which is understandable
Apparently GK were his worst
oof
They just know to hate him for some reason
I mean they probably can
GK were just OOF
honestly fitting for 40k
and people still hate them rightfully to this day lol
The ones who came after are the problem
For a Chapter based on secrecy, they're as subtle as an ogryn's rock.
yeah 4chan is like the fandom's Inquisition in the sense that they are the originators of a lot of falsehoods in the 40k community
lol
technically no one saw you if you killed everyone that saw you
space shark logic and whatnot
Your favourite blorbo loses a finger to an Ork?
Fucking Matt Ward
Your faction doesn't win outright?
Fucking Matt Ward
A gun sight is slightly different between two depictions?
Fucking Matt Ward
keep in mind this is the entire premise of the missions in darktide
technically these are stealth missions, and heretics arent by and large aware of them because we keep killing all the ones that saw us
I know it's not a meme either, since I used to be like this, and I've encountered dozens of brainlets who are exactly like I was
GW give me back my infinite range deathstrike missiles you dicks
I love playing in another country and launching a toy missile to kill the army of another person on the other side of the world

i want to help call a fucking missile strike on a board in australia
They got tired of me calling their HQ to say I'm dropping a death strike at random tables.
bastards
Dilara you don't need to cause another Cuban missile crisis
ngl im sure there is an ordo who's sole job is to make up coverstories for shit
i mean, you can still strike other tables i guess if your table is within 16ft of another table
ofc
The Ordo Redactus is an Ordo of the Inquisition. They seek to deliberately obscure and undermine knowledge of the Inquisition's founding, lest the enemies of Mankind discover some advantage through the information on the Inquisition's beginnings. As a result, they frequently come into conflict with the Ordo Originatus.[1]
ITS NOT THE SAME.
YOU DONT HAVE TO TELL ME THAT
dont they just erase the story?
same thing tbh
and the people that recorded it
lol
fr tho, i remember listening to my friend who was playing for 9th edition, and was one of the ones who refused to play against tau
Why
gunlines
Tau was pretty balanced
Beyond the indirect bullshit
But that applied to guard as well
Weren't Tau Castles mostly like, an 8th Ed thing
Nah
hes said that they werent "fun" to fight
im still not sure what he meant unless he meant theyre not satisfying to fight, because realistically he plays the same against them that he does imperial guard armies
You do play Admech
Tau are fun to me because they really emphasize good positioning
im not the only one who thinks that tau and imperial guard kinda play the same right?
They play
Really similar lol
IG just has better melee and slightly worse shooting
i mean that makes sense though
Now granted IG melee is still not stellar
And more world of tanks/less gundam
my brother would probably play tau or collect the models just for the mechs alone because he currently collects gundam
The 3 leman Russ’s advancing 9 inches is more of a gundam then a battle suit
He might do eldar or heaven forbid imperial knights instead
Imperial guard tanks moving faster then an eldar bike because a man in a hat yelled at them
so i know flak carapace and ceramite all have materials that can resist lasers but is there any armor that can resist like plasma or other energy attacks?
Auramite sorta
Gimme enough flak and I'll block plasma.
ngl i would do imperial knights even if forge world is just daylight robbery
Imp knights aren't Forgeworld
theyre not?
No
Not the main ones
They’re GW
Eldar fate dices 💀
ah
Plot armor isn’t a material smh
who does titans then?
yeah its "here have a small proto star for breakfest"
Like the Porphyron
Forgeworld
ah
Useful for big armour bits as it turns out
Meme is that the problem is how they were made , because Sororitas have similar mechanic
But that’s more of the wraith construct not giving a fuck it’s missing half its face
But they don’t get a lot of them at start
Then wraithbone protecting you
Also Eldar units are memes
what is wraithbone anyway? is it like the crystals that make up halo spartan armor but with 40k brand psykic warp fuckery mixed in?
With combination of dices
It’s literal physical warpstuff
Sorta like warpstone
But less volatile
theres a joke that the sororitas have boob armor so that people know that they're women because if they didnt, theyd accuse the eccliessiarchy of having men under arms again
It needs to be “sung” into existance
but can you snort it is the real question now :P /jk
Prolly
Warpstone!
It’s psychically active
It’s why craftworld eldar gear and eldar empire stuff
Is unusable unless you’re a psyker
As I remember Eldar get those from their original worlds in Eye of Terror
Those are soul stones
Yep
They “rain” on their former worlds
Wanted to correct
hey if the great awakening plays out in full then humans will be just like eldar and they can use it then :P
Man, you ever just murder fuck a deity of excess into existence screwing over everyone else in the process
Craftworld eldar stuck suffering because of the sins of their great great great cousins thrice removed

they literally have to go into hell to find the stones that are the only way to ensure the safety of their souls. thats deep when you think about it
At least Eldar might feel bad about it, unlike Elder Scrolls elves who want to literally end reality cause they’re smug bastards
It’s a bit funny the craftworld eldar feel bad about it
They literally had 0 part in it
Then again
Literal hole in reality
they ran away and did nothing
dark eldar can piss off
Tbf not like they could have done anything
Apathy is death
Against the eldar empire
feed those mf to slaneesh
They tried warning people and they didn't listen.
Yeah
Time to flee on the boats and live instead.
They did try
i know but thats where their guilt comes from is what im saying

God I hate the Thalmor, I’ll get es6 if it means killing them bastards

ngl es6 will likely be set well well after the time of skyrim. like all the other games where
I hold 0 sympathy for the dark eldar
to be fair the craftworlders tried to warn fulgrim who was very much compromised at this point
They literally sat him down and said don’t touch the dildosword
Fate trolled him on that day
And what did he do
this was after he touched the dildosword no?
One of the few times I think Eldar gave a straightforward warning and it still didn't work.
because they gave it to the wrong fucking person
I mean he had to pick the one asshole out of all 18 assholes who was least likely to just flip the chessboard when he heard something he didn't like
robot girly man
I mean fulgrim was pretty levelheaded
vulkan
Pre sword lol
Before picking up the Bad Dragon Sword, Fulgrim would've been high on my list
key words there
i guess rowboat was busy?
fulgrim, sanguinius, and vulkan id say were the coolest
Clonegrim was a plot device to show off Bile
Fulgrim proper will return with an EC faction supposedly
Clonegrim was also going traitor
only difference between fulgrim and sanguinius is that while fulgrim was always trying to strive for perfection, sanguinius just was
again
bruh the fuck why?

did he not learn from the original or are just every one that blockheaded
I thought it was a perfect clone of preheresy fulgrim?
Slaanesh wanted 2 I’m guessing
It was
he was
Apparently it's implied that Bile just thinks that
But it's irrelevant
the only reason he went traitor was the fucking laer blade
Bile is in a new book it seems
He is
why would he go traitor without it
Warp corruption
Bile was literally sitting in a lab in the eye of terror
Along with clonegrim lol
ah
Maybe if clonegrim got popped out and stayed in a better place sure
But he was in the eye of terror
With bile, and also met parts of the Phoenix conclave
I like how Fulgrim is the only traitor who seems genuinely ashamed and emotionally demolished by his actions, I just wish his motivation was stronger than "I found a sword that tells me to do coke"
He was on the path to damnation again
||from the title and the fact it has the old walking tank of a magos i assume he is after the rubricon primaris or something like that||
Do you want spoilers?
He’s after ||the progonoid glands of alpha primus and also wants to try to convince Cawl to work with him||
i think it would help if he just got sent literally anywhere not touched by the warp
is bile a traitor or no? because its never been clarified to me whether hes neutral, or just an asshole of a loyalist
||He's also being commissioned by Abby to make an answer for Primaris||
Bile is a gigatraitor lmao
||so yeah he wants to make his own primaris because ofc he would||
what was the point of clonegrim then? like in the story itself, aside from giving an in to Bile
Bile is a giga traitor
He was trying to clone fulgrim
To show how fucked Bile was iirc
Bile likes to clone primarchs. He's not very good at it, usually
||he thinks primaris are stupid funnily enough, it’s for his new men project||
||Pls no chaos primaris, how many factions of space marines can 1 corporation make?||
but he doesnt worship chaos, iirc he flat out told Slannesh it isnt a god even as his body was shutting down just looking at the dark god lol
Atheists can betray you
his only loyalty is to himself
while the concept is good, the issue is how theyre integrated
He also thinks the emperor not making female astartes was stupid lol
He’s busy working on his plan now
and i dont blame the characters who dont like the primaris
I’m talking about biles opinion on them
He thinks there’s 0 point to them
ah
And that they should have focused on making super humans who could have kids
||GW be like: challenge accepted||
Aka Bile’s “new men”
Cawl is improving marines, bile is doing a project pretty much in line with what emps was trying to do
the loyalists dont like them because they completely disregard the process that goes into turning them into actual space marines to begin with
Bile is trying to ascend humanity forcibly lol
No they don't lol
And granted the gland hounds and new men are like
Absolutely a success
But bile doesn’t think they’re good enough yet
Primaris are regular marines with some 2 extra organ s
i mean they dont go through the process of scout, to heavy weapons team, to actual marine, so on and so forth
Bile is ironically a perfectionist
wtf are the new men anyway?
They do go through as a scout
they do?
The big drama was the Unnumbered Sons reinforcements to chapters, who were pretty foreign and also initially lacked some of the mutations
Genetically modified and augmented humans
i was told they dont do that kind of stuff
They do still have primaris scouts
Loyalists don't like the primaris because they're space fascists obsessed with genetic purity and feel threatened by a newer model coming out, especially since it's also HeReSy
Yeah they still go through the entire implantation proces lol
Somebody played Fallout 1 and took notes
Lol
A few of his new men are practically indistinguishable from marines in combat capabilities
While in power armor
so what the emperor most likely planned for humanity if the heresy hadnt happened
No
Emps has a more psyker oriented view
No I mean after that
I mean, I think Big E was gonna Thunder Warriors 2
They still have scouts yes, they're not magically promoted to battle brother
The new men are also why bile got kicked out of the Phoenix conclave lol
And possibly 3 idk about his true feelings on the Primarchs
The Emperor was a simple man, he wanted everyone to throw fireballs without also exploding into a daemon at random times
They’re also very inexperienced from what I’ve seen
why not have both?
It depends
Primaris veterans are a thing nowadays
I think he shoulda tooken more notice when his Perpetual buddies left him
It’s been long enough in universe
The biggest example I’ve seen was that one who went against a chaos terminator and got his shit pushed in
A SM getting killed by a Termi isn't really that impressive
Also abbadon keeps on wanting bile to make chaos primaris
they have been around for like 500 years in universe last i heard
And bile says no lol
I'm gonna go pass out now, gnight 40k gamers
More like around 100
The Unnumbered Sons are essentially history, Primaris Marines are just the beefy boys most chapters have now
The Unnumbered Sons were the inexperienced, special case primaris
Highest attrition rate in marines since the great crusade
still more than enough time to have proven themselves
Yeah
Primaris captain I think? Or was it a sergeant
I do like how resistant the black templars were, a problem that was solved by a primaris just beating the shit out of a captain
Yes, I know I oversimplified it. Let me meme.
I know the chaos terminator absolutely hated the guy because he “didn’t deserve his rank”
a chaos termi can kick the shit out of most firstborn
hard to beat 10k years of combat experience
Also yeah chaos terminators are some of the best of the best
They’re Chaos Chosen
But even better lol
yup
You have a big x painted in your back in terminator armor
As a csm
Everyone wants it
Not that I’m not saying that that isn’t a given, but he’s basically shittalking him going on about how “This was the best that the supposed new marines of the emperor could come up with”
classic chaos boasting
I wish chaos chosen in 40K weren’t just space marine veterans but slightly better
which is higher, chosen or champions?
Champions
I want to say champion?
The leader of the chosen is a champion on the tabletop
got it
Chaos Chosen in fantasy/AoS feel like they deserve their ranks, the 40k one its just so much less
Aight
Because they don’t look as like
Strong
Despite their status in lore still being so high up lol
A chaos chosen is way bigger then the average chaos warrior
I kinda wish csm had a bit more to them, like cacti says there just more to becoming a warrior of chaos than a csm.
Not to downplay peeps like Ahriman or Kharn the Betrayer
Yeah and they have boastful statures, Termi don't really
Or Typhus
Yah
i will never understand how the empire managed to hold off chaos for so long seeing how so many of their forces where living weapons incased in hellforged demonarmor
Faith steel and gunpowder
I just chalked it up to faith and numbers
This is a lot better
Magic is really useful
Also Kislev is like all the nightmarish Slavic folk stories but real and meaner
Good luck in that nice hellforged armor
While you’re being cooked alive by a pyromancer
or baba yaga has her hut step on you
And good luck surviving this line of cannons
Oops your bones are now lead, die
Like as strong as the forces of chaos are
They’re pretty low tech lol
They don’t have gun powder, barely practice agriculture
Still sad they didn't give Baba Yaga a walking hit as mount.
Would it have been corny, yes. But it would have been a good rhing
can the metal magic users just crush a guy in his own armor?
Yes
In AoS at least
A human mage makes a chaos warrior into a crushed can
They do have metal manipulation in fantasy too, but I don't remember if they have a set spell for it
Christ he hasn’t gotten to age of apostasy yet
Also overall the various order factions in Fantasy are relatively cooperative with each other excluding Lizardmen, compared to Skaven and Norsca who can’t be bothered not to murder their neighbors
Also yeah order is much more friendly with each other
Chaos is uh
Busy fighting itself a lot of the time
as a player of all TWWH games i know that fact all too well. fuck the ordertide
Probably because order also includes nagash and sometimes orks
Ah
Nagash has his own little group
Orcs are destruction and nagash is death
Orcs, ogres and giants have their own
Fimir moved from Chaos to destruction
Nagash is angry at Sigmar
In fairness when isn't he angry
The guy I’m tag teaming with to explain 40k lore is finally at age of apostasy
dont he and Sigmar beef because the stormcast are the result of sigmar "stealing" souls atleast in Nagash's eyes?
Yeah
I believe so yes
Sigmar and the other order gods
Are stealing souls that are rightfully his
He wanted all the elven souls that got puked up by slaanesh
I gotta say, the models for the Luminary are stunning
And he got told no
Well he should have been quicker at claiming them
Lol
Skill issue
There’s an aos rts coming out isn’t there? Wonder if that’ll be fun
Realm of Ruin
so he more or less ended up in that meme of a buch of people giving the bird to an image in the center
Think it's getting Tzeentch as the chaos faction
Yeah
Finally a tzeentch rep in gaming
I don’t blame nagash for being angry but he also went about it in the most dickish way possible
SM2 is also gonna have Tzeentch
stabbing everyone in the back
Prim sergeant no ?
Lt.
its 100% got something to do with how titus can touch pure warp matter and not die/become a chaosspawn
Huh, wonder if we’ll be told how that meeting with the Inquisition went
He kicked the everloving shit outa a daemon prince, he deserves whatever he asks for
penitence crusade i think
for a good 100 years
I think we’ve potentially broken the guy we’re explaining the lore to
it happens
I think the other guy mentioning that the lore is liable to change on a whim was what did it
Nvm he’s good
I believe Ollanius Pious is real
I’m pretty sure he is
Oh I heard he got retconned, good. Humans deserve some spotlight in 30k
he might be and his story might not
like there is literally 3 versions of the story i have heard/read of
one where all of it is real, one where its a doctored version made by a rememberncer and one where its all BS for the propaganda films
I guess Malcador is a human, even if that human is an peerless psyker who is old beyond the concept of mortality.
Normal Guardsman (old lore)
Space Marine or custodes
Perpetual.
Those are the 3 I know of
The normal guardsmen in old lore might have also just been a legend
Which was the one who squared up to daemon primarch Angron and won?
I mean for most people in the imp. They don't really know what perpetuals are
I do the perpetual interpretation because that’s the one I like the most
The perpetual one
Well
A human with a really similar name
But that was a normal human
Who had the brass balls to well
Bout as human as the big E himself, which is to say: technically
Square up to angron lol
dude had balls bigger than the emeperor's flagship
I’ll do it if gw gives us bolt pistols
Oh wait the World Eaters flagship captain, she’s awesome
i imagine this is how it ended for him tho
SKARBRAND punting people will never not be funny to watch
ikr
Lotarra sarin
Whatever did happen to her anyway?
best attack animation CA ever made
fused with the ship iirc
The fact that it’s a tiny tzeentch daemon makes it even funnier
That must suck balls
Probably eaten by the ship idk, I think the lexicanum says the captain is a different person now
She’s still conscious
She’s the true captain
The real command deck got fused into the ship sorta
Her “body” is still in it
Warp fuckery never ceases to bring horror into the minds of all
Coincidentally angron also shows up on the real command deck now
Whenever he revives
Do orks get faster every time they get a kill in close range?
No
Because the blood paints them red
no
As funny as that would be
Ork waagh energy is memed on too hard
yeah
Well the warp is collective thought
its not nearly as strong as the memes claim
The real command deck of the conqueror is pretty horrifying mostly since well
There’s a sentient flesh monstrosity on the command throne
A bunch of dead people
Angron
The memes go a bit out of hand
they have no connection to the wrap
And some world eaters from the heresy
But technically
Then what’s their collective psychic powers?
Idk, something similar to the power of the eldar gods I reckon?
not sure if its ever really explained but the old ones made them to not use the warp because the C'Tan where immune to it
Be eaten
They just happen to not use the magic system the rest of the setting does?
Or is the warp only one aspect of the power of thought in 40k
Probably the latter
I mean, then you got the Shadow in the Warp, which some horrid third thing
And yet they still use psychic powers
And are based around collective thought
Hive mind
The waaagh field is connected to the warp
But it’s reality lube
Not literal reality bending
the shadow in the warp is like a chaff cloud the hivemind makes to cut off areas of the warp
It helps oil the gears of reality
Right
To make ork stuff work better
This makes sense
The waaagh field makes it functional
I mean, Ork techies know instinctively how to build stuff
Ork tech at best is really good
It has to at least simulate a vehicle
especially for their ships iirc
This could be based on their idea of what makes good machines
That makes sense
Because the Orks would still have to legitimately believe their vehicles work
But an ork shoota that normally jams
They don’t just will them to work
We also got to remember the orks are a biological weapon made by the Old Ones, which, who knows what sort of bizarre powers and tech they possessed
They truly believe they do
The waaagh field makes it a fully automatic death spitter
Tldr waaagh field makes trash usable
Usable good
And good very good
are painboys like meks in that they are just born with an instinct for medical knowhow?
Why the fuck did the old ones create the Krorks, I understand desperation but even back then they were collectively PSYCHOTIC
Pretty much but they’re more insane
The ork equivalent to medical knowhow yah
yeah
because they were pretty fuckin desperate afaik lol
make the ultimate killing machines, and stay FAR far away
Painboys make meks look sane
Krorks were a terrible idea
As soon as the ctan got involved, the War in Heaven got real spicy
Because we knew we would use them against ourselves
Desperation makes people even more stupid
I will say
I enjoy how 40k
Makes everyone terrible
Because that’s how shit would go
Everyone would hate each other, be racist, and RUIN their universe
Is there any hope for 40k
Or are we gonna get fantasy again?
Depending on who you ask, it was a show of strength to the Soviet Union, but that’s real history, and I can link you to a short (and I mean that seriously) 2 hours video on the subject.
Well it’s more that the Old Ones weren’t 100% sure the Krorks would attack them and hoped they would just war against the Necrons
We KNEW nukes would be used to kill our own kind
And even in the same countries
Weren't there Ork diplomats during the war of the beast as the Orks got close to re-evolving back to Krorks?
Seriously is there any hope for 40k?
I mean there was serious concern that nukes would evaporate the atmosphere
No, it's a grim dark future of only war l ol
That’s what I thought
“Abandon all hope”
Like MAYBE Necrons
As the classic opening goes
makes you wonder if there's a magic button somewhere in necronville that just erradicates their entire species lol
like they can make entire stars go poof
I guess you could be lucky and be born on the lowely insignificant worlds owned by the tau Farsight Enclaves
Necrons are spilt between ego lords and disaster prepers
They simultaneously try to genocide everything
While others
Attempt to go HOLY SHIT WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING
GUYS PLEASE
WE ARE SO FUCKED
The one who originally made the necron shells, who was that one again, he was featured in the show I believe
(Basically just 40k version of global warming, including that nobody will do anything about it)
I just had an amazing idea for a Dark Mechanicum faction if they ever get a codex, ones that mess around with Necron tech to try and remake the original transformation from flesh to steel
Meanwhile the necrons are collectively facepalming
Yah, but admech are kinda dumb, no matter if they like to put spikes on things or not
but hey we can count on the guard to defend humanity
the old ones were WEIRD; whenever they ran into a major problem they didn't solve it in any conventional way, they created a new species to solve the problem for them
Mmm monke
the war in heaven was not between two relatively sane species
After the dark age of technology
M30, apparently
causing Old Night right
the start of the age of strife predates the fall of the eldar by five thousand years i believe
^
the Old Night was caused by various factors
ironically the Fall of the Eldar was the thing that BLEW the warpstorms away and caused way for the Great Crusade

We are at M39
M42
yeah that
We technically dont know when
isn't this M3
I mean in the explaining of Warhammer lore
We’re 5 hours into doing that
ah
Jfc lol
Emperor protect me
One day i want to witness a 40k lore seminar
Instead of brain
There is bun
Warhammer lore seminar will destroy any sane person
instead of brain there is various special interests in a trench coat pretending to be an adult human brain
We’ve been at it for 5 hours. What do you think it’s doing to us?
We’re finally at at M40
anyway to clarify a point about ork technology
the kroot got their space flight and warp travel technology by reverse engineering ork technology
after a fashion
i mean, that is
that is to say
they ate them
anyway kroot have no access to the ork reality distortion so it's safe to say that ork technology is based on real, working principles
That sounds quite strange considering ork "technology", especially warp travel is held together by the gestalt field
I’d assume deep down enough it actually does work
It’s just that the orks aren’t evolved enough to take advantage of it
They definitely do take advantage of it
POV: me watching the one individual I locked in a room with me for over 12 hours discussing Warhammer 40k go insane
I mean they shoot the guns and ride the cars and fly the ships
I love how the Imperium talks about Carcharodons like they're bigfoot or UFOs or something
WERE IN M41 BABY!
what are you watching anyway
Me and another are explaining 40k lore in its entirety to someone completely new to the setting
we’ve been at it for 6 and a half hours now
jesus
I remember making a 40k reference because it was applicable to whatever was going on and my buddy asked
Who's Horus?
What's the Emperor?
Why is Horus rebelling against the Emperor?
Why is there a Great Crusade?
and I went eh heh heh heh, you're gonna have to give me a bit
Daddy Issues
The answer is Daddy Issues
When you enter Hallowette's shop, she can say something about donating to her 'retirement fund'
🤔
7hrs
Could the acolytes use GSC weapons that were former mining equipment?
so, I'm basing this entirely on speculation, but aren't pretty much all the 40k weapons just modified industrial equipment from the Golden Age?
Like Golden Age humanity just used nano-bot swarms and shit for weaponry I thought
Nope
Golden Age tech is super advanced stuff
more or less anything an STC can spew out and other high-scifi mumbo jumbo
the lexicanum page displays a lot of examples
Basically one of the reasons DAOT exists is for mcguffins from it to be used in 40k, which the writers can make for it to be literally anything
for example im writing an admech adventure novel?
"They are hunting and finding an STC that can instantly repair ship through cortex-mega-nonsense-repair-robots"

but abominable intelligence!
isn't that like a big plot point folk bring up lol.
Like if an intact STC was found, would the admech just destroy it
It entirely depends on the admech that find it
Some will study it
Some will destroy it
Some will use it in secret
etc
No , usually
Sometimes it might get stolen by some Blood Angels
Intact STC machine doctrine says to destroy it but no high ranking tech priest is that stupid
Intact STC instructions
Never destroy
Because you don’t need an STC machine to use them
yea, the templates and all that are like crack cocaine for the admech
No DRM
In the dark age of technology

Either that or the admech are really good at cracking DRM
“Admechs are good at cracking”

But to return to this
we only got like... 2-3 examples of actually re-purposed DAOT weapon tech?
Graviton guns is one
also Phosphex
Phosphex ended up being outlawed for some stupid reason right lol
Arc weapons ?
phosphex got destroyed by a tech priest
who thought it was so horrifying it had to be destroyed
he had his implants ripped out and was killed with a phosphex gun starting from the legs up
It was basically semi-sentient white phosphorus clouds yeah
if you know what white phosphorus is of course 💀
you forgot it being acidic and radioactive
and it lingers longer then white phosphorus

So phosphor weapon is okay but when he got to the phosphex he suddenly realised that it was a cruel weapon
phosphor stuff came after as a "hey we got phosphex at home"
Phosphex itself was rare tech
so you cant get it back once its gone at least
Phosphor isn't phosphex
phosphor is just super napalm
which is a lot less horrific
because phosphex fucking chases people
Wow guided napalm
💀
💀
Phosphor is an order of magnitude
less horrifying
like it just burns you to death
yeah Phosphex is semi-sentient
There were no civilians out there
it doesnt even go out underwater
Magical properties
which means there's something else other then fire involved
Phosphex is awesome
Either that
oh god
or it generates its own like
here comes the dark angels fan
of course he'd say this shit
could work

Listen

Especially when you have armor that’s resistant to it
slightly biased
Listen archmagos
those children deserved it
they shouldn't have stood around the combat zone if they didn't want to horrifically die
Phosphex and rad grenades
Thems the shits
You meant those “eldar” children
👍
Here , have a
💀
reasons I like the Imperium
#1 they're evil
Reasons I like the Mechanicus
#1 they are incredibly evil
This was classified information
watched that admech hammer and bolter animation today

Pretty good
To some
Would you kill a man for your pet that talks to you
if it meant you could save your pets life

Nothing is off the table for cybernetica datasmiths
including space marine dreadnoughts
Sorry my man points las pistol at guy’s head
well
because he's not useful lol
whats the comissar gona do lol
He's dead weight since he's injured
he's also clearly stupid since he made a fire
on a planet with a ton of Orks
At that point execute him because they lost a battle for the planet
Also yeah datasmith and that robot are doomed 💀
prolly lol
Blood Ravens or bust.
ok so when i woke up just now my first thought was "how does an entire inquisitorial ordo just up and vanish"
what constitutes a small ordo? how many members would it have?
There are ordos with three people
ok
I don't remember what they're called, but I remember digging through Lexicanum once and finding an ordo with only 5 people in it, no one knows what they do, but there's also an ordo with like 20 people whose only job is to watch them
so they have 20 people just watching 5
idk if that says more about the 5 being watched or the 20 watchers

Do Krieg ever customize their rifles? Like, would you think you'd ever see one carrying this sort of Helbore?
Grenadiers and veterans yes
The average one no
In the veteran guardsmen killteam the lasguns have some small differences across them that are optional
Lol I'm so glad someone knows enough to answer that. Coolsies.
I spend too much time with plastic help
I used to be the same.
Aw hell nah
💀
Bro wants that emperor booty taste
Bro bout to get the Horus treatment by the Emperor for that lick

Is this supposed to be a deterrent for learning about aliens or does this encourage learning more about aliens so you hate them more?
Both
you only are only encouraged to learn enough about them
Enough to hate them and kill them with no questions asked
The imperium absolutely hates aliens after all there is literally an inquisitorial order made to deal with xenos
Its basically a roundabout way of saying "don't ever give aliens the benefit of the doubt" as i read it
lore wise, how strong are zealots preachers? Quick wiki read say that they deal "blows emboldened by pious rage" and such. Are they actualy wielding some type of magic power or do they just believe that they do? As someone who is not well versed in the universe they just seem like some madmen with a chainsaw?
Faith in 40k actually does have a tangible effect and calling them madmen is also technically accurate
Theyre less prone to fear as a result so you have a powerhouse that is determined to shred enemies of the emperor to bits
Okay, im just thinking about how strong they are lore wise and if something has gotten buffed/nerfed due to gameplay reason. Like the psyker when I read about that seems that they would be a lot more powerfull and valuble to a team than "man with gun"
Psykers have varying degrees of strength, from pretty minor stuff like being able to move small objects with their mind to extreme cases where a single Psyker can annihilate an entire squadron
Our psykers are somewhere in the middle ground, not monstrously powerful but strong enough to deal considerable damage
Lore wise best example of zealot would probably be Sisters of Battle
Since they can manifest things with their sheer faith, like Living Saints
Would a Sister of battle be much stronger than a Zealot Preacher? From art work they seem to wear powerarmor and stuff, which I guess have it's own weight?
I'd say specifically our zealot is stronger in a 1v1 situation but SoBs are better equipped
They're just zealots but actually trained and equipped
our chars have basically main character plot armor
So is it feasible that a team of 4 would enter a infested city and do these tasks? or is that plot armor level type of power in the works?
our chars do mention sisters of battle and the fact if they do arrive they'll probably level the entire place to the ground
I dont think they operate on small scale
F i r e
Sisters are the same but also worse and WAY more uncompromising
Honestly the rejects could probably fight off poxwalkers and even daemons pretty well in lore. I always talk about how they're total powerhouses.
The issue is they don't get sick or corrupted, which is how nurgle really gets you.
The first thing the Sisters do is drop a Sistine Chapel from orbit and then rush underdressed shock troops out the door before burning anything they leave behind
Small scale is definitely not their strong suit
normal zealots are untrained lowest rank of ecclesiarchy while sisters are elite army. normally they are not even comparable but our reject is good enough to be in inner retinue of a pretty big deal inquisitor so he's just not elite enough to be trusted with power armor
Hey all question what is the psyker in the training room I’ve been trying to figure it out but I’m not finding anything?
Like she doesn’t seem to be a normal psyker
A plot device for us to have a training room
So not even a bit of lore for her?
Her name is Sefoni and she creeps most of our chars out
She is an Alpha Psyker, we don't have much knowledge on her yet, but we can guess she is a great Telepath
Thanks
I'd say she's no way an alpha psyker. that would make her more powerful than almost all sm librarians
She's also nowhere near crazy enough to be an alpha
shes powerful certainly, I still wonder if the machine she is in:
A) keeping her contained
B) Keeping her stable and away from being possessed through warding
I had 3 options originally but when I thought about it, it's unlikely that the machine is using her as a battery for something else because she has a bit of "freedom" in the world she simulates
Like controlling aspects of it etc
pickling psykers isn't an uncommon thing. most likely for control as you said
She also sounds pretty content with her circumstances
From dialogue she has a disdain for professional while adoring ogryns
Pretty much every message on the loading screen is suppose to be ironically/humourously fascist or hateful so yeah that checks out
[I bloody hate aliens] - John Guardsman (executed for looking at the commissar in a funny manner)
in a universe they religiously hate everything... ig the answer to the question above is, yes.
hate to learn or learn to hate, doesn't matter
I hate math
same
I hate people
Be fair, that's an order militant doing a "FULL PURGE", they're fully capable of being subtle when they want to be.
But if you're calling them in specifically, it's usually because you want everything on fire, praying for emperor, dead, or all of the above.
Like if you just want a couple people in power or carapace armor as a strike team.. there's other avenues there. Us, for one.

Question I had,
Why is the silent king scared of the Tyranids ? I mean, the necrons are basically a hard counter to them with the weapons they have available.
Because if they wipe out all of the organic beings in the galaxy he thinks there will be no way to study/find a way to return necrons into their pre-transferrence selves
Violent maniac wants subjects to rule
Also that lol
have the necrons ever not genocided anyone they fought with?
You would think that the Galaxies biggest kleptomaniac would have that..
in pariah nexus the necrons kill literally everyone
Now I wonder what the entropy rate of the Tyr is
it can't be bad because they can cross intergalactic distances
I mean yeah
who gives a fuck about some imperials

^
But no most necrons just give a full-wide genocide order
mostly because its not like their enemies will treat them the same anyway
most factions in 40k don't take prisoners, and if they do take prisoners you'll wish they hadn't
There is this REALLY interesting art from 9th edition though where it shows Szarekhan Dynasty necrons taking droves of human prisoners
Im guessing likely to be experimented on though so
the imperium will capture a small number of xenos for maybe interrigation, vivisection or both, low ranking chaos cultists if they surrender might be made into servitors or just executed
anyone more involved in chaos than at a really low level probably wont be trusted as a servitor
secessionist humans are the only ones who can expect any sort of lasting captivity from the imperium i imagine
Maybe study them to have a new biological body I suppose
because the other time I know they were willingly take human prisoners is to make pariahs
But of course they stopped the production of those because you know it's a hassle
Well the main group also kinda want to return to flesh iirc
I think that's what Szeras is mostly looking into?
That's why you see him with so many captive guard
Yeah some necrons want to return to flesh they're probably studying the body to see if they can make new ones for themselves
orks used to take prisoners, not sure if they still do
Generic forced labor, nothing that interesting
Is las"shotguns" something that exist in the universe?
Yeah but its never been at the forefront anywhere
since lasers are all about focusing the energy into a single point.
Shotlas - An illegal modification of a standard Lasgun popular amongst the techwrights and armour-mongers of the world of Footfall, the "Shotlas" is rigged to discharge more energy per shot, at the cost of beam coherence, with the weapon's shots swiftly losing power and becoming ineffective at longer ranges.
i mean if you're entertaining enough they may keep you alive
After all humans can be more interesting pets than squigs
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to be a pet of a giant green killing machine that has a machine gun for an arm
The most you can hope for is providing enough of a good fight to make them respect you, like Yarrick
Illegal?? Why?
Bro got afflicted with Nurgle’s giga aids
Fought for 18 hours
And lived to become a fucking dreadnought
What in the goddamn
A modification is often illegal in the imperium if it changes the function of the weapon from what I heard
Mechanicus being you know mechanicus
It's illegal in the same way a Sawnoff shotgun is in RL
Depends on ones perspective really, Plenty to choose from
i vote dark eldar
they are the most straightforward when it comes to their motives after all
Admech is horrifying cause it remain something that in a way is feasible, and not cartoonesque like the Dark Eldar
i mean yeah but you know we did get asked what to pick and I just think that dark elders are horrifying
the mechanicus are second in my horrifying factions second
Nothing is more horrifying than humanity’s capacity for war and abject destruction.
Considering the Bullshit they do everyday
Do you think they'll give ork dakkas to the crew if the orks ever arrive on world?
RP your acolyte as an Armageddon Ork Hunter.
In the first place ork weaponry is incredibly unreliable
I'm also pretty sure ork weapons don't function for anyone except them
Unless I'm wrong
So the Armageddon Ork Hunters are heretical then?
Like the random weapon that you can pick up in the floor in tertium is a lot better than what an ork has
pardons are given if they don't have a choice
the imperium might forbid a lot of things but they hate losing more
The thing is you can make an ork weapon function for yourself because a lot of them are just missing pieces, the WAAAAGGHHH just holds them together, so if you add extra duct tape and some extra components it should work fine but why would you waste materials on something that looks like it's been built by slapping together metal when you can get high grade weaponry, actually reliable weaponry
The only mention of ork hunters using their weapons I could find is them using choppas
And even then only some do it
On the hands of a human to be fair those things are basically just scrap great swords
if you're physically strong you can definitely use it
Considering how bat shit crazy an ork hunter is
oh yeah I forgot
sweats in Idaho
Also there is sawn offs in 40k which is funny and they aren’t illegal
probably because whatever you're going up against isn't going to go down with just two shotgun shells
even the lowliest of gangs can arm themselves with quite dangerous scrap weaponry
40k is also separate from real world, stuff that's illegal here can be legal there
In the game before last of necromunda I played the sawn off fucking obliterated someone’s champion
It was really funny
the Ork Hunters fight their feral enemy on their own terms, and have become extremely adept at their savage purpose. Their feral appearance and coarse manner has led to the Ork Hunters being regarded as little better than the Greenskin scum that they hunt and have earned them the enmity of many other Imperial Guard regiments stationed on Armageddon.
Necessary hereticalism basically lol
Like cigarettes (losticks) being illegal for being bad for your health
Can’t believe that the imperium do man kind is against lung cancer
Yeah these guys are quite loose on the head to the point that they only really fear one ork
Give us regular dakka first
Fair enough.
Gimme this. I want it for my vet.
That's a reaper autocannon, even a SM can't use it without having a Terminator armour
