I loved skyrim, but overall Eso disappointed the fuck out of me. And then while I like Starfield for some things, if that's the direction Bethesda is going in, I don't have much faith in them making any newer es games "better"

I found the same dungeon twice on the very first planet. To move across locations I had to sit through several unskippable scenes and loading screens only for NPCs or dialogue UI to bug out.

This and the issue people have with how bare planets are, I think are stupid. Part of this game is realism. Planets aren't like Earth or Avatar's Pandora. They are generally barren rocks at best, or hellish wastes at worst. Part of the game is wanting to explore that specifically and have that authentic nasa-punk "landing on the moon" experience

I heard a interesting but unverified theory the machine rebellion may have been due to a realization that if humanity lives chaos will become empowered. Pragmatic machine intelligences saw it as the only way to prevent their own destruction. If both are doomed, why not try to save one.
