But to basically answer you, really psyker powers do whatever the writer wants them to do, abilities that don't fit into those categories show up all the time.

And theres not really any rule saying psykers can be limited to one dicipline, its more that the psykers we do see tend to be kinda generic and dont use anything else otherwise our protagonists would just be dead. 40k lore is very stretchable as long as you have a good excuse, psykers in this case depending on their power level can kinda do anything.

it makes no sense in setting. With their tech and resources, the Imperium (especially the mechanicum) would have absolutely crushed them and taken their stuff. Hiding in the core wouldn't save them, especially since the holds would only have been a few centuries old. All those STCs? They'd be like a pinata.

They fought both sides, but literally nobody ever saw one, mentioned one, alluded to one, they never appeared anywhere at any time in anything? Come on GW pls.

Out of setting GW have just utterly failed to give them any real lore in 40k or establish them properly as part of the setting, and now they're shoehorning them into 30k for literally no reason. And this will have absolutely no followup so like....what's the point? Just to show how special the faction is?
