What the theory that it's Horus ?
Inb4 it's actually a random servitor given a giant skeleton and the thousand of Psykers are there to feed the astronomican and not the emperor
i think it's the key to one final fuck you to the warp tho honestly
Yea but since the star child and such aren't canon nowadays it doesn't really seem like the emperor is anywhere
or perhaps a way for the emperor to possess a grey knight, for them to speak with him
Oh God that would mean emperor kaldor draigo
?
Considering only the grand Master is supposed to open the terminus boz
God is TTS going to turn out to be canon?
also i hear that the golden throne is starting to fail?
Always has
mechanically speaking
Point stands
It's permanently stuck in the "it's kinda working but it's starting to crumble" like the rest of the universe
and i also hear it's starting to go beyond admech's capabilities to fix
shit this is giving me too much anxiety over a fictional universe
No worry, if there's one thing that will not happen ever is changing the status quo
Or well, doing it in any permanent way whatsoever
i've also heard that recent lore has Kaldor actually considering opening the terminus decree
I am braced for the final siege of terra novel to be crazy
due to cadia's fall
is that a thing?
Yeah
30k
Heresy finale
One day we'll get an End Times equivalent for 40k I'm sure
If gw wants another age of sigmar level shitstorm sure
not 30k i mean
end times
my bad
i think that it'd be neat if gw branched into possible futures
And they did get close to it with the primaris
not one absolute
I think end times was liked for lore but disliked for tabletop?
it'd be interesting to see a "what is the best possible ending"
End times for fantasy is strange
Lorewise it's a mix of fuck ups and great lore pieces
like, i think if the end of 40k is shown it shouldn't be an absolute
Eh doubt it its the last thing they are gonna use
Rule wise it got brought back due to fan backlash for aos if I remember correctly
I mean, they considered it like modern nations consider nuclear weapons in a conflict
I think if they do end times it should be a sort of "50k" kind of thing, so 40k still has lots of gaps to fill to stay alive
another cool theory i saw- the terminus decree is essentially mutually assured destruction- the power to channel every soul of humanity into the emperor and use his moment of true godhood to annihilate the warp
the chaos gods know what it is, and therefore know not to push humanity too hard
How does one anhialate the warp?
You don't
well, more of like
Wouldn't that be like, destroying sentience?
not warp itself, i mean
It would be destroying the concepts in wich the universe is based upon
the way i saw it described was that big e was the one thing the chaos gods fear, because only he can truly bring death to them, a concept otherwise completely alien
less of annihilating the warp and more of destroying the chaos gods' domains
Hitting the big reset button on the warp I guess? Basically starting the universe over
Now I'm thinking about Mass Effect and all its squandered opportunities
I mean, the Eldar do have to lay waste to slaneesh's realm if they want the final power ranger sword
what's an STC
The what?
it's something to do with a foundry?
its a Standard Template Construct, apparently all of them are damaged
¯_(ツ)_/¯
They wont use it until shit hit the fen Terra and the Fleet Solar still stands they would only use it when the fleet loses which is unlikely since its the biggest fleet ever
oh- they were semi intelligent ai cores housing the sum of human knowledge
Well im kinda lost when were these brought up?
was reading another theory
the theory was that the terminus was a path to an undamaged STC
Oh I see. Sounds like a sort of Noah's Ark type of thing for humanity
Pretty much anything and everything
SOme are libraries of templates, while other are single plans to make things
There is also a supposed global library that Tech Priest Explorator Delphan Gruss is searching for
The Omnicopaeia
Bless you
so i've just realized that I should really stop with this for now, my anxiety's been flaring up for the past like half hour and i just deduced that it's because of this conversation. tysm for the info and vibes but my brain's starting to take these fictional scenarios far too seriously
take care y'all
Lmao good night my friend
good night
Stc's are essencialy schematics and such to build stuff we can't build anymore, sometimes they are the stuff itself through
Yep, that was my point, it's the last of last resorts
Extremely valuable considering the older the better in 40k
A... Lot of times actually
Oh I meant in the current convo
Still waiting for the Admech to find the STC that makes Air Fryers
the Tau stole it
Damn blue xenos
Quick question.
I stare into a navigators eye, how quickly do I die?
The third one, of course
very quick
what's wrong with their third eye?
Nothing
Portal to the warp, make people very crazy and they die
damm, must be fun being the nurse bringing a navigator into this galaxy
Navigator are born with their 3rd eye mostly normal
And born in special families who do most inhouse
(Even Child making)
So if John Gaurdsman does it into the navigussy, you wouldnt get a triple eye baby?
I know, but I doubt a noble from the navigator houses would lower themselves so much that they'd play the role of nurse in child birth
no, am pretty sure. He'd likekly be killed by a very angry noble house
Still wonder why GW didn't play gears of war and decide to rip off the Lancer for a new bolter or autogun
?
They have inhouse servants
oh
Can't tell if irony but gw have had chainsaw bayonets decades before gears of war
There are also Ripper Saw which are similar iirc (Would love to see it as a ranged weapon for the Ogryn)
Like:
Primary: Melee attacks like the Grenadier attack
Secondary: Bracing (To shoot on Primary attack)
Special: Rev Chain saw
There's even a model with a chainsaw bayonet on a laspistol, though apparently that's just for medics.
Isn't there a tempestor prime model that has it? Or was it only on the book art?
Anyhow yeah, chain bayonets do exist
i wonder what kinda chain weapon ogryn could get. is there even anything big enough for him?
Besides taping two of the big chainswords together
In theory there could be chain weapon (Other than the Ripper Saw) but we haven't got any showcase of it (Lore/Mni)
what if, hear me out, drill gauntlet
I mean does he realy need one
like the ones the space marine medics have, just without the medicae/whateverthefuckspacemarinesusetoheal
A huge fucking drill right in da wound
takin' yer blud for da empra'
Unrelated, but now that I'm looking at it the lucius lasgun is pretty fucking similar to the kalibrax lasrifle, and the fact it doesn't use the kalibrax power packs anymore but standard lasguns one could be the reason why it's supposed to shoot less, but harder
https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Narthecium
And not really needed
Do not fail your Brothers. Though their bodies may die, their spirit must return to the Chapter. That is your charge. In Nostra Manus - Progenies Futura. Apothecary Credo A Narthecium is a tool of a Space Marine Apothecary's trade, containing implements specially designed for treating the Astartes' genetically-engineered physiology and for perfo...
But I would like a Gauntlet kit for unarmed combat
Yes, but they are in the style of the same thing just a bit higher
Closest would be the breachers hatchcutter
Considering they are the only multi-tool with integrated chain weapons
So why are Cataphractii Pattern Terminator Armour so goddamn sexy
Because all 30k armors are better looking
Yes sir
Even if I must say I really like primaris armor with the exception of edgy skull masks
Skull masks? I only know Chaplains to wear them
Primaris have units that have only lower face skull masks and act as inflintration units and such
These guys
Yeah, I just don't like the masks
Meanwhile I absolutely love Inceptors
How can you hate the assault marine with tank armor and assault skii's
Inceptors are great, very good on the table as well
They are the only true improvement to standard marines tactics wise imo
And aggressors wich are well, centurions but without the centurion mobility problem
Wearing just a half mask is weird anyway
Luv me gravis marines
Buying some decal sheets for my next kit, are the only special mark on the blood ravens their chapter emblem itself? Everything else can just be swapped with standard marine stuff?
They do have full helmets actually if you look at the image I sent, its just the fact it HAS to have a skull on the lower half that bothers me to no end for no reason
Yep
Sadly blood ravens don't get much unique shit chapter wise considering they are too busy being a meme about stealing stuff from other imperials
They are dope as hell
I mean, who else can be mistaken for A Stray Warhead or falling debris from space battles when dropping into a mission
I fell in love with them in Battlesector absolute elite unit
are the tau more culturally advanced than the imperium?
depends.
Imperium is made up by a million worlds, each are different
Do you consider a mandated caste system more advanced that a totalitarian theocracy?
Yes.
there would be some democratic worlds under Imperium's banner, since Imperium usually doesn't care how a world is managed
in theory
Wait Slaanesh?
👀
@rose gyro ehh it's possible but I can't think of any good examples.
something monarchical is a bit more common at least but wouldn't call that too advanced
god damn it why are you guys so tame i wanted to start a war here
Lol
🫡
Because we often than not see the sh#tholes of the Imperium
because there are none in lore
Yeah but Tau suck ass
Tau is unimportant
exactly
Tanith
it is an ant on giants' battlefield
Isn't Elysian kinda nice ? And Vostroya if you're not a 1st born iirc
@barren tapir never heard of it
they sound kinda meh. no?
eh, in the 40k world it's not that bad
Macragge is a wonderful place
Smurf
basically Rome in space
based
and there are the Pleasure Worlds
Slaanesh on form
some, but not all
Of cause Slaanesh would mention Pleasure worlds
Elysia was a nice place, regarding the world, it was a civilised world with relative peace, to the point that their regiments were made up by volunteers only
And those regiments had various training places around the system too
it is quite possible that 99% of the Imperium's worlds are rather peaceful
Eh
depends what you count peaceful
Are we a peaceful world ?
hell nah
no ongoing invasion or incursion? sure, peaceful
not eaten by Daemons Heretics or Xenos
were far from peaceful
Then I'd say we must have a lot of peaceful world
but those worlds are unlikely become the center of the stage
but tbf i doubt that 99% of the imperiums worlds are peaceful since you know there are a giant amount of different species of xenos who like to breed and such
we are heaven on earth in 40K's standard
but don't satisfied on standard THAT low
and from the lore that ive gathered (basically dont have any legs to stand on here) xenos are not very liked by the imperium
If we dont count the GSC or Chaos Cults, Corrupt officals of the world etc.
that's something that the Great Crusade has done for 40K
Xeno species were not that many now
i count the corrupted in any shape or form as xenos as well
the intelligent ones at least
There are hundreds of xenos still around, it is just GW don't talk about them
since you know greed and such is basically a gateway
and not very important storywise
Depend on the scope, galaxy wise? Not so much... Sector wide? Way more
maybe a few in RPG Rule books
and i dont really think that 40 thousand years is that much for extermination of every other race in multiple galaxies across the vast voids of space as well as the corrupted
Although they are stated to be widespread they are not at the same level of other xenos, mostly orks and nids
don't need 40K years
the Great Crusade is about 100+ years
and basically wiped out nearly all known Xeno Empires
Doesn’t mean more haven’t risen
The galaxy is a big place. I doubt even in 100+ the imperium wiped out every xenos race
of course not, only the dangerous clusters
there are still countless xeno races
across the quadrillions of lightyears of space i think thats a pretty short crusade since xenos rise fall adapt rise and constantly multiply
Somehow we conquered a million worlds
and before everything, there was the War in Heaven
Necrons simply did a little trolling
we did but most of them are in struggle from either corruption from within or xenos
Xenos is Xenos and we cant accept they existents in our Galaxy
Purge the unclean
Eldar are finnnnnne
Eldar are mortal enemies
They are a dying species anyway just a question of time
Drukhari are doing great
you can't find a better playground than 40K
In the face of the heat death of the universe, even the Necron are a dying species
Elysia still has noble houses pulling shit
and Chaos pirates, some of them backed by outcasts from said noble houses
Krieg is a good place
you don't find any traitors or xenos there
and everyone is devoted to the Emperor
We dont talk about da Krieg here 👀
I didn't know regular people could use bolters
I thought only the astartes could
And the sisters of battle ofcourse
wow these guys are assholes

they destroy the galaxy then still have an ego
literally every 40k faction in existence has that yes

but like
Well for one the craftworld eldar weren’t responsible for the birth of slaanesh
they were responsible for the eye of terror
So
and the birth of the slanesh
They werent
The craftworlds were the doomsday preppers that left before the Eye opened
got vored
died lmao
so the birth of that eye of terror is because the warp became too chaotic and bursted?
right?
like too full of emotions?
then they just left essentially?
Most of the craftworld eldar left the moment eldar society decided torturing people was fun
And flaying people alive slowly is a occasion for a party
The Warp was always unstable
the eldar were just the biggest psychic race in existence at the time and as said above went full hellraiser thus giving birth to slaanesh
sheesh
her birth-scream was so strong that it also blew away half the warp-storms in the galaxy
giving the Emperor the way to go start his jihad from terra
I MEAN
Great Crusade™️
All chaos gods are genderless
Eldar call slaanesh she who thirst
Chaos followers call them the dark prince of pleasure
Ect.
ah makes sense
For example on Lorgars homeworld
Both Tzeentch and Nurgle were worshiped as female
TLDR the chaos gods are whatever you want them to be for worship
I need more dreadnoughts
how is this female
makes sense but just abit odd how some races percieve it
That thing has no gender it's just disease
i know theres gonna be atleast a few people checking for r34 female nurgle pics now
The imperium being more tolerating religiously then irl counties always gets me
As long as the emperor is the main focus
Your region is fine kekw
Even if the emperor has a bunch of tentacles
And a fish head
the perfect thing with that is:
Or is the sun
it kinda annoys me that they throw their life away for some rotting corpse on a throne smh
who never talks
Be based, go worship chaos
i mean. irl people throw their lives away for a sky daddy they cant even see lol
let alone hear
i mean ur right but like in this context in 40k universe humans are dying
it serves no purpose to follow a dying god
The chaos worshiper says the emperor is dead but I see him in the sky for he is the glorious sun

lol
TLDR the imperium is weird
only god worth following is nurgle

Well in my culture, the Emperor has four arms and I'm so glad the Imperium is open to our unique differences 🙂
off topic also what is this suppose to be
what is connected to that?
the hivemind giant EYe?
*eye
Looks more like a mouth of a creature
that is the nids yet to enter the galaxy
Yeah thats just the Hive Fleets
Representation of the different Hive Fleets
read the story yesterday orks vs tyranids, imo its a 50/50
both cant kill eachother
imo tho
Nids can more or less win with right tactics
they fight orks on a literal microscopic level
Octarius War, think the Tyr won in the end right ?
yeah
In the most part the best enemy for the Tyr are the Necron
the orks literally ran out of ammo iirc lol
lol wtf
so many bugs
they are basically playing an RTS game
the only greater good is the hivemind
repeat ad Infinium until win or dead
They started making bullets out of nid bits lmao
lmao

thats so stupid but funny
thats something orks would do lol
they were more or less having fun but also literally running out of everything
the entire planet was covered in fucking bugs
they are orks
okay to be fair
orks are easy to scare
the moment you kill their bosses they panic
if i was an ork that would sound like alot of fun to me
who do orks actually get scared by like what races?
honestly a lot of things
humans are like the only things that they arent scared by i think
orks are only scared of a world where they cant bash something
Orks don't really get "scared", but they can definitely panic sometimes
Once a big, tough guy shows up and takes control they calm down
the tougher ones wont get intimidated but smaller ones like any boyz get oofed a lot
also yeah this
its when the bosses bite the dust they go "OH FUCK"
as long as they got a proper command chain its mostly fine
they got literal sheep herd mentality
imo necrons>tyranids>humans>orks>tau empire
necrons=orks>everything else
but idk where elders place idk their tech
necron tech is like
literally setting-breaking
lmao
They got snipers that can kill you anywhere by stepping out of pocket dimensions
so you know
well that and their main infantry weapons melt tanks
Hey what was that guard regiment that was completely under control of the inquisition?
Which one ? The Inqui has plenty of regiments that are attached to a Inquisitor
I did like the bit in one of the Ventris books where their sniper counters a Deathmark by firing at it before it appears
Because he realized it was picking the best sniping positions and he just fired at the one he would have chosen
I believe uhhh,, karamazov
I don’t think there’s a specific regiment
I don't think he had a regiment tied to him
But some Inquisitors requisition whole regiments
Just the regular Inquisition Troops
Oooo okay!
Is any of them actually interesting or are they all just the exact same as a normal regiment
It Depends™️
its so fucking funny how many space marine chapters that are just 'they fight in a never ending war roaming the galaxy!!!!!' and that being thier entire personality
Okay thanks for the bit of lore
Now I know lmao
In majority they are like the Cadian, most are somewhat basic
to be fair a lot of the space marine chapters are just fillers from a lore-writer perspective, they dont need to have personality, just a name and a one-liner is enough
my head canon is also that theres alot more SM chapters than just 1000 ... even more so after the ultima founding
we (as the readers/audience) just dont know about them
yeah like
literally every Successor Chapter that got wiped out in the Devastation of Baal for example
was made up for the fucking book
lmao
because GW has no balls
Nah fuck the Chaos Gods just fight the imperium without getting weird demons in ya
nah fuck both chaos and the imperium, worship the dragon of mars and the c'tan
Praise the Omnissiah
I love the Story of it
Good luck mate
One of them exist pre detestation lul
But they got mentioned off handidly in the story with bile and the BA
This gif is canon, btw.
You have to remember, Cadia was the place to go to if you wanted competent soldiers with minimal defects for role
Yes, but they are like the Ultramarines
The standard one the other regiments are made unique against
I didn't mean it as standard like strenght/quality but rather style
Granted in my opinion it’s more likely that Cadian pattern stuffs tends to be given as generic standardized military material which leads to the appearance of large numbers of what appear to be Cadians but are in fact recieved from different worlds
That’s literally canon
There’s tons of regiments using cadian styled gear
Because they’re famous and their gear is relatively cheap
And multi purposed
Easily colorable and customizable
I can see what you mean
The way I see it, a way you could make it interesting is that Cadian patterns are default, but if you need a specialized pattern, other variants are available if already produced.
At least with lasguns
Do we know what a Psykana Mercy Blade look like ? Cause I would lose to see it as either a weapon or a skin for the Dagger
My apologies if I don’t sound coherent, I didn’t get any sleep and just got off work
Eh, It's fine
Have some more knock off cadians
There’s like 5 or 6 regiments that have some lore
That are knock off Cadians
Don't the Inquisitorial Troops usually use Cadian stuff too ?
What I mean by this is for example a mechanized regiment might use a Voss pattern lasgun
That’s sometimes up armored with bits of carapace armor
I personally would go with the MACVSOG route.
Aka: ALL. THE. AMMO.
Pretty much every one of the big regiments has a knock off version of them
Except for the dkok
Who started as knock off steel legion
Vallhallans, the vostroyans, the brit’ish ones I can’t remember.
Valhallans have one
I forgor their name
And the praetorians were never a major regiment
In any of the codexes
Unfortunately
Vostroya has a high Admech influence so they make their Lasgun themselves and they are of higher quality
And no we don’t know what they look like
So Fatshark could go wild
Would like to remember everyone that there is no cadian pattern gear, the cadians used the most common pattern for armour and their lasguns are kantrael pattern
And no, nearly all other main regiments have their unique gear
If the world had a martial tradition it will be kept that, if the world lacked any form of martial tradition then the imperium would slap on them the cadian pattern for regiment hoping in a good result
Basically what I was trying to say.
Got your back covered mate
But you should also rest, or sleep
Part of the idea is how the idea of “military aid packages ” work IRL. One country gives another surplus material, which leads to things like Lithuania, a Baltic state, for example having using m14’s as dmr’s and sniper rifles despite being rather far from their manufacturer.
Or why every Ukrainian quartermaster or repairman is going to be on suicide watch at the end of the war with all the various materials there at this point
Ukraines army is gona look like they broke into a Cold War stockpile + every nato nations bases and grabbed some stuff
Hell ye
If I get resources and social skills, let’s just say certain parts of equipment might come to find new shores to float to
Once the war ends
But that’s a dream unlikely
Oh hey has anyone read the new guard codex?
Damn, this sound like me
What about it?
Is there any mention of brood brothers In it?
I don’t think so. I don’t remember any specific mentions of a gsc.
They’re mentioned in the gsc codex obv.
I don't really see why the IG codex would talk about the Brood brothers
The Brood Brother Guardsmen get mentioned in the GSC codex with all the stats needed
In the 8th edition codex where the lore is expanded on more there are mentions of a few traitor regiments.
I don’t remember if it had gsc in it either.
It’s usually like “when this regiment or planet turned traitor this regiment or those regiments worked together and punished them.”
Do you think GW deliberately avoids talking about the Emperor's Shadows out of fear that it'd make the universe "too anime"?
No
Emperor’s shadows barely matter in the grand scheme of things and they were a white dwarf employers custom marines
TLDR they’ll get as much lore as any other minor successor
Which is near 0p
Given their Japanese thematics, I think they would most likely specialize in fighting with Centurions, possibly having Chapter specific Tactical, Librarian, and/or Command variants
Eh don’t see any reason why they’d have different unique line troops
Despite the samurai theming
Can see different veteran varients
But eh
Them having unique Centurions would have them lean more heavily on an anime mecha shtick. I know the Tau Empire exists, but we all know that the meat of the action in most mecha anime is the liberal usage of melee weapons, from the Zaku heat hawk, to the Federation Beam sabers, to Post-Disaster Gundam frames using physical weapons like clubs and actual swords
Okay but they’re still literal space marines part of the imperium
Their gear prolly still resembles most other chapters
Most chapters that aren’t successors of the BA, SW or DA don’t have a ton of super unique things
Aside from “unique” honor guard
And such
Fair. Still, I wanna think that a Librarian Centurion would be pretty sweet just cuz it'll most likely be "Zeong but 40K"
Their Chaplain has a literal oni mask
It's not too horrible tbh
what planet is that?
The pauldrons with katakana is a bit weird
Fervius
Mantis Warriors are the canonical weeb chapter
Samurai space Marines. Think they are green and yellow
Yeah
That’s a normal power sword
From the captain kit in the command squad

Or rather it’s the “relic blade”
Because space marine captains don’t get normal power swords
Unless you’re the deathwing strikemaster
Or a death watch watch captain
Then you get a master crafted power sword
And if you’re wondering what the difference in the tabletop there is the answer is there is no difference because marine rules are bloated as fuck
Hell even normal marines power swords, if they get one, are way better than most everyone else’s options
Yeah
But why the fuck is the relic blade it’s own data sheet
From a master crafted power sword
Cause it’s old and good as opposed to made good
But like
Or some shit
They don’t need a separate data sheet
They literally look almost the exact same
Visually
Clearly you aren’t forklift certified
Also the vanguard vet gets it for some reason
Idfk
But the company champion doesn’t
I mean yeah
From older rules
But the marines got a codex for 9e
And a way for players to make special blades maybe I guess
Like a distinction between the two, idk
GW works in mysterious ways
Unsure why you pinged me for that
Because you said the power sword was a katana
It’s just a basic bitch powersword from a normal kit
And that means it fits the imperiums asthetic
I will still be forever surprised by how there isn’t a Samurai chapter
The fact that there’s a space mongol chapter but not a samurai one just makes it more surprising
Ebon Keshig in HH were vaguely samurai themed
And even if GW did straight up make a samurai themed chapter
I just want power katanas ok
Fucks sake people complained about the new possessed lol
And the new Cadians
And the new kasrkin
I think this discord thread alone is proof that you can never make people happy
Literally any new lore, always a complaint
lmao
Fucks sake people bitched about the new daemon prince mini
LOOK AT EM
it has 5 dif alternate heads
wtf is there to bitch about he looks awesome?
....
💀
Also another thing
yeah nah they are just bitching to bitch
Someone said 3e marines have more personality then primaris
The only quibble is like the magazine I guess?
They definitely had better resting constipation face
what did the 3e look like?
This
Lmao
They had only this one pose
I can get saying the late 7e and 6e marines had more personality
oh yeah. back when 40k minis looks like junky kids toys
But Elite
Then this
Their standard pose and copy and pasted look let’s you uh
Project what you want on them
Put a bunch of them in formation
lol
Also it was easier to hide all my dudes behind cover
In that you could pose them all the exact same because that was the only pose
I said the pauldrons have katakana on them
That's Japanese writing you genius
Not katana
Katakana
What’s worse, being right, or being a weeb
I lived in Japan for four years
I'm already fucked in one of those regards
Might as well have both
Based
Hey, as long as you aren’t a tau fanboy I’ll take it
Kinda do
Eh
Pose wise no
I like the “modern” Tacticals
But not the old ones
They’re goofy
Ints basically are clones at least 3e had missiles n flamers
Eh
Ints look better as units
Pose wise
The 3e marines all had the same pose
The weapon across the chest
Or for heavy weapons over the shoulder
Or just late 3e marines
Look better then the really old ones
4e and late 3e are when marines became the marines I like pose wise
Blood Raven
They aren’t gypsies prince of pleasure, that’s Romania.
Anyways another example of military aid is Israel
The main reason that there’s a lack of m16a1 parts kits on the US market is Israel happens to have a significant amount of them as well as m4’s and colt 653’s
Also for anyone wanting to collect surplus, I wouldn’t recommend Israel for gun’s to be reliable. They shoot the piss out of them
Or build your own.
I’m saying more so “I want to collect surplus” kinda thing
Ah.
Because they have some nice guns like Hungarian highpowers or cz75’s. But the condition they tend to be in is just awful.
From overuse?
Police surp, so quite definitely.
Ah.
def. 3rd ed space marines are the most op/hard core
also the back banners really are notably absent from Primaris
sure they're not for everyone but they'd do a lot to break up the unit profile
Better pic
In my opinion water colors work best for warhammer art, as it can have a almost abstract feeling to some cases.
John Blanche’s work in my opinion kinda gets the feel down
Hope? Long gone, a empire wrought with suffering and strife.
Progress? A laughably foolish blunder that will cause worse strife.
For you see, there is no reason in this millenia, only slaughter and the laughter of thirsting gods.
And goddamn, do these creations show that vibe
wait why do people say that lorgar is bad and poorly written? I’ve listened to the first heretic and he is amazing
I haven’t read his book lorgar yet tho
<3 beloved lorgar
The First Heretic is just a really good book
The thing is, even when Lorgar is written well, he's still a prick and a dingus
I 100% get what he was going thoguh, I sympathize the fuck out of lorgar.
Your life’s purpose and work is thrown away by someone you trusted because it wasn’t how they wanted it. So you turn your passion to obsession and abuse.
"The God is real, and He hates us"
Mood
Funnily I don’t like religion, but I love the word bearers
interestingly, the same words are used again in Black Legion
"The Gods are real, and they hate us"
And I legit trust everything lorgar says
I haven’t actually read black legion yet
Like, he believes in what he preaches lmao
Which is a lot more then you can say for uhhh
Everyone else in 40k
100%
yet he failed to pass the test
The test he was going to fail no matter what
Because it was rigged against him every step of the way
some Loyalists within the Word Bearers believe that the Emperor is testing them
then Lorgar and most of the legion failed
BTW, here's an odd question.
and that's the very point of a test
they want you to fail, at least, most of you
only the true faithful can pass
With the emperor’s test, the only way to actually pass wasn’t to take it in the first place
I will admit, WB did fuck all during the great crusade
say, I like Leman Russ' opinion in this matter
||So I have been told that Angron apparently can't be banished anymore. Is it the same case for his daemon brothers?||
But the planets they did take over are still loyal to thsi day
"If He isn't a God, then He isn't"
"If He is a God, are you really want to argue with Him?!"
Context?
I think it came from a talk between Russ and another Primarch
Ah
though I don't remember where it came from
I actually don’t get why most of the primarchs hated lorgar lmao
since Russ came from a world with religion himself
he IS a dixk
Yah but him and magnus get along really well
And uhHhHHH
Fulgrim! Lorgar actually liked fulgrim
Both pre and post heresy
nope
Fulgrim tastes Lorgar's blood in Slaves to Darkness
basically betraying Lorgar by siding with Horus'
Oh
Damn but yeah the chaos gods did lorgar dirty
And kinda just forgor about him and his sons
Did they even attend the siege of Terra?
Ah
||and got their arses kicked||
Ah
||Didn't Perty leave the siege?||
Yes.
Yeah
the only Traitor Primarch who's actually doing something
I did like when the WBs during the 13th crusade went to offer people salvation with chaos. ||and then gunned down anyone who refused||
before he yeeted
||So has he gone off to create his eternal fortress then?||
no idea, that's after the Heresy
and there is this "Iron Cage" thing
but with all regards, Fulgrim is the best Traitor Primarch
Hell, maybe when they get to writing that part of the 30k history out, we'll see what daemon Primarch Perturabo looks like.
well, Warsmith Honsou met him in 40K
YEAAAAA
I like lorgar barely slightly more
What's the lore behind Mortis Operative gear? Is it mortis like chaos? Or just a unique "edgy skin just for darktide"
Perturabo didn't change much it seems
Huh.
uhhhhhhh
they did a LOT
Like their censure was because they slowed down to convert worlds
then post-censure they speedran conquest
Ah fair
mortis is "kill"
mortis means death
True, but I wanted to know more about the operation that the morti operati participate in
(if there even was lore)-- are we to assume that the "top secret" organization is a deathsquad? Maybe there's no answer, was just looking for more info. Thanks all!
do you mean "Kill Team"?
it was just a squad in a tactical mission
Remember, part of the secret with understanding warhammer names is try and take pop culture Latin and insert it in your naming
Or using ancient words out of left field.
Any new arcade games added to the Palace of Slaanesh?
Been a while since I gamed there
they do, though none should be mentioning here XD
I'm coming to play le arcade :D!
I’m new to the 40K community where should i start lore wise
For like a general overview of the universe I’d recommend the 8th edition rule book
And sail the 7 seas for it
A rule book?
It’s got lore in it
A lot of it
It’s where all important 40k lore is
In rule books
Okay
This isn’t even a joke I’m being dead serious
Oh i know
i’m researching into it right now
Dark tides my first game.
there’s so many different “8th editions.”
do you have a link
Do you have a link to the actual book?
It’s got a summary of every faction
I’ll probably buy it
Unless you wana go hunting on eBay no
Since it’s 9th edition now
But the 9th edition rule book isn’t bad for lore
The 8th edition just goes in-depth on more dtuff
I’m watching some videos on it right now
I appreciate the help
@arctic talon Quick question.
So i understand people are very religious towards the God Emperor of mankind, but is it actually like a touching form of religion?
like actual protection from prayers
Yesnt sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t
Faith can manifest
But it isn’t omnipresent
Is the god emperor a fraud?
No
i’ve heard he’s dying or decaying
He doesn’t claim to be a god
And his physical form is decaying
His mental state is also really fucked up
Is he a human? what is he
But he’s the strongest human psyker alive
Or rather “human”
He’s human but
With incredibly powerful psychic powers and immortality
isn’t it like hell
Sorta?
one of his sons injured him right
And no one knows how to fix it
after being like
Yeah Horus messed him up
So humans are fucked
Yep
Couldn’t they technically use the warp to go to a different timeline
Time travel isn't consistant in 40k
when it occurs its almost always an accident
exceptions being Necrons
The real abbadon
me when I find a funny joke on 1d4chan(its been dead for almost 6 years)
Just like krieg shovel meme
Beautiful
Honestly only repeat joke i found annoying is the gas mask noises meme
I find it amusing. The Abaddon one. Because that means Abaddon blew up Cadia and looked at the Chaos gods and was like "LOOK MOM! DAD! GRANDPA! GRANDMA! I DID IT WITH NO HANDS!" like a small child would.
The warhammer community tends to beat the dead horse joke a lot lmao
also, I am Alpharius
Its incredible how every community will beat up a dead horse. Elder Scrolls has the farm tools for Argonians, amongus has literally just the word amogus, 40k has the only entertaining joke that will go on for centuries: I am Alpharius, etc etc
Idk how anyone can deal with the Alpha Legion pulling that shit over and over
Let’s not forget Trayzn the Infinite
Well targets that he nicks vary thankfully
Its Palm tree head!
My boy carried the Siege until Mortarion became the leader of the siege for some reason and he just said "aight im out"
"Who's the best boi?"
"Who's doing the most in the siege?"
"Who shall lead the Warmaster's army in the field?"
"It's Mortarion!"
Peter Turbo might be a thin-skinned bitch but at least he knows how to do shit
at this point of the siege, the Traitors has no Primarchs left on Terra
Horus is the only one the have left
||He died.||
||The Great Angel tore his spine out||
in Echoes of Eternity
That shit must've hurted
||oh yes, Angron died in the most agonized way possible||
God damn, you are right though it's only Horus everyone else is gone or dead
Yeah he had a nice meeting with Grey Knights
Proto grey knights and what not
well it was due to Khan at this point
Oh right Siege of terra sry
who broke his heart
the Siege has broken basically the backs of both sides at this stage
while the loyalists got pushed back into the heart of Imperial Palace, the traitors lost all their Primarchs on the ground and the buck of their forces
Well it could've ended a bit different if it wasnt for Horus
@rose gyro Fulgrim is on Terra but he is not actively engaged in the Siege.
he was taken off from the chessboard while the Emperor's Children has being decimated
but you are right, there is nothing about his whereabouts
since Dorn no longer worried about him, I assumed Fulgrim has left Terra
he just buggered off to destroy some hives on terra
All we know is that he just wants to pursue pleasure doing whatever.
That may include mutilating victims in various ways that it's artistic
What about Omegon?
he wasn't present on Terra
But the Alpha Legion are on Terra, right?
could be, as spies
but not as a legion or doing anything important
Is there Valkia in 40k ? And if so does she have the same lore ?
No.
Valkia is purely a Fantasy character
we do have N'Kari though
who is Fulgrim's lover
nope, that's Azazel
Then N'kari is the named Greater Daemon
So many names
Which is more comparable to Skarbrand
Considering scab gunners use some kind of hellgun, would it be safe to compare them to be tempestus equivalent?
Yeah based on a tempestus Scion with hotshot volleygun
Not all stormtrooper are Scions though
They are like the Moebian Karskin/Grenadier...
They might be the in regiment equivalent to scions yes
Exactly like the kasrkin are for cadian regiments and the grenadiers are for krieg regiments... Or like the storm troopers are for steel legion regiments
Hotshot lasguns aren't exclusive to scions though
They're just equipment for more elite units
Has there been a case where a kriegsman has been made into a servitor?
They dont live long enough to consider it
Omegon is dead. He was the one killed by Dorn. They switched places when they got reunited for the first time
no, but they are cases where they were turned into Corpse-starch
Iirc, N'Kari is currently banished in 40k - the Grey Knights 5th edition codex has a section where they pwn N'Kari. Also N'Kari doesn't have an actual model, but other Keepers of Secrets do, like Shallaxi Hellbane (a full plastic model as part of the Keeper of Secrets plastic kit) and Zaraknyel has a resin model from Forge World
so N'Kari I think features more in Warhammer fantasy than 40k for the most part
doesn't mean N'Kari can't come back at all though in 40k of course

I am hoping for a Kugath model after seeing him in Total War
a GUO on a Palanquin is the tits
Yes but no. Calling either Alpharius or Omegon is basically an exercise in frustration.
It's easier to label them as the loyal brother and the traitor brother.
Dorn killed the traitor. Even tho the Traitor did not think he was really a traitor. Since he saw himself as fighting towards the Emperor's ultimate goal. It's just he misunderstood what the emperor's goals are
Oooooooohhhhhh shit... Didn't saw this name in eons
I guess this might be silly to some, however I’ve realized that the “Krieger” skin for the veteran is actually an Armageddon Steel Legion skin. So like anytime I see someone wearing the set, wielding a lucius pattern and a shovel, I remind myself of Helsreach and how the Steel Legion is superior to the boring ass Krieg in every way
There is no krieger skin
It has always been steel legion
And everyone was aware of it
Minus the ignorant of course
Uhhh yeah no I have to respectfully disagree. Half the time I see the set in game it’s an rper role playing Krieg. Which is fine of course, however it is annoying
It doesn't matter if you disagree, it is not a krieger skin
They are part of the ignorant
Reality doesn't care about opinions
I’m aware it’s not Krieg. Read my message please. I don’t intend for that to sound rude btw
Yeah, i read you, i got that you know it is not krieger
Yes. And it was an observation my mans. That’s all lol
Correct
If they wanted to roleplay as a Krieger. They wouldn't use a shovel because the Death Korp of Krieg don't do that
One thing I don’t get is why their outfits look so old fashioned for the 41st century lol
Or the 41st millennium
If we wanted some fun, have different styles of armor have different benifits
There are Feudal worlds in 40k
Have it be like the original insurgency game
I guess I just think of the year 40,000 and think of super high tech everything
we saw N'Kari in Slaves to Darkness
who is doing "something" with Fulgrim
No armor, flak armor, carapace armor. Each more armored than the last, and thus slower.
Krieg actually uses a different helmet
Would lead to some cosmetic being optimal/meta which is a tad annoying
a hybrid between French and German ones
