i wish i had to read any interesting books
At least you can god damn read
Same.
With sign language while talking about non sus business
I try to read and my brain goes off to another direction
It's called audiobooks
also this
You can even get them for free if your a broke school student
hey i have attention issues too. it's normal for me to read a page like 10 times before getting anywhere
but i've been reading ever since i was a loser child so i got used to it
Me give it like 20 times before i get what the f*** is going on
I don't read books anymore tbh just read manga
i got a trick for that. there's two ways i read:
slowly, where i read character and location descriptions then close the book and try to mentally create an image in my head i can remember. this takes a while but lets me visually follow the plot easier with different characters
quickly, where i just insert joe shmoe faceless character as every person and vague outlines of locations from my memories of actual locations
idk audiobooks are nice but they don't allow you to read cool action stuff with music
music can improve the reading experience so much
Could play music over the Audiobook
I completely zone music out for large stretches of time so I can't listen to music while using my brain
Can do while cooking or cleaning easily but reading or games doesn't work for me
Same, i really want to listen to spotify while playing deep rock galactic but it's just not possible
And plus the built-in music in games tends to fit the situation a lot more
The adrenaline pumping as dance of the dreadnought place while i fight a horde is always amazing
Let the chat burn
This stuff is amazing
More artillery in general is greatly appreciated
Plus the style is perfect
Goons in meme chat meanwhile calling it shit while never glancing at it
Well AoS equals bad, it's the channel for ppl just passing by to drop the worst 40k or fantasy takes ever, the ghoul cave
True!
I could probably kill a crypt ghoul ez they're just like humans who eat corpses
The orcs
Oh wait
"Orruks"
I don't even care anymore i will just call them orcs i'm not going to explain any anything because i'm pretty sure you can tell why i like them
I quite like the Skullgrinders
fantasy chaos always looks cooler than 40k chaos imo
Joebadon vs Chadchaon
both have their positives, I like the more mutation heavy side of 40k and can't go wrong with old space marine armour but fantasy has very cool armours like the new chosen are absolutely stellar minis
so good
Chaos space marines need to take on more of this look imo
Enough looking like mean spikey guys, have them actually look like some hellforged warriors of hell
and hellfire
My friend and I had a fun little conversation about Tyranids vs Flood, and one question popped up in my mind. Since Tyranids adapts to poison and so on, how well would they adapt to the Floods spores?
Since the Flood could only be stopped by weapons that worked the same way Necrons gauss weaponry does, so the question is, to what level does the Tyranids digestive pools break down stuff?
Cause the spores have survived stuff that's not "tearing molecules piece by piece".
Tldr : Can Tyranids adapt to the Floods invasive spores?
maybe, iirc there has been a mention of tyranid and ork cells fighting each others so could probably work the same way idk
It would be a statle mate, but from the moment that the Flood can infect a Tyranid Synapse it's basically done for the Tyranid, and the whole world
there could be a biological change in the nids that will repel a flood infection for example I guess
immunity of sorts
As cacti said if a synapse creature gets infected it's over as the flood would learn how to use the synapse connection and control lesser nids
Especially worse if it happens with one of the bigger ones like Norns
and if they happen to come by the other biological races and learns of knowledge about tyranids they are even more fucked
wonder what it fells like to get slapd by an ogryn ?
i imagine you could recreate if you ever pissed off an elephant into stepping on you
probably not a great time
i thout it whold by like bing slapd by a giant bodybuilder with no remors
well they're like, from very far above average to superhumanly strong, and usually are either lacking the intelligence to or are enraged/single minded enough to not care to hold back
they non-figuratively tear people apart
so i'm thinking like, being hit by a fire hydrant that has flown off the back of the truck on a highway
well i think ogryns boneheads will mack great body gurds for inqisetors
They do, though usually Inquisitors are able to get other things that are somewhat better, like Crusaders
Ogryns are common as inquisitorial henchmen
but think massive bodygurds and stupid enoth not to ask qustions and loyel enoth that all you need a liyel gurde for life is just seying nice things
Commissar are often with Ogryn Bodyguards
they're gigantic, prone to violence, fanatically loyal, will happily take small arms fire for you and will do what they are told without question. there's a reason they're one of like three abhumans tolerated mostly in the imperium, they're really useful
wonder why there arnt any ratling in the game we can play as

because making a character like that from the ground-up is easier said than done.
Like, you know, most game development.
Also gonna be copying this to describe Turkish people
🇹🇷
lol
Have fun not being able to shoot through any cover
I'm pretty sure your head would be sent flying and would set a new world record
Oh yeah dilara i have a question
Orcs from warhammer fantasy were smaller than that of 40k right
They are the size of normal human iirc, so like Ork Boys ?
Uhh honestly no it varies
They are more or less the same as 40k orks
So there have been war bosses the size of ogres in fantasy?
Well that's something you do not want to see as a medieval peasant
Yeah fantasy orks are as horrifying as 40k orks
They are more or less just 40k orks without guns
When you get sent in the front lines and you see a giant orc missing an eye and he has a giant axe

Speaking of warhammer fantasy in a head-on fist fight who would win, an ogre or an ogryn?
Just head on brawl
Well stat wise I'd say they are about equal
Ogres got muscle AND belly-power
But Ogre are more martial trained and have the blessing of the Maw
Yeah this is a good point
So in the end I'd give it to the Ogre most of the point
Bullgryn with the weapons ? Or with mundane weapons ?
No weapons at all just bare hands
Then I'd still give it to the Iron gut over the Bullgryn
Yeah but i was thinking of the basic ones
A regular ogryn
Vs a bull
But i guess this would go to the bull right?
Normal Ogryn I'd give it to the Bull 6-7 times out of 10
Bullgryn, I'd give 4-5 for the Bull
I see
I wish they showed orcs in aos and fantasy using musket or blunderbuss weapons
A big tragedy
They're the same I'd say the only main difference is armor and tactics
Plus it's charonites > bullgryns > regular
I mean yea, a Charonite with it's upgrades and stuff would probably be able to stand toe to toe with a Iron Gut without problem
I mean they turn space marines into crem brulee no problem in the 4th horus heresy black book
The only person that could easily kill them was HORUS HIMSELF
Yeah, but Ogre are quite strong, like on their own they are able to destroy a Chaos Spawn without much problems
An ogryn chaos spawn is a terror to behold
I'd still wager that a fantasy ogre can beat an ogryn solely because of more brain power
Plus ogre culture being the way it is
Yeah of course but ogryn are more chill ogres are MEAT MEAT MEAT
I just say brain power just because I think an ogre can count more than 3
There has to be some brain power in greasus or any ogre tyrants brain
Without augmentations that ogryn need
So why are people calling the Black Templars Heretics.
Who's saying that
Usually it's the other way around
Unless you mean the sizeable chunk of them that turned to Khorne not long ago
It's the heretics calling black Templars people?
No SM is people
Jerma my beloved
Because they suck

so apparently i burnt my sens of smell yesterday
i cant smell shit
literally
time to smoke and finish the soul drinker book finally
I wonder if the Imperium would, like the US IRL, find the idea of the project Pluto missile too extreme.
I mean that's a Thursday in the imperium
i love that two of the images used in the thumbnail are from literal analogies to fascism
Yikes
My ultimate need, child soldiers
Also if jerma was a space marine what chapter would he be in
noise marines
That's an occupation
I was thinking loyalist but I agree
I have an OC donut steel group of Marines that are from emp children but aren't chaos or strictly loyalist, more like mercenaries scattered across the galaxy loosely and they'd have non chaosy sound weapons and noise marines
So I can insert jerma into my epic oc donut steal lore
So I looked it up apparenlty the Black tempars killed a bunch of Primarus space marines.
Well It only a small extrmeist group and not every BT on the ship agrreed and some even tired to defend the Pirmairs OFC the exitimsits won but they soon ended up being borded by a group of World Bearrers in a fight that wiped out both the WBs and the remaining BTs.
They also killed the Custodian escort that was with the Primaris marines
because BT are kinda braindead

it was a pretty funny incident though, especially knowing Helbrecht himself was very much fine with Primaris marines, I guess this particular Crusade group of BTs was just a bit too late on the message
I mean
all BTs are extremist nuts, their entire joke is that they are a parody of european crusaders who are massively racist and want to kill everyone.

Yea but LBTH the Mairnes Maleovlent are worse.
Ehhhh no
BT are much worse and got more numbers to prove it.
Marines Malevolent are just assholes.
Well moslty the BTS hatred is directed at the Empeors Children.
Somthing about that traitor legion really rustles their jimmies.
BT hate mutants, aliens and any human that goes against the Imperium more or less.
Actually they hate most mortal Imperials too lol
A good half of the Helsreach book has the main BT character Grimaldus constanty insult and think lowly of the guardsman accompaying them in the defense of the hive against the orks
I wonder what they think about Kreigers.
Nothing, they are another legion of mortals at the end to them.
they don't really care about anyone as long as you just do your job for the most part.
Also this guy shoiuld be made canon he is a total badass.
The Gothic War still happened, but obviously the second game can't be canon
Its canon until you start the story properly
after anything Spire does it kinda goes off the rails
Well maybe not exactly but I could totally see Spire emrging from the warp aftrer the fall of Cadiaa rally the scattered imperial fleets and hold the line long enough for grind the Black Cursade for as Hailt allowing Bobby G to launch his own Crusade.
Yeah more or less that would be pretty close
Plus with Yarrick gon the Imperium needs more non Space Marine heroes.
And this guy literal;ly has everyoine set up for him.
Yarrick is not really dead
Hes probably just gonna get a miniature update at some point this year
His entire death report is very propaganda-coded too since we got no idea what even "killed" him.
Didnt they confirm it was Angron?
And probally he will eviehr come back as a living saint or because orks belive he cant be killed so Wagggh BS.
Thats also not a real thing
Yarrick is just a good commissar and a fighter
people just play it up for again, memes
He'll just get a mini-update at some point this year probably and have another showdown with Ghaz on Armageddon as a side content for this edition
Well Yarrick did have an ork warboss mech arm installed and don't ork tech only works becauyse orks belive it works.
Partially correct. There needs to be some basic functionality (can't just shake a bucket of bolts and call it a landmine). It works better when Orks believe it should work.
Yet they used a drawing of an engine to power a stolen leman russ tank.
Source on that?
In the Yarrick books
which are like ANCIENT at this point
they just repurpose it with admech help present on Armageddon to make it work.
It has nothing to do with ork waagh power, at the end of the day its just a giant power-claw.
I mean the engine. Is that an actual thing from a black library novel?
No lol
Ork tech is usually entirely functional to a point, the Waaagh power-field works more as a psychic duct-tape
People just assume if orks believe hard enough they can make a wooden stick fire bullets which is meme lore.
Yup.
Yet painting somthning red makes it go faster.
It doesn't.
That's also meme-lore
orks believe that it does, when in reality its not the case at all
So basically the more insane feats of Waggh energy is in the same bin as Gulliman and Yrvarines romance, and Sly Marbro.
Yeah those are all stupid memes lol
But to expand on the ork color thing a bit, These are things that Orks genuinely do believe. Whether or that belief has any effect is hard to say.
Do red trukks go faster because they’re red, or do Orks paint fast trukks red because they’re fast? Or as an even better example, are Evil Sunz vehicles fast because they’re red, or are they fast because Evil Sunz are better drivers and/or even more insane than the average Ork?
For all the talk of the Ork gestalt that is so common in the community it is incredibly rarely mentioned in lore at all, let alone described as being responsible for the physics defying feats some people attribute to it.

Yea the same people who ship Gullimran and Yrvraine are the same people who think Inquiistor Greyfax is having a lesbiant romeon and Julleit relationship with a Living Saint.
Thats honestly more plausible than anything with Guilliman and Yvraine is all ill say

Mostly because they spend an entire audio-drama being sarcastic, snarky and jokey with each other.
Guilliman and Yvraine meanwhile talked twice in lore and never again.
It gets referenced in the 4th edition codex for Red Paint Job (a vehicle upgrade) with the fluff text: "Orks believe that a vehicle that has been painted red can outstrip a similar vehicle that isn't. As odd as it may seem, they are quite right"
However it's just as likely that the Orks either painted an already fast vehicle red because of this belief, or that a red vehicle will be upgraded alongside the red paint so that it does go quicker; better fuel, more turbos, stronger engine, more gears, etc.
Its that and also this goes way back where a techpriest analyzing thing effect cites the same thing.
The thing people forget when citing these references to support the idea that Ork technology works "because of magic"...
Is that Imperial Techpriests literally pray to their machines to make them work.
The Imperium thinks their own technology relies on magic. Of course they think that Ork technology relies on magic.
Its very much a rabbit hole subject
I am curious how the whole LGBT+ thing si handled within the 40K I mean I am sure the servants of Slaneesh are like "Whatever floats your boat" but what about the ohter groups.
Slaanesh has nothing to do with being gay, they just care about skinning you alive to get a new excess off their list.
That was a helluva subject shift.
Yeah I was gonna say lol
I also dug up a thing about that recently. Lemme find the thing.
Not trying to be offesnive I was just curious since we were talking about LGBT+
but basically theres same-sex relationships in some of the books but its never really a subject thats touched upon because BL writers usually focus on plot more than relationships.
And I like that I have nothing wrong with LGBT+ or progressive stuff in wiritng as long as its does not criumvent or deraitl the story.
Yeah thats what i was getting at its never really a focal point in any book, its just off-handedly mentioned before moving on.
Its usually a side-character who usually ends up being in a relationship like that thoguh and never really the protagonists.
but its here and there, you won't see it that much.
Then again many of the protags don't engeage in romance in general at least in 40K.
Uhhh
the primarchs actually play a VR game at one point
they also say that their human ancestors must have been addicted to these things and forgot to touch grass

I doubt Nintendo exists in the 40K universe and apparenlty neither is PETA.
Im literally crying in the bathroom at work rn cant be me
Not all imperial animals are badly modified like that but yeah its close lol
Only available to the wealthy, and will basically be propaganda "The Imperium is so great." There's even some kind of advanced Rock-em-sock-em robot toys for rich kids mentioned in one book (name escapes me) but it also describes them as being weighted so that the Space Marine of the Ork-Marine bots will usually always win if controlled by opponents of comparable skill, as anything else would be bad for a good Imperial child's education.
Yeah this
Its very much... uh
80's level of video games?
Simple stuff with simple "gameplay"
Are xenons just commies?
No they are just aliens.
Is this the cold war all over again
I never felt like a noble gas could have a political leaning.
Ah cool
yeah 40k never really had a cold war angle
it was always against fascism
and mocking real life governments
Its important to remember it was made by english people during the Thatcher administration lol
Aye. Orks are football hooligans.
The t’au really are just the only “good guys” in 40k huh
Uhh kinda more or less
they're the least evil, but still evil.
Tau have a hidden evil side but its basically just nowhere near as bad as the Imperium
They're alright if you like being a smelly alien
Rigid caste system with no mobility across what you're born into.
Humans are the problem basically
^
And eldar
Unless you're Biel'tan
Yes
Aeldar don't want to wage war unless it can save a single Aeldari life a century or longer into the future, in which case they'll sacrifice entire planets' worth of non Aeldari lives.
Every single faction in Warhammer 40,000 is awful. They're all terrible people. All of them. Every One! So in this video let's go through them one by one and explain why, and also why that is a good thing actually.

Yeah basically thats their biggest "evil" side but when your enemy would do the same to you its kinda whatever.
Does the cult of mars have a problem with nekrons or do they like them
Though consideinf this takes place in necromunda cyberpunking the dog may acutally be the best thing for it as you can grantee probally going to live longer,.
Pretty sure I heard it mentioned before 4th ed. as well. like rogue trader or 1st (the only 2 I ever played). The lore I learned was that all orks have psychic energy. If they ALL believe something, it will affect something. So, if ALL orks believe that the vehicles on the battlefield that are red go fasta, then they will. Orks are very weird though. The fact they NEED to fight to stay alive and grow... their actions and spiritualism is literally linked directly to their physical being. This is why the bigger orks are in command. Not because they are stronger but because they have more experience and because they are older because they've survived more waaaargh! ...I digressed. Sorry.
Very much so
Nah these are all fair points
Ork lore suffers from people just kinda memeing on it and theories turning into actual "lore" in peoples heads.
Its a bad case of misinformation.
Aliens are bad
Fair enough
Admech fears the necrons but also goes "pog" at their technology
I mean Cyber Mastuff have basiclaly existed since roman times.
Nekron tech seems dope as shit ngl
It isn't helped by GW's habit of changing aspects of lore either slightly or greatly over the editions, with some codices even seeing lore removed.
All tau wanted to do was to join up for the greater good though. Eldar are on the back foot and fighting defensively too.
^ This too lol
T'au want to make the Galaxy T'au.
Also yeah if you lived like the eldar did in a literal paradise you wouldnt give a shit about humans dying either
Join the Greater Good or be swept aside by it.
Necron tech is basically so advanced that it seems like magic to us so yes lol
Laugh all you want but Good War Houdns take time to grwo and train so putting some learther or chainmail armor on them to they survive a little longer in battle does help your investment.
And it allows the really tough ones and good fighters to survive long enough to breed and pass on their genes.
that and dog armor is cool
Mastiffs are terrible warhounds
What if it is a robo mastiff
Your thinking of modern mastiffs.
Historically, the most successful warhounds (at least in the UK) was the great dane.
It used to jump over the line and attack from behind. It's the whole legend of having a "black dog" on your shoulder to describe depression etc
Whenever anyone uses the term "black dog" etc... that's generally what it's a reference to.
Really I have a friend who owns 3 and the only danger is being sat on because they think they are smaller than they are.
Well... when the danes were invading the UK, it was a very different story
breeds change over time.
Big difference between training needs from then to now.
and breeding as well.
My family spent about 20 years breeding king charles cavaliers
Thats what I am saying the Great danes back then like the Mastifs back then were a lot diff than their modern counterpary.
We managed to breed out several common genetic flaws, only to find that the Dogs were living longer and dying of other common things instead.
And there it goes my belief shattered again
Exactly breeding plays a big part that is why I can never turst these guys.
Yeah, it's like modern Dogs now. There IS such a thing as a bad dog. A Dog bread for fighting (when you take 2 violent fighting dogs and breed them together) you're not going to get a nice lap dog.
Looks can be decieving though. IF a dog comes from a long line of placid, friendly dogs but looks like an absolute unit, it could very well be a great family pet.
There are however always going to be common character traits within the breed that you simply can't get rid of.
Just like ogryns
Yes training is part of it but certain breeds to have a prtencity for violence.
Well... the siberian fox experiment proved that looks and behavior correlate. They chose which ones bread based on their agreeableness towards humans and after X generations found that they actually looked different.
Same with wolves and dogs
Ogryns and hoomans
No, felinids are a real abhuman branch. But I don't think they run around acting like domesticated cats.
So anime catgirls are a thing in 40k ......
Also there one of those things in that if i'm pretty sure is just there
We got no idea what they look like
Felinids are mentioned uhh... i think 3 times in lore
For all you know they could be like khajit
Lmao
I Identify as an inquisitor
So they could look like this.
Yeah maybe that
Yeah
their only mention has been in text form
the latest i want to say was... 3 years ago?
from Xenologis book
They wouldn't serve the imperium though, because cats are selfish and don't care about humans. Only that humans can open packets of food.
Maybe as mercenaries but the imperium (to my knowlege) doesn't employ mercs or outsiders unless rougue traders.
Also yeah the wider Imperium doesnt
This guy knows it
nobles, highborn, governors and the such however?

thats when its sussy
some mfers will outright hire orks
then wonder why the fuck after their arrangement was done now they are bombing their planet
TRULY a mystery
And Orks hire ogryns

And wonder why orks keep on appearing everywhere, then they realize that their planet has contracted the ork fungus.
I heard somewhere that the Blood Ravens stole Bjorn the Venerable Dreadnaught.
Yeah no thats a meme
That is also why hiring them as members of your rogue trader group
if they did that their entire chapter would get annihilated by the Space Wolves lol
Ends very badly
Unless you have some kind of cream designed to get rid of the spores
They will literally just keep throwing around that shit
Ah so the Blood Ravens stealing form other chapters is a meme.
Uhh okay so let me explain
that meme comes from Dawn of War 2
in that game you get random item drops between each mission
with VERY suspicious origins
down to fucking high tier imperial items and "generously donated" ones.
It never outright says they are stolen but the fact that you think they are is what makes it funny, so thats where the meme spawned from
Some of them have been said to literally have been forge a millennium ago or some shit
Yeah and i think one was a fucking primarch weapon
Ferrus Manus/Perturabo's hammer Forgebreaker or a suit of Custodian armour. A few of them are even explicitly stated to be looted, like the Aegis armour which was taken from the corpse of an allied Grey Knight which died during Dark Crusade.
least violent male fantasy
Not just the blood ravens to literally a lot of the factions in the game get amazing weaponry that are basically relics to them
Inquisitor Grigori "The Mad Monk"
So this rivalry is also a meme.
for example the Marines Malevolent almost has half the Imperial institutes hate them so they gotta resort to stealing Imperial wargear in campaigns like thieves
Entirely yes lol
Blood Ravens are really not that prominent in lore
BUT
Took some digging; clipped from Liber Xenologus.
Trazyn himself the necron actually steals a lot of shit
like to meme levels
that is real
Also yep there it is
thats their sole mention in the book
The other mention is in the 6th ed rulebook, which I have a copy of just need to dig it out.
Finally the throne of judgment got an upgrade
Neither of them have images.
Yeah its all text like i said
they get a maximum of 3 mentions in lore
I THINK the previous older 2 are literally just
"Yes felinids exist."
"They are feline abhumans."
Indeed.
and nothing beyond that
Is this canon https://warhammer40kfanon.fandom.com/wiki/Orkperium?
WORK
OF
CHADNESS
I doubt GW will produce a headswap sprue for them, either, considering the cost of machining the new clamshell.
Okay so thats the "fanon" wiki
I just saw the fanon part...
Lmao yep
the actual wiki has uhh
guilliman fighting a lord of change in the background
Last thing I painted
I knot there is an Ork Empire the Ork Empire of Octarius Its the also the reason why the Nids have not nomed everything up.
I will give the wiki some points at times because, there are information in the wiki that you really can't find for the lexicanum
Yeah the wiki copy pastes everything from a book word by word
Bro i can't see shit
its why i recommend it if you just want to read the thing
What did you paint
... a base?
developed a tremor since
My brother in gork it's an ork promoting peace
It has a base. It's not a gaming piece. It was a valentines day present for my GF
I remeberr hearing somewhere that the Imperium found a way to take out large groups of orks by using sisters of silence to drain all the waggh energy from a single ork then dropping that drained ork into a Waggh causing a volitile feedback loop.
oh and PURPLE ORKS ARE LORE FRIENDLY
Well if purple orks did exist it would only allow them to becomes better at sneaking not literally turn them invisible
i only see floating clothes
Guilliman and Yvraine barely interact at all, Greyfax and Celestine have a full audiobook where the author throws in random hints towards it
It's not canon by any means but it has far more grounds than 99% of meme lore, and Grimdankers despise the idea
Geryfax with Celestine is not even that much of a reach tbh, while Guilli and Yvraine is really just Grimdank running with a small passage
I've got bad news for you
Aside from Greyfax hating Celestine and Celly being basically the antithesis to all her beliefs
But I like it, it's cute
Oh BTW Dark Elder and the Emperors Children space marines are scared of these guys.
ah my favorite chapter the Carcharodons
Dark Eldar and the Emperor's Children aren't scared of them
they are just another loyalist chapter among many at that point
I am quoting this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUMmIcOLVR4
Today i wanted to share something a little different. In one of the newer warhammer 40k books called silent hunters there is a great moment where the space sharks capture a dark eldar and break him mentally. It offers a great insight into the psychology of it all and how they accomplished this on a lieutenant from one of the most sinister races ...
And they supposdly did the same thing to an member of the Emperor's Children in Hammer & Bolter
Thats just 1 dark eldar
And they caught them by an ambush
and that book is very bad lol
5 Space Sharks take on an entire Dark Eldar kabal which is basically pure fantasy and impossible
Had they been any chapter but Carcharodons I would agree.
harlequin custodes beast book moment
No loll
kabalites literally are equipped with space marine killing weapons
they literally just walk through their compound and kill like 50 of them, dark eldar are not that stupid
Oh yeah they also have a mother and autistic child with them which is uh... long story i guess
🍿
oh yeah dilara this is me every time you say the most up-to-date ork lore that overwrites my current memory
Basically
they do the hollywood trope of
Autistic person can see hidden pattersn and understand alien languages
YWAH FUCKIN
And the kid leads them through hidden portal gates and shit?
That movie uh
LMAO
Where some lady used an apple to figure out an entire alien language
Honestly The Predator is the most infamous one with this trope but i now other films have done it too.
The good translator
As an autisitic person myself while I agree we can figure some logical problems by ourselves better than other people and we tend to spot things others don't being able to deshiper an alien language with no refernce or codex it too out there.
Ironicly these are more represntive of your avergae high fucntioning autisitc person anti social reclusive yet hyper intelegent.
Yea they are one of the few aliens the imperium sort of respects.
Its mostly because they are actually a threat
you dont fuck with em unless you want a mini-nuke thrown at your face
Also 9/10 once they finish that mini nuke they will toss it in a pile of finsihed inventions for any enterprising tech priest to pick up and use.
The issue is they are just as likely to make an eletronic backscratcher or a machine that turns itself off rather than a mininuke or somthing that can purge chaos corruption in an 200 mile radius.
yeah they have one of those basic factions that are being carried by a character like the goffz with ghaz
and to be fair i much prefer the black dragons
Also I dont understand Kaldor Draigo, I mean lorewise he is the Doomguy of the 40K universe yet people claims he is the TF2 Hoovy giving sandviches to random people.
I'm pretty sure it's one of those cases of it's done by the memes
Who’s more advanced with technology the silly monkey or the t’au
^
Tau are advanced but Jokaero were literally engineered to be gigachad inventors
Necron to Jokaero i think would be more difficult to decide
I would youse This instead.

Also @storm jungle WHat are your thoughts on this post "Also I dont understand Kaldor Draigo, I mean lorewise he is the Doomguy of the 40K universe yet people claims he is the TF2 Hoovy giving sandviches to random people."
Basically
Draigo suffers from the fact that he was written as basically a Mary Sue character, if you read his lexicanum page you'll see why
Kaldor Draigo is the 48th[3] and current Supreme Grand Master of the Grey Knights. He wields the legendary Titansword.[4]
The latter part is because of a fan animation series called If the Emperor had a Text-to-Speech Device which basically made him a comedic relief / meme dude for jokes that can mostly do anything like a cartoon character
My only exposure to kaldor is choasgate
Hes portrayed pretty well there tbh
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic is honestly prettymuch common in 40k
Kind of
Necrons are a league of their own
they are one of the few factions where that phrase also gets used.
If you can make a device that literally alters the solar system, blades that vibrate in and out of dimensions, and basic infantry guns with the power to tear apart tanks and fortifications no problem, yeah you are definitely something
Pretty much.
Crypteks are also broken af
mfers can turn you into gold just by waving their hand

Ah yes alchemy
in SPAAAACE
But I'm going to be honest, necron weapons might be op, but if you want fun factor look no further than ork weapons
Yeah, but stabbing someone and making them teleport because you stabbed them is a funny image
also true
Zzap knife is fun
Also one of their guns is literally called the bubble chucka
It fires explosive energy bubbles
That can be rapid fired or blast a tank
yee yee ass overwatch weapons
One of their anti air weapons is a giant magnet with a magnetic pull so strong it literally pulls aircraft out of the air
That shit is hilarious
Yes, shokk attack gun also falls in that category i think

Shit like this is why I can't be mad at stuff like desolators because I bet cawl wanted to channel some ork power of imagination stuff
Bro sometimes he takes way too much inspiration
I wanna see hammer and bolter do like white scars chogoris drift
Like I want the movie redline with white scars
I wanna see grimdark and also badass rogue trader boltgun as stuff
surprisingly Hammer & Bolter has explored a lot of stuff
rogue traders has not been one of them yet
besides the first epiosde
wait
no that was an inquisitor
and the rogue trader that died liek 5 seconds in
oh
he just chose to dress like a PIMP
LMAO
with tehf ucking eldar in his conclave?
adnm the random ass inforcer lmao
encofrcer*
spelling
Also the enforcer etc are his retinue members
RETINUE thank you
i did find it weird that a roguetrader would have a death cult member in it
lady ❤️
FRRR
FR
Death Cult assassin could be attached to a Rogue Trader
beisdes it making uh, the lore for uh the fucking cards kinda werid
but only trained pykers can use it supposedly, i guess the callidus was a pyker
wait is that a thing?
I dont know my tarot that much
the tarot cards are made ofa liquid crystal that connects the user to the emperor for like 2 miliseconds
to read fortunes
damn i never knew that, Emperors Tarot as a lorepoint never really interested me lmao
i like the idea that you speak to god through vage messages
but also its OLLDLDDD lore
Divination Psyker do use the Tarot, but non Psyker also use them, just like how there are people whoread tarot
Yeha i was gonna say
with the Callidus in the episode its more uh
she knew the vindicare was the backup plan if she fucked up
so she was just trolling the Inquisitor lmao
like talking about death and arrogance and shit
oh my bad i got confsued
When you know the basics of tarot reading thats more or less what she did
Yeee all good
it is a bit random
Yeah exactly
fr
Also the whole shot for both of their retinues
Its uh... about as basic as you can get
WAITA S ECOND HE HAD THE ELDAR
Ye
who literally has no speaking lines
and just instantly dies
so why even have him around

wasnt the main guy supposed to be uh, ordo malidictus?
hereticus?
sometjing like that
yeah lol
Youd think an eldar would have to be constantly reminded to shut up
they are smarter than to speak up randomly so đź‘€
i remember in the heretic saint book the inquistior uhh, pyker lady, had to convince the inquisitor not to come iwht her to see yvraine because not only he was ordo xenos
More inquisitor inspiration
but also his clothes literally had xenos skulls stapled to it
incluidng eldar skulls
just
attacched to him
fucking lmao
lmao yeah
Before stapling the skulls of all the eldar she's gotten killed on her dress
also apparently heretic saint had a vision of 'nothingness' aka prob tyrnaids and told yvraine, and this is the first time yvraine has seen something liek that
and yvraine was like
'well when the time comes i will help you and your imperium again'
and heretic saint lady thogutht the imperium was dead
Skaven scion spotted
beaky ass
The True Felenidscion
adn there was a 2 paragraphs summarizing the fucking gulliman 4ok books
dark imperium
if i remmeber correctly
Space marine levels of bulk
im weak for beak helmets
whch i literally fucking laughed
she dropped 5 bombshells in a row on her and acts like nothing
and then disappears from the book (and lore)
Aight I'm gonna draw an inquisitor and his retinue tomorrow
Who wants to give me retinue ideas?
so, the ynnari said they are gonan help with the nids
so uh, wjne is that gonna happen
Honestly sky is the limit
a kroot medic
This is an offer to draw characters
I'm going to add uhhh
Like a guard guy and maybe one of those voidsmen from the RT set
Redesigned ofc
Wow im just cpnfronted with the fact ive never made a 40k character
i want a rogue trader army so bad, i dont care if its a bad 40k version of the outcast necromunda gang
You should! Its fun!
I got tons lol
which otcastsa rae already bad
tho Dilara is my main one
Dilara looks dope
It should look like he walked into a trap house and drafted 4 of the most debilitated crackheads he could find into the army
i dont have a 40k character besides like, flavor characters for hq models
im stuck thinkin about the water guild in necromunda
Water Guilders are fucking COOL
all 3 of them
Speaking of Rogue Trader and Inquistors
Does anyone know if there will be more origins in the final release of Rogue Trader, or if it's just going to be the 3 they teased already?
or I guess the 3 in the beta
I watched the first 30 minutes on Youtube but besides that I want to go in raw
imma i know ill regret not buying the beta
Welp guess inbetween all my other rps im gonna be writing a 40k oc. Just to say i did
i might end up buying the statue on ebay
I was just hoping for an Inquistor origin for the aesthetic
If you got 70$ to spare I got an artist friend I could recommend for 40k character art

(what I really want is for Rimhammer 40k to update for 1.4 but I'll settle for Rogue Trader)
Sadly i dont rn but send me there info in dms
Dunzo
i might get into necromudna, i really appreciate the aesthetic that liek is all completely differnet but looks like they all belong together
also they do the wasteland warfare style of 'all your models act on their own and are comepltely independent'
that too lol
I wanna make some
theres a ton of lore
necromundan rebels
yee i heard
Based on some WW2 hungary stuff
also thjey seem like they habe that 'are as hard to paint as you wanan amake it'
for osme dudes
you coudl jsut do the space marine treatmetn on these guys
if i see a gang cheap on amazon i might pick it up
but im also gonan buy the cities of sigmar army box so
yeah prob better to save up
a lgs is telling enforcers for 40 bucks so eh
Makes me think of Kultiras for some reason
its a mix of cossack/ottoman
SHE GOT THE DAGGER THING I LOVE
JAMBIYA MY BELOVED
FRRRR
Armour under cloth is peak design
i need to buy a bulk jambiya for tallarn or at least enough for killteam
Ok I've got an idea
A more tacticool version of the Arbites carapace
(they wear carapace right?)
Ok armor under cloth
I was just thinking yesterday about games that let you customize your characters clothing
Why do none of them go Base Layer (shirts, pants, dresses, etc) -> armor -> coats, capes, robes, etc
I understand why they wouldn't do it in 3d rpgs like skyrim or whatever, but I had this thought dressing my colonists in rimworld yesterday
WoW does shirt -> armor
And it has the potential to do the last one
But
It just doens't
I was mad because I have the royalty DLC and my royal is also my main melee fighter. Her royal rank made her want a cape, which means I had to take off her cataphract (end game) armor or she'd keep throwing tantrums and punch machinery with the force of an atomic bomb
Having to choose between a cape or armor also really just sucks from a character design point of view tbh. People wearing both, or armor + animal pelt, or something like that look dope as hell
yeah like that horus fellow
Quick I need help, I'm trying to throw a darktide reference at my DnD Dm, what's that spooky mystical place the characters talk about sometimes
the warp?
Is it the Archivum Sycorax? I know that's also the one map
the citatrix maledictum?
That thank you
its not a mysterious place FYI
its a massive warp scar in realspace that splits the galaxy in half
Sure, what is mysterious is your lack of social understanding tho
Spoiler, get mods
Source: literally just quality of life changes all around
Has there ever been any lore that mentions the existence of traitor Arbites?
Not really. They can do but often arbites are some of the most loyal to the imperium due to their training and upbringing. I would argue they are more likely to fall to chaos then astartes, but a lot less likely compared to imperial guard for instance.
But chaos commissars exist so its not exactly impossible, just not very common.
That makes sense.
What about admech or is turning renegade/traitor more due to xenos tech, like the necrons' gear?
Admech turn heretic aplenty
Theres various reasons for it but the most dominant one is just hating the dogma of the mechanicus which they are right to a point, because its very stupid with the "no invention" rule lol
The problem is they just go and turn to chaos and become even worse.
Actual "normal" hereteks that are non-chaos exist too but are much more rare.
Yes, on holy terra there was a heretic who was an arbites marshall following the formation of the maladictum
But thats the only example i can think of off the top of my head
A combination of cape and armor is also literally the bread and butter of the tin tyrant villain archetype
Are squigs real or meme lore
Squigs are real
I meant like the actual different versions oops
Rereading my question made me feel dumb ngl
Hair squigs are real, orks don't grow hair
Damn
and also they are also the main source of fuel for ork vehicles
oil squigs make organic promethium
Squigs and other orkoid fungi provide basically everything the orks need in any environment, which is perfect for bioengineered warriors that fight all across the galaxy
yeah and feral orks literally weaponize squigs to the point that they can match and even become a problem on the planet where there are people that have better equipment than them
i mean I wouldn't want to be in front of a charging Orkeosaurus
Literally Abbadon.
Yes, squigs can basically be a anything
Yes
its 3 Imperial Armor books with
so much
logistics and filler content
but its well written
How many books do you think could be made about the scouring or the Badab war?
Makes another book just to spite the fans
Literally any big event in 40k can easily have as many books and stuff as HH
It's just that GW can't hold on a plot point for more than a few months these days before they must move toward a new event
Very much this
The Siege of Terra was literally like a 3-4 page battle.
They expanded it to almost 10 books now
If you give a writer some points to work with they can stretch the most basic story to entire sagas.
Man, I'd love to write Badab War stuff.
The Tax War
Their ability to stretch stories is like me stretching for complaints it's f****** amazing
Did they wrap up the war of the beast or is that still being written about?
Wrapped in 2016
I'm pretty sure the stories finish because if one and i MEAN 1 beast is alive
The universe is going to be a lot more shitty
So many opportunities to write about the Amazing Adventures of Ol' Slobberchops (and Chums)
I do wonder if they'll skip over Russ, Khan and Corax leaving the imperium in the books.
Then again, maybe they'll give them each a far-well story to their 30k setting which will then become the first part of a series where each missing Primarch returns to the setting.
I'm watching through Bricky's faction vids and I wonder if he had any prep/rehearsel or script ready
Because my god, he speaks like most 40k fans write
He sounds like he's just winging it
I mean the explanations are not bad but they are also not the most detailed
Just a funny observation
He basically shows no justice to any faction that isnt Imperium lmao
And you know the sad part is? I watch a lot of people react to warhammer factions and most of them watch him
I know i have a sad life but i feel even sad for the people who watch him
His ork video is a good example of that lol
Honestly bricky is not that bad
hes just a bit obnoxious and his content just spreads too much misinformation, and the moment you mention this its "Oh we arent trying to be lore accurate"
Oh no he's a good guy but his explanations are not always the best
Wait people opt for bricky's over remleiz's overviews? O.o

Remleiz is also good but he does less lore content and more just "Heres events in lore, lets theorize"
Remleiz does theories
which is fine because its literally what his channel does
The lore ones are Arbitor Ian, Luetin, Baldermort etc. etc.
i am wondering inqisetor Grendel is qurdenting remotrly the defence of Atoma Prime with his warbnd and the PDF right ?
He's technically head honcho on the planet yeah

Oh yes speaking of lore, in aos how are ogors as a faction, are they still as good as the old world ones
Honestly literally the same
they eat
they fight
they enlist as mercs for anyone that pays them
their gigachad grindset has not been damaged
Except now there's some more flavours
I guess the one that gets always followed by the blizzard is pretty neat
I see AoS Doomposters saying they got rid of XYZ from Fantasy
But the true red pill is that
They barely got rid of anything
Yeah there really isnt much changed
becouse if there are demonhoust and beasts if nurgel how long before more demons of nurgel and the dafe gurde will show up ?
Orks still grow and fight
Ogres eat, it's just the naming conventions
And the more unrealistic setting
Technically we should be seeing lesser daemons
Death Guard won't show up cus it's not an astartes operation
right like nurglings and plage berers
Ye
but when demons start showing up the chaos space marins come to tack all the cradit , also its ether that or having a great unclan one on Atoma Prime
Fatshark have said they won't include marines so
so wander when they will add nurgling
but there is likely a warp brech on Atoma Prime mabey ?
The Admonition probably just have some witches summoning daemons
spoken like a true inqisetor
Grendel is not even in the system atm
Everything happening here is to be credited to Rannick
Also yeah, never expect Marines, Greater daemons or stuff like that, too out of the powerscale
Our characters should have died when they fought plague ogryns
A Plague Ogryn is still in the type of things that we could expect our teams to defeat, ableit very difficult
I think fighting off thousands of poxwalkers without getting infected is more extraordinary
Like there would be viscera everywhere
Yeah but as I said before that's more a gameplay/lore dissonance
I'm most sure that a canon mission has more like sedition levels of enemies around
Also people kinda forget most of the Rejects are combat veterans and are armed to the teeth by the time you reach Lvl. 30
Tbf the player characters are Not most of the Rejects to begin with
Yeah people forget you are suppose to be the luckiest few among like a hundred dead prisoners lol
Also ogryns can literally rip open tanks, so thats also a big power boost to a strike-team
so is the horus heresy series actually coming to an end when the siege of terra ends
I mean, hopefully
yea the buried dagger was the last book in the series allegeldy
siege of terra being another series technically i mean
so is it possible that GW might start a huge new thing
Adds a new modifier that straight up summons a daemon prince
I mean while technically true it's all just semantics lol
Entirely so
after the Heresy we'll get the Scouring
They said it isn’t scouring
more or less the entire prequel story of what happened following the Heresy
oh fuck is that not 40k territory?
Yeah
lmao
Kinda
Scouring is pre 40K
its post 30k
Also where was this said, for research
damn i didn't even imagine what kind of stuff might be written about the downfall of the imperium to what it is now
It was in one of the recent siege of terra things
Iirc
But HH was a huge dampener creatively
I’ll look for it
Tbf I can understand them after writing exclusively marines forever
In game we are basically special ops
seeing a picture of abnett for the release of the recent siege of terra book made me realize how old he is
Hes been around
he worked with Marvel to make the Guardians of the Galaxy
hes an actual prime boomer
Is that a slannesh unit?
LEL
Really tho
he wrote such a big thing
they seperated it into 3 books
holy shit his editor must be the most spineless mfer in existence

have you seen how massive the books are though
I have and its all filler
i was wondering how they were so massive
Damn sounds like anime
i might not even read them because they look so exhausting to go through
Honestly
Yeah its just tiring
At this point a reading order
That chops up the final 3 books is necessary
There’s already a ton of duds in Horus heresy
im sure whatever's in these books will be quoted by the community for years to come anyways
for 30 chapters
You should see how they reacted to the first Death and the Meme book
"OMG DARK KIGN"
"WHAT IS THE DARK KING?"
"THE DARK KING IS TIED TO SOMETHING"
But hey, if they write about the scouring we may finally see the Iron Cage actually being explained properly (hopefully)

it's crazy how horus heresy has taken over 40k lore
Yeah
like
go to r40klore right now
its literally nothing
but Primarchs
or 30k
Its an actual plague
Inb4 black library’s next series is about Eldar or Tau
At least the tau got Farsight
Nvm black library just said they aren’t doing a Scouring series
In the most recent interviews
About what comes after the Horus heresy
Thank fuck
I don’t want more marine stuff
Xenos players watching another marine release
i feel like that's because there's already so much stuff about what happened after the siege of terra
I don’t want to go through a several hour long video
lmao

AT LEAST show me where its at

L bozo
the responsible choice imo would have been to make the return of primarchs and primaris stuff into its own series following the conclusion of 30k. so we'd have a before, middle and after
At least most xenos books are decent
