I feel like all I ever get is people seeing a tiktok or at best reading the excerpt of it firing its weird chrono gun.
or are in the imperium nihilus, which is effectively the same thing
Lol
The chrono gun is cool but the scene of the ships AI talking to itself is cooler
Yeah theres a lot of build up to what the ship is and what it can do.
i've read the first novel in the trilogy (?) the speranza is in, i think i'm like a third or fourth of the way through the second
Only thing I really dislike from forges if mars is uh
idr, i got distracted and forgot about it
The weird ass black Templars scene lol
adhd hits like that
The sword fight one
💀
Why
Was it even written
It doesn’t make the black Templars seem cool either
The duel with the tech priest
yeah he was a tech priest
but the kind that heads the skitarii
i forget the word for them
Dominus?
oh
the novel is from before the skitarii were fleshed out i believe
so he may have had a different title
Dominus are the Tech Priest who lead Skitarii cohorts.
it would be dominus now, but i think his title was different in the novel
he may have been a secutor
He’s just called a magos
is he never given a specific title?
Dominus are not the tech priest who lead skitarii war cohorts
They’re magos’s well versed in the science of war
They can lead anything ranging from a horde of servitors to a bunch of tech priests
He’s just called a magos/master of the skitarii
Sort of boring
ah well
we can infer his title at least to be either dominus or secutor
Yeah
i'm leaning secutor just based on the artwork
But all Skitarii Cohorts are led by Dominus iirc
btw, idc what people say, imperiums flat out right in their anti alien rhetoric ngl
99.9% of the time yeah
After they killed all the harmless aliens
what happened when humanity was at its lowest point?
looks at countless human worlds enslaved by xeno's
During the great crusade

That doesn’t mean you should exterminate every single xenos in existance
actuallyyyyy left quite a number alone mostly, subjugation sure, but not flat out execution
That’s like saying I got bit by a alligator
They nicely butchered those and the not enslaved ones, then enslaved the world's themselves
I should kill every single lizard
False
the emperor himself wasn't a genocidal xenophobe and the imperium did better under him
We have so many goddamn excerpts
During the crusade
Of peaceful xenos being wiped out lol
It’s hilarious
The good ol “we just wanted to be left alone”
Are the ones mentioned in the Great Work
Imperium isn't even right on their human policies
They don’t count since they had a use for the imperium
Rejuvinat
Which instead of being bombed to death, were just harvested to extinction for their blood
It was illegal to do so
But I’m 99% sure the imperium didn’t genocide them
So they could use them as live stock lol
the imperium is meant to be an idea of the worst possible outcome for humanity
Yep
Humans living with xenos also == instant genocide
everything the imperium takes a stance on, they take the wrong stance
The iron hands slaughtered a human civilization that was living with xenos
In harmony
yep
Interex were also gona get wiped out originally

But Horus was having daddy issues at the time
And then they got wiped out anyways after Erebus stole the funny knife
A revolutionary idea to negotiate before killing everyone fr
The imperium dug it’s own grave
Regarding the xenos lol
They killed all the xenos they could potentially have made friends with long term
Interex would have been such a kick ass faction tbh
And made the rest incredibly wary of them at best due to their history
There’s a reason the craftworld eldar and the imperium don’t get along
well considering most xeno's that came to power themselves did yeh know, the same things
premature ending xeno's is
pretty valid
That still doesn’t excuse wiping out every single species
Are you stupid
keep in mind the reason the remaining xenos treat humans as scum is because the imperium defaults to genocide
rather safe than sorry
This is like saying the crusaders killed a bunch of people
cant trust a "maybe"
We should kill all Christian’s
Nazi rhetoric much
The thing with eldar is even if you are a lot lower than them if you show respect and actually willingly help them they aren't so bad, helping the imperium on the other hand
A whole different kind of worms
My brother in Christ you did not just quote facist rhetoric

i didnt
you psycho
well that's a justification that was used to enact real world genocides, so i think maybe you should get off the internet for a little while and rethink some things
you fuckin psychopaths
On irl facist nations right
And the bad guys
I mean yeah they’re explicitly evil
That’s why I like them
Never would I want to be a part of it or be involved with it
But the imperium is so delightfully awful
just stop, friend
If I was in the 40k setting I would not be on the side of the Imperium. They are a vile structure that cause much more woes than right
If I was in 40k I’d just kill myself to get it over with
Just because you're a human doesn't mean that you have to be a monster to
I would rather throw myself of a f****** hive city than even live a single day in the imperium
Honestly if I was in Fantasy I'd be somewhat alright. But in 40k I'm going Chaos from the get go. Or find a way to destroy my own aoul
living in the tau empire might be alright
at least you probably get healthcare
It would be but it’s still a totalitarian expansionist empire
If you can't escape just become an ork
yes
digganobz
Despite not being called an imperium
Digganobz time yeah!
the tau empire is an empire that practices empire, which makes them bad people
i am not disputing this
i'm just saying it's less bleak than the imperium of man
To be fair if you are crazy enough that orks respect you i guess that's a good way to live
They do have some Ogryn that live with them cause they are good Dakka and all that
You go from “the most brutal and bloody regime to ever exist” to if the NATO nations and North Korea had a baby
tau do nothing different than the imperium, literally the same shit instead they try all diplomacy first, if you STILL refuse, well, THEN you get war time
It’s def a step up
but trying diplomacy first isn't the same thing the imperium does?
Still a better option
Well they do it with humans
A better option is a better option i don't get your logic
ironically not
The tau always try diplomacy first unless it’s against the dark eldar, nids or Orks
least imperium you CAN grow greater than yourself through great difficulty
not so much in tau society
you are what they tell you you are
Living standards in the Tau factions is also much higher than in the Imperium
when tau encounter an alien species they don't send fanatics with flamers, they send the diplomacy corps
You want to know something funny?
They did try diplomacy with the Orks
the what, water caste?
Did not work
Didn’t the orks beat them to death with their own guns lol
In reality you'll probably die at 15 in a factory your genelime has been working out for 9000 years
And
The Tau caste system is only for Tau
Yeah, they immediately slaughtered them
didnt they try to diplomacy the TYRANIDS multiple times?
Once
Like
The caste system is very restrictive but only applies to tau
the imperium is extremely stratified, opportunities for upward social movement are so limited that they are less than one in a million
imagine what selective breeding does
But upward mobility is still pretty bad
Yeah you can be a pretty well off human if you're good enough
You know who else does selective breeding
Lucky. Like extremely lucky
Where most of the population is working to death in a manufacotrum
Multiple marine chapters?
i mean if you go by population numbers yeah the stats are gonna be skewed in tau's favor
Yeah, and usually in a much more brutal way
I’m saying by pure percentages
if you're not born into wealth in the imperium you're probably never going to see it
More of the imperium is more likely to be working a dead end job
You’ll work the manufactorum till they day out die
And if you’re unlucky the tech priest might drag you off the line to run some experiments on
my favorite mentality, if you never experienced cake, would you truly miss it? or would you miss the possibility of it?

yeah i'm pretty sure the only way you will be rewarded is if you get extremely lucky, and say you were able to find an STC in the junkyard or did something so heroic that someone of your class doing that means instant promotion
Based on the perspective of slaves menials they tend to not like their life lol
They can find small happiness
Yeah 20 hour work days aren't great
But they’re aware it’s not great
bring someone with something low, and they'll experience far greater loss than someone who's never experienced at all
That’s only on holidays
That’s, not true
the reason the imperium has constant rebellions is because people don't want to suffer and be slaves in all but name forever
thats factually true
There’s a reason poor people hate their life historically
Yeah shame the faction they go to most of the time isn't much better
Chaos is worse then the imperium
ironically superceding themselves over to another group to be slaves too in some manner
But that’s because chaos is super hell
plenty of worlds try for independence without going to chaos
What does Bobby say to Dante
"why would a dredge refuse hell when he already dwells in it"
Paraphrasing but roughly that
Growth in the term of tentacles on your face
Shame it comes with a side of horrific mutations lol
big chance for eternal damnation of your soul too though
Your soul may or may not be damned regardless s
i'd rather have lobster claws than work in a manufactorium
Tbh your soul is prolly gona get shredded unless you’re a Psyker
Or particularly tasty to a daemon/god
Yeah personal growth being a forever undying slave to a power that you will never surpass, immortality for just doing everything over and over again for a higher power that will basically throw you away if it doesn't find you useful
Just like the imperium!
i mean at least as long as youre clean nosed the imperium lets you die
Then comes your soul dissolving in the warp
i'm throwing my lot in with the god of hope thank you very much
Which is nice
ah yes, tzeentch, objectively the worse chaos god to follow
cause he just fucks with his followers for kicks

All the gods do that tbf
not as bad as tzeentch
yeah i believe in change, like when Tzeentch changed me into a chaos spawn for funzies
rather risk being fucked by tzeentch than be industrially fucked by the imperium
Tbh at least when you become a spawn your soul dies
~~can’t say the same about being turned into a living screaming crystal ~~
chaos gods turn you into an immortal cosmetic item for kicks
imperial propaganda, don't buy into it
also didnt some lore recently come out about the golden throne and how its actually reverse, big e is keeping it running, not the other way around/
it wasnt intended to be what it is now but emps had no choice but to have it modified
i mean we know the throne is actively failing bit by bit
a deal with dark eldar was struck to take a look at its malfunction which supposedly bought the imperium a few centuries before its collapse
few centuries is 0 time in terms of 40k time span
beats having the thing fail in the middle of a great rift opening
also the monkey paw with the emperor is, dudes a perpetual, and 100% either will come back or ascend, but thats at the cost of another age of strife esque event that'll nearly eliminate all of humanity worse than the last most likely
we dont really know if he is a perpetual like Vulcan which is why the inquisiton and several other factions are so torn about this
Guiliman met him and was having doubts what has become of him after all this time
i mean you sit there suffering torment dealing with the entirety of the galaxy and the warp and hold the same demeanor after 10,000 years
dudes constantly at odds with all the chaos gods, constantly never ending holding a rift closed, and is acting as a beacon for the entire galaxy for the imperium, while also doing shit tons of miracles at a given day
That pact was just with a single haemonculi and it failed because the haemonculus had an orgasmic moment from the amount of pain the golden throne was putting out and ran to the deepest parts of the palace to make flesh-monsters before an Inquisitor named Erasmus Crowl and some Custodes killed em and the high lords/officials responsible for it.

didnt the burning light of the emperors massive psyker power basically blind the abilities of the harlequins when they invaded the palace to "deleiver a message to the emperor" or whatever
mmm no it was stated by the one she literally lost her ability to see the coming future
they just could feel the output of his power slightly and the suffering of the people all on Terra when they were traversing it
and it made her have to try harder fighting
Gets turned into a servitor
Oh jeez I did not see the rest of this chat lmao
was bad
didnt they actually manage to get proper ones later? i remember the original plan of smuggling a haemonculi which backfired spectacularly
Imperium apologism tends to lead to that yeah
Nah
like haemonculi COULD fix the throne the issue is why would they

yeah Haemonculi are also like Crypteks, they can basically fix/make anything.
more or less walking mcguffin characters
found it, it was in the dark city novel
nah i just think out of everyone
imperiums in the right

gw aint my daddy
Its easy to say this when you aren't in an imperial concentration camp so go off.
Or facing a firing squad.
Or servitorized.
Or lobotimized
etc

the dark eldar used their end of the bargain to start developing their own version of golden throne which is kinda bonkers
sometimes black library amuses me to no end
Yeah but thats gonna go nowhere
since THE most random part of that book
which is hilarious because everyone dies by the end of it
so you get a good feeling of "Why did I even read this lol"
i feel that way about a lot of things tbh which makes me instantly go and reread ciphias cain

Im sure you can remember that when its "humanity" making your life miserable in 40k
yeah like it sucks because rest of the Watchers of the Throne was good
the last book legit made me feel like it wasted my time
im still trying to get my hands on the Eisenhorn series
Pretty worth it even if its OLD
its this strange thing with BL authors, some are incredibly good
and others you read and then want to turn the clock back so you didnt
Its not strange, its just the usual thing of too many cooks in the kitchen being paid to put this many novels out.
40k has a lot of garbage sci-fi books
[pain]
Ahem
was it Goto that wrote like 10 pages of eldar torture
yeah and the novel just being dogshit
and really lore inaccurate
hes one of the few rare examples of a BL author who just straight up got fired lol

also relevant video
There’s also that guy who checks notes
“Plagiarized huge parts of an Iraq veterans war memoirs for one of his first books for Black Library.”

YEP
Was resisting mentioning that guy
sounds like cope
That’s a fun one
Sure thing pal, now shush
also yeah that guy was legit awful
like why the fuck
i want a novel entirely written from Ogryns pov

Idk why you keep commenting when it seems you haven’t even read most of these books
you cant impose authority in a disagremeent over the canon of lore, thats just outside your role
just immature too
I mean if you read the damn books
I mean I'm not, im just saying almost half the events in the book are wrong and not canon anymore.
Then you’d know she’s right
you are the same guy that says 40k doesn't have political commentary apparently
well you're coming off as such
the rules of this server directly state no discussing irl politics so
Lilith mostly just fights people and twerks In Commorragh these days
Sometimes at the same time
Theres a difference between that and stuff like what 40k does
like how its literally roman nazi germany
i mean im being called a facist so

ıf you defend the Imperium's actions yeah
because people that do that dont look that good
Im not calling you one but its what other people tend to do lol
40k is a franchise founded on parodying fascist Thatcherite Britain/Europe, political commentary and satire is what its been always about, people that can't accept this don't know what the Imperium's message as a faction is really about and I say this as the Black Templar fan

i mean people have diluted the meaning of that word anyways to the point its meaning is mute
Yeah like we literally had people here saying genocide is good. Or that they have "roman ancestry."
That was fun

kill me 💀
sometimes some imperium fans need to be hit in the head so hard that you straight up decapitate that shit
i can seperate fiction from reality
as an Imperium fan I approve of this message
[pain]
those imposing the concept that my enjoyment of the imperium mimics my real thoughts of how things should be
are a bit
concerning
Nobody is saying that dingus lol
I mean considering the stuff you said i dont blame em lol
Maybe we should just change the subject
i want my plaguebearers >:C
I mean, I know next to nothing about 40k lore, but from what limited stuff I know the Imperium is also partially built on bureaucracy that loses most of its more important records (such as accurate astartes chapter amounts) due to being ridiculously complex.
aren't you a slaaneshi cultist
Curious if they are actually gonna do GSC
Irony is painful
im a step above i am Slaanesh, true and real, i have a certificate
That would probably be me at this point
Enough.
The Imperium is complicated to say the least with how it’s setup
It’s downright feudal at times
Imperium is too diverse to blanket statement it
And yeah the Imperium is a parody of every form of bad/fascist forms of government.
But fascism is still at its core identity.
You also mostly see the dramatic negatives more than the average
brother i am doing my best to not call you slanneshi you are digging yourself the grave here my guy
id say you would have a somewhat better life on ultramar
You have mass conscription, propaganda, concentration camps, genetic purity, etc
Its very on the nose for a reason
but overall i do not wish to live in the imperium, anywhere, or 40k in general
I mean, there are some people who say that the Imperium is basically the 40k equivalent of Skaven from non-AOS Warhammer Fantasy...

That makes you smarter than most
Yeah it’s a common thing
Idk if it’s really accurate
its really not
It’s more complex than that
its mostly as a meme
There’s some jokey jokey things you can draw comparisons too
But it’s a lot of factions within factions within factions
Yeah Skaven's form of government is also not... uh too complex i guess
And how they interaction varies a lot
Be the big rat. Make all of the rules 🐀
Like the whole discussion of how much “power” an Inquisitor has
Technically, they have almost complete authority
In actuality, that can uh
Not be true
Very easily
Yeah its down to IF you can show that said power off.
Depending on a shitton of things
Who they are, who they know, who they can call on
Who they’re talking to
remember that Imperium is also hidden behind 7 thousand miles of red tape too
Authority depends on what it is in regards too basically
It’s why so many broad questions get the boring answer of “it depends”
Yep
Its kinda entirely down to what kind of resources you have.
What is the topic of your conversation?
I mean, there are a few things that are the same, like meat grinder tactics for infantry engagements, having only one god that everything is built around, and probably a few other things that idk about.
I am not saying that they are the same, I am just saying that based on my limited lore knowledge the Imperium and Skaven have at least some similarities...
Inquisitors kidnapping entire company's of inquisitorial stormtroopers after"borrowing them"

Yeah but thats basically almost every Evil Government, skaven do it really well tho so
GoT has the one scene with Varys I think with the riddle of a Rich Merchant, Priest, and Lord all tell a soldier to kill the other two. And how what happens next depends on where the soldier believes power lies.
like we have Grendyl who hasnt showen up in any shape so far, we dont even know if he/she is on mourningstar at all
while others would proudly walk around in full power armor kit
the imperium after they find out a planet where the genetic information of people is only 99% similar to humans
Damn, I gotta listen to this banger again 😩
fair point, I guess I should probably leave you guys to chat amongst eachother since you guys literally know more than me...
Grendyl is a good example yeah, hes literally not even in the same sector as us but has his Interragator (or one of many) operating on his behalf to save an entire world and largely the rest of the secotr.
I get the joke but they have ogryn and squats and felenids
Abhumans are accepted due to being useful
otherwise they'd also get liquadated
Unironcially in the new Cadia book about the Fall, Greyfax all but sings Hellfire as she’s mooning over Celestine
YEAH
Well yeah
Robert Rath had to fucking know
Like jfc
Greyfax I get you’re a bit pent up
the language used is very sus
But goddamn
Greyfax needs a little tlc with Celestine
Rath fucking knew

You’re in the middle of the battle for Cadia how can you be this horny
They're just prayer mates fr fr
Stuff with a Greater Daemon Angel of the Emperor
Celefax is the only thing in the setting that makes sense because their audio drama with each other has them being nothing but playful for eachother for like an hour 💀
apparently my earlier message had a forbidden word
yeah i'm pretty sure back then it was just you know some joke but the book makes it look like GW decided to hijack a rhino and drive that thing directly into a fortress monastery
From someone named slaaneshi? I can't see why

If it helps put people at ease I'm also included in the bot's firing range
How fast topics change
Whiplash
As long as we don’t actually get a scene with them ever idc. But I do not need a BL author to actually write me Celestine and Greyfax fanfic
HUH?
I do that on my own time
the bot got that flash git aim
Remember what we lost
like tides of chaos we are ever changing
The term is whiplash
Loophole bitches
Ok
Things are changing so fast you're looking from side to side at each discussion
It gives you whiplash
im still curious what exactly did Grendyl send out of the system
a request for reinforcements? action report?
We don’t know but
Considering the time period
It’s likely there’s just no one to help
Everyone is stretched super thin
Yeah Hadron says help is not coming
I have a question
with the Great Rift yawning across the known galaxy its understandable
Of utter importance
There’s a line in a book with Guilliman how everyday he has to pick which worlds fall and don’t
yeah, good thing the damage done to the planet is still reversible
But Grendyl seems to see something in Atoma so for now it’s got us
i really liked the cinematic showing how imperial propaganda shows things vs how it actually is
I am curious as to the why with Grendyl
Atoma from what i gathered is like a bastion on the fringes
if it falls, whatever forces the "Darktide" is will have a path deeper and i think the imperium does NOT want that
“There’s a hidden artifact here” thing
I’d prefer Grendyl just prioritize it because it’s value or something
Speaking of g-man. My favorite tidbit was his difficulty picking parchment off the floor with his gauntlets and basically inability to bend at the waste
Waist
Words hadd
Hard
Fuck
Those scenes are funny
Love em
Big G waking up and immediately going "What the fuck did you do to our fucking dream" had me feeling
Humanizing elements of bigger than life people
Is my favorite humor
Albeit also the knowledge of ultra depression
i think preventing it from becoming a Daemon world alone is a pretty good reason
Similar scene in the Calgar comic
It's like waking up only to see your house on fire and not just your house but everything around outside your house is also on fire
true
Also his quarters and rooms he stays in have three types of furniture
Lion came back to immediately throwing hands
i remember when..i think it was perturabo? solution to angron was to just fill him with gunfire
Lion finding out his brother gman is alive was a bit of a tearful moment

Lion barely wins
The best kind of solution
He doesn’t really do that to beat him tbf
It’s just the opener
He takes him down in melee still
Ima say it
He just cuts him off from his men and source of power
I prefer perty
I don’t dislike him I just
Have some issues with some of his fans online
Lots of wanks that happen about his deeds
HH Fans Moment
Yeah I’m not saying you it just gets really uh
Did carry the fuckin hell at out the siege then rage quit when the raid leader started telling him to give dps to the other members of the party
Tiresome with Perty Stans
im a vulcan enjoyer, especially the time when konrad forgot that his hammer can function as a hammer

I like Ferrus which is nice since no one has ever read the like four passages on him
Hilarious and original
Concerning
Concerning

It was less that and more uh
imagine joining a match in TF2 as the engineer
and literally all your team is doing is taunt spamming at spawn and fucking around and the enemy almost has the payload at the blow point

Yeahhhh
And then your team leader turns on his cheat engine he had
Perty was literally the only one still souly focused on the whole war
Dorn isn't losing as fast as he'd like and he also isn't being reaffirmed in his special status, so obviously he thinks they all hate him and fuck off
He wanted to beat Dorn by beating him in siege warfare
He left when he realized he wasn’t winning
Chaos was
It wouldn’t be his victory that he wanted
i dont know much about Ferrus but his story is tragic, man also drowned a dragon iirc
Fulgrim is a b i t c h
I mean he was winning by all means, like, literally, but then horus was like "okay pert now give control over to the others and let em do their thing" it's like telling the dude who's entire life is about the task at hand then going "let your shit cousins do it FAR WORSE"
Fulgrim/Ferrus arc is basically Guts/Griffith but less well written
I'd be mad as shit too
He intentionally tells different stories of how his arms came about
And never confirms any
I mean Pert also was struggling
For good reason
Where daemonic forces just run through with next to no issue lol
Sanguinius says otherwise
But it worked cause Chaos
Held that shit SOLO BOYYYY
Or in Saturnine
He hated that they were using dumb irrational tactics
Most of the SoH task force gets wiped
And it was working cause Chaos
But Fulgrim just bashes through

It’s basically the issue of Chaos
So basically what Dilara said
Fulgrim is kicking Dorn’s ass
Basically, but it’s also he wasn’t gonna win how he wanted
Chaos was gonna be the victors not him
He wouldn’t have earned it
And he knew that
Dorn would never know he was better
It's just a repeat of him vs that sculptor guy on Olympia lol
Hey I heard tts triggers lore purists, this true?
Yes

It’s funny sometimes but
I wouldn't even say Lore purists, just people who've hung around for a while
It’s very uh
You get to see it repeated 5 million times
Inaccurate, overdone jokes
And it's just 1d4chan jokes
People take it as real lore a lot or a good source of info
I take it as a good source of generalized information put into a hyperbolic summary
Not something to take exact but it feeds enough to give the general gist
That took forever to load
Thanks mobile
Out of context video
Magnus is a dumb dumb
poor magnus
He's not poor, he knows what he did
Magnus is almost as stupid as erda
the one thing everyone can agree with is that Emperor is an awful father
tbh I wouldn't say awful, he was just taken out of the preparation he had preferred and was rushed in a lot of senses
Dude had a literal whole villa set up for him and his sons
That's mostly to make them "feel" at home.
A lot of the books confirm he just did not care for his sons at least the non-successful/ass-kissy ones
Again, intent vs what he got. He had goals in mind and objectives to achieve and its within reason not to allow emotion to cloud the judgement and path to said goal
like thunder warriors they werent really sons, more like means to an end like thunder warriors were
why did i type it twice
brain function depleted
I mean in general he has his purpose set whole on humanity's future
im like that poor servitor, pieces of my mind are floating away
One could almost say humanity as the species, is his favored child
Beyond all else
Sure there are massive moments of hypocrisy and otherwise outright bullshit he does for seemingly no other alternative purpose
His relationship with his sons is complicated to say the least
Extremely
Malcador and Valdor comment about how he started off being uncaring
But overtime started calling them by names and not it
I feel he wanted to love them properly, but considering the dudes well over 50k years old
Yeah
Started getting more attached
Out of touch isn't the start of it
The biggest reasoning for his treatment is
Facts don't give a shit about feelings. And feelings cloud judgement
As we saw with horus
By all means he's seen what emotions do to people over his entire lifespan, and he has probably had his countless moments of mistakes from his earliest moments and had probably developed such a cold state purely to make goals happen
But he began to feel for horus as his son, and we saw what happened there. I wouldn't doubt he has doubled down even more permanently now due to that
Which describes why his interaction with g man went so horrifically for g man
I mean the emperor's personality is a bit inconsistent and he's been portrayed a few different ways over 40ks longer history
But the general "emotional timeline" GW seems to roll with now is that he was emotionally normal, if a bit conceited, for most of history, then during the unification wars he became very cold and machievellian, and then towards the end of the great crusade he was starting to warm up again
Imagine you're going to therapy and things are just starting to be normal in life again, and then your son makes a pact with Satan, conquers half the galaxy, and stabs you. Life's tough man
Yeah people forget this a lot.
Hes basically a badly written character with pre-set goals and has moments where he has ot act like a moron for the sake of the plot.
The issue is BL writers try to "patch" these mistakes as him entirely being aware of them and knowingly doing them or being shown as fallible when that's not the case at all.
"Oh he just doesnt get normal humans"
"Oh he doesn't understand emotions"
"Oh hes just looking at the bigger picture"
Not even that, he was a bit of set dressing until the mid 2000s. He was just there in the background and anything that was said about him was to make the setting feel the right way.
Literally yes lmao
Until recently he was more like a curtain instead of a person
what is up with this firing stance in 40k
Yeah it dynamic
remember, the cooler you look the more powerful you are
Well we gotta wait before that
never ask a Catachan jungle fighter what happened to their commissar
have they confirmed anything?
No, but they didn't close the door on it like in Vt2
My condolences
Seconded
Thirded

Imma be honest an ork centric show does not sound very good
Next big show GW put out is probably gonna be astartes 2
For a preacher, the one in Pariah Nexus seems pretty chill. Doesn’t seem to be the kind that screeches in your ear about dying for the god-emperor or calling out blasphemy on somebody who just sneezed.
I mean he does do it, he's just kinda terrified
Think the last time I ever knew an ecclesiarchal priest that wasn’t raving mad was Asavan Tortellius from the Helsreach book.
it should be a very violent but immature cartoon
40k is at its most boring when it's pretending to be high fantasy
Eldar : Boring, got it
as the focus of a whole show yeah
Eldar aren't boring
people just got an extremely short attention span

honestly then again can be said about any faction
What chapter is Pertuabo the primarch of?
the order of the golden dawn
oh wrong perturabo
LMAO
Ok that’s why I thought he was primarch of the Iron Hands
yeah GW naming is stupid af ignore it
I need to remember Ferris Manus is literally Latin for Iron Hands

Is the Imperial Fists armor yellow or gold?
yellow
theres morse code?
Morose code

I feel like it's just glitchy fx
I'll see if I can jumble something with my limited knowledge later
.. --. .. --
I think thats what I heard but in morse code translator that's "IGIM" doesn't make much sense
unless each letters is a abbreviation of something
iirc someone a whiiile back did find some supposedly hidden voice in the static
but i need to search for it
though that name is deprecated so maybe not
found it, i thought i was insane for a moment
I have started to decrypt the Warhammer 40k Darktide Teaser trailer.
there is sounds in the static that you can barley hear. its a code or an easter egg given by fatshark
heres the partly decoded sounds: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UXrMX7Bz9HrvkUohYpiqTeoaMEKXYT64/view?usp=sharing
now it might be nothing
Yeah i dont think this is anything
when companies put morse code they tend to keep it a bit more isolated and obvious
most likely filler really
yeee
I think it's modem sounds and the sort
imperial dial up
binaric cant
To be fair imperial vox is complete trash
It can barely even pierce the pollution on some planets
vox beads are trash
a backpack vox unit can talk to ships in orbit and disrupt enemy communications at the same time with a skilled operator
wyrmwood probably has some kind of small concealed vox unit
vox beads iirc have a range of about a kilometer, but can use a backpack vox as a relay
Fair
I really wish we had suppressed weapons
Lasguns are loud, auto guns are loud, and being loud attracts the hornets nest
The way we fight by itself is loud. We're with Ogryns, Zealots...
There is no nest to attract, we're in the nest
If we're in the nest, then all the more reason for stealth
Stealth is the antithesis of Tide games
Fair
i dont think i ve ever seen a silencer in 40k
Wait....now that you mentioned it, are there even silencers in 40k?
One would assume the officio assasinorum would have them
Maybe the Astartes
Neddler ? They are pretty silent iirc
The vindicare assassins have one
Excidius or something close. Not sure if they are silent.
Flechette guns for the Admech are somewhat silent
In dawn of war, the exitus rifles are just loud. But snipers are rarely heard and never seen
Out of most primarchs most likely to come back after the lion
Who yall got money on
Rogal died in the moat cliche "not actually dead" method ever. Corvis corax is being a literal paralysis demon to logar, both lemun russ and khan went "ima go mess around"
I mean considering how he died
His resurrection isn't beyond the realm of possibility
Rogal went from Dead to MIA. So he is alive, abliet without his Dextre
Who confirmed mia?
I mean he never was confirmed dead either
He was confirmed dead in the past
The fists had his body
But they retconned them having his body
They just have his hand now
Good change
but it'd be the dumbest return
i mean out of any of the picks for a loyalist
dumbest is ferrus
next dumb is rogal
Why would Rogal be dumb ?
least set up
nothing going on for his sons that he needs to come back for, he wouldn't add as much to the current setting as a primarch like khan
plus i think it'd be neat in general to have a primarch who could've come back actually be dead
Any answer other than Russ is copium
same reason i think both alpharius and omegon are dead
whole situation is just their sons being schizos
1 is dead the other is pretty much alive
i still think it'd be funny with them both dead
makes 0 sense but make it a black rage situation
the death of the primarchs starts to fuck with the legions sense of self
"i am alpharius for i know no other name"
Just finished Episode 3
I really shouldn't have laughed when it cut to black but I dıd 💀
leman probs
after fulgrim its either leman or sang
Or is it alpharius
It’s omegon
Bad meme is bad meme
Didn't alpharius/omegon have the ability to transfer their conciousness between their sons through some psycher ritual bs
No
i dont remember where but they said
warning, very stupid and lore breaking official statement
||every primarch is planned to return to 40k.||
Or was that explicitly brain washing to the max
But if their sons drank their blood
it was like an interview or osmething
They’d start thinking they were Alpharius
Like
Brainwashed fully
Till it wore off a few days later
Dilara I require your opinion
Whats up
Are primaris taller and stronger then ogryn?
Im sure it’s really damn close either way
Ogryns and Marines are on equal ground when it comes to strenght
as per height uhhh
Primaris are A BIT taller and thats kind of it.
Another more bizarre method of disguising himself further saw Alpharius use his Librarians to apparently switch bodies with members of his Legion, as was the case with Kel Silonius
@arctic talon says here he could
Ah
Got the book? Go open it up
Prove it wrong
The average ogryn is stronger then the average marine
Even with primaris augments
I remember hearing a story of an ogryn dragging a whole tank to their commissar so that’s why I wondered if ogryns were stronger
I said them not you dingus
Ogryn are absurdly strong
Chimera wasn't it
Something big
Not good with names
Oh was that a positive connotation?
Am I crazy or does this have mild Miguel vibes
Yeah
Thank christ
ALMOST, Miguel puts some illusion of detail to the center places and the spots people focus on the most but this is still good
The wiki is just hell, all I see there is so much info with 0 source to em
Me: tf this from?
Yeee I'm not too far in yet
Pretty proud ngl
Thank you Jean for the gesture book
The Votaan page on fandom is like
Odd question: is it possible for Ogryns or other abhumans to become Space Marines if given the chance?
My favorite thing with the wiki is uh
"Hey guys where can I read the Imperial Armor books?"
Most people: You gotta buy em or use WH+
Me: Literally go read the wiki, its all copy pasted

But yeah
Ogryn are pretty much there already, other abhoomins probably wouldn't respond well to the dozen or so extra organs
So we KNOE alpharius was capable of transferring himself between bodies soooo
is he truly dead

I think they never tried it due to Xenophobia
But imagine an Ogryn space marine
Basically wearing Termie armor by default
The way gw writes them its literally impossible to know
They write them overly complex and "mysterious" "or is it?" Bs
It's hard to trust a single thing surrounding the two
Fuck it, that should be Ogres in space
Aside from an actual ogre faction
Give it to me GW
Don't tau have some big ass uh, pacifist species as big as at least a knight
Im not sure, but considering they're basically the Covenant but 40k'd, I wouldnt be surprised
They do its just I can't remember their names
Solar auxilia marines ogryns
Forgot what they were called
I dont care how redundant that is
Charonites

pariah nexus was good
