honestly you gotta wonder what big E's proportions are like when you see things like this
like is his neck super long or do his arms pop out from his ribcage
maybe the emperor was the mutant all along
smh
this is why he had to wipe out the history of humanity or whatever, so no-one knew that all anatolians were space wizards
The Turks were his first scions
lmfao
Sort of wonder how Big E even infiltrated human society if he is a giant of a man
he could change form canonically
including presenting as both genders or otherwise as many different historical figures (and in particular tyrants)
Yeah hes a biomancer
the fact that he could change his form into anything was revealed as earlier as Master of Mankind, the new Siege book just said it more plainly
What was the emperor doing in the 1st millennia early to mid 1900s
when i last asked i was told he definitely wasn't genghis khan, which is stupid, but there's a ghengis khan demon toy so
He isnt represented as any historical figures for the most part because it would be stupid and mostly pretty offensive lol
He's sort of vaguely implied to be Saint George
i feel like you could get away with some more obscure ones, but really not a great avenue of pursuit
Yeah or more just the inspiration for his tapestry
lmao, I know...saint George the dragon slayer?
is he christ, cause he seems a lot like christ
Yes, apparently him fighting the void dragon may have inspired it
It's not said directly
also iirc the 40k world and ours diverged a long time ago so it's not 1:1
The entire lore for him around our era is "he watched humanity from the shadows and sometimes tried to interfere with light pokings but did nothing"
Also nah its basically 1 on 1 until humanity invents space travel
stuff like the gulf war and WW1 still happened
something something morphogenic historigram echoes something something
Isn't Genghis said to be Doombreed?
And the formation of UN happened as sorted insinuated with that confederacy thing
No thats not related either
i wonder if they ever thought about making like, little golden throne necklaces in fiction and stuff but thought that would be too on the nose
DAoT humanity wasn't a confederacy
it was more just disjointed human groups inhabiting planets doing their own thing
and sometimes warring with each other because humanity lol
Understandable, we mon'keigh be like that
We do the monke dance
it's super ambiguous right? yeah it's definitely clear they fought often but they also shared like, a crazy amount in terms of their magic make anything machines and there's constant expansion etc, so there might have been an or empires over the period that rose and fell
Still would be pretty neat if there was an old faction from pre-imperial earth that's still out there in the void
there was probably not a single coherent polity but there clearly was some kind of trade network eg
Yeah basically imagine star trek but no Federation
Humanity just chilled and did their own thing on their own bubbles of influence
Like what we do these days
apparently they did this on one occasion where the early empire found another imperium and another would be emperor?
the emperor is explicitly alexander and suggested to be jesus or his disciples
when i find out he was alexander i laughed and laughed and laughed it was so fucking funny
Alexander yes, Jesus no
that was revelaed in the last Siege book i think
along with how he was the one that burned down the Tower of Babel
yeah but doesn't one of the uuuhhhh
because memes
did he like fake killing his dad? was it a changeling thing
doesn't the line include something that suggests he may have been jesus cause horus is like "You were too meek to inherit the Earth"
was he phillip, did he stage his own possible assassination?
raises so many questions
so it's not like GW is going and saying "THE EMPEROR IS JESUS" but instead "the emperor may be jesus or an early christian oohohohohhooohohhoh"
Cool, but still just another crooked imperium. It'll be basically meeting one's own twin like Lindsey Lohan did in parent trap
all I know is he founded r/atheism
clearly the early prototype of the Imperial Truth
my favourite fanon there is that he is christ, and the reason he was so hugely against churches was for how it worked out the first time he tried
Only to be the new head of a new religion
i do not like the idea he is jesus tbh
right you get nailed to something one way or the other
i like the idea that the emperor is a parade of failed warlords
or rather, that he is both failed and successful warlords but because the things he makes falls apart (because all things fall apart) he thinks they're all failures
which is why he keeps making stupid decisoins because he's obsessed with making something permanent when all things are transient
This happens in Horus Rising, the world they invade is decently advanced and the inhabitants are convinced they're on earth
They have their own psyker emperor and golden throne
Damn...they conquered Earth...
i kind of like interpretations where he sucks and the golden throne is kind of a cosmic cuckchair where he can watch the horrible shit he's made forever
What a fun job
i avoid calling it a "job" because ill get people saying "Lmao you consider this a job? Typical discord mod"

"Got this Emoji from r/starcitizen" dilara do you play star citizen?
No im just there for emotes
lmao
for a second i thought you were one of the folk fleeced by the wacky guys who made star citizen
You're a servant of the imperium...a servant doesn't get compensated for their duty to the imperium
That really puts into question how the manufacturum workers in the hive city even get compensated when they live and eat in the factory
Thats kind of it honestly
you get food
lmao
almost nobody in the Imperium working-class wise do it because they got a choice. Its a mix of indoctrination and slave-labor.
Sounds like real life....yay
Yeah pretty much
IRL at least its hidden with money and a proper workplace with hygiene

I wouldn't be too sure about the workplace and Hygiene, unless upper hiver
Still, a mid-upper hiver can pursue their passions.
Cadian Honour has a good example about a mid-hiver being a painter
You guys have hygiene?
She was referred to as the late sulla so I think its fine
Cain is well over a hundred years old by the time he's teaching in the schola
Possibly semi-canon, he has been a religious prophet at least once, and he killed Satan, in the End of the DAOT/Mid unification, which could be considered the end period
Oh I know, and the rules still apply too...mid-hiver = middle class after all
what are high jeans
Space Marines when they eat tyranid meat
has that actually happened before?
i wish
despite having the ability to eat almost anything
(even tree bark apparently, as mentioned by Ragnar in some space wolf book)
we dont see Marines eating a lot
My money's on the Flesh Tearers doing something like this
give me a story about a marine having to eat a chaos lord / daemon prince's brain in order to find out some crucial information knowing it's a bad idea
then it's a race against the clock to accomplish the objective before they are overcome with the power of chaos and lose control of their mind to the creature they vored
Isn’t it extremely acidic?
My guy, it's not very special to be able to eat tree bark
Not nutritious enough
In the first dark angels book
They ate like
Boring meatloaf
And essentially sugar water
dark angels once again pissing off everyone else by refusing to make all their rituals edgy and instead chanting in a dark room about their convictions before having a nice midday nap.
The dark angels have surprisingly sane rituals
Does a blank's effects cease the second they die? And/or if a psyker ate pariah corpse starch, would they feel any more ill than usual?
@hexed trail autocannons ogryn
Thought that was an ultra heavy stubber
Nah, that's more similar to the Tommy guns they wielded way way back
technically, an autocannon is a sort of stubgun, it's just using a large enough caliber it can fire autocannon rounds, which are high explosive anti-tank.
it's like an immaterium thing, that's the weird part. they don't have souls. so i'd blind guess that the second the meat machine stops moving it stops being eerie
Lobster Soul my beloved
Mmm lobster soul sandwich my favorite
Damn, time to rewatch it... Emperor clearly gave me the sign.
Haven't eaten lobster inage
I retreat here because gen chat is boring again
Im glad people get mad at Fatshark fixing the stuff they asked for again
Single out "Oh btw this is a cosmetic shop where you can use ducats"
"WTF THEY BRINGING BACK SHOP REEEE"
Its like they want to cry about everything, or something
I hate everyone

But you know what I like
Vests

Cant wait for more stuff to dress my dollies for darktide
You know I wonder how many people are praying that Darktide adds Kreig armor
I hope they get thrown off a tall edge(in game)
I want a castellan great coat so I can actually dress my character like how I drew mine
Its definitely gonna happen
Or a nice little hat like a mordian
people like tlaking shit but we all know everyone is going to be a sellout and buy it
||Including me||

Why do you say this like it’s a bad thing
Because Krieg is cringe
and so is their 90% fanbase
Wel
Their fans are cringe
Kriegs on their own
Were fine
Till all the goddamn wehraboos came out
Actually funny story, a friend joined a server a while ago with a krieg as his pfp and someone called him a nazi
He wasn’t doing weird shit he just had the pfp

He likes krieg

I should paint some krieg guys with trans masks (an excellent pun) and then post them on reddit so I can harvest the powerful emotions for a slaaneshi ritual
Krieg would never fall to chaos
How can fall if already rock bottom?
Unironically I really like Krieg. I think there's a lot of potential for good content and characters there, and even the whacked out ultramartyr memes can be funny if they're done right
Yeah the cult of Sacrifice is p cool
I'd love a story about a krieger who has a "wait, it's all bullshit?" moment
stfu with that "blah blah it's grimdark because he killed 10 billion people and then stomped around in the blood", give me "it's grimdark because the universe is a joke and this man specifically is the punchline"
So... To talk both about lore and the new update, who you think is gonna be the new traitor?
why haven't any perpetuals showed up for so fuckin long now? YOu'd think with how many humans die in the current settings atleast one of them the past 10k years would be a perpetual.
ah okay, I would think the emperor would like send one of them purple custodies to bring them back to terra since they are useful right?
You wouldnt know youre a perpetual unless you accidentally die
yeah and the billions of humans that die in the guard
over 10k yeaars you would think there was 1
Yeah
Anval Thawn
@storm jungle the new space marine 2 stuff
Is it enough for you yet

Space Marine 2?
"They're planning something"
"These beasts? What could they be planning"
"These are but mere drones, something bigger is behind this"
"What could possibly be planning for these things?"
"A worthy foe"
I'm skeptical
It showed literally nothing again so

Just sounds like it's hyping up the Swarmlord, which really wouldn't be a huge surprise
The only other thing I could see is it's chaos again, but it'd be so bad if the plot twist is "Chaos is controlling the tyranids"
Inb4 fucking old one eye is the boss
You fought through dozens of stages, epic boss music plays
Cutscene
"you died"
get deathleaper'd
Old One Eye is a recurring boss
That would be funny
I do think theyre gonna shoe horn chaos into it somehow
Prolly gonna be stupid but I’ve read dumber shit
I mean, they did it out of nowhere on the first one
They can do it again
Also you know, graia being half chaos corrupted in boltgun
That's... Actually the best comparison you could make for warp stuff to real stuff
Constantly present in one way or another, not so dangerous except for specific types, doesn't leave an area without a fuckton of bonification
Space Marine 1 was (kinda) Iron Warriors
You think another chaos legion/warband for this one
Was it? Looked more like generic undivided 101
Its supposed to iron warriors
But it just seemed like
Nemeroths happy go lucky friends and friends
Little cheeky drop to Graia
Get a power source
And we’re back to medrengard for a pint
Ngl i kinda want Red Corsairs to be the baddies in space marine 2
Pirate Activities
Tbf only ones that could make sense
Yaharr we’re here to pillage whilst youre fending off the tyranids
If we get lucky
We’ll see not a pirate captain Huron Blackheart
With his power hook hand and robotic peg leg
And his psychic daemon parrot
And his power claw is his literal firearm
Because of the flamer
Are there any in lore examples of space marines smoking?
Smoking is bad
They don't feel any effect of it so I guess no?
Dont do it kids
I mean space furries are alcoholics
Why can’t they smoke too?
Because its not really integral to anything
Yeah, that alcool is actually infused with venom that literally shuts down their kidneys
And they have to drink tons of it to stay drunk/drunk-ish
So why can’t someone go to catechan and make the most terrifying blunt ever rolled
Because shutting down your lungs when smoking is not a really good idea lol
I think the sensation just wouldn't click for them
Since their systems are so durable
Also they could be busy
Well that’s an answer
No time for smoke breaks
Blood wine to be exact
They can’t smoke
Lol
So just to sate some strange curiosity, we're mostly against the concept of a servitor right?
A mind wiped, cyborg, "intern"
Because of the price, right?
what, as a playable character? it'd be a mess. not worth it.
I mean it shouldn't be that messy to maintain a servitor
Idk I think most teammates I get are about servitor level
Same
Combat servitor level
Less than that. I bet the medicae servitor could do a better job than my teammates
Depends on the servitor
This, ever notice it's always the bloody veteran mains that rush in and get killed first
Thank you! I was imagining a crazy blank weaponising their body. Like a gatling gun that siphons blood into anti-psyker rounds. Very grimdark though sounds more drukhari lol
You should read Grey Knight lore
they do exactly this with some of their gear
its fucking hilarous
They use psyker sacrifices for one grey knight bolter round. Hundreds of psykers are killed forging their armor and weapons. Thousands, potentially millions of people die to make one grey knight combat effective.
It was a vast furnace, its every dimension picked out in shimmering lines of light. The sight of it filled Xanthe with revulsion, turning the stomach in her body several decks below. The image was so detailed that Xanthe could shrink her perception and enter it, flitting through its vast vaulted rooms and side chapels. She was drawn to it as if by some appalling gravity of fascination. The pediments of Imperial saints and enormous pipe organ chambers enthralled her, and the yawning maw of the furnace entrance reeled her in as if hooks were latched into her soul.
The cavern of the furnace billowed around her, pure darkness harnessed in the holo-unit's bands of light. Above the furnace, suspended ovre the place where the flames would rage, was a circular platform on which a single suit of armour was mounted on a rack. The armour was beautiful, ornate and massive, too large for a normally-proportioned human. Cables and coils hung everywhere, and servo-skulls hovered ready to manipulate the armour as it was forged.
Xanthe withdrew her mind from the sight. She did not understand why it was at once fascinating and repellent to her. It held meaning, this place, so powerful and concentrated that it affected her even though she did not know anything about it.
The crewmen were talking. Their faces were still cowled by their psychic protection, but their words echoed. Xanthe could not help but listen, even though some cruel precognition told her that she would not like what she heard. Xanthe could not match the voices to the shadowy figures grouped around the map table, but their meaning was clear to her, as if some force wanted her to understand.
'Do they know?'
'Of course they do not.'
'What if they did? It is of no concern anyway. Without them to fuel the forge, the armour's wards will not be imbued with their power. The only concern we have is that the armour is forged and the Grey Knights receive their tithe.'
'The witches are vermin. The galaxy is better off without them.'
'It is a duty we do to mankind. That one Grey Knight fights on is worth a million of these sinners.'
Damn at least the Black Ships sacrifice em for humanity itself, not just 1 dude's armour lol. Thanks for pasting that was rad
Anytime no worries
a large amount of the fanbase agrees tho that this is very goofy lorewise
I think it's ye olde "it's grimdark" handwaving haha
On the other hand, I estimated on the low end that 5 million psykers are born a day so there's plenty to go around :P #40k-lore-chat message
There’s no analogue to skaven in 40k right?
Nope
Unless you count the imperium, anyway
Remember, Exorcists are cooler than Grey Knights because overcoming chaos through sheer force of will is 1,000 times more badass than just being immune to it because you got good genes and edgy weapons
Question I feel like i slightly remember but why does Horus Heresy armor have those studs and belts on them?
Yep they do
thats where they originate from
lemme get a more accurate armor sheet
I know they have them but why do they have them?
"bonding studs"
The "Heresy" pattern isn't really organized
And is usually a catch all term for jury rigged, scavenged garbage
The studs literally hold pieces together
Yeah I know that part but what about the straps?
They were designed as an easy repair during the heresy - they also have the advantage that they would deflect solid rounds without allowing them penetration so are usually useful against other space marines.
Ah that makes sense
It might just be extra fastening or something
let me check, Yeah its just power cabling
Also isn’t Primarus helmet just Mk.4 but flattened
It's based on it iirc
Its based on it ye
MKX is better because it isn't fucking impossible to draw
I always just found it odd that it’s based on Mk.4 and not Aquila
^
Yeah :( I want more firstborn models
Lore doesn't go into these decisions unfortunately
its all about "how can we make people buy this"
Alas their time has passed
Sadly Primaris is more marketable than Forstborn
Which sucks
I mean primarus models are ok
Just not badass
And more flamboyant
Primaris BT models are probably the peak
We can agree their Dreadnoughts suck though right?
I’d rather be in a boxnaught
Primaris suffer a lot from being tacticool
they literally lack the entirety of the brutalist style of the firstborn
those new DRG rocket launcher unit they got is fucking abysmal

it looks more like a nerf gun than the DRG stuff.
just hangs off the end of another gun like some kinda toy
I forgot what these guys are called thus why it’s a video instead of an image but holy shit these are dumb
Who looked at this and thought it was a good idea?
Redemptors can look great, when it isn't GW making them
They are basically the prime example of whats wrong with primaris essentially
way too sleek and way too generic sci-fi
MKX is fine
But
We don't see the same level of ornamentation we used to
I mean just look at old Sternguard vs new Sternguard
man, it's like they wanted to screw up everything people liked about the classic dreads with that thing.
Exactly that’s why I like firstborn they are so brutalist it’s cool they are practically knights jacked up to 11 and givin full auto m32 grenade launchers
It’s the worst part of the Venerable and Contemptor
Like MKX can be as brutalist as old marines, and Mk7 can be as bland and boring as Primaris
It's just a difference in priorities IG
Like look at the difference between these

They look like they’re from different IPs
Pretty much
like the reason Astartes stuff looked so packed/compact was due to modelling issues and restrictions sure but it still kinda worked
It looked cool being all compact
They went from making characters, to making foot soldiers
Everything is better when it's a mehtal bawks
90s 40K art was the best
Both
You can tell, the identity is set here
I just love 90s too
Art for firstborn is the best
Hehehe
I've got some firstborn art
they are just like me fr fr
I like how 40k art is usually entangled mess of 2 armies shooting point blank
Really where?
Look at the fucking skull
No I meant the other image
aw damn it
Where it's in the shoulder pad
Like boom this is badass love 2000s Astra Militarum art
It's the only art we have
I’m all ready done with school
I'm not
“Game over man game over!”
I have an exam on fucking Sunday
Yikes
Man why the fuck are Steel legion so cool
Because they aren't Krieg
And are dapper chads man handling the biggest Waaagh in the galaxy
Yeah
Ironic because this is one of the most german Steel Legion depictions
they got the german helmet stripe and some iron crosses on the officers
but at least its not in your face

They don't have armbands
💀
i have a lil quemstion about dreadnoughts i had for a while
are Contemptor dreadnoughts around in 40k? or is it just the horus heresy sorta timeframe, because looking at the GW site i never noticed the contemptors until i looked at the horus heresy models

All dreads are around
Contemptors are just giga omega rare
Because the Ironclads are generally better for the purpose people get dreaded for
ohhhh, alrighty. that makes a lotta sense
The boxy ones are the ones still produced, but oldies will pop up on occasion
Like Carab Culln
huh, that's cool
for a lil while i thought it kinda funny how the dreads are either "the body is grafted into a giant tank mech" or "they dumped the marines remains into a man shaped bucket"
And uhhh I guess Rylanor before Istvaan III
Carab is in a fucking Leviathan lmao
Which is even rarer
And also drives you insane and kills you
Leviathans are just older lul
I think redemptors do it because they're based on the uhh
Dunestrider?
yeah
Or whatever
Yes
also imo the redemptor looks great
The one where the pilot is a skitarii in a literal acid bath and will die
It looks so so dumb
its just located next to a reactor
lol
A nuclear
one
isnt the funny chicken the iron strider?
ohhh
me over here thinking all dreadnoughts look kinda goofy
s'why i love em all
and there's no way in hell the redemptor looks goofier
then the gunnaught
This shit is the goofiest dread of all
not enough missiles
liek what i said before, man shaped bucket :)
Needs more gun
Tbh
The 2 primaris units I hate
are the Go-kart
and the Desolators
everything else is fine imo
or not any goofier then other crap in 40k
ᶦ ᵃᶜᵗᵘᵃˡˡʸ ˡᵒᵛᵉ ᵗʰᵉ ᵍᵒ ᵏᵃʳᵗˢ
i've always liked the primaris look but its hard to argue they didn't drop the ball with desolators
Aren’t those the guys with like 3 missile systems one one gun
idk what the design team was thinking
who approved that
too much
Dear god
I think the mono choice squads are stupid
this thing is a bit silly
but imo the Eldar War Walker
is way sillier
and the old scout sentinel
it's a dreadnought without the dying
lol
"Marines are a flexible force, with each battle brother capable of filling numerous roles"
"ok so you're entire squad will only have flamers, if you get cut off then good luck"
Like god damn bro there is such a thing as too much gun
not grimdark enough
this shit, i fukn love
the funny thing is lore wise primaris don't deploy the way they do on tabletop
its fucking hilarious
They deploy in mixed groups
99% of the time
The Invictor has really grown on me
but on the tabletop you just have
They look like actual nerf guns
the flamer squad
and bolters don't?
fair they look less like a nerf gun but like... c'mon
Stealth dress naught
the desolation in the name is speaking about the creative team's skills.
Dread
YOOOOO
BALL
terrain that tells you it's gonna be a good time
the OUCH ORB
Love old terrain
GREEN BALL OF HURT
that's the shit rowley sat on in diary of a wimpy kid 2
LMFAO
3rd edition cactus 3rd edition cactus 3rd edition cactus 3rd edition cactus
Oh warhammer 40k boltgun
That's looks fun
I'm definitely getting this when the right time comes
I think you'll be distracted
A first look at Warhammer 40,000: SPEED FREEKS. A 16 player, Free-To-Play, multiplayer racing-shooter mayhem with Orks set in the badass Warhammer 40,000 universe – now available in Open Alpha!
#warhammer #warhammerskulls #gaming
Right now the only game that really caught my interest
LMAO i was sending a picture of that game
From what i see from the game play seems very similar from cross out
And twisted metal of course
Definitely up my ally
Super Mario galaxy ass cati
tfw..that space marine trailer is holding that bolter with 1 hand..
and yet..my char holds it with 2 hands..
AND Still shakes.
Firing a gun without visible recoil is boring and not fun
Honestly not sure if I want to buy Boltgun
I have a policy where I don't buy a game unless I'm sure I can get at least an hour of entertainment out of every dollar spent, and from what I understand boltgun is really short with basically no replay value
It’s like
10 hours long
Which is a bit short
Also no auto map
Which is a feature in 99% of boomer shooters
Like
It’s absurd there’s no auto map
For a doom styled game
I do miss it a lot ngl
‘I wonder what twitter has to say about this boomer shooter!’
that one tweet

Wdym lol
I do enjoy the time I’ve put in
But it is very user unfriendly navigation wise
Content warning; stupidity
||guy was saying that bolt gun was unironically saying it was great way to show the positives of genocide and how it should be brought back||
Are there any 40k resource management games that aren't mobile? There's got to be at least a bad one, right?
Oh let me pull up the game
I forgot it’s name
Excuse me what the fuck
Yea
Most sane twitter blue buyer
Warhammer gladius
It’s pretty good
It’s a settlement builder game but warhammer
40k*
I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same person who said the tyranids are a representation of the jews
Holy fuck that's stupid
‘You see, the eldar represent the lbgtq community’
Oh yeah this is actually pretty positively rated
Huh I'll probably buy it while all these deals are going on
Didn't think there actually was a good one
It has paradox style dlc where you really only need the dlc for the faction you play
They're basically saying that the lgbtq community made the god of all lust lmao
Warhammer twitter is a place no sane person should go
How long are these skull deals going to last?
I think until June 5th?
Shame they only released news about speed freeks now
Oh fuck the base game is free rn
Well i signed up for the alpha playtest hopefully i get accepted
I want to see this game before it fully comes out
Surprisingly it's free anyway
Warhammer psychos explain how being racist is okay because it’s lore friendly
I'm holding out for the Rogue Trader full release rn, other than that I'm not super hype about new Warhammer games
Anyone oppose of me sending my WiP ass chapter lore
Hey at least you're excited about something it's very hard to do that in the modern-day gaming industry you have to be very cautious
I’m so fucking excited
No actually i want to read it
Only if i get to send my OC after
Oh damn invisible marines you are thinking some good stuff
My guy is named Murderous Skullfricker and he's the chaosiest space marine to ever chaos and he likes to kick children and he eats planets and drinks blood and he's the coolest
The average EC
Can i tell my oc
Sure
yooo
I mean i have nothing else to do
Sure but he can't top Murderous Skullfricker
OC marine chapter lore
I need to make chatacters for my chapter
I stole them from one of those old ass books with zero lore and random color schemes
Imperial stars <3
Is such a perfect name
I can’t believe It hasn’t been taken yet
Ard'Gob the tank Krusher, a giant warboss he once broke a titan's leg with his power claw and he once killed a baneblade using nothing but grenades and his power klaw the Fingers of Mork
The average morka male
not a painboss, booo
Oh that would be his best mate, Worm brain Naggotz
Less jokingly, I do have an inquistor OC I want to write about. Ordo Hereticus, blank. She basically nabs wounded kriegers off battlefields to build up an honor guard because they're easily impressionable and will do literally anything if you tell them God wants them to. Her whole schtick is that no one ever sees her, only her acolytes, unless she decides to come out and leverage complete and total terror. Like, the moment she shows her face there's a very real risk of making the Night Lords look like kittens.
The whole reason she's so close to Hereticus is because she's more of a living weapon than an inquistor, she just sacrifices kriegers to get her to the middle of massive chaos rituals and her blank aura shuts the whole thing down.
Would you guys believe this is one of the warbosses of belongs to my klan that specializes in rescue the Gitkrusherz?
God damn
A culexus assassin in inquisitor clothing I see
(actually the real reason she's hereticus is because the witch hunter aesthetic is siiick)
Imagine getting the face of this
And slapping it onto an inquisitor
With all the gizmos
Maybe not rveurntjng
But totally the face
She's not really a fighter herself though, more of a mastermind, moving acolytes and pawns into positions that make it easy for her to use her powers to create an effortless victory. The only weapon she actually carries is an autogun which is more like self defense because in her mind, if she needs to fight herself, she's already failed.
I see she's the classic "not very skilled on combat but holy crap good luck trying to outsmart her"
Imam sleep
good nights :3
May Gork and Mork bless your dreams
Yeah, being a blank means people will immediately know what she is, so her whole deal is having other people do all the legwork and then just showing up next to the target psyker or cultist, rendering them powerless, and letting the firing squad finish the job
But yeah open to compliments and creteques just direct message me and il@look when I wake up
dont forget to correct psykers there, the word you wrote there is technically a slur towards romani folk in the UK
Thank you I’ll fix it when I wake up
Her rules are "control through fear, never show weakness, never show your hand, and never let an execution become a fight"

I'm pretty sure she would pay very well to make use of Ard'Gob's expertise
Which means blowing up certain stuff
And oddly enough saving people
40k fans making OCs be like: What if our OCs fought or worked together, just kidding, unless..
It's an Interesting idea
Her right hand is also a Krieger she rescued and who quickly became atheist once he was exposed to literally any other way of life than being born and bred for battle, he genuinely thought she was going to execute him when she found out but her stance on the matter is "I don't care if you blaspheme the right God, as long you don't worship the wrong one"
My chapter getting ready to make any major decision
A Krieger that isn't suicidal holyshit
I will say it now that Krieger definitely has the longest living record
I think more people need to utiilize rogue traders and inquisitor retinues to have characters that break the stereotypes lmao, unlimited power means weirdos
Yes you can recruit just about anyone
Well you know how I said "rescued"? he isn't exactly alive, more like "on xenos-based life support"
hang on let me open up the fic I never finished
Is he using xenos technology to be alive
i have so many inquisitors
Kind of
Eirik sat up, watching the machines in his blood knit flesh together, binding life back into his broken body.
"But I am not a man," Eirik said, "Not anymore. I am the Heretic. I am the Xenos. I am the mutant. And for the good of mankind and the honor of my savior, I will cut you down."```
got three main fools
and under each is at least another 2 to 3 inquisitors im also writing about
I'm going to write Ard'Gob's story and stuff in word
I've just been saving the information on my mind
Yes all of the information i just said came from my mind
Or do mind maps! They're super fun and can lead you down creative roads
Yes i'm going to start now
I don't have any fleshed-out Rogue Trader characters, but I like the idea of having an absolute madlad background character who gets mentioned in my original content.
Like I never really thought too much about him, but I have thought up a guy with a necron harem, a planet he forgot he owned that is pretty much utopian because the Imperium doesn't know it's there, and has faked his death 5 times because it's easier than divorce
at first Xanealle got rejected to help the war effort
so she made a red light district on the fortress world, because she managed to convince it would help morale
it did, soldiers gotta relax too
she didnt want to be rogue trader, but was given it to prevent to being assassinated back home
Two word: Microwave. Servitor.
Exists because they were tired of getting a hot plate with cold food on it. Doesn't actually prevent this, it just talks and will warn you about it, which the admech decided causes .001% less stress in people's life and therefore is worth pursuing
With so many regiments in the guard being "themed" is Cadia's theme just "modern"?
no they're meant to be like Starship troopers esque
Did starship troopers come first?
Yes
The book came out 1959
But the overall aesthetic
I think after 2000~ thats when sci fi soldier was kinda just
Starship troopers
Like guard models looked
Had a myriad of influences
(Best regiment theme is Mordian, and Vostroya second, and maybe Valhalla and Catachan third)
Mordian is dull...
I think 40k predates the movie but I've got no idea on when Cadia's theme was created
3rd edition came out in 1999
Starship troopers movie came out in 1997
And 3rd edition is when they look like what they do now
It's nice that those chest pieces still pop up here and there in lore
Damn good sourcing m8
Mechanicus when asked about AI
Savlar Chem-Dogs are my fave regiment, even though they're a penal battalion
love the whole "resourceful guys getting offed by admech because admech are jelly of their weapon modding"

no STCs?
the Chemdogs are pretty cool
id put them in my number 4 alongside tallarn and armageddonn
I have a question about the Necrons
Before biotransference, they were all getting super cancer from their sun right?
Did they not expand their empire before biotransference? Would they not live longer lives away from their sun?
the cancer was so strong it passed onto other generations. And so on
even after they ran awaay from it
oh man, so the whole species bloodline was ruined
yeah
that's kinda interesting actually - so presumably they're like, idk rats or something and they manage a short lifespan with making lots of offspring and not caring if cancer gets you in a few years
also, lol this bit is funny
It was during their military campaigns that the Necrontyr first came into contact with the Old Ones - one of the first sentient races.[1a] As their empire expanded and grew more diverse, tensions between the Dynasties threatened their unity.[4b] Rebellions known as the First Wars of Secession erupted as entire realms fought for independence.[4b][4c] The Triarch - the ruling council of Necrontyr - realised that only the threat of an external enemy would bring unity once more and saw the Old Ones as the perfect subjects for the wrath of their race.
like the whole hate-them-for-eternal-life thing was broadly secondary to them desperately needing to stop killing each other
Basically skaven without the svaken
and lol it doesn't work because they start getting their asses kicked too hard immediately
The War in Heaven resulted in unspeakable loss of life over scores of generations: The unity of the Necrontyr began to fracture once more, resulting in the Second Wars of Secession.
these guys are endearingly clownish
I thought humans were most like skaven, throwing overwhelming numbers at enemies. Treating their citizens like shit. etc.
true
They had a full empire and culture before they decided to prick the old ones
Like Trazyn recalls going hunting and stuff
their short lives may have been soul based
like the Necrontyr were so obsessed about their own short and painful lives they may have stained their own souls and caused the thing to come true due to the nature of the immaterium
note: im making this up and am entirely speculating here
Or they were under their sun for so long it's just how they developed and/or it destroyed their DNA
Good ole Zahndrekh and his dinners
they have silly burial rites for people with mayfly life expectancies, so all the tomb etc stuff reflects the fact that the living were a tiny minority constantly building shrines to the dead
GW are COWARDS and will not give us female necrons
Would they look any different?
female necrons would be indistinguishable as drones but if they were nobles then they could get custom bodies and therefore could have metal booba
What about the mother of oblivion or what ever her name
Is
The dommy mommy murderer
Xun'bakyr, known as the Mother of Oblivion, is a female Necron Overlord and Phaerakh of the Maynarkh Dynasty. Violent and malicious to the extreme like all of her subjects, she nonetheless was able to give her violent dynasty a purpose and mission after the Great Sleep so that it could maintain its discipline: the systematic extermination of all...
We DO have them in books
but a mini would be great
Yeah
Basically
the biggest necron population is drones
the nobility meanwhile are literally anything
theres even a trans necron in the Twice Dead King book
smh, even dead nobles get more rights than the common person
fr fr
This guy looks cool af
Hes great, its from the thousand sons codex

Is that a Raptor
IT'S WARHAMMER NOT WOKEHAMMER
your message reminded me of one of the yikesest posts ive ever seen related to 40k it was just so awful
hey guys so in fantasy there's a famous warhammer, sigmars warhammer. Big deal since the universe is named warhammer and its a warhammer of a god. Is there any warhammer like that for 40k?
ah benny, you are about to become a ghoul because swank gave me my fat man back
Ghal Maraz!!
Emperor should've had a hammer true that
it should've been called the Warhammer 40000
and when it hit things it should've blown them up into little giblets
and then he uses it to kill idk some daemon and that's the only exerpt we have of the Warhammer 40000 being used
so we get a constant stream of inane speculation about "why didn't the emperor use the Warhammer 40000 more often"
RTWH40K
Did Rogue Trader predate Warhammer Fantasy ?
no
warhammer 40k's origins were straight up just fantasy in space
which you see with a ton of very early units, eg orgyn
OG rogue trader
lollin that paul blart had an OG faction
This is assuming that necron women had booba
Aliens man, the anatomy just can't be expected to be normal
Sooo... Is it just me or the knights from daemonhunters are smol?
Especially with genetically imprinted super sun cancer
Oh no wait, they are just chaos armingers... Still thought they would be bigger
smol
Also we are this close to getting an actual kill team tactics game now that even the guard shows up in missions

The guard finally gets to do stuff!!!
I'm happy Leontus is actually being used
Instead of being like Ursula or other random chars that are made models and then just disappear
She's getting a book
Guard stay winning
the issue with these new characters is that they just pop out of thin air, so they basically just got no lore

I like that Guard/Custodes are the main players in the 4th war
I do wonder what the hell Severus is doing on the other side of the Galaxy though, when he's supposed to be in Northern Ultramar dealing with the Nurglites
old man dad told him to be useful
Oh shit white templars get lore
And of fucking course it's their planet getting fucked over by nids lol
Anyway, happy for the guard, but by the looks of it it's the Solblades fleets doing most of the work
Ye and Leontus is in charge of at least one of those
ngl i was more exited for the guardsmen than i was for the chaos armingers
who?
One of the random Templar chapters
im just imagining a reverse color scheme black templar
More or less
They got absolutely no lore until at one point gw went and said "LOL nope you are not imperial fist successors"
Wich with their stoic and relentless nature of fighting and white/grey scheme, makes you really wonder who else it could be lol
(Spoiler it's most probably gonna be Iron Warriors)
tbh I wonder whats happening with white scars
would be nice to see the Khan an his boyz come out the warp to krump some nids
They got the iron hands syndrome
I'd know
love me iron hands :_(
didnt know they had released new footage
Embody a Space Marine of the Ultramarines Chapter, a superhuman warrior who protects humanity from untold horrors, in brutally efficient third-person action as you take on the massive Tyranid hordes.
Take a look at a brand new glimpses of gameplay for the upcoming action-packed blockbuster Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 soon to be released on...
oh yeah. thats gona take some time to get use too
Those ai marines too didn't look too good tbh
Also is it me or the normal bolter he's using looks different from the cawl pattern?
most of the trailer it looks like he is walking around with some kind of heavy bolter
No yeah I mean at the start
yeah thats what i mean
At 0:20 to 25 more or less you see a normal hand held weapon being shooted
ahh
As it has a different animation than the heavy bolter firing at the end
yeah i see
Dunno the ironsights reminded me of the hammerburst from gears
Ai marines look more or less like marines
Though the bar they have to clear is quite low, sidonus'/leandros' ai was hot garbage in 1
I admit it's literally a pale imitation of a legend
But instead they got Rollo from Vikings and he sounds like some teen on Xbox live larping as a marine
Yeah like Mark is literally a great and very prominent actor
then you just get this rando
who i never heard of
It’s not great
Look i applaud the guy for trying but you just cannot top original
Yep
There's a certain level of power and command that makes you believe in titus
Strong's voice is too memorable
This voice doesn't do that
hes not bad hes just VERY Generic Marine™️
As I said they could've gotten the James guy who has a similarly deep voice
Oh yes then he is terrible
I mean fuck the guy voices Ghaz in audiobooks

Wait, the person voicing titus in the new space marine game voiced ghaz in the audio books?
No
Oh my bad
So this guy is THE ork voice
James Workshop is back! And he's discovered internet shopping! Do as he says and head over to the Games Workshop website for all of your hobby needs this Christmas: http://bit.ly/2Rvx05B

According to an interview with Bell of Lost Souls yes, he voices a ton of stuff for audiobooks iirc
This is da interview
Orks are great for the swearing part
especially since Fuck/Fucking is Zog/Zogging

He meant this
Lmao
Though ig he might be preoccupied with wrestling
I've been thinking about vashtorr. I think it'd be funny if Vashtorr adopted a race that could lead it to godhood.
It would need to be a race that reproduces at least as fast as humanity, and were at least as twisted as it
Also, it would have to be a sneaky race, to bypass the Imperium scrutiny, at least until they are ready to make a big impact. Maybe once they've infiltrated enough cities and worlds and have enough people.
They would need to also be entirely devoted to himself, and no to other gods/power since vashtorr doesnt align with any warp entities, so if he could instill a heavy dose of paranoia and a lack of work outside of intimidation, that could work.
Then, if we take into consideration the fact he is 'allied' to Abaddon, it would need to be a race that can be really good at playing the cloak and dagger game, particularly when dealing with chaos entities but in general are a bunch of lousy dealmakers.
Then, to reach godhood he'd need a number. Since 6, 7, 8, 9 are already taken, and 11 is Malice's. And he is Chaos Undivided, so he'd take the next prime number, which would be 13 I think. Good enough. No other god uses the number 13, nope.
Talking about Chaos Undivided, this race would need to be adept at and willing to employ all kinds of stuff to keep up as they dint hsve their own true warp boons. Cant rely on brute force so theyd rely on Stealth, chemical warfare, mutation (they are chaos, after all) innovation, and regimental warfare, at the very least. Vashtorr loves innovation.
Finally, since vashtorr is the progenitor to the Forge of Souls, he could maybe gift some of it's materials to his most devoted followers. As a sort of boon as he can't really work souls like the other warp gods. Some sort of crafting ingredient to help them innovate. Maybe some warp steel, or even a stone of some sort
Vashtorr steals Bile's new human project.mp4
I scrolled for 3 years trying to get to the bottom of that novel
Tell me more about vashtorr
Isn't Vashtoor way to archieve immortality using the weapon to kill off humanity?
Le shroog
Don't care about the Vashtorr plot
Also Vashtoor does have boons he can give
Neither will GW in 1 year
I was hinting at vashtorr being the way they could bring skaven to 40k
Strangely enough the Hrud are mentioned again apparently in the new nids thing
Not everything has to be interconnected and rehashed aaaaaa
Why would Vashtorr even be associated with Skaven
Skaven are one part cool concept and 3 parts bad plot device
Because Fan lore is ever competing to be worse than GW lore
Mostly fail though
Their lore is mostly atrocious
Lmao
Pls if people wanna play skaven they would play skaven lmao
AY it's Mag, how you doing
Well plenty of people Kitbashed Skaven-Admech
Yea which is cool
Stormcast to SM i suppose
You can count the bad tropes
Is BT using a loop hole
Or do they just not care??
