We were not only asked but pushed to disarm
when you're being asked by two people who own piles of rocks to give up your single rock, how is that fair

Greater decisions was giving out our strategic aviation and most of ballistic missiles to russia
That why we need more Virus bombs 💀
Ideal that you give up your nukes from protection angist invasion... it seemingly worked...
my country had american nukes on its territory so that's pretty cool. could have suddenly became huge targets for a nuclear war for no reason
Im gonna move on but all ill say is
every country that gives up their nukes gets invaded
Its the ultimate deterrnant for a reason
Well you can have no nukes , but then you need to be in NATO
the great thing about living next to america is you don't even need detterrent
unsurporivsed Mechanicus and Assassinorum at work
Dilara im sending you the invoice for the bleach im ordering to cleanse my eyes
Hereteks usually take some cultist champs and mod hell out of them so they become daemon engines
mfw carnivore has the word vore in it
And use them as Assassins
Vore just means eat
Those guys are pretty funny
Hm , are there some minor daemon engines of Nurgle?
Because I know about daemon engines used by Blood Pact or Sons of Sek
yes, Plauge drones and Plauge Crawlers, if you want Models if you want Lore wise, just look at the Grav thorps Angels of Caliban
Pretty much reanimated barbwire
Those are pretty large for Darktide I think
New mini-boss?
it smaller then the Beast of Nurgle, as typically there found ins Swamrs
Plague drone , flying around and shooting at you
To be fair, the early concepts of nuclear weapons were kind of wild.
Id like nurglings as a horde enemy
Project Pluto, Blue Peacock, the Davy Crockett.
They are stealing pox walkers bread
50-60s armament projects in general are wild
Weapon designs during mosst of existance were wild
And then stuff like Project Orion.
Using nuclear explosions to launch us into space.
As I suggested earlier some Nurgle Champion on palanquin of Nurgle would be cool
the M16 is wild as fuck when you think about what was considered normal back then
Just some fat rotting cultist armed with bell (to summon pox walkers) and bolt pistol sitting on wooden throne which is being carried by a swarm of nurglings
What’s wrong with M16?
it's super advanced looking compared to older guns
Thoughts on the Churchill?
back then your gun had wood on it lol. just imagine seeing a weapon made entirely out of artificial materials
Meanwhile in USSR: we ball , makes an AK
I think people wouldn’t be so surprised by it
There were plenty artificial material then
Already
no the AR-15 platform looked like a futuristic ray gun to them
UK could have had this if it wasn't for the US being nationalist in regards to armament.
lots of people weren't used to such guns
it's why they thought soldiers didn't need to clean their M16. it caused a lot of issues when vietnam started
I at some point thought about a mission in Arma 3 in some kind of 1984 setting were players were armed with those rifles
Sorry, I posted the wrong version.
they could have had any decent guns if they didn't contract a british company to make it for them
That’s why British followed the path of Fal Friday
Why the US promised to adopt, then didn't and went with their m14.
honestly yeah they probably still ended up with a better weapon
Okay it’s time for me to go to sleep , everyone have a good day or night
later
Later.
Some H&K rifles and the Famas are also from the 60es btw
battle rifles are intrinsically cool
Except when you have to use them in full auto.
have you seen america's new infantry carbines? those are cool as fuck
Hell, the G11 is from the 60es
Nay, name/Pic?
i imagine they had the same reaction to the M16 being adopted
the ones by sig
Imagine being in the 60es and having to look at this
The ones that are using a similar calibre to EM-2 rifle.
You know what im glad, thats an abomination
those suppressors come by default and they use 3d printing technology
It was better than the SA80.
also they dont have rubber baffles or anything, they work through a forced air mechanism
and the barrel is reciprocating
these things are so sweet
it's weirdly not a big news thing
when it's a huge step for the military
I just dislike bullpups besides like the famas and mdr
it's insane seeing them adopt suppressors. it means the military actually care about protecting the hearing of soldiers
One I always liked was the one we got here in Italy, Arx-160
But I heard very contrasting opinions about it
Funny enough, but that's one of the rifles that is being considered to replace the SA80 system in the future.
That and supressing the audio profile of your weapon has benifits to combat
you guys really love beretta dont you
I mean we got that and not much else in that department lol
Like, the other "main" gun manufacter here in Italy it's known more for their Motorbikes
Berretta is a Italian company, it just makes sense to by local
And the fact all other gun manufacters here in Italy really, but really love making just shotguns
wait why does the ARX200 use AK mages
germans make british guns
Wait what?
Yall have h&k
Yep.
my own country makes our AR-15 clones thank you very much
my country's military contribution to the world is a cool gun sight, an APC that americans copied and a cool camouflage
Which APC?
meanwhile i can't even buy a pistol because there's a freeze on them
more like an ice age
LAV III
Rip
they didn't exactly copy
I mean, I think Atleast you don't have to wait basically half your lifespan just to get a license
i can get a license for pistols but it'll be useless
we cant buy them anymore, import them or even give them
Yeah. There no firearms clubs by me, so kind of impossible for me.
my country's gun laws are just badly made. not even to be political or anything but it should at least be properly covered
instead of relying on loopholes and politicians making lists of exact guns they dont like
that's literally what they do too. they have to name EVERY single gun they ban
it's so funny going over the law page, it's so long
Well, in the UK the police are trying to keep cracking down on issuing new licenses.
for the 1 gun crime that's committed every 10 years in the uk lol
Yeah lol.
the funny thing here is that black powder guns aren't even legally considered firearms
i can have one without a license
I do wonder if the Gyrojet technology would have been developed more if it had been made in a bigger calibre.
it would still be shit
it's a fundamentally flawed concept
caseless ammo on the other hand
sad that it hasn't been worked out fully yet
I don't think there is any demand or reason to do so.
there's a ton reasons but the military rarely takes risks
Yeah.
caseless ammo is more fragile and the battlefield breaks things
i think kal jerico is in my top 5 audio books
sinners bounty*
its a blantent advert for liek cawdor and the bounty hunter gang
but god damn its funny
to be the books ARE made to sell models
I suggest Lasgun Wedding also
yeah ill read through all the kal jerico books when i get the chance
but the book made sure that you ddint need ot read the previous ones
like, literally all the new bounty hunter models were in it besides the water guy
and they all form the gang that caem with the book of peril
venadator? vendator? for ever its spelt
also i now know squats have a terrible fake scottish accent and its amaizng
does- lex literally have a link to the pdf to the las gun wedding book
AHAHAHAH
thats hilarious all of the books have a link to the pdf
Lmao yeah its ANCIENT
but really good book
Kal gets to be the temporary ruler of Necromunda
because his mom was an inquisitor who had a fling with Helmawr
absolutely memery
i had af eeling it was his mom at the end of sinners bounty
but again it was my first kal book
oh lol
they destroy a spacehulk that has a necron tomb inside it over necromunda
also she seems pretty shitty inquisitor for letting a GSC formulate
saying that if they make a democratic council it would be easier to control
she was literally paid off bby the gsc to let them continue doing thier thing
love 40k
amazing
it was during the mid 2000's where 40k wasnt too afraid to be a lil goofy
sinners bounty released in 2019
lil devious
fr
thats old
oh my god its 2023
haha owned

i feel like terminal overkill could have been better, the child slavery chapters felt kinda gross and pointless
i disagree on the grounds of belief
i feel like the same idea would have been conveyed better with just her either going lord of the flies for a few chapters or just her trying to survive
but the cult? was really great
fair
i mean i get th emessage but she only really grew as a character at the end, nothing form that chapter besides her bieng on her death bed and having a gun for like 20 minutes
Yeah its dumb.
funfact: hearing a child talk about how she was being drowned to death being forced to rip apart a human torso in literal shit water isnt good wriitng
but beisdes taht the rest of the book was good
i only have 1 necormunda audiobook legt
left
and its the lowest rated one on iphone books
but yea also grendl grendlsen ahs made me squat minded
Grendyl squat confirmed?
i now require an ironhead squat book
he assisted in murdering kal because kal cheated in a game of cards, where he was the only one follwoing the rules
well
he then switched to kals side for economical reasons
We had the same problem with compressed air hunting rifles, but now they require a license too.
Anyhow yeah they are certainly not gonna go in my home to check if the black powder pistols, blunderbuss and crossbow i got are still functional lol
40k writers trying to come up with a non-generic european name for their characters: Impossible
hold on im enjoying WaW soviet music because im into vallhalans now
"Mark my words comrade, one day things will change. We will take the fight to their land, to their people, to their blood!" - Sgt. Reznov
A wonderful piece of music by Sean Murray.
Actually, more than one.
This is a mix I made which contains 4 numbers of the WaW Soundtrack.
Songs Used:
Stalingrad Theme
Russian Intro (Vocals Only)
Russ...
playing this on repeat as i rush all my infantry
I have yet to see a Laszlo, now I demand representation
The Emperor has no need for heroes
It exists lmao
URAAA
like

I read one passage
where a character named
Damon
comes across
a Daemon
and the daemon is like
"Lmao, funny name huh"

"I'm going to eat you now"
if they stand for chaos, they die for chaos
building by building, room by room, one rat at a time
shut up let me have my fanfiction
He would do that tbh
^
:)
also Valhallans are honestly good
they got like one moronic character whos that trigger happy mary sue commissar, otherwise they are solid.
but i dont think hes been mentioned in-lore for a long time lmao
I liked Firstborn Daughter
also based
yeee
Very pog GW moment
Now I need to get some ideas going
To make a sort of codex cover for the Bulwark
My new Imperial OC, Damon Prince (no relation)
Matt Damon Prince
Less problems to worry about if you just bulldoze everything in front of you
Sponsored by yours truly marines malevolent
ngl Kal was one of the best parts of the hired gun video game
him putting out a giant ass bounty on you at the end of the game was 10/10 lol
it was hilarious
especially with how cheesy and wonky the game's plot is
the perfect topping
Until we get a game where we can play every faction and it's an rts that's the day i die
The closest i can get is unification mod for dawn of war so i'll take it for now
unification mod is great, but man is it buggy at times
Fair especially when the heavy hitting units arrived
Just want a roguelike where you're a tzeentch sorcerer who gets a different mutation at the end of every stage. Like literally just make Hades in 40k and I'll be happy
Also are there any novels that feature tzaangors? I've been reading Ahriman omnibus expecting one to turn up and I'm not sure if I should be
well Mars was terraformed during the fourth millenium
Dayum
Thats way earlier then i thought it would be
Were the iron crusades(?) the first shit hits the fan time point

anyways, check out this timeline
Thank you so much
Im trying to prove to my friend that warhammer made the jump from real humans to sci-fi too quick by them settling it to ~1999
Warframe*
It's pretty awful tbh
Warframe 1999 is an Alternate Timeline, like the Drifter's one and Duviri
Normal warframe is thousands upon thousands years in the future
Yes warframe lore just gets more fucking confusing as it goes on
If you need any other info about it just hit me up
Who is the Erebus of Warframe ?
I've got almost 1k hours in Warframe and I have 0 knowledge of it's lore
Also happy to keep it that way
I just like the song
It's not worth it anymore lol
I used to play it before it had any real lore, dropped it for a few years and when I got back didn't bother learning any of the stuff
Post Second Dream it's a spiral of extremely weird lore decisions made to justify the thousands of different new mechanics during the game's Mid-life crisis
And then they jumped the shark for me when they started going into alternate universes
Also last time I played was around back when the railjack was relatively new
Same tbh
Anyhow yeah, Warframe 1999 is not even that bad in terms of time anyway if it wasn't an Au, remember that Dark Sector was set in the cold war
And in any case it's... Way over the 40k mark now
Like, so many years in the future they stopped counting
There's a reason why warframe tech level is basically "whatever the fuck you want" after all
Warframe 1999 looks like one of the characters has gone back in time and i assume that that is how they got the sudden advancement in technology
Anyway Warframe is one of my favourites. i like it a lot
Canoness Veridyan is based on Debbie Harry
Sir this is a Wendy's
They have a healing factor not so much of a regeneration though
Also they are easy to just stitch back together
Like you can decapitate an ork and if you're quick enough you can put him back on his body or on another body and he will recover
right that's docks or whatever they're called i do remember that part
paindox? paindocks?
Painboyz
ah, thank u
No problem
i just realized that there's only like 5 guard regiments that actually have any lore
and everybody decides to cosplay as death korp even though they have the most difficult uniform to replicate
No lmao
Nobody cosplays Krieg because they got their own aesthetic
well that and they are Mega Kringe
Its mostly any who had an army in the past which are now non-existant ala Vostroyans, Valhallans, Mordians, Catachan, etc
same with how not every space marine chapter gets any lore at all
i just saw a video where a bunch of cosplayers show off their outfit and most of it was krieg
of course the one annoying part of the uniform is the gas mask
you cant buy their gas mask. you'd probably even need to know some leatherworking to make your own
meanwhile vallahans just need a greatcoat and a ushanka
you're not allowed to prove me wrong
it's in the server rules
Yeah because people are boring
Death Korps of Kringe has more popularity due to wehraboos and internet memes
i hate all of these colour schemes https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/warhammer40k/images/7/75/ValhallanIceWarriorsSquad.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130212001943
maybe not the pure white one
but it looks too finnish
those greens are so gross though
Too bad.
Yo dilara, question
In terms of strategy what's the closest in the imperial guard if i want to play something like the GLA
Lmao god
honestly depends, but Penal Legions might be the closest
down to suicide bombers and just being angry mobs
What's the GLA ?
A terrorist group faction that you can play from command and conquer generals
I guess i will just have to find a way for them to have stealth technology that is extremely faulty and have a lot of cheap expendable armor
GSC broodbrothers
Command and Conquer Generals : Zero Hour Soundtracks
Probably 5-10 years late on uploading this soundtrack videos but due to me not being able to find a seperation video of the soundtracks of the expansion pack, I did it myself. You can download this with mp3 converters around the internet.
File name : GLA_11
ngl the iron legion has the better look but are held down by the color scheme
mustard yellow trench coats look bad
You will not explore the mysteries of the Koronus Expanse alone. Meet the companions who will help you to build and defend your flourishing trade protectorate, ranging from mysterious psykers to the holiest warriors of the God-Emperor. Study their dossiers closely, there is much critical information!
And if you wish, it will be possible to bring...
ok the command deck of your ship will be become a powder keg with all these different people on it lol
Penal legion with genestealer cult vehicles
I mean a lot of people cosplay kriegs
It's vostroyans that are probably the least done in cosplay form
I thought he was talking about miniatures for a sec
so my brain checked out
Lol
You can probably kill all of them
Also
You can sleep with the Eldar
lol
💀
low key i half expect them to kill each other on deck lol
also
wtf is a cold trader?
I assume their term for "fence"
makes sense
Oh hey I was kinda right
How charming
oh btw. did GW make the standard cadian style tunic longer recently?
because i have noticed in a lot of recent games the guardsmen's tunics seem to be longer and are basically short waist coats

I mean they got a huge ol redesign so it’s possible
got ya
Drastic ass change
yeah
but they seem to be the same length
i just must have never noticed till now lol
also, do the DKOK bren gun carrier looking things have a model?
Alright So what name should I give it to them
It's easy to give names to orks because they're freaking simple but for imperial guard
How do I give them something good
pick a random imperial world's name you like and then give them some gang name lol
I'll just call them the Garakan Scrap Rats
perfect
honestly old guard models looked like shit
that they did
kinda sad that lasguns don't look as chunky as they used to though
also i've seen 3d models of one but i have no idea if you can still buy a legit one
got ya
i'd check forge world
I mean they were old asf
I gave up on warframe lore shortly before the new war tbh
The Based reply
It was cool but then they were like “hey what if we took drugs and wrote paradox lore”
Was mega into Warframe aswell. All the stuff from New war and on just.. tbh bore me.
I just want more lore and quests with the people of the Origin system
ngl new war feels like DE just wanted to turn the lore into as big of a mindfuck as they could lol
Fortuna was peak WF imo.
Warframe lore on its way to be the most confusing what the f*** inducing escapade ever
yup
It would be dope if WF 99 was a og style CoD zombie mode
i wish
But we can all agree The Orokin is essentially Peak Dark Age WH humanity
cod zombies hasnt been good since 2012
Or just some dude
Yeah i can agree with this
Im waiting till cross save till i play again
Fuck that's finally coming?
I hate switch
Ooof
Yeah
I cant fucking wait for the book weapons tho
I’ve been using nataruk but books seem way cooler
even that just makes the lore more confusing tho lol
Yes, but I get a fun mode out of it
like. is Entradi over 2 million years old or is it just some more multiverse bs?
true
He's been in there long enough to go to a Ben and Jerry's and get ready to tell you you're late.
indeed it was
i mean peak humanity was also known as the Men Of Gold after all
apparently it's name is Arthur
more multiverse bullshit, Entrati was also in Duviri after all
didnt find him lol
i only play warframe for a few weeks after new content drops then stop because fuck that grind lol
Good choice, not a bad name
knowing how warframes where made, it could easily be yes to both
i mean... he's based on the Excalibur frame
As are all Arthur
that would get weird really quickly lol
Warframe is already there
and also i already imagine the inevitable porn wave of doing any of the female frames
💀
especially considering how many are there of the technocyte/mechanical ones
Do not the infested biomechanical abomination
btw AC6 got his own third party proxy of a Storm Bolter
Arthur and Excalibur. Makes sense
OG rhino prime description. I wanna see that Roid Rage guy
to late, Prime Wisp has been unleashed
that thing
eats ammo
More ammo efficient then the mini gun tbh
We have some massive news for Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2! They officially confirmed PVP/PVE Modes for the game, then they deleted it, good thing I screenshotted everything!
Thank you for watching my video, glory to the Emperor and the Imperium of Mankind!

Just realized
Lady in the gameplay preview says "The 8th never miss"
But the 8th all died on Cadia
Uhhhhh

That's goin in the book

Probably reformed or something?
Yeah possible
especially with the Re-Cadiafication regimen the Imperium has going on
I do love me some Canadians
Two pages of reading about thousand sons using tutelaries to clean their boltguns for them and I see how easy it would be for me to fall to Chaos
likely alongside the installment of the new Lord Castellan
oh man Helga is a good comparison too
havent seen her in years
then again she is just a side villain
My memory is great when it comes to remember random video game characters and lore
But by god
I can't remember who wrote Canterbury tales
Wolfenstein already kinda enters 40k territory a lot with its dieselpunk aesthetic and memorable european-centric character design
also nazis/fascism i guess kek
Nazis, you mean nazis
Lmao
The ratling who stole Ursula J. Creed's rations when she got a hold of him:
In fariness I think she looks like Creed's daughter
Ursula addressing the female Cadian adults when she sees how all their new Cadian child soldiers are performing
At least it isn't some reused Sister of Battle asset
her looking more or less ugly is a great design decision yeah
still my favorite moment in the Wolfenstein games https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU6tQY3eMLM
Funny scene in the beginning of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.
it's like an onion
the guard looking at Rudi 2-3 times to make sure hes laughing so he can join along as to not get punished is prob my favorite detail
I miss when Wolfenstein was good

LMAO
really enjoyed those games. played em for the first time a while back. didn't bother with the last 2
Yeah New Colossus more or less does nothing
Young Blood was just shit
Old Blood and New Order tho oof

It had the uhhh
Same thing that happened with the DOOM reboot
2016 had a nice style
Eternal doubled down on the arcadey look
Eternal still kicked ass and is a good game though is the thing.
New Colossus just really suffered story wise
yeah

which is a problem because the new wolfenstein games are literally all about story and characters
will say, enjoyed the scene of the Nazi getting pissed at the klan dudes cause they couldn't speak german. also enjoyed the dynamic with his father.
Yeah theres a few chunks of gold amidst the mud
"YOU ARE BUTCHERING MY BEATIFUL LANGUAGE. Say it again."
"Donkey... shaun?"
"I HEARD ENOUGH. BEGONE."

"I-I'm from Arizona 😅 "
fucking dies
so funny
honestly tho realistic reaction
One day we'll get a 40k game like this

aka never
around the same time i played the mass effect games for the first time i'm realizing
good games
Remember when games were good.
Not as hard to get into as Dragon Age
easily some of the best games i've ever damn played
i'm going the black lion route. get so much art people think my characters are canon then have them kill Ahriman
cause an OC beating a champion of chaos makes a ton of sense
Going to eat you
I've seen some
Interesting characters on twitter
I think my fav is the Black Templar that is dating Celestine
Is that Cillian Murphy
Or the guy that plays Webbster in Band of Brothers
But yeah
40k OCs are
Not mine though
mine are based

believe it's him in the batman movies ja
Oh scarecrow
yup
Was thinking that
good ol Crane
Scare crow best dc villan
He has a really distinct face when it isn't emoting
Deserves a yellow ring tho
see what i do
imagine a sentence of lore
never write it down
get art of them
boom
rinse and repeat
OC as in like original characters or something im dumb and dont understand
ye good old homebrewing
Opaque creatures
My favorite kind
A salamanders sub chapter based of my gecko
I have uh
Im gonna paint them but i need money for paints
A Chapter
very nice
Chapter master’s name is Newton Augustus Salazar
i got the basic ol warband
Cuz thats my geckos name
"Watchers of Anarchy"
I'm still a very big fan of my naming for them
some green and black boys. cause i enjoy both the 30k adn 40k colors of the DA
yay homebrew planets
That’s one hell of a Gender Reveal Party
I'm interested in lore so I'd like to know...in the game what regiment is the one with the 77 marking on the shoulder. Cuz is there's the 77th cadian, but the one in the game has the inquisition "I" in it. I tried researching some stuff but couldn't find anything
It's at best Atoman PDF
Say
77th Atoman
Get conscripted by Grendyl for his war efforts
Add an I to show off allegiance
Hmm
I mean I figured it wasn't listed but I didn't know if it was in lore somewhere.
You'll see a LOT of regiments that look like cadians since their stuff is "standard"(for as much as that counts with the guard)
Yea know that. I'm just more interested in the insignia and what it means
It doesn't mean anything tbh
Its just there for visuals
Even the insignia itself is just Number with Skull In it™️ which is generic cool army symbol making 101 when it comes to sigil designwork
One session. All the base colors.
Warhammer tries really hard to make you feel like they've considered every detail and built the world organically down to like, every numbered regiment having real lore but its really not the case.
They just kinda pick a number and leave enough room before/after to allow retconning or the addition of new info, thats why so much stuff is left intentionally vague: they're giving themselves the 'out' to essentially change half of anything that's in the lore on a whim
is there a 40k weapon with a similar look to the brettonian longsword?
i want them to add something just like it but the guard dont seem to take any normal looking swords
there's normal like literal great swords in the 40k setting that the imperium uses
true lol
i just want some weapon that has the B longsword's gimmick, thing was fun af
pretty
power sword
You should join space knight enjoyer gang
Average black templar enjoyer
None for tabletop afaik but Guard lore by it's nature allows you to write them as using such stuff
yea a lot of the melee weapons seem to be improvised so its pretty easy to write them into tabletop for IG
It's mentioned that Imperial Army Halberdiers picked off whoever dropped off the wall
In five million years
its all i want
idfk
id sell both my kidneys
yucky
Marines are far too popular to be supplanted as protags
Even if there's literally almost two dozen other factio s
i mean they are but i like playing from the grunts perspective
the guard are the backbone of the imperium
yea back in the day i brewed up lore for a custom guard regiment called the Bashlik Sellswords, who were complete bastards who would show up to a system in need, and demand an absolutely outrageous payment in exchange for helping.
they only survive off their extortions cuz the admech wont support them after trying to extort a hive world
That means less book sales
Id also settle for a last stand of cadia game
photoshopped otgether the drip outfit
I'm based I draw all my guys
bren guns are gross tho
unique tho
yes
bren las gun
but british
This whole setting is bri'ish
no its hIgH gOtHiC
Best homebrew hours
horned templar
but yea bren guns and longswords were their getup
great horned templar
He's a blood angel
nocturnal hunters
High gothic as a language technically includes some East asian stuff lol
Its like a mix between Latin, some east asian language and english
except everything we see is just great value latin lul
But high gothic would be incomphrehensible to anyone who knows latin
Behold Matthias, High King of the Angel's Bulwark, Scion of the Great Angel!
In fairness, latin is incomprehensible anyway half the time
there werent any guard regiments that acted like mercenary groups, so thats why i made the Sellswords. some functioning regiments would definitely extort the worlds in need, especially in the imperium nihilus
high king?
real
I had it for 4 years
timor mortis conturbat me
chapters have a lot of weird titles
you can do pretty much whatever you want
tbh
Best thing I learned for translation is just
"Read it, guess"
also not enough guard regiments wear cool ass knight armor, so this was what i could come up with. i wanted a unique looking las gun for them so the las bren was what i came up with, but do y'all have any other ideas?
Bren is fun
have you considered the french LMG
from WW1 that jammed a ton
I forgot its name
is high king your chapter master?
circle flat mag one?
Did knights wear scale
Yeah
some did
Scale mail?
He's head honcho
yeah some did
China didn't have knights but they used a ton of scale armor historically
Romans used Squamata right?
this thang?
yeah
The chauchat?
not bad looking tbh
ye
it looks super cool imo
Feel like it was more popular pre fall tbh
too bad it jammed in like 4->10 shots on average lmao
Post it was all bout that mail
Also gambesons=Chad and the best fit for a feudal regiment
honestly this looks pretty fire for potential las weapon
unique design, implied high mag capacity, room for big bayonet
absolutely was I think lol
Looks like a steampunk SMLE
i like the look of the bren, but a knight themed regiment should really have big bayonets, and i dont think those would work well on las-bren
damn internet
too big and clunky to use a bayonet well
Just give them spears
perhaps if all the sellsword guardsmen has shortswords
The galvanic rifle is funny from a lore perspective
Like, actual spears
cant easily carry a big spear and a bren
because thing thing can pierce light vehicle armor lol
altho spears are underused in 40k
Is that the thing rangers use to snip bits off knights
they were really that good?
Lore wise they're horrifying
I have a bunch of my marines using spears because they look cool as fuck
they're EMPs + can pierce armor better then bolters
Rangers are precise enough to disable knights with them
also the bullets have servitor brains in them
the only downside to them is that they're #1 kinda heavy(not an issue for skitarii) #2 expensive as shit
guard troops with spears sticking out of their backs would look pretty cool, but may be too impractical
also their rate of fire is despite looking like a musket
is as fast as lasguns on a standard setting
Make them foldable, duh
why? I don't know
but admech gun lore is weird as shit
compared to gun that literally sucks the potential energy out of things
well the helmet i used for the sellswords was from the ottoman empire, perhaps a standard issue melee weapon oughta take a similar inspiration
they do a lot of these fancy ceremonial daggers
hmm
but is there something to better show off their bastard mercenary nature?
damn these spears were fire, but standard troops wouldnt carry em on their backs
i guess a mix of the fancy dagger, big curved sword, and bastard sword depending on rank/status
Chaucha or something ?
I think?
This makes me want cowboy admech lmao. Like imagine just bumpkin-ass admech who have minimal body mods and just "live off the land" but its fuckin mars so they rely heavily on technology anyway and don't acknowledge the hypocrisy
Well they do have their cavalry men and they do use Archeo Revolvers
They ik they have like elements of wild west steampunk design but a proper subfaction would be kinda neat and lean into the slightly goofy vibe admech have
Maybe more of a lore thing tbh idk if admech really need subfactions
Admech is already a mess of an army in game
because GW can't make up their mind with them
in both major game systems
i cannot describe in words my love for bolt action guns that have been modified into automatic rifles
know of any other cool looking ones?
here's a couple of cool looking LMG's and automatic rifles (old term for what would be a battle rifle these days) :
farquhar-hill
fedorov avtomat
colt monitor (a BAR adopted by the FBI)
1917 burton (yes it has two mags)
if you want some really cool guns that look antiquated and are rarely seen you should go with a very specific period of weaponry.
Between the era of bolt action guns and muzzle loading guns there wasn't really the concept of a "magazine". when the cartridge was invented rifles still only shot once before needing to reload
used both of those in BF1
Me when the WW2 video game reloads the SVT/G43 with magazines
you can choose:
martini henry (the famous one)
Berdan rifle (russian)
springfield trapdoor
mauser 1871
those look cool af
these guns shot absolutely massive rounds
they had very little velocity but their mass alone would hit like a truck
but as a homebrew guard regiment i was wanting them to have different looking but otherwise functional las guns
idk if i can do that with those long rifles, but with the farquad, bar, and bren i see potential
if you want a cool looking BREN look at the original czech version called the ZB vz. 26
i have a soft spot for heat fins
they make any gun look ten times cooler
is that a left handed handle on the side or a foldable one?
i want punt gun lasgun
i dont remember the name of that type of gun but i think it was for duck hunting
it was so effective it had to be banned
Yep.

clean af
that's russian right?
and plenty of room for a bayonet
Danish.
oh boy
did those things use bayonets?
Used by a lot of European powers in WW1 and WW2.
let me introduce you to japanese machineguns
And the Brazilian Police.
it looks way cleaner and less bulky than the bulky las-bren i photoshopped together
will def make a new version of this image with one of those older ZB 26s
that mag is goofy
Still looks good for something that is 121 years old.
Do you think the Orks would make wooden cannons if they didn't have enough scrap around them?
Definitely
yea but theyd be one time use and definitely kill the user
ork can make weapons work that othes couldnt, but they cant make them work well or consistently without the right parts
like a gun made by orks will shoot well for them, but will jam constantly or fail to load for a human
hell if they don't have the technology they will just make thump guns
Right, but I'm asking if they lack the metal, would they use alternative materials, such as wood?
oh definitely
Howdy! Quick lore question, are there any Ogryn Servitors?
I’m impressed he managed to score a hit on that thing that close.
He’s be dead even before they close the distance.
Huh, they don't seem to have their craniums modified much. Do... do they not lobotomize Ogryns? Or maybe they do but that's like putting a hat on a hat so it doesn't make much difference.
That's from the Octarius War book

Excuse me while I murder someone
AA-

tabletop battles look very stupid sometimes
artillery pieces being right next to the enemy. tanks being swarmed by enemies but still shooting like normal
and the maps are always too small for the amount of units so starting positions look so overfilled
Well Monsters and Vehicles fire their guns frilly while in Melee with Enemy
About Artillery , well there thing like Manticore which could shoot up to 240"
But technically Arty also can shoot their range weapons while in Melee
yeah that's why i'm saying it looks stupid. I know this is how the game works but it looks goofy to look at
absolute chad
Well default Infantry AT having a maximum strength of 9 looks goofy
u saying the bulky blocky bren was chad or the slimmer ZB 26?
the armor lol
yea the armor was totally someone else's art that i photoshopped the other parts on (helmet, gun)
wanted to make a scaled uniform ottoman themed but lack the talent
I don't!
Wink wink nudge nudge
aint put enough thought into the idea to get actual art commissioned
basic idea of the Bashlic Sellsword Regiment:
in the imperium nihilus, its damn hard to run a guard regiment with how impossible it is to maintain supply lines
this fleet based regiment comes to planets in need that they believe is an easy fight, will not help at all until they extort massive fees from the governor for their aid on the battlefield
as bastard mercenaries, the troops are well equipped and treated pretty well, being assigned on 10 year contracts of service, where at the end they can get paid and be dropped off at the next planet with an honorable discharge, or get promoted for a bigger payout after 10 more years (few live this long in service)
ideas to make em cooler or fit better in lore appreciated
random idea for em: hatchet laspistol for CBQ (best paired with a roundshield)
Just yap about here, I can make you a basic design free of charge
Mmmm they probably won't be fleet based, but they could have a deal with like
A rogue trader or such
He gives them transport
They give him a cut
i appreciate it, but wouldnt want to use your valuable time for just an idea i wont do anything with lol
Practice is practice
that does make sense, and there arent any regiments im aware of that are led by a rogue trader
and it would work well with their extortion nature
inquisition might tolerate it becuase in the nihilus a regiment like this could put out a few more fires then they cause
Why it has a “Regiment” in it’s name?
heck yea! the idea i had for em was basically this: scaled mail with an ottoman Chichak helmet, and maybe simple cloak for cool factor, and a las version of the ZB vz 26 with a bayonet (to add more cool lookin las guns to the setting)
but no rush at all and if you cant get to it no worries
because they function as a regiment of the imperial guard, although very unorthodox
unless that dont make sense lore wise
They are an IG Regiment or have similar structure?
yes
they started as an imperial guard regiment, but then the great rift happened and now they are functionally a mercenary band under the colors of a guard regiment
So technically Renegades
like those firefighters in ancient cities that would haggle you for the price of your home and buy it for pennies on the dollar or let it burn

yea technically but its the imperium nihilus where everything is chaos, and if your planet is being swarmed by deamons, having these guys come is a moderate improvement
Well then everything seems to be in place
they are loyal to the imperium and pay lip service to the emperor as long as they get paid
they only answer calls to distress if they think the world has resources they can easily extort from it for a profit
i feel like this would be highly illegal
its imperium nihilus
the bad side of the imperium where even the astronomicon barely works
they get away with it because there are bigger fish to fry over there
they'd be making enemies with a ton of planetary governors
Well , I think their path will led them becoming another pirate gang that swarms the galaxy
thats the thing tho
Or going down and becoming Heretics
they only go to a planet once and collect their fee as a lump sum, because a planet not in crisis will resist their extortions
Because you know , Dark Gods can give you more
space scalpers
yea probably lol but for now they are loyal and cool for it
exactly
too many guard regiments with loyalty and zeal
need something that feels more desperate
that's because all the popular regiments are the best ones
yea these would be edgy and cool due to being bad boys
Well as unknown Commissar said: There is only one step between unbelieving and heresy
with epic knight armor
Scail Mail = Epic Knight Armor 💀
look up ottoman knights
If they Middle-eastern themed, okay
picture this: you are a governor on a planet with a very bad chaos uprising like Atoma in DT. soon the entire planet will be screwed. the only ones to answer your distress call is a massive fleet that will only land and help if you promise to give them a massive sum of raw materials, wealth, and people.
do you say "no thats illegal/heretical" and let the planet burn, or pay the steep price for salvation
thats how they operate
And then live on fucked up planet with little resources left
better than giving it to the heretics
Pretty good and miserable life
its 40k after all
they are like having the flesh tearers help your planet, but guard flavored and not as bad
you should embrace the illegal aspect and just make them pirates that also fight as a guard
necromunda guard regiments are mostly gang members
after all even pirates are needed by the imperium. the slave trade is what keeps the steady flow of servitors coming
I think from point of view of any Loyal Governor you would better die in flames killing as much heretics as you can , rather giving you precious resources that will be need in further survival of your planet to some IG Regiment whose loyalty to the Emperor is questionable
And they also may be heretics
also this. how does the governor not know he's potentially giving resources to tau
tau use humans too
Maybe this regiment will get resources and just left
they use guard tactics and organization (commisars, commanders, etc)
wait your guard has commissars?
as ive seen from many 40k books, governors will do anything to stay alive
how does that work with the illegal aspect
good question
commissars are trained apart from their regiments precisely so this doesn't happen
lemme think about that
Just a bunch of Enforcers
its imperium nihilus, so they didnt get a batch of commisars, so they made their own
?
good point
perhaps the rogue trader(s) that they work with supply their own discipline officers ?
hmm good points
Well , In both variants survival of Governor is not guaranteed
that's not how commissars work. they're political officers trained by a completely different part of the militarum. they're pretty much useless if trained to be criminals because their entire purpose is to remove dissent
a guard regiment using their military might to extort desperate worlds in the chaos of nihilus is a baller concept, but i do need to figure out how differently theyd be structured and organized
it would either have commissars or something completely different
Well they can try to cleanse corruption in mercenary ranks
something different seems like the only option
they are a very unorthodox guard regiment after all
they killed their commissars
Or just dropped them on some random world
or they could have normal commisars but the commisars are beholden to the authority of the rogue trader's that run the Sellswords
on the battlefield they fight mostly as a normal guard regiment, but the commisars dont have an influence on the extortions or whose distress calls are answered
Their structure depends on what you want them to be
i think the best way is to have the interior structure mostly similar to average guard, but the exterior decisions (like extorting worlds and cool armor) is what sets em apart
Em regular Regimental Commissars already don’t have a lot of authority about what their Regiment would do
indeed
