Hey everyone, so I'm writing up a script for a lore video on Darktide and finding relevant lore has been kinda hard as the wiki pages for the characters are bare or just very short in regards to the Hive, World and Domain.
I've scraped together all the Wiki bits I can find and am rewriting them to be more substantial and pleasant to listen to.
If anyone has any lore bit I should add they've found in the game or anything could you let me know?
Also, something I need confirmation on is if the collars all rejects wear are bomb collars or not. I think they are but I can't find any confirmation anywhere.

Hey everyone, so I'm writing up a script for a lore video on Darktide and findin...
The Summary is very surface because as others have said we dont know much about the game, Atoma Prime the planet itself has some lore on the lexicanum if you want to read it along with the Moebian 6th, but the general deal is that the regiment was recalled home (being the most elite fighting force of the sector) to deal with the local uprising of the Admonition Cult (the dregs you fight ingame) before launching a trojan horse attack and revealing they had switched sides and catching the entire planet by surprise, these were mostly made by rigged to blow trains judging from the trailers with chemical concoctions that turned a lot of the population of the lower hive into poxwalkers.
Now they are fully helping with the uprising alongside the cult and fighting globally around the planet, our missions are more spec ops related at hitting tactically important spots within the Hive while theres an active war going on in the other sides of the planet.
Most lore we got so far is that the Moebians and the Cult used the Water Cartel to take over most of the Underhive before betraying them alongside any other criminal organisation as well as that they had inside help from the Hive for the surprise invasion, very possibly by another noble house.
The general "lore" for the game gets revealed as we go even if its not too much, at the moment our job is to keep distrupting the Cult and the Moebians to give us an edge on the war, for now no help is coming due to the effects of the Great Rift on the Moebian Domain so we are completely alone.
You can also find some short stories official BL authors have written for the game pre-release

it should be noted that the cult's only managed to secure a segment of the hive, as mentioned several times in the verious intro dialoges for starting the mission. the conflict is restricted toon chunk of the hive and the badlands extending from it, where we presume the bulk of the traitor guard is fighting.
