we have so much cabal client race lore
the Covenant still does a great job imo but after Halo 3 they just kinda yeet
too bad they never show up
I'm lazy too. But I wanna see a genetically modified super soldier wonder "what the hell?" at what they're seeing.
"Ayo this wasn't in the codex astartes"
Space Marines are sadly too bland for that
dont the hive worship worms?
They do since they introduced the aliens in halo 1, a good bit of story and culture in 2, then the massive changes in 3.
Yeee
But other than that I'm like "hee hee funny grunt"
it mostly gets sidelined into novels and such
also same
the fact that the grunts almost overthrew the covenant is gigachad tier lore

Any time I see halo rp and I join it ima grunt
almos tas big as a regular person
but they're like
its fucking insane
Yeah and uh
in one book they literally tear one guy limb from limb
its very fucking shocking

people often forget how big the spartans are
yeah
and he is one of the shorter ones
I think its really funny how bungie made the brutes in halo
and then decied to one up themselves with the cabal
spartan 3s where more chief size and the 4s where closer to humans iirc
and go even harder into the what if its a natural born war machine
god drones are huge
So I forgot the exact Sangheili character, but I really love the fact that a grunt's intelligence lead to the loss of a significant fleet commander in the Covenant.
A grunt was studying a nuclear bomb, accidentally said the code to set it off, and blew up the whole ship.
literally me
To the grunt's credit, he did figure out the nuke
genius tbh
god Ta'aurc is huge and he isn't even that high ranking
oh god
i forgot the cabal gunners
mfers are insanely huge
thats not even getting to special character ones
which are like as big as a fucking predator tank

AH YES! Xytan Jar Wattinree is the Sangheili name. Basically he became so influential and powerful through his strategic brilliance that it rivaled the shrimp noodle necks that sit on chairs in the Covenant. But a smart grunt had to put an end to this man's career
It really do be that way
the Prophets
Ngl idk how the human-covenant war would have went if this guy was still alive.
Yesh
humans would have went extinct
I think humanity gets fucked in the ass
^
like the covenant is hilariously OP
they're just stupid
their basic fucking peashooters
literally
give you cancer
plasma pistols literally flash boil your flesh
Yeah its like lasgun on crack
even if its a near miss
or you know, get shot by fucking crystals that EXPLODE
die
I'm reading the wiki and if its correct...this NOVA bomb literally obliterated not only this dude's ship, but two thirds of the fleet he commanded, and a fucking moon.
and then the humans make a fucking gauss cannon to one shot most of their ships lol
Like...idk how else you can surpass that grunt's genius of figuring out the nova bomb code
Then saying it aloud
Big bomb
It was genius followed by idiocy
those M.A.G. cannons are no joke
ngl the funniest part about the solar system in destiny is how phobos is on a direct collusion course with mars because some Psion flayers got bored and decided to start moving Phobos
Ork Moment
its just here have an asteroid shot thru your ship at warp 5
Psions are BROKE
especially the higher ranked ones
Me and the admech homies casually taking a piece of a star and yeeting it at local imperial rebel space defenses
Lol
#BadabGang
till some shmuck with a gun made of protostar plasma busts in the room
ngl i cant blame any of the enemy factions in destiny for wanting the light for themselves
I hold a halo opinion that I get many weird looks for
What is it
literally immortality and powers that rip the laws of the universe to shreads and then put them back together lol
Tbh they’ve gotten close in the past at times
Only faction that hasn’t is the fallen bcs they literally worship it
the hive full on succeeded for a time iirc
I like the Halo 4/5 marines
I think some of the designs are great
Tbh it’s a cool look
Stuff like this
The only halo 4 marine design I hate
Is the skull mask one
That shit is so
Goofy lol
I enjoy my solid piece sci Fi armour as much as the next guy
But plate carriers are pretty
Oh wait I just realized how cabal survive vex explosives
They wear ERA
Which is stupid as fuck
But I guess if your biology allows for it
Better then getting instantly disintegrated lol
SWTOR trooper my beloved
It’s such a cool design tbh
But it’s def a weird disconnect from the other old republic games
Which have less prequal looking armor
The newer armours they release are kickass
well the whole lore is the troopers are an elite force drawn from the regular army and given the most advanced armor and weapons the republic has
This isn't even using particularly new stuff
Though there is the issue of like half the damn cosmetics being mandalorian trash
thats cool
everyone wants to look like one
kek
ngl I sort of miss the destiny 1 cabal design but space romans are also cool ig
then again the higher ranking ones already had that look
so ig it was inevitable lol
Lmfao
pulls it off better than Ultramarines tho ill give em that
Red legion honestly go full space roman
compared to the scout legions in D1
like they aren't even trying to hide it
oh man i missed my hunter
Preach
pretty
Though I guess this is more red and black
same difference
They're my Bois who I'll eventually collect
YOO
Owlcat channel posting stronghold memes
The lore!
lol
i still cant get over the fact that you can kill the ghosts
C r u n c h y
They chose their side
And they’ll do the same
So make them regret it
if you could make any chapter have a codex suppliment who would it be?
Iron hands or raven guard
Iron hands actually got a suppliment in 6e
and Raven guard have a lot of unique stuff to them within marines
but in all honesty I'd rather eldar or literally anyone else get a suplement
Lmao who???
yo Lord Solar Leontus is the GOAT
First company of iron hands
Do necromancers have to have staffs to use their powers? Like can you strap a magical banner to your back and cast spells freehand with your hands
Asking for an unrelated idea of mine
you can do those or be like Skyrim where you just have to cast with your hands
In most fantasy fiction I've read staffs are used to control their power a lot more easier
Or you know some kind of input and output device
Amulets bracelets you name it
Yeah I'm thinking of a more sci Fi deal where the person has both legitimate magic powers but also has stuff like gauntlets that shoot fire and shit
Like someone who can reanimate robotics so they have their banner draped in robotic arms clutching weapons that come to life and can shoot
you're making doctor doom?
Shit you're right, that's cool as hell. Kinda, just more sci Fi than comic book but ye definitely in a similar vein but I also am so tired I mixed up magnetos abilities with Dr doom
All I can think of is the shitty fantastic 4 movie they did
Where Dr Doom is like a burnt chicken nugget
So basically he can infect offline robotic hauls with magic that can both repair the said broken robot and also infect it with a controlling virus
Oh cool! I was basically thinking like maybe there's cords from the disconnected limbs to a power source on the back that's turned on or something, but sometimes you just want some crazy zombie movie living limb stuff y'know
The one where the zombies are almost immortal black goo melty ppl
Yeah you said you wanted him to have magical abilities but have science so I figured why not a necromancer that controls robots and has a techno staff
Yee! I was thinking the exact thing, they'd be surrounded by mostly robots and robots close to humans (robotic skeleton with human like synthetic flesh, Arnold Schwarzenegger terminator p much, but they look a lot paler/grey and their blood is more like a purplish color) so they could reanimate them, plus reviving what are essentially (not as powerful as Schwarzenegger ofc) t-800s is scary for normal people
Something along the lines of this I presume
Yee, when thinking about them they're like humans but off, they can still wear armor and act more independent than the t-800s but still robots, also what's that from I wanna know more
That's some ghost in a shell looking stuff
it's a figure literally called synthetic human so
who knows
It's baller AF tho, reminds me of ghost in a shell, ruiner
I'm one of the few people that remembers ruiner
You don't need a staff to cast magic, but it work as a fulcrum for magic cause its usually attuned to the wind and composed of Ingredients
I want my Japanese magical back banner (whatever they're called)
The square flag ones
Well you don't need a staff at all, like the Vampires usually don't have any
But they are already filled with the Winds and the lore of Nagash (One of the origin of Necromancy in the Old world
Drachbefels for example never used a staff iirc. But then again, while being a Necromancer he is a special case
Oh shit drachenfels is real?
I'm also the same dummy that didn't realize that Olesya used shadow magic
Yes, but he can't be used anymore, same for Malal, GW did make Nameless in the ET which basically is Drachenfels
Drachenfels for aos
Unless they want to be sued, won't happen
They can keep the moniker of Nameless
I'm making it worse I mean better
Would it make sense for him to be called Nameless in the Old World ?
@storm jungle
Ok, that's surprising. Isn't Drachenfels still part of Vermintide II?
Leviathan novel: Purchased
"The 1st Company was killed to a man"
Calling it
We can only hope
Ok I know we always complain about tyranids not being scary enough but I think they overcorrected because I'm not even past the prologue and I think I'm going to be sick
What happens
Genussy
Im burning this chat
||basically the entire prologue is people going insane, either shadow in the warp or psyker shenanigans. The issue is there's a bunch of "insects" and "parasites", I'm assuming small tyranid organisms, and it really lavishes the way they crawl around under living skin or one crazy guy eating bugs before they eat him||
Aren't they pretty much linked together?
It's objectively not that bad, but it really caught me off guard
Just curious. I first encountered them in the books by Jack Yeovil (which are a good read), and they seem pretty much linked
Like, maybe just listen to someone on youtube talking about this one if you don't like bugs, because man are some gross things happening with these bugs
First chapter in. Ultramarines already underestimated tyranids.
Ultramarines underestimated tyranids
We're this far into this setting and they still underestimate the tyranids?
Didn't they know what the hell happened to ultramar once
The protagonist called them "mindless predators" and sent two thirds of his force off-world
My brother in Christ you have seen what they can do when they arrive in a world
This is 1st company too isn't it
Is the MC Agemman or the Phobos LT?
Lorewise yes, legally no
If it's Agemman then it's bad writing, if it's a primaris goon I guess you can chalk it up to inexperience but the UM are the wrong chapter to use for the ignorant moron archetype imo
But ah well it's a plot device to kill marines
Ultramarines underestimating tyranids is like one of the dumbest things you can do because their planet literally got hit by one of the most terrifying tyranid hordes ever
1st company turned into just another battle company
"Experienced veterans and leaders" my ass
It's supposed to be the marines from the 10e trailer
Also the guy is... very ultramarine if you catch my drift
So it's badly written
Maybe I'm being unfair since I barely started the book, but it's not off to a strong start
The character is so bad that vanilla ice cream looks more interesting
Yeah I think I get it
The nids are good though, very spooky nids
Who's the writer
Darius Hincks
Theoretical: got a nid writer to write marines
Without much context
Speaking of lore how is the votan doing
Last I heard they got into a fourway with the nids, necrons, and imperium, so standard
It seems he may have written the early storm cast lore
Oh wait no I'm thinking of the eldar
Aka the bad part
Oh boy
Well I'm going to look at the bright side. Based off these marines, he seems to be really good at writing emotionless and inhuman creatures, so maybe he'll be good for bugs
That explains why the space marines are bland
Ok nevermind something has caught my interest
this is a recently colonized world for the Imperium and like, there's actually some fun stuff there
‘Who do?’ replied Vela.
‘The off-worlders. Their scribes print our songs in these books. The same songs we’re not allowed to sing. They steal music from mouths and pin it to a page.’
‘They’ve turned us into an exhibit,’ whispered Urzun, squeezing Damaris’ arm.```
Oh that's bleak
tbf he sent them off world to attack the splinter fleet not petting giraffe's
Oh
That's an insult to force commander vanilla ice right there
Force commander Hairgel
Mans maintained a cut for years and hundreds of hours of combat operations
"not just imperials"
Now that's hardcore
Cybersecurity professionals everywhere just nutted at this level of lockdown
They weren't caught slacking 🙏
Servitor gang risin' up
Yo the Norn Emissaries go hard in that book
Imagine being an eldar in a spirit stone and getting eaten by a tyranid
waiting for the stomach acid or whatever tf is inside em to melt your stone before it cracks and you get sent to Vore Hell

You mean force commander self insert?
youd think farseers would be more tzeentch-curious
My guy they literally have a chaos god breathing down their neck 24/7 they aren't going to be like "you know what will help? another one"
I'm pretty sure theres even some sources where when eldar willingly worship chaos they turn into daemons almost immediately because Slaanesh is so close on their heels
remember when some astra militarum called the drukhari chaos eldar and the drukhari got extremely offended
Attributing their evilness to chaos is an insult smh
They came up with it all on their own
Vanilla ice yes
ice ice baby
What would be a good name for morally gray Hive City gang?
Fencers
I’ll add that to the list. I’m partial to something like Nelumbo.
It can also be a fancy name and not much more tbh
Not like Cawdor or Escher mean something in particular
That's cause those are the House name, not the Gangs
You can pick out the members of this gang from their habit of highlighting notable scars with tattoo ink.
I'd probably take a word that mran Scar with a colour.
But not White Scar
Eg: Amber Cicatrix
If the colour scheme is yellowish
Oh shit true
Well, not like stuff like Tunnel Jack's or Ashtown angels really mean anything specific
I should make a necromunda ork gang called Scrap Toofz
The backstory is simple someone wanted to experiment with an ork specimen and didn't know that orks release spores, the fungus got into hidden corners and grew into a new gang
I might add some things later but that's an idea
Especially when the "Angels" are the ones shaking you down and charging you to search through literal junk
Aren't there already some Orks on Necromunda?
Ye
Eldar, genestealers and Orks were avariable as "environmental enemies"
That means my idea isn't out of the box
What is an eldar going to do in the planet with toxic enough air to make poison pokemon
I can believe a gene stealer and of course i can believe an ork, but necromunda is the last place a upstanding member of eldar society would go
Exactly
It's like being a queen of a country and going to a town where knife crime is popular
oh The pirate eldar
Ye
Now this is an interesting idea
An ork freebota and an eldar Corsair get paid to interrupt a chaos invasion
Let's just say the local planet lord didn't really have anyone else to hire
Mek and Tek xeno edition
A corsair price, a freebooter captain, Huron Blackheart, Nehat Nev and a rogue trader get into a bar
Sadly we still lack Tau, Necron and tyranids pirates
Yeah, those 2 can work, but i don't think insect dinosaurs would be very convincing pirates
Someone give a pirate hat to old one eye quick!
All right so you called the imperium right, where is the pirate captain?
Over there
A carnifex tears through the wall
We gaming
Why does it look like a psx model
What's a psx model
Playstation 1
Ah
Out of curiosity what's the chapter the space marine would be
Probably my amateur texturing lmao
Lol, it's weird cause it feels oddly 3d compared to the rest of the sketch
Yeah I haven't gotten to the rest of it lmao
Your own home made space marines?
Yes
Made the crest myself
Too bad i can't draw for shit
I just wish that i had the ability to put the image that i made in my head into a paper
I mean I just mash together pieces of reference images after changing up their details so you don't have to have a image in your head
Like, the guy in my pfp literally came about while randomly trying to do basic primaris
Yeah but my mind makes some untraceable shit
tries drawing, proceeds to summon an eldritch entity of the 7th dimensiom
Late but it kinda depends, Eldar usually end up only being corrupted by chaos when its forceful/proximity based corruption when they get prolonged exposure to other chaos gods including Slaanesh, when they die its usually dependant on how much corruption they got from that particular god who harvests their soul for the most part
Theres been a few incidents of Nurgle/Khorne infested Eldar in books too.
eldar ususally are in necromunda as mercinaries, or recovering eldar stuff because necromundan nobles love fancy exotic crap
Eldar arent that much in Necromunda with the new lore, theres mention of eldar like once in across all recent clan books too.
Aliens in general are rarely in necromunda.
Corsair Eldar also never tend to hang around on-foot on Imperial planets.
so theoretically speaking i can make an ork gang in Necromunda?
Uhhh no
like the moment they are found out they would be exterminated
Oh shame
The moment Hellmawr realised there was GSC in one hive he fucking nuked it.
Orks would be even worse, like im not saying its impossible but Necromunda is a very human-biased setting, as long as you got an good excuse for why the orks are there i think you could make it work tho
even for an imperial hive city, necrumunda is fuckin' trigger happy all the way up to the orbital defenses.
As long as you can deal with them not spreading spores everywhere you're probably fine.
AND Orks were included in the 1st edition of the Outsider rule book
How about this reason,
Someday a guy wanted to experiment on a green skin brought one at the deepest parts of the hive in order to not be found out he messed up and they multiplied at The lowest point of the hive
messy, but works.
as long as you keep them small and contained
i wouldn't expect it to last outside of your campaign, but for gamin' purposes it'll do.
A lot of buddies I know also have ran ork gangs using goliath rules
just don't mistake it for something you can argue will work in canon, that way lies brawling with strangers
Nah it can work as long as its kept small
40k lore is stupid
so its not a big deal
realistically speaking for example the GSC in necromunda would easily take over the planet but dont because plot.
no i mean 40k lore people love to argue and hate each other.
Oh yeah i have the basic premise already
Scrap Toofz
An ork tribe that lives at the deepest point of necromunda, they are sometimes hired as very desperate mercenaries
Like they're only hired when you have no other choice
Yeee if they are Kunnin' as hell you can easily also make the excuse that they are kommando as hell and are usually mistaken for Goliaths too
since they are the planet's "trope muscle people"
golaiths musta gotten ugly since i last saw a mini....
Yeah, but i'm not sure that will last long when they see a green goliath that's ten feet tall and is armed with scrap weaponry
If genestealer cults can exist and half the population doesnt believe they exist then so can orks.
Also remember the underhive is gargantuan
nobody is gonna go down to search for a small pack of orks
especially if its just a "rumor"
an inquisitor might, but that's already a hive-wide concern.
Yeah pretty much

Basically as long as you think from an in-universe perspective you can get away with a lot of things.
most people on Munda are either slave workers or people that never will leave this planet.
Aren’t there orks in another hive lol

If i am a Necromunda enforcer i will definitely not go down all the way at the under hive, because well what's the point do i gain if it's probably just rumors and well if they did exist they will probably have a lot of weaponry already considering the amount of junk necromunda has
Literally yeah, thinking like that helps
and speaking of + what Wolf said
The Skull
This derelict hive city is the largest of a cluster of three remote ruined hives. It is pierced by great holes and from a distance looks like a great skull lying in the Ash Wastes. It is a famous landmark and perhaps even worshipped by the local nomads. These three gigantic ruins are all that remains of the hives that were captured and occupied for a time by Ork raiders. All contact with the cluster was lost for several Terran years before the rest of Necromunda realised what had happened and a campaign was mounted to clear them. This was the original reason for the despatching of a Space Marine contingent to Necromunda, which has since become a permanent establishment on the Hive World.
The hives were besieged and destroyed during the campaign. Now the tops have caved in and they lie abandoned and choked with dust. No one knows what fearful things have made their home amid the ruins of the Skull, and even the nomads and scawies fear to go near them.
As you can see they only went and called upon an extermination campaign because the orks made themselves super noticable.
I'm planning to make my Ork gang have a blood axe style
Sneaky around the city you know
Yeee that would deffo work
also like
you got the Delaque who literally have alien units
but pass them off as "oh no they are just brain-drones bro trust me"

Necromunda also has an eldritch god underneath its surface worshipped by the Delaque too
so some ork hidden raiders is the least of everyones concerns
Yeah, if I am an enforcer, and one of the planetary governors tells me that i will quit the job right in front of him and shoot myself in the head
Yep pretty much
same as how if you go outside and tell a cop some outlandish thing you witnessed they'll just not believe you
In 40k he'll probably just hit you on the head with a baton and walk off

so ye dont worry you got a good base
I'm surprised it doesn't evolve into politics brutality
Considering its well you know 40k
Yeah anything else as we said above you can just chalk up to nobody believing eye-witness reports if anyone asks you that
You could also probably make a middleman character from another gang that deals with their contracts so it's like everyone dies who sees them for the most part except this dude who knows and is trying to turn a profit
Also this
40k lore has established that theres piece of shit imperials who will regularly make business with orks
Maybe some rich high planetary governor, that can have connections with my orks
they own a guy that owns a guy that owns a guy that handles the greenskins.
someone a bit more low can deffo work tho
That's not impossible but someone like that would never go that low in the hive
Yeah this
a bit more of a lower-man would work
like with off-planet connections and such
the Cold-Trade exists highly in Munda
Just have the servants do the dirty work
Warhammer 40k you don't get your hands dirty that's your slaves job
Yeah but slaves talk and loose lips sink ships
Ah fair point
Hmm
How do i make a character though that deals with orks
I can't make names and f****** backgrounds for humans
man, just read the news. you have a scumbag employer of internediaries that you don't ask questions about and they hire the kinds of people you'd get in trouble for knowing about. 's what's going in on russia.
Just servitorize them
If you really don’t want it to get out
Or kill them
Life is cheap
I think like an impoverished/disgraced noble could work fine. But any gang could have a person looking for upward mobility in the gang would also use Orks. Also a dude that high up would likely have better tools than feral Orks
I'm not making them snake bite ish, just like a very very sneaky blood axe like orks
But i see your point
I'm just going to say that they take contracts for anyone and many people are interested
You need someone who is desperate but able to have enough clout to pay them and make connections. Regardless of them being snake bites or not they'd likely be considered feral until they spread their spores and turn into a fully fledged warband
And this is necromunda
There are many people like that in that place
Yeah I'm not saying there isn't, I'm just guiding you to help make it more sound. At the end of the day I think most people will either not care that you are using Orks, or there is no amount of explanation and lore that will make them agree with you
hey so whats the meaning of the weird cross on a bunch of space marines, like the blade guard shields and the trinkets
Yeah, and Necromunda has enough problems to be honest, an ork gang is the least of their concerns
I appreciate it thank you
It looks cool
Yeah its basically an iron cross, it just looks cool
its a bit more distinct as to not look too german/fascist
it mostly has to do with the gothic/catholic aspect too
Again with the fascist shit. 40k’s aesthetic isn’t fascist. The irl fascists had nothing original to them. They stole and appropriated literally everything they could get their hands on.
40k is fascist, its literally the point of the Imperium

GW literally had to make a statement saying the Imperium of Man is satire and a parody
The Imperium technically isn't facist due to how feudal it is 🤓

but it def is designed to resemble a facist goevernment lol
with the whole race + nation above all
That applies for most factions.
and the natural social hiarchy bit
never said it didn't lol
The Tau are also facist technically
due to their stratified caste based society along with the fact its a dictatorship
Also the fact that non Tau automatically hold a lower position in society as they aren't in a caste
It really doesnt
GW specifically made that statement to the Imperium stans

They at least added "Nobody in 40k is good, none"
but
made the point to add "ESPECIALLY the Imperium of man"
they are entirely aware of how shitty a good chunk of their fanbase is even if they are all equally cashcows
They should have said especially Chaos.
Nah
Most chaos players are based and know they are evil
Imperium fans are usually the ones huffing copium
Ork players are also based "I killed this guy for the memes."
orks too, nine out of 10 times you ask them why they played them it's always related to "it's because of their goofy side"
Some people like orks when played straight
others like the goofy bit
But there's a weird ammount of imperium copium
about how it isn't that bad
^
Its supposed to be god awful lol
Yeah i like the Imperium because they look cool while being awful people
but i lose my love for them the moment some mfer goes
"THEY ARE A FEUDAL OLIGARCHY"
concentration camps
propaganda
genetic purity
Servitors are better.
the government itself lol
yeet
They have developed the rock and stone syndrome
where if some one WAAAGHS you have to follow it up
at its soft inside
also yeah the Imperium basically has every factor of terrible governments in it
including democracy heyoooo

They even have the religion side coverage just look at the ecclesiarchy
Like the blood ravens homeworld
Also yeah like
And Olympia.
the entire reason 40k has a catholic aesthetic is because it was made by british punks
and nobody liked the church at the time
because you know
corruption
not actually helping the public
etc

The only British people are on Praetoria.
Nah
a lot of Imperials are british
mostly because GW
also thanks for reminding me how cringe Praetorians are
There are no British Astartes, though.

Not even joking theres barely any like uh
foreign VAs in most 40k material
tho thats mostly because local actors are easier to get i guess
have I posted the white scar meme
Nope
GOD
orks literally getting made fun of as british
Orks are omega british
^
they're the final form
they are on another plane
of your average football club enjoyer
Especially with the teef.
and 10x more violent
Yeah it's the running joke
i find it quite funny
I don't think most people even notice. But once you start giving Imperial Fists a German accent, people would notice if some audio would be lacking it
That's the definition of Black Templars.
Space Prussians, Space Teutons. No idea where Dorn digged up the memes 🤷♂️
Anyone want to look at my red
so in other words exactly how it is now?
Oh makes sense, so it would make sense for smaller chapters to have it?
I feel like I look like thsi when ever im trying to make a character themed around somewhere in Asia
True I’m just self conscious
don't worry buddy as an asian, as long as you have common sense and like wolf said good faith go ahead
I feel like some people’s mantis warrior characters are kinda yikes
Like
That's not even subtle that's literally a samurai with a power katana
yeah lmao
There’s a lot of this
Like
Mantis warriors have middle eastern themes too, they draw from a small pretty shitty solar system
It depends what planet they are from
I DONT KNOW LMAO
Is that supposed to be a mongol?
It's some sort of scuffed samurai
Yeah in history they were literally used basically just as authority displays, they were literally last resort weapons
Like you have to be very very ******* desperate to use one
I wouldn't say they're stupid but definitely overrated and over hyped
Thought they were used as status symbols/self defense weapons to denote samurai out of armor
I'm not too keen on my Japanese history so you better fact check just in case
I don’t even think they Cannonically have any Japanese shit
White scars do
But 90% of that is HH
i though white scars were mongols
Yes mostly that but they seem to have other Asian aspects
It's just mainly Turkic/mongol
They have that samurai armor stuff too
of course GW will lump in different asian cultures lol
But that’s dependent on how cannon you consider the HH card game art
Okay they draw from the tranquility system mostly
3 planets, 1 has literally zero lore
Tranquility 2 is a feudal jungle planet
Who believe the mantis warriors are the mantis angels of the god emperor
tranquility
they really picked the most common asian teaching for a system name?
And tranquility 3 is a desert planet with a shit laid of Valley’s

Yes
It’s a cool name to be fair but damn
Oh damn they lost that system
They use to draw from these system but after the badab war
They lost it all
Anyway I’ve been thinking up a Tyranid character and mantis warrior character that I’m excited to make models of
A Tyranid character?
Sounds intriguing
That's facts tho, he do carry some very cold drip
Flesh cape <3333
So I’m planning of making my own named deathleaper named the traveler
Since oruosboris use warp teleportation shenanigans
Time travel mainly
Simple name but considering what tyranids can do very well thought out
They what
Oruosboris fleet uses time travel, they are believed to use the warp to time travel back and forth from the past and future to multiply their forces
That’s why ordo chronos is on their ass
AS IF A BASIC HIVE FLEET WASN'T ALREADY A FUCKING PROBLEM
LMAO
Well the eye of terror
They also might be, completely unstable in existence
As they have a haze effect around them at all times
And their way of warfare is spamming flying units until they block out the sun
And use stealth tactics in the artificial darkness
So you're telling me they basically became Tyranid demons?
Maybe!
They are biologically less advance then normal nids
Which would be bad, until you realize all the new anti nid tactics didn’t work on them
Bro, next thing you know they evolve to be able to break down metal just to kill necrons
And they also pull it so fucking better
Qin Xa my beloved
Best example of a marine wearing lamellar style armour pieces without looking fucking ridicolous or a samurai copy
(also weirdly seems to be a much better pauldron practicality wise than the normal one)
Astartes stealing aesthetics from IRL cultures works better when its done moderately yeah
when its done too much it just looks very goofy
Also they have been stuck in a warzone with the Eldar since last edition within a system with not one, but two xenos species with time distortion/control abilities
Imo it has to maintain the typical form of an astartes for it to look good
Like for example we have Um and If with roman motiff and items, but never like this mf straight out of Ryse
P.s. Ryse still looks very good for some reason
Ryse is great
god thats shit
lmao
legit ruined Guilliman
His 40k model is way better
Yep, but also his HH model only has the lorica chestpiece and not the rest of this... stuff luckily
Wait that's HH's G-Man's model ?
Yes it is
I don't think the early FW ones come with helmets
some of them do
It’s a kitbash with his HH mini
Only ones I can remember having helmets is the lion and alpharius
For the lion it's an alt head and alpharius is alpharius
what happens if you take all space marines and put them in a ball shape in space
like a space marine planet
what even is that game
Space Wolves used to do it quite well, imho. Heads, Markings, and Accesories like pelts and fangs, were quite distinct. And they liked their axes. But the armor was quite standard. I think that also helps with tying everything together, so several chapters fighting alongside each other don't look like timetravellers.
Chapter Master is a Warhammer 40K strategy game made by players long ago, and this review takes a brief look at all the game could be. Space Marines have busy lives.

And then they got Stormrider. Why?
that's some wacky tundra terrain
That’s the model where I counted how many wolves on it
There were about 51 wolves
But I didn’t get under it
That helmet is ass lol he looks like an ogryn in a hydraulic press
A boat chariot, even with mini shields like on a dragon ship, sounds more Viking to me. 🤷♂️
And so... anachronistical, poser, impractical, badly designed?
how do you even control the direction of those wolves anyways
Familial bond
There are no wolves on Fenris
Are there any loyalist armies, non-grey knights, who are the best psykers?
or at least have a psyker focus who arent GKs
BA have psyker stuffs
Blood Ravens also
I think Mephiston is one of the most powerful psykers currently alive
blood angels don't really have any more psyker stuff than anyone else
This looks familiar
Why tf did they give the lammassu a chaos dwarf cutie mark
I mean I get it. It’s like helping a guy with a prank so you don’t get pranked
I wish there were badab war audio books :( I’ve grown to love the lore
It’s such a fucking mess that mistakes were made on all sides that the two most evil factions came out profiting
Blood ravens
Also I’m tempted to get executioners and run them as BT
Now we gotta find about the sign of the cog to see from what country they stole it
Reminding everyone the lothern skycutter exists
Ye, reminder that the skycutter also makes sense unlike the wolf sled
(also comes with tactical rocks for flying units wich is like, 10 points right out of the bat)
What if the lothern skycutter and wolf sled combined
Literally the worse of both worlda
It's like Santa and his reindeer but with wolves
the warlord of my friend's thousand sons warband got turned into a giant tzaangor by tzeentch so he had to shunt his spirit out of his body to avoid spawnification
i like how before getting any image or explanation of how to do this sign i could immediately imagine it in my head when a book mentions it lol
it's a pretty cool salute
no dumb specific rules like western salutes
except you need to make the aquila over your heart i think
Yeah its definitely pretty creative
and ye has to be over the chest
its a lot better than getting an aquila tattoo thats for sure

hey it's like starship trooper fans. they're a little confused but they got the spirit

ye it's just having the hand on the chest, there's even a one handed version if i remember right
Who does that?
Why get the Aquila when you can have a chaos symbol...
Not only is it creative, it is Albanian 🇦🇱
Because, if i have that, this is the last thing i will see, and i do not want to see this
Basically mostly stupid people who think it will look cool
like i wouldnt mind it (if it was a friend maybe but its still sus af) but due to the sharp shapes of the eagle people who dont know warhammer would definitely think you are a nazi
or like a skinhead, a lot of fans in general warn people over using the aquila as a tattoo because of it
That and like the Imperium has a lot more symbols you can use as tattoos
Dilara you seen the progress?
I have, looks great 👀
I finished making the Ork Necromunda gang, pretty good I think
Anyway
Tyranids learning drip is a pretty bizarre concept
Next thing you know they will spawn a warrior that looks like an imperial commissar
Yeah, it doesn't appear to be that well thought through. 😁 But then, I'm nobody to talk.
I know quite a few folk with warhammer tattoos, but iirc no imperial eagles
Oh yeah like i said anything else is fine
its just that the aquila is very fascist as a symbol lol
Pretty much everything else here is cool
And if you don't like these there also the other races
Orks are probably the most basic one you can get
Yeah it all depends honestly
I take it back some ork tattoos can go pretty hard
You think it's only the emblems oh boy, the faction specific representation symbols can only expand that even f****** further
I tend to socialise with warhammer chaos nerds, so that's common. Though one actually has a Tau fight scene on the back
yeah im not a fan of tattoos like that
mostly because as you age its gonna look awful lmao
I'm not sure people care that much. (I don't know, I'm not much of a tattoo person.) Perhaps it's more like a body positivity thing where you make your body more "you"
Yeeee pretty much
Most people getting a tattoo don't think at the fact their body can change with the years simply put
also this
its why if i ever get a tattoo im sticking to simple black/decal
and basically keeping it to a small symbol
Yeah it's mostly size
Mostly black big tattoo's can become literal black ink blobs if you "change" your body enough proportion due to gaining/losing weight and fat
Yeah when its like literal artwork tier stuff that thing is going to look AWFUL as time passes
some people legit dont think before getting stuff like this

Won't something that detailed just lose detail very quickly
It looks sick, but skin related stuff would be very noticeable i think
It will need some regular visits to your tattoo shop for a while due to decoloring
Yeah this is one of those big black blob risk situations, never let that guy train his back muscles
Yeee its deffo a spur of the moment tattoo decision
Or that poor chaos guy is gonna start stretching like he's about to become a chaos spawn
He'll turn into this
How to look like a nazi;
step one; this
I talk shit but I use to want a tattoo of each symbol of chaos
Bro is planning to turn into a daemon prince
Min maxing war crimes
Gotta get that most optimal build in order to become the more powerful better version of Be'lakor
Also need to avoid getting assassinated by belakor
Don't worry it's Be'lakor
Now that i think about it
Wouldn't it be neat if be'lakor just joins malice
Belakor Is so spiteful he completely fucks over his ally’s in AOS and 40k
Shame they aren’t real

Malice isn’t real don’t let the boomers trick you
I mean
Uhhh boomerhammers
Yeah but like the idea of Be'lakor joining to malice because his four sugar daddies don't give him money anymore is funny
Honestly Belakor just needs a legion or demon army of his own
He use to
And then Gw was like
‘No <3’
And pulverized them from the lore
Retcon gun activate
So my 2000 points of demons aren’t useable in 40k or AOS
I need to buy a new Belakor anyway
Doesn't he have those in AoS ?
Mortals that are under his allegiance
And rules to use SoD right ?
He never had a full faction with his own miniature line
Only had the Dark Emissary no ?
Yeah but it was fun
Gone but not forgotten
I missed summoning a pink horror horde on an objective
That doesn't seem like fun, to the person who is occupying the said objective
You know what would be funny?
If the next loyalist primarch to show up is clone Fulgrim escaped from Trazyn’s prison
Sons of the phoenix standing there confused looking at him like: "Dad?"
Guilliman: Looks at Cawl
Cawl: Beep boop, this unit toooooootally only used Dorne gene seed, beep boop....
True, but to be fair pink horrors have terrible melee and ranged
Belakor is broken as fuck in 10e lol
he's pretty much mandatory in every daemon list
You say that when fascists have and continue to bastardize already existing symbols.
It doesn't really matter
the aquila looks very bad
Try having it on your arm and going into a bar anywhere
Idk. I’m just sick of people using the word “Fascist” as a word to describe anything vaguely authoritarian.
Imagine using communism to describe worker’s unions.
You wouldn’t do that, would you?
authoritarianism inherently drifts toward open fascism by nature.
Thats because the Imperium is fascist and authoritarian
Its not vague
at all
i worker's union will not constantly press for communism, but any authoritarian government will press to install more fascist policies.
also the imperium is straight up fascist, let's not forget that.
Yeah like theres an entire storage closet size of evidence for it
its also feudal. remember the imperium takes the bad from more than one government system.
But feudal imho isn't the core identity of it.
really it's just a grab-bag of shitty balkinized planet governments under the umbrella of Big E Fashy-dress party.
In this case though its pretty accurate
the aquila is not suppose to be a basic symbol
its message is very clear when you look at it even from a non-40k POV
Perhaps. But if you go by the checklist by Umberto Eco, it fits pretty much perfectly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Definitions_of_fascism#Umberto_Eco
What constitutes a definition of fascism and fascist governments has been a complicated and highly disputed subject concerning the exact nature of fascism and its core tenets debated amongst historians, political scientists, and other scholars since Benito Mussolini first used the term in 1915. Historian Ian Kershaw once wrote that "trying to de...
the Imperium absolutely fits the definition of facism
which is fine like
They are meant to be horrible
the imperium is objectively evil
they are intended to be fascists. that is a plot point.
Yeah like it was made by british punks in 80's artwork like this is not exactly subtle either

I hate it as a buzzword because nobody can define what fascism actually is anymore.
How are we supposed to prevent the greatest atrocities from being repeated when people do not understand the failings of that system on anything more than a topical level?
I mean for Christ's sake, Eugenics is making a comeback.
Facism: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
The imperium exalts nation and race above the individual
has a centralized autocratic government
and has severe economic and social regimintation and forcible supression of the opposition
and whoo boy do they love to use force to opress the opposition!
Also shit like genetic purity and how "the human form is divine, everything else is bad and should be killed"
Yeah tau are more ""subtle"" regarding this
Meanwhile your average Imperial citizen is literally a slave
they literally have a stratified caste system
which is a step above slavery
But its def worse then a good chunk of irl countries lol
they're more british empire flavor fascism than classic. the tau have a certian concern with "looking good" that the imperium does not give a shit about and was very obvious in the old minis before they had marketing trying to make the furture nazis look heroic.
Thats true
tbf they make everyone look heroic nowadays
even fucking abbadon
has a heroic pose lol
Despite the fact you know he's abbadon
GW just likes doing the heroic pose for every faction nowadays tbh
marketing people are subhuman
bcs people eat that shit up for modeling
its why everyone has a goddamn tactical rock nowadays
and why most 3d prints now also have tactical rocks
you cannot escape the rock
Eh I see more similarities with people under communism with stuff being produced because the government says so and how food provisions are given out
irl communist nations are facist states
speaking as someone that used to paint on commission i goddamn hate "heroic" posing. 94% of the time there's like two areas where you cannot paint it without leaving the parts off but they're models so you can't properly shade them as two seperate parts.
"communist" nations.
actual communism has never existed bcs it doesn't fucking work
objectively speaking
Humans are too selfish lol
most of them have 0 actual communist policies. because communism doesn't scale up.
also that
Yep
pretty much why every commune experiment ever made
you can have like a town-sized communist government, but push it any larger and it shits the bed.
has fallen apart eventually
it just gets too big
and implodes
anyways @languid salmon Is this list good
most communist experiments fail because their leadership are not politically skilled
Its still fascist at the end of the day maily, no matter how many other forms of government you can try to apply to it.
Mostly because the Imperium openly does almost everything the nazis and romans do lol
In communism, you normally have a ruling party that pretends to represent the workers interests and pays lip service to everybody being equal. There's no such thing in the Imperium of man, imho.
Instead you have a leader, xenophobia and militarism.
Plus all the totalitarion stuff you have in both systems in practice.
^
Communism doesn't work because it relies too much upon the ideal that everyone agrees with the system and that system knows best.
Also because people are shitheads.
it can be both
^
North korea is facist
I prefer Theocracy to fascist, but that's solely because of my own interperetation. If you don't agree with me you can go suck an egg for all I care.
Khan™️
also Corax
Yep
Corax is the biggest hypocrite of them all lol
the only reason the Imperium hasnt collapsed yet is because of toy sales, realistically speaking they would entirely fracture the moment the Heresy was over and the Primarchs left

okay but its cool
that is also true
so more sales
Tbf if Big E had his way the galaxy would fail under the governance of the Senatorum Imperialis.
the heresy was written after the imperium was made
Imagine 1 billion politicians put in 1 room and have them try to make policy.
