It looks a bit less lego at least?
Inquisition stormtroopers were some of my favorite sculpts ever
Maybe in opposite world
I mean they beat the Imperial fists twice 2-0
Perturabo is also best Dad
I played the hell out of Eternal Crusade and Iron warriors were my bois, Really got into the warhammer lore through that game years ago
When did they beat them twice?
The Iron Cage sure but they didn't win on Terra
But in seriousness they're fun, I enjoy the aesthetic
They totally wrecked them on Terra, Iron warriors were the only ones who did anything of value in that battle and had almost breached the throne room, not their fault the rest of the invasion force sucked haha
Have you read the Siege books?
Because that's not really what happens, they bleed hard for ever inch they take, with a huge numerical and strategic advantage.
And yeah thats why i like them lol When i played Eternal crusade I researched all the available races and choices and I love the whole tech and that they are Chaos but refuse to use mutations and instead use cybernetics and implants
And then Perturabo throws a hissy fit and left far before the wall to the palace got breached.
Chaos undivided worshipped as a single beaing, the old one ahaha
I enjoy them but they didn't wreck them on Terra, they got held back. They were competent and good at their job but they also should have conquered Terra much faster.
Everyone else was getting royally screwed they did'nt have a choice
He definitely did
He just was upset he wasn't gonna win how he wanted.
If he had stayed they probably would have taken the palace in time funnily enough.
Remember he was used as cannon fodder before, he wasn't about to be the new cannon fodder...kinda sad that GW then used them as cannon fodder in every other story ahhaa
He also choose that role intentionally
Perturabo isn't someone who really deserves any sympathy, his biggest issue in life was himself.
He had lots of people who tried to be friends or assist him and he always pushed them away, he had a huge superiority complex which bit him in the ass endlessly.
And he eventually just became what he claimed to despise.
Not really, they did the brunt of the work and no credit for it, The other dorks marched around like puffed up chickens taking easy jobs
The "credit" was you do your job.
Dude just understood that the other primarchs and dad were mostly aholes
The Lion and Dorn never needed anyone to tell them they were doing a good job.
They just did their job.
The Emperor was an asshole sure but Perturabo isn't any better
He's a whiny brat who got mad whenever people weren't constantly giving him praise
And when they did he still got mad half the time.
He's always his own worst enemy throughout the entire siege.
Yeah but hes one of the best primarchs, Imagine what that dude has been building as far as weapons and war machines go
Every Primarch is "one of the best primarchs" they all did different things
He was awful at making friends or working with people which is partially why the Siege failed.
And why he ultimately also fell and failed.
Not really, Perturabo is a crazy good Engineer and inventor of war machines
He had a lot of potential but due to no one else but him, he never achieved it and never will.
Just like Ferrus and Vulkan were.
Among others tbh
Perturabo got all of the emperor's autism when he was created
Yeah he did but thats why he makes the best stuff
He makes some good stuff, Vulkan has been shown to make more impactful stuff tbh.
Hes been on his own Daemon world just building up his armies
Yeah and he has nothing to show for it.
Honsou has done more in a few hundred years than he's done in ten thousand years
Thats only because the bloody plot armour clad loyalists need people to beat on in badly written novels.
And it never makes any sense
Where does Perturabo get beaten in badly written novels?
He just doesn't do anything
Not him the Iron warriors them selves
They do plenty
The best shock troops in the imperium breed just for that purpose
You keep saying they're "the best", they were good but they weren't the best
They had a specific role.
Purturabo hasnt been seen or heard from until that snippit I linked
They got beaten plenty of times.
so we know that hes now on the war path
Yes I'm aware, for the first time in 10,000 years
So i hope eventually we get to see him and all the crazy chaos fueled tech hes been working on with the Iron Bois
Like its fine enjoying a legion, but just calling them "the best" is silly, he's one of several legions and daemon primarchs
His style of war needs HUGE numbers
He's probably gonna be devastating but that's literally every legion and daemon primarch.
His army must be bloody crazy at this point lol
They all do things differently.
I just hope hes become some sort of cybernetic thing instead of some winged horned dude in a suit. i would imagine him like a huge mech as a Daemon prince*
Magnus forgiver are so much more fun to interact with than Perti's
We do have a description of him in a short story
Like he isn't really that special or good
Where he talks to Honsou
He doesn't look too different in that, just bigger, more corrupted looking, and necrotic.
His Daemon Prince form that is
Yeah Fair, i am drawn to the tech of the iron warriors, itl be hordes and hordes of daemons turned into automotons
Well if they get around to a model for him I imagine they'll spruce it up a bit
Old Forgebreaker must be mean looking now
Also he stole all the Iron Fists gene seed so wouldnt that mean you would have Iron Fists versus corrupt Iron fists haha
Take off their helmets and realize they are brothers
Honsou is partially Imperial Fists geneseed, most of the traitor legions are loyalist geneseed
The newer guys at least
Yeah, but perturabo can make more from himself correct?
Can't remember if the Primarchs can harvest more from themselves or not
Ooh im reading and yes they can.
But he would produce some Daemon geneseed now..but that would make for some crazy iron warrior SM
We don’t really know but it seems not
Especially because the geneseed supply issues Honsou and Co had until they got all the Imperial Fists geneseed
Mmm, that’s inherently apart of the traitor marine warband way of life. Gene-seed within their bodies corrupts over time and becomes all but useless for re-implantation. Which is why they regularly raid chapters and scavenge from the dead so they have more second class, fodder marines for future endeavours.
... is this a fist i see above me?
The mutated geneseed doesn’t really work anymore for the most part.
Though the DG do some weird corruption to captured geneseed before implantation per their codex.
Looking through an article on Easter eggs, and they've done translations on some of the dark text examples scattered around Tertium
One wierd on they found was "BAKGURANI AGKWAMI"
Which is quite a deep lore reference
There's also "GUNAGHGHYRAN"
For Plaguebearers: Aghkam' ghran' ngi
For Nurgling: Khan' gurani'i
Each chaos Daemons and even in most case blessings have names in the Black Tongue
so they are trying to summon a great unclean one?
Isn't it the goal of most Chaos (Nurglite) Cults
true
btw. how do the cults of Khorne summon in daemons?
is it intentional with a ritual or is it more just "kill a bunch of people and the daemons will start showing up"
Bit of both
Bit of both, all Daemon are able to be summoned by thematic stuff, simple Warp happenstance/storms or rituals
Both
Rituals can be done
But just killing a bunch of shit catches their attention
Rituals make it easier in most cases
And supposedly rituals make it more safe to get the right Daemons
Or more importantly: people believe it will make it safer to get the right daemon
Well it's not a fully comprehended fields
Exactly my point
Somewhat but no
People to a extent believe it is correct, and thus the daemons will cater to that belief
Unless you count pressing someone in a ball to be Shrinking
I prefer napalm
Even if we take to a RL/mythos, the various beings that populate our dreams don't actually follow rules, at least not to us, they follow their own set of rules, some that you may be privy to, and other that will leave you daft as an oaf
Do you count accidents involving warp magic
Every cult can be different but the most common ones are
Khorne; usually gladiator rings or fight clubs
Nurgle; either things similar to leper colonies, general disease and plagues, people wnating to escape said plagues, or actually hospitals do get a lot of nurgle cults
Tzeentch; honestly anything that has to do with knowledge or magic. Library planets or places with lot of pykers usually spawn tzeentch cults
Slaanesh; basically anywhere, as long as there’s obsessions and excess a Slaanesh cult can spawn
Slaanesh is the easiest cult to spawn but also probably the easiest to find and kill
I’d disagree, khornate ones are easier, as warrior gods are common.
Fertility gods are also common
Guess what nurgle gets worshipped as

Along with one of his most powerful daemons being known as
The Rainfather
Surely no one could make an accident due to bad crop harvests
Tzeentch is one of the harder to find ones.
Khorne, slaanesh and Nurgle are all pretty common
Tzeentch only shows up on much more populous worlds
If Thanquol can summon one by "accident" in fantasy (let alone Skarbrand at that), then yeah I'd agree using that point alone that Khornate cults should be easier to find and/or summon $daemon
There’s less material to work with practically
Yeah
a deamon engine is pretty close to that level of summoning though
Yes, praise hashut
A greater daemon showing up on a planet usually == the planet is fucked
hindsight ; not the best compare perhaps but still a comparison none the less between how a skaven/dwarf would summon a deamon vs how an iron hand would for example
Mainly because in 40k their general power/threat level is based on SM, while in Fantasy it's against normal humen
Yeah
also if daemons end the world in fantasy the setting ends
while in 40k it's just a tuesday
Well its the advantage of being universe bound and not planet bound I suppose
Still I'm hoping for Plagubearer soon
Yeah probably in more tribal societies, but I doubt you are gonna see a blood cult in like super Chicago
Man, you’d be surprised
you can find blood cults in current chicago.
Bloods and crypts but it’s khrone and tzeentch lmao
Either one of us doesn't know Chicago or there are different Chicago
Its quite likely that a lot of Martial Dojo that are hidden Khornate Cult
Most of the “gun violence” problem in America is in that area, simply thanks to their lack of attempts to keep gangs from shooting each other.
It’s mostly specific areas in specific cities that is where the most crime happens.
That said, most of the issue is cultural and parental.
WTF 26 people ahve already died this year in Chicago
My brother in Christ, you’re talking about a place that has the nickname “chiraq” over how bad the crime is.
I’m from idaho a murder of 3 people literally terrified the entire state
Buddy, no one cares if it’s gang vs gang crime unfortunately because there’s no political agenda you can push with it.
What is your favourite Chaos Cult idea/concept ?
Space Aztecs
What with the Blades of Khornes ?
So in the mortal realms literally khrone was there form the start in tribes
He has like 30 aspects of him lmao
Personally I prefer space druids
The blood god, the brass god, the bull, so on and so forth
Note, brass bulls are also hashut’s thing as well
And they were like ‘fuck civilization, I wanna kill’
Return to murderhobo
Yea and they killed so much that khrone spanwed in existence for a little bit and fuckinh punched a floating island
It was full of wizards who liked using the tribals as slaves lamo
For Khorne mine might be Blood Gardeners, with Blood Roses and stuff
OH YEAH WNANA KNOW WHERE THE FIRST NURGLE CULT IN AOS CAME FROM?
It’s the funniest shit
Is it doctors?
A bunch of farmers wanted to have the best harvest
For a festival
But their neighbors were better
So the farmers were like ‘well- let’s make a disease to ruin their crops’
So they got a giant pot and began brewing up a blight
You know sneaking out at night and salting their fields would be cheaper right?
Lmao
Literally just Carthage their asses
And that’s why they ahve a shit load of scythes and farming stuff
Raiding their village would be more fun
You technically are, if not doing worse to their farms
But if you raid their village, then you can take control of their fields
But if you salt their fields, they can all starve and suffer
Yeah, but your fields still would be shit
Considering Chicago had some downright absurd differences within 5 minutes drive from downtown
I think "two different Chicagos" is a remarkably apt description of the city
Most cities are like that, good and bad sides
Except the bad sides are REAAAALLLY well known
And it gets real bad because shockingly enough, doing the same thing over and over worked well the first time.
When the arbities kill team get 40k rules what do you think tehy will play like?
I bet they will either be like, objective gimmick or maybe super tough guard
Or maybe aura gimmicks with the speakers and stuff
I like how they just had a recipe for "a blight" already in their heads
Build a fence, milk the cows, roast some yams, brew a blight
Also like... Chicago has a population of 2.7 million people
Well also i mean if alot of people are in a smaller area, more things are gonna happen in that smaller area
Most shootings don’t really effect the population
Its just basic math
Hell massive accidents don’t really matter either
At the end of the day human life is worthless except to the people who are close to that person who dies
Oh look at mr. Dark eldar over here
anyone has the source, where the Dark Angels were considering to destroy Gulliman?
Someone halfway across the world who’s never met you won’t think about you dying
But your friends will
Why would they wanna kill big G
The codex
They thought he was gona kill them all
When he woke up?
Oh right
was hoping there was more in-depth story
I mean i dunno guilliman was having like daemon princes teleport on his location to try to throw him into the warp every other day right?
Lmao yeah, it’s not even that nurgle whispered it, they just did it on their own
Then the galaxy got cut in half by the warp. If i was guilliman id be like "dark angels? Who?"
And nurgle kinda just ‘cool thanks give some gifts <3’
Wasnt he working with the necrons too?
Well one necron king that was like "yo i need fix a pylon" and everyone was like "lets do it"
How uncommon would it be for a chapter master or for 30k equerry to be able to wear a handme down or individual pieces of a primarchs armor, kinda like the myth of the crux terminatus having a piece of the emperors armor in it but just with a singular shoulder plate/gauntlet/knee guard
Primarch armor is way too fricken big
Doesn’t Azrael have the lion’s original helmet?
unconfirmed
it also doesn't look like a perfect 1 to 1
as its too small
like this is The Lion's helmet
The one Azreal has is a MK VII helmet
Didn't horus have a marine wearing his armor to fool an assassin
they're probably walking in it like they're on stilts
Well then check out this new episode of lore crimes about horus, i think that info is on there
For today's Warhammer 40,000 Pub Quiz the Lorecrimes team will be quizzed on the Warmaster: Horus Lupercal!
Andy (@TheRemembrancer) shall be Quizmaster whilst Eli (@DeadliftsForTheDarkGods), Colin ( @pancreasnowork9939) and Hal (@TheAmberKing) are tested on their knowledge on Primarch of the 16th Legion!
From his rise to the rank of Warmaster ...
its in there
swag
imagining a marine like having to stand on the leg armor to be high enough just shuffling around
because thats primarch terminator armor

What if we bringed a few psykers to fight a demon host lore wise ? ☠️
You’d still be fucked odds are
Depending on the Daemonhost it still may even be counter productive
Mmmm free food
Wasn't there a Daemon or Daemonhost that could invade the mind of any Psyker that was around it ?
They hit him with a titan weapon iirc
to make sure that bastard died
And it was a decoy
lmao
that book was good though
The worst part was it wasn't even a double, it was just one of his captains instead, but they didn't even bother to wait to make sure it was Horus
I kinda hated that book ngl, the start with them doing their own little missions was fun but god it was so dumb after.
I'm gonna be honest, that scene with Valdor pointing at people and going "Death" followed by them exploding was cool as hell
but yeah they were really bad at their job
I still enjoyed it though
is the emperor dead or still alive
Yes
Mastiff handler class so that we can use the space program doggo's when
He sure is
define "dead"
He's just practicing intermittent fasting.
he might be a perpetual
Which would explain why he isn't dead yet
At least it's one of many possible explanations
Emps body is dead but kept "alive" in life support, his soul is keep healthy by force feeding him psyker souls
a new Iron Hands pet?
Anyone else feel like Mortarion kinda just exists to get dicked on?
as he deserves to be
i just think hes a bland character xD
Fair.
like any of the other traitor primarchs would make for a more interesting "active" protagonist for Chaos
i also think Nurgle is probably the most boring of the Chaos Gods too to be fair
Morty’s whole thing is getting dicked over and just trudging on.
Fuck Typhus, man.
Mortarion had everything he worked for taken away from him by a twink in a golden suit of armor claiming to be his father.
Nurgle coolest chaos god by far
Arguably one of the most powerful.
Only atm
Do you rot? Get sick? Die?
Chaos Gods by cool factor goes Nurgle, Khorne, Slaanesh, Tzeentch
Or anything that causes discomfort and/death?
If you said yes to any of those things, you are now Nurgle’s bitch.
The coolest chaos god is the God Emperor
The kurze explanation is hilarious.
Kurze?
Mortarion is just sad and pretty
Also sometimes he’d make tapestries and statues out of human flesh with the people who owned the flesh worked in to it. Often while they were still alive and kept alive at the same time.
Chaos, right?
Nah.
Mortarion meme: smelly boi
You what?
He did it just for fun even before becoming a traitor.
He’s not Chaos- oh.
Kurze was a mad lad well before big E found him.
He once stopped someone from killing themselves because suicide was illegal on that planet. Then killed them anyway for trying to break the law.
Yes, really.
Altho his true insanity started only later
Kills squad of night lords and eats bits of them
I’ve always argued the night lords changed the least of all the legions. They were always sadists and torturers and they’re still doing what they do. Now they just have more viable targets.
Aarotron, he ate people as a child
Hey sometimes you just want to eat people. It’s not his fault those kids were walking around full of meat.
Or blood in the case of the BA.
Yes. Altho at that time because of necessity rather than enjoyment
Curze was just quirky like that and that's why he's the best primarch
I like corax and lion of loyalists
Curze is only one on traitor side i care about
Like how lion often acted like he was lowkey autistic
Kurze lore is really good. I always encourage folks to look him up.
It’s really messed up, but it’s interesting.
Mortarion lore is just, "Got everything he worked for fucked up because of a golden twink."
Honestly all the loyalists act like they're on the spectrum sometimes
I feel angrons backstory was made bit dumb
They were created for a specific purpose so it’s not surprising.
They weren’t born, they were designed. If that makes sense.
Someone: questions lions approach
Lion: that a personal attack or somethin'?
Angron has a good background tbh it's just that as a daemon primarch (and a decent chunk of HH) he's pretty one-note
I honestly feel bad for Morty.
Ah yes, Angron the failure primarch.
I like how lazy morty was after heresy
And Khorne’s second tier or maybe third tier choice.
Listen, when you kill people just by getting within a mile, I think you'd get pretty lazy too.
Khorne wanted blood angels yet had to suffice for angron
That’s what I believe.
If Angron and Kharn flipped personalities I think World Eaters would be a lot cooler, Kharn is the better icon for the legion
Khorne regretting it every day
I think Morty and Typhus are supposed to be the two sides of Nurgle.
Morty is all about perseverance no matter what, and Typhus is infections and plagues.
I mean thats pretty obvious. World Eaters and Blood Angels traded personality once their primarchs got involved
Morty lisen morty we needs to spread nurgles gifts burps
Oh gee typhon i dont know
Typhus can go suck Nurgle's taint.
Rotten (no pun intended) piece of shit.
Betrayed the man who saved his life.
One primarch i trully hate is lorgar
The evil Psykers?
I just read a meme about Morty getting his...heart written on?
What's that about?
Okay so a Grey Knight's name got carved onto Mortarion's heart? What?
I'm so lost.
I had made this joke in vet chat when we were talking about Primarchs in there, and I've just found this meme.
Yea matt wards little mary sue kaldor draigo writing his friends name in morty heart
One more time?
Also, SCP memes started getting mixed into my Mortarion memes, which is weird.
Kaldor draigos fellow grey knight was slain by mortarion. Kaldour swore revenge and during their duel, he wrote his friends name in mortarions heart
Canonically?
Kaldor draigo is essentially walking talking plot point that is impossible to take seriously
He was made to this super soldier that just casually curbstomps chaos forces and travels in warp alone
cough cough loser cough cough
He was handywork of matt ward. Person responsible for making ultramarines hated
UMs being under Girly man bitch baby?
Huh?
do GunPsykers exist in canon? Or is it some cursed meta that appeared here
Ye ultra smurfs are guillimans
Matt ward wrote them dreadfully during time gw had no concept of quality control
Although they have recovered from that status
Girlyman piss boy.
But some people are still pissy about it to this day
Second is the "basic bitch" complaint
It’s completely possible for any psyker to carry a laspistol around.
Sidearms are very useful.
I just find it dumb that Lorgar grew up on a planet that worshipped chaos, rejected it because he was a monotheist, and then God got mad at him so he went back to Chaos, but I don't really hate Lorgar that much
Lag mb
You're good.
"commissar"-energy? but not fkn ReconGuns with psyker augmented attacks
LukeSkywalker with warp-augmented unnatural aim etc?
Right.
Thanks. just wanted to place my mind at rest
It’s just easier to carry a pistol and just something in the head at times.
my brother in christ psykers literally have a laspistol on the tabletop
And I think in the books there is a Psyker that use a Sniper Rifle
And I think there is a Divination technique letting the Psyker do near impossible shots
Yeah
Also there were a group of thousand sons
Who were snipers
Which sounds as terrifying as you think it is
Not sure, but how cool would it be to fire flaming or electrified bullets?
It would be cool indeed, and it would be cooler to not limit such thing to a class
In other words, it would work great for the actual gun customisation system they said would be in the game in an old article
Like the one in jericho game lol
Yeah lol
Hol on... You know about that game? Aren't you quite young?
I like old stuff bcs my some of my cousins lol
They showed me a lot of stuff when I was a kid
May them be blessed to have taught well a new generation
Having non-warp means of self defense and offense is something you want as a rule
Play dark heresy.
The warp isn’t reliable
Exactly
Also it’s good to have tool to commit suicide
You really really don’t want to be caught alive
By a lot of the factions in 40k
The only 2 that wouldn’t horrifically
Murder you are like
Craftworld eldar and Tau
You’re optimistic
Murder you horrifically is a good ending
It can get FAR FAR worse
Has someone posted the exerpt
Of a guy getting turned into a flesh portal
While he’s alive
Like with his spine contorting into a circle
I dunno - feels like Psykers should be glass cannons.
Yup - but not as a main to replace the staff?
Right now psykers are just glass
In Lore: do ALL psykers use staves?
No.
Game should allow Psykers to carry 3 weapons if 3rd is pistol
(i don't really care for gunkers)
Playing psyker is so dependent upon your team. If your teammates don’t give a duck about coherence and do dumb stuff, you’re doomed
More so than any other class

playing ogryn to do penance.. every 4-5 games, the game or matchmaking or team wants to really break my Faultless Execution.
As a psyker, I leave a match if I get 3x vets/bots
Then do it with zealot. Far more survivability or better yet a team that helps
For suciude they have Psykana Mercy Blades
Which I hope come as a Force Knife of sort
I really hope they make it possible for tartaros terminators to frontflip like angelos did in dow3 it'd be super funny
If any can though…..Tartaros can
YEET!
Could primaris marines in the equivalent of terminator armor whatever it's called aggressor armor do a front flip
No
Not unless it has thrusters glued to it
And anti grav boots
When then it would prolly suck to do lol
Or you could just grab a nearby ogryn to flip 'em
Primaris marines doing tf2 taunts
Well, a certain furry santa lookalike can sprint in terminator armor fast enough to 1shot a grandmaster grey knight
But thats as over the top as terminator feats get
Even with Logan, I think it was it was a one-off. Purely fueled by that good, good enraged adrenaline

What would be the most extreme cosmetic modification to the body that would be a cosmetic earned through achievements or Aquilas
Like for character customization what would be the most insane you'd think of
Also melta version of this when
Complete replacement of like the entire jaw + a fuck ton of bionics lol
I could also see like
More absurd things
Arm augmetic that is actually a concealed carry plasma gun but it's veined with gold or something
So it's cool and hot
augmented eyes and skull
And vein them with gold
Depend if we get an Admech archetype
It's always a sign of “look how much better I am than you” if your augmetics are veined with precious metals
@echo vault izat...Izat a double barrel sawed off plasma gun?
Sawing off a Plasma Gun would not be a good idea
Ork Mekboy mindset
He doesn't really sprint though afaik, more that it has a very fast swing with his axe, he was already close to the grandmaster
Honestly it would be super funny if you got one of those double barrel bolter in one hand and that thing in the other and just run it as a combi plasma
It's just a plasma blaster yo
No it's a twin linked plasma gun
It can kinda be like that
Tbf, Inceptors can front flip technically, vanguard suppressors too
It would just be finnicky to balance the jump pack, servo legs and grab-chute to correctly do it
I mean it depends
I mean I still dont get why people misunderstood the cod comment so badly
Hedge was talking about shit like this lmao
Wtf?
Suffer
I mean I could do better with mods.
thats basically what they did with the weapon families
like the autoguns share the same upper and lower
I mean, part of that is because sweats don’t care about aesthetics
There is a different scale, with Modification, just scopes would be already a lot, with Bayonet and stuff being icing on the cake (So just special attack change
They kinda do
They care only about stats
people complain about changing anything in 40k
the gamer fanbase especially
"WHY IS THIS BOLTER FIRING SO FAST"
"WHY IS MY GUN SHOOTING BULLETS"
theres cod as in tactical attachments, and cod as in moving bright weed 420 cammo print
the combi disintegrator
second half
speaking of
WHY IS MY GUN A GUN
Anyway when is the Snoop Dog Reject pack
why does my las have recoil.....
well there is a certain pimp looking gentleman in 40k already
Does it still work
Lasgun Recoil
YAY it doe
call it a fabius bile cosplay
I mean if we wanted to do it right, have the attachments be family specific
Did the Historitor mute you? If so I'm sorry but lmao people must have been complaining
Maybe the bayonets, the sights, and the slings are changeable for the Lucius pattern
I want a flashlight on my pistol so I'm not blind during dark missions
Doesn't mute you
Just put the thingy
this looks like cod, the only difference is they are counted like 3 different guns instead of 1 u can tune
Like with Corpse Starch
Yeah it puts an emote react
its mostly a joke for "PLEASE DONT TALK ABOUT RECOIL"
before the game came out everyone was making it a topic
Here’s how I’d fix the light problem on the Lucius
Tape and hose clamps
Tbf there wasn't much else to complain about with the original trailer
It slapped
Yeah but this was like a lot
like every day
I like that it has recoil, don't know why but i do
guns should kick when fired, simple as
Recoiless gun feel and mostly don't make sense as general use gun
People who say they don’t want recoil on a gun in a game are stupid
Recoil makes guns feel better
A lot of the time
then again
my biggest issue with the weapons
is they didnt model the lasguns laser range finder
this littlem thing here
thats there for an actual important reason lol
I thought it was a optic they fucked up on the height.
It’s not a weaver or picatinny rail, it was circular. Maybe it uses the weaver screw system for optics but IDK.
nope
lasguns have a range finder kinda thing
to regulate how much energy they need to shoot at x distance
ingame they kinda omitted it and it has an empty escape with iron sights on it
I mean iron sights are rather nice to have
As in, it’s real hard to aim without them
funnily enough, with a weapon that shoots a bright laser
u could skip aiming with sights and aim like u could do with tracers
ie shoot and correct the aim by seeing where the shot goes
Most of the time they tend to be semi auto or burst fire from what I’ve seen with dark heresy
if we go by dan abnett books, u can choose semi and full
Here’s what I meant by the weaver screw system
(and lets pretend dark heresy isnt a thing, that series has gone long enough to contradict itself and everything else a lot)
I’m talking the ttrpg
Depends on the pattern as with every weapon, some are only semi auto, some only full, some burst and some change
Some like the triplex can also change how much power you put out per single shot
Btw in dark heresy we do have something akin to twin linked lasguns
Im a fan of the triplex for the fact it potentially has an optic
Which is really nice
Merovech with double magazine gang
If I wanted as much ammo as possible, I’d just get some tape and do it that way.
At least then I have 2 mags so I am not completely off guard
But you do have two mags on a merovech, they are just both already inside
But then it’s more mechanically complex, and it’s longer and etc
I’m choosing jungle mags for mechanical simplicity and aesthetics
This is actually well withing canon
And is the very same reason people mock Azrael's gun lmao
Eh, not really, at least in the one you posted there is actually enough space for ammo to reach the chamber, on the old lion'r roar there wasn't, and the magazine was too far away from the chamber too
this is fine
this was the issue
that they cut a chunk off to make it fit
and the bullets had no way to go where they had to other than teleporting
Duct tape isn't available in the 40K, they use chains instead
Maybe it is just a random berzerker
I feel like Drukahri would have alot of gambling and casinos tbh
Eh, really.
They are both goofy guns
Honestly is there any notable casinos in 40k at all? totally not because I’ve been playing like 100 hours of fallout nv and want to make a casino themed army
I love 40ks goofy guns
It’s amazing world building
OMG THEY DID TYRANID GUNS?!
I want a pure biological break down of nids it would be amazing
They sometimes do that but barely
In this old codex it says Fleshborers emit bio-chemical shock causing it's "living ammunition" called 'Borer Beetles' inside to "kick" itself out of the bioweapon with force akin to ballistic projectiles.
its a bit lol but
To be fair it would be a pain in the ass to make it actually coherent
Honestly considering some bugs and fish can literally make a gas chamber to build up pressure to fire out chemicals or liquids or would be cool to see that in nid guns
Using a muscle to fling a bug sounds pretty dumb tbh lmao
But it’s still cool
yeah its fine lmao
‘Warp fiend skull casing, extreme resistant to weapon fatigue’
What???????
What does that mean?????
How does a skull drilled to a giant hunk of metal do- what ever that means
OK so I can forgive bad gun design, but that daemon's jaw is one piece. It's mouth would have been frozen permanently open like some kind of forbidden soyjack, and it also had teeth that would've pointed straight forward from the sides of its mouth
Very thick skull, plasma cannot penetrate
space magic skull doesn't boil away when plasma leaks
Skulls are cheap and apparently a ok thermal sink.
If you squeezed a grimoire would juice come out
it means the warp skull is more resistant than normal materials, so its less likely to break with repeated use
Depends on the grimoire.
If it’s one of nurgle? Pus. Slaanesh? Sexual fluids. Khorne? BLOOD!
Well im referring to the darktide one so it would be like
Slime
As I said, probably pus.
Probably super pus
Cottage cheese pus
Yes
Mashed potatoes are already damp because they have milk and butter in them
Or cream whatver
I was thinking more like a gigantic pimple’s worth of pus
What if it's like crispy like a scab with that like bud of dried blood and green pus
Like right after you pop it
Ok I'm gonna stop
embrace grandpa nurgle, he shares his gifts with all
This is why I prefer khorne.
khorne is the true sigma god, he cares not for who fights as long as someone does
He also bullies wizards, which is a legitimate and positive action in terms of his opinion upon meritocratic murder
He kinda already does
He’s not above a little support of imperials to give him a edge in the great game of chaos
Pretty bare bones but Arks of Omen isn't action packed rn
Right now it's mostly review material but once the next book comes out you'll probably see lore youtubers covering it
Funny you ask
ah nvm, but yeah I get what you mean about storylines
Ork says pedia in Russia?!
If you wana stay up to date on storylines without buying anything 🏴☠️
If you wana stay up to date on big story stuff
You’ll have to buy the supplement books for stuff
Or rule books
Khorne’s hatred for psykers is ironic considering chaos is an inherently magical entity(s)
Like take Angrons very own summoning during the war for Armageddon: magical
He isn’t against magic, he’s against using it as a offensive technique.
I’m aware
I’m making a point
As chucking fireballs has no skill
Well maybe it does who knows?
As with everything related to Chaos: it’s hypocritical
Everything regarding Khorne and his followers is magical, same as with other followers of chaos
It’s the irony and the hypocrisy behind Khornate followers own disdain for magic that is funny to me, despite the fact they use magic to accomplish their goals
Like yes, all this rage that is imbued into all of Khorne’s followers totally isn’t magic that totally isn’t used to slaughter millions
Like yeah this rage that World Eaters feel isn’t totally magnified by their chosen deity and is only affected by the butchers nails /s
Khorne hates magic fireballs but you best believe he’s alright with sorcery. Which is hypocritical in my opinion. “Oh yeah I hate it when you conjure a magic flamethrower, but please by all means, use magic to summon my most powerful daemons.”
I think khorne just doesn’t like ranged combat
I mean, it's the only way to get them to realspace so it makes sense he's cool with summoning
I know I’m just arguing semantics for the sake of it but man, Khorne’s lowkey the lamest chaos god in my own opinion
Need more Tzeentch love
it’s chaos, trying to make sense of it is gonna hurt your brain
Yeah but it really isn’t that confusing, regardless of the constant shtick
Chaos is surprisingly consistent when it comes to each of the 4 gods core tenets
No Malal? Ok.
Malal is very old lore that isn’t even a thing in current 40k, despite how cool of a premise the god is
I mean... It's basically the fact they are consistent with their tenets that makes them so powerful as they are fueled by them
Malal doesn’t count because Malal isn’t even a thing in universe
Again, really really cool idea for a 5th “underdog” chaos god, but the entity doesn’t even exist
Malice was in early 40k but that’s it. Retconned out because idk why. Sorry had to correct that because idk why newer fans like Malal so much even though the fucker doesn’t even exist
Sorry if that sounds condescending as that’s not my intention
Yes I’ll agree. The Chaod gods gain power via their followers fueling whatever it is that fuels that particular god. Same as with any other unaligned soul fueling the gods through their actions in certain instances
However I guess if we want to use Khorne as an example, the god doesn’t hate ranged combat. Plenty of Khornate followers use ranged weapons. It’s cowardly combat that Khorne hates and even then he really doesn’t. The fucker doesn’t care where the blood comes from
Khorne and Slaanesh in particular are rather stereotyped by the fans and occasionally authors the most due to their relative simplicity in values. However Khorne is far more than just a doom slayer wannabe god, and Slaanesh is far far far more than just “sex sex sex”
Slaanesh gains power through EXCESS and the pursuit of perfection. The god feeds off of someone reveling in the excess of something, whether that be money, food, sex, literally anything
Khorne gains power through the act of slaughter, murder, and the general removal of life. It does not necessarily matter HOW, though melee combat is preferred as it is more visceral and there is generally more emotion put behind it
The gods feed on emotion. That is how they gain their power. The emotion gained from the act of killing, of overthrowing your captors, of finding that new hidden knowledge, of digging too deep
So with all that said, Khorne is a hypocrite lmao
Khorne is cool
Khorne shouldn’t really care if his followers use “offensive” magic or what not because they already do. He does not care from whence the blood flows
Khorne’s fuckin overrated in my opinion
Well Im not about to let evan peters tell me who to like
Haha thank you for the compliment. I’ve been told I look like him before
If it’s not a compliment…. Well he’s still hot as fuck
But nah not trying to make people change their minds, the god itself just has no real depth in my own opinion
eh, i think the "not caring from where the blood flows" is more a way to say that any bloodshed will still fuel him, but he's still able to have "preferred" ways for it.
Agreed. As I’ve stated already myself
There's a champion of Khorne in 40k with a ton of guns
Like he's got a hand thats covered in them
Thank you. Exactly what I’m saying. Khorne isn’t just some doom slayer faction. They use guns lmao
Hell Khorne doesn't even hate psykers he hates sorcerers
in particular
In 40k
Which 99.9% of chaos psykers end up becoming
It’s more so he hates psykers who use magic in a cowardly or indirect way
He doesn’t hate psykers or sorcerers. He hates COWARDS
he doesn't like sorcerers since they aren't using their own power or power they've earned
they use others/tap into power they've bargined for
if a psyker can snap a tank in half he's not gona bat an eye
because that psyker can do that naturally
And also magic and Khorne don’t really mesh well as that rage tends to overpower most emotion, and magic needs depth of emotion to be utilized properly
now if a sorcerer does that

All the Major chaos gods are too strong to go into real space lol
yeah, it sent the message before i could complete it
Uhh yeah not just Khorne. None of the gods can fully materialize in real space as they are inherently against the material plane
They are magical beings
ikik, it was a joke that got sent before i could complete it
Yeah it’s all semantics lol I got the joke
Also, the chaos gods don't really care about the materium enough to want to go personally.
Are Goremage Psyker or Sorcerer ?
Both
What is difference between stub and auto gun
Both are bullet based ballistic weaponry
Welcome to informal terminology
Bolter used grenade round but stub and auto seems similar
Bolter uses self propelled rockets with varying payloads
Just saw the datamined weapon list and wonder..
So not quite grenade rounds tbh
Auto guns are characterized by being "self loading" so either semi or fully automatic
Stub guns refer to the whole range of ballistic weapons
Heavy stubbers are normally heavy machineguns
Probably not referred to as heavy autoguns because it's not catchy
those grenades be rocket propelled
Both are the same things, but often times it's dependent on the bullet size
And most often Stubgun are semi Automatic rather than Full Auto
They are both slug throwers... What? Did you really expected some consistency and reasonable management in guns made by weirdos during the '80?
We have auto weapons, stub weapons, slug throwers and solid projectile weapons... More or less they all refer to the same things
You would do better by just disregard both stub and auto weapons terms, since those are clearly stupidly made and implemented
Regarding the stub rifle here what we have:
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Stub_Rifle
the only true difference you'll ever get is that autoguns use caseless ammo and stubs don't (and even then as usual, depends on the writer), otherwise they both refer to "generic human projectile weapon"
also usually autoguns have higher rate of fire than stubs
Never understood why people use stubs and autoguns when lasguns exist lol
Because they don't have access to lasgun tech, or maybe they simply prefer it, if you don't have logistic problems then the autuguns are arguably a better choice than lasgun
You can use different kind of ammo for autoguns, not with the lasgun
An autogun can be suppressed and its flash hidden, you cannot do the same with lasgun
stubguns tend to show up outside of warzones where it would be difficult to obtain "military hardware" and on stuff like heavy stubbers which you can probably explain away with tank power requirements but tbh is probably just rule of cool
Also, autoguns wounds are more dangerous than lasgun one, since one bleed while the other is cauterized by the las
Autoguns can also become like small "bolters" if you load them with explosive ammo
Like, if there is no logistic problem, autoguns are more versatile than lasgun, and with lasgun having recoil then it is no easier to use for new recruits... Maybe the one advantage is the lack of leading a target, since the "bullet" speed is light speed so for practical use is instant
could be a matter of rate of fire or sustained full auto draining lasguns otherwise why would hot shot volley guns exist
Hot shot lasgun don't shoot faster, they shoot a stronger beam, of course varying with pattern, some just shoot lots of beam, which would kinda do the same effect by hammering the same spot in very short time
yeah but the volley gun does shoot faster
It shoot faster by having two barrels
Autoguns are unironically superior weapons in a lot of respects
Lasguns are cheap, mass produced, and disposable
Lasguns are also usually portrayed as semi-auto by default and I believe autoguns have a higher rate of fire in the tabletop
Finally someone else that see the truth!
Once it was possible to use autogun equippend model while using lasguns stas for how similar they were powerwise
i f* love heavy weapon team's auto cannon in dow 1
Dunno if that is still possible
I did not know that about volley guns interesting fact but it still stands to reason the autogun would fill a light MG/SMG type of role
Autoguns can also be repaired by the average craftsman, sources dispute on if a Guardsman can repair his own lasgun or if he needs a tech priest
Bruh, they are superior battle rifle, they aren't SMG lol
uh huh
Yeah, we have sources that state that lasgun either need a tech-priest for changing barrel and other sources stating that veterans are fully capable to even add a second barrel for increased firepower
Imagine a scar-h, or an AK, then make it more reliable and even faster shooting, and in some cases even stronger...
that was my only point, that it shoots fast
In game or in lore ?
@ripe ravine think you might find this nice
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/images/5/5f/HotshotVolleyGun.jpg
You can see the two barrels here
i mean, smg's are just autopistols lol
Lore
Just feels weird to me that someone in lore would choose a revolver or a handgun over a laspistol but I guess it depends on your money and what you have access to
Autoguns I could kinda see though
From the points made above
A revolver, especially a big one, can also be more useful for intimidation than a laspistol
Idk I would be more intimidated by a thing that can burn my insides with a bolt that’s hotter than the sun 👀
If you have flak armour you are more capable to survive a laspistol bolt than a revolver bullet, just saying
Do we know any significance of the 73-7 icons on the some of the armour pieces
Looks like the promo veteran and ogryn have the same ones.
I believe it’s like the Warband/Regiment designation
Wouldn’t the flak armor be specifically designed to stop solid projectiles
Gutted that I just freehanded a 3-7 but realised I missed a number and haven't left space.
AHAHAHAHAAH, nope, it is pretty much useless against direct solid projectile bullets... But it has good energy dissipation capabilities
It is designated to stop flaks, which are fragments and shards, and the occasional low velocity deflected bullet
It doesn’t do much to lasgun shots either, at least a decent hit, but it can help with glancing blows
It’s mostly for shrapnel and other stuff like that
Don'w worry, no one is born with innate knowledge, and even then, 40K setting is pretty messy itself
It is meant to provide defence against low-velocity, dispersed damage, such as explosions, shrapnel and ricochet material, rather than to protect against a direct impact, in which case the armour's protection is almost negligible. The ablative characteristics of the armour provide further defence against heat and energy based damage.
I find it hilarious that it give further protection from energy based damage than solid projectile
That’s mostly what they’re dealing with so it makes sense
And yet, the main weapons that rebel would use are autoguns
Planetary rebels i mean
Like, a world decided to go YOLO and secede
There’s a bit in the GG books where Chaos Special forces switched from a hardened biological armor to a ablative one over the course of the Sabbat wars because it was more effective overall with how much Las weaponry they were dealing with
Like vraks lets say, the rebels there used agripinaa pattern autoguns because that was what they had in their warehouse on their world
Yeah but flak is mostly fine for smaller cal stuff like that
Yeah, if you are dealing with IG you definitely want something that can disperse or deflect energy based stuff
It’s when you get into the bigger stuff and actual quality stubbers and autoguns that it becomes an issue
Bruh, agrippinaa pattern is stated to be an heavy hitter among autoguns, it is no way a low cal weapon...
They’re fine but I don’t think it’s what they mean when they talk about high cal.
They are using MG cal ammo
High cal in 40k terms is generally referring to heavy stubbers and revolvers and stuff
On a random note the book I’m reading has an ecclesiarchy priest actually having an easier time than a psyker in dispelling malevolent psychic forces with a ritual. I didn’t know they had that kind of power
Like, full power rifle ammo
It varies
And revolver have smaller cal than autoguns
@simple sparrow belief in the Emperor has a notable effect on daemons
Unless specific patterns, that have a similar one
I thought the priests and clergy were just all talk kinda like priests irl
But for the faith thing, it just depends
That they couldn’t actually do anything
Yeah, but a revolver isn't gonna use a bigger bullet than an autogun most of the time
Some are able to perform real miracles
@simple sparrow yes. But the daemons fall for that kinda stuff
Or the Emperor acts through them..
Others are as you say powerless or what not
It doesn’t even matter if they believe it always too
Faith stuff is weird in 40k
And very inconsistent
Even SoB mostly can’t use it consistently although it does pop up with them the most
Also a high ranking figure of the scholastica psykana at the beginning of the book implies that more people than Psykers can access the warp through belief or feelings
Excluding figures like Stern
Which I thought was interesting
As it is rn, GW is still establishing stuff with faith powers and the like
So was the priest actually using psychic power through faith
They’ve changed some stuff in recent years and it’s not really clear how it works or what the rules are
Like just an example, they’re able to use faith stuff in the Pariah Nebula
True, faith is nothing more than a gestalt psychic manifestation, passive psychic manifestation compared to the active one that actual psykers does
It’s not though it seems
Which is the issue
It doesn’t have the same rules as warp stuff
Even Guilliman is sceptical about what is faith based and what is just psychic phenomena
Mostly due to recent lore on the Pariah Nebula
That is just bad writing by the authors that like to show how strong and OP the sob are, even in the setting it is stated to be exactly like witchcraft by custodes
GW seems to want to make it it’s own thing, so we’ll see how that all shapes up
I mean we don’t know, recent lore on it has explicitly called that into question
That’s my point, GW is changing how it works and what it is and for now we don’t really know
I think Lasgun have more armour denial so it might be for that (Armour Piercing)
Flak armor isn’t very good. It’s enough to keep the grunts alive a bit longer but no one cares about them anyway.
Can still be effective. In flesh and steel the main detective character prefers a solid slug handgun to a laspistol because it’s more effective at putting someone down and keeping them down.
Though he’s also rich and got himself the 40k equivalent of a desert eagle.
I mean, yes, i was stating this, the comment you answer though was about what would have a bigger stopping power between autogun or revolver, and unless we go over some specific pattern, revolver ammo isn't as big as autogun one
Psykers
Oh, revolvers still are within the stub guns category, they shoot bullets
Like, both semi auto pistols and revolver are stub guns
Really speaking auto weapons and stub weapons are intechangable unless you go with very nitpick details, like auto weapons should use caseless ammo, which isn't true in many examples the lore give, or that auto weapons are always full auto, which is again false...
Stub guns depend on mass of projectile, autoguns depend on speed or fire rate to achieve the kill, at least that’s my guess
Stub gun fans are believers in the “stopping power” trope, while autogun appreciators prefer the fire rate and range of a autogun
How’s that sound?
That would work if the admech didn’t have an obsession with high rate of fire stub weapons
We don’t talk about the macro stubber
I feel like it’s counterintuitive to choose a revolver as your weapon when there are plenty of other advanced weapons out there
Like if you’re an enforcer or a bounty hunter you really wanna be using a six shooter?
Reliability, size, concealability, and availability of parts in less industrially advanced areas
Would that make Ripper Gun Autogun or Stubber ?
Aren’t all autoguns stubbers
I guess
I have yet to see a caseless shotgun so stubber then
Yes, exactly
Shotguns can be classified as shotguns
Lasgun can't have specialist ammo
But are Shotgun part of Stubber or not ?
This is correct. However there are lasguns designed for specific purposes that use different sizes of power pack.
Well yes but it still is mostly limited to Lasguni stuff
It’s comparable to how FNV did ammo types
Sure you can do more damage with extra power, but can it knock people down with beanbags or set enemies on fire?
Meanwhile fallout lasers turning people into literal ash piles
That’s all they do though.
Pretty effective by itself if you ask me
A ash pile is nice, but can it keep a hostile still to be blown up with Gauss rifle or AMR?
Or to get blown up with atomic fire?
Anyhow, considering how in warhammer any weapon can be God given gun form by just slapping "archeotech" or "master crafted" on it or just more simply saying "oh its from forge world X and they make it so it can do Y and Z", any weapon discussion is kinda pointless
I mean, it can't
I like the headcanon/fantheory that lasguns have really potent machine spirits that want to make their wielder happy, and that's why lasguns are so inconsistent. They're literally behaving different based on what the Guardsman expects or wants.
Once the gun has a soul, all bets are off
