Pulse rifles are great and all until bayonets get shoved in a Tau’s face, and there are millions more bayonets behind you

Not to mention they are rather unwieldy considering they are long as fuck, which would be a nightmare in cqb to begin with, even without melee

Honestly, I wonder how overplayed the stereotype of “Tau bad in melee” really is

I know I just kinda repeated the meme myself but honestly just because the Tau don’t necessarily have as many dedicated melee units doesn’t mean they are bad in melee, it’s just that their doctrine dictates fire superiority, not unlike the guard, but with a larger focus of preserving their forces

Even fucking Farsight uses a daemon blade, and is proficient with it. Fire warriors do also use bayonets themselves
