I think they're going to take Slaanesh out of the setting like they did in AoS and replace her with Vashtorr for the sake of the Great Game, then use that an excuse to make all of the slaanesh factions less overtly smutty as they're less influenced by her, because apparently a big reason why Slaanesh and EC hasn't gotten any attention is bc they don't wanna lean too hard into the sexual vibe and the overt nudity on some models

The Savants themselves are hideous, bloated, stinking creations. Once men and women but now possessed by a Daemonic virus, they wear bio-containment suits to hold their decaying forms together. These foul entities are filled with a hatred of all things that live and breathe, and retain the skills and memories of their former selves. Individuals filled with bitterness and despair are particularly prone to succumb to the disease, which is drawn to the individuals from the Warp itself. From there, the plague will spread across a world, allowing it to expand rapidly across the Imperium. Savants are single-minded Daemonic entities and seek to only spread their infection and kill all before them. They can not be bargained with, reasoned with, or diverted from their task.

Stage Four: Once the dead have risen in great numbers, reality will fall apart in the infected region and daemons of Nurgle will be summoned to the Materium. The Vile Savants themselves now emerge from the Warp, controlling the Fydae Strain Zombies to do their bidding.

Stage Five: Nearly all of the infected on a world are killed, while a small number of survivors are deliberately left to become new victims for future plagues. The Savants then leave, seeking to repeat the process elsewhere.

They remind me of a more scary rendition of Manes from Dnd, however armed with a arsenal that can break lines, giving the husk like approach but not full on like boils and rot, its more a possesstion plauge but plague is plague papa nurgs doesn't care where it starts or comes from

Or that could just be the way they are drawn

I personally wouldn't look too hard past the basic units (for example vile savants are already technically ruled out by a few things such as the fact that current plague is not their strain, the methods of which the current cult operates)

Dregs are missing a lord at the moment, or rather we haven't interacted with em yet, alongside a few variants

It's also a bit strange that there's no Psyker type enemy, I'd imagine Moebian 6th would have at least a few

Basically

for the gore system EVERY enemy has a meaty skeleton under their "skin" texture, when you do blunt or high damage that part shows up to imply the wounds you inflicted on them.

The Mauler's thing is the power hammer strike reveals that deep wound but since their helmet is the highest armored place on their model they dont go down as easy so it remains like that hence the misconception lol
