yeah
who all have a pre-set uniform color
i do like KT tho so not complaining
they didn't use the green one
OH YEAH
that was constantly used by FW
A command squad style unit would be cool for necrons tbh
I was originally thinking the killteam would end up being one
The cryptek and his retinue
Ah nah Kill-teams are always uh
well as the name implies kill-teams
aka spec-ops squads
also god that immortal is huge
Counter argument, the rogue trader one is an HQ
TRUE but like
the rogue trader one was made for 1.0
in that the boss is actually there
which was very different
also that
Ayyy kasarkin
Yeah the Starstriders were pretty much "we walked so the other kill-teams could run"
if they don't have an existing paint scheme for a killteam esque faction
they aren't gona repaint them or paint new ones
its why the pathfinders are Vior-la
And I have no clue how gw made it barely work with the navy
Navy breachers are really good rn funnily enough
they counter harlequins and custodes
Gotta get that Necron KT set and make Mentep and Lysikor out of it
Like for 5 minutes for some weird reason it technically couldn’t buff breachers on table top
But they fixed it so,
In 9th if was very not worth it because its 2 agent kill teams
this is prolly my favorite killteam like terrain piece
But that was expected
its so goofy
Oh yeah it has rules doenst it
It got taht one wheelchair from dead rising 2
lmao
sdlkflksd
Chuck Greene on his way to fix the golden throne on a fucking wooden toolbench
pain
He’s about to add a laptop and make a nuke
They edge highlighted everything lmao
the scheme is nice
In the same way demonettes look ass
Didn't know they made mini's on college sorority groups.
It works fine with Eldar I think
the old archon looked better imo
Orks can kinda do whatever they want if they want it enough
and I love it
I forgot did the boats come with witches models too? I know it did with the normal pirates
They do
Holy shit he’s hot cool
The boat is insane value if you don't wana have wyches and kabalites hanging off it
In terms of being good units?
The boat wyches to the foot ones
I’ve been scrolling eBay waiting for people to doom selling their armies
it really stands out for the warriors bcs these guys were the last hand designed minatures ever
there's some lost charm in that
but kabalite warriors were the final hand sculpted mini
My broke ass wanting to buy one squad
Same
I've had all my money taken twice this month
I can’t fucking 3d print because my hosue has zero ventilation
My working ass not having the time to paint 4 armies I've already bought
you can 3d print once/s
I feel that, also just not being willing to even spend that much money
The corners of my room still smell like resin
The people I work for don't pay me and also take my money
And it was a fail print too lol
Wow
Oh shit imma sleep so I can actually do my college work tomrorow lol
Do that
This is what the Primaris should have been.
;-;
I think I'll have Asha and her Railjack + docked Orbiter, after an unplanned Void jump courtesy of Manny, be spat out by the newly birthed Cicatrix Maledictum... thankfully well away from any of the combat zones.
I still find it funny that Tenno Railjack use a Finger to control their void jumps (Reliquary Drive)
Or maybe I'll never explain why. Hmm...
Another big question, which Asartes Chapter meets a Warframe first?
Also yeah, either you make a point in space where like, void and warp are mixing together or shit like that or just pop them into it Duviri style
Whoever's nearby
Maybe these goons
Oh God having a warframe dropped on the Nachmund rift would be a shitshow as everyone is punching each other into oblivion, I like it
Just chaotic enough for them to maybe not question it
Salamanders? They often focus on protecting Civilians, so maybe a Warframe helps them out by splitting the enemies' attentions?
Since Nachmund is just this
The battle opposing Ron (Will Ferrell) and his friends (Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner) to the other news teams (Jim Carrey, Harrison Ford, Will Smith, Kanye West, Amy Poehler…) begin.

Also incredibly Stubborn
Annoyingly so
Tbh i think the main problem is that if anyone is gonna see the frame and not the drifter/operator, it will be most surely treated as either daemon or xeno
Fair point...
Imo you should introduce them just as DE did before making them space nuclear bombs, give them back their space ninja unseen boogeyman vibe
Meeting radical ordo xenos or Stygians is probably your best shot for non hostile stuffs
Or yeah, something like a really radical Inquisitor or hell, an outright rogue trader too
Block
Have them meet a modern Cabal or something just for the lolz
I can imagine answers that aren't just "Durr heresy" are hard to find
Either one could also have an 'eccentric' Magos in their employee. A Magos who is fascinated by the 'biomachina' construct. Particularly when it becomes clear that they are not an Abominal Intelligence.
Yeah a Stygian
Literally just a biologis
Stygians are crazy
All the other Admech hate them because they steal all the alien toys
Isn't that Xenarites?
Anyhow as always, just remember to Never show the Helminth to any imperial persona
Also have you thought already about possibly changing warframe powers to match the dissonance of warp and void?
Isn't that Ryza that is quite Xenarite permissible ?
Orbiter is 'PRIVATE QUARTERS'.
Ryza is the run down one with tons of experimental gear
Stygies VIII
But the xenarite sect got thrown into the undergrounds of the planet by the inquisition
Stripmine the tomb NOW
Videx was more the Cult side of the Admech, while Scaevola was the loot gremlin side
Kephra best though
Like idk, limbo trying to do his dimensional abilities and accidentally summoning a daemon
The two skitarii questgivers are based
Ye, always went for skitarii/scaevola missions when possible
Which is the second ?
Khepra is often considered/named as a Skitarius (Though I don't think she really is)
Dominus are Magos (Or Tech Priest?), can Skitarius become Tech Priest ?
Skits cant become techpriests no
they are basically stuck to their job
To be a techpriest you need to be a part of the main cult mechanicus
The highest they can obtain is Skitarii Marshal
Though could a Skitarius enter the Cult Mechanicus
Tech Priests aren't born TP though
Some are some arent
Skitarii are assigned to be soldiers, they cant go beyond that
especially when most Magi consider them to be cannon fodder
yep, also remember that something like Khepra and her Skitarii not being emotionally lobotomized and indoctrinated to hell and back is kind of an oddity
Kinda, it entirely depends on the forgeworld
we mostly see the darker side of these because well 40k
Some skitarii are very much normal troops but the lore represents most as meat-robots basically
ye
Faustinius is also a very pragmatic but good leader so its probably why he lets a lot of this fly.
it also helps that some of the more cold members of the expedition do note that "Lmao fuck your skitarii, go do your job"
so its not all sunshines and flowers
Codex usually has them as pseudo Servitor, while books often have them keep a personality of sort
Yeah its just narrative dissonance
same as how space marines are said to be brainwashed to not be human but act fully human in books
Because authors realise writing about faceless gun-people is very boring
uh, reading a bit of the wrath and glory book and im starting to like the absolvers
god i forgot that in Italian Bolters are called Requiem rifles
Nice name
until this happens and in english it would be "Captain with Long Range Heavy Perfected Requiem Rifle"
French kept it as Bolter
while in the english website it's just Master Crafted Heavy Boltrifle
also love how Helbrecht High Marshal model in italian it's named the SUPREME MARSHAL
I'd readily believe that this is part of a Harlequin units
could easily pass as a shadowseer with the plain mask
Ye
Is Trajann Valoris the greatest warrior ever existed?
No
Constantine valdor is the superior custode, and there are warriors who are greater than custodes, the first coming to mind being the primarchs
Also the greatest warriors who ever existed likely come from the war in heaven where everything was super strong
From human genestock, it's most likely one of the Perpetual, like the Emp or something
I'd love a Perpetual, who is just a normal human, but is just a great warrior, like Aborash, and who can go toe to toe with SM, Custodes and even Greater Deamon with ease due to being fighting for ages
I was browsing through the custodes on Lexicanum and I came across this line
Thats mostly just fake-hype text
i see
Thats before any primarchs reentered the setting
And since its only the imperium it might be true
damn
I see that both the Primarchs and the Custodes can lay claim to this title
get a first edition tech priest
Tech Priest ?
apparently
Tech Marine or Wolf Priest I would have understood, but Tech Priest ?
Well that does look more like a Tech Priest already
That is just the t45 power armor helmet Lmao
No. Kitten best Captain General.
As much as i love tts, no ||you marsy boys killed him over some protocol||
In all fairness it was Cawls' buy, the normal Admech is innocent (Or appear to be)
See inquisitor heldane wasn't weird, he was just trying to emulate his favorite mini
Don't let your dreams be dreams kids
and also remember "in the imperium", Costantin is currently off the hook
Probably no equivalent to the English "High" in Italian
Supreme works well enough
And means basically the same thing
ye but it's funny cause the italian versions are a weird mix of direct translation, full on adaptation with different terms or sometimes not even trying to translate and just copy paste the english name
with no pattern what'soever
So valdor is the greatest heroes the imperium has ever know ?
The man has an entire book to just spell his titles
And is also the first custodian (allegedly)
Hello there
No idea why
Okay thanks
Hi
Hi
Just gonna say this through Valdor's on a bit of a weird spot rn but going further would mean big spoilers for books
But basically you can consider him at the very least on par with the Primarch's
Okay, I won't spoil me his story too much
Ye it's far into the eisenhorn/ravenor/bequin series of books
Wich now that I think about it i should recover the ravenor books
Think I saw a conversation about this a couple days back
What
I should really read the Bequin books because I don’t remember anything about Constantin Valdor in Eisenhorn or Ravenor lol
Morty just cant get a break
And you guessed it, its exactly on Bequin books lol
y'all spoiling a major reveal in the series, it was such a cool moment to learn on your own 😩
Just wanted to tell him all the connected books so he can pick up all of them
That's why it's tagged as spoilers
Pre HH what the fuck was death gaurd even for
I know the dusk riders were like, a beefy shock assault thing
But when Mortarion came along what did he even do
Same as the other Legion
Chemical warfare, warcrimes, psyker extermination, long term battles in horrible environments
Oh I see
ignore the fact that death gaurd pykers are pretty good
first place goes to the night lords
So just the dirty work
The morally ignorable
to an extent
but they were respected for it
unlike the iron warriors
Also they're really good at dealing with shit terrain and urban warfare
they straight up ignore movement modifers in HH to represent that
Phosphex weaponry
Cause they weren't whiny b# about it
oh they did complain about the really shit ones
but they didn't complain about the like just shit ones
Who wouldn't, unless you're the one on the other side of the barrel
tbh Blood angels and death guard are
ironically very similar
in terms of the things they're sent to deal with
they like fighting on shit planets
and they enjoy it to an extent
why are the blood angels known for their speed anyway?
well specifically their alacrity which is just the speed someone/thing reactions or responds to something iirc
They get hyped up on blood like it’s a combat drug
And yeah they’re faster then other marines on average
They also prefer shock assault tactics and getting into melee
Yeah
Despoilers and assault teams are like
Their specialty
And they straight up strapped jets to a dreadnought
So it can fly in
Fucking love that meme thank you lmao

Im surprised the imperium don’t make more servitors out of Xenos
I mean an eldar servitor sounds horrible
suffer not the xenos to live
Humans are also easier to mutilate
True
Imagine shoving a butchers nails into an eldar tho
That would be torture for them
Eldar dont super need something like that because they already can experience intense emotions if they get a bloodlust going
mostly due to Khaine
Making drukhari into a servitor would be torture for them
That's what war masks are
They are still a little bit alive
Ye, also something something Eldar have much more heightened emotions than humans
That is torture to anyone
Oh they'd just expire
The most mundane existence posisble
Drukhari straight up die if they go without torture for too long
I'm pretty sure they can make do with just getting high if they're young enough
iirc Drukhari can survive as long as they are constantly one-upping themselves and young drukhari are not much worse than human addicts, so the trick is to servitorize a teenage drukhari and make a timed release system to flood it's system with heroin
why would you even want to make servitors out of them if it's so hard
they're just becoming robotic slaves anyways
As a prank
just torture them and get it over with
Put a drukari in a sensory deprivation chamber
That. Also it defiles the machines to be installed in Xenos.
That said, someone created Orc servitors
is that top right sternguard veteran a primaris marine wearing a firstborn helmet?
kinda rocks it
I prefer beaks for Vets
Primaris and firstborn mix armor decently frequently nowadays
Not Canon but it is an official mini
I have a lore question. So are suits of terminator armor given to any marine or is it like high ranking, the best of the best type thing?
Only to veterans of the first company
Unless you're force commander hairgel, in which case he won't stop at mere terminator armor and will proceed to utilize custodes armor as well
tbh he's prolly a veteran so the termie makes sense
the random pieces of custodes and primarch gear are funny tho
Learning about the Fire Angels, they seem to be the only other chapter besides the Black Templars that adhere to the Imperial Creed.
And these guys are a 25th founding? They’ve only been around for less than 2000 standard Terran years.
Silver Skulls as well
And an interesting combat doctrine, they seem to amass larger numbers of predators, whirlwinds, and vindicator siege tanks than other well known chapters.
They seem like a less, religious fanatical variant of the Black Templars. Which is kinda cool.
anybody got images of assorted autoguns
are assorted images okay?
@crystal forum here
Images 7 and 8 are ork autoguns
middle one's a rippa gun, them's ain't autoguns but automatic shotguns for ogryn.
this works too but i'd appreciate images i can't find on the lexicanum lol
there isn't that much autogun art
I'll find images from RPG source books
brb
i could pull image from rogue trader but them's old and 40k players seem to hate it when i dredge up old art.
tbh better to have old refrences then no refrences
especially since there's so little autogun lore
and art
there are a lot of people that disagree with you.
also they're autoguns, they don't need lore, they're caseless automatic weapons.
Tbf, an autogun is just, well, a gun
not anyone's fault GW doesn't know what caseless means.
I more so meant varaities
tbh
there weren't. there's whatever images i might pull out of necromunda and maybe armageddon's skirmish thing.
i'm getting the impression that an autogun can look like anything
Probably yeah
They are basically just brutalist firearms yeah
most of them are just modern guns we have now but with a box body
Like these are just a fucking mac10

because the imperium makes guns suitable for pistol-whipping slaves.
so my DIY pdf forces aren't out of style for using WW2 era weapons
well i don't have access to models nor my 3d printer up here so it's literally toy soldiers
eyyy thats a classic
this is a bolter right
probably the escher gun diagram
that's a bolter, yeah. can tell by the muzzle
Escher guns are literally just normal weapons with a curved handle
also here's an autopistol
its from imperial malidictum
i wanna like cut the guns apart and glue them together to make monstrosities
^
the only issue is that guy in the picture is the size of a primaris
lol
Some darktide ones
love how a 44 magnum could be considered anorexic
yeah it is
40k guns are super oversized lol
its the M16 looking one
you can tell by the fucking uh
triangle at the bottom barrel
40k is so cool
I love how you can tell
the artists just use the only pre-existing autogun looks
because theres no fucking art of anything else

i like how the agripinaa autogun looks like a lasgun but stone age
ikr
you can see the design evolution
me looking into general-chat
take a wild guess what sort of psyker discipline this represents
peace and harmony
close
the discipline of understanding the canon.
my photons are silenced
more autoguns
i really prefer the chunky look of autoguns over lasguns i'll be honest
another autopistol
also bullet guns just feel more relatable idk
Custom furnished Space M16 with laser, ACOG and suppressor
They're more satisfying
Unless it's something big like plasma
that light beam through the fog is awesome
Just general?
I think these are autoguns
yeah! they're flashy, loud and unsubtle. they're way more 40k for me
I think those are just random blocks vaguely shaped like weapons
just imagine how loud those big ass rounds are
I wish I could art like that
I know
Death
It could be pretty based tbh
also he cant advertise the U.S military
also this is a fun plothook
we'd be guaranteed to have like 10 movies
Pay an overrated model to pretend she can act?
LMAO
GunFeds
Literally can use the merican gunfeds
or whatever the fuck
that old 100 regiment was called
he'd try to cram in Chinese characters for that sweet sweet foreign ticket sales money
I'm avoiding making comparisons so I'm not accidentally racist
horus we must travel to ancient beijing
new preacher cosmetic just dropped
god im laughing so hard in my room rn
also based
i think uh
my favorite thing with this new RPG range has been people remembering other ethnicities exist in 40k

this is certianly a use for servitors
Do you have something to confess
Why not do it to this wonderful guy
They remembered with those 40k books where they complained about a black space marine
Yeah im not even joking like
if you look at every other 40k RPG book/artwork
its ALL white people
its actually mental lmao
I remember the flood of videos from the not so subtle channels about it
that sure was an "incident"
you didn't notice that the only black astartes chapter is caused by a mutation
that too
holy fuck tech priests are jacked in this RPG
what the actual fuck is this stat block lol
Yeah but they aren't African black they're jet black
^
Thank fuck they aren't the only chapter of black astartes now
Literally charred skin
Ultramarines should be more olive coloured
This is anti italian discrimination
perish
Idk cherubim have been a thing for a while
Mc esher type shit
thats not cherubs
thats a servo with a baby-face
that artist does them a lot, it sgreat
That isn't a cherub
YEEE
Its a servoskull with a baby face lol
What a strange quirk
"The baby serivtor guy"
btw how cannon is 40k art usually
Oh yeah same
all of it is canon
^
people always use 40k art but i can never tell if it's fanmade or cannon
if its an artwork in any GW pushlishing its canon
this is some horrifying ass Nid art
official 40k art is very easy to tell apart
holy shit lol
It's all canon it's just unfeasible to import that amount of detail to anims and games
I think only Lord Inquisitor did it
it looks blury almost
Also its mostly because GW has kinda lost all their in-studio artists.
They always hire freelancers now
yeah also that
so the style changes a lot
The same 6 or so
who did the older art
uhh
it looks very similar
a lot of people
average imperium L
Dabanaworks, Miguel, some others I forgor
that plasma pistol doing jack shit
so what would faction soldiers(imperial guardsmen, space marines, the stuff) do in their offtime
you know, if they do get any at all
also a funny mechanicus screenshot
Dabanaworks is my favourite
pray, do whatever hobbies they have
train
space marines get a shit ton of off time
ooh right I just remembered that Salamanders get visit their home worlds or something like that
how nice
Marines train or do hobbies provided chapter culture or time permits(blood angels do art etc)
Guard = see any military out of combat(morons goofing off to stave off dread and boredom)
they get to visit their families
as in clan family
they don't know their parents lol
guardsmen probably just go in rotations or whatever depending on their regiment
Also @crystal forum im gonna pass this PDF and its not technically pirating since you cant buy this thing anywhere anymore but here
Its a big collection of the artworks of old 40k artists, lots of good stuff in this.
blessed be the holy torrent

Yar har hoist the colours and all that
I'd love to see videos of guardsmen doing random goofy stuff in their barracks(and probably ending with them getting shot by the angry commissar)
Barracks?
We don't got luxuries like that
they're probably in a trench 24/7 now that you mention it
i don't think you know what a barraks is.
woah art of the emperor that isn't the 4 images you see a million times 🙀
This is a funny peril of the warp
I used a random word that came to mind please do not tie me to a pole and shoot me
no, you were fine the other dude was a clown.
Idk as far as I've read the guard usually don't get actual housing
i'll have to remember that link because i can't save it on my phone
You may be overestimating the average imperial's intelligence
blood is probably more nutrition than they get in a month
I need to draw my marines gardening
you think that catachan has gardens
Does burning down the forest around settlements daily count as gardening?
Drinking a crying statues blood seems like a terrible idea
in a cosmic sort of way, yes
Then yeah probably, apparently the forest is very aggressive when it comes to growing over things so they have to keep it in check
my gardening tools are:
spade
trowel
rake
M2 flamethrower
And the best one
Macro cannosn
I don't like where that Daemonette's hand is going. Could be worse, she might've used her claw instead.
Are the Ashen Claws the only black shields group still around in 40k?
its been like 2 months and people on the steam forum for rogue trader are still mad i called the space wolfs space furrys
i get like 2 messages a day
when Darktide got announced they were filled with racists/sexists saying women shouldnt be fightign a war
and hanging back making babies instead, which is just what the fuck

Most 40k steam forums in general tend to be shitshows
or people stuck in 2012
Only outright said ones but nothing in the lore really stops there from being other Renegade astartes elements out there.
its over 50 pages now
It's the nature of us humans to find something to complain about, no matter how smooth brained they are on a specific topic they make a fuss about. Their future ended in high school, so now they spend their lives glued to the screen to find something to gain validation from strangers. Same loop, different day. Like servitors trudging around in a forge world.
most of the time its people saying how bad the ultra marines are and i just dont understand the space wolfs
💀
or people asking for real furrys in warhammer
Yeah it got to a point that one of the community managers had to step in and tell them to stop.
cough abhumans
This was back when the game had one fucking trailer
💀
they were REALLY losing their minds over the asian zealot on the poster
Also disliking space wolves is completely normal
it was considered "taboo" once but its really not anymore
they are a meme chapter
I was actually happy about that, not sure what the other crackheads been smoking. It's a minor thing, but I've rarely seen any notable human to be of Asian descent, outside of Khan and Katsuhiro
Id take offense to that if it were not true
Its mostly due to GW being lazy when it comes to presenting other ethnicities in the Imperium.
Bro it would have been better if they were a chapter just composed of giant enhanced wolves that the other chapters can recruit as a pet
Before the new Wrath and Glory literally every person you'd see inside the artwork of RPG books were white people
They default to space British people
Yeah
like go look at old 40k art
you will not find a SINGLE non-white person
its actually hilarious
Also they don’t want to offend people either I’d assume
But that ship sailed a long time ago
even fucking Tallarn were just white dudes in beduin clothes which is about as racist as you can get

Like naming a tank Leman Russ?
They’re Arabic now at least
It's because of this that We don't really get a lot of creative ideas and you know explore a lot more dark topics because some group will get offended eventually
Tbh GW has ran out of shits to give nowadays imo
looks at casing of Clone Fulgrim with a sign that says "Break in case of running out of Content"
You know that glass will never be broken right
Yeah
I will never get people's obsession with clone fulgrim
its literally a throwaway plotpoint
The writer himself regrets clone grim lmao
^
Also another pro of the orks, since they are simple people it works to their advantage that their names are simple, my brother in Christ they literally named the one of their spaceships ROK
The writer said he opened Pandora’s box with it
It's not my hope, Just making a point on GW's "creativity"
But it’s too late bcs that’s how he pitched it lol
Lol fair
Creativity ?
Gw had that?
An old cousin of mine still remembers the day squats were discontinued in the 90s. He said "GW's gonna bring em back when they start panicking for new ideas." with Votann, he was technically right.
Yeah, the thing is with 40k they have a lot of spare content ready when they are running out
Like the next thing you know this imprisoned thingamajig just got out and now everyone has to help each other to kill it because it's god damn way too powerful for its own sake
He's gonna pull a Monster hunter movie move
The Dieprian Mountain Men approve this message
And got stomped by the Tau
Hey one of the important characters Is black
Idk if he still alive
Let me check
Never mind
He
Isn’t a tallarn character lmao
NEVER MIND
FOUND HIM
Alrahem
I might buy this model he’s a cool character
He saved a bunch of tribes from a virus bombing by the inquisition
And also tricked the eldar into cornering them selves by fortifying a pointless position
And literally took the head of an Autarch
this man's boots have more drip than all of cadia's guard.
Agreed. Though I'm glad that "big players" like GW and WotC are noticing now, and make their newer products a bit less cringe.
Turning the 40k setting around might take longer. A lot of named characters are already set.
in a setting defined by literally everyone being comically evil in different ways, i see no reason to worry about inclusion. nobody should want to be included in any of these groups and if you look at warhammer 40,000 and seek to find people like you you should spend that money on therepy.
counter point: I want to write stories where the war criminals kiss
Yeah, even the factions that are pretty goofy, carry enough firepower to blow an entire country apart without even breaking a sweat
you know full well you don't need to care about being accurate for that. go ahead and have black trans yarrick return and make out with asian gulliman for twelve chapters in a coffeehouse.
What if we kissed in the War crime room
@summer rover Oh, I don't have to worry about representation. Klovis the Redeemer has us white male nerds with goatees covered. 😁
All white male sci-fi is simply bad craftsmanship that breaks immersion in a bad way. And unlike C. S. Goto, you can't simply ignore it once you notice. It still permeates everything.
Why would you kiss someone inside the gas chamber?
So everyone?
The Lord of Drake has some words for us all!
Art by Mauro Belfiore

i love the line in ork codex quote "kommandos prize intelligence and initiative and some of them are even able to read"
I was specifically talking about the orks but that works i suppose
@crimson kayak Ordis and Cy would require some explaining to Magos Zoth-34...
tbf, they are technically not AI
there is actually an equivalent in 40k and the iron hands use it (it doesn't pilot ships but the idea of turning a person into a digital contruct it's there)
Yeah, and the fact that Ordon Karis was turned into Ordis as a punishment might also help.
and it's still This close to tech heresy already
What would be a good name for a rogue trader's ship?
The smile of the emperor?
That is terrible.../srs
Not the best i know but hey that's something, seems like the name for the ship of a very very cocky rogue trader
I don't think Harrack is like that...
Well that makes sense it hard to make a name when you have the brain of a god damn mad ork on a human body, plus making a warhammer sounding name is a very high order
guess I should just buckle up and do a deep dive on 40k ship names.
Wait here this should make your job a bit easier
Here, this is a warhammer imperial ship name generator website
You can use it as a decent base so you know to make something
https://www.realmofplastic.com/warhammer-40k-blog/40k-imperial-ship-name-generator
Thanks!
after a couple of novels i've accepted the fact that writers will straight up invent ship class names all the time
No problem, good luck on making a ship name
Anyway, I have this idea of Cy asking Zoth if there is anything he can do to assist when the 'Hunter of the Void' comes under siege.
So realistically what is the power level of Reject 4 ||or 5 doesn't matter||
Assuming damnation is "canon" difficulty, and reject 4 survived all missions
Basically your average RPG kill-team
they can kill most basic units and anything near their level but can also die to them.
the game does a good job of powerscaling of the things they can definitely take out minus the daemonhost
also could the reject 4 be mentally incorruptible? consider they exposed to plenty of chaos energy during their mission including grimoire and fought all mini-bosses
They can be yeah.
By level 30 you are basically an inquisitorial strike-team with lots of experience, having taken the Hereticus Oath among many other things.
The moment we encountered that plague ogryn all of us would have been so sick that the black plague looked like a fucking joke
Depends
plague ogryn are not as contagious as nurgle daemons
its also mostly about physical contact too
Yeah, but didn't we get hit when that giant green wrecking ball charged at as
to be fair theres a difference between getting charged and getting sliced
also a lot of people in books survive stuff like that against nurgle too because otherwise your characters will die in a single infected cut
getting swallowed by a beast of nurgle ought to be a death sentence to anyone tbf
but oh well 'tis a game
They are also in prolonged contact with said infection everyday they do their job
Yeah dark tide is not good at power scaling
The game mentions that they get constantly decontaminated
and Darktide is very good for powerscaling, the "its a game" excuse can mostly me tied to the bosses
the Beast of Nurgle is more or less a death sentence but anything else is mostly managable
Ok i think the only reason that works is because aisha probably told them about it
Isha
death
Sorry my bad
lmao its okay
I don't know, i don't read eldar lore alot
I think the decontamination formula is probably one of isha's whisper
i think GW just knows that sticking 100% to book lore is impossible for movie or game adaptations
also that too
there has to be some narrative disonance
like in the 9th edition trailer uh
All these marines should be dead
but the scarabs fly past them
minus that one unlucky bastard
What if we consider all bosses encounter are optional and not "canon"
assuming reject 4 avoid all fight unless it necessary (horde during mission objective and captain boss fight)
would they still be a powerful figures lore-wise?
Yes.
guardsman kill lots of ridiculous things in general
we also got an ogryn which is a big power factor
One in lore literally suplexes a chaos terminator lol
mind you there could still be some tech fuckery going on that we just haven't been revealed to yet
Yeah and each one of those are armed with something that allows them to breakdown materials
that's what it feels like when a black fly bites my skin off
Does the necron have a weapon that doesn't straight up de-atomize you
Even their god damn blades vibrate in and out of dimensions
Uhhh
not really no
even the melee stuff is like
phases through all your equipment to cut the flesh
you die
Even the weakest of their weapons literally De-atomize stuff, so even a group of their infantry alone is enough to threaten a tank
Or just out right destroy it
i bet a guardsman flak vest can still stop it
Where's that video of the Lord killing some ad-mech rascals when you need it
it says so in my uplifting primer
I agree
( I saw someone turn into dust right in front of my eyes )
clearly didn't pray enough
close enough honestly
I love the fact that this guy literally used the most devastating weapon he has just to get rid of like what a few tech priests
tech priests prying open forbidden tombs like indiana jones so they can touch everything
gotta use what you've got
Oh look i'm getting robbed
I forgot to buy ammo for my guns, looks like i'm just going to have use the shard of a living god from ancient times
Something something it's dependant on the single disease that group is spreading something something
To be fair if it gets the job done may as well do it
I wonder why Imperium can't turn ogryn into space marine
there probably be some way to boost their intellect right?
there is and they're called boneheads
yeah but why don't imperium turn orgyn into space marine
probably not smart enough still or some other sci-fi mumbo jumbo about not being compatible to the operations
Ogryns are heavily mutated
Space Marines are artifically mutated
they require an entire process from when they are teenagers to do the whole thing
ye, like I said. Mumbo jumbo
Shut up nerd
🫡

Apart from gimmick organs, it probably won’t do them much good anyway for strength and endurance
space marine have enchanced speed, reflex and agility right?
3 things orygn could use
Apparently they can't even transplant the organs into female norm humans for mumbo jumbo reasons. Doing that with an abhuman twice the size sounds even less likely
he rolled a 1 on his ward save
Ogryn are way stronger and way more easy to influence with propaganda loyal on average however
Like an ogryn can just beat a marine to death with ease
yeah
Charonites go from beating marines to death to literally tearing tanks apart lol
And basically they turn into very loyal angry murder blenders
What do you think of Cy offering his assistance during ship-to-ship combat?
May help as tactical, but unable to actually do stuff as how the systems work it's completely different
Unless you mean throwing the whole Railjack in
In that case it would be preferable not due to everything being Big in 40k
I was thinking he could at least monitor things inside the ship? Or maybe direct the ship's crew to developing emergencies?
Maybe whom ever is usually on the vox got hit with some debris?
Problem is that Cephalons wouldn't have anything to interact with cogitator colonies unless it like, remotely hacks them or something
I'll have to work on that... On a different note... After a visit to an Imperium controlled planet for repairs and supplies, rumors of a stowaway on the Hunter of the Void begin to circulate. (Actually, it's Asha sneaking around, now that she has some clothes that won't look out of place.)
Consider that ships have actual populations inside them
So could work maybe talking about it like some sort of story/myth being passed around the decks
Right... I always forget that Imperial ships are like cities unto themselves.
Ye
So stories of a kid with purple eyes, "I'd call'em Cadian purple, but they were brighter than that."
@crimson kayak
"I'd call'em cadian purple, but there's no Cadia anymore"
Jokes aside it could work
Cool lore bit
'Bright eyes' has a reputation for being helpful, no matter if the person they're helping is Human, Abhuman, or even a Psyker.
Hey where the astral claws ever refounded?
No
Oh ok lol
i rememebr a handful of chaos chapters got refounded
let me check
what the list of
I don't rememeber chapters falling to chaos being ever refounded?
Hell, not even the World Engine story guys didn't get to die in peace and magically had a couple survivors on their world
soul drinkers, brazen skulls, and Dragons Ardent were reofounded
were the exmaples i could find
of refounded chapters
Astral Claws are fully gone yeah
Aren't the Astral Claws now the Red Corsairs, and a somewhat big deal among the Chaos Space Marines?
okay i wanted to check because they still have a tab on some websites like goonhammer
Death
but now thats gone
lol
I can't wait for Warzone Vulcanis or some shit
where Stygies VIII gets eaten by the nids

i know if you have legends on you can still play their uique characters in 9th lol
but you basically cant run primaris if you try to do their suggested tacctics
yeah but their character auras dont work with primaris in 9th
Oh so they were all refounded during the ultima founding, that explains why I don't rememeber that
i have no clue about their 10th edition legends rules
true
fun fact about stygies
the reason why their armor is red is so that when they get caught doing something
they tear off their robes and burn them
and pass themselves off as martian
Absolutely fucking based
Mars tech priests
and skitarii
if you're wondering how well it works
it works well enough for mars to tell them to stop doing it
LMAO
Also these guys are actually kind of nuts production wise when you think about it
Considering they have 8 Forge Moons all orbiting the same gas giant
They supply an entire sectors worth of guardsmen lol
and more
since they're the only forgeworld that makes the model of manticore most of the guard uses
and are the only producers of the vanquisher cannon
why are there so many captians that are both the exact same mdoel coming in sets of two
This is the third time ive seen these two models sold next to each other by completely different people
were they like, the tzaangors of third or something where every box came with them lol
Cause SM fans buy them like its hot bread each time
Yes
Every marine box came with them
This was the black reach captain
i might buy one and paint one as mantis and other as executioners , one of them come with like 10 first born
dude buys several boxes to army build, dude does not need the same seargent repeated over all the units and tries to sell the spares. also just kind of a garbage sculpt.
Stygies is the best forgeworld
Is there any design difference between the Mark IV Maximus helmet and the Mark X helmet Primaris Marines use? they both look similar.
Mk4 juts out, and is more angular
MKX has softer edges and the faceplate is mostly flat
Yeah its mostly made as an homage first and tweaked later
Hmm yeah. Must be a personal preference for me but, I like Astartes helmets that don't have the "darth vader" vox grill that we're accustomed to seeing more often.
I mean yeah, I still like the poster boy space marine helmets. But I like their other variations. G crusade era, even the mark 6 beakie boys.
I agree, knight helmets are much superior

was about to say Emperor's champion, but then I noticed the wings on the side of the helmet. Yeah, even D.A's rock that look.
It's missing the blood iconography
s'little hard to tell with a sketch.
but definitely, other than mark iv and x helmets, I like the knightly ones.
beakies the best
It’s a captain though lol
I just find it funny that so many people have so many they sell it in pairs
i've decided to try and find more autogun ideas
and i started by looking at the models that GW sells
this is a drum fed autogun that can be equipped on cadian sergeants
the fact that cadians still use autoguns implies to me that they're pretty much as effective as lasguns
would love to have more options to use them outside of cadian sergeants
Guardsman mostly use lasguns because it makes for better posterboy material more or less
my personal headcannon is the logistics of carrying billions of rounds vs rechargeable lasgun packs
The rechargability of laspacks has always been kinda eh
its not something you also ever get to do unless you are having "downtime"
true
it's probably a lot easier to clean and maintain a lasgun
at the end of the day though whether you're shooting bullets or lasgun shots
you still won't kill an ork running at you
logistically lasguns are all around better compared to autoguns
i expect the chargepacks are eaiser to transport are more efficient in a weight to killing power matter as well
yep and the fact that lasguns don't have recoil (the do in darktide as apparently they don't feel right otherwise) means its easier to train soldiers to use them
i mean there is a lot of that in warfare
@storm jungle were you the one that sent a check list/parody of what the first leagues novel will be like because it's written by Thorpe?
Nah that was real
he deleted the tweet after like an hour tho

Lasguns mostly have recoil
its been in the books for like the last 25 years
the recoilless stuff is just BL doing its thing
Wiat is grav trope that guy who wrote that one tau book
Which one
That made tallarn look like a racist depiction of uhh
oh god

my broke ass wanting to start 5 armies
