Wait there are female ogryns?
Yeah
I thought they're just artificially made brutes that have like flat barbie doll crotch
They just don't have an official look because I'm assuming the dudes are easier to sell
It's better be that way because i can already see the art from a mile away
R34 Artists on their way to draw hot muscle babe fem ogryns instead of the canon one barely distinguishable from males
ogryns come from dangerous high gravity worlds, since they spend a lot of their time they just basically evolved
One mold cheaper than 2 mold
they are common abhumans, there are worlds filled with ogryns
They evolve to be bigger and a lot stronger but not much on intelligence on a planet like that
You don't really need to read einstein's study on a book in a planet that's trying to eat you alive
that doesn't mean you can't either
Ogryn worlds do not have school systems categorically which doesnt help their mental skills
They went back on more primitive aspects basically
Yeah, being stupid doesn't seem justified unless their planets are somewhat oxygen deprived so the brain cannot function at high level
then it's problematic with their size
Considering they got to that size i'm pretty sure the place has a lot of oxygen
big boy needs big air
Fair. No idea then
Ogryn are dumb because they're funny ogre guys unfortunately
That is as far as it really goes
GW probably didn't want them to be smart so there's a reason for space marines
they are warhammer ogre,
^
Because the imperium doesn't educate them
^also this
Per the imperial Cult they're supposed to be dumb muscle
They’re an easy lower class to keep
Yeah they are basically at the level of again the intelligence of a children
That's their role in society
And children can learn
Teach them properly and they will have decent educational growth
The one psyker ogryn would be executed if not for inquisitor intervention
Ogryn can prolly learn fast
We know they're also fully capable of learning as of Prophet of the Waaagh
They are systematically kept dumb because a smart brute is a defiant brute
They’re “inferior” so to speak
Didn't the smartest ogryn count up to 10? I don't think it's just the lack of education if the smartest one of the millions doesn't know how many fingers he has on his hands
Nah, Nork famously can count to 10
But he isn’t super smart
He’s just very very very good at protecting people
It's less that they can't count and more that they normally aren't verbal I think
Smartest ogryn to date is the Psyker one
bully and bodyguard in this game has him beat
HUH
if you want an administratum manager ogryn in your story, go ahead tbh, galaxy is vast
Because the inqusitor decided to have an acolyte start teaching her
Yeah a female ogryn psyker
Cassia
Isn't Ogryn Psyker literally just an imperium ork. Dumb as hell yet sometimes thinks of something and it happens
No
Nope
She could read and write and kept a journal
The Drug ones yes, but natural born Psyker Ogryn are much smarter than usual
Not surprising seeing that ogryn learn how to use new equipment fast
iirc necromunda has pumped up ogryns with psychic powers
Ogryn are most likely very capable of learning
It’s via drugs but yeah
Yeah gun luggers are a thing
But it's kind of a difficult point to use to gauge how smart Ogryn can be, as on averarge Psyker are smarter than normal already
There’s a full blown slave revolt rn
Going on in necromunda
With ogryn rn
There’s an ogryn that’s very intelligent
Yeah this is the thing imperium doesn't want to happen
So keep them dumb
They wouldn't realized that the thing they are serving is a shithole
No, I’m Smarticus!
Yeah the imperium wants to keep ogryn stupid
In fact they want to keep most people stupid
Ogryn are just easier to oppress
abhumans*
Ecclesiarchy is so good at it the people running it are the biggest morons in the universe
Nah normal people as well
It’s just abhumans especially
They’re a second class citizen in the imperiums eyes after all
Keep them stupid, keep them docile
Btw, how hostile are the Craftworld Eldar to non-zealous humans/tau? Are there any like famous characters that could walk inside the Craftworld for some time or stayed there?
Craftworld eldar generally don’t like fighting humans aside from Beil’tan
But generally speaking there’s like almost no human in setting that would be allowed on board a craftworld mostly due to the fact that most humans are pretty xenophobic
And the craftworld eldar are also xenophobic in their own way
Yeah but they will definitely show more respect to you if you are less of a dumbass than a average imperial
Tbh
If you hate chaos enough
A harlequin will drag you into the black library
Which is technically a craftworld
Just a really creepy and quiet one
Honestly I thought they first and foremost wouldn't let anyone inside due to their fear of said person getting to the soul crystals
That happened?
Yes
Damn
Getting to the infinity circuit would be suicidal
It’s the single most heavily defended place
In the entire craftworld
Along with the fact you’d have to go through the dome of seers
Which is filled with a bunch of psykers
out of all eldar, they are most likely to leave you hanging I wouldn't want anything to do with harlequins
Yeah if it doesn't get protected a doom of malantai moment can happen
It has every single soul in the ship
Oh absolutely not lol
But if they want to take you to the black library
You’re going to brazil the black library
The black library only has warhammer books i will be fine

Okay I have 0 info on that. I know Harlequins have a silent god or something but why would they take anyone to the black library and what's the main difference between one and a normal craftworld?
Is it literally just a heavily fortified space library of hidden knowledge?
harlequin craftworld of library of warp knowledge
It is most likely the single most heavily fortified place the eldar posses, it’s in the webway and it has a literal god guarding it. It’s filled with knowledge about the warp and chaos
Breaking into the black library is beyond suicidal
You’ll piss off the harlequins, their god, the druhkari, the craftworld eldar
All at once
The durhkari less so
Wait even dark eldar?
But some kabals/covens/cults are heavily connected to the harlequins
Yes
Don't they hate their craftworld siblings?
Harlequins aren’t craftworlders
They’re the servants of the last living eldar god
And they’re absolutely terrifying to other eldar
there was a flavor like this too; Idk if it's still canon: https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Illuminati
The Illuminati are a secret society, existing beyond even the Emperor's knowledge, but manipulating and interpreting the Imperial Will to bring about their objectives.
There is one in the realm of nurgle to but you
Know
I thought they were craftworlders who decided to serve a god and in turn he will protect their souls from slaanesh when they die
Isha is trapped in the forever box
No
You don't really have any way to save that one
You don’t get a choice
To become a harlequin
If you start getting those visions you’ll one day just find yourself in the webway
And you’ll become a harlequin
So any Eldar can become one?
Yep
isha with papa nurgle, khaine as fragments, cegorach is free, ynnead is about to be born
They’re made up of druhkari, craftworld eldar, exodites, corsairs. Ect.
Huh. Okay, back to the initial question then, why would they drag anyone to the black library? Somewhat said they might due so to you if you REALLY hate the chaos gods
To give them knowledge
To help better fight chaos
I'm sensing it's not entirely consensual
It isn’t
Lol
And it’s not like the average person can fight back against a literal god abducting them
it wouldn't be that bad but it wouldn't be pleasant to be subjected to forbidden warp knowledge
So, they just say "You love fighting chaos and we'll show you how to fight it better, like it or not"
You like fighting chaos, you aren’t super xenophobic, you’re coming with us to learn more
You either go willingly
Or you get dragged in by chegorach possessing one of the harlequins
Okay, so what happens next? Do they ever let you go, do they put some soul spell on you so you don't spell the beans to others
They just let you go after you’re done learning
I mean fair, anyone will do that
The harlequins are most concerned with chaos
S̵̅͊Ȅ̵̓R̶̯͆V̵̿̏È̷̈ ̴͊͑T̵̘͒H̸̔͝Ē̶͜ ̶͑D̴̉͐A̶̎̇RK GODS
And are busy doing something
see, this is all kinds of stuff about chaos, but even if you show a single sign of getting tainted, lights out for you
So they literally just drag you to their bookclub, show how to show chaos a bigger middle finger and then let you go... I'm getting a feeling it would severely help humanity if it wasn't for church morons
sounds like they drag way more people in than they let out
Harlequins are generally also allowed on imperial worlds
the BL sounds like a dope place to live
And also yeah more people go in then out
why even leave lol
They might still be in it
They might be dead
Who the fuck knows
What’s going on in the clown library
Maybe they’re being shown some horrifying play that teaches them everything
you can always read the latest 40k novel too, neat place
Watching a harlequin play tends to cause emotional distress at best
And insanity at worse
Some probably want to get all the knowledge so they stay in the library until they die, others do the same but only to stay inside an impenetrable fortress and die on their own terms and some are probably just batshit crazy and try to fightback which leads to them getting slaughtered
don't they have a play causes the audience to off themselves?
Want knowledge?
A few, but that one is rare
I remember reading something like that
LOOKS LIKE YOU WAS DRIVEN BY TZEENTCH
I haven't read a single proper book which isn't a novel since I finished school my guy
Since it just makes your brain turn off
No heresy here
Absolutely horrifying
But like far from the worst way of dying
But harlequins showing up in eldar society in general is considered a bad omen
chaos taint means youre screwed long term anyway so a bid at the library aint a bad deal
according to one hammer and bolter episode, I'm betting on black library being way safer than any imperium library
Tbh it is probably the single safest place in the galaxy
It is
Depths of the webway, heavily defended
because any Imperial Library doesn`t have literal God defending it
Has a literal god in it
and Lots of knife-ears
I meant as having less chance to get influenced by a chaos god
just ask the pointybois for directions
So, what are the options for the eldar? Find a way to make Slaanesh undo itself to have the freedom over their souls?
Nah they would not
Try to kill slaanesh is the big thing for the ynnari
also most of their homeworlds are now in EYE OF TERROR
But the eldar as a race are focused on survival
Craftworld eldar especially
Druhkari are uh
Focused on having a good time more lol
Drukhari have the numbers
There’s a lot of them yeah
Can they procreate and birth new eldar with untainted souls (which would still be watched by slaanesh) or are they kinda like Necrons as in their numbers are only ever going down
Souls are gona go to slaanesh, wear a soulstone
untainted souls naah
Kids don’t get made without available soulstones
Cloning our beloved
For the craftworld eldar
The Drukhari just vatgrow more
It’s very rare to have an actual naturally born child
In Drukhari society
Well I mean if two craftworld eldar give birth to a child will it be normal eldar and not dark? And can they even procreate or is it simply impossible due to the whole soul fuckery
Like wise only Humans, Orks and Nids are great at reproducing and can have numbers
It’ll be an eldar
Others aren`t able to do much
Dark eldar are weird since they’re practically their own race now
They don’t have psykers anymore
At all
But all eldar souls go to slaanesh on death
Excluding harlequin souls and ynnari souls
Unless you have a soul stone
And those that enter the circle thingy no ?
Or you get revived fast enough
Around 2 days max for revival by a haemonculi
After that it’s considered too late
dark eldar while being alive, that's why they do the fun stuff to keep themselves rejuvenated
Okay I also have no idea on that piece of lore too, how much of a soul do clones have? Are they only "artificial" in body or spirit too?
Clones tend to not have souls
Or have some weird issue
Where their soul is “damned”
Vargrown are not clones
It’s just an artificial womb
Wait they are not psychically gifted?
Drukhari are not psykers explicitly
So clones just don't see the warp endgame. What about chaos tainted clones? Do those exist even tho there's no spirit to corrupt?
As in they don't have as much of a powerful soul as an eldar?
Their souls are still very bright
Odds are druhkari can be psykers
It’s just that the “gene” is somehow sealed away
Or atrophied due to lack of use
Chaos tainted clones exist
they are, even eldar keep those in check, drukhari has less defenses so they totally avoid using warp whatever
Fabius bile is the best cloner in the galaxy
or they can't at this point
Yeah
Damn
Either way druhkari break a lot of “rules” you associate with fantasy elves imo
No magical potential, love drugs, incredibly violent and brutal
Society is incredibly capitalistic and oppressive
I mean, at least they still look like elves and are so in nature
Yeah they look like elves
lanky knife-eared long living arrogant asshole
sounds like an elf to me
Also they aren’t absurdly violent and brutal
They’re like
More violent then average
warhammer being ridiculous is the charm
Everything in 40K is violent
True
Maybe Tau to a lesser degree
Actually Drukhari reproduction is less grimdark then drow reproduction
Don’t google it
Actually
But it’s fucking weird
Sounds like a new google request to me
Hey Ferb i know what we are going to do today
Tau make any facist regime irl blush with how successful they are
Gimme a minute

I suspect some f*cked up shit
I have a smoother brain than you so don't worry i'm going to be funny
so I will live unknowing
All I see is reddit posts about people asking lore for their campaign, could you send a link to this chat or pm it
or just say it lmao
Nah, too compressed
the main thing separating dark elves from fantasy is the body horror stuff like talos engines and haemonculus, which makes the faction so cool imo
if it's fucked up it needs some reading
gotcha
I love the talos pain engine so much
Such a cool unit
lol
Shark gaming
it's so grotesque and absurd it wraps around to being funny
True
that story of the guy being made into a servitor remains one of the most chilling things ive read
adding to it is the fact this is just common imperium practice and people just shrug it off
This was human once(maybe)
And they make toy Servitor, for children and all
thats rough lmao
would rather be a fucking pentitent engine at that point
at least you know youre going down at some point
Penitent Engine look fun, in a weird way
Bruh I’d rather be a talos pain engine then a servitor 💀
Fuck it we ball in Dreadnaughts
the worst is probably chaos dreadnought
Nuh uh
Like yeah Hellbrutes are pretty bad
Well treated pet at worse
but still better than servitor
Full on member of Drukhari society at best lol
And your whole job is just horrifically murdering people
imagine being Dreaded during the Great Crusade and you just so happened to be in a traitor legion too; mega blackpill
Or torturing them
There’s a world eater dread who wakes up to the legion post nails
And he’s uh
very surprised
The most sane World Eater?
So the mother just screams "Fuck him up, Fetus #2!" like a drunk MMA fan in the front row while having the best оrgаsm of her life during a childbirth
He ends up dying with the librarius trying to kill angron lol
Fallout new vegas legion fans are going to sign up so fast for that
Tbh
based
It’s not even clear how like “conscious” the original mind
In a talos pain engine is
YOU BELONG ON A CROSS
But it’s also like one of the only ways for a human to reach a high place in Drukhari society lol
Just joking, Yesman is the way
There’s a talos pain engine that’s in charge of slave management
For one of the kabals
Kill Benny
Ignore the faction drama
Refuse to elaborate
Leave
I missed the topic slightly. Is pain engine some kind of a dark eldar torture servitor that has most of his brains intact?
No
It’s a haemonculi flesh construct
Designed to inflict pain on its enemies
Usually made out of a human
@arctic talon Are Talos Engine made from Drukhari or not ?
It depends
The origin is probably irrelevant
They’re usually custom made to specification
So they can be made from human
After the haemonculi is done they’re pretty indistinguishable
Yeah
There’s one in a kabal that loves revealing that fact
To the slaves it’s torturing

Truly peak
At first I read haemonculi as something else which is incredibly worse, so I was slightly confused as to how that thing could torture someone
Yes but in my case >Fight him in the arena
very based
Haemonculi covens are hilarious
Prolly the most absurdly evil portion of dark eldar society
Fucker shot me in the face with my hands tied, no way he's getting anything but a crucifixion
Yeah I first read that as daemonculi
to think it's still very possible to live a normal life, have a family and die peacefully in this setting
Just gotta hope you aren’t born on a hive world lol
Win a one in a billion lottery and be born on a heaven world as a noble
and stay away from guys handing out weird books at the space port
yeah but still more aggressive
True
Casual Agri-world Farmer setup would be good
Just has to be one that isn’t awful
Yep
But I enjoy dark eldar for how comically evil they are
You just don`t have to farm Grox shit or something like that
Also the fact that sometimes getting tortured is part of your revival contract
💀
Imagine getting brought back to life only to get tortured to near death again
Pros to being a catachan: you have amazing physique, full natty, chicken, broccoli and rice diet, you have a lot of bros, girls are hot if you're into muscle
Cons: you'll probably be eaten by a bush at the age of 3
"Why are you torturing us Xenos"
"It's just my job mate, and don't call me a Xenos, I'm human"
Speaking of hungry, what does the imperium at large actually eat..like a typical hiver.dont imagine them going grocery shopping but they do have markets.. is there like an imperium cookbook floating around somwhere
I'll look into this now
Mushrooms
Scrape
Corpse starch I know is an emergency food product.. cannibalism is still actually frowned upon in the larger emprium, shocker right
Poxhounds is good eatin
If you engage in cannibalism youll be executed
I mean Agri worlds exist they still have some vegetables around
See: protein bars
The rich guys don't have problems having good food to be fair
If you're getting vegetables it's probably in an incredibly processed form or in a dystopian hellsoup
We don't get many descriptions of food stuff sadly, of the few I know one is Grox meat
Hiver diet depends entirely on their class really
Underhivers eat whatever edible thing they can get
Spire dwellers have access to pretty much anything
Etc
I want my spire dweller chef cookbook
I like to think there's a 40k version of door dash for upper hivers
For now it's basically an afterthought, authors can just invent random things as they please
Dan Abnett should get on this
Judging by darktide environments, bars are a thing so I bet there are some forms of fast food and so on
I'd personally love some comprehensive list of all imperial food and drink, and xenos too
They have a market district even in the lower hive, so I would guess some sort of variety still exist.maybe even street food
Tyranid diet gonna be lit
Well they eat a lot of people on hive worlds
Delicious people
Gonna go get a double quarter pounder at the Necromunda McDonald's Brb.
This is why you join the Guard and get good* food.
None of that corpse starch stuff.
can a psyker hide the fact that he's a psyker?
Sometimes the games gets corpse starch to so
For a little while.
what gives it away though?
If they're untrained, eventual slipping up.
Any number of things, sanctioned psykers ment to find you, psychosis causing you to slip up, mutations..
I see, thanks.
People can passively feel someone is psyker with enough exposure. Why they move often when trying to hide
Same with blanks but VERY tuned up
But this can be also a way to mask this fact. Case in point is Jurgen from Cain novels
Also depends which class of psyker you are. Lower classes tend to have an easier time hiding
So, yeah what they've said. A psycher is almost always viewed at with suspicion. Many that "hide" their abilities make money as fortune tellers or soothe sayers, and that can get them caught. A sanctioned psycher could feel their connection. The warp could cause psychosis, or worse an actual manifestation or portal. Basically at every turn there is a chance for the Psycher to get caught
The best analogy would be slaves running from Southern plantations, except for there ain't no north in the imperium they can get to for safety.
Chaos
Also this. It has been shown that if a psycher can tolerate a blank, the blank can nullify his warp presence and help hide what he is
It's extremely uncomfortable for the psycher though
Is there any good yt video or a tv show that covers psykers, specifically what was said above? The only thing I watched so far was some lore videos and hammer & bolter.
I'm honestly not sure....
Do blanks always know that they’re blanks?
Or is it like psykers where sometimes they’re totally normal presenting and then it just manifests one day
In the Dark Heresy book they present us a pre-made sector as you all know well. The Lord Inquisitor of this sector is secretly a psyker, a fact unknown to the other members of the Inquisiton. If a psyker could always detect another, there was no way for his "talents" to remain unknown to his fellow inquisitors - and probably he isn't a sactioned psyker either, cause if he was the other inquisitors would obviously know it (at least most of them). - so this was pulled from a forum
Idk how much you should trust it
What about books?
i can suggest a few youtube channels and a website
Lol, lmao
Does that mean for a good while, he just wasn't doing anything?
I mean yeah he was imprisoned but still
i wonder. just how high up is Wolfer in the 6th
he leads them in the hive but does he have bosses that are beyond it?
Wolfer is a Captain, and its implied the WHOLE Mobian 6th defected so theres definetly someone higher up
^
the only word we get of others is in Ascension Riser when Morrow mentions the "Moebian Command"
Wolfer is also definitely getting killed by us at some point
so theres gonna be replacement villains after him
Yeah he's definitely just good at doing his job
cut above the rest basically
The new villain comes and goes "Wolfer was a fool! I won't make the same mistakes like the weakling he was!" then dies to us in the same way
EYO theyre adding actual Moebian gear to the store
Called it
Theres a 18TH regiment
ah yes the 40k way of story-telling
because unfortunately at the end of the day the Imperium has to win most battles/plots

Sadge
Why does this knife have a pattern on it that looks like something an edgier version of myself bought in a gas station during high school
its 40k
why are you even asking this
💀
the ENTIRE SETTING is something an edgier version of ourselves bought in a gas station during high school
though UK so I guess replace gas station with Pub
Wolfer is most certainly someones pawn, he might not even realize it
His dialogue makes me think that he geniunely believes he is "liberating" the Moebian domain
cultists are not known for their reasonable minds
case in point
I need to see how nurgled wolfboy is
the dregs that charge an ogryn with a heavy stubber across open ground with no cover
I gotta see the pus
he has no nose and a face full of scars and boils
you can see his face in the prolog for just a few seconds
Oh wait was he the dude in the other cell?
yup
yeah
he has no upper lip ether
i give sales department the same look when they fuck up the same form 5 times in a row
wow what a hunk
yes he did
thats a carapace breastplate right?
i think so yeah
so it looks like he is now wearing a flak vest with a carapace plate over it
oh only now i realized he changed his breastplate
its probably ontop of it, layered
Its kinda weird how darktide shows carapace armour like old plate armour
yeah with the faceguard/collar
I looked up "carapace armor 40K" and got an image of a girl in bikini armor with a baboon smoking a cigar
should be canon
Huh
wtf
So yall see the moebian parade weapon skin text? Lord Constance Margrave seems like the current Lord Moebian. I had to take a second look for typos since his sister who's been mentioned once or twice, her name is Constant Margrave. I need to double check this a third time.
i believe theres no like, uniform style for either flak or carapace, the most widely known look is kasrkin
yeah there isnt
each world and each regiment has their own style
even the "cadian patterned" ones have their variations on the standard
I haven't read the new item descriptions, but might be the same person? "Lord" isn't always a gendered title in 40k
rogue traders and navy ship captains are all called lord reguardless of sex
or specifically lord captain
the first ever mention of tertiums ruler is from dev blog on moebian sixth
Lord Margrave of Atoma
our characters also talk about how nobles are disgruntled at how they handle this crisis
Constance would also be an odd name for a man, I've only heard it as a woman's name
i think they say "he"
afaik its like Taylor. nominally gender neutral but much more common for women than men
On Atoma Prime itself, Constant Margrave becomes the Lord Moebian, the 13th of the family line to hold the office and rule the Moebian Domain. Lady Margrave, his sister, while officially subservient to her brother, also holds some power within the domain
From Luetins video
(he talked with FS about lore)
Yeah I'm looking into it rn, it seems unclear at the moment whether Constant or Constance is Lord Moebian, but one is male and one is female, I'm sure it will be more obvious at some point
Or maybe there's some weird power sharing/body doubling thing going on?
most likely uneasy power sharing
which was what allowed the cult to grow
the sibling rulers where too busy trying to steal power from each other to notice the rot infecting the hive
thats my theory atleast
Ya there is an inconsistency w/ the only ingame texting naming the Lord Margrave's sister and that Luetin vid
Soldier's Punishment Uniform: "While most grunts find upper hive political talk to be beyond dull, rumour and gossip about the doings of Constant Margrave - Lord's sister - are always in demand."
Isn't there also a civil war going on with Atoma's nobility right now?
It might be unclear who the leader is
there's always a squabble between barquette and margrave, but a cold war is possible, nothing is stated tho
There was a power play in M46, the last time the fringe wars flared up as they are now, The Margrave's took power from the Barquettes after they ruled for a milennia, built Tertium, and destroyed Atoma's biosphere. The Barquettes took power from the original Lord Moebian House, alongside other noble house in a "Victorious Alliance".
But ya there is definitely a power player by one of the noble houses atm in Tertium. Assisting the traitor's w/ access to the Archivum Sycrax, and assumedly, recalling the Moebian 6th, smuggling stimms, etc
Damn dude
You should put this on the lexicanum

bruh I wrote this entire page over the last 2 weeks lol https://warhammer-40k-darktide.fandom.com/wiki/Tertium#M37-M41_Charting_Time
DAMN
Transcribed the entire luetin vid too
Very nice even if its fandom wiki, official has too much red tape i guess
and take a look at the commodore's vestiges pages to reference any items XD
it's just a public google doc to me
Proper dedication
Pls, my boys Finhreht Highlanders
Who that
Concordantly, if he didn't do what he did, humanity would exist as Demon slaves by the year 31,000
Ya, looks like regular hydra flak guns
the imperium has some impressive AA
like holly fuck an imperial fort is just covered in AA guns
If you're an imperial engineer and you design something that cant be described as "bristling" they turn you into a servitor
So lasguns don’t really look like they pierce through carapace armor so I’m imagining they definitely don’t get through space marine gear, so how does a lasgun unit kill a marine?
Does the heat just melt then from the inside or something?
Lots of shots may get lucky and hit joints and weak spots
One lone guardsman toting a lasgun may not kill him but a squad of 10? The marine will roll some 1s eventually.
Also there's weakpoints between their plates
Eventually they'll hit something, or wear through the armour
I was wondering like, if 100 lasgun shots all hit but do nothing it’s still useless, but like yeah if they’re are weak spots a critical hit will happen eventually
Cool
Well, eventually they'll just brute force melt through with enough lasguns
las guns are also pretty nuts vs anything that isn't crazy 40k stuff
unarmored humans, eldar, tau getting shot with one is about equivalent to a 50 cal iirc
Nah thats overblowing it
it has about as much power as a normal gun, but you know, its a laser, so more scorch to it

is it just a writer thing(like ever inconsistency in 40k) i've always heard that lasguns where very effective vs non bullshit stuff
Unarmored anything except Orks is gona have a pretty bad time against Las weapons
Especially since it flash cooks crap lol
They're very effective logistically compared to normal guns
Usually hits in weakspots like the eye lenses or other really lucky shots, if you have an overcharged lasgun you can hurt them too
In other news, my ogryn talked about Grendyl being taken by metal men and apparently having stuff put in his brain (mind shackle scarabs?), Ogryn is probably just crazy
funny
This is the second time the ogryn has mentioned mind shackle scarabs
if its not about morrow again
I do like how nobody ever drops Necrons by name and that is like the only interaction ingame about em lol
its more that necrons are a myth to most imperial fighting forces
meanwhile Loose Cannon has said that he has fought orks, tau, etc

I heard a line "the grey knights are a myth, they dont exist"
Dont know which voice or class says it though
Nagash is a lot more evil tbh
yeah Nagash is comically evil

whispers: "He knows most of us are meth addled, shell shocked, traumatized ticking time bombs teetering moment to moment between undying glory for the emperor and the depressing longing for a quick death over this slow one? Right?"
Lol
Cadian vet is all bark and no bite. They’re all pretty soft underneath lmao
Or maybe that’s only towards Ogryn (I mean, who can be mean towards them?)
The cadian vet truly means well, just a lot of frustration to get through, I’m glad there is more compassionate and patient voices though like Judge or Savant. Leads to some nice convos
Life probably sucks a bit when your world blows up (couldn’t be me)
And when you wake up everyday and have to go fight some alien monster (most likely), no time for dreams, just survive
I think their character has a lot more depth than people give them credit for. He's not just being an asshole for its own sake, he's just ludicrously emotionally scarred, thinks his harsh absolutist mindset is what keeps people alive in combat, and is frustrated that the others can't see it.
I agree, the character is written well
I also love how people pre-release were hyped to play a trauma-ridden Cadian
then they see hes a trauma-ridden Cadian, and say hes annoying and hate him
Classic 40k

I remember a meme about video game development and it had a figure representing a player shooting eye lazers as a lovely cake screaming, “I hate video games!!!” It reminds me a lot of this situation
You give somebody exactly what they ask for, and they’re still somehow disappointed
holy shit literally me
That is the motto of this entire game's fanbase.
anything they do it will get bitched about
its the entire reason I completely about the subreddit
I kinda regret not picking him ngl
can anyone explain the navigator household minis from a lore pov
i tried to find more than just the minis but came up empty
alot of them look cool
I made a slot for all 4 classes, I spent the 5th on a second Veteran for Cutthroat
his VA and performance is just that good
Okay then yeah
They don't really have minis minus like 1-2, they aren't an army option.
i meant this stuff its all labelled as "navigator household"
Thats... uh
Im saving my fifth in case a new class gets added (it will remain empty forever)
Lmao
Yo these are rad as hell
those are kitbashed custom models
Yeee
The navigators in lore are like abhuman royalty due to their complete necessity making them mostly untouchable by higher authorities. Not psykers technically.
The kitbashes are neat
I am a shade curious what would’ve happened to navigators if big e actually completed the webway project, they aren’t chaos incidents waiting to happen so maybe they’d just be left alone? Certainly would lose their privileged status, or would become popular in smuggler circles that may still use gelar fields
the Navigators Houses were already a threat due to the Webway project making them obsolete, im pretty sure some even attempted to sabotage it after learning of it under-wraps.
I thought they made rules for all the blackstone characters
I'm sorry, but I have to ask:
Wouldn't carrying yourself in such extravagant and heavy robes be burdensome? lmao
Especially that headdress . . .
That can't be comfortable
@gritty glade boop
IK its "rule of cool" and all but still 😭
We can't make a thread here?
That would be good since it's still not technically 40K lore
Fear da Everdank, the bad moon comes for all!!!!
Tbh it’s better then filling #theorycrafting
Yeah and no one annoying tends to come here anyway
true, but to be completely honest I'm also pretty much out of questions
Thanks for all the answers
👍
It's out isn't it
It’s a very cool setting
If you buy the expensive edition yeah
I think
I’d wait for more reviews
The PCGAMER review should be disregarded because uh
It’s by a very angry person

This guy
For AOS lore
AoS is basically He-Man / Sword and Sorcery but Rated R, dont let the vibrant heroic artwork fool you its abotu as fucked up and grimdank as most Warhammer settings in the fandom.

And this guy for funny maymays
Oh yeah I know, that 's part of it
On one hand Stormcast is clearly space marines for AoS, on the other hand they’re better written
Kinda but not really
They have a good premise
Stormcast are more Order Chaos Warriors
Unlike marines who are people but lorge
And sometimes shitheel bastards but othertimes baby saving humanitarians who care about irrelevant factors like "Collateral damage" and "supplies"
I don’t mean 1 for 1 space marines more like, it’s clear who they were marketted for
Stormcast are grabbed from people fanaticized by fighting Chaos and are more than happy to get themselves killed a second, third, fourth and 50th time to KILL CHAOS
Stormcast are much more like thunder warriors
In that they literally degenerate mentally
With every death
While also losing all their personality in the process, it’s neat, I also like the face mask helmet Dante has, so I like the Stormcasts for taking from that
Stormcast basically turn into Space Marines the more they die
which is hilarious
mindless killing machines with no personality

Except Vandus who's a psychopath by default
Planet of Hats is an awful trope tbh
The Great Horned Rat becoming a Greater Chaos God then immediately being told by Archaeon to fuck off is funny af
Skill issue tbh
Does aos have chorfs?
Not as a faction, but there’s so much hinting to them they’re probably the next faction, in fact I’ll drink nuln oil if they aren’t
There’s a few individual chorf minis in warcry warbands
Interesting
is wh40k a good source for inspirational quotes?
Depends what you consider inspiration
Anything, really
Uhhh for the most part not really
aw 😦
most of it is incredibly fascist lol
“What right do I have to let 3 billion people live”
Like
a lot of these is unironically super hateful and will get you weird looks IRL if you start spouting them lol
“My armor is contempt, my shield is disgust, hatred is my sword”
Makes me happy even an Enforcer like Savant believes in Innocence, probably never getting promoted to Arbites tho
Good people don't live long in 40k for 1 reason or another, that or they're so largely irrelavent to the grander picture that their altruism accomplishes nothing
A pragmatist is the closest you'll get cause only the most fanatical argue with them really
“You have been judged guilty of violating the lex imperialis. This is the law of the emperors realm. It is his law. if, as you loudly claim I have erred in my judgment, he would strike me down where I stand. If you were innocent he would have intercedes to shield your flesh from my shotgun shell…. But then you would stand guilty of wasting my ammunition. Be thankful I have saved you from committing such a crime”
least hostile U.S Police Officer
oh wait

Are you saying I’m gonna have to cover up those tattoos at my interview?
Aquilla tattoo
💀
The mods on the warhammer 40K discord told someone he should not get imperium tattoos
Because they uh
you know
Yea it’s a little hard to hide, what with it being right in the middle of my forehead and all
I hate satire's like 40k too realistic
Tau are reality
then again when is fascism isn't tbh
💀
Stratified caste based society
Heavily imperialistic
Generally not the worst to live under, has a ruling elite class
GW just made an irl facist nation 💀
“erm based???
”

💀
i already get weird looks IRL, i don't have to quote or say anything lol
So can I just visit the Emprah?
Is him on his Golden throne like a tourist attraction or something or is it hidden away?
Hidden away
you can go see the palace from the outside and thats about it
but that pilgrimage can take from somewhere between a century to like half your lifetime, some people die waiting to get to Terra on pilgrimage courses

Custodians, his guardians can.
and Guilliman the Primarch of the Ultramarines went to see the Emperor only once. And thats kind of it.
I'd hate to be him, like an estranged rich old grandpa
pretty much
Do you guys have a favorite house or houses of Necromunda?
I’m a little new to primarchs. Which one is probably the worst gut of them all
Orlock
Define worst gut
Like coward?
Think they meant worst guy
Fulgrim.
*guy sorry
Fulgrim is barely top 7 for me tbh
Despite being dead
Is that the Night Lord one or am I thinking if someone else
Night Lord Primarch. He was crazy, because of his gift of seeing into the future.
For my houses. I like Escher and Goliath. I wouldn't be surprised if a member of Goliath wanted to hook up with a Ogryn.
I really like actually noble good outcast gangs
Like civilian militia trained up by the Stranger
Or Necromunda style harpers
People say that the necklace around his neck was a Alderai spirit stone. So his technically alive still, but needs a new body.
So. Dead until he isn’t
There's only one that I can remember and it's a Ogryn who released his captive brethen and live in the sumps now.
Unknown we don’t even know if it was atuned to him
He might just be dead
And if you’re in a spirit stone you’re dead
Yea, but in a purgatory state. And fate is very sticky to the Primarchs, except Horus who basically got erased from existence. All except from memory of course.
And very edgy.
for that reason alone Kurze is never coming back
GW brings back primarchs on the association of money and profits first and foremost

Yea and I don't know they had to buff up Angron... Like why.
GW is just British League of Votann
Simple my friend
He can respawn faster because he can get his ass kicked more by named characters.

Look at Mortarion, he died like 10 fucking times in lore.
And his in the naughty timeout corner this time by Papa Nurgle. Also I think Jagathai has the worse fate to disappear in the Primarchs. Because he went into the Webway to go hunt and get revenge for the Dark Eldar who sacked his homeworld.
worse fate for the dark eldar
They can literally toss him into a black hole if they wanted
Jaghatai is the one at a disadvantage lol
And Russ straight dipped into the eye of terror
imagine ransacking a few meager villages on a world and then decades later space gengis khan has made it his personal mission to kick your ass
They might've captured him and sent his aging ass to fight in the arenas.
Most plausible cause or his the personal torture toy for Asdrubael Vect, a experimented eternally on by a Haemonculi, lastly result getting trolled by Cegorach.
I think there's a chance Ferrus could return as well, since there's been a ton of shit saying he'll "return when the imperium needs him most"
and right now the imperium is looking a little outta shape
Hist most likely gonna be returning as part of Legion of the Damned.
either way Fulgrim is next with the Emperor's Children update
after that as per protocol another loyalist primarch is gonna return, probably Russ.
oh that prick
fulgrim is easily the biggest loser of the primarchs
They're hypocrites on hating psykers when their rune priests are ones too.
You forgot Lorgar
Especially when his a Daemon Prince too. Then there's the good clone too.
still ends one of the greatest 40K bromances because a talking demonic sword told him to
lame ass
bum ass
If Trazyn ever releases the Perfect Clone of Fulgrim. I expect Daemon Prince Fulgrim gonna claim him as his property then they'll both fight.
I would literally kill someone for a tabletop Russ
Imagine Russ comes back and his mutated into a Wulfen.
GW will definitely pick him next
Holy based
I wonder how long it'll be before we get Daemon Prince Perturabo
As a model?
Yea
I am inhaling all the copium because I love the legion that got absolutely shafted by GW
The only thing I want more than tabletop Russ is Primaris Blood Claws
Very hard to guess because Iron Warriors dont have their own tabletop army. Primarchs like Magnus, Fulgrim, Mortarion and Angron took priority because of them having a faction and a patron god.
Meanwhile Lorgar, Perturabo etc are non-alligned and dont have too many special stuff tabletop wise
i mention these since its what GW prioritizes
tbh if Vashtorr ascends to godhood, he could end up taking the iron warriors (or perhaps dark mechanicus)
Based Chaos Undivided.
Sad, I just want my little Iron boy
Perturabo tho was confirmed to be a daemon prince
we just again dont have any art of it at all
because nobody likes you when you arent the 4 chaos gods' poster boys
💀
nobody loves you if you A: aren't marketable and B: got stiffed big time in story potential
^
(iron hands my beloved, you deserved so much better 😭)
A lot of people forget miniature releases move with profits/business decisions in mind

Iron Hands will succumb to using Necrodermis more than just being their hands. I swear its gonna happen.
probably
They'll be regenerating like the Necrons. The flesh is weak, Iron is eternal.
tbh what if that turned them heretic/acted as a point for Guilliman to give the Admech & Imperium as a whole more leeway on experimenting with xenos tech?
cause imagine the absolute stomping that could ensue if you had a lasgun-necron disintegrator fusion
that shit would be terrifying, turned a flashlight to a floodlight
I'd prefer it if GW based all their business decisions around my emotional needs.
Forgeworld Stygies uses Xenos Tech. Since they see the to abhor Xenos technology more as a guideline than a rule. Though the Tech-Priests that use such methods are a small number, but their work is very progressive.
They use shroudfields of the Dark Eldar to hide their armies, before moving in to fight.
We don’t even know if he’s in it
There’s 0 instances of a human soul being in a soulstone
Hell theres 0 instance of an unbound soulstone working
And I doubt the soulstone would have bound to him considering any Drukhari who had soul stones in the past just have them straight up disintegrate at a certain point
Well a Primarch isn't technically human... Human enough, yes. But their souls are special.
Again
I doubt he was bound to it
It would have turned into dust
Yvraine’s soulstone turned into dust a few years after she was in comorroagh as a Wych
Curse’s would have turned to dust if he didn’t use it as a shiny necklace
Curze is effectively dead and I see no reason to believe he’s in the soulstone
It would be stupid both for curze’s storyline and for soulstone lore
For him to be in it
Curze would just kill himself anyways if he came back
He wanted to die
Actually there is
but uhhh
ts VERY VERY VERY VERY
specific/niche situations
and has happened like twice lol
Nah Dark Heresy also had it
Oh
like i said "niche"

Okay point being I doubt curze is in there
and even if he came back he's killing himself
or having someone kill him
his whole thing is vindiction in death
his death justified everything he did
it proved him right
"Death is nothing compared to vindication"
are his last fucking words iirc
He never tried to change his fate, because he was too weak of will to even attempt it. If his soul is in a soulstone. Then he'll have plenty of time in it to reflect upon himself worn around on his would-be successor.
If not that. Then his Night Haunter persona could manifest as a warp entity built upon the horrible acts he committed in life.
Does the Farsight Enclave differ to the T'au empire when it comes to government?
Its basically a lot less totalitarian.
it was the entire reason Farsight defected in the first place
Farsight's band is pretty much a diffirent nation
So much that the Tau empire just pretend they dont exist
So what about the caste system?
The caste system is kinda still there but more of "We do better in this thing than the other guys" so we might as well stick. But i think non Fire caste can become a Firecaste warrior. I think one of Farsight's leutenants is an Earth caste engineer piloting a battlesuit if i remember
@umbral nymph Yes and no lol. It's almost like China and Taiwan
They are not the same, but ask any Tau specifically and they'd likely say it's all one nation.
Ah
And yea, the farsight also are not as strict in their caste. Likely because they aren't influenced by the Etherials.
Got it, considering maybe some are not as dissulusioned with the Ethreals as Farsight is
I think twice there's been tau offshoots and each time when the ethereal presence left they become a lot more relaxed culturally it seems
So is Farsight just that beloved or does he let each planet do what they want?
Ar'Cyr'Ru Mercenary Fleet were similar
I'm not 100 percent sure here
He definitely is a hero
I think farsight has more duties than playing city sim so maybe he just deligated some water caste and earth caste to do some of the day to day settlement management
But they do rever farsight as their "founder" to some extent and hero
Farsight isn't involved in the government of the farsight enclaves at all
beyond war
ironically
he isn't that great at managing
He's a warrior first, a general second
