I hate that
The necrons were scary enough with the tch
Now they crave skin
Oh yeah. Flayers are actually really sad
It's a curse right?
Ehhhh
By some god
Not really
Kinda more like really fucked up code
Weird
I just remember they want skin for no reason
Basically when the necrons were usurping their gods the C'tan
one of these gods was the Flayer
before he died he was like
"SIKE"
"YEET"
Nuh uh
and infected some necrons with the Flayer Virus
Lol pretty much
basically Flayed Ones are treated like Lepers, their infection can actually spread to other necrons and they are kept in a pocket dimension for each dynasty where when battle is started they can be unleashed to the field.
Yes.
And fucked over 5 whole dynasties
every one
Tons of dynasties in general have flayers
"I shall cast the fear of myself into you and all of your kind. I am Llandu'gor. I am the hunger. I am the flayer, and from this moment, you shall be too."
-Death words of C'tan, Llandu'gor The Flayer.
Ig that's because they basically got phyker ones
Or something
no
Yes but not to the extent of the 5 at the battle where Llandagor was killed
They produce massive null fields
Basically xenos
Those 5 suffer the most. In fact those 5 dynasties have entirely fallen to it
by xenos do you mean xenomorphs
They're an infinite army of insect devourers.
Bingo
Also the Tyranids are basically Generic Evil Bug race
And a Necron Phaeron who rules over the Flayers and is apparently immune to the disease. Kinda sucks for him, ruling over them.
a lot of sci-fi has it
man I wonder who could that be
A closer analogy is the flood from halo

Valgul. Love that man.
Drazak my beloved
Nurgle
Necromorphs are underrated
Facts
Necromorphs are not really Nurgle though
I just want GW to give us a flayed lord model
Honestly kinda like flayers a little
Twice dead king made me fall in love with flayed ones
Necromorphs would probably be some spooky necron tech
Real
One of my favorite units now
Yet they were beat by a engineer
or Ghoul Star entity tech

Skill issue for earth
They kinda are though. Necromorphs happen because of the Dead Moons right? These eldritch horror things? Well it's not an exact analogy. But the chaos gods do the same thing
Psychers mutate and become monstrous all the time, and their mutations can look similar to a mecromorphs
Necromorphs seem like they’d be Drukahri tech
Nah
I forgot about the brethren moon murdering everyone
I mean we didn't seeeee it get eaten, the brother moons were just chillin around them
They are creatures like that. One creature is what the Deathwatch encountered on a wrcked Voidship. Apparently it was a fleshly creature with tendrils that the crew fused together.
None of the Deathwatch Squad's weapon worked on it. They can only contain it with a time stasis field. And now they watch it in containment, trying to find ways to destroy while studying it too. They came up in the conclusion it came from a different dimension than the Warp.
Necromorphs are scary because theres no god involved
we never even know where they come from
thanks EA
Right, like warhammer honestly has an analogy to most things at least hinted at
40k just has so many Generic Evil Alien that it kinda blends together and stops being scary.
A signal by an artifact (marker) reanimates any dead corpses within a large range, those corpses kill people and spread. When enough bodies are made, a new moon is created
Brother Moons? I mean they just seem like a really powerful hivemind entity that probably evolved from the edges of the universe or somethin
Oh god damn it EA
They horde their knowledge
Right right. Swap out the marker for a god in the warp, and the signal for its influence.
And they made us suffer with Origin 😠
heck not even a god. Generic demons can do it
Yea pretty much
Necromorphs are scary because they are mysterious
it took like 3 fucking games for us to get any idea of what they were

err, necromorphs, my bad
Ahh gotcha
Also yeah Necros are the best definition of cosmic horror
its why i said they are scarier than half the generic monsters in warhammer
their concept is so simple yet so awful
I mean HP Lovecraft stuff kinda dumps on necromorphs
Fun fact, necros never really die
They just get incapacitated
Unfortunately that's more than likely how it'd have to happen. Though if you go out to the fringes, like the halo stars, theirs some freaky ass shit out there that could also likely do it without the warp
@grave sparrow
My favorite human character is Canoness Veridyan. She lost her left eye to a Nurgle daemon trying to grab her while on a mission with her Canoness as a Sister Superior against a Nurgle Cult. But her fellow Sister of battle shot her on accident to save her from it.
Leave it to the Marker to turn human babies into suicide-bombs 💀
man that scene in Dead Space 2 fucked me up
Did you mean fortunately or unfortunately, because I think creepy stuff that isn't chaos related is a lot more interesting
Lol I guess perspective
The only Necromorph that scares me is that skin ray one that makes new ones.
Fortunate for us
Infectors yep 💀
Unfortunate for whatever characters happen to find and tell us about it
Do you prefer the murderous tentacle babies?
No
Or the murderous tentacle dogs in DS3
Do Death Spectres have a book yet?
And second worst one for me is the vomiting one.
i think the worst part with that section in the children's school is you can find teacher's report where she is saying as noting that the kids in classes are acting weird
and that they all have "imaginary friends"
Little bat boys
💀
The brutes are hella scary
They don't.
That'd be a baller book, learning what they're fighting
... watch it just be some stupid tyranid faction.
The Death Spectres are a Space Marine Chapter. Stationed beyond the boundaries of the Imperium, they maintain a careful watch over the Ghoul Stars to ensure that their supernatural inhabitants never again threaten the galaxy.[1a]
Check the sources at the bottom
its not too centric on Death Spectres but they appear in these
So question. Who knows what the Umbra are? And what do you think they are?
Hmm, curious as to how the Deathwatch ties into them so heavily
Flayed:tm. is the main short-story they got where you learn that they got the "breeding worlds" 💀
unless the Death Spectres are like "yo fuck this" and join the Deathwatch more often
My guess is one of the DW brothers in it is a death spectre
Fragments of a dead Alderai God shattered by Slaanesh.
He got confused which chapter he was supposed to be in lol
Nah its more that DW takes any Marine in
Eldar god, eh?
Why eldar?
their entire appeal is that they are like the Suicide Squad
funny name similarity tho
When the Imperium killed one. It showed memories to them a psychic echo flashback.
I mean I guess it makes it easier to remember a chapter than if they have some weird latin name or somethin lol
Blood Angels got that covered
theres so many generic space marine chapters
with the same-ass sounding goofy ah name
💀
@misty brook but those memories don't point to the eldar... they pointed to an Old One, right?
I've had buddies who are huge 40k fans get blood angels, blood ravens, and dark angels consistently mixed up
what about the Dark Angles

We don't talk about those

@crisp heath @misty brook Hold on you two
ill bust out my copy
Mmmm, lookin' like ice cream
🍦
What are the ultramarines fighting in the last one??
that's so fuckin cool
welcome to mid 2000's 40k lore
where we got extra cool stuff like this
better days...

Right at in that last page. One, we need to remember the guy talking is an admitted heretic
But, when he says poking and prodding
I'm sorry second to last page
Up to his Old Ways
Is specifically capitalized
Basically the plot of this book is an Inquisitor's agent has been sent to investigate this nutjob and he is currently going through his research to build up a proper report
so every book goes over what the techpriest was doing and the agent's reactions/recordings of it
Right right. But this attested heretic seems to be implying this is an old one who hid in the warp after the great War, perhaps the last one. And when Slanesh was born, her first act, or one of them, was to break this old one. And she scattered him as a joke to continue lingering as he'd always done. Which honestly sounds very slanesh
yeah its very up in the air
because this book makes A LOT of lore revelations
theres even a fucking starchild thing in here

Its a great shame it was retconned
Which were finding out is kinda happening now though...
So.... I mean....
Ehhhhhh??
Nah its explicitly non-canon
But there is a star child thing happening now right
yeah but the other products of this book are also non-canon, so one thing being true doesnt desolve the others.
So maybe this is just a heretic being a heretic and half right wrong thing lol
GW rarely EVER deems a material they made non-canon, it has happened to like 5 books out of thousands in existence in their library.
I really hope they try to reforge Khaine. Since he needs some wins. Dude gets his avatar's asses beat a lot.
alas
They found the strongest Avatar of Khaine. The Warshard of Khaine which Eldanesh the greatest hero and champion of the Alderai fought against in the Mythos.
Yep but hey 💀
Avatar of Khaine == Number 2 jobber
I don't understand why Dark Eldar celebrate the natural births greatly. When the Haemonculi can make clones of more Dark Elder to reproduce faster.
Now for the real heavy hitters with no right answers lol
Who wins?
Big Crow Boy Corvus?
Or Shiny Chicken Sangy
Corvus... You can't hit him when his in swarm bird or shadow form and he can teleport too. Which doesn't help at all.

i was reading the lexicanum and apparently the imperial navy's destroyers are all smaller than its frigates
someone got their wires crossed in the ocean to space transition
They should add these guys to darktide and make them lore friendly. Just blasts your fucking speakers out
What if the Emperor called Robert Bootyman and said "Hey, son. Sorry how I acted the other day when you came to visit. I was having a shitty day. Bunch of Slaaneshi assholes drawning me sucking dick. I know I shouldnt let it bother me but it does. Come visit when you can, okay? Love you, son"
The noise marine when i tell him he'll never measure up to merzbow

Warhammer 40K is owned by ...
Bring back snooty boi space marines
please dont disrespect the beakies
heroes of the imperium one and all
even when they're being cops to arrest punks or whatever crazy stuff space marines were up to in 1e
Can I use any eldar model if I did a Corsair band, like rules wise they're voidscarred/guardians/kabalites but they all vary between every style of elfdar, and just doing count as rules if you're using a wave serpent as well as a raider idk, the raider is smaller probably
Corsairs don't have rules, if you want a mixed Eldar army use Ynnari
Ynnari but with the words corsairs taped over
Just with more voidscarred my local game store has like 4 void scarred boxes and 3 of the dark eldar ones
Nobody is buying them
Yeaah
I'll steal save up and buy
What do yall think of “gym-wear” Repentia?
better than alternatives
older kit looks like some kind of stripper uniform in lore they are dressed with remnants of robes which should look like tattered monk, both kits miss the mark imo but new kit shows how unhinged they are and properly shows grimderp part with needles sticking into their legs
I agree that they're better than stripper gear but they still seem kinda... informal?
They might be going crazy doing repentance stuff but i feel like they should still look more churchy
black tank tops and hot pants are just lazy design
fought ol'slobberchops blackheart himself
If they didnt have hoods and eviscerators i'd probably say the bodies are guard models
Kinda like priests have?
Red robes with short sleeves
Maybe
they can't look "churchy" with how they are essentially excommunicated from church
the stuff I could find mentions "hood of penitent" it should be what they wear with similar stuff zealot default gear in darktide and "robes of penitent" with beige cream coloring
Better then the old minis
it's also mentioned they are roughly dressed with remains of their robes, which should be the same color with their order imo
I think GW tried to keep them in line with other penitent units like arco flaggellants but a bit more kept together
True
Robes of Penitent ?
I do think the new ones are much better
Something Something authors barely disguised fetish
I only knew about Zealot hoods whom are basically part of an Imperial Creed stuff
something like this design could be more fitting imo
this is the look they are going for
Includes all Wolfer lines from Patch #13 and Patch #15.
Enjoy!

@celest dome babe wake up, new lines to dissect
"Morrow is going to bald, we must discourage him"
he seems to have it for morrow specifically
Its quite understandable, Morrow is the named person which lead the Reject specifically
Zolla and Rannick are higher, and Melk lead the Auric
"squad lead reports at least 50 targets in the amphitheater, hard to get count on the enemy"
"enemy in platoon strength at least"

4 murderhobos success
The enemy vox is so good
wolfer's clapback is so good too
"I'm sure that's true, yes...Cowards always seem to struggle with...simple numeracy."
Wolfer getting progressively angrier is relatable
It's even funnier if mourningstar star isn't jamming their comms and it's just vox being shoddy
"most of the troops are drunk, or worse"
How do nurgle worshippers even get drunk
With a lot of alcohol, the moebians are also fresh converts
Or does he let them
They’re not super mutated yet
Generally speaking
They’ve certainly been corrupted but they aren’t well
At that point yet
Nurgle stops his followers from feeling pain but I don't think they stop feeling everything
Still funny to think that the disease god worshippers are susceptible to alcohol poisoning
Also yeah Moebians aren't as deep into it as Dregs
Nurgle doesn't make you immune to drugs and/or poison
I like that they use poxwalkers as corpse clean up apparently
We catch the Moebian with their pants down during that mission as well
They’re leaving a bunch of rifles and gear around
In a lot of the areas lol
Yeah he specifically makes you tough and deadenned enough not to care
But you still like
Feel it
And it probs can kill you
chaos shooting themselves in the foot at a very crucial moment is the norm, not the exception 😄
"A personal encounter with Morrow is warranted. I will give the matter thought"
"Who knew basing a military force around a religion that encourages ambition and remorseless violence was a bad idea ! Oh, the humanity !"
I'm now imagining wolfer throwing hands with morrow
I'm not exactly sure how he thinks he'll manage that
Morrow is never planet side lol
Unless the Moebian sixth try attacking the mourningstar which is literal suicide
Repentias in lore look like Slaanesh followers
at least this variant
with lots of spikes
They're covered in imperial cult imagery what
They’re meant to look deranged
And obsessed with the idea of “repentance”
The imperium is at its best when it looks like a bunch of religious death obsessed psychopaths
imperium forces looking and behaving exactly like chaos cultists behind the facade is brilliant design
it bridges the gap of "how do they even fall to chaos if these gods are so horrific"
Imperial cult already is a pretty horrifying religion
It doesn’t take too many steps to fall into low level chaos worship
Chaos cults thrive in the lower levels of the hive, promises of freedom and better life go a long way if the target knows nothing but brutality their entire life
And when they realize the lie they've been told, it's already too late to go back
There so much space for Cults to grow anywhere, from the Penal systems, to the Ash Waste to even on the Higher Spires
I mean I'm ngl
Joining a chaos cult is a pretty sweet deal

You get power that matches your ambition and skill
My brother in Christ you are going to get your throat slit
NO
In your sleep
Your soul gets eaten but it's gonna happen anyways probs
Not even in your sleep
Not if I slit theirs first
Nah I'd deffo join a chaos cult
If I lived in a hive I mean
Barely anything to lose, a lot to gain, and a more interesting life
I mean I'd probably join Chaos too, but I know it's not a good thing
Joining the Ash Waste Nomads is much better
(Though I want Tzeentchian Ash Waste Nomads)
lowkey i'd join a hive gang
Like straight up what does the average hiver lose
@celest dome nah. If you are joining a separate faction, your best options are, imo this order, The League of Votann, The Exodites, and The Tau.
Most of their skin usually
The cruelest joke we gods can play on the cults is piling so many gifts they cannot take it
You didn't need that
Best qualities of life
I do not think those are gonna take Orphan N°15465498765214 from Hive Bumfuck 5
first problem is getting off-planet, next problem is getting onto a tau world without getting smoked immediately
@sleek wigeon plenty of humans do??
Don't think you can join the first two
Imagine surviving for centuries, serving fervently and achieving much..only to get reduced to a ever shifting pile of flesh because your patron thought it's funny giving you mutations
@celest dome happens though
Extremely rare
The faction with the best quality of life is probably exodites though
Has to be more than a few
Statistically it is rare
It mostly happens when whole regiments defect during wars afaik
@celest dome statistics for a multi trillion pop species lies
But tau also have like
Ambassadors
I'd assume you can just ask them
There's plenty of humans in those societies
And the Votann are literally humans themselves
Clones but like... still
Abhumans, and extremely insular
Craftworld eldar have a higher quality of life technically
Only downside is
Tomato tamauto
Eeh their whole path thing kinda lowers that for me
On a whim too
Ik but it still is restrictive
@arctic talon while this is true, they don't ride dinosaurs lol
Worst living quality in 40K goes to chaos tbh
Hives are easily worst
Exodites got that whole jurassic park vibe lol
Forgeworlds are also arguably worse imo
Especially if you try to live a moral life cause that shit ain't easy
Riding raptors and swizz lol
In terms of the boot on your neck sorta deal
True but that depends a lot on the specific world
Some are actually chill cause numbers go up when the population's happy
Though I mean, the imperium does have a lock on the worst worlds. We have literal death world's and shit
Most aren't inhabited tho
Catachan 💀
Catachan people have fun there they don't count
I don't think any other faction has stuff like that crept maybe the drukari, and idk if we want to be like them lol
Living on a forge world is just like being an amazon employee
You get more piss breaks as an Amazon employee ngl
Yeah I’m just using the big forgeworlds
So do the drukari 🤣 🤣
Most of them aren’t great
On a forge world your piss bottle is standard issue
Not the poor
All the druhkari lore we have is on the upper class mostly lol
We don’t get to see the shittiest parts of comorroagh
I doubt the poor on catachan had much fun either
There are some Hive World that are much better than other
Even some Hive that are better than the other on the same world
Though idk how they'd tell wealth lolz
Whoever has the most fortified house obviously
I don't think direct comparison in ANY real life situations is a healthy approach. it's a parody meant to showcase the worst human conditions possible
The beatings will continue until morale improves
Unfortunately i am parodying the real life hell of amazon logistics employment
The real world is a parody at this point
The most apt analogies are literally slave conditions, like cobalt mining and the like, where there is no choice both literally and figuratively, due to you having no means or opportunity for other work in those areas, and the gun to your head. Oh and the job is actively killing you. No matter what it is.
A guy literally died in Amazon warehouse and their anti slack system thing reported him as being lazy
The democratic one ?
Yeah
Real techpriest shit
It's much better than the rest from the world, but it's not much greater, afaik the best Hive that we know of are from Vostroya and Elysian
A lot of the hives in early book, ie Eisenhorn, are also just normal ass cities
Hey Cacti I've been wanting to ask a warhammer fantasy related question
Elysian has really nice hives yeah
Yes ?
I thought vostraya was an industrial world ngl
Vostroya has a shit world be well governed Hives
Yeah, but it still has Hives
who would win one-on-one Gotrek or Grimgor?
Ah
Both of them seem like powerhouses in combat
Gotrek has grimnirs axe doesnt he
One of them, but not always
It might be another stalemate situation where neither can kill eachother
Which happened to grimgor once
yeah it's definitely one of his Tougher battles
Yeah, but Gotrek has killed some Greater Daemon before, not sure if Grimgor has
yeah i'm pretty sure grimgor hasn't
But yea, 6/10 for Gotrek probably
gotrek is incredibly stubborn and harder to kill than a cockroach with armor
Gotrek is surviving thanks to being a good fighter, Grimgor is a good fighter and a good leader
I'd bet on Gotrek if they ever got in a 1v1 but Grimgor shouldn't do that
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdTGmbVeabg i liked this video is it accurate?
Heresy is such a great word
Here’s a list of all the helpful Youtube channels that pop up across the video
Green Screen Guy - Bricky
Imperial Fist vs Iron Warriors Animation - The Grape Lords
Tier List Guy - Aspex Tactics
Game Example Black - Tabletop Tactics
Game Example Purple - Tabletop Titans
The Blowgun Gameplay was me, and everything e...
extremely memefied
And literally skips several important notes just from the bits I watched
Also entirely wrong about Dark age of technology
Shocking
bruh
emperor made a deal with chaos gods so they made primarchs for him
I'm sorry what
He did make a deal yes but I'm pretty sure the chaos gods didn't make the primarchs lmao
anyone know why traitor plamsa weapons always have the red appearance instead of the blue?
are they tho.
considering they casually went around gunning down every single person they saw, yes, I'd say they're evil
I think he's referencing mini box art which is always painted in black legion color scheme
like sm is painted with ultramarines
No they can be a multitude of colours, but usually it's Blue for Imperium, Red for Chaos
That's how the used to be a long time ago
Imperium plasma was safe but only fire every other turn while Chaos had a chance to explode
Eldar used to have purple and green iirc
In-universe there's enough different ways of making the same thing for different aesthetics, same reason lasguns always look different
The glow can be explained by anything from higher plasma heat to just a differently colored glass
Ogryns vs Average Primaris who wins?
Round 1: Unarmed
Round 2: Armed
In a contest of brute force the Ogryn would win, but with weapons space marines anytime of the day
Ogryns can drag around a 38 ton Chimera and suplex a Terminator
Physically speaking they have the most raw force in the imperium
Depend on who got the jump on whom, if it's in a blank room with a long range and all prob. The SM
The further out you get in range the better the space marine will be.
I have awoken
Space marines are also just smarter and older
The average space marine knows martial arts
The average ogryn knows how to bonk with a club
Considering that… we got an Ogryn class, it wouldnt be so far fetch to have a Space Marine class then
But why is he not with the Legion instead would be a lore issue i suppose
A space marine isn't in a legion
So FS doesn't want them
In the 42nd millenium
Also, a space marine has decades of training, the rejects are conceptually just randos with guns
And there's hundreds of ogryns for each space marine
Nah, for Ogryn we really don't know how many of them there are
Clearly enough
There's planets of them
They evolved a small dozen of times, mostly from penal population, and they spread with humanity after being rediscovered
That'd be cool but I don't think the lore has any ratling melee weapon
They could make brand new ones tho
Personally id want sister novitiate as class
Would remain in boundaries of the powerscale and could be deviation of zealot
Ratling have problems with PoV, and don't really bring anything exclusive
Wouldn't that just be a zealot without the reason to be a reject ?
What are these battery-fed lasguns?
They look like longlas mixed with hotshot lasguns
Hotshot lasguns with a weird shape, probably
do psykers have their own symbol/insignia?
They have the one from the Astra Telepatica
Prolly dis ye
But all lasguns can be backfed, technically, it's just not usually done
hmmm
isn't very necklace shaped, sadly 😦
With long barrels
No they don`t
They look like Winchesters
@quick egret
The eye itself is typically a symbol associated with them tbf
The backpack mounted lamp + baldness gives those guardmen a very gsc look
Love that they have scopes but can't look through them because of their goofy gasmasks
Peak 40k
I don`t see any similarities
Does the MP5 give STG vibes to anyone
This particular one does
More like an mp40 than a winchester or mp5 actually
I see a mishmash of the three
The two in the picture have small discrepancies
So they're probably just heavily modified hotshot lasguns
Knowing the chemdogs, their snipers probably got killed so they just took the scopes off their longlases, retrofitted them onto some hotshots, and slimmed the barrels down
Found a krieger with a similar configuration
Can lasguns overheat ?
Eventually
Yes
They won't catastrophically vent hot gas on you like a plasma gun but you can melt your barrel if you shoot enough
Didn't know they made heat
Fun
They can overheat just like normal guns can
They don't shoot an actual physical projectile tho
yes
Laser hot
people tend to forget las shot can sever limbs
Fire isnt physical either
yet you know, its hot
They can, but that doesn't inherently mean they get hot
I don't think the laser actually touches the gun
Fire radiate heats, light doesn't, it generates heat where it touches smth
doesn't need to touch to feel/transmit heat
Lasgun gets hot, simple as
also this lol
All the internals get hot too. Krieg lasguns overheat like a gaming laptop.
Yeah like
lastech is not really advanced
so overheating and barrel-heat is pretty understandable
It's fires spicy lasers that turn people into cheese of course it will get hot
Europe would love that tech
lmao
When you reload a lasgun in darktide
You can see superheated gas and sparks come out of the battery pack and battery receiver
The electrical charge generates a great deal of heat no different from your phone or any electrical device
Fun fact: the red "beam" we see isn't actually the lasbolt
It's retinal afterburn caused by the actual light wave
There's also the heat around the barrel and in the lasbolt's path generated by air particles being hit by the light beam
Iirc the lasgun battery packs are pretty easy to charge. You could throw them in a campfire to charge them
And there’s no risk of it exploding? Or discharging something harmful?
Power cell can also be used as grenades but I'm not sure they've ever explained how to do so
Has that even happened in lore?
Guess some overcharge trick
I mean yes they tell us that you can do that but did they ever show a character doing it?
It damages the power pack and gets you a stern talking and potentially punishment
It can also be "overcharged", a trick used by Guard veterans that causes the pack to explode, turning the weapon into a makeshift grenade. This tactic is only used in last-ditch situations, as it results in the destruction of the weapon. The resultant explosion, however, is powerful enough to crack open the frontal armor of a Chaos Dreadnought.
Imperial Armour Volume Five - The Siege of Vraks - Part One
They do it in one of the Gaunt books
"Making twin linked lasgun joke are you? whip"
We already got twin linked lasguns
Damn that thing actually packs a decent amount of power
The kantraels have a flashlight attached
The dreadnought was heavily damaged, mind you. The lasgun grenade was just the last push
There was snippet in some book of that flashlight+lasgun=twinlinked joke gets you flogged

I could see a commissar or NCO making the guardsman reach an ungloved hand to retrieve the pack from the fire as an NJP
What not to do near commissar
Do not retreat until he says so.
Do not look like you will retreat before he says so.
Do not think about retreating before he says so.
Do not think about thinking of retreating before he says so.
Do not retreat even WHEN he says so.
Do not refuse to retreat when he says so because you will later be shot for insubordination.
Do not be incompetent in battle, he'll execute you for being useless.
@carmine lynx how do you think Hadron's body looks under her cloack? OwO
She's over 300, probably old and robotic
woa
what if she replaces her skin with like elastic matiriel?
could be pretty hot, i mean some people do wear black suits... ok i starting to hear myself and it sounds pervy
which i'm not!
but still gotta wonder lel
The comissar shouldn't order you to retreat they're a political officer, so not actually your hierarchical superior
blam
Can you like, stop lol
also did you ever see her face
shes a fucking rotten potato

i already did stop
belive it or not looks is not all
Yeah gonna censor this but. Leak from the reveal stream later.
simple minded, hmpff
So hey
I’m a happy camper

This was expected but wow they look good
Thats one part of her model i really dont like
like that hand is PRISTINE
Right?
I simply could never have feelings for hadron because she’s a. Incredibly demeaning and I’m not into that, and b. Will probably kill me/dissect me

Me with any woman
It’s intentional ok
Imma intentional your arteries
Entirely understandable
I don’t know what that means but I’m afraid
The fact her hand is pristine brings up questions
💀
Like
Did she take someone else’s
Is it vat grown or cloned
Is it synth flesh
Who the fuck knows
Hadrick the Grafted
She just wants her hand to be higher quality since you use and interact with other objects with it a lot
Can’t have no flesh leather looking hands touching the omnissiahs tools
Perhaps she can’t obtain or afford one, or maybe she doesn’t want to get much closer to complete machinery
Bitch has a peg leg beats me 💀
Different admech members/sects have different beliefs
From the episode "The Hot Date"
Or more realistically fatshark just wanted it to be one hand metal one hand flesh to show the dichotomy of the mechanicus
THEN WHY A FUCKING PEG LEG
LMAO
Arr
She’s well past the crux already
Mfw I have a more complicated leg prosthetic than hadron
I don’t think she disagrees with having her flesh replaced
She's probably jealous
Chad biologus
There’s a long waiting list for legs alright?
So true
No
No machine compares to human body
Not when she can prolly make another lol
All the rejects took the good legs with the shop rotation
The crux? I don’t actually know much about admech lore, I’m a xenos fan
She's stuck being a pirate
All I know is dem humie mekboys are weird, but den again all mekboys are
Tech priests generally remove the bits you would enjoy
Not all but
I wonder what makes red robe worlds so dangerous dat dey lose their limbs so much
Some people really like machinery ok
I mean every Skitarii gets two
Muton looking ass
Not me
No OSHA compliance
You think a priest would be allowed one
Maybe the peg leg has sentimental value lol
Hadron said she could wait a while back and she’s regretted it ever since
True
Maybe she just likes pirates
Hadron seems to only observe courtesy with the shipmistress
"As you say, shipmistress..."
Oozing with sarcasm but still courtesy
Shes does like michael jackson with one glove
Probably just a weirdo that likes peg legs or something
Other admech 100% laugh at her for her peg leg
Real darktide enjoyers remember when hadron had no legs
AdMech only have peg legs when their Magos is too lazy to kitbash something that looks good and uses a piece of whittled sprue instead
Look at my techpriest dawg my equipment is falling apart 💀
Show jawas
I mean the actual answer is that it's next to impossible to see said leg without mods so they just reused the one from the Psyker's peg leg cosmetic
But it's still funny

I wish Tyranids were like raccoons that scrounge through trash and if you shine a light on them they just run
Dilara can you add me to the adult-only roleplay channel
You got f-list for that

Just buy the majorkill calendars
This chat is so cursed sometimes
His patreon sucks
I mean what who said that
No I don't wanna go back
f-list ?

Ah, I though of something else
woa, where did my img go?
Dilara smited it
Lost to the immaterium
Prolly cause it was meme
... no... yes?...
Crazy how 40k youtubers have the absolute worse AOS takes
Not a meme channel
NSFW images are generally not allowed
I only saw it for half of a second but I saw it was NSFW
Oh shit
Just dont argue the judgement
Age of Sigmar is super divisive
I like it though
But I was never really into old world
Yeah old world is ASSSSSSSS
I don’t mind either tbh
Most 40k youtuber are not really interested in fantasy/AoS
And usually just try to create engagement by delivering dumb thing that they know people who don't care will like
But AOS is great , it’s just a fantasy setting
Yeah definitely
Yeah i've grown with it
My friend plays age of sigmar and I play 40k
Both are great for their own reasons
It's definitely become one of my more favorites
He can't convince me to play fantasy and I can't convince him to play 40k
He actually hates the stormcast eternals though
And some end times content
I saw this YouTuber that’s like ‘want to make AOS good? Make cities the main characters!’ IT WAS
Which ones ?
Who knows, he was deliberately vague because I dont know the lore as well
Cities were the main character in old world and it sucked for new players
You mean Empire ?
Yeah my bad
Empire was the most popular
Yeah it’s my favorite in total war
The only thing I dislike in AoS are the Fyreslayer
I used to hate iron jawz but my god they have grown on me
Im a rat at heart
iirc Skaven are getting a refresh next
I like the beastmen but their range looks shit
some people need to lose their citizenship and internet acess
Honestly i love them, silly naked screaming mercenaries
I exist to annoy
I'm going to be honest it's kind of common not going to lie a good chunk of people just like skaven
pls paint your figher slayer's anyother way and they willl look great
same. i dont think they hot tho
fyreslayers*
That's the unfortunate part
A lot of people think they are
yeah i know
Oh well no point in the dwelling about it now
People will like questionable things no matter how many times you ask them not to
