yeah war spheres or something
they made them by eating ork big meks
it is funny that the kroot have better warp travel than the tau
How the fuck does anyone fall to chaos unironically? Who looks at a Nurgle worshipper whos basically a walking corpse with maggots all over him and goes "Yeah, this guy seems like he knows what hes talking about"
Well it works like this
It’s not willing sometimes, sometimes the only way out is chaos, and often times it starts off benign
For example Nurgle needs from you to be broken down
Slaanesh is for something that you crave
Tzeentch maybe involuntary
Also if you’re super depressed
Khorne is bloodthirsty
Because the Imperium is a literal living hell and people choose any way to escape they can get.
Its a slippery slope, its genuinely not that complicated
And usually
The immediate downsides are kept from you
They just promise you power
And an escape
Most of traitors usually go rogue before corruption
Desperation, lack of options
You’re too deep in
Slaanesh followers will take this phrase differently
shut up

Clearly he’s talking about the daemons ripping your muscles out and turning it into a harp
💀
Of course
Wait Codex Astartes is a book?
Just look at this and think for a second of why (dilara and elitewolf shut the fuck up)
yeah, its like the art of war, in the warhammer universe
That guy is about to get horrifically murdered
It exists in one example?
Im still here numbskull lol
Her fingers are literally under his skin
It’s a book written by Gulliman
About how to run a chapter
Tactics
Ect.
I know
Yeah its a literal "How to run a Chapter and what tactics to employ for Dummies"
Is there only one example of it?
been in lore for years
(i know, but im trying to get this guy into slaanesh, and youre always an imperial killjoy)
You fell to Nurgle because you fear death and wish to be freed from pain even as your body rots. I fell to Nurgle because it looks cool and I can now projectile vomit hydrochloric acid. We are not the same.
Probably act like a normal person and I won't be

has leaved me way back before the twilight
I fell to Nurgle because we have some things in common
Also not every chapter has the same version of the Codex Astartes, which I think people overlook
My rampent alcohol consumption will have me fall to slaanesh
I have a question about Tzeentch. Wouldnt he actively be making things better? I mean if everything is shitty and youre just making it various phases of shitty isnt that stagnation in a roundabout sense?
Some of these got the Emperor James version and some got the New Intergalactic Version
No because hes evil.
there we go, good boy
No because it’s different
my horniness will in my case
I’m going to drown you in alcohol
I was asking about it because, is it possible that one Codex Astartes book will be acquired by Chaos?
Prolly lol
I mean they probably have a copy lmao
^
uhmmm harder
There’s more traitor marines with guillimans geneseed
Plenty of traitor marines are from after the heresy
Then traitor marines of any other kind
Its literally a manual
I mean that's just because Guilliman's geneseed is the default for making new marines
anyone can get it lol
Yeah
Just wanted to point out how it’s very likely there’s a ton of copies
That chaos has lol
so its like the bible then
If you found a new chapter or your geneseed needs replacing, they just default to ultramarine because it's the least fucked up lmao
the bible is also just a book
god
that you can get everywhere
neat, not the same thing
(i know, im joking)
Some chapters worship it literally, it says not to do that in the book though
the bible doesnt offer military tactics and stratagems so

minus cool quotes i guess
but it offers homophobia
Bible gets pretty wild
wich i think its a military tactic
Can you stop 💀
The Bible is probably one of the most fun books I've ever read tbh
after jesus died, its just a falloff, so many good characters get ruined
i know right
The phrase "drives like a maniac" derives from the Bible where a King of Judea is just booking it in a horse and carriage
Like this guy drove so poorly they identify him from miles away based purely off his driving
Homer and Reverend Lovejoy trade Bible quotes from the book of Matthew. Matthew 7:26 Vs. Matthew 21:17. Never duel with an unloaded gun.
All rights belong to Fox Broadcasting Corporation; 20th Century Fox Television; Gracie Films; 20th Television.
The Bible equivalent in 40K for the imperium is the Lecto Divinatus
Or something like that
The Monster Girl Encyclopedia
oh shit right
Borgar Book
Crap someone mentioned it
wasnt there an ilustration made by a disney animator of a battle sister reading a book about slaanesh?
no thats just fanart
yeah
fanart is like that
I like how that guy took a bolt to the face and had time to grab at it to see if it's that bad
local discord user discovers people can point
the more i look at this picture the funnier it gets

90's 40k Art Moment
"ahh deary me! what travesty has befallen our fair hive!"
"fuck you people doing"
then you got this dude
Why does this guy has a flintlock gun?
and the fucking revolutionary over ehre
I WENT FIRST
because the Imperium is backwards
next question

can i be slaaneshi now?
I mean if you wanna get timed out sure
Oh look a walking onion
Does the Raven Guard have their own gene curse? Something about hearing the voices of the dead?
Yeah
you turn into a white guy
literally
Truly a grim fate
is it as bad as the red thirst?
You turn into an Elder Emo
id say both are tragic
I recently saw someone make an albino salamander to ship with their commissar
It's definitely a choice
Hey if you’re black you turn grey
"Weakness is a Choice"
He owns a musket for home defense, like the God Emperor intended
an "albino salamander" is definitely going to the top of my 40k OC Mary Sue Chart
But being a raven guard
Steals your melanin
And usually makes your hair black
The same way being a blood angel turns your hair blonde normally with some exceptions
I used to call Corvus Corax Severus Snape
no

Do you want to see the image
It's nothing too bad

I’m terrified

I'll show in DMs
you can just post here lol
Nah I won't
typical

After listening to the main song for Shootas, Blood and Teef one too many times
I think I have it cracked
It’s a fusion of Thrash with Death Metal vocals
Granted it is also heavier than Thrash

I wonder that chapter that is
I just realized the Noise Marines are the epitome of the 80’s

Devoted to the chaos god of excess, pop rockstar outfits, wacky sci fi environment
So true
slaanesh is the final boss of "be gay do crime"
I wouldn’t exactly say, capturing and torturing your victims to the extreme with unspeakable acts counts as “fun” but you do you
hey, everyone has their definition of fun
Fun question: Is there any traitor legions or renegade space marine chapters that you think should be linked to a different chaos god or be chaos undivided?
For example, the Crimson Slaughter are listed as being chaos undivided. I feel like it would make much more sense if they were dedicated to Khornpop.
Well it’s complicated
Namely based on each god’s domains
Plural
So indulging in violence or torment could be Khrone and Slaanesh
Death causing could be Khrone or Nurgle
It’s not necessarily EVERY chaos god in chaos undivided factions but more that they don’t neatly fit into one
Again to the Chaos gods it doesn’t really matter
Like to Khrone blood is blood
To the other gods
Worship is worship
They LIKE devoted followers
I feel like Tzeentch would have the least overlap with the other gods at least
But they certainly don’t care too much
Agreed
Tzeentch is also arguably the most powerful of the chaos gods too, right? Like he could win the great game but doesn't because shit'd be boring
Imo nurgle
Entropy and life is too primordial
Nurgle is correct when he believe he can just wait
And win
Oh yeah, I'm just guessing, I vaguely remembering hearing somewhere something about Tzeentch being the most dangerous/powerful or somethin
It goes khorne, nurgle, tzeentch, slaneesh traditionally
Iirc
From strongest to weakest
if they were in like a 1v1 duel or just in general?
Just in general
Rn the most powerful of the gods is khorne
As of end of 9e
Then Tzeentch, then nurgle
And slaanesh is at the very bottom because the great rift is not very conductive to feeding them
How do they quantify power for the gods? Just based on galactic events?
Yes
The codex just gives a list and yes based on galactic events
Generally though Nurgle WILL win without being contested
slaanesh was on top for 2 editions
With 6 and 7e
And then nurgle was on top in 8e
Then during psychic awakening tzeentch was by far the strongest
Till every chaos god collectively decided to kick his ass
So would like Slaanesh be the most powerful if the Dark Eldar became more prevalent I'm assuming?
They’re the most prevalent when conflict lulls
Which uh
Doesn’t happen very often lol
Fair lol.
So which would've been most powerful during the HH? I'd assume Tzeentch or Khorne
Khorne
By far
Slaanesh was very strong during the great crusade
And early heresy
wasn't it Nurgle that initially corrupted Horus though too lol
Unclear
I mean he was most prevalent on Daven when Horus got the big stab with all the undead and whatnot
The knife was corrupted somehow
It’s likely it was nurgle
But the other gods absolutely forced them to share
IIRC the knife was forged by the aliens that were part of the Interex civilization and they had some stupidly good understanding of the warp. The knife was in some museum and was treated like a weapon of mass destruction
then Erebus had to go and screw it all up 😦
Oh yeah mutants definitely need MORE health
10 rounds 80% damage mk5 ripper with maniac
Doesn’t die
Lol
Yup please buff their health fatshit, very fun
Just unlucky I guess

Are they still gonna get smoked by ogryn grenades? I dunno if the rocks kill them or not, haven't used them yet
Probably not a direct box hit anymore no
Because again
They NEED that much health
Fatshark says so
Rocks won’t either
That would be so disappointing if box didn't smoke mutants, that shit's way too satisfying
Health scaling is more than the box I think in next patch
Another renegade chapter, the Brazen beasts, should be related to another god or chaos undivided due to their love of daemon engines.

Aight y'all
I just finished watching Pariah Nexus
What the fuck is up with the Cadian Guardsman that's cearly not there
Hearing the effects of Walking Pox on late stage victims is pretty spooky in comparison to just reading what it does
Bc it's the most obvious chaos corruption I've ever seen, but isn't the Pariah Nexus meant to be a complete no-go zone for chaos
So is this just garden variety PTSD hallucinations? or is there some supernatural/warp/necron tech element to it?
Its only going to get worse now it's on console, lategame runs will just become stat checks with everyone stacking as much dps as mathematically possible into builds bc we can't expect controller shitters to turn around too much, so the only way to up difficulty will be more health and more damage on enemies
PTSD of the Sister ?
Yeah it's the only thing that makes sense I just remember sitting there the whole time like "The guardsmen is Tzeentch trying to trick her and get her to renounce her faith" and everything about it makes sense; but its the one place in the entire setting that explicitly can't happen, just felt weirdly like they were angling for the chaos thing but that's obviously not actually the case
Like I wanna clarify, if you interpret the Sister's struggle as if Khorne has a really strong grip on the sister and the Guardsman is Tzeentch trying to talk her out of going into full khornate corruption and siding with him instead; the whole thing still makes sense. But that's obviously not what ended up happening, I think I'm just salty that it strung me along for so long thinking it might be chaos but it literally can't be
Hallucinations
gee i wonder who that could be
Bob from accounting
That's actually me irl, took that photo yesterday
yeah no, Bob is way to powerful for that
wonder if squats being back means we'll get chaos squats
I mean they mentioned chaos dwarfs in one of the old world articles so they have some vague interest in the concept especially since they got a dlc in total Warhammer
production must never cease
I played them in WFB 9th edition (fans made)
Funny blunderbuss fire
@lunar harness
Write here
i know it's happened both ways in fluff. nids fled the death guard to avoid the diseases and the hyperadaptabilify overcame their plagues. its like they are both good at it so it's up to the writer
definitely either could win, but i think the thing that limits death guard in the setting is they are just a much smaller faction. psykers are terrifying but their capacity to just chain destroy hundreds of worlds is a lot less
tyranids have at least an equal ability to terraform the environment and spread disease/ injuries combined with infinite numbers, excellent troop replenishment, non warp dependent warp travel
i think the headcanon of tyranids are the strongest faction gives a lot more color to the stories involving them, because it makes the human resistance to it all the more engaging and tbh that's the thing thats most compelling about the setting
everything humans do should more or less be a series of "last stands" against a much stronger enemy
GW sorta wrote themselves into a corner with Nids because the way they're written makes them literally unbeatable long term if the "main body" still didn't get here
Guys they finally got the point
I fukin love bug boys but god is their writing odd
i think its just written that way so that the imperium can win wars against them and not have them out completely
like there is always another hive fleet coming once one is beaten/ diverted/ made too small to be a major threat
Because there is always new threats coming
The Imperium is a dying empire in its final death throes
Plenty of forces are set as "In the end, they will destroy everything and themselves"
I think nids could be balanced VIA saying that they cannot traverse long distances in Space without a lot sustenance
i think the threat of unchecked nid consumption is good for the setting
they don't need to be balanced
asymmetry is the heart of 40k for me
Agreed! It's more engaging with the overwhelming odds
I do not care for the way current tau lore is written
That's fair, they cater to a different sci-fi aesthetic entirely
Grimm you are the same dude that says Alpha Legion dont look 40k 💀

i really like current tau. them getting absolutely bodied by everyone is great because it takes the insane scale of destruction and makes it more personal
when they tau lose trillions it matters way more than the imperium
Also I just kinda don’t like the Alpha Legion in general
They have the ability to punch above their weight scale but the other factions if they actually put in work can actually overwhelm them
Poorly written and the overall aesthetic of them ain’t my cup of tea
My issue is they've been brought from an interesting questioning of socialist societies, like the disconnect in the ethreals and the common tau in both ideals and goals, and imperialism to a just kind of bland, run of the mill puppystrangling faction, the only thing that makes them notable is everyone else just has a puppymulching machine and they don't
cool native themes, warrior bushido codes, battlesuits!!!
Alpha legions threads that fine line of secretive is cool but knowing nothing of them makes it incredibly boring and hard to be invested in
railguns! cool tanks! HOVERING.
i think all their lore got killed by eldrad
like literally he killed every one of their characters
and dorn did the rest
so know they are just plan within a plan within a plan
They arent
which is good because if gw tried to write that plan it would suck
the fact that its ambiguous is a good thing
Even if the Alpha Legion's goal is actually pretty decent they're still traitors
They never help the Imperium
Yes
i think so but all dead
Never was retconned
i just read about it
40k barely does that
Eeehh
Alpha Legion is the silent guy trying to be cool by looking mysterious but actually just looks like one of those guys with the fake glasses and mustache on
This lol
People hype them up WAY too much
That’s why I’m team DG and Noise Marines
Yeah I rep two chaos gods tf you gonna do about it?

If I had a nickel every time a faction get overhyped to the point that it's become the lore of them being overhyped I would have two nickels that's already a lot
its because it's a cool character fantasy. i think gw should lean into it
them being double agents is a really cool idea
I think the DG are the weakest faction identity wise when talking about chaos
This is kind of an issue all chaos legions have but it's really bad for the death guard
it is an issue with all space marines
True but this is also just a Nurgle Thing
and there are stories where they impersonate other chapters to do good guy stuff right? or other chaos chapters which HAPPENS to help the imperium
there is no depth of emotion or character, and on top of that chaos has to deal with their gods being saturday morning cartoon villains
I hate to break it to you, Alpha just ain’t as cool as you’d wish it to be
I think iron warriors nighties and black legion have good identity. Albeit bl suffers from over exposure like ultra smurfs
Hey don’t diss Papa Nurgle like that
well I like the 30k stuff
betraying for the eldar and not chaos to save the galaxy itself is a cool idea
I think lumping Iron Warriors in with the other chaos marines is unfair, Pert and the Iron Warriors in general have fucking insane characterization
The flavor goes nutty with them
nurgle is an overgrown toddler whose motivation is just "like me or suffer"
Angron acts as both the stereotypical demonic angry dude while also being one of the most tragic tales
Nurgle and Slaanesh interest me the least out of the chaos gods
Eh tbf it’s sorta been thrown out the window as of late. Pert being a daemon prince is a big part of that
With the reveal of the skeleton robot man Vashtorr I just grabbed the iron warriors and just throw it at him
Smh, someone’s not coming to the family reunion potluck
I mean they probably work with him considering that they're like the tech savvy ones
I always forget this is a thing
Everyone else has a concrete depiction but everyone's best guess for him is big obliterator
Be'lakor....
Id prefer if world eaters were more 50/50 of crazy berserkers and other half of more martial and honourable warriors
They do. Accompanied him and abbadon to the fight on the rock
New Angron book had some of those
So basically playing off Ares and Athena
But the crazy train kinda is what it is
Be'lakor not really related with technological stuff so
A little yea
i just leave him be
I know but they shafted him
Is what it is if you're a little ******* prick that can't shut up about your glory
that guy is trying his hardest i'm presuming
We should put the two in a boxing match and see who wins
Him and Vash?
Yeah!
Cause that happened
I'm sorry?
On no not fight
Just a boxing match
No weapons
Pure punching
Put them bitches in a ring
Neither side technically
Vashtorr gets those spring loaded boxing gloves
Fucking inspector gadget chaos god
Be’lakor was just there to make Vash run out of time
GO GO GADGET WARP SPAWN
Go Go Gadget Murder Be’lakor
And i'm going to be honest he would probably pull a trick like this
Belakor goes for haymaker and vash just extends his legs and dodges it
Discombobulate
IT'S MALAL WITH A STEEL CHAIR
Fun fact, that wouldn’t actually work out well to my knowledge
Pretty sure RPGs need to actually travel a while in the air to arm
Put every minor chaos god in a room
I don't want to be that guy but yes I know it's a grenade, needs to get far enough and pass its minimum arming distance to have a chance of exploding on impact
You think the Noise Marines would blast Slipknot
Shitnot
I’ll twist your nuts
would impact with a human body even trigger the charge in an rpg?
Depends on the fuse. Most RPG's I'm aware of utilize that silver crush cap filled with piezoelectric crystal that ignites the warhead on impact.
it's HEAT right?
idfk
or something like that
yeah i looked it up, there's a few different types of ammo for it but most are HEAT
High Explosive Anti Tank?
The type of explosive doesn't matter for arming distance, its the fuse
yes grimm
yeah so if you want to blow up someone with an RPG aim at the ground where they are standing
it's a shaped charge
Direct impacts on something that would not be very helpful if you want to kill someone with an RPG for some reason
idk if the explosion would be very good if you hit the ground
probably still enough to kill someone
quite a trick shot though
Fun fact: you can fire a bullet with a hammer
depends on how close. But it's still an explosive that will shoot out frag

Even if you didn't at best you will be severely injured
gunpowder explodes if hit with appropriate force
you can but shouldn't
Yeah, all a gun does is refine the firing process of a bullet, a bullet fires when force is applied to the back of it which ignites the gunpowder within
modern bullets don't really use gunpowder, but cordite; the danger spaghetti
Man can bullets make up their damn mind on what ignition to use?
apparently what we use now is just called "gunpowder", i have no idea what that is, i thought we stopped using gunpowder because it makes too much smoke
I WONDER WHAT THE AGRIPINAA INFANTRY AUTO USES
**** it I'm just gonna call the things that shoot bullets shooty powder
Until they settle on what to use I'm gonna keep calling it the shooty powder
"actually the primer is powerful enough to fire the bullets on its own now, we just stuff some dirt in the cartridge to even out the weight"
or
the aperture science turret firing mechanism
Wait do Orks even use gunpowder for their shootas?
Or do they just will the bullets to fire
they use powder
probably mushroom based powder
the ork reality distortion is not that strong
it only makes unreliable things more reliable
it's more like it tampers with probability
things don't just happen because orks want them to, that's memes
Isn't cordite made with asbestos?
i'm not an expert on cordite or asbestos but no, i think asbestos is pretty inert
like the main selling point of asbestos was that it refuses to burn
blackpowder makes too much smoke, modern gunpowder is essentially smokeless
also it's not the gunpowder initially igniting, it's the primer which creates the initial spark when struck
gunpowder when not contained (and not in large amounts) will just burn like an intense sparkler. It needs to be contained to create the pressure needed to create the force for whatever.
Like if you set off a bullet by itself, it'll go like maybe 3 or 4 feet.
the bullet isn't going anywhere, the casing is going to the next time zone
it could function like a little rocket I guess lol, but it still won't go that far
the energy gets dispersed too quickly without much direction
just a little bit of hyperbole for my sins
I've thrown rusted 7.62x39 in a fire before, while it's still dangerous as hot metal can pop out and hit you, the energy isn't directed enough to cause lethal speed. You could probably throw a bullet faster lol
You're trying to think of reasonable logistics where there is none
logistics?
the conversation is about real life bullets
3
Real men pick up shotgun shells and use a hammer to fire at close range
Let me put some emphasis on if you're going to dispose of ammunition this way, please make sure you're standing far away and preferably behind some sort of cover. As much as it shouldn't be super dangerous, deflagration can still make wonky things happen.
I meant throwing em in a fire lol
I’ll jump in the fire with it to set it off
this is a MAN'S MAN
Can I get a quick synopsis on what happened to Cadia?
Who or what is the Black Legion? Heretics obviously, but what else?
They're the main force of Chaos worshippers
Ahhh
Largest chaos space marine legion by far
They used to be mostly sons of Horus
Led by this guy
Now they recruit pretty much anyone
In more detail, there were a number of Thracian regiments that helped defend Cadia
These regiments turned to chaos, and suddenly turned on the Cadians while on the planet, killing almost the entirety of the Cadian Upper Echelon
Then a ground invasion started, which newly promoted Ursarkar Creed crushed
And then the main Traitor legion force arrived
Imperial forces got overrun pretty heavily by it, till the blackstone pylons were activated
Which pretty much cut off the connection to the warp all over Cadia and began closing the eye of terror
Yeah, they got swamped, were down to maybe a handful of Kasrs, but mostly just Kasr Kraf
Interesting. That certainly helps to explain the bitterness if the Cutthroat personality.
The Traitors nuked most of Battlefleet Cadia
This led to pretty much every psyker on planet freaking out
Then the Phalanx showed up
While any daemons got banished instantly
The traitors had a big weapon called a Blackstone fortress that was supposed to destroy all life on the planet, but it got crippled by both Imperial ship fire and also boarders
Also any heavily mutated CSM just straight up died
Abby decided it was too much trouble to keep it, so he just threw it into the planet, cracking it open
iirc Cutthroat is supposed to be the one that was there right?
Not a fun time for anyone
Cutthroat wasn’t on planet I think?
Since he says he doesn’t know what happened
Only that the imperium left their planet to die
Probably since he's just a footslogger
Since he watched it die I assume he was on world when the BSF hit
Tbh if they were on cadia there’s a good chance he’s fucking dead
Cus they had some time to evacuate still
If he was in the cadian system though that would make sense
Since the whole system was at war
Still all helps to explains the bitterness, getting to see with their own eyes as their home planet was destroyed.
Yeah
How so? I must have missed some voice-lines.
You sure? from what I remember they shout about trusting no one quite a bit
I remember that line avtually
And when you select them their mologue is pretty much just
"EVERYONES A POTENTIAL ENEMY, NO ONE IS TO BE TRUSTED"
Do you think the Adepta Sororitas have girl power
Absurdly
He pretty much says everyone is going to go traitor
And he’s going to fucking murder them
Possibly.
Do you think they Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss?
Actually, definitely, since they’re all women and they also operate under the rule-of-cool
💅
XD
Absolutely
I love how ridiculous everything in the 40k universe is yet it’s taken seriously enough that you can buy that “it just works”
Like an all-female elite squad of warrior-nuns sounds ridiculous

But it’s fucking cool
Tbf the rules lawyering that founded them is comical
No “Men at Arms”

Yep
Ah so that’s why the Professional Veteran is in prison
I feel like if he deserted he would’ve been executed on the spot instead of arrested
I’m saying they most likely got in trouble for being too “vocal” about the danger of some enemies
Like wouldn’t that just be bad for morale
Yeah
Especially since their intro line
Mentions a comissar
Lol
They prolly said something about getting horrifically tortured by the dark eldar lol
Or something along those lines
Like is it in the job description of a commissar to be a complete unfeeling dick lol
“Come on men the Eldar Vs us”
Ik that sending so many soldiers to their death would make you a hardened asshole
“Idk man if they capture us we’ll be tortured and begging for death”
Buuuut?
It depends
But they’re meant to be cold
But still keep morale in mind
Some are a bunch of absolute psychopaths though
I respectfully have to disagree, it sounds awesome! 😄
Oh no it’s cool because they take it seriously
Granted, I’m a bit biased as I have lady on the lady-brain :3
It doesn’t seem as sexualized as it seems on paper
Tho not saying that they won’t look sexy slaying heretics 💅
Reminder that marines oil each other up
So they can fit into their armor?
Do you think that Shipmistress Brahms has girl power
Oh yeah they’re cybernetic somewhat
I keep forgetting that for some reason
Also it’s funny how Commodore Hallowette can shirk regulations just because she’s part of Brahms’s staff lol
She’s a rogue trader she absolutely gaslights gatekeeps and girl bosses
But does she yasss slay
💅
Good question
It’s not even about being sexy or attractive at all. I just love women and love it even more when they’re badasses. Not enough franchises do this without also making them these overly sexualized caricatures.
Mmmm women
I’m wamen that likes wamen too
Furry Adepta Sororitas when
Why do people always make things weird
Contrary to popular belief Khorne is ok with sex, he just doesn’t want you to be weird about it
I fucking hate the internet sometimes
Sexuality is inherent in the human condition. Figuring out how sexuality works within the worldbuilding is an interesting topic to many.
Seeing as they dislike abhumans, never
Except it’s not
What if she was cute 🥺
It’s boring and leads to garbage ass Headcanons
Nope
Nothing's stopping you tbf
The sisters we know are mostly just
Horribly
Horribly
Racist
Just like me fr
Or maybe that's not the right word but they hate mutants lol
Specist*
Nah they are xenophobic
Shit they'll gut you for thinking Passage 12-7 in their version of the Big Book is missing like two words
they kill humans en-masse too
Reminder that theres a sister order who deglove their one hand

Bloody Rose?
What does that mean
Degloving means removing the skin from
Take off the skin
A religious tenant where they remove their arm's skin
Usually in a very painful way
DO NOT LOOK IT UP!!!
O-Oh
So like
Ow
hence de-glove
Do not look up getting skin degolved
No no more
Still girlboss enough for you?
The easiest way to do it is uh
Actually
Probably
I shouldn’t mention it
Degloved
Happen quite frequently in the industries
Never wear rings
Yeah it's not pleasant
Yeah do not look up degloved on google its legit just gore
One of the more gruesome things injury wise
I saw a video on YouTube of a whale blowing up
Apparently biology screwed them over that badly

Its the oil and air buildup
I will never be able to feel safe in a factory thanks to Reddit
They just sorta go pop
they’re dead during it don’t worry
It’s not like they blow up while alive
Degloving is actually the 2nd worse work related injury I could get, the 1st would Hydraulic spill/jet
40k is weird
I mean
Do you think that they have church on Sundays
YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHING YET BOYO

The main group of humans are a bunch of psychopathic xenophobic religious death cult members
Every day of the week
Yeah religion is heavily punched into daily life
In the mechanicus it is
Unsure of elsewhere
The funniest part? The Emperor didn’t even want that but since he’s a vegetable skeleton on a toilet seat he can’t really object to it
40k also satirizes the catholic/christian church a lot since it was made in 90's england lol

That’s for the machine spirit isn’t it?
No
The Emperor
^
Ah
The “God Emperor of Mankind”
That’s hot
That’s hot
you’re weird
That’s hot
Although if the operators are nice and take care of their equipment sometimes the machine spirit will operate whatever machinery it resides in in service of the Emprah
In the imperium you don’t really get hobby time as a menial lol
they drink a lot
^
Regicide
Like
which I think is just chess
It's not to the level of hobby bs we can get up to
Psyker savant mentions festivals in the hive city
Sanguinala?
Mandatory attendance for those heh
Lol
Prob just military who strikes
And something about racing
Showing off the “might of the imperium”
The racing is for the wealthier people
Not menials
Who are the majority of the population
yeah camel racing
since atoma is mostly deserts
it definitely varies world to world. Like Hive cities suck, but there's worlds that probably aren't too different from what we know
Hive Cities are basically places like SF, Seattle, Baltimore and NYC on their worst days ever being what better days in hive cities look like
Which space marines probably have the most knowledge on farming?
The librarian?
Probs UM
Probably which ever ones recruit from agri-worlds lol
Oh so the “hobby” for all of the serfs is just having kids lmao
I recall the chapter master of the Scythes of the Emperor running his own farm
Just like irl history
Oh that’s the neat part
I think
There is no such thing as the Good Guys in 40k
Halo’s covenant is overtly religious
If you want an example of a comparable amount of zealotry
There's good people and minor factions in 40k, but it could be said major factions as a whole could be considered immoral
Except Orks
They’re just sorta vibing
Granted they torture and butcher any ‘umies and whatnot they come across
But they’re there for the fun of it
yea, nah Orks are pretty fucked up lol
it is their nature, but they're still pretty evil
I don’t think there’s any faction in 40K I’d call morally good
Salamanders?
No
They’re still absurdly xenophobic
I want state-sanctioned catboys :(
Thanos is the protagonist in Infinity War
Good
It’s his movie
Regarding religious protagonists
Like
Multiple of the 40K factions are very religious lol
Craftworld eldar, the imperium, chaos, orks
Farsight Enclaves could probably be considered fairly good
Yeah like isn’t that a huge point of the setting lol
A holy Jihad to cleanse the stars
Jedi is kinda like a religion
its almost like 40k stole everything from Dune
Jedi code and all that
What’s starfield
Bethesda’s newest game
I’m kidding
I liked it
Ik what it is
I like star sector because I can fund terrorists like the US government and get away with it with 0 political or economical consequences

My bf’s save has been bricked for a little while cuz of an error in a mission
lmao
I haven’t had a chance to finish cuz I’m waiting for the patch that fixes it lol
Actually there is a political one
The church doesn’t like you doing that
But you can also sell them drugs so does it really matter
Do you think margaret thatcher had girl power
I don’t even think she was a human
Wow its like Bethesda never changed

Aparantly you have to do 214 puzzles to unlock your powers lol
Maggy got the best and hottest spot in hell im sure
Especially when she funded those illegal paramilitary deathsquads to Northern Ireland
Do y’all think that Hadron is a Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss?
Yass slay 💅
hadron is a tech priestess
so absolutely
she also probably has randomly killed a few slaves on board the ship already with "experiments" lol
Apparently her amount of sassiness is unusual with tech priests?
Or are tech priests not that emotive generally
No
her personality is normal
she holds absolute disdain for meatbags unagumented, talks down to people they think are idiotic and generally has a poor attitude towards anyone they see as inferior
Idk why the characters think she’s unusual then
No, I’m pretty sure they mention that it’s out of the norm for tech priests?
Or she acts out of the norm
Whatever
not really
I’ll get a SS of the conversation if I see it
She acts like a lot of tech priests in books
or other games
if anything she isn't as hugely petty as you would expect
Lol
she straight up asks for permission to execute you instead of just doing it lol
She’s so nice
Admech and "normal" humans in general have a bit of a strained relation
both them and imperium understand that they need eachother
depends on what you mean by genuinely religious. most brandon sanderson novels feature characters who are religious
Tech priests are honestly pretty terrifying, the higher the position the more disturbing they are
look at Cawl for example
he is a towering amalgam of machinery and what little flesh remains, speaking either in code or extremely analytical detail
and when hes looking at you he is running all sorts of calculations and predictions as was shown in Battlefleet gothic cutscene where he talks with Creed about necron pylons
Cawl also moves incredibly fast
id wager Zealot would have most trouble with admech because the core principle of their and imperiums union is the fact Admech is allowed to practice their own religion (even if they say that Emperor is divine)
tbf cawl is a very nonstandard cogboy
His form isn’t super weird
It’s sorta like Scoria’s
Though Scoria had way more arms
And less legs
i mean ideologically
Oh
Well yeah
But appearance wise and how he thinks through situations
He’s pretty normal
For an Archmagos
there are voices within mechanicus basically saying he is a heretic, but at the same time he is pretty vital in current situation
It’s like
A bit over half lol
A chunk doesn’t care
And a chunk thinks he’s correct
anyone who would try stirring shit would have to go through Guiliman and Primaris
Also his literal entire armies
he is a heretic and a blasphemer
Worth of skitarii and servitors lol
because i doubt big blueberry would allow anyone to try any funny buisness
i think he's okay
Tbh
The fabricator general of mars doesn’t give a shit about what he’s doing
So
Approval enough for him
most importantly he delivered results
coulda used his time more productively
I don’t think he cares
the marginal improvement on empy's special boys was not worth ten thousand years
Again I don’t think he cares, he’s fucking weird
and yeah he doesn't care he's a fictional character he is incapable of experiencing my thoughts and opinions
"heres 5 gorillion marines, have fun, im off to fiddle some necrons"
adhd fixations be like
His blackstone obsession started sometime in M.41 since he had some of his underlings begin running around researching it
Trazyn showing him stuff was probably a dream come true
unless im remembering it wrong and it wasnt Trazyn in that cutscene
Hadron is still my favorite admech so far
her awkward jokes mixed with angry bursts and explaining things like im 3
"Spiky ones need BIG BUILDING intact to make more spiky tanks"
"Now, go kill some heretics! good varlet!"
and of course her trying to gaslight ogryn into believing shes not watching every single thing happening
she's great
Doesnt trazyn have some techpriest just sitting in his tomb just computing away and trazyn lets him just sit there
Yes he does.
Its shown in War in the Museum short story
its about as funny as you can imagine lol
He's used to his shenanigans as well
"Hey techie how you doin?"
binary
"Thats good to hear"
Trayzn has an admech intern?!
Trazyn literally has everything
i can imagine him just asking Trazyn to get him a nid to look at
hes basically a curiosity
he just thaws him out of statis because SOMEONE let tyranids escape from their frozen confines
a collectible
I mean what business lets their interns walk around freely lol

lmao
Do you guys think that Big E is a feminist
I don't event think that Big E is a humanist
big e is primarily an imperialist
I mean if you’re willing to be thrown in plastic armor and thrown at the unknowable horrors
Why not
Big E believes in equal rights for all of humanity, serving under him
Emphasis on serving under him lol
or if you have some mutation that doesn't make you entirely human.
Looking at you, Unseen.
My favorite part about Darktide is just how the personalities have distinct accents and how even within the same personality the different genders read their lines differently
I love it so much like aaaaa
Ikr
And also more iconic accents such as:
Fr*nch
It may not be Vermintide buts it’s commendable how good the personalities still are
In the grim dark future of the 41st millennium everyone has a European accent
Still very much would prefer a pre-set cast tbh
Agreed
Of course Fatshark hires unbelievably talented VAs
I also love the little conversations they have that imply that they all hang out with each other outside of the missions
Agreed to some extent
theres a reason for a game that came out in 2009 like L4D1 and 2 most people still remember the entire cast of characters from there.
I like no class restrictions
They also could have like
I’m okay with the personalities
Still kept the existing personalities
It just seems like a lot of work for them down the line
The VAs though are just insane
