Yep
Also the other thing about tau is they aren’t bad at cqb
they have pistols
Like sure they suck at melee but they have close quarters options
Hey now if the God Emperor wanted you to have a laspistol, he’d have issued you one
I mean it's not gonna help me against a green skin with enough muscle to tear me limb from limb, but hey an option is an option
Real
The Tau also are relatively more intelligent with their battle doctrine and tactical decisions lol
Not like the Guard are comprised of bumbling idiots, but man it’s grating sometimes
Even in the Ghaunt’s ghosts attritional warfare is seen and can be a real head scratcher
People say the Tau are space commies but then forget the Valhallan’s exist
So space India
Sorta
Aesthetically they’re mostly East Asian
Combat doctrine wise they’re very much NATO
I.E drones, aerial superiority
mother fuckers even have something similar to rice
So does the imperium
Lamellar type aesthetics were even used by the Byzantines so personally I think it’s silly.
🤓
True
sounding peaceful yet badass at the same time type deal yeah
The emperors shadows are the most aggressively Japanese group in the setting
Yes they’re canon, they showed up in a single white dwarf
They’re a GW employees army iirc
And a badass one at that
Not so subtle that one
Need more Asian space marine chapters that aren’t the amalgamation of asiatic cultures that are the scars
did you just say nuke while talking about the Japanese space marine chapter
Joke was as bright as 2 suns
If I had a nickel for every time I know GW made a employees marine chapter canon I’d have 3 nickels
Which isn’t a lot but it’s fun it’s happened that many times
Ironically there are the unsubtly named Sensei as well
However they aren’t marines and GW has forgotten they exist
Sensei are non canon all but explicitly tbh
With how they’ve changed big E
And his uh interactions
Are you talking about that tech adept who’s like distantly related to him
And I am NOT talking about perpetuals. Literally the offspring of the emperor. Afaik you see one in the Outcast dead
I forgot her name
No I am not
However the Outcast dead is like horrendously fucked
Same book where a naked world eater punches the spine out of a fully armored Custodes
Oh yeah the funny one
But you do see a couple Thunder Warriors so that’s neat
Albeit aged and barely hanging on by a thread
I wonder how closely related
WH40K Books are wild as I see
Gonna be semantic and say it’s technically 30k
ok
Don`t change anything too much for me
Because Dalia was literally just a normal person
I remember there was at least one thunder warrior that became like a gang leader or maybe km just dumb
Yes
Can’t remember his fucking name for the life of me but you are right
There’s a bounty hunter on necromunda
That’s rumored to be a marine lol
Bcs of how big he is
Casual glimpse at a C’tan
Pretty much, except because of what she says about it it’s not clear if it’s even a C’tan lol
Look the Void Dragon is like the daddy C’Tan of all C’Tan
Sir it’s name is a shard of the Dragon
We can put 2 and 2 together until GW explicitly states otherwise
On top of that it’s presence on mars is theorized to influence the AdMech’s technological prowess
Considering the Necrons are THE tech faction, I think it’s a very safe bet
Yeah
On top of that, there’s an excerpt where Necron ships sneakily landed on mars for whatever purpose
More than likely looking for the shard, if they didn’t already know where it is
Anyways I really enjoy the Necrons. I need more Necron books
The books we do have are like crack to me
The Pariah Nexus series is also like the ultimate work of art. My beloved Salamanders get the spotlight, and we see Necrons annihilate a world
Waiting for the Fall of Cadia book to be properly released to see some more Trazyn action
illuminor Szeras is good
The sound design for him is immaculate. So heavy
And he seems to be a unique breed of eccentric Necron we haven’t seen yet with his experimentation
His mini where he’s liquifying someone is great
Pokéballs being thrown around left and right
he's a Cryptek
Oof my bad
need to try out necrons (as a TTS armie)
I thought he was just sucking someone's soul out
The slurpee machine at 7/11 be like
I was wondering if the Imperium uses electromagnetic weapons, like gauss or railguns.
I know that Tau does, but it seems, that humans also had to know the technology 🤔
The mechanicus uses it in smaller forms and keeps it to themselves, it’s also used on space ships with nova cannons
Tldr it’s rare
Thank you
It seems like Mechanicus keeps all sweet technologies to themselves and doesn't share them with the Emperium
Even if they did share it they wouldn’t be able to produce it in quantities for it to be common
Galvanic weaponry and arc weaponry is relatively rare
Of course they wouldn't they don't trust those flesh bags
Like in the beast, if i remember correctly the have a protocol to teleport mars just in case things don't go well
Railguns are more of a votann thing they have it handheld and on vehicles
Galvanic weaponry also suffers from the issue of
Must be augmented to use to its full potential
Because you can’t steer the fancy servitor bullet without implants
Speaking of servitors is it just me or is the cosmetic servitor the heretic
It is
Ok I saw the resemblance like immediately
Not sure how she survived Rannick’s headshot
Robot
Servitors can’t be made out of a corpse
The name is atonement servitor too
They can be vat grown
Those aren’t corpses
Shit I forgot
Those are actual human beings
Just with no real intelligence at that stage
You’re supposed to pop them out earlier if you want them to develop normally
Uhhh
Insert anyone that has survived a gunshot to the head, although he has a fancy gun
Fancy guns in Warhammer usually do more damage
Rannick is just a good shot ig
The funniest bolter variant I wish had photos since it was clearly in the Inquisitor RPG games but the bolter cane
Fancy archeotech pistol he has
AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
I wouldn't call it archaeotech but it's a fancy gun
Well maybe
I'm only thinking of archaeotech pistols from horus heresy
Archeotech guns can be funny
Which were for marine praetors
And some other random varaties
I keep imagining a double barreled version of the archaeotech pistol that eidolons model has
Yes and it's somewhat horrifying
The imperium really does know how to make shit guns

I want that rogue trader game to have like a futuristic duck foot pistol
Would be funny
Just put any Warhammer fantasy or aos weapon into rogue trader and add some mechanicus bits so they fit
Like a hochland long rifle
That's the only one I'd want to have a 40k equivalent
I know the big arquebis exists but no
Considering that most of the words are medieval-likes with trash technology I wouldn't be surprised if there are plenty of crazy-looking weapons
The leagues of votann are just dwarf lizardmen
Honestly, I missed this part of the lore.. What happened? Since when there is The League of Votann instead of just Squat communities?
Since 2014 or something ? Like they famously got Squatted. Where their whole line became unsupported.
In setting their core worlds got munched so they became much rarer
They got revamped a year or two ago
Now the galactic core is space dwarf territory
Wow.. How did I miss it.. But the models look thick
They got better
Nah, they don't exist anymore still
There are Squats but they are rare and live on normal Hive worlds
Squats and Votann are the same thing. The terms are exchangeable
Not really
Squats are those that are not living with Votaan
Votaan are the Ai leader of the leagues
Kins are Vat Born/Clones of ancient Squats
Yeah if we want to use technical terms, then they are the kin. But the reality is they are literally the Squats lmao
Well, still remain that the League of Votaan don't have any Core world anymore
fandom
Though
Alright let’s look at lexicanum
Kin are votaan
Literally first paragraph
But we know there's non-leagues kin/squats in imperial space
From what I remember from the early teaser it mentioned something about them being thought dead?
Well in this case we were talking the species as a whole, not examples of like yours
And in this case the Leagues are literally Squats that indeed live in the galactic core
Kin are squats, they just consider "squat" to be a slur
The kin on necromunda are ok being called squats because they live in the imperium and it's probably the least racist thing they deal with
also a good way to cover up their tracks, if everyone just assumes that they are normal squats they won't know they are from the kin
if the imperium finds out about the empire of the kin, the wars they will declare just to acquire those technologies
The imperium does know of the Leagues
They do not know the extent of their technology and what they worship
That's why I said empire if they find out they have an entire Kingdom with forbidden technology and AI, it will become a hell of a war zone
The Leagues and the Imperium are indeed at odds by and large
That much is true. Considering the Leagues are as close to DAOT humanity as 40k will get, any large scale war would almost certainly turn into a bloodbath
Don't they have females then?
If so.. Do they make no-vat kins?
Possibly, don't know much more
wasn't a headshot, looks like she took one in the upper shoulder
bet she wished it was a headshot, in the end
which like, it would be, i mean it's basically calling out a physical characteristic in a negative way
Danny thought up a cult and this is what we got
Cause they know Nurgle
he's the most horde centered in the chaos roster
Also Nurglites have convenient zombie hordes
Nurgle would spread fast, disease is easier to implement than cultists. And they’re a petty broad group
he's basically perfect for the role of horde army
And Nurgle/Chaos does leave the most space for further expansions
Khorne would get pretty repetitive in a horde style game.
Just “Oops! All ragers”
and his faction would probably brutalize the frontline melee classes
Yup
Moebians are pretty undivided tbh
I guess the horde mechanic would have to be the most up front thing
And a horde of actual cultists wouldn’t be on theme for 40k i dont guess
Except that there are Khornate cult that are basically the same as the Scab currently
Idk. I was hoping to see genestealers and Khorne themed ragers
Well it would but why make it weird when you've got a faction built around horses of zombies?
Ye more or less
GSC, I'm fully against, other Chaos Cult could happen
I feel like we'll see moebians paired with other cults before long
Like we'll 100% see the spires at some point
Idk tbh. I think if you just bring in the blood pact it’s just a tactical shooter at that point
And that's prime ground for a slaanesh cult
They’re a bonafide army
And also dead
Khorn scab groups tearing a territory in the hive sounds a cool mission prospect
But it would be more linear like a cod mission rather than a horde game
But I think it’s the vet asking about the lost city on tertium
And they say some things are best left unanswered
All the classes ask about it
So that’s a possible route
Usually morrow answers
Not saying that we would see Blood Pact, but it does mean that you have space between Full Ragers or Normal army
"Never you mind, not good to be asking questions like that"
Or Zola.
"That information is classified, and for good reason"
I got Zola
Which mutant elite has the dangling tongue?
Oh 100%
I think it’s just a bit more on the rare side than anything we see in darktide
I made a Khornate faction concept a while ago
https://forums.fatsharkgames.com/t/khornate-faction-idea-clotters-enforcer-cult/82857
Origin: Imperial Penal system is much harsher than the rest of the Imperial life, from the Enforcers taking care of the Convicts to the convicts themselves taking care off each others Themes: This factions central theme is the Penal system, and it’s inhabitant Horde: Civilians and lower convicts, they are faster than Poxwalker and tougher tha...
Basically it's Khornate faction/cultist that come from the local Penal system, which we would have joined had the Inquisition not highjacked us
Someone did make a point earlier.
It would be more of a tactical shooter for khorne just reskinning the scabs. Horde mechanic wouldnt make much sense unless the enemies were sprinting at you
It least the elite count would be higher
And imagine the sheer number of hounds
Not really, like Nurgle and even Undivided has Traitor Guard groups where they act very much like normal Imperial Guards, and Khorne does have groups that act even more like hordes than here
O
Sons of Slaughter, Kith and plenty of unnamed ones would be appropriate here
Even Tzeentchian Cults could have an easy ways to make Poxwalker level units
it would be a doom shooter
and i'd be all here for it
Boltgun is a Doom shooter and use some Nurgle units, like the origin of units don't specifies the types of game. Except certain cases
I thought that Khorne is the most melee-oriented god
So with bio-lightning not drawing upon the warp, is it inherently "safer" than normal lightning casting?
It is still drawing upon the warp, just in a safer manner, smite is generally considered low risk
He’s just general violence and murder based
so is us not overloading from smite just a clever way to portray that?
Melee is much more violent then a gun so his followers trend to that
Most likely?
what are the pros of worshipping tzeetnch?
Knowledge, sorcery
Vast arcane knowledge and esoteric power
Are the big ones
Tzeentch followers can also either have insanely good “luck”
Or insanely awful “luck”
yeah i know
the two headed chicken
was an experimetn of tzeentch to try to see the future right?
Kairos?
You also come with an extra healthy dose of paranoia, an urge to overcomplicate everything, and a knife hand incredibly prone to backstabbing
That was tzeentch being bored
dont know its name
The two headed lord of change
Kairos was thrown into the well of eternity since Tzeentch got curious
thats so relatable
What came back out may not have been Kairos
Multiple lords of change got thrown in
And kairos is the only one that came back out
and what is the well of eternity?
well
In fantasy it’s a literal giant lake of water
In the realms of chaos
In 40K it’s some weird thingy
may consider changing to tzeentch
That’s a big hole into the deep warp

the artist
Maybe I should make her an artist...
AAAH , What`s the topic?
so youre telling everyone youre virgin as fuck
Daemonculaba
We need more Chaos Space Marines, get in the funky flesh sac.
oh no please

Even it`s to much for me
I will just continue making Plague Marines as a normal Astartes Chapter
the codex astartes is overrated
tzun tsu said better shit
Tzun Tzu suggested Daemonculaba?
no, wait,
the codex astartes suggested that?
wasnt that a chaos thing
I don't think the Codex Astartes suggested that, and I hope Guilliman ever tought about it
I AM A
FOLLOWER WHAT DO YOU MEAN?
well im a slaanesh follower, and for some reason i dont have an emoji for that
That is fine , you don`t have to , Nurgliets are the poster boys of this game
but i want to
this nurgle based enemies only
are daemonophobic
Slaanesh Based Posters would have +18 in the most child friendly form
So nope
i want to see genderly amboigous daemons
40k fans mentioning anything but the Daemonculaba challenge: impossible
what is that
They'll yap about the daemonculaba but fall apart at the mention of femboys
i love femboys
we have a lot of those in slaanesh cults
That`s why you should be destroyed
come here and fuck me yourself you coward
Throws Blight grenade
HERE HAVE ULTRASPACE AIDS
right, khorne was the k*nky one, he likes it rough
Die already Throws another Blight grenade
harder daddy
Leaves on a dropship
Fuckin hell

hmppp, man
- HELP ME , INQUSITON DISCOVERED MY POSITION AND THEY ARE HOLDING ME....
sexy
And there is this horny guy...
im not witht the imperium of man
they're killjoys
im with she who thirsts
where party never ends
Incorrect, they are using you as a lure. If the Inquisition wanted you silent, you wouldn't be speaking
But muh interex

You will never see him again
I mean they were still a better alternative than whatever the shithole the Imperium was and is now
Who?
🦀
But chaos isn't real
He was shot on dead for Heresy
- You , are thinking to much citizen
The fuck is happening in here
Idk
I don`t know
did that one guy go on a horny tangent again
nvm he did the moment I left earlier 💀
You are talking about Boga Fe?
Wasn't there one incident where multiple intelligence agencies stung each other in overlapping sting operations
3 inquisitors stinging each other in their operations
What are you talking about?
Oh...
It`s [CLASSIFIED]
Dorn at the Siege of Terra trying to keep 2 idiots and an old man from ruining all of his plans in defending the Imperial Palace.

There are no wolves on Fenris.
Only furries
Which is bizarre because the Imperium still deploys Cthonian regiments in M41, 10,000 years after Cthonia's destruction
What cthonian regiment
Cthonian 1st Armoured, Cthonian 2nd Armoured, Cthonian 26th Armoured Cavalry Squadron
Thats literally just the writers re-using the word Cthonia
it has nothing to do with Horus' world.
Same with how the Votann Cthonian Berserkers don't have anything to do with it as a random example, its just a "cool greek word" they like to re-use

Cthonian mean underground right ?
Its Cthonic* technically speaking
but yeah its basically related to the underworld/hell, so it sounds "cool" as a regiment name or for any random 40k militarum thing since they like using greek stuff a lot.
Right. Forgot that 40k love to butcher languages
Creating an Valhallian regiment
Regimental name: Separate Mechanised Regiment something else
they elaborated on some of the DA involvement in the recent campaign book
it's fuckin brutal
Its fucking hilarious
Sons of horus fighters meet DA dropships in orbit, Raven guard ships come to help, DA start killing both the RG and SoH
especially since its literally the writers realising theres zero lore on what happened to some of the traitor homeworlds post-heresy
"Lets just make the DA/Lion nuke everyone"
"Yeah why not sure"
mhm
also usual Heresy Raven Guard L
they even went after Nuceria
fucking Nuceria
a planet angron had already purged
that was legit their mentality tho
why bother with the ground fight
when i can just
boop
he was on a twitch stream speedrun
there's like a snippet of lore that says Marduk sedras blew up an entire imperial world just cause he couldn't be bothered to spend the time fighting a company of night lords hidden there
most realistic decision in warhammer
like they just went full psycho
hell it even got non Fallen members of the 1st to think lion was going crazy
big one is Holguin, leader of the deathwing
dude kept begging and begging they go back to caliban, get luther and everyone else, then book it to terra
Lion just said "nah"
he pretty much called lion a child
sensible decision
The Lion turned to Holguin.
‘Do you mean to fight me, Hol?’
Holguin shook his head, backing away, but it was not the invitation that he refuted – it was the primarch.
‘If the Emperor had only warned us. If you and Sar Luther could only have settled your differences on Sarosh like men, instead of banishing your most loyal Knight and forbidding that his name be spoken. How much of this nightmare might have been avoided if there was but one amongst us who could speak one word to another that was true?’
With that, the Deathbringer turned and walked away.
He did not look back.

it's a pretty good novella
has the death of Mortarions homeworld aswell
whole scene with the dark angel fleet master bursting out in laughter at the sight
briefly clapping
what is the lore reason for my zealot having access to a chainsword so early
found it off a corpse
or someone else did and sold it to em
honestly the best answer
whole thing is wild
ends with the DA leaving a bunch of robots on cthonia to defend the bombs they set while they get off world
Chainswords are just normal weapons
anyone can have them
Also lmao
all the while literal thousands of daemons pour out of the planet itself
I was under the impression they were a sign of rank from Dark Crusade
so the last few minutes of cthonia was literally just giant robots fighting daemons
Nope
dont look at DoW for lore
Ok thank you 🙏
can't forget the point where a DA cruiser one shots a warmaster titan
love warhammer
With little regard for the catastrophic
damage wrought to Cthonia, nearby fortifications and
the thousands of warriors both loyal and traitor alike
that fought at the titan’s feet, the orbiting dreadnought
let loose its macro-cannon and shrouded the warring
titan with smoke and flame. The shock waves from the
bombardment’s impact were felt as far away as Traitor’s
Gate and the dust thrown up took hours to clear, but
when it did it revealed only ruin.Of the Imperus Nox all that remained was a single leg, still
upright amid the dust clouds and now a fortress for the
surviving infantry that fought among the corpses of the
titans, and the brave Cockatrices were little more than
unidentifiable.
course the imperial fist owners of the Imperus Nox were pissed off about that
so in turn they launched a full salvo at the ship
did nothin
The impact scarred the sky with fire as it sundered the void shields of the dreadnought, but left no mark on its ancient armour plating. The Dark Angels flagship did not even deign to return the attack, merely waiting as the flight of thunderhawks below bore down upon the Terminal Atlas as if deeming the Imperial Fists to be no threat.
such a fun time
Violence
just straight up genocide
and in the middle of the whole thing
Marduk just stops to collect a new bit for his sword
Old enough to remember when the Emperor first
returned to Cthonia, almost two hundred years before,
Sedras looked once more upon the world with an air of
indifference. To him it was but one more obstacle his lord
had ordered him to remove, and he paused to collect a
spar from the broken fortifications of the Terminal Atlas
that would later be added to his ever-growing blade.
Wait.. so the HH imperium knew about the horrors of the warp, combating its monstrosities, and that it could twist and possess, yet samael was such a shock and horror to loken that horus had to give him "snuggles and gaslight" time?
I keep rereading the start of the hh as I keep struggling to get it to stick
No, the HH imperium actively hid the truth of the warp
So why did loken just admit to knowing, being trained on, and experiencing these first hand?

Bad Writing.
a few marines did know about it.
very few
but that was all like
really really early great crusade dudes
and i got no clue when loken got recruited
He was a og terran and over 200 from memory because that's how long the GC had been going
then yeah he coulda known about the whole thing
was a big battle
ended in the DA having to shut down their recently instated pysker groups
just with how bad it was
was the first time space marines fought daemons
So, how would a space marine react to seeing holovids of a full Auric Damnation Maelstrom run with zero deaths?
Probably think they where blessed by the emperor
Thing is most people don't survive been near any of that nurgel gas and fluids with out some kinda blessing
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Cthonian_Regiments You're wrong, I'm right, LALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU LALALALA MY SPACE DOG BARBARIANS ARE STILL ALIVE LALALALA
The Cthonian Regiments are Imperial Guard Regiments from Cthonia, homeworld of the Luna Wolves.[1]
They even got the page numbers cited in the sources
That's when you know they got the serious pants on
i was tlaking wiht my friend about what animal i can use to repersent my dynasty
and he said rat
and iw as like 'nah'
but then
holy fuck a rat is perfect
@storm jungle But yea it's kinda like how a fuck ton, and I mean a good percentile, of Cadian Guard Regiments were lost on Cadia after the planet broke. The fact that Cadia Guard Regiments had off-world out-of-system recruitment posts means Cthonia likely had other planets or a tradition of keeping the name to maintain real numbers post-planet destruction like Cadia.
this will be the base for my rogue trader lmao
Naw this is just outdated.
Generic Imperial Noble No. 5
Cthonia is confirmed to have nuked to have no survivors with the new HH update.
That's not an insult
that is a vampire thank you very much
That's just gothic for you
aw fuck
pros, high heals

god i forgot the robe has rat tails
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Imperial_Armour_Volume_One_-_Imperial_Guard_and_Imperial_Navy da good book of dakka dakka will remain canon til geedubs sends the prophet James Workshop to tell us so.
Imperial Armour Volume One - Imperial Guard and Imperial Navy is part one of The Imperial Armour serie and has 288 pages. This volume focuses on the Imperial Guard, the Imperial Navy, and Imperial Tanks.
yea i might rmeove them
yeah they are a bit too extra
and slap some small skull bits somewhere and its pretty much done
It's still pretty rad to think the Arch-Traitor homeworld has Imperial loyalists kicking ass post-10,000 years heresy
I mean not really because they aren't a part of the main lore anymore.
Ya gotta admit that's a slap to chaos
literally nobody remembers Cthonia's origin point or existence and neither does the guard regiments tho is the thing.
Oh yea! She's the rat tail lady
since almost every information about the traitor primarchs was expunged and censured.
the prince of rats is a dude
BELOVED
look at Janus Draik for some inspiration too
im 90% sure in the lroe the corpse on back is a fashion trend
its fucking EVERYWHERE in the imperium
yeee
Dude built like that Poacher guy from Spiderman comics
the artists sometimes add the skull/head of the animal it belongs to so it looks cooler
Lmao Kraven but Civilized
He got that Kraven energy
yeah hes a nice gentleman with pets
god
his yee yee ass jacket
I entirely forgot the goofy lion face
💀
The lion face jacket stays on.
didnt he eat one of his clones?
lMAO
like that one occassion where Spiderman' corpse was eaten by spiders
and then those spiders retained his memory
and formed into an actual Spider-Man
💀
turn slave corpses into protein bars?
i was about to say "well the comics not the movies-"
KEK
Honestly worse stuff has been done
Marvel Zombies Moment
it wasnt
as people said it was
The old comic series?
it was basically jumping onto the mid 2000's zombie trend
i read it and i got so fucking sick of it
40k is also guilty of this
Turn people into daemonically possessed Chaos Space Marine breeding pods?
Almost
Fucking when?
I'll never forget sandman shoving himself into Spiderman's stomach and blowing him up from the inside though

Thats the thing its fucking everywhere
"guys theres zombies on this planet, what kind of thing could cause this!"
-inquisitor book 204
Eh...
That's not really body horror
Well yeah its not
for some reason marvel's scifi stories i usually find really good
Daemonculaba is body horror
daemonculaba is a fetish
at this point id agree
Oh?
anyone that thinks the Daemonculaba is horrible hasn't read stuff like the first Deathwatch novel

tahts on my list! but i have a rule to read only 1 space marine book every 3 months
The Grey Knights Omnibus has a daemon world where there's forests of screaming flesh trees, lakes and soil that seap blood and moans, and Greater daemons who emerge from any and every surface should the need to defend itself arise.
And that's the prologue
Yeah but thats really lame too
like daemonic flesh-wall horror stuff is something where once you've seen it you've seen em all
its really not that effective when you are like a 11 year long 40k fan like me 💀
when the fuck was the last time 40k scared me uhh
I think mine was recently with that one white scar book where a void station crew gets digested by tyranids
Samus trying to be creepy: get's his ass whooped 5 pages later
gloom spite, lords of scilence,
Samus is here!
The local Astartes: "no he ain't"
oh THAT is a good one
yee
40k does horror well when its "mundane"
its been fuckin years since i listened to it
well
year and a half
imma maybe put it on this halloweenish
time
The one time 40k had me spooked was the first Caiphus Cain novel where Jurgen got separated from Cain fighting a Pure strain horde, I was like "NOOOOO THEY JUST KILLED JURGEN!"
Hes hiding that plot armor under that thick ass trenchcoat
If Jurgen die, I cry
also fire made flesh distrubed me a bit when they first revealed the big bad
made me hate cawdor tho
so
yea

what was uhh,, spoilers ahgain?
The Imperial cult?
nah House Cawdor
Who?
i feel old looking at my keyboard
Oh those guys
The fire witch hunters
Ik there’s a whole house of women called House Escher
thats the redemptionists
yeah because they are based
yee
they are popular for a reason
They remind me of a sorority group, but not cringe
Their amazonian/aztec-punk aesthetic helps
dont forget their death cult! they have one of thsoe
the fuckin uhh
Death Maidens
Honestly they’re the only thing Ik about necromunda. The other houses I forgot their names
yeee
yeah Escher are old school
one of the first few popular gangs
been around forever
Its not THAT bad
LmaO
GET IT
rim shot
idk if i wanan make my rogue traders venators or cold trader delegation
thats really good!
thanks!

also cold trader
best business
frr
the rat thing is making me rethink thier lore
originally i was htinking a house that likes xeno shit getting smahed by ordo xeno
and my character wants to return to xeno shit
to now bieng maybe liek
a stellar ass dynasty that ate shit so hard
they are cold traders
Honestly sounds good enough
especially as a fall from grace setup
because people got no idea how much xenotech rogue traders smuggle around for clients

Lol
Darktide literally has Hadron scold Hallowette for trading with aliens

so it works i think
i wanna include a xeno in my gnag but im nto sure how with out it like
'why does your eldar have a 5+ shooting?'
lmao
i was gonna make my wyrd bosion a navigator
navigators my beloved
i love navitgators so much
i know their gene techs wont allow me to love a navigator
Yeah unless you want them to get shunned and disowned forever 💀
one day i walk in at the wrong time and i get fucking labotmized by the eye
id expect they would kill them and harvest their genetic material for the genesmiths
GOD I LOVE NAVIGATORS its so horrible and poltiical
the severity of the punishment depends on the dynasty usually
but most would do that
only recently the genesmiths have stated that incest is no longer optimal for navigator production
according to the rites of passage
i cant find the quote but its like
'optimal navigator success rates are most achievable by cross house breeding'
FR
also yeah like
literally the point of a dynasty
lol
also the fact the living incest era navigators live in vaults under the palace
in 'an isolated paradise'

idk how to feel about that
yeah like they do 100% get pampered and shit since their role the more they get older/isolated is extremely important.
but you also basically become Baron Harkonnen but fatter and more mutated
so you know 💀
yea they are apparently allowed to do waht ever thef uck they want
lmao
is Meravis a good dynasty name?
actually
its stupid
time to spend 4 hours thinking of a better name
i think ill replace the hand with a hand holding a sling pistol? the sword is fine i doubt i will be wysiwug about it
Open the lexi for Navigator dynasties and make some cool sounding shit up.
Sky is the limit when it comes to inspiration
i mean rogue trader dynasty
thank you Gw for having a total of 3 words for a group of people
ight lex
only literlaly huss
us a trader house name
lee
lo pan
winterscale is a good one im not gonna make fun of that one
yep like i said anything works

what great naming
Murdus?
mur means mosue
mouse*
because 40k is oh so subtle why cant i?
i need the rogue t rader ost so bad
im trying not to spend 100 dolalrs on teh digital pack
literally the most excited i have ever been for a game
litearlly if a developer just asked nicely i woudl end up buying it
and then i woudl buy the box later
same but alas

the devleoper pack is the fucking youtuber pack
and it jurts
also the exclusive cosmetic stuff is probably inside the games code that can be pulled out with a silly straw

rewatching all the trailers and stuff
theres so much old lore, rogue trader, and necromunda sutff its nutty
would tech priest be more closely related to adeptus mechanicus worshiping zealots or psykers?
Feral ork gang
Adeptus mechanicus zealots, the admech is an organization that explicitly excludes psykers
You won’t find a psyker inducted into the priesthood
It’s the sigil of malcador
Or rather that’s where it grew from
Nowadays it’s used by the ecclisarchy, inquisition and a few other organizations
With variations
The I generally stands for "Imperium"
but yeah it does not stand for inqusition lol
this is the symbol the Astra Telepathica uses for example
Arbites have a very unsubtle one lol
I'm so mixed on majorkill, on one hand he knows his shit and I wanna support fellow Australian creators, but my god its so unpleasant to get sucker punched with some edgy bad touch uncle joke every 6 seconds without fail
so does lady alice work with / for brahms
asking cause melk has dialogue stating she isnt part of the warband
and in the current patch there is alot of on ship dialogue about her trading with xenos and having ships with unmarked cargo dock on the ship
Hallowette? She is part of Brahms Rogue Trader organisation
tbh I wonder what Brahms has in terms of muscle on board the Mourningstar
In theory she would have her own Guards regiment. Or similar.
Which we don't see cause we are in the Inquisitorial suite.
I do still wonder if Brunt and Hadron are attached to Brahms or Grendyl
Yeahs but I don't know what rank she could have. Like Melk is a Throne Agent. And Morrow is a Prime
But Hadron that's more difficult
She's most likely an Artisan or Fabricator tech priest, she most likely doesn't hold a true rank inside the Warband/Grendyl's retinue like the other members
She has no real path up in terms of her position is more so what I mean
she seems to be in charge of all the Tech priests and Tech adepts in the Inqusitions little area at the very least
But are those attached to Grendyl or to the ship itself that'd what I mean
Oh
the tech priests? 0 fucking clue
Hadron seems to be related directly to Grendyl
im new to the Warhammer universe . watched a few video's on some lore. I was wondering did the Emperor want to be kept alive to rule?
Yes
Him getting turned into a vegetable
Was not part of his plan
At least he is somehow still sustained by worship of people so that's something
I think he`s mostly sustained by 1000 souls being fed to him everyday
lol, thank you wolf. i will look into some more videos on him. so his about 10k years old?
Maybe even more
that and people praying to him basically gives him more power remember this is warhammer faith and belief in this setting giving you superpowers is not uncommon
He was born before our time. In Anatolia
He predates the writing of the Bible
I mean for fuck sakes ****** ******* saints exist
Since the Tower of Babel was real in 40K
And he uh
Slaughtered everyone there

But he’s really fucking old
Emperor is just mega boomer , that`s all
lol, the lore is crazy and interesting. thank you all for the info
if you think these are crazy
But his birthplace is around modern day turkey and he’s Anatolian
As far as we know
Gets deeper my guy
Maybe he’s lying out his ass
oh i bet it does
NO DON`T SEND HIN INTO BOOK REALM
But he seems to be truthful about his place of origin
the Indoctrination begins

Then He should start with Imperial Creed
Gaunts ghost is 90% burly muscled men beating each other up
You can take that how you will
there is dialogue between Masozi and Hallowette where Masozi says Hadron is refusing to repair the storm raptor, and hallowette replies she can get a more agreeable techpriest to handle it
There’s also a dialogue where Hadron tells Masozi to stop repairing the storm raptor on her own lol
Who is Masozi?
pilot lady
The lady who drops us off and picks us up
Mostly
Oh forgot about her
I didn`t pay enough attention to them , usually I just cut down poxwalkers
just got one about the ammo for auric level missions going missing and morrow accusing hallowette lol
LOL
so thats why we need to keep getting more
hallowete is absolutely stealing from the warbands supplies lol
Hell for the lifter mission she mentions stealing an entire Lemen Russ lol
Wonder what she does for Brahms
Speaking of dialogue, I had a new one two days ago about the time frame we've spent on Atoma. Ogryn asked how long we've been here and the vet was like "does Melk know your name?", which the Ogryn thought not to be likely. From this the vet explained then probably less than 3 months because Melk doesn't bother learning it otherwise and most reject die before that
i wonder if we will personally meet brahms cause our characters have dialogue as if they have met her but she hasnt been in any cutscenes yet
She is a Dealer no ? Basically act as the traders of Rogue Traders while they are occupied
She is actually in the opening cutscene
Ngl I’d assume our character has seen Brahms before
But we have no reason to like interact
Your master helps Inquisition , it`s time to steal their equipment and sell it
There are datamines voice lines hooks for proximity based voice lines for Brahms. So at some point I expect her to appear in the Ship
Also the judge seems to have picked up flagallent iron lol
Oh where can I find a list of these
Your master help the Inquisition due to blackmail. You and your master know that the Inquisitor doesn't really care for its people...
they said there was an event planned for the anniversary right?
i hope it adds some cool stuff cause the missions the last event add where both great and the interactions between melk and hallowette where really good
Nuh , We don`t need to know this information
Don't think they have said anything. In theory they might also do one for Halloween. Though I don't know the name they use in 40k
Rogue Traders are on the same level as Inquisitors
Thanks
ye dont they have like a warrant from the emperor that effectively makes them above the law?
Technically
Basically. Accusing a Rogue Trader is very difficult. Just like accusing an Inquisitor
In theory limitless power
In practice the size of your gun, reputation and relationships matters
i like the new lines where melk talks about our performance reviews being shit
and morrow justs say "they are still alive? the rest dont matter"
Hey we make it through Auric missions
morrow really seems like the only higher up who gives a shit about us
which is ironic given zola would be fucking dead without us
Zola seems indifferent, Morrow cares about us sorta, Melk and Hadron hate us lol
Hadron has talked about executing us on 3 separate occasions
there is a line at the end of i think the investigate mission where morrow tells masozi to hurry up and land cause we are gonna die
Hadron also seems to start liking you a tiny bit at level 30
Mostly because of some of the shrine lines
Melk and Hadron actually have personalities dependent interaction. Certain of them they like the other they dont
melk calls me a statistic
What character do you use
Holy shit lol
cadian vet
What character + personality
Melk is rude to my zealot but has never said anything like that lmao
i use a brawler ogryn and he's very friendly
I’m not sure if this is new but Hadron says “Go, we both know you’ll be back” sometimes when you exit the shrine now
In the thing I sent you look at the line 50+ those are the personalities array.
Lol
Per fall of cadia
There were considerably more cadians off world than on Cadia itself
These are older imperial armour books
And also, you can tell they weren't really thinking about them since if you actually check the regiments, one is noted as being mislabeled as a regiment from "Kython", so they're just flinging names
Just like me fr
He does not, in fact, "know his shit"
He does like, barely any more research than AR, maybe reads books here and there, but it's ultimately all just for entertainment
Him being a macho confrontational douche when he sees potential for viral drama doesn't help
Man it's a bad time to realize 2000pts into building my army that this is the exact aesthetic I want for my thousand sons, guess who's going broke on Seraphon kits this Christmas kids
rogue traders are allowed to trade with xenos, it's part of their warrant of trade, the rules of which were written when empra was still alive
he was a lot more tolerant about that sort of thing
I mean during the Great Crusade pretty much every important guy in the Imperium had a couple Eldar homies
For the imperium, to what extent would a “remote” turret be acceptable? AI is a big no no so I’d imagine a self-controlled turret wouldn’t be good, but what about a turret operated by a servitor or guardsman from within a tank hatch? (Ex: CROWS)
think tarantula turrets have a basic machine spirit without real intelligence so suppose it's pretty close to what you are asking
other than that a servoskull implanted to a turret I suppose
yeah they are
turret emplacements are a thing
Basically simple automated turrets
or as Ed said servitor ones, both work

oh yeah, i just caught up to pariah nexus and i must say i like sakan
Sakan DN
There's no way this wasn't on purpose
that was funny
i hope szeras rips out your soul and liquefies you alive

He doesn't believe in souls

Methinks thas just data the mindshackle scarabs grabbed
yeah unscientific terminology and all that
the mechanicus uses logic engines for various things, such as remote operation
the kastelan robots run on punch cards for example
they used to have sophisticated AI, but that got ripped out after the heresy
basically anything is fine as long as a human brain did all the thinking involved either in situ or ahead of time
lotta "if then"s in mechanicus code, i imagine
Aren't logic engines just augmented GAI?
I’m watching a video detailing the different SM legions and ngl, I think either the Imperial Fists or the Salamanders are my favorite
what makes you like them in particular?
i wonder how people in the empire reproduce (outside of marines)
