This one always makes me laugh for an imperial Guard vehicle
Name shit after themselves
^
Shoot missile
Enjoy the fallout my fellow troops
I wish they’d remove the bolter on it
You run like, 20 of these death strikes on table top
But then it would actually be awful lol
Jim Carrey Missile
I do like the one where it has the anti aircraft turret
BROTHER I’VE BEEN BLINDED
This mother fucking land speeder
Is the origin
Of all the stupid primaris ones
Dark Angel players must pay for their sins
Look at those plasma cannons, that is gonna be one hell of a light show
It would literally blind the marine lol
Single use turret
It’s more stupid then the primaris one
Because at least for those
The gunner isn’t gona go blind instantly
Wait, where are the legs of the front gunner ?
Everytime you shoot it lol
I remember a meme on the primaris landspeeder or ATV i think where the gunner marine is like
Don’t worry about it
"Brother just tune out the audio from your helmet!"
The Mario kart?
Exclusively for marines with missing legs
It’s like
Mario Kart is great
Kind of in that right zone between goofy and kinda neat
You can like all of these, it's not wrong to be wrong
Lol
“Now this is pod racing!” blasts all the other racers on the Tatooine track

Until you put primaris in them
Mario Kart double dash
Only blue shells modifier
Hey. Put armor everywhere. Except to protect the soldiers
Dark eldar grindset
On a vehicle that's supposed to be fast. 😬
Imho that's why the first landspeeder models work. They are ugly, but make some kind of sense
seriously though have you seen the amount of different space marine captains
Lol
this doesnt even include the primaris variants
why the FUCK is there a model with rules specifically for a weapon
Funny cause it's the one I like the most lol
this is out of date
btw
The master-crafted bolt rifle guy got rolled into the normal gravis set
what's phobos armour
Stealthy marine armor used for primaris marines like the reivers and specific stealth units
i thought scouts were meant to be the stealth guys
There's more stealth now for full primaris marines
phobos is them ripping off eldar again
because they realised striking scorpions could sneak around in 'eavy armour
Primaris marines' deal is basically
Weapon type exists
Make a unit on it
Reavers are suppose to be "terror/sabotage troops" but the lore literally said in the past thats the job of the fucking scouts

do ogryns get any chainswords or such in the lore?
Ogryn space marines were a thing so probably
… since when?
I heard from another lore nut that they had them
But they were too uncontrollable and strong they stopped producing them
These?
Different things, also they weren't that uncontrollable, it was just hard/frowned upon to produce them
Oooh
Ogryns can use anything they want
their weapons just tend to be limited because tabletop
or just break them because ogryns
So those aren't really ogryn space marines, there's no genetic imprinting, they are however called Charonites and a Charonite was an Ogryn who was, from memory, augged to shit, as in those weapons are no coming off their hands, and the masks would pump in combat drugs like Frenzon.
While not being "Ogryn Space Marines" they were designed to kill Astartes during the Horus Heresy
Bonus fun fact for you, they were apart of the Solar Auxilia
Yeah its all in the wiki, they dont have too much lore
well this is one hell of a chapter intro

but also yeah BL uses those words here and there
the only thing you wont hear is "fuck"
im just imagining ben counter trying to think of a good start to the chapter
he just had to emphasize the two names
Does this symbol for the 8 winds of magic imply the wind across from one another are opposed? (Light and shadow, death and metal)
It KINDA depends
most of the Winds the Imperials use tend to be balanced in nature since wizards will only go for a singular wind and focus on that
its the rogue psyker equilavent of fantasy sorcerors that take and use the more sus winds like death for nefarious purposes
there were parts that of the production that were being debated as tech heresy we don't know what parts however
Primaris are literally great value Aspect Warriors
in terms of their units

Yeah this was a meme when they were noticed to literally stealing what aspect warriors do.
Primaris on the tabletop function nothing like they do in lore lol
actually
in lore its established they got an obvious downside because they are trained to use hyperspecific weapons
but like
Its a gun
why are you acknowledging this
you point and shoot it
also this literally has lore against it as well

In the 9e codex
Primaris Plasmacessors when they run out of ammo and dont know how to pull the trigger on any other weapon
but yeah its really silly how they function on the tabletop
and its literally just to make it easier for new players to make a "choice"
yeah its why i mis the firstborn
tbh
you know when like
firstborn are suprisingly
Tactical Marines
still better
were actually Tactical
also Sternguard at least finally like
are like firstborn
while being primaris sorta
they're in MK10 armor so I'm gona call them primaris

but they actually have loadout variety
pretty much
The one exception is this edition but it seems like whoever wrote the eldar index had a hardon for wraith units

and hates aspect warriors
Volkite(not happening)
Heavy weapons too i think
grav(not happening)
what else hm
yeah devastators
or an assault squad equivelent

There's a rumor about that lol
there's gona be a striking scorpions vs scouts killteam set
which is gona be funny as shit
bcs there's only gona be like 5 eldar
and like 12 marines
Yeah we got a kill-team tease with that with the threat from the voiceover being designated as aeldari
also bro
scorpions would literally
eat scouts for lunch

They got Mr Krabs claws that can tear apart power-armor
unironically its prolly gona be in the scouts favor from a gameplay pov
bcs of the quantity of bodies
Oh extremely so
but I have no clue how fast they're gona make scorps lol
also that
which is kill unit -> kill unit -> kill unit
but GW is finally trying to make a more elite team again
which is neat
yeah and KT has proven to be basically "Model/Army Experiment: The Game"
and its been very positive so far
Yeah
the Elucidian Starstriders walked so these guys could run
LEL
but thats bcs they barely made any lol
Yeah because the minis are just not itneresting
the dark eldar one is STILL OUT OF STOCK
and the cultists were pre-existing
LEL
to be fair
its not even like its super rare
the minis in that box slap
oh absolutely
I'd say I want new kabalites
but I think a haemonculi player would literally flay me alive
bcs haemonculi covens are still like mostly resin lol
vect hasnt gotten a mini since 1923
and both of them lowkey are uh
very boring as characters
Urien is just the oldest goddamn eldar alive
and is incredibly evil
and Lelith is just archetypical gladiator
Malys and Vect should get minis
considering THEY GET MENTIONED SO FUCKING MUCH
💀
Malys also literally
gets mentioend constantly
in the new kill team book
FUCK SAKES
it also doesn't even fit him
like
personality wise lol
why is it so small
it was smaller then the venom mini back then
Lmao yup
if vect gets a mini
it pretty much has to be big centerpiece one
something akin to Katakros
also I'm really sad the venom doesn't have its forgeworld upgrade sprue anymore
where you could glue a giant fuck off shuriken cannon to the back of it lol
god the succubus and archon minis could do with an update
and hameonculis
actually
no wonder 99% of the archon's I see on the tabletop are converted lol
objectively better in every way tbh
yeah i got no idea why they scrapped it
Resin
💀
bastards
19 goddamn characters
1-2 per faction in 7e
just to kill finecast ones that looked fine
I mean, we could be getting finally a good reason for why the warp ghosts got futuristic gear for horus heresy standards lol, they stole Cawl's first blueprints
the current haemonculi, succubus and archon minis are all from 7e
and they uh don't look good

these 2 minatures came out in the same year
They literally sell you 4 scions to use them with lol
its just to pad out the team
also the team sucks
Also even funnier the Sister of Silence they get is just an objectively worse version of the talons of the emperor teams one
the team is honestly just an absolute mess of ideas
I REMEMBER
People losing their shit at that
because the old inquisitorial stormtroopers were legit great
and you just get
reskinned kasrkin
fuck off

I'm unironically upset
at that KT lol
its so fucking bad
the minis aren't even that good
they're so damn incoherent
Wait what
They had the scion models didn't they?
yeah
this was the "special" scion attache lol
the funniest thing
this isn't even the right color scheme
they just took an existing scion color scheme and called it a day lol
Oh so I wasn't the only one that already saw the scheme
Inqusitorial Scions ARE SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE THIS
Like they wanted to make a generic inqusition kill team sure
I'm okay with that
But holy fuck the execution was godawful
I mean, tbf all scion regiments are either black and red, teal or green
THESE were the OG Inquisitorial stormtroopers
I am aware
but there is an offical color scheme for Sicons attached to inqusitors

and I can't find it now
because I have brain damage
This is the only Inquisitorial stormtrooper i trust
yeah thats what the minis i posted are based on
they had the box helmet
its great
now you get uh
(also heavy bolter stormtrooper)
And also the old stormtroopers actually used hot shot and not hellguns lol
they're the same damn thing
from a murder the target perspective
They use them interchangeably so much I give up on differentiating between the 2
my favorite thing regarding this subject
is going to the lexi and seeing this
look at the fucking citations

same book
you love to goddamn see it
anyone who insists on one name is accurate and the other isn't I'm sorry book say no
Nurgle should win honestly
Waiting for the day nurgle wins the race to owning 40,000 warhammers
Lol, I was mentioning it more as them being the only models using hot shot packs
There is another
new kasrkin sharpshooter has it
except it got introduced in gallowdark which is on board a ship
fair
I kinda like old and new designs for the Tempestus Scions
I want the old stormtrooper kit to be updated
an an actual like
Inqusition army be possible on the tabletop again lol
I think a phy ogryn would be pretty cool
They are becoming more common as the setting go on because of the opening of the riff or something I don't remember but they are becoming pretty common
Oh damn
If you want to know more detail just ask one of the more common people here, my brain is a bit fuzzy when it comes to other lore not related to orks
Lol
Could an ork beat the god emperor in a nude handfight?
Well physically I don't know how strong the emperor was
Because that ******* would probably use magic more than anyone else
Damn
Depends on how big the ork is
You mean the one in the beast?
Yeah and it was strong enough to rival vulcan, the tallest of the emperor's son
I really wish I liked the beast Aries series more but I actually got far more into the head assassin dealing with the council of dip shits than anything else in the series.
Except a few of the basically one shot stories like the woman who's gonna ||VB her own world|| and the iron warriors and imperial fists been bros for once.
The main story of each book was really forgettable
the atoma water cartel not doin' it for ya?
how are you in this server
Huh???
i am genuinely curious
I’ve been in this server since like, the game was announced or something
you don't play dark tide you said, so how did you stumble upon this server
Oh I was excited for trh game then o realize I need to buy more ram
So I put it off, so o put it off, so I put it off
And here j am with 8 ram still
well at least you didn't feel despair when the game turned out to be not the best condition
I mostly just play like, single player puzzle games and rogue likes
Don’t look at my hours on payday 2, I played that game when it was terrible.
Nothing can be as bad as like,
50% of payday 2 history
When did they release payday two again
More of a first person shooter guy or action games
Also sandbox games that I can just **** around with
The only current game I'm playing is Roblox, but it's mostly with friends and the game I'm playing in Roblox is not you know dumb enough that I just wanna throw it out of the window
I mostly also look for new workshop mods for gmod or people playground
are these supposed to be the mechanicus?
No
They are a noble class merchants on necromunda who control and manage the water supply
not gonna lie the one in the front really has the mechanicus aesthetic
Well they are willing to work with/hire gangs to protect them while they extract water from corpses
Due to the limited amount of drinkable water
least horrific source of water in the hive city
can't they just collect piss water
speaking of necromunda is there any chaos cults around the place seems like a perfect breeding ground for that type of thing
They do
But there literally isn’t enough water
And they control all of it
god bless the free market
Let me guess if you accidentally **** with them you can magically wonder why your water suddenly disappeared
Oh nah they will hook you up to a device and extract your water from your body
Oh yes torture definitely a better alternative than dehydration
If I play necromunda I might make a water guild themed hang
I already made an ork gang, but since this is necromunda they rarely show themselves, they often work as mercenaries
Plenty
There's one thats playable
the Corpse grinder
But since this is necromunda, they are kept in check by the sheer fact that this place is practically one of the most dangerous places in the Galaxy
Yeah
is it just me or are astartes "mechs" getting ridiculous
i have no idea when the centurion came about but i can't be the only one that finds it dumb as hell
it feels new because i never see it anywhere
and yes those are awful, but the grey knight's dreadknight is worse
Centurions would be fine if the legs were longer and not that stumpy. Seen pretty good looking modifications of them
on artwork it looks pretty cool on the table top not so much
and then there's those literal dreadnoughts that are piloted by normal primaris marines like the alien cargo lifter thing
yeah that's exactly the issue with the legs, most artwork have longer legs
Eh, Invictor is pretty decent in the end
dude has a heavy bolter as a pistol
that's very cool
That's still nothing compared to the dread knight
that one is literally a baby carrier
it's fine
I don't mind the redemptor I mean at least you know it follows the tradition of you put the dead guy inside the machine
only funny thing about it is that it's supposed to be stealthy
And then invictor looks like your average Mech
why even have a dreadnought if it the tomb part of it is unecessary
invictor?
yea
It's supposed to be a stealth Mech
im talking about the one piloted by a normal primaris
You know what I'm gonna let it go
the thing is invictor isn't a dread, just a drivable mech, I'd argue lorewise the thing isn't as natural to pilot as being hardwired to a dread with the positive side that you don't need to be mortally mangled and entombed within it
look at him with his biggest iron
amazing
and it can use it in melee
yess
Yeah but since they don't really have any actual rideable mechs for marines they just had to base it on the dreadnought chassis
well vehicles can use weapons in melee anyways
Don't say that I don't want that thing to look more religious
or another branch
ehh, they're fine with their nundams
i just dont get the point of putting a marine in a mech
I am wacking you with a snazzhammer for that
why'd you put a marine in a tank
exactly i dont get that either
This is the imperium they will do anything to show they are superior which means they will do impractical giant war machines because they can
i get the APC's and shit
well first and foremost, more units to field in a cool game of 40k, secondly more armour is always more armour with extra firepower as well
i just wish GW could give the same treatment to other armies
Space marines are the main selling point of warhammer that's going to be a long while, the only reason why orks have orktober is because the army sells decently enough
The other factions don't have such luxury
It's always the turn of the dice who will get the next model
i feel like it's entirely a feedback loop of GW promoting the shit out of marines and then people buying them
they're also the easiest army to paint for kids which are like 80% of the customer base
their moms buy them
in a recent podcast with former GW employees said as much, the biggest portion of sold products are for forty-something women
buying video games is cheaper than this hobby
We chat to the veteran hobby product designer Tom Hibberd! If you've used Citadel tools, paints, contrast paints, brushes, dice, chances are this chap had a hand in designing them. We cover lots of topics like why doesn't Games Workshop make a wet palette? Why is Corax White so bad? And much much more.
Tom has his own Airsoft channel please go ...
it's a fun little podcast with the former painting presenter Peachy,he has cool people visit it every now and then
silly clickbait titles though
Tbh
GW’s contrasts are the one of the only paints I’ll buy from them
They’re by far the best in the market for that sorta stuff
Yeah, they talk a lot about them in this episode besides all the other stuff I mentioned prior
They spent like 5 years designing them
like every video from this channel is full of comments about the titles
It feels that way tbh
As much as I love Vallejo
Xpress cannot compare
Because dreadnoughts are meant to preserve the marine
The invictor is quite silly tho
that's what im saying
And dreads are quite rare in lore
And the invictor is even rarer
Bcs it’s like
A scheme by cawl to get rid of his extra stubbers

rare my ass that's just an excuse for writers to ignore the incredibly useful device that could fix a lot of problems
Dreads are rare tbf
The admech would rather produce legio cybernetica parts
Then dreadnought ones lol
Cawl needing a quick cash scheme to be able to buy more stuff
Lol
I was spamming them in DoW, lol and it felt so wrong
Tbh if DoW gameplay was lore accurate
I’d have killed the entire blood ravens chapter

if they're so rare then why are there so many dread variants
Literally becuase they sell well
Lol
Cause space is pretty big and GW like money
To be fair those production facilities are not lore accurate because i'm pretty sure they won't have that much space marines bodies lying around
There’s like 20 dreads max per chapter
On average
Exceptions being iron hands and some other weirdos
that's a lot
can you imagine 20 dreads on a battlefield
Think ludonarrative dissonance applies here too
Yes
Because the eldar do it all the time
imagine 20 leviathan dreadnoughts 😳
Most chapter are on multiple wars at the same time, and the war we see are smaller parts of bigger ones, like no sense putting the 20 Dread at the same place
But if we take tabletop to be accurate to lore
Levis were rare and precious during the Heresy already
Then every chapter has 3 of them
With heresy era weapons intact
And 3 contemptors with volkite

Finally a dreadnought with knees.. 👀
tell that to horus when he virus bombed like 3 of them
When I was playing it I didn't know much about the universe so I though they were just regular mechs with normal humans inside
tell it to Khan as well when he Batista Bombed one from a space elevator
i like that they don't have those dumb helmet things
The executions in that game were just pure gold
This one is always funny to me with how alive the wraith lord looks
Trying to rip off the defilers head lol
I also like some when heroes, like chaplain kills bigger enemies, like bloodthirster
Vent’s Dias? It was the same size as a raider
The venom wasn’t out then either
What's funny about this one is it's a killer can
Wait you’re right
I always get the 2 mixed up
Killa kans funny
it's always funny that it wasn't a Deff Dread
arent those things piloted by grots
A really angry grot yes
a fucking grot kills a dread
He believed really hard
can you imagine him coming back to the warboss
Promotion inbound lol
Killa kans have Gretchen, deff dreds have orks
Also this sync kill is cool
But most of the dread/vehicle sync kills are weird
Bcs they should totally be fine
Like the dread just gets it’s armed hacked off
I wanna know more goofy Warhammer fantasy/40k food
Ambull?
Ambull meat is considered super tasty in 40K lol
Only issue being the ambull can tunnel through pretty much anything
And can crack open a tank
Fire wine in Fantasy, it's a wine that if you're not a Magician or similar, or have one in your ancestor you just immolate
True, ambots are cool
Lmfao
yep, so imagine being a 100 year old space marine warrior and getting killed by a goblin mushroom that got shoved into a metal trash can
Oh yeah the tau have a green rice like food
his ancestors are not looking too proud right now
just imagine the other marines seeing that
"did ancient alexis just yet violated by a screaming pile of junk?"
Cheese
yes, yes he ******* did
Oh yeah dark eldar enjoy eating Medusae “fruit”. These fruit are produced by a Medusae when they feed in memories and consuming one allows you to relive them
@echo vault
They’re described as sweet and pulpy
i forgot to mention earlier that a deathstrike fires its load in my book
a vortex missile
Night Goblins make beer out of Mushroom, which usually make them crazy (Crazier than before)
Oh yeah some night goblins in AoS broke into the realm of death to look for new mushrooms to get high off of
The Not French hunt and eat Giant Snails
Swag
Hm
Technically most dark eldar characters are immortal
I’m suprised they don’t get swarmlorded
Most Dwarf alcohol can also serve as fuel for machineries
Oh yeah most poor dark eldar are cannibals lol
Ussingen made cheese
When tech priests hold dinner parties for those who still have mouths people who can’t eat are given bowls of scented liquid instead of meals
i love how militarum generals hate space marines
because when you actually think about it, space marines are probably the worst fighting forces to actually win wars
Hm
I think it’s pretty funny that all the dark eldar minis and units are all of the upper caste lol
Then again I suppose that applies to a lot of factions
except guardsmen
for officers yeah
Not for vostryans or the vitrian dragoons
They both draft from the upper class of their planet
Tanith arguably drafted all the richest people in that world

There's these guys also
True
tanith doesn't have a world L bozo
There’s almost certainly gona be some guard regiment that exclusively recruits rich people
Or people in the upper classes
Regarding what factions aren’t made up mostly of upper caste people
Tau, Guard(on average),Votaan, Craftworld eldar, Orks(sorta),
suppose space marines as well for they're just made from stolen/drafted/selected kids
Tbh once they’re space marines they’re upper caste
A lot of Ultramarines are pulled from Noble houses
you dont see tau civilians in the game do ya
Fire warriors aren’t super high on the totem pole
They’re career soldiers sure
But they usually aren’t very wealthy or have any real political sway
Imo by that logic druhkari kabals are made up of poor people
also you're forgetting GSC, they're nothing but lower caste workers and laborers
yeah but gene stealers dont have the gen 1 guys
the ones that are still fully human
That’s not part of the generation cycle actually
🤓
Gen 1 genestealer hybrids are pretty inhuman
every genestealer cultists has the nid gene, those that look human are just 4th or 5th generation so it doesn't show as well
isn't pure strain just a genestealer
stop stealing my jeans
of that note, did you see in the new genestealer reveals the community article title for them "Hide your trousers"
Yeah but gen 5 hybrids are purestrains
I see
i think i asked this before but what if a genestealer gene steals a space marine
Gen 4 are just humans with ridges
Space marines don’t have sex so
prove it
The only part that applies is the mild hypnosis
Do you want me to get the excerpt of a inqusitor saying a marine has a large you know what
well it was theorized (in-lore) that the hiveguard are from space marine genestock
And it’s a shame he can’t use it lol
can't or won't
Both prolly
Marines have 0 sex drive
The emperor does not like the idea of his test tube children making more children
what about custodes
They also have 0 sex drive
They can form friendships
this is why the horus heresy started
But not a romantic relationship
you cannot remove sex from a man and expect everything to be ok
The Primarch had sex drives no ? Fulgrim at least
His marriages were for political stuff
i can't believe that ferrus manus is confirmed to be coming back next
For HH ?
for 40k
In real life
leaked info
Honestly if all the Primarch got tanks named after them it would be strange but not that weird
except the baneblade has its own fucked up name convention
Take the Leman Russ variants and the Dorn tank and you have the rest https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Astra_Militarum_Vehicles_(List)#Tanks
This is a list of the vehicles and vehicle upgrades available to various Astra Militarum regiments.
For a list of aircraft commonly used in conjunction with Guard operations, see Imperial Navy Vessels (List)#Aircraft.
name them damn it
just give me a couple
hehehehheh you fucked up buddy
destroyer and thunderer aren't tanks
they're self propelled guns
Baneblade, Banehammer, Stormlord, Stormhammer,
does anybody even buy baneblades and its brothers
from what i hear they're useless
I've seen a few
haven't checked how good they're in 10th, I'd recon pretty great given how much better all vehicles are across the board
well if they're not too expensive pointwise
Was the dark age of technology Hi-Tech or it also looked like a retro-futuristic medieval age? 👀
a bit in between I think given the few relics from that era we know of
Depend on the area, but most likely Higher tech
I am not sure I know them, could you provide any examples of such?
Warhammer 20k wen
The Dark Age of Technology, also known as the Age of Technology, was the zenith of mankind's scientific knowledge and technological power. It was a golden age of exploration and innovation, where scientists, engineers, inventors, and innovators became new gods.[15]
It spanned from M15 to M25.[15]
Even millennia later mankind has not been able to...
Thanks a bunch.. So sad there are so few pictures 😢
🫡
Consider it Hi-tech but with a more rugged look
Most of the time
Then you get the weird stuff wich can literally be anything
As it ranges from stuff like the Interex centaur power armour to the IH keys of hel that turns into a t-800
To then move toward stuff like the Votann, men of iron and ecc.
Jantine Patricians come to mind, and I read about the Scintillan Fusiliers just the other day who might be an even better example.
0r there's lots of noble/rich only regiments
Dark Age of Technology relics are described as looking quite futuristic compared to the neo-gothic aesthetic the Imperium has going on. I just re-read First and Only and the Men of Iron STC that Gaunt's Ghosts find is described as a large cube, the size of a vast chamber, made out of polished chrome and such.
there's also an old comic that depicts Men of Iron: https://imgur.com/gallery/278hW
similar in some ways to Necrons.
Kinda look like an Ursarax and a Thallax tbh
It's funny cause men of iron also can be pretty much anything that has a robot body and ai
there's also a surviving Man of Iron in more modern lore, who looks like a sort of retro-futuristic example of what people thought robots would look like back in the early days of sci-fi
Like how the Blackstone fortress guy is one, or how ironkin are one, or how the weapons of mass destruction the dark angels have on their ship is also one
Ye that the BF one
More similar to stuff like the Ironkin in design
oh right!
votann and ironkin are obviously the most recent examples we have of what DAoT technology would have looked like.
you can see the similarities.
Yep, but you also have to consider this is DaoT for new colonies
Kinda like how exodites use lower grade stuff than standard eldar
right, fair.
(ench why stuff like the leman russ is DaoT)
not an example of the fanciest technology you would have found on Earth during that time.
reminds me a bit of how Abnett described the STC in First and Only, but more stylized to include faces in its design.
As I remember someone explained that it uses an imperium chassis but inside an archaic AI from the dark age of technology
the Votann use an Imperium chassis? where would they have gotten those
Van Saar is one pretty good example of such equipment from that era given they have a working albeit corrupted STC
Why does everyone who has knowledge of warhammer mention that there are cat girls
Are there actual cat girls?
There are cat people, but we don't know what they look like
Oh funky
felinids
That was a respond to the picture of a Man of Iron
they were mentioned in the 6th edition rules, and then not brought up again for a long time, before 2021's liber xenologis (a book written as if it's a treatise on alien species) mentions them again, reinforcing their existence within the modern canon.
oh right
I don't know much about the battle-automata but you might be right
this unit has a similar design language as the UR-025 man of iron
Ye, kastellans actually do have a full ai version too
the Itinerants, wich are basically Kastellan freeblades
that's cause like, 70% of imperial stuff is daot tech that came from damaged stc's, votann are there as a faction exactly to explore the possibility of imperial tech without the broken stc's and also without the ADVANCING/MODIFYING THE TECH LEVEL IS HERESY Bit
ench why votann have bolters, power armour and stuff like that
UR-25 is confirmed to use an imperial chassis as a disguise
he doesnt have a "true" form persay
thanks!
Np, its a common misconception since its only explained in his short story lol
he basically arrives with like 2-3 techpriests who are suppose to be his owners that suspect nothing before he murders them

based
I hope UR-25 makes Mars great again
Speak of the devil
He’s in the second game listed here
Ayo new firstborn model
big headed ass
Why does he look like he came out straight from dawn of war graphics
How well does a Predator hold up against a Lascannon?
kinda depends on the writer, some times lascannons are barely enough to damage a civilian space transport
like in the Cain novels a flurry of lascannon shots did nothing to a civilian transport ship meant for re-entry capabilities before a lucky hit to the cockpit window
and that didn't kill it, just scared them off
this is why autocannons are better
that's probably even less likely to anything tbh
it'll look scary doing it though
And how about a demolisher cannon?
if you hit with it then yeah
its an anti-armor weapon too so yep
Looks like the guy from the first dawn of war trailer lol

Asha ends up getting into an argument with another member of Inquisitor Solomon Al'Ismir's forces. Asha's general attitude could be summed up as 'Sensibly Optimistic'; she plans for the worst and hopes for the best. Some soldiers will likely call her naïve or stupid for the thoughts she may voice. But she has a response to that.
"Cynicism isn't hard. Pessimism isn't hard. Those are some of the easiest human reactions. Optimism is hard. Being a part of the solution is even harder. I'm optimistic not because I'm naïve but because it's a hard thing worth doing."
Now I've got the urge to write a Lord Inquisitor and his personal retinue to practice regular humans
That's valid!
Where When
The combat arena stuff
Oooh right
its a good mini
Space Marines less so, kill them
Bastion from Overwatch is also good
I like it, but I don't really consider it to be the same thing, like both a good in their own way
Tbh
But this one I like cause I like inscts
I’m glad they got rid of the dick and balls gun
Statistically the bio/pyrovores have caused a large number of people to figure out what vore means
I mean people should learn about carnivores omnivores and herbivores in elementary school right
People usually don’t put the dots together
The ball gun was the best thing about the biovore
I mean, how about i bombard you with acid balls
Just for lore?
Very few
Most are hobby/creator/RP servers with lore channels methinks
Stay away from RP servers

the only RP i do is not allowed in this server
I know who you know
you read me like a book
Mostly for major factions
a lot of them are filled with chuds, fascists, or just dead
Majorly just morons
^
lore channels either have sensible gamers like us
Or a horde of imperium apologists with fascist tendencies
The lore channel is nice in the 40k one
pretty chill
the mods also hate facists
so
this is the biggest downside of most 40k servers yeah
try saying half the stuff you do here and it usually doesnt end well
i guess we're like 5 people in this channel so the weirdos stay away
I'm there now, and it's chill mostly
Except when
The Redditors show up

also any 40k lore channel that hates the r/40klore subreddit
is a good one

how this community gets anything done is beyond me
"Nu blackstone fortress no eldar! Eldar not have anything to do with blackstone, blackstone necron!"
"Who's Vaul?"
Blackstone is like
Lmao god that sentence
objectively not a necron only thing
actually gave me PTSD
The Imperium uses it now as well
yeah
It took a bit to explain this to him
I do not count tech priests
gluing it onto their melee weapons
"The Talismans of Vaul"
^that one
Eldar are also a psychic species
so them using any kind of blackstone makes no sense
According to the 3rd ed Codex necrons it's eldar
thats
"lore is fucky"
A good chunk of warhammer 40K lore
a bit out of date unfortunately
Hey it got the guy to shut up
LMAO
but yeah current blackstone is just "anti-warp material"
but still I'm suprised Dark Eldar don't get used as cool baduy that gets killed and can come back
bcs like
they're immortal
whos Hivelord
You mean like orks or tyranids?
kek
also nids, necrons and orks are literally the "bad guy swarm" faction
they are easier to villainize
Swarmlord or the avatar of khaine
how dare you call orks bad
tbf the dark eldar being a society of slavers are pretty easy to villafy lol
Also I encountered some guy that was obsessed with christianity in 40k and yapped to me at length about how he'd write a fan fiction about a Christian imperium
villafy yes but they arent a massive army
all its followers got exterminated
they are raiders
was it the same guy here who said IRL genocide was ""debatable""
and that he was a pureblood roman
