I do think Gatekeeping and the toxic side of the community has gotten worse with how much more competitive the game has gotten via the editions and less about fluff and creativity. I hear horror stories for instance, usually pertaining to women and how they are treated by their local communities and frankly, I find it to be a very sad state and that I myself was lucky to be apart of communities that were open to anyone as long as you were not toxic to others.
