In Gate of Bones I think, an Eldar emissary arrives before Guilliman and his sizable council, and most of them aren't happy
The guy sent to represent the head of the militarum basically goes "they double cross us at every turn, we've lost millions to them, how can we trust them?"
It might not have been in Gate of Bones specifically
But I remember it being recent
Yeah
Eldar and Tau are the “friendly” aliens in the imperiums eyes
As in they won’t immediately kill you on sight and you can probably negotiate in event of shit hitting the fan
Tau are the closest thing the imps have to a "conventional" enemy
Eldar are extremely hit or miss
Vs eldar is basially how bad of a whiff their "prophecy" is
"Arthur i know how to kill chaos god we just need half of the imperiums taxpayers"
Traitor pdf/guard as well. Traitor not always meaning chaos or warp influence.
Yeah but generally you don't get nicely organized actual empires
Maybe a secessionist government that doesn't fall apart in 10 days
If I were to ever be captured alive by any faction in 40k I’d 100% go with the Tau every time.
If I get captured by the tau
Worst case scenario I end up as a POW in a shitty prison
At least until they convert you or believe they converted you to the greater good.
Any person would take "re-aducation" compared to working to death in an Imperial concentration camp

Tbh I’ll take the re-education over an imperial manufacotrum
Because
I’m gona be real here the worst Tau working conditions are better then most imperial manufacotrum s
Yeah Tau are still ironically "humane"
the Imperium meanwhile operate literal death camps
Admech my beloved
lol. Reading the book where Ragnar first engages a Chaos Marine
||her literally accidentally kills him by him tripping and falling on ragnars sword||
They didnt really go the distance with that bit of writing.
What?
…
What?
What??????
I read it like 3 times
but imperial manufactoriums workers are so dedicated, they even set up dens to sleep at the plant
||Well. He was fighting Maddox, who was quite easily beating his ass. Another fallen Space Wolf lay on the ground (presumably dead). Maddox knocked ragnar on the ground, and walked over him to give the final blow. Then the presumedly dead Space Wolf grabbed Maddox foot, tripped him, and he fell on Ragnars blade.||

Wait- is the mantis warrior’s gimmick is that they ate shit during the baddab war?
And everyone thinks the are gona die out?
They like ambush tactics is their other gimmick

Think GW would ever do something like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8NoG-w1RbI
This year's D&D Direct unveiled the new immersive virtual tabletop experience, D&D Digital Play Experience, presented by Wizards of the Coast.
With stunning visuals and diverse creation tools, the D&D Digital Play experience will give players and Dungeon Masters a new way to fully sink into their campaign. Perfect for connecting DM’s and playe...
I konw there are soem fan made virtuals. But nothing official
or would they not want to risk mini revenues
DnD and other Tabletop rpg don't get much revenues through their minis. GW absolutely does
So for DnD, it's opening a new market that they can't get without this. But for Warhmmer, it would only cannibalise on their current market
Though only a little bit because most warhammer table top fan would still stay with real stuff when possible
at least the books arent too overpriced
Yeah. For someoen like me, who does not collect minis and moves quite a lot, i would definitely by into a VTT version of the game
and buy every Space Wolf
you could print them
Still mean you have them physically which can prove annoying when you move around frequently
Yes, so you're in the case where you would be a new consumer
you could also just play the game with random household objects
Which they would want to get. But then you have another type of consumer. The one that already play TT, but would move to virtual
Which would mean that theybcan loose revenues on their minis
From which they don't have to share revenues and are sellable by the piece
isn't the game itself just half of the hobby
While for VTT, it's much harder to sell the same mini multiple times, which GW would want to do
i thought it was mostly about the miniatures and creating environments
plus you're losing a lot of the creativity aspect by playing according to digital rules
Well considering the product Zero showed this isn't really a problem, as its really a VTT, and not a virtual GM
So you still would have animations (maybe), guides/helper, and all that jazz but the control would still be in the hands of the human
i'd probably try it then
if i got miniatures i'd probably just lose interest and they'd end up collecting dust
this really is a hobby for dedicated people
now if only GW could release a video game that's actually good
There are quite a few that aren't bad, Vt2, SM1, DoW 1/2, Mechanicus, Blood Teeth and Dakka, and hopefully Darktide at the 6month+ and SM2
they're ok but mostly niche
Space Marine II this year. Fingers crossed
Trailer looks good. Only downfall is there dont appear to be any Space Wolves
Unless they let you choose your faction somehow
Trying to think of good excuses for why an energy weapon focused chapter can use bolters/autocannons
Ideally in the 10th edition, if I was GW, I'd push toward a Death Wing Space Hulk 2, Mechanicus 2 and a new Rts for 40k (Like DoW but not made by them)
For Fantasy, I'd mostly leave it alone with Vt2 and TWW3, though in the future another Tide game would be a good thing to do.
As for AoS, I don't think it's ready for a TW type Rts now, but it could work with a LotR BfME or Warcraft system. And much later (5 to 10 years) maybe starting to think about a TW game set in 3 or 4 games in total.
Old World, I think it'd way too soon for a Video game
Trading maybe ? Like selling energy to a Forge World in exchange for Bolter/Bolts and Autoguns ?
Yeah I'm thinking about munitions and such, I remember how needler guns in 40k work by shooting a laser and the needle munition to puncture armor and actually hit someone with the cancer filled needle, some kinda fancy munition like that for bolter shells and such
Wait it's the Neddler that do that ? I though it was the Admech Flechette Blasters and Carbines
For Bolter I don't think that it exists, at least its not coming up in my mind, but there are plenty of Bolts types so why not
Space Hulk had a really solid concept and was actually a good game given how much it lacked
Space Hulk concept was sound, it's basically a Tide game but made by another company, the thing they went wrong with it is that they went to single player 1st and then multiplayer instead of the other way around
Most definitely. Also the combat was not super satisfying.
I want to see guts and sinew when I cut through a heretic. Not a poof of smoke
Well impart that, but also the attacks are somewhat lackluster, they don't have great attack patterns that you really need to learn
There’s no impact
To your attacks in that game
Everything feels very muted
Even the genestealers don’t feel that strong physically
I certainyl did not feel like a Terminator
me and JT played the other night. Its actually fun with a group of people
But really, narratively and set piece. GW should really push toward that game getting a sequel as both faction featured in it are getting new lores and become much more active again
Well lets just keep our fingers crossed Space Marine 2 is good. I want a good multiplayer campaign, and separate multiplayer modes designated from just mowing down waves of enemies
Thats really all they need to do to be successful
Spoiler, get tabletop simulator and you got your vvt
Campaign is definetly gonna be ultramarine focus as it's a sequel to the first, multiplayer you could paint your marine in the first i don't see why not here
Wasn't it moded ? For the other skins ?
Nope?
I remember you could paint the marine/CSM and you had various armour options
Mod expanded customization, don't remember exactly how
Oh maybe you needed mods to use custom armour in the story mode
I saw a few mods for single player iirc
Its joseph!
Gt is just short for gamertag xD since i played on the xbox app. Sadly my app completely died and after 13 hours of troubleshooting i cant get it to work again
I will no longer be able to play darktide, but i will remain here, mostly because i like talking to some of yall in the chat
Yep
I just hope if chaos is in sm2 it's not nurgle/Khorne again
Please Slaaneshi marines, those seem more likely for a rebellion without plague
Nurgle and Khorne are too proletariat...
<@&735928989146939404>
What
Oh someone was linking porn it's gone now
(spoilers for Betrayer)
Can hardly believe it but, based Lorgar?
So if any of you guys were in the 40k universe and drafted to the guard, what battlefield would you choose to be in, if given the choice?
do you mean regiment or do we have to pick a battle to be a part of
Not necessarily a battle, but yeah sure, also the field itself too
uhhh lucifer blacks? human guards of the imperial palace. would be ok.
otherwise a war against Orks cause they'll just rip me to pieces if they win
War against fellow loyal imperial guardsmen and women due to a administrative fuck up, and preferably in a trench
The ork human farms....
Doesn't matter where, you're dead anyway lul
Unless it's against the Tau, at least they take prisoners
Does chaos take prisoners?
If you survive, and being hit by plasma is generally unpleasant
Yes. For slavery or sacrifice or worse.
By “worse” I mean a legion like the night lords or emperor’s children who will inflict horrific awful unspeakable torture until they allow you to die.
If you were to surrender the Tau would generally spare you.
so i have a friend whose made a thousand sons warband and their premise is they jumped into the warp to travel to terra for the siege, and after 20 subjecive minutes they popped out on the other side of the galaxy, flung out of the great rift 10K years later
so! the rubric of ahriman takes place after the horus heresy, meaning that they were in the warp when it happened. my question is thusly: what does that mean for them?
gosh that's not at all what i was hoping for
do you happen to know which book or w/ever that happened in?
I might be misremembering
Apparently "Talon of Horus" explains that it affects TS by name so being time displaced would do nothing
ty
At least my autistic ability to semi-accurately recall very specific 40k lore is useful for something
Though keep in mind
If the Blood Ravens can exist, others probably can as well
hey man i know a shitload of very specific 40k lore but i can never cite my sources
it's always "i heard this and it sounds correct but i don't know if it's true or not"
I can generally dig out where something is from
Despite only having properly read Great Work and Horus Rising
my problem is that a vast and overwhelming majority of my 40k lore knowledge comes from:
over a decade of osmosis
lore vids and lore forums
old codexes for the factions i like
and you might've noticed that all of those are very inefficient at being useful sources :/
codices and rulebooks are the most legit though
yeha but the ones i have on hand are like, 30 years out of date
oops
i recnetly got the 8e rulebook ('recently', like a few years ago) but otherwise my books are all a liiiittttlllleee
old
writing quality has been on steady decline since the early 90s anyway so you won't be missing much
Thats why I am writing a Fan Fiction epic where Russ assume the role of Emperor of the Imperium
You really are a caricature
this has to be bait
The only bait an SW lays is the ferocious howl of a battle brother and the cold blade of Fenrisian steel as it tears through heretics.
we really have passed the internet event horizon where i can't tell if you're being serious or not
You're a real master baiter
im so irony poisoned that this is a terrible struggle for me
May your Fangs strike true brothers. I drank from the cup of Russ 2 months ago. . . .it gas changed ne ever sense.
ok this is definitely a parody account
And if hes not?
Blood ravens are different as they are made using thousand sons gene-seed (allegedly) , they are not true thousand aons
You don't found a chapter out of the blue, so someone was left
Darryl
I mean, didn't the rubric just affect the non-Psykers?
All Blood Ravens are descended from Darryl
The Flesh change would probably get the others
Though frankly we can't know for sure lmao
You can't fix magic
The flesh change was a gene-seed problem
We already had this talk, Blood Ravens suffer from the Flesh Change
Wait they do?
DoW1 mentions it and one of the Index Astartes as well
Yeah
They have a special tower they lock them in
Oh, didn't remember that tbh
They just think it's mutation though, they don't realize changed marines are chaos spawn
Now the question is if it's happening with the primaris they got too
Probably is
Except that we know that there was a Geneseed vault that contained Geneseeds of all the Legions
well i'll need some solid proof otherwise but if mr zerokewl is not a parody account i'll
idk
write my own parody fanfic or something fucked if i know
Btw the index astartes for blood ravens apparently mentions they do the same thing exorsists do
(and apparently only initiates of the blood ravens fall to the flesh change/similar stuff)
i just looked it up and yeah it seems that the flesh change isn't a thing full blood ravens go through
it's only the initiaties and only "from exposure to a large amount of warp juice" (or something) so idk it doesn't seem like they'd be thousand sons derived
Dude might just be a bit obsessive.
I'll also point out that traitor geneseed was locked up after the heresy and doesn't seem to have been released until Cawl got his hands on some
So it's unlikely Blood Ravens were just made from storage
apparently thousand sons geneseed doesn't even work on non-psykers anymore
so if the imperium had genesesed from the thousand sons it woujjldn't be useful for that reason ||except for the grey knights but they get the emperor's geneseed so whatever||
i guess but every time i see zerokewl he's wolfposting and it's kinda weird
I agree its a bit weird but it also could be he just loves vikings and stuff. I know one of my friends irl is similarly obsessed, i havnt introduced him to 40k
although it just occurred to me that thousand sons genesesed has only been used by the thousand sons mainline legion and that they were all hit by the rubric
Lol as if we didn't already have a bunch of chapters said to have chimeric gene-seed or unknown gene-seed with clear traitor traits
it is theoretically possible that geneseed that was just in storage, not attached to anyone and therefore not touchewd by the rubric, could easilyt still have the old properties of thousand sons geneseed
Bloodravens might be using modified geneseed
I always read that as experimentation on captured or killed traitors
I mean it's still traitor gene-seed no matter where it comes from
Id rather use the geneseed from storage, way more stable than the stuff from the corrupted marines
Yeah but it's not the original "pure" stock they had vaulted up
Fun possibility: Blood Ravens got Soul Drinker'd
what happened to the soul drinkers?
were they the ones that got wiped out and then someone else was like "this leaves the IP to me" and made a new chapter with the same name, heraldry, and colours
Yeah they were wiped and the implication is a chaos legion replaced them
alpha legion psyops
Incidentally Thousand Sons are also a strong contender for Soul Drinker geneseed too
But I like Alpha Legion because that just sounds like some shit they'd do
alpha legion are funny little guys who love their schemes
can't help but love them playing 802d chess it's just endearing
I can't wait for Primaris 1st company proper
Instead of the crappy bandaid that was "Veteran intercessors"
Soul Drinkers are fun because they're 3 different chapters with 3 different geneseeds
im not really a loyalist fan, ive only painted like 20 salamanders as my intro to painting but
damn i love the new terminators
I'm more a xenos lass but I always had a soft spot for those funky terminator helmets
Funny how when primaris came, everything else got thrown out the window and improved
i'm a chaos fan but i've recently found a love for sororitas
Meanwhile termies are just termies
CAN'T IMPROVE ON PERFECTION
Also helps that Tyberos is a terminator and I love chonky bois
Two words... Gravis Terminator
with the amount of models that loyalist space marines get, give it enough time and you'll see it
and by enough time i mean like 3 months
Considering how Gravis armour lore is already bonkers, making it termie related would literally make them baby dreads
That can drop from low orbit
Or well
Literally just a bunch of bakugans
right but the lore is in service to the models, and space marines already get new models every 13 days or something, so "Gravis Terminators" is a pretty logical thing
like being serious: it wouldn't surprise me if we saw Gravis Terminators in the next few years, especially if the new terminators sell well
Anyone wanna see a design I made years ago for a chapter master of mine
You fuckers better start collecting nids, mommy needs new bugs
NO I JUST STARTED A NEW SORORITAS ARMY
go out and buy sororitas so we can get our cavalary girls
I wanna biuld ultra marines first
@green loom show
no stop buying loyalist marines that's what got us into this mess!!!
You really liked the art I sent huh lmao
i've seen a tonne of different sororitas cavalry
and i'm gonna be honest with you
i love them all
i saw them before i started my army and now im seeing new ones after i started my army and just
👌
gimmie
It what i want, my next army will be nercons though
i really like the power sword
Honestly the naming fits 40k stuff
40k names are super edgy
Dude exudes "angel of some description"
So, considering the looks and gw naming conventions... This is an iron hands successor yes?
/s
The chapter he led was called "The Angel's Bulwark", heavy knight theme BA
I think the iron halos wings should be spread out, rn it just looks like a crozosis or however you say a chaplins weapon
Other than that i like everything else
Yeah but consider its flat on 2d, the crozium has 4 extensions (if I remember correctly)
Given the right pose it can work
Friend of mine kitbashed some models for them a few years ago as well
Wtf is going on with those face wings
I think it's the helmet the commander uses in the "Chapter Command" set or something along those lines
Maybe if the colors were flipped on the helm it would look better
UM honour guard use it/a similar helmet iirc
Everything else is really good
But ye guy was pretty free form with them
Yeah but it's front closed
So no zurg facegrill popping out
Found it
I'm hating that helmet so much
"FEAR MY FLAPS"
Was it really so hard to just close it lol
there's like 12 different "Space Marine Primaris Captain" models
Corvus helmet, all other armor is irrelevant
The reintroduction of the mk4 helmet for the Mk X was a godsend
Best marine helmet
Mk6 just looks coolest in general tbh, love studs and beaks
Not from gw as far as I'm aware
of course it was a raven guard
pretty sure that's the horus heresy raven guard upgrade set
buy now from forge world for 39.99
Wait hh marines are primaris scaled?
i believe so
i believe they decided to make the 30k marines primaris scaled after the release of primaris
(but i am not totally sure)
Well this is surprising
no that's the 40k primaris upgrade sprue
i stand corrected!!!
also 43 bucks for some fucking shoulderpads and emo heads? wtf GW
do you happen to be Australian by any chance
me, paying the same for a full killteam from the same website
need to compare a metal guardsman from before the plastic cadians
the plastic cadians are what ruined the scale
gosh, caught
yeah that'll explain the cost
Yep, checked and it's 22 euro for me
we australians are fucking fleeced by GW
Wich is more reasonable
it hurts me deeply every time i want to get my little plastic people
Says they're metal
hmm, though it is rather expensive for an army
I'm tempted to get some as painting pieces maybe
or for rpg use maybe
@vale shuttle You owe me an equally awe inspiring Fan Fic then. A small peek, by popular request, of what I am working on. I tried to not make it drip TOO heavy with SW
hmm question, what kind of field does the traitor captain bosses have? refractor or conversion
Refractor
zerokewl i will write you a shrot parody fan-fic about one of these three topics (your choice)
- the empperor returns and makes the entire galaxy right in a massive loyalist wankfest
- the tau win.
- AU horus heresy where they all go to family therapy
Conversion is invisible
Family Therapy seems fun.
ahhh alright.
alright
Curze in any type of therapy would be a good fic in and of itself
Conversion is what van dire used to trick the sisters of battle that he was some kind of embodiment of the emperor
And it worked
ohh yeah that one.
Btw what's that screen from?
roll20, ttrpg i am playing. dark heresy 2E
Uh, It must have changed a bit since last time I used it
Wich was a fuckton of time ago where roll20 was basically a chat with dices
I hate roll20 so much but I learned theater of the mind
boy you'll love what i have in my first paragraph
yeah they have inbuilt sheets with roll buttons.
i am wondering why we can't steal the refractor shields off the traitor captains after we kill them. guess they overloaded too much and are broken beyond repair.
Who needs shields when you have faith
Question
hadron of all people would have screamed at the rejects to get the rare tech off the heretic's body. or....its corrupted with nurgle's taint and they don't want it.
The most ostentatious, gaudy-ass wings you can muster
wow good art. i am still learning how to draw cloth folds
mfw my dark heresy 2E PC is a darktide sniper with carapace armour, stronger shield then the traitor captain, with medic abilities.
I'm just sketching over the primaris template thing
template?
ah nice.
Because we got Toughness
The Inquisition probably take them back
i'll finish this tomorrow
i hope you all find it at least mildly amusing
And tbf I'm pretty sure half the time you can consider them broken after we pop them 3 to 5 times per fight lol
You want to use items touched by Chaos worshippers? What are you, a Blood Raven?
rofl i am a loot gremlin when i am playing TTRPGs.
Speaking of looting dead bodies
If all return possible primarchs do indeed come back, considering how the lion has his shield and guilly his sword, what part of the old golden corpse are the other primarchs gonna steal?
(and btw if this happens and the end times style battle isn't the primarchs megazording into an emperor avatar I'll be severely disappointed)
the talon of the emperor is an obvious contender
i feel like they'd give that to russ
also i think the emperor has sometimes been depicted with a spear, which i think would go to vulkan
Dorn -> Talon
And that Dorn lost one of his fist
This plot really does just write itself
dorn is dead i refuse to believe hje's coming back
MIA
DEAD
Retconned
damn i like your vocabulary mr cacti
i understand that if gw wants to bring rogal back theyt will, i just desperatley do not want them to
English really lack the use of a lot of words
why use big word when small word do trick
Because certain times it suck
Like how do you say a thing with 2 heads like Kairos Fateweaver ?
Bicephalic
But no one in English know it
i learnt a new word today
(btw let's also remember valdor still has the sister spear to that of russ)
oh no wait
it's still in custodian hands
so technically we got 2 spears
There is also his Bolter, which I don't think has been named yet
my guesses are: Sword to Guilly, Shield to Lion, Claw to Dorn, Dyonisian Spear to Russ, Apollonian to Jagh, armour to vulkan, and corax doesn't get shit because he's big demon bird now
the bolter is basically a one-off mention... also the only emperor's item that's not GOLD
Fulgrim gets his bolter
(also spoilers but the shield was made up for the lion as apparently it never appears elsewhere)
Did big e use a shield in his fight with the viod dragon?
i mean, if he has it's surely before he gets the claw
as those two wouldn't really mesh well with each other
Yeah
We don’t know.
The shield is new lore.
I doubt well get anything on it then
A lot of hope is on the novel to explain all this but I’m not getting my hopes up.
Yeah me either
Couldn't we look at most depiction of Saint Michel to know what the Emperor used when fighting against the Void Dragon ?
Wait the Bolter isn't gold ? How ?
Death is a matter of perspective
And there's only two perspectives
You either write the lore or you don't, and if you write it
Whatever you say goes
Or whatever the execs say, anyhow
He used it to fight the void dragon as Saint George
It's Saint Michel with the Dragon, Saint George is the one that hold the Pearly Gates iirc
Wait there is both ?
the bolter is black and bronze
the saint michel you are referring to is actually Archangel Michael
and it's set during the rapture as it represent the angels descending on earth to battle the seven headed dragon
(and btw it's saint peter that guards the heavenly gates)
Im so lost rn
Don't worry, I confused Catholic lores
tbf i just googled the names
dude literally had a giant golden ship called Bucephalus what are your talking about
Okay so for 6 seconds I thought you meant like, an actual boat lamo
meanwhile dark eldar using floating boats
To be fair, they are space pirates
eldar corsairs crying in the corner
the original eldar pirates and mercenaries, who father ultramarine librarians
btw both the emperor's ships whereabouts are currently unknown
Wrong horse though
Think it's in the book after saturnine
Dies distracting the traitor fleet so the DA force led by Corswain can land
Destroys a nice chunk of it, critically damages the Conqueror and I think the Word Bearer Gloriana?
just looked it up, destroy's 4 heavy cruisers of the word bearers and one battle barge of the emperor's children
but tbf it was basically sent alone against the entire earth blockade
i mean it was chock-full of daot shit after all
Who liked Lorgar/Word bearers pre HH
I know horus, magnus and angeron actually liked them
But horus likes everyone
Horus liked Mortarion ?
The only perosn I can think of who had a negative relationship was with Corvus
Because Horus promoted the Terran 14th tactics
I think Corvus and Lion both disliked Horus
And ended up killing a load of his boyos
Oh yeah, wasn’t Lion jealous?
Lion because Horus was in direct competition for being the emperors special boy
Yeah
He was lol
And Corvus because
He really didn’t like his Terran marines
Honestly pre HH I’d think Lion would like Lorgar
Not Sanguinus ?

The only thing I remember about BA is that their Terran drawn marines were basically under den drug addicts
And almost got [REDACTED]
Horus also was pretty manipulative as I said, Lion might not have liked that
I wonder let’s say you get someone who has never heard of warhammer
And you give them the horus heresy series
And they read it in chronological orde
and yiy black out ‘horus heresy’

Would they be surprised when horus betrays the emperor?
Not really
At which point they will know for sure who betray the Emperor and who doesn't ?
I'd say quite early
they'd be extremely confused because the books assume you know what a space marine is
It's built up quite nicely
LMAO
Yeah literally
It's a sort of bait and switch
You can see the cracks forming
I mean it is
But it’s ironic
Because the guy who says that
Since Horus Rising opens with the Luna Wolves fighting Fake!Humanity
garviel loken is still my favorite 40k protagonist
Will be there the day Horus slays the emperor
Tbf that's the entire point
Yeah
Well there is foreshadowing and just hammering a nail into something
Imagine dragging out foreshadowing for nearly 20 years
Man
BL are some wild assholes
Like Foreshadowing require subtility
True lmao
Hello I like money
i like how you can see loken's descent into realizing what's going on over 2 books
add skaven to 40k
Okay new person never heard of warhammer reads every warhammer book in chronological order and nothing else
Top 3 questions
it genuinely surprised be that abaddon is actually a very important character because in the first horus heresy books he's not really focused on
Salamanders would annihilate them.
To be fair that happens in like, every character’s first book
Why is the Emperor so bad at what he tries to do
Why are SM so ineffective
Why is Chaos
Abby sits on the sidelines for a while I thought
LMAO
Starts picking up the pace as the other chaos characters start dropping dead and getting progressively more insane
Who would they most likely end up liking the most?
The emperor is a piece of shit he’s not meant to be likeable kekw
Probably Loken
Prolly Loken
They have to have a good amount of books with out being boring
Yeah
I know a guy who named his son after Garviel
Cain, or maybe Eisenhorn/Ravenor
They are some of the most relatable characters
Pretty based gamer
Fair
lucius has a lot of character development the first time he's seen
So do most of the EC right?(God I loved Horus Rising)
i understand lucius's descent to chaos, that's the messed up part
Oh yeah every legion has their ‘lovable shit bag’
he really didn't give a crap about the emperor he just found himself on the wrong end
I mean he is
You know what he pulls on Istvaan?
Is that better
lucius as he is now
Fkn scummy
Yes I’m aware
is fucken cringe
Lol
I mean Lucius went and murdered homeless ppl and a child
You know who else murdered homeless people and children?
As a child
that's actually so cool
And a child too
MY MOM
WOOOOOOOO
Sorry its an instinct now
the description of the virus bomb is such an amazing scene of devastation
Bile?
Literally all the any of the SM ?
Corvus, Sanguinius, Fulgrim, Guilliman, Lion, Horus, Vulkan, Ferrus, Lorgar, Perturabo, Magnus, Russ, Jagathai, Angron, Kurze, Mortarion, Alpharius/Omegon, Dorn.... and most of their mariens
EC need a 40K book so bad. Their HH lore is baller as fuck
But oh my god their 40K lore is terrible
And siege of Terra
Ah yes
Human cocaine
Should get some, with their Codex, would make the most sense
people need to hate lorgar more
Counter argument, that’s a terrible idea
As long as we continue hating Erebus
You mean the fact they have literally 0 lore lmao
We have 2 short stories
And the best chaos audio drama
Bile might as well be in his own warband
He is
Well he is
And disconnected from the emperors children
Presently no
primarch is able to single handedly win wars by himself but almost dies to a random rusty alien sword
But his books have EC popping up now and then
Yeah but they call them selves some bullshit with a spider
Oh well as I understand he's done his job more or less with the new humans
And also EC loyal to fulgrim hate him lmao
So he's probably just doing whatever
And who knows, it might be another clone of him
i'd hate fulgrim too
Eidolon
Yeah
It’s also the only named warband
And all of them continue to eat shit
Hey Fulgrim’s warband is pretty big! They are just. Not. Doing. Anything. At. All
Literally nothing
It’s smaller then Eidolons
warp related activities
Yeah
Sex
Mostly since eidolons is biles and eidolons combined
Lmao
The fact those 2 ended up together
After that creepy scene in Horus heresy
Is kind of funny
If we get an Eidolon model would he be in the EC codex or CSM codex
Isn't Fabius the guy who stitched Eidolon together
Under CoB
fabius is the guy who cloned a bunch of primarchs
why is nobody mentioning my homeboys the Red Corsairs
Emperors children
We forgot about them, just like GW
Yeah, all chaos surgery shinannigans is 9/10 times probably bile

Despite them having arguably the strongest Chaos fleet
Yeah, but he also had a really creepy scene where he paralyzed eidolon and forcibly spliced his dna with alien dna
Isn’t all their lore older then my sister?
While eidolon was conscious
No lmao
they are just underrated
And more Blackstone fortress than the Black Legion at present!
Oh
They got more lore in 9e
Huron literally got a new novel last year
Funnily enough
and yeah the lore literally says the Red Corsairs are big enough to be like
a 30k legion apparently
oh I had no clue
I thought all their lore remained in the Baddab what ever it’s called
Yeah they have a huge resource pool, and ol Abby even paid them with a Blackstone fortress to get their help
He gets paid taxes
Nowadays yeah lol
He’s got pretty much everything he ever wanted
Minus the chaos corruption
Sidenote, I hate that all the red CSM legions use the same red
But he’s got a small empire, a loyal following, he’s loved by his mortal followers(as much as a chaos lord can be loved) and he gets tons of money
its VERY specific shades of red
I don't think he really did anything particularly assholey
but like still they kinda look the same
He was just very competent and didn't care if the rules got in the way of doing what he wanted
Also he did end up backstabbing a lot of his allies
I mean like when rulling

He’s prolly the most ordered chaos lord
It’s like an imperial planet
But slightly more shitty in some ways
yeah Lmao, I heard a joke about this guy who basically primed his models red and then used them as either word bearers, world eaters, or red corsairs
And less shitty in others
To back this up, heres some official artwork from the RPG books
In every game
literally about as "ordered" as your common imperial world

Like I said imperial city but less shitty in someways and more shitty in others
that's like
Also ironically
actually good worldbuilding
He allows non chaos into his ranks
OMG HOW COME IVE NEVER AEEN THIS BEFORE
instead of making everything shit
As long as they pay their due
The RPG lines do LOTS of that
ACTUAL CHAOS SOCIETIES ARE BALLER
Red Corsairs are renegades who dabble in chaos
He’s honest in what he wants
They’re full blown chaos tbh
hmm
But they don’t use it’s powers or daemons heavily
Aside from the usual psyker stuff
perhaps if I make some csm i'll make them red corsair esq
Because cool lore doesnt get written by GW
Its the classic conundrum with stuff like star wars and other fantasy settings where the RPG company who are given the reigns to make lore/story games for paper stuff usually explore the setting a lot more compared to the main fluff.
OH I FORHOT that uh,, Khorne warband that had rules for 3 minutes
I meant powers wise
Huron is pretty clearly dedicated considering the shit he has to do to not become a meat puppet
so kinda slaanesh oriented
why is this guy chaos
Rpg companies my beloved
because the imperium are assholes
and it was the easiest way to not die
And once they inevitably die a handful of obscure lore bits become overwhelmingly popular for no reason
tbh
Cough Severan Dominate Cough
I'm glad GW keeps huron
as a like
not insane chaos worshipper
Too bad his MODEL FUCKING SUCKS
so he can be chaos without having to do anything for the chaos gods?
💀
not insane chaos worshippers are some of the most interesting characters
I mean yeah
He doesn't have any blessings
from the gods lol
LITTLE BALLSACK DOG
It's a shame we probably won't see Enuncia again in the setting
thats his pet daemon
the little monkey friend
that follows him around
The Blessing is that he isn't dead

cease
Did you never wonder how he got the name "Blackheart"
fucking enucia
WHAT THE FUCKKK TAHST TERRIBLE
his art is baller as hell
The melta incident
He fkn dies at the end of the Badab war

Didn’t he get shot in the heart?
And his 2 cronies res him via chaos juice
delicious chaos sauce
Now he's on borrowed time and has to keep doing shit to not become a chaos spawn/meat puppet
^
Lmao ah
its also why huron isn't in terminator armor anymore
his original set kind of exploded
That’s based
Was the bastard who shot him using fallout VATS what the fuck?
terminator armour is for losers anyways
good question
it was a chapter master
of I forgot what chapter
this is his funny forgeworld model
yes the face is hideous
weird shoulder placement
but it's forge world
they can't do a lot of things well
from what I hear
also double claw is pretty based
Your right, i prefer centurions
Sorry I mentally clocked out who tf is that?
WHAT
i wish more stories had them
remember
Also holy shit a space marine with normal grey hair
Chaos does seem to cause terminal baldness
That's the weapon of the dawn of war imperial guard officer hero
being bald means you are probably evil
I forgot what that guy was called
vance mf stubbs
that is why a lot of people in the imperium are bald

what
Average ‘old’ space marine hair color
why is it like
Okay RHAT was the wrong gif
I can't see shit lmao

I meant to send a picture of the color white
Apparently I send a gif
are centurions canonically super rare or something
they what an inbetween of a terminator and a dreadnought
like functionally
they don't really have a use
literally power armour for your power armour
I like being over the top very loud with weaponry so i like them
They got deep rock galatica ass drill
Which is one of the reasons i also like the orcs
wtf is an orc
ah ok
oH GOD THE LOTR LAWYERS ARE COMIN RUN
Yes
Same with world of warcraft
And japanese anime
orc with a c is normal spelling
I’m AOS? They are called Orruks
I’m fantasy, I’m not sure
in warhammer fantasy no aos
In aos yes, but in the original warhammer fantasy they were just called Orcs
i like aos but I refuse to call a lot of things by their stupid names
lumineth realm lords
Ogre is easier motherfucker
it really is annoying how GW never uses actual fantasy names
it's tradmarkable, is what it is
Bro what’s wrong with the Ealves
Or the Dun… dundar…?
duradin
Dundari?
that one is also fine
Yeah
if it's like
You like elves?
GW has a couple of the dumbest legal advisors supporting the world's dumbest executives, which is why it happens.
their offical name but shorthand is still dwarves'
Orruk
SHORThand?
hell, dwarfs already HAD a copyrighted name in warhammer, they're the Dawi.
imaging being shorter than your chaos worshiping cousin
Orruk, ogors are two of the worst ones
I prefer the chaos dwarfs because of their very cool mobility scooters
And my god their machinery
don't make fun of a species that can punch you in the balls at any time
and the overall names for some factions is dumb
They did high elves boring in AOS, the dark elves and wood elves tho
They got a glow up
and death trains
They make some of the coolest shit
Dark Elves are due still, haven't gotten Umbraneth yet
just have the horny bait ones
Yeah but they have probably the best cities lore
Out of the main subfaction
Also deepkin technically
I would definitely ride a K'daai destroyer to battle, and my god the thing looks absolutely crispy on total war warhammer 3
Sidenote; can we talk about trh old dark elves name real quick?
I like Hammerhal and Greywater Fastness
the sound design in the trailer for the K'daai destroyer is just 10/10
Oh right Not!NorthAmerica
Full of Not!Americans on their Not!AircraftCarriers
Gathering slaves
yeah. no oil so cant be the Americans
Shout out to my Scottish friend who broke down the fact that DA are Americans to me lmao
WHF was VERY unsubtle
Or Cathay
Bro i got a close-up look of the Orc sla- I mean labourers and they look better than the older Orcs
Forced labour is still labour ig
it was to be like, the dark elves use their slaves for torture and pleasure and other fuckery, the chaos dwarves use them for labor, they do not give a shit about them other then for labor
tbf Araby wasnt that bad. it was hella stereotypical but not offensively so. mainly because it was mostly the cool stereotypes
I mean cathay is cool now as well
yeah
yeah
There was never a Nippon, it's just Clan Eshin now
Who would be the warhammer fantasy Canadians
"Honda Susuki"
also dark elves
Fair
they live mostly in the north of naggaroth I think right
if there's nissan then where's the toyota city
Enchanted blade folded a trillion bazillion times
Strong enough to cut through the thickest of manga
I think there is chaos worshiping humans in the north
like
farther north
By god. Tzeentch Hortons
wait there's kamikaze
Khornes poutinerie
how more disrespectful can you be
There's still the naked ashigaru
pygmies
imagine GW depicts characters from that region with buck teeth and straw hats
