yep
just their existence gave intelligence boost
While the books are fairly eh, it’s a good representation of what happens when orcs are given free exp boosts essentially
yeah, the beast wasn't even a Krork only a Semi one, yet it was capable of going toe to toe with Vulkan himself
And they can take a shot from a ******* Nova cannon
People do forget that the war in heaven was on a cataclysmic scale not seen even in the Horus Heresy
yeah, planets get destroyed on the regular during that war
yeah and Fabius bile himself commented that its armor is so advance that it's nothing like he had ever seen
So I’m going to be replacing my fence today. To put that into an analogy relevant to orcs: instead of the WAAAGH field and Orcs believing they could just think about those wooden boards replacing themselves magically, it would be like the nails I’m hammering in would somehow add more structural stability to the boards even if they were rusty or broken
yes that's the current energy output the WAAAGGGHHH can achieve, it can get ridiculous in the future but you know GW
Should be noted it may not do anything
Yes they could go from somehow working rusty nails, then hammers, to then knowing how to build and use power drills all because they spent a day doing yard work.
Because authors have said that the whole waaagh thing is mostly just a handwave
And per Prophet, whatever orks believe doesn't have to actually work
yeah WAAAGGGHHH is a very hard and complex ******** to figure out the times
Honestly I just stick with that its power output is proportional to the amount of orks
Because that's the most consistent one in the setting for me honestly
All we know is Orcs aren’t out here making lawn mowers and believing they are gassed up just because
The WAAAAGH field feels a lot like the Todd Howard “it just works”. They still gotta build the shit they use, but it just works
yeah just ******* toss it up to lore bullshit, you don't need a masters degree in mathematics to figure this one out
And just like a Bethesda’s game, orc bolt throwers for example are still dogshit, they just somehow can shoot abhorrent quality ammo, and with little maintenance
Orc genetics do funny stuff
yeah you can be born a pyromaniac a ******* feral ork in a certain clan, monster hunter the substitutes monster hunting with fucking tanks
be good at stealing
Pain Boys are great. Love em
yeah, your arm hurts?
Let me just cut it off and replace it with a machine gun
Underbarrel grot-launcher
That’s actually funny GW listen to this man^
I mean we have a snotling gun already so let's just find a way to make this one portable
Agree
Technically orcs* are the Skaven of WH40K
In means of technology
yeah they build technology that looks like an addict of detroit uses
Actually it probably be better in quality
That’s an interesting way of thinking, however what would 40k Orcs version of warpstone be?
Teeth
The entire planet of Ullanor? Cough I mean Armageddon cough
Scrap
Or basically loot
Shiny bits to add into weapons stuff like that
An anti gravity engine for a tank would be a very prized thing
Basically high tier loot is very good
Well scrap makes sense. What I mean is that warpstone is what makes advanced skaven tech work. 40k orcs kinda just use whatever they have lying around to make their tech work
It’s a shame orcs have 50/50 rules in 10th edition
Basically what advance garbage the imperium has
Extremely dangerous power sources
Orc bullpup dakka*
Exclusive weapons to scrap and turn into destructive cannons
Honestly yeah that’s reasonable. I can definitely see that then
Space hulks would probably be an especially easy source of material
Space hulk you meant a Giant orc ship

It's not uncommon for orcs to turn those into giant Kroozerz
😤😤😤
Rok’s
Like what happened in the third war for Armageddon
Weaponized space hulks
Orcs are the true protagonists of 40k. We are just living in their bubble
Which would you play:
Space Marine souls like
Imperial Guard fps horror
Ork 3rd person Doom Shooter
It's obvious what i would pick
Or doom like
I mean Boltgun exists
You play as Ultramarine
I am a certified Chaos Follower
See the problem?
We don’t have a game where the Death Guard are the protagonists do we?
Or Orks
Or Xenos
Was there ever a story where Orks and Humanity team up?
Enemy of my Enemy book
I just saw this in the meme channel and now I want it
THE STORY
For a decade, the Astra Militarum have been stuck in grinding trench warfare against the alien orks. General Pyrrhus, commander of the ""Golden Eighth"" hates the world of Cavernum Tertius on which he is trapped. He hates the unmoving nature of the war. But most of all, he hates his opposing number, the ork warboss who has dubbed himself "General Taktikus". But that all changes when the tyranids arrive. With a common foe to fight, can Pyrrhus and Taktikus do the unthinkable and unite in an alliance that could save them both?
Written by Nate Crowley
This story also appears in Inferno: Volume 1
Then Taktikus betrays his guard counterparts
No shit lol. As would the guard
When you want to be da biggest ork
Mfw the mage legion ain’t even Psykers
What in the ever living fuck are you talking about
Alright homie to the shadow realm with you
Thought that was Thousand Sons
Thought they were just unmarked mages and not Psykers
My man my man my man
Makes more sense for them to just be Psykers in hindsight

Guess an Oggy threw at rock at my face
Sir their whole entire thing ajd part of the reason why the rubric exists in because of psyker shit. Like Ahriman is a galaxy tier psyker
My brother:
Gonna go murder some heretics because my nerd rage in incomprehensible
Before I leave the Edict of Nikaea was part due in part because of the fucking psykers that made up most of the Thousand Sons
And the whole “flesh change”
Thousand Sons marines when I throw a fucking rock at them and make them stop thinking for a second
why in the world would magnus' legion not be psykers
i mean at this point they are sorcerers i guess
or
the ones who weren't turned into dust are
While we're on the mention of skaven, I still feel like you could flawlessly work the skaven into 40k by making them dark admech
It just feels right
It feels weird and tacked on, like every other attempt to bash them into the setting that has most of their core traits grafted onto a dozen different factions
If any faction was to appear in 40k from fantasy or AoS I think it should be the Lizardmen
Old One returns. War in Haven 2.0
"Aurelius, you see that giant floating frog other there or am i going insane"
"Bok"
Seeing a warhammer 40K version of a scar veteran on a carnosaur
that would be something
Like how all media is improved by characters fist fighting gorillas, all medoa is improved by having dinosaur mounts
We could have the Exodite elfs, they have Dino mounts. Would be a nice Kill Team. Like a few Exodite and a couple of raptors
Or fist fighting dinosaurs
Look at ExoPrimal
Have it be them stealing Chaos powers to operate their stuff. Imagine that would explain the failure rate.
So Orks?
Thats literally just orks
ork tech is surprisingly high tech not as high tech as the other factions but still pretty high tech
remember when orks turned an entire planet into a warmachine
orkimedes is on drugs 24/7
Admech has the warmachines that kill their users covered already
The Imperium are the space skaven.
Just put real space skaven in you cowards
Miss me with that Hrud shit
But lbr the Hrud are still pretty skaven, just not in a cool enough way
the Imperium is incredibly high tech, but don't know how it really works. Just like the Skaven.
The Imperium also has gene moulded guys, a sect for assassins
Hrud get around by living in the walls of Imperial ships and draw on powers no one really understands. We don't know if they have a skaven-like culture or not because we never really see their culture.
Sounds pretty ratty to me
Nah their culture is not skaven
Hrud were modelled as ratmen from 1 existing jes goodwin sketch before they ditched that idea and made them oil-spill victim looking bigfoot mfers
Anyway just give me rats in space it would be fun
no
POV: you see Dilara's true form

Literally me
they also have 12 high seats for their high lords, with a 13th one for their god that rule over their empire
so..like actual humans
You insult the funny little man and then suddenly your shipment of weapons just disappeared
Yes
This is just repeating the Pancreas vid
Many such cases
one of darktides crimes you pick literally implies you got sentenced because a noble didnt like you
The arguments he made are all relevant to why humanity fills the niche

people have been saying it long before the video
^
The biggest counterpoint I can think of is that yes, the Imperium is a backstabbing fascist cesspit
Hardly
But good people exist in the Imperium
And the sky is blue
the horus heresy is meme lore, it's just got out of hand
a small misunderstanding
Yeah the average human is less awful then the average skaven by a long shot lol
Like there is no good skaven. The skaven are not emotionally capable people trapped in a brutal system
Horus played a prank but it got so far out of hand he couldnt stop
I mean no
But there’s a lot of similarities between the Skaven and Imperium
its more that awful government/faction parallels just match with Skaven and the Imperium
Both are led by RATS

i think Queeks father is the closest to a skaven caring for someone other than themselves

Sacrifices a lot of their people because you know there is plenty for them to grind down
Systematically f****** s*** government because you know humans
Skaven are creatures of chaos who take glee in being born into a life of violence and treachery, they aren't victims by a long shot. The Imperium's messaging is totally different than that, it's about how far humans can fall in the face of extreme desperation and fear.
And the lot more
Oh definitely
Drifter didn't get the hint last night thats for sure
I mentioned it months before the Pancreas video on this very channel: #40k-lore-chat message
At the end of the day, isn’t 40k all about showing the different factions at their worst as a form of cautionary tale to improve relations against one another in modern day?
40k is also about being incredibly absurd
Arguably the Eldar Empire was
But
I doubt humanity will ever get to that degree
Lol
Orks are literally just dumb f****** mushrooms that Create funny guns because they can i don't see the cautionary tale part on that one
The imperium is the only cautionary part
Yeah I guess I was mainly talking about the Imperium
GW actively only acknowledges the Imperium as the cautionary tale
The tau might as well exist irl
So basically don’t take it seriously and don’t actually start worshipping a very smart man as an actual god and kill those who do not believe so

But dilaraaaaa Mr Bohemond told me this was written by a rogue intern!!!!
Tau originally used to be like, pure goodness iirc but got changed into a darker tone with implications of mind control, segregation etc
No just dont be a fascist

Yeah because the warhammer fans don't know what kindness is
40k was made during Thatcher's height in Britain by english teenagers that hated the current regime and seeing their country going through what it was at the time.
its ok big man, you can always throw rocks at snipers
Tau were never pure goodness
They were always a expansionist empire
That used propaganda
I love twitter so much
Today I was recommended a meme saying people that aren't happy about Sisters being female representation and want female marines just want to destroy the lore
They look like a fusion of Mao’s China and Imperialist Japan ngl
Yeah and somehow the character that is based in thatcher seems a lot more reasonable in his approach on life
They’re a fusion of a lot of things
For future use:
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/11/19/the-imperium-is-driven-by-hate-warhammer-is-not/
Yeah true
Constant, unending, driven in
Thou art not immune to propaganda
I mean
The cautionary tale with orks is to never trust English males
The cautionary tale is to wipe out all fungi
Fem marines always attracted the worst kind of people so it inevitably descended into chaos
With an unhealthy population of irritable neckbeards
^
I love male players telling me to go play SoB
as if they know what I want lol

Are you saying that english males have guns that can tear apart a tank
That’s it, go play Nurgle
Who think including someone with a slightly thinner neck on a marine sprue means the lore is now destroyed and marines are woke
Papa Nurgle loves and welcomes all
Umm, let me open twitter real quick
Those people are always the worst
i cant believe emperor of mankind is woke, ruined
Cover your fingers in plastic glue and grab their minis/s
unthin their paints
That’s just asking for Hell to be unleashed
You know it's pretty telling these people think the hyper sexualized ubermensch are fine but anything else is just "being woke"
most people dont know the Emperor is literally genderfluid in the most blunt sense and can look like anyone he wants
💀
I once told one of these guys that my OC chapter were lore accurate because "they were born with male bodies and the geneseed made them even beefier, but they all decided they wanted to feel more comfortable so most of the chapter is trans" and he stopped talking to me
He’s just very good at contorting his flesh and bone

Thats basically what biomancy is so yes
where are my tank tread marines
Emps often disguised himself as different things which is fun
Add that and then purposely post false lore on their minis, after posting the fake lore throw it in paint, and melt it down, collect the melted down parts and throw it in the garbage
imagine sharing a drink with someone and it was secretly emperor of mankind taking a break
I still love the story that shows The Emperor got petty in minor challenges like a drinking contest
Is that a baton with a chainsaw hilt lol

Then proceeded to beat his son unconscious in one hit
It's the classic viking axe maneuver that turns into bladed the brass knuckle
Okay, I dont know my UK history that well, but was Thatcher that awful as a leader?
They were pretty bad lol
We’re talking Margaret Thatcher right?
Incredibly so
For a lot of reasons
its probably wouldnt be as successful sales wise as "normal" warhammer content, but i lowkey want a codex that just describes various food, drink and passtimes in imperiums daily life
Yes
I'm just so happy that GW has decided to go all in on implying the Emperor's true form is a Turkish twink
or other races
theres a reason people piss on her grave to this day lol
Damn
I kid you not the largest Ork in the setting is based on her
Currently the largest ork
I can see it
Oh I know lmao I just wonder why is she regarded as a terrible leader and given a spoof character like Thraka
Basically while im not British, she basically helped the UK in a lot of ways but also uhhh kinda constantly supported rich people while the more middle-class/poor people of england were almost left jobless due to some of her reforms and some small british mining towns were entirely abandoned because of it.
Some people have an high opinion of her because she was the classic "Talk tough and get shit done" personality as a politician but her acts still hurt a lot of the british people, along with kinda fucking up Ireland and making the tensions between the two nations even worse.
Well fuck
I’m still surprised there isn’t a 40k style Total War game unless there is in the form of Dawn of War and I’m just stupid because I never played it cause too young at the time

Total war won’t work in a 40K format for one
Yeah its why most people (especially the people that made 40k) thought she was an absolute fascist.
You're not immune to propaganda
Its all just going to be shooting
And the poor engine already struggled with ranged combat
Just a lot of shooting
It's really debated if Gaz is supposed to throw Thatcher
No I meant 40k universe, Total War style game
Like literally just f****** shooting
Doesn't help that "mag uruk thraka" actually means something in Tolkien's Black Speech
i like to imagine that Emps changed appearances on regular basis to mess with people around em when not busy
Ok that's it, i'm calling you Ederius the artist of Slannesh
You did that to your self
Mag = great, Uruk = orc, thrak = to bring
i take great pride in their work
That's not mine
That's made by LinnLaio on Twatter
The name means Great Bringer of Orcs, so I think the similarity is coincidental
I knew it
Brits are Orks
tfw still saddens me that Slaanesh is mostly seen as segs segs and segs while it can be so much more
I fucking knew it
Yeah
Like segs, drugs, and rock n roll
That's literally one of the running jokes in the warhammer 40k community
Like literally
Orks are apparently based on british football hooligans
They also used to be based on Neo Nazis 💀
Its hard to look past the exposed nipples and theme they got going tbf
I can see it
But GW went away from that
We do not talk about the storm boy incident
You heard me
I'm going to wear you as a pelt if you keep talking
I swear to god
Bruh tf were GW doing with Orks in the early days?
Gaz literally used to have swastika on him lmao
Early gw wasn't the best
Trust me
i love ancient warhammer art because theres hillarious shit like this
Wait till you hear about the Battle of Big Toof River and Ork's Drift
You do not want to know
POV: civil disagreement
a slight misunderstanding
A little horseplay

Personally
God dammit
I blame Hugo Boss
Yeah they were based on sturmtruppen
With the naming conventions of germans
Wack
Stormtroopers were WW1 tho
Yeah and gw borrowed lot of things
god remember old nid designs
They like to grab things on other eras and mash them together to make something
I still love how simple things were named in German, Zweihander. A sword you hold with two hands, a Flammwerfer, a gun that shot flames

I actually don't find the orcs were neonazis thing as bad as it could've been. When you compare orcs to anything from real life, it's always been shorthand for "and that thing bad" up until recently with D&D deciding orcs are nice, actually. I get that it's not great for a hobby that has attracted actual fascists, but it could've been so much worse.
Yeah it was not the worst thing gw made back in the day
Besides there's plenty of actual racist stuff in fantasy you can feel gross about
They exist I guess
Yeah Orsimer
I'm just kidding i play as one
I save them all the time in daggerfall
tfw Argonians are so hardcore they fought off whats basically a demon incursion
Most fantasy races in D&D are usually like
You want to kill an elf?
Kill high elves
Then again Malacath is like one of the only cool Daedric Princes
kinda like how Catachan made demons fuck off
F****** thalmor
Me and my homies hate xenophobic elves
Argonians are terrifying genetically engineered demi-god monstrosities of course they're tough
But the average drow who grew up in drow society is uh
fuck elves
not very nice
My brother in christ they literally counter invaded oblivion
its still amazing that Catachan basically solves any invaders by itself
Thalmor are so elitist they’ll claim to other Altmer they’re lesser cause they’re not as saturated in skin tone or their ears aren’t as refined
What the f*** are they made of

I myself accept Dwemer supremacy, their only undoing were themselves
They're a manifestation of nature itself that was cast off when the wood elves were made because they refused to be civilized, then they were re-made by psychic trees to be living weapons
They're pretty hard-core
dwemer decided "screw this reality" and godded themselves out of existing
absolutely based
The hiss trees are pretty heavy metal it seems
And left behind their civilizations to mock all other races for how inferior they were
Hist
The Hist are basically something out of Lovecraft and specialized in flesh crafting so yeah, pretty metal
Potato potato it's a tree that turns a lizard either into a female or male
Mfw to kill Argonians you have to be a lumberjack
You know in Black Marsh they aren't necessarily lizards right?
Hist trees can turn them into literally anything they want
chaos squats
Don’t tell me this is a blob fish scenario
I can barely tell wtf I’m looking at
observed by as commissar, imperial squats battle chaos squats
Kind of? The ones the we see in the Empire and beyond are kind of a "diplomat" form made to blend in and act nice. In black marsh, they can be literally anything, depending on what Hist decides it needs.
Yeah that worked out well
So you're telling me that an argonian can be straight up a kroxigor
The Hist probably has a couple Argonian dragons laying around
Is that is true then that is f****** awesome
No
Idc personally but I don’t think GW should remove anything unless it’s like straight up absurdly racist
Like the uh
Old fantasy minis
you know the ones
Should i pull up the image
If it isn’t directed at Irl people or groups, it ain’t worth being rid of
Only if they request elaboration
Yeah yeah
therefore we can still call Orks Brits
Mf got gains
Bro is made to be a tank
Other argonians claim the ones in the game are "scrawny" and "weakened" because they're far from the hist
They're 7 feet tall lmao
is an assassin
Man i really want to play as a argonian behemoth in skyrim
And I wanted to ba- I mean, hold a wholesome and loving relationship with Serana
There are also Nagas, who look almost like normal argonians (the Saxleel, btw) but are extremely venomous and seem to have been created as assassins, when they don't have a job they act as bandits
What about the shadow scale are those just an assassin organization
I heard they are just argonians that have chameleon like properties
Yeah it's a group, not a species
I still think the Redguard are some of the coolest people in Skyrim
But Argonians can also go back to the Hist and ask for their body to be changed again, so they can get new powers if the trees agree
They single handedly kicked out the Thalmor from Hammerfell
So that's probably what they're doing
Oh yeah and Argonians simply chose not to experience time
Like past, present and future are all the same to an argonian and sometimes they can just view all of time and space as a single point and understand everything that's happening in that point
The fuck
There's no magic lore behind this, no complex story, they simply chose to do that
Man elder scrolls lore is a doozy
Argonians are monsters, man
Im curious. Do they ever say roughly, how many Inquisitors there are at one point in time? Or can you roughly assume how many there are?
I dunno if that’s a dumb question or not
Unknown
Imperium is huge
There's less inqusitors then space marines is prolly what I'd say
A good amount but not like.
“Oh god there’s so many” type deal?
Inquisitors are very rare, far less than 1 per planet
They're very powerful but they're also spread very thin
I'd say a few hundred thousand at any given time
Still mad that Elder Scrolls has adamantly refused to use any of the actually interesting environments in the lore except Morrowind
I mean ffs why is the new game not set in Black Marsh or Valenwood (you could literally have a moving hub city/dynamic map)
But yeah lets set one game in a barely inhabited tundra and the next one in a featureless desert what a fucking awesome idea Bethesda
You are not clowns you are the entire circus
I'd say there are more Inquisitors than there is Custodes, that's for sure
Im going to say us wearing gear from krieg and commissar stuff is canon in a roundabout way
the cash shop lady is implied to be able to get her hands on a lot of shit you normally wouldnt be able to
"special offers" and the such
i have a question, do kriegs have psykers implemented into their units or are they attached
im trying to make an oc based off of my darktide character
aw :((
i just got into warhammer little over a year ago and i have much to learn but damn is it good
Some of the outfits are just there for reasons
But the Krieg vet is explained as in the service of Grendyl
Because of his name, that is not actually THE Jurten right?
That wouldnt make any sense since he died on Krieg.
So Its just a easter egg of sorts right?
Jurgen is just a name that makes english speakers go "oh yeah, this fucker knows about goats"
It has big "ambiguous rural area of central europe" energy
Is he german? is he swiss? did his home country get dissolved in 1640? who fucking knows?
As a european, let alone German ive never met a single man named Jurten.
Is it a first or last name Btw?
Thats even less german
Jurgen is his last name
Jurten could work, even though it sounds abit strange.
But Jotun sounds more northern
his first name is Feliks iirc
Felix Jurten?
Yeah that works
nvm I am dyslexic i guess
mmm just looked it up, his wiki is sparse af, but it does say Jurten.
Something similar, Jürgen is a german first name.
Jotun, Jurten, and Jurgen walk into a bar
Honestly Id assume alot Krieg are gonna be named after him.
Or similar to him as a show of respect or whatever, so why not lol
I mean the lore is kind of inconsistent on if Kriegers even have names
There's a few ways to make it all "add up". Some people think the rank and file are nameless, but veterans and officers get names as a privilege. I prefer to think they don't have names in an official sense, but they eventually start referring to themselves a certain way.
Either way, it's not like their parents give them names in memory of relatives or heroes
Krieg also isn’t like super German
Beyond the naming convention
Fucks sake the dkok cosmetics we got have a British styled coat lol instead of the usual French one
I always think of it like in Star Wars where its like "Oh hello my name is CT-73828 but just call me brooks" or whatever
Germany WW1 afaik
Aesthetically krieg is just a mish mash of the western front
You have a German helmet and naming convention, French coat, British-esque gas mask
I mean tbf I see the designs of coats and masks vary alot with adaptations
mhm!
7e onwards they def made the coat much more French
Krieg just look like Krieg. Even the parts of their outfit that are clearly inspired by certain armies aren't historical recreations, but you can shift around details in a certain way that you'll always recognize them as Krieg
I heard it used to be ww2 till people cried too much.
Heck my old toxic aah friendgroup called me a- yk what for liking them lmfao
They don't really look like anything in particular
Nah WW2 era Germans are Armageddon steel legion lol
Nah Krieg was originally an alternate paint job for the Armageddon Steel Legion, which were and still are straight up nazis
Krieg got popular and their design was made a bit more distinct
I see, well I am not surprised, they were iliterate and idiotic af.
But thats interesting to know coming back to the topic!
I do have a armageddon suit ingame but I never knew it was straight up just ww2 nazi germany.
Aint my area of expertise lol
Also the fact they uh
Yeah I can guess.
Armageddon is really just the planet GW puts all the nazi stuff on huh
Orks, Steel Legion, Templars
Ive learned that as soon as I heard about the dark eldar for the first time.
Really a bad neighborhood
Lol

For the better I suppose
What is the likely hood of a guardsman getting their dick bitten off by a khorne worshipper mid combat
very unlikely
you're wearing body armor
and not naked
and also statistically speaking about half of all guardsmen are women
because khone empowerment
They have a fucking sword
ya but
They are going to chop your head off
sometimes you just feel like biting, ya know
Nazi in terms of design?
Because those people need to pick up a history book
it’s clearly WW1 German themed not WW2
Steel legion on the other hand I haven’t seen
Okk…
Ahhh, now that’s the Hugo Boss uniform right there
?
Hugo Boss was the man who designed the German uniforms during WW2
I think Mordian Guard look more Hugo Boss then other regiments
Like change colours to black and grey
I’m gonna be honest
Here you go
That looks more French
I think it’s because of colours
Which you could argue is still reminiscent of the design since France was controlled by Germany for majority of WW2
But Krieg?
No
People who say that’s Nazi are idiots
Krieg is just straight out WW1
Exactly
AND FUNNIEST THING IS THAT THEIR COAT IS FRENCH
And neither Fascismo (Fascism) nor Nazism were even made at that time
Like Coat that they use is French
those came about during the Great Depression period
Steel Legion on the other hand
Yeah that’s straight outta Germany 1940’s
just a different color
The Big Sad
I mean
You’re not wrong
But it meant Depression as in economically
When the value of everything went to crap
Got so bad in Germany it was cheaper to burn money than to buy fuel for fires
The ideologies not the uniform
Oh , then I agree
Hell the Depression is probably the only reason those ideologies really gained traction
Same reason as to why Communism didn’t immediately kick off in Russia, the nation was doing fine enough until WW1 started
Not so much
I mean yeah there were a couple of other caveats
Like Germany yeeting Lenin back into Russia to shake things up over there
Before WW1 there was a revolt in 1905-1907 which brought back something like parliament
After a lose in Russo-Japanese War
What Doing fine?
It eventually was shut down
Yeah I may have forgotten to expand the period of what I said
Should’ve said was going fine until Nicolas II showed up

Steel Legion's german coding eroded over time and people didn't really pick up on them compared to Krieg.
Still 50/50
Krieg much more fill the "fascist soldier in perfect uniform with gasmask and cool weapons" tropes to a T
its why their fans can be really bad lol
Which is hilariously ironic
Legit lol
Big bloodbath and a lot of bad things happening
True
It most likely that they resemble bad guys
yeee
Perfect Bad guys
with Helghast thats the point
with Krieg GW toes the line
since they are "WW1 Nations in space"
Isn’t the Commissar design rooted in a Communist theme?
Also I love Helghast uniform choices
but their outfit is more european officers
Yeah true
Okay
So there’s a huge arguement in General some bozo is saying Horus winning would’ve wiped out Chaos
Technically Commissar’s are political officers
And that the Gateway project would have never finished lol
Winning The Heresy?
Yes
And then they tried to say I knew nothing about the lore
Like it’s their point

Personally I’m surprised the Kriegers aren’t more inspired by Russian WW1 soldiers
Commisars are there to be badass dudes in fights
After all ever heard of the Siege on Osoweic?
They are political officers in lore
so its the same thing
“Hey fight or I’m putting a bolt round through your skull you coward”
Better known as the Attack of the Dead Men?
Would be funny to see guardsman squads lead by commissar’s standing behind the main line and shooting deserters
Also thats the sign of a bad commissar
I know
and they dont tend to live long 💀
Ciaphas Cain lesson here
Mfw we had literal Kriegers irl at that battle and the Kriegers aren’t designed after them
Honestly I’d rather the bandaged and wrapped up face than the gas mask to add to the horror of them being.. they are cloned right?
I’m not crazy about that?
Kinda
True
the soviet commissars wore olive drab, they just looked like officers
They arent clones
He didn't, the company just made them
they are just mass-produced from vitae-wombs
Vat grown
Difference is blue cap
so they dont look similiar to each other
Confirmed recently to be clones of Jurten iirc
@undone ridge go ahead and explain how Horus winning the Heresy would end Chaos schizo
Since I don’t read the lore
You won’t come in here and say that
Yeah GW went on it like
3-4 times?
"So they are clones?"
That's the weird Alpha Legion theory
That the fkn uhh
Cabal gave them
It effectively meant
"Oh it'll end humanity and deny chaos a real win"
Like tell me this wouldn’t make more sense for a group devoted to a cause to the point where death is seen as the ultimate forgiveness
Or something
Besides the generic gas masks
what the fuck is that
Man literally coughing up their lungs and blood just to chase you down and kill you
Yeah but they make no sense as a regiment
That is the Siege of Osowiec in WW1
Where the Germans gassed out the Russians to try and take the fort
Like are you gonna make an army of guardsmen who are all dying of lung-cancer?
Also I don't think coming into another chat, @ing someone and calling them a schizo over 40klore while there's a discussion going on is exactly appropriate
its an idea that sounds good on paper before you try to put it to lore and have it made sense
Typical Forge World Regiment
skitarii vanguard
That's the Skitarii's job fr fr
I was thinking of the more visual department, it would add to them seeing themselves as failures and death being the only way to make it up
I live in industrial city
Mf boutta become an Iron Warrior fr fr
or was it Iron Hand
Fuck I mixed them up again

Lot of mines , chemical plant outside and couple of factories
Daemonculaba 🫤
dont bring that up
This is an in depth guide on how to get a bolt round through your skull, basically
Stop
Should I be thankful I have no idea what this means?
Yep do not search it up
DO NOT CHECK IT
That's the theory yeah
But like
They’re calling me names but won’t come in this chat where you guys know about lore
it's a piece of extremely shitty writing
But I don't think they know exactly what that whole shebang entailed
Horus did not want to wipe out humanity
You know curiosity is gonna eat away at me, give a general, simplified SFW description so I don’t have the urge to look it up
But that would've happened if he had won
Is the deal
it's NSFW inherently so
The Chaos Gods would literally not allow it since their main food is Humanity
my like not safe for life
Fucked up way to produce Chaos Space Marines
Oh
Chaos gods don't give a shit
lol
Apparently used by Iron Warriors
Also no he wanted to snuff the influence of the God Emperor since he was a liar
But only by Honsou and his buddies.
#Lorgarstarteditall
That was the whole big thing about the Horus Heresy was the emperor betrayed and lied to the Primarchs about outer powers
True
And thankfully so.
No no you aren't understanding me, humanity dying is the consequence, that's what the Cabal told the Alpha Legion
Kor*
Its a thing from a space marine book where some Iron Warriors on a desolate planet tried to find a way to make new chaos marines and basically their idea was pumping innocent slave women full of drugs and enlarging their stomach to birth new "aspirants" before they break out of the stomach, they then re-stitch it and start the process all over again, was made by a chaos lad named Honsou.
It obviously failed and our Ultramarine protagonist was traumatized by this experience seeing all this shit happen on what was suppose to be his penance mission.
Its a very fucked up part of lore but there's a lot of much worse examples out there, people just regurtitate the hell out of it like a joke and it kinda has become a dead NSFW horse at this point.
Alpha Legion do it the right way, at least
As Fabius Bile is also... strange
It's why they're so elusive on the whole loyalty front and why they kinda play both sides
Sorry
*played

What
Yeah its very stupid
And apparently there were some guardsmen who dealt with it and were not traumatized like Ventris.
Alpha Legion is divided as there is true loyalists among them
mind you Dilara is giving a brief rundown of how it is, its described as so much worse
Death Guard recruit the old way
There aren't
Ventris literally got stitched inside one of said stomachs.
Alpha is Traitor
^
Feels pretty obvious to me
Pretty outright treasonous
9 loyal and 9 traitor
That's actually worse than just seeing it.
it felt like horror for the sake of horror
From the last book
You mean the brainwashed Alpha Legionnaire who kills the one loyalist guy?
Also can we get an F for Sanguinis
Yea but the Cabal also sucked
I’m guessing Orks have their own groups like how SMs have their legions?
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
The fandom loves trying to show Alpha as "Are thye loyalist or not? What a mystery! ;)" when they are just straight up chaos marines.
30k plays with the idea of them serving both sides but most 40k fans entirely ignore this and just keep huffing copium that they are secretly loyalists, by M41 theres basically no loyalist Alpha Legionaries left lol.
Are they called Clans or something?
Yeah that's why they were going to enact the loyalist contingency thing before they got stopped by
A single psyker
I just think alpha looks stupid overall tbh

What if I want to be da biggest Ork?
"What do you mean this mutant that can read minds was able to dig out our contingency codes that we're all brainwashed with?"

Alpha legion is like completely traitor by 40k
Well in the last book it is clearly said they are divided and not all thinking the same, even saying some remaining loyalists
Well blame Omegon for being a stupid simp
And gather teefs?
The alpha legion by 40k with alpha legion colors are traitor
That "last book" was also over ten thousand years ago
Alpha Legion is Vsauce, the Legion
He went and joined Chaos basically cause he thought the Emperor wanted him to
you cant hoard teef technically
any alpha legion post heresy most likely went blaack shield
They had good rules 😢
I agree
I am Alpharius, but what if, I wasn’t?
Aren’t their still Alpha Legion loyalist tho
Vsauce theme plays
I don't think we know anything about what Omegon does, we know Alpharius is dead and was trying to swing the war the traitor's way, and after he died the AL fucked off on their own
Ork economy is lowkey hillarious, everyone has a source of income (their teef change very frequently) but its also impossible to hoard wealth because the teef rot
So to break it down,
Basically every faction has their equilavent of a Chapter/Legion.
- Necrons got Dynasties
- Marines got Chapters
- Guard got Regiments
- Sisters of Battle got Orders
- Orks got Clans
- Mechanicus got Forgeworlds
- Knights got Houses
- Eldar got Craftworlds
etc etc, basically its this way to allow you to make your own homebrew factions within said factions and let you play around with them for tabletop and homebrew, its why its perfectly crafted in such a way to let you have your own fun without being too cringe (even though some people still fall to this hole at times lol)
Not in 40k
When they they do the great meeting it shows a lot of different states of mind
Some are full chaos some are opposite
Explain
The one "loyalist" alpha legionnaire people keep referencing in 40k is the leader of the redacted
Who is
Just deluded lol
I knew about the craft worlds one at least
Yeah every faction has an equilavent
They’re the big ships that can make stuff right?
The Redacted are like traitor as fuck lol
Ikr
Why have I heard their being groups of Loyalist Alpha Legionnaires
they aren't chaos but they're absolutely traitors
People are stupid
Fan lore that isn't canon
VERY stupid
People come up with crap and telephone gets played
Because people want Alpha to be some weird mirror image showing both sides or something idfk
and then something false gets seen as canon
Imo they should’ve gone more into the hydra theming
Have it be so that the more of their legion you kill the more come back
Does Alpha align to one Chaos God or they are Undivided?
You know it’s kinda stupid why most of the traitor legions are traitors
Warband dependent
I doubt they even know who they follow anymore
Daddy issues
Officially undivided.
Like the main 4 factions of the chaos gods are so fucking dumb
Word Bearers are all four I think
Well most of them killed most of their loyalists and those that didn't die outright died after the fact
Word bearers are undivided
Craftworlds as the name implies are basically massive continent/planet sized ships, when the Eldar Empire was going full psychopaths they were the smart ones that realised they had to get the hell out before a horrible catacylsm happened (which it did and it lead to the creation of the Eye of Terror as Slaanesh was born).
Craftworlds are more or less every seperate eldar doomsday preppers' homes, they basically have every thing they need to survive as a society or to relax/chill, its the most paradise-like locations on 40K and you can kinda understand why each individual craftworld and its eldar would lie down their lives defending it.
I'd explain more but the chat is going super fast rn
I know
I wish the Eldar never attempted to kill Angron
World Eaters are Khorne, Thousand Sons are Tzeench, Emperor’s Children are Slaanesh, and mah bois the Death Guard are for dear old Papa Nurgle
Angron prolly would have still gotten captured
Word Bearers purged the legion long before Istvaan, EC, DG, IW and SoH killed all theirs there
I would fucking kill to see loyalist Angron and Khorne
Nah he would’ve fought the slavers off
So quite literally a crafted world
Yep
He killed the Eldar assassins
Lorgar didn't even need to purge, since they were all fanatically loyal.
There’s no way Slavers would’ve one upped him
Loyalist Khorne?

How tf would that work
Yes
he would have been able to fight off the first wave of slavers
Night lords were kinda psychopaths anyway so being given a blank cheque to murder anything and everything was like candy to them
Crazy for the good guys
but what about the second or third group that most likely got sent
TS are obvious lol
Alpha Legion is not a legion or a chapter now
They are divided on hundred of groups from different sizes
Each group doing its own thing with its own views
I just like Papa Nurgle the most cause he’s oddly the most wholesome chaos god
Trust me Angron would’ve been fine
man’s just proud of his children and grandchildren
So are the Iron Warriors (kinda).
True
There’s a lot of theories about loyalist Angron
A lot of dumb theories
Alpha legion is like prolly the most shattered traitor legion
Nurgle seems like the only chaos god you could hold a somewhat fragment of a conversation with
I think the World Eaters have the most tragic backstory
but they're traitors through and through nowadays
Coincidentally made by a lot of people called "Kharn"
Emperor's Children and World Eaters are also pretty shattered.
Yeah
Also I love playing tanks and Death Guards are like the ultimate tanks
Emperor's children are an absolute clusterfuck of a legion rn
Sorry I meant Kharn my phone autocorrected lol
with no orginization lol
Most of Traitor Legions are shattered
And Mortarion is just so damn cool
You need to read Lords of Silence
Alpha Legion is the only legion to stay out of eye of terror too
The only really coherent legions are Iron Warriors and Word Bearers.
I mean look at him
Nah not to the extent of the Alpha Legion
Death guard are pretty coherent
And the Night Lords.
Ironically doesn’t Papa Nurgle hate Mortarion?
The biggest tragedy of the World Eaters is Angron not dying
Unironically this lol
“I can’t kill this poison fuck waAah”
What is there in general?
And the librarians?
They avoid it too ? Why ?
chaos corruption mostly
Really good Death Guard book, really well written too and one of the few novels they actually have.
Angron dying would still in my opinion cause the World Eaters to go Traitor
Hardly, weren't they fairly well adjusted pre Angron?
If I was able to add ONE thing in Darktide, Death Guard raid boss
Need get one
but there's warbands who hate chaos corruption
I think the only way to stop the World Eaters from going traitor is the removal of the Nails
despite being chaos corrupted themselves
Like their not-so-insane loyalists seem nice-to-good
The nails were because they wanted to be like Angron
They
Kinda like Alpha then
Didn't have the nails until angron lol
it varries™️
Warp talons are the perfect units for the Night Lords.
but some love that warp juice
They did it out of solidarity didn’t they?
They wanted their papa to love them
^
Should’ve just joined Nurgle
I meant like the Nails never existing
Papa Nurgle loves all
To offer a weird comparison, it's like having an estranged father who you've never met, and he's missing an arm
So you chop your arm off as well
But Slaanesh

Ew
Why would I want excess feelings
When I could be with warm welcoming Papa Nurgle
Slaneesh is Khorne but on Steroid change my mind
Tzeench is just a troll
Nurgle is absolutely better than Slaanesh
Well actually not on roids cause they suck
😦
Slaanesh is on all kinds of substances.
Slaneesh sucks
Man’s does whatever he wants cause change
; v;
I don't care about the overhyped "happiness" or "love" a lot of people associate with nurgle, I just want to be able to vomit 12 feet horizontally
Changeling ❤️
In both meanings.
Idk I like EC
Isn’t their Primarch Fulgrim?
A shame their only character is Lucius
Yes
Before Laer they were some of the best.
Mr Perfect Personality
Fulgrim is actually the worst Primarch
