No
The mod creator modeled boobs for them
This is vorn yeah
I've looked through the mod so I can tell
From a friend who was in the server, apparently the guy doing this would stay up for nights at a time just to implement h8rny shit
Ganger as well
Ganger?
2B is in one of the factions, and there's a Yor Forger as well
It’s a fucking rts mod
bruh shes dressed for WW3
Just like me
Ah gotcha
i cant wait for her costume to be added to the game tho ngl
its already in the files
just uh unfortunately gotta go bald
Also funnily enough she talks more then taddeus
In the books

Taddeus is very insane
Wait a minute, if you do your work as hating heretics a lot, woundt you be tecnically worshipping Khorne
Like if you hate them WELL i mean
Yes
Here's some more(ft fire emblem character for some reason)
But don’t worry about it
If you kill anyone you're technically feeding Khorne, since bloodshed fuels him directly
So the imperioums is fucking useless and stupid?
Yes
Yeah the imperium is literally a glorious last stand stretched out across a stupidly long time
Snake
It's fulgrim

WHEEZING
They did fulgrim dirty
Wolf you haven't seen the paragon suits

I'm telling you
The guy had a perfectly fine paragon model
And then he modeled saggy Booba for it
it looks awful, and it's very clear why GW didn't do it
Well yeah that's what design teams do
I mean, where humans, what else can you expect for us if not screwing everything?
The 40k community can whine all it wants but the fact is most people suck ass at design
DIlara, thanks for your time, sorry if my questions are annoying, i dont know that much about warhammer lore, but i see it interesting, thanks for your time
The Imperium died during the Siege of Terra, every year since then has been bought with the lives of millions
Not to expand or make the empire prosper, but to lash out like a dying animal to hurt it's enemies before it inevitably runs out of juice and dies
I wish 40k would explore it's decline more but for now we're stick in an endless loop where we look at the stuff that happened during/directly before the Indomitus crusade
joker can't stay in prison or you can't have any more batman comic books
tale as old as time
its very true to lore then lol
are Craftworld Ulthwe basically the Eldar's own Grey Knights (if we dont count Harlequins/Black Library)
should kill the emp off, legit
like they set that up in the first description of the guy ever as i understand it
that the stupid chair is failing
No
been failing for 40 irl years now
latest watchers of the throne novel states the Throne is actually going to fail within ||80 years|| in universe
my honest justification is the queen died irl
like to see some kinda psychic sucession crisis
Late reply sorry but its alright dude you didn't annoy me at all, don't worry about it
Are those combat stilettos?
I thought it was a dig about the fact that Fulgrim had to save his legion from Space Marine cancer/ space black plague?
depends
Dawn of War
if they are a fan of a more hack and slash with side of 3rd person shooter, go with the Space Marine. If they like more old school shooters like the original doom, then go with the Boltgun.
Dawn of war is if they are more into RTS
None of the games really introduce anything
Darktide has that intro
But other than that I dont know if the other games does an intro
Space Marine and Boltgun in my opinion can make a person jump into conclusions about some stuff
But space marine might be a softer introduction
Dawn of War 2 in its entirety could introduce it
But its very self contained
Very little exposition
Like if there was a setting in darktide that has the characters interactions toggled to
“New to settingl
Where your character predominantly asks about stuff
I think itd be neato
At this point
I think the codexes are like the only true to form like
From 0 introduction
Boltgun is made for the fans primarily i feel
Its for oldheads
Boltgun is also a sequel to Space Marine story-wise so
Yeah
The best way to fall into 40k is literally doing everything in it
Read codex
Read the lexicanum
Play the games you want
Read the books
Make lists of armies
^
How genestealer infect human ? Virus ?
Kiss, then crossbreeding
Not really that common, but there are so many Hive world that a lot are also infected
39 votes and 28 comments so far on Reddit
umm. thats literally their whole point of existing lol. well that and the pure breeds being front line shock troops
and then there was that one GSC on an agri-world that managed to infect some of the grain shipments with the gene parasite
oh so what happens if the ganger wars on terra get to close to the palace?
will some custodies just rush in a slaughter everyone?
Custodes most likely not, they still have Enforcer and Arbites
If that's not enough, I'd say the Imperial Guard regiment on Terra would be sent first
Or maybe a mixed force, overseen with the Custodes
477 votes and 195 comments so far on Reddit
Damn some scrary shit
I understand better now
oh no they defiantly turn people purple
But their spawns are purplish
they literally mutate them with nid DNA
so if its from Leviathan they can and do have purple skin
yeah true
why would they?
They are infected for outsiders
Also some people are born with infectious diseases
yeah thats a distenction the imperium doesnt make
ok that was a really cool little side story
Thank my weird archived memory of Reddit posts
man got mobbed by 30+ and only got a minor injury from a lucky hit
In the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the worlds are large cities that are interconnected? Or They exist in a similar form to ours, with continents and multiple countries, etc ? I wonder how Space Marines or even the Imperial Guard manage to conquer entire worlds in a matter of months. Also, it’s difficult for me to imagine how Konrad Curze was able to eliminate crime entirely on an entire planet.
it depends on the world in question
Primachs are crazy fast
as the old saying goes: "nobody can be a criminal if there is nobody to be a criminal"
and yeah Primachs are literal demigods
love the night lords
back in the 30k days, Space Marine Legions had Auxillary human support as well
so maybe around 5000 space marines, and their assets + 2 to 14 millions auxillary human soldiers
the chapters still do with their serfs and many even have combat ones
yeah but those guys dont go out most of the time
they stay on the ships or fortresses
but in 30k
which was what I was talking about
the legions had auxillary troops made from soldiers that were seconded to them
ah i thought that was just the imperial army
imperial army as it is was known didnt exist yet
So if I understand correctly, Konrad was running between each country?
probably massive trains between hive cities
also, Fear is like a virus
like you know
Batman
in 30k, the imperial army and navy were one thing, it seperated after the heresy
Yes but batman cant affect France or china
yeah once enough gangers get skinned alive for jaywalking most of them will start staying out of trouble
also we dont know whether Nostromo had other hive cities on it
Okk
wasnt Nostromo really small too? like moon sized
It was a hiveworld, but maybe not to the scale that Terra is now
no i mean the planet itself
Necromunda and like Atoma for darktide has like massive wastelands on the planet
not a lot of things can survive on the barren emptiness
And the Siege of Terra was a siege across the entire planet?
primarily near the hilmalayas where the imperial palace was
oh wow its right next the Ghoul Stars, that explains a lot
but the siege on terra eventually went everywhere on it
Okk
I think the Imperial Palace is in the hilmalayas, like the mountains were carved to build it
under everest was like the primarch project or something
would make sense as thats where the golden throne was
inb4 white supremacists cant handle the fact the imperial palace is in asia
lol
its honestly fitting given how the emperor during the unification wars was called "the lord of lighting"
what better place for a god of storms to live than the world's tallest mountain
To be honest, I’m really interested in the strategies they adopt for battles that scale across an entire planet. Thanks for the clarification.
multiple simultaneous deep strikes
jokes aside
uhh typically theyd have to insert a forward team somewhere theres no anti air
those troops would have to enter a hive city spire thing
and disable its void shields if it has any
or disable anti air capabalities
to like allow thunderhawk/stormbirds drop offs
thats why scouts and infiltrator units exists in all space marine legions
if they dont have those
theyd have to like spend hours or days
bombarding a city till it buckles down
Okk
i wonder. can a SM scout call in an orbital bombardment on like an enemy fort?
the ships would have advanced auspex scanners
probably dont need a scout to enter to pinpoint it
if you can just
laser blast it
true
like taking over a planet is dependent on how the primarch or lord commander wants to do it
Siege it with tanks, blow it up for deep striking possibilities
clandestine sabotage from the inside
hell, you can do all 3
once inside the hive city
you lose a lot of certain assets
cant bring most titans
most tanks
Oh
what kind of artilery and air support did they have in 30k? same as they have now or was there stuff they dont have anymore in 40k?
Already asked this in the oggy chat, but figured this would be a better suited place:
Are there any well known non-guardsman Cadians? Psykers, ogryns, anything.
they lose most artillery stuff in 40k because it doesnt fit how they work now, but they had bassilisk platforms and medusas too
If they want to attack a planet like us, they will launch blitz attacks on all the important locations within countries. I understand better now. I used to think it was literally a country-by-country invasion where they did everything one by one.
probably not Ogryns because Cadia isnt a high gravity planet, but they have psykers
depending on the tactics they can do that, but the Imperium knows numbers can win, and theyll pile up bodies for a victory
I see, interesting. I actually thought about this once I saw that we could pick Cadia for all 4 archetypes, so then I wondered what would a Cadian psyker's/zealot's story be like
Given how 99% of Cadian related stuff seems to be about the IG, at least from what I have seen
it was a fortress world, close to the eye of terror
war and soldiering is their life
psykers and zealots would be soldiers first, psykers and zealots second
but you can only have so much voicelines and stuff
^
before those .ogg/.wav files start taking up a lot of space
most high gravity planets that humans have held for thousands of years will have ogryns
thats why some ogryns in game would say
theyre the best type of ogryns
Convergent Evolution
Unlikely as everyone on the planet serves
There are Cadian Inquisitors on Cadia doing usual Inquisition stuff
Non cadians also do stop by on Cadia for business
They don't even have families, they have breeding programs like they did in Gears 3
At least that's how it is rn
Cadia was a fortress world. like all fortress worlds its sole purpose was war and making the tools and people to fight it
There are families, Creeds, and Creeds cousin from dawn of war 2
Its just not homely families
^
Even Catachans have normalish families
Those women be strapping their kids on themselves and burning plants away and shit
its "families" that exist for the purpose of being and making new soldiers. for Cadians that is
On another note

Idk who started this narrative about Lion and Roboute disagreeing on stupid bullshit
They’re different people but theyre brothers
Yeah and Lion is notably more extreme than Guilliman
Like people forget that primarchs see the big picture
people like to forget that non of the primarchs that stayed loyal saw big e as a god
They live to help the imperium, methods be damned
they live to carry out big e's will and vision
and rn they could do that by destorying everything the imperium is currently
"Hmm, boss is being very active and just saved me from a god killing vírus, I wonder if this means he's slowly coming back"
"THIS MUST MEAN HE FULLY 100% BELIEVES HES A GOD GUYS!"
More then half of them didn't.
Horus’s deceptions and lies screwed them too
The only ones that really do are the Khan, Dorn, G-man and maybe Vulkan.
which where started by Lorgar's brain fuckery
He died, because he saw a vision of it.
All of them, even the traitors before lorgars stupidity cared about the imperium
Thats their whole point was to conquer worlds and foster the imperium over time
Except for Angron.
ye
And Konrad.
Konrad sought a very fucked up way of peace and control
yeah
But it worked.
for like a little bit
once he stopped terrorizing them the people of Nostromo insantly went back to their criminal ways
which lead him to just exeterminatus the whole thing
some leader
His legion then had more and more butchers because both the nobility and gangers that came back got recruited
Only Sevatar and Talos are decent Night Lords.
^
Sevatar, decent
Alongside some other Terran-born.
Worlds the night lords conquered literally turned tail the second the night lords looked away
Even Nostramo
^
Raldoron is nice
Also do I uh
Make a mistake
Or keep my money
that is the mistake
even rn in its limited state its great
You make a solid case
Its your money
If you fret about spending something
Maybe sleep on the decision
See if you remember to do it when yoh wake up
yeah
Put it in savings and dont look at it
Its like buying stocks
You buy stocks and just ignore it

Idk I have like
Maybe 200 bucks left over
Actually no
300 in total
Most of which I can't spend
Same
My parents gave me a chunk of money but said its emergency money
I was like okay
Wont touch it till I die i guess
if your lucky
I've got some left over from tuition but since I told them I might try doing sketch commissions to buy stuff they've basically ordered me not to touch my own money
No kidding
Its how I got some money

Furries will spend money for commissions to help others before they help themselves ffs
being a furry is insanely expensive. they have the cash to burn
yeah one of the starter classes isnt full in yet and it tells you you might not want to play it if you plan to play over 10 hours
Very much a, “I succeeded in life by forcing myself to do what I needed to do, but have no skills or outlets for expressing my imagination or creativity.”
And on the flip side is that
Number 1 surgeon in america of some specialisation going
I like falco fucking buildings
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/805863292479602728/1112828761243668560/WEALTH.mov this is very accurate
very fair
I somehow manage to pop into those communities completely passively
same
I've never seen a woman and you expect me to draw one?

I just draw buff dudes

Nyantcha is a r34 artist that definitely feels like chewing gum art
Its nice in the first 4 seconds
But after that its just
Why am i still chewing
the sad and simple fact is, there just isnt much of a reason to put much effort into NSFW art because it will almost always sell well.
Some artists are really good at theirs because they like their work
Its why I like even like
Amateurish works
Like one layer artists on deviantart or whatever
I cry thinking about how
How I wish I can enjoy my work again
"That will be 3000 dollars for your mouse sir"
At some point of getting this art and animation diploma
I just couldnt find my love for drawing again
That said I fucking love my art tho
I got pride still
i tried being an artist when i was younger

i sucked at it hard
Let me guess, it's porn?
Well, then you better give me the fucking Mona Lisa for 5000
dont worry he will
Good art requires good money
Oooh
No that makes sense
Professionals have high standards even for themselves
Good for them
still that art is in the price range of a full on fursuit lol
In the world of commissions 2 things will cost you a kidney to get drawn and it's good porn and good furries apparently
My 3d sculpting teacher who worked on happy tree friends, has super high standards
Hey I mean, if they can afford it
He did what
Yeah he was one of the major production supervisers
Come on never seen happy tree friends?
I watched the hell out of Happy Tree Friends when I was 11
you watch that at age 11?
Yeah
Yes?
Sculpting clay and 3d (both of which self taught whilst teaching still)
Monster of a teacher
Gore videos were being traded around by others the second we got access to phones
People are fucked up
Happy Tree Friends was life
Especially trade schoolers apparently
true
I can say fist of the north star was my first introduction to violence on tv
and the there is me whom would have got grounded for a week if my parents saw me watching something like happy tree friends lol
I played Dawn of War when I was 3
I watched 80s flicks with my dad when i was a preteen
Btw, getting back to Lore, just watched The Sadness and that's pretty much how I expect your local slaneesh cultist to act around
They didn't like me watching stuff like that but they also didn't actively supervise me
kek
That a movie or summat
Movie
That's what I thought when I was watching this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoZJdil0_HI&ab_channel=idioglossia2
Eyes wide shut is the "sane" side of the cultists
Slaaneshi cults are about pleasure, dont need to be sexual
Can be drugs
Like
Trainspotting
Or people really obssesed with something specifically
Yeah but I think it's not dissimilar to like, the average spire cult
Just a ton of nobles being weird
weirder than normal*

Yeah, the sadness is fun for this because basically the infected in the film go full dark Eldar and try to find not infected to make them suffer shitton of pain before dying/turning
Also the soundtrack is very nice wahammer ambience
wtf is wrong with my brain? i just read pain as pleasure lol
Is this a fucking rick and morty refernce
What is
Yep, shudder original, think of it zombie film but all zombies are psycho killers
I think we can all agree, the marlin is the best part about this.

That's an hell raiser reference
no it literally just happened lol. had to re-read it to make sure lol
i must still be grogy from waking up lol
I mean, in the film the infected's brain connect the two so you weren't far off lol
Nah, we'll put you in the most modest and safe of rooms to live a modest and boring life
thats just my life rn lol
so i assume a void ship's "arch-militant" is like the chief of security?
arch-militant is the final step for your classic veteran archetype basically
ah
This is a pretty good tl:Dr of arch militants (atleast the rpg class, but it works well too for lore)
the arch-militant we meet at the start of rogue trader is great
Mort
with a melta gun
ye in general the whole ship cast of the rogue trader game is pretty good
sadge most dialogue wasn't voiced in the alpha and had to read with the sound of fucking industrial machines in the background
didn't try the beta yet
im loving it
sooo... i was looking at the very old Astronomican book to find info regarding Hylgar's Hell Raisers, and damn first edition just didn't give a shit at who's equipment was what lol
Mesh armour and Shuriken Catapults these guardsmen sound more like eldar to me lol
(also god damn 20 power armours for a regimental formation)
there is imperial mesh armor in this game lol. it gives extra ranged DR
yeah but remember this is first edition where everyone had everything basically lol
true
like, they also have land raiders and speeder's
The best book to buy ?
The angron one is good ?
Haven't even read a review of that one. Maybe.
Also Jesus my French is rusty, that's so simple and my brain still took a minute to load
It's fine, I'm more yelling at myself lmao
Thanks btw
You saved me and my friend
We want start reading so bad
Np
Personally i also recommend dark imperium
I buy it
Its a big ahh book
So i wont spoil myself but it happen after cadia right ?
Yeah
I see guilliman fight on the cover
Its after indominus
Ok thanks
can someone please explain the tech religion to me?
It just seems like they combine tech and religious buzzwords together in a not very clever way.
Its hard to explain a relgion
It predates the imperium thats for sure
They believe knowledge is the ultimate like
Goal or something
And every human is a storage for knowledge so they seek more better ways to preserve knowledge
Basically they worship the machines that terraformed mars and these life giving machines were worshipped as holy. This religion expanded into all machines and thus became the mechanicum
Well they worship the deus mechanicus
Not the machines that terraformed mars
The Emperor of Mankind is seen as the avatar of the machine god
Hence the title
Omnissiah
Machines more or less are seen as the next necessary steps to human advancement
Speaking of mechanicus, where did the machine spirits come from
Machines that got more advanced appeared to have its own behaviour
Its just the inner workings of a machine
Not AI
Machine spirits could be misunderstood ai but dont let a tech priest hear that
Well theyre not AI
Titans are said to have there own will
Thats definitely either an ai or very close to one
The machine spirits of bigger machine vehicles have some degree of combination of organic and mechanical
In the sense of titans and some space marine tanks
You have to mentally interface with the machines
Knights and titans have Throne Mechanicums
Its like pacific rim
The machine will somehow get these same behaviours from its occupants
Making a more visible machine spirit
So the more advanced the machine the sentient it is?
Yeah
Not really
That explains the castigator titan

Hence the throne mechanicum
i asked this ages ago and got a different answer so i'll ask again: are the machine spirits like, real in setting
They are real
Machine Spirits for somethings are very real
never had the pleasure
Yesterday I couldn't get a weed whacker to start up. I paused, caressed it, and said praise to the machine spirit. The weed whacker started up after that
Land raiders and drop pods have machine spirits that are smart enough
Just sayin
To behave on its own
But a leman russ has a “machine spirit”
Which is just how they describe its inner workings
It can be half sentient
It's very real, as in lore, apparently some machine spirits are so violent they can still take control of the vehicles after the crew is dead
But not sapient
The biggest example being in Rynns World
i attribute every truely fucked piece of computer hardware or software as being haunted by malevolent ghosts, ww2 pilots talked about gremlins, etc. but like, i couldn't solve a fucked up OS install with an exorcism, no matter how tempted i sometimes am
Its like how we have cars now where if you take care of the machine
Service it
Oil change
Fix the coolant
Youre essentially fixing the machine spirit in 40k terms
you know it's useful to have a point after which you just say "what will fix my computer?" "holy water and a stalwart priest"
They use holy oils
Go to heavily catholic countries and you can find news about priests blessing servers
Hardcore Islamic folks will occasionally say a prayer everytime they start their car
You just have to say a prayer once when you get the car lmao
No need for it everytime
if you have ever sat through memory training on a fresh expensive build waiting for it to post you have prayed to a kind of machine spirit, i assure you
Machine Spirit is just how people in 40k rationalise the workings of the machine
it exists in a quantum superposition of fixed and not fixed
Next time the servers at work have an issue ill pray to them
It might work
Who knows
Praying to the machine spirit is just a very superstitious way of saying
Do your maintenance
With that said
Small machines like your lasgun
Will have a “machine spirit”
But big things that require neural interfacing?
Like dreadnoughts, some space marine tanks, and big things like knights up to titans?
They have Machine Spirits
parts of the human occupants mind and "soul" will bleed into it
hence the behaviour
maybe
GW doesnt really fully explain this shit
GW doesn't explain a lot of shit
Anyone know how long the Rogue Trader beta will last?
Month or two? However long wotr's beta was is probably a good barometer
A mod on their discord said until release so maybe a little longer
That seems to be how long the wotr beta lasted as well soooo
That was me with boltgun
I read it was lasting until release
explaining "machine spirit" defeats the purpose of the term, which is to cover literally everything the writers don't fully understand techwise without looking stupid
everything from supercomputers to the automatic recevier of an autogun (hint: that's a spring) have been called "machine spirit" because the writers are kinda dumb.
well people asked what it is, and i tried to explain to the best of my abilities remembering tidbits of stuff and double checking from lexicanum
i dont want to just start it out and say, "it means jackshit, and GW is lazy, sod off."
lexicanum is probably worse than making shit up, to be honest.
Imagine needing the lexicanum and not knowing your techna linguis by heart
yeah, screw you adam, this is your fault!

The one from New Vegas
I need to purge my eyeballs after reading this
Tbh the main thing with machine spirits is it’s not one thing
It varies from basically just being the electronics inside a pager to being a full fledged borderline or actual AI
Dilara, lookamy coat of arms
Ok tbh it’s not inconsistent writing really it’s intentionally varied and not super well understood in universe
A few patch cycles after release, like most Owlcat games
well that was kind of core to my inquiry
like if a tau and a tech priest got stranded on a planet, enemy mine style and had to work together
and the tech priest is like, i'm going to go cast a prayer spell on this machine to make it work
entirely divorced from the other context or whatever
So to be clear, while some of their little prayers and canticles aren’t needed
would the tau see the priest doing actual work in the form of a prayer
It is real stuff
like could the tau see a malevolent machine spirit ghost
Like it’s actual maintenance procedures just made into a religious ritual
Its inconsistent. Because the writers cannot explain what a machine spirit is without really breaking the lore too much.
it is hard to articulate that i'm asking how literally true this typically is without going "okay there's a normal person watching", lol
It’s based off a short story called “A Canticle for Liebowitz” which is about catholic monks who memorize how stuff works by making the procedures into rituals
right they memorize calculus and it actually is calculus
Post apocalyptic monks
it's coached in prayer terms but it's like literally the same formulas etc
I mean it doesnt take a genius writer to go
The entire Ad Mech deal is heavily rooted in that
its entirely to leave room for the writers to work yeah
or just write lazy deus ex machinas
They’re not supposed to be consistent cause they’re not all the same
lol
Titans machine spirits are a far cry from a bolters machine spirit
Sometimes but there’s consistency is levels of machine spirits normally
Titans tend to act a certain way
I mean even that its just
"the bigger the machine the harder the spirit"
Dont quote me on that

Titans will actively try dominating you to go on a rampage
Some will, it depends on how old they are and their “personality”
Princeps who don’t die in combat tend to die from finally losing themsleves to the titans machine spirit and becoming one with it.
And the bigger the Titan, the faster that happens.
The Titan succs your soul
I will soothe it with fancy drawings
I definatly will be quoting you on that
well there's inconsistancy i mean like, i guess the foundational question i'm asking is, is the machine spirit like, correct
are machine priests deluded and more or less cargo culting a la tech priests as you might see, or is their religion like objectively correct, or is it a special quality of human tech or maybe specifically martian human tech, etc etc
but it's clearly not written in a clear cut way
back to enemy mine, if the tech priest had to work on a tau piece of tech, planets of lives hang in the balance, he's going to be executed for it and he knows it last desperate thing, sort of deal
and he did a prayer on a tau drive or something
would it like, fizzle? would it be like an ork mechanic trying to fix a human drive, just a primitive thing completely fucking it around but lacking ork magic
or would the tau ship have a machine spirit that is normally placated by tau engineering and it would go shit this prayer owns i like this little red thing and work
(and again i am aware the written answer is "lol don't think about it" or "yes/no/absolutely/never all at once")
so will the chair spin around to face the wheel when going into the warp?
true
It’s gonna get awkward if it stops halfway through the rotation
I’ll have you know I’m not an Evil Overlord, I’m just Evil. My crew is way too unruly and my retinue doesn’t listen to me enough for me to be an Overlord
in a hive city is a majority of the environments supposed to be just these urban area?
the act of building and managing the pollution of a hive almost always ruins the remainder of the planet
daot had machines to prevent this and they're almost all broken
i like it
It's indeed purposefully a shithole
a shithole filled with dystopian Darwinistic tribal houses that are always at war tho not always in open armed conflict. unless its the underhive ofc
Evil overlords always get better gaming chairs
Stupid question, I forgot can space marines get PTSD or do they got the fuckinh trauma suppression organ
Yeah they can get PTSD
Baller
They're just semi resilient to it's actual effects in combat
Like Cato has it iirc
And as a side effect he's just ultradepressed
My eyes hurt
Look no further then the Blood Angels.
And their successors.
thats not really PTSD more just psychically induced trauma
so like retail PTSD.
Dunno, maybe it feels good while it kills you
If you say this phrase to a psychologist theyre gonna maul you
Gaming time
Had a moment playing vermintide where I struggled to explain the difference between a crypt ghoul and a crypt horror
They seem to be made up for darktide
iirc crypt horror=crypt ghoul that was fed vampire blood
this is a funny rule
oh wow so the voidborn do actually exabit some of the theorized effects of being born on space ships/stations
Hey guys, what personality you recommend for ogryn? (I know dilara has good taste)
Bodyguard. Since he's the most intelligent Ogryn. And is not just a caricature like Brawler's "RATIONS" or Bully's schoolyard bully energy.
IMO
ok, thanks
Yeah but how do you explain that to someone who literally knows nothing about Warhammer vampire lore
I did say that but it's like big naked man mutated and fed evil vampire blood now has bones sticking out
Crypt ghouls are just people that eat dead bodies
yeah just tell them that and tell them the horrors are just really big versions that have been empowered by vampire blood would be my guess
Ye that's what I ended up saying
I just felt like a loremaster ghoul explaining the arts of necromancy
Oi i resent that, i only bully those smaller than me, and the stinkies too
True that Gera true that @plush mason
Crypt Ghoul: Ghoul that was forced to cannibalise Ghouls to survive and became stronger
Crypt Horror: Ghoul who got Vampire Blood
Thank u
Now that I think about it, we have only seen Hotshot Lasguns (not backpack powered) only 2 times in media as they seem only to appear on the old stormtroopers and the Severan Dominate Shock Troops
Does the Hotshot Longlas have a backpack ?
Nope
The Hotshot Marksman Rifle is a type of Sniper weapon used by Imperial Guard Kasrkin, based upon the Hotshot Lasgun.[1]
How do you think the Prismata crystal will end being used ?
Imo three ways it can go
- as you or someone else said it will be used to power up some map gimmick
- Custom pattern of lasgun, or maybe new blessings
- The one I hope for just cause how fun it would be seeing everyone reaction, have it be a lore reason for recon Las buffs lol
Also imo infernus could have been an alternate fire mode for recon or something
If Melk and Hallowette is present. They have an elevator conversation that implies it's gonna be sold to another unknown party and that Hallowette will be getting a 20% cut off of it.
Do you know what morrow or others say? Didn't play the map yet
Same
Hadron will put them to good use my ass then lol
Morrow instead during the elevator monlogue before reaching the Ascension Riser. He instead reminisces about how if the Rejects were in Armageddon. They would be heroes = dead. Thats the only one I've heard so far. He seems to start opening up to the Rejects more in the mission.
I think mission control for Ascension Riser 31 is only Morrow and Hallowette + Melk
That's something I noticed in general with the recent update
On another pre-mission introduction he also says something along the lines of "Go in, Get Out, then we get drunk"
The rumours about him are still rampant
Now some say he was Macragge. Saved Lord Calgar himself apparently.
Wot
To quote the Cadian veteran
"And here I thought he was there when the Emperor slew Horus!"
fav line from the game

I heard Marrow fought beside Guilliman when he was resurrected
Slew a khornite bezerker with his revolver
Shot him clean through the eye
Which loyalist Space Marine can handle him in a 1v1?
Malum Caedo
Tiberos.
Boltgun ?
Yeah
Yeah he is so strong
I didnt play the game so i trust you
Maybe molouch chapter master of the minotaurs
Even a custodes stated he might not of been able to take him
For any names character it depends on the PoV and if they really want to kill a character
Seriously ?
Idk what is minotaurs
a chapter filled with very unruly space marines
I tought custodes was unable to lose
They have a roman gladator aesthetic
Do you care about spoilers for watchers of the throne?
The custodes in question was alone though with a proper squad's or two's worth of minotaurs behind Moloch
that alone is a spoiler tbh
I mean no but care for others
You guys think even the most vague information is a spoiler
Im good
A chapter showing up in a book isnt a spoiler
No problem bro
You can spoil me dw
it's a pretty big plot point in that book whom are doing all those actions there but go off
Ill dm you
Good
And i gave no indication of the reason, plot, or details.

Oh god Nids Got Skaven'd
There's no nids near Holy Terra
As ever religion is bad
gotta check Ian's new video
any ultramarine captain with the right author
I cant wait to get my marines and paint them blue and watch prople seeth when i show them off
Their tears are like a fine wine
I'm working on a big lore drop rn
Noice
I may need to draw some landscape stuff
Ultramarine hate is so 2008
There are people who still hate them because redbull gasoline was the first primarch back
indeed, and it's tiring
The ever curious case of someone loving Titus, but hating Cato
"Ultramarines get everything"
I havnt read any books with cato more than a supporting character. I actually like him
is titus the ultramarine captain from that old space marine game?
Who's character barely extends beyond one liners yes
i played that a bunch when i was a bit younger
I hope we get a bit more character in the second game
slightly hyped about space marine 2 but trying not to get my hopes up too much
it looks pretty promising
the engine for space marine was perfect, like how it actually felt to manoeuvre the environments and use the weapons and seamlessly switch from melee to ranged
The only thing I'm not thrilled about is the dialogue we've heard so far
A) Titus sounds bad when not shouting
B) Painful exposition
i've been avoiding anything about it, especially because it's been so long since the original came out
the exposition could just as well be trailer mumbo jumbo
one of the problems with 40k is there is often a bunch of exposition needed to get across the importance of certain plot beats and key characters
I guess it doesn't help that his VA sucks lmao
i found the first game has a good amount of it but a lot of stuff definitely made a lot more sense when i replayed it recently with a much better knowledge of the setting vs when i first played it years ago as a kid getting into 40k for the first time
I hate the Ultrasmurfs for being space Romans without any of the flaws that make Rome as an empire interesting.
There’s a reason why there is a meme that good ultramarine characters SUCK at being Ultramarines.
Same thing with the Space Wolves.
Vikings in name only.
Malum Caedo is cooler than Titus and I don't even care for Boltgun
Malum caedo is a vortex of death
Tbf what do you expect from the guy who's name means I Slay Evil
why you gotta make it sound like Romans are a fantasy society
Im like 80 percent sure dudes the living embodyment of khorne
Mmh yes, I too would love the changing of the Ultramarines Chapter Master to be made by their Honour Guard stabbing their leader in the back because they are dissatisfied
He's the Tuska Daemon Killa of the Imperium
Its almost like they are psychologicaly indoctrinated to be loyal

Yeah lol, I wouldn't really want a legion of superhumans backstabbing each other for their personal political interests thank you
I already have enough of that living in modern Italy
Without the superhumans
I mean, you don't stay on the winning side of history without some fancy switcheroo's
Sadge the Dieprian Mountain Men got shafted by the Tau through, loved the Alpini anesthetic
I mean 20th century military leaders didnt exactly win many battles
We went full circle from invading less tech advanced populations to getting fully shafted for not keeping up and starting conflicts where we couldn't keep up lol
They took advantage of those who had the same flaws as themselves
I only know of Italy thx to Internet Historian's Cost of Concordia video
So its either a Schettino or a De Falco on Italy for me
Lol
(funny enough IH video is also one of the most comprehensive of what happened)
Or wait it's informative?
Can't remember the term
It's good
Both are correct terms to use
Its such a good video and I love the presentation
Like in your perspective. How did Schettino even become a ship captain
I have some ideas for structure for my guys, before it used to be very weird and stupid but now I've got some better ideas
Current idea: Companies are lead by Lords(Captains), I'm debating calling the LTs something like Knight Errants, though not sure
The Captains retain a household guard of handpicked marines, basically just Sword Brethren for the BT
Companies can be split into two demi companies called Errantries, there's one LT for each
Then just normal codex stuff from there
Sounds good, maybe only knight Errant is eh.
Was thinking of borrowing Marshal or Castellan
Originally wanted Baron but that's a bit too high on the chain
That or I just keep LT as it is
You could go for Bannermen
Or well, Banneret if you want to go historical names
(and also can have the Banneret actually have their banners on their backpacks)
Yep, you could also use stuff like bladeguards shield shaped insignia, personal coat of arms or stuff like that from knight orders to visually signify rank without the shoulder-insigna
Or more modern knight stuff, like how a British Knight Grand Cross uses a star on their chest and a sash to represent their rank
Good ideas
I might add in purple to my schemes too, for higher ranks
Maybe for accessories
I mean, purple by default is royalty so it can work well with rank
That's the intent yeah
I could use like
A quartered shield
To show company and squad numbers
Shoulderpads are dark grey...
So maybe a red shield above the icon for battlefield role, which would be white, and white numbers in the shield to denote either
I am very quickly becoming a Lamenters fanboy
Lamenter lore is great
people just overblow it a lot
the simplicity of it is what makes it compelling
Yeah the damn
Doge hammer video got me.
Also their battlecry is probably in my top 5
Maybe higher
its super good
I need to do something like that to get viral....
i was going to paint my dark imperium marines lamenters but yellow is too hard
hey all
alot of pro painters i see piant yellow as basically light oranges lmao
light orange on dark orange
liek this
yeah see that doesn't read as yellow to me that reads as orange
i know why they do it, it's because yellow is impossible to work with
but it's still not what i'd want
if you need yellow
alot of people use yellow primer
ill dm you my prefered bran
d
Highlights
Goated
So what’s peoples opinions on tyranid lore vs world eater lore
too much and too much, let them just be things you need to kill.
Lmao
What’s you guys favorite chaos god?
the one god of unbeleif.
Slaanesh
a dead one
The Imperial Tangerines hailing from the world Satsuma
Khorne/Slaanesh
of all the gods to like equally lol
Tzeentch/Khorne
I like the prettier slaanesh aesthetics and swordmaster/seductress tropes
For Khorne I love red and he can have some cool knight archetypes
I wish hashut was in 40k, making some of the legions/people worship lesser chaos entities would actually be cool and have potential for cool ideas but damn
I wish they were used more
the navy officer origin just looks awesome
Clipping or ripped clothes ? (Though it's a beta, so not really problematic)
Can you send me more of these
I'm very tempted to buy it
But I don't think it'd go over well
its in beta rn
may be best to wait
a lot of the stuff isnt in rn and ofc there are a lot of bugs tho thankfully nothing too game breaking so far
Alas 50 dolaroons is a lot of money and I'm already on thin ice
Oh shit I can actually make my character now?
ye the beta has an actual character creator tho its still a bit limited
Does it still start on the second act?
Neat
Thank god nothing has changed since I stopped paying attention to the discord months ago.
why would it change?
Who?

Exactly. crawls back into my rat hole
People somehow reading stuff and learning lore. Stuff that nerds do
I was gonna check your logs but its entirely in the zealot channel and I dont want to look into that trashfire
LOL
My lore chat logs go like...months ago
oh i thought you meant the whole discord not just this channel lol
And my zealot chat and lore chat are vastly different. I'm a degen in there unlike here
Yeah i was confused too
its zealot chat, you have to be degen to last longer than a few seconds there
You are damn right.
the same chat that says thunder-hammer is apparently bad
i guess they got nurgle's rot in their brain 😔
If it isn't ideal then it's decent at best. Idk I kinda just get the blessings I want, roll with the perks, and just hit stuff
Skill > equipment.
I brought a basic ass chainsword to a damnation team and did well with em.
If it isn't ideal then it's decent at best. Idk I kinda just get the blessings I want, roll with the perks, and just hit stuff
...did i send that twice?
so question, how powerful does an inquisitor need to be to get a rogue trader working for them? or is it just another case of weird muddy soft power crap?
Oh god discord is going nuts
Yeah it is oh no. Death be upon us
Woe, nurgle cometh
Thats it. Bring about the virus bombs admiral. We are hitting discord HQ
