spark relic
#

Come on people, write some names

last lagoon
#

Mordian Iron Guard

spark relic
#

the Mordians are a great pick

last lagoon
#

Uuuuh chem dogs

#

I forgot their full name

spark relic
#

Constantly fighting battles they should have no right to win

#

Salvar chem dogs I think

last lagoon
#

Yeah

wind canyon
#

~~ Tanith First ~~ Gaunt’s Ghosts

spark relic
#

*Savlar, that's how you spell it mb

last lagoon
#

Armageddon Steel Legion since they are taking the full force of chaos and orks with support of sisters of battle and some marines

crisp heath
#

well

#

the person

#

is a sister.

spark relic
#

Well for helvete's sake now I don't understand why the power level is such a big deal

frank smelt
#

Do you think space marines buy a space dodge charger at 35%API after theyve finished basic?

crisp heath
#

nah

#

space marines totally are the type to buy a minivan

last lagoon
#

Nah they have to get a gf they believe isnt cheating on them with his best friend but obviously thats impossible

last lagoon
#

Generally sisters are shown to not think highly of marines

crisp heath
#

yes.

frank smelt
spark relic
#

Sisters see marines as fellow warriors of the Emperor most of the time, some see them as embodiments of the Emperor but that is rare

#

They treat marines like equals

#

Well, almost equals

crisp heath
#

Eh.

#

if only they were skill wise or power wise.

#

i had a long ass argument with a dude earlier today

#

who was saying a slug round could pierce sister armor 🗿

last lagoon
#

Some depictions have sisters going far with thinking marines are mutants

spark relic
#

Sisters kill chaos marines on the daily the power level really isn't that large on a battlefield

crisp heath
spark relic
crisp heath
#

a slug pistol

spark relic
#

lies

dense path
crisp heath
#

usually, anyway

#

sometimes the marine is an idiot

spark relic
#

Yeah but they can still win

crisp heath
#

and charges at the loaded melta.

#

and proceed to be annihilated from this dimension

#

as is expected from melta enjoyers

spark relic
#

People really love overestimating marines

#

They can get dunked on in close quarters by regular guard

crisp heath
#

Say, how to say

#

make them op.

spark relic
#

Make money

crisp heath
#

Like the one time an ultramarine

celest dome
dense path
#

authers decide who wins usually

crisp heath
#

survived re-entry

#

I wish i was kidding.

celest dome
dense path
#

but if two names characters went at each other, it's fairly reasonable to expect the marine to come out on top

crisp heath
#

everyone says this to me

#

and it really is just.. hard to work with

#

sure, i have power over everything in the story

#

but not with the lore

#

if i stray too far, can i say im writing 40k?

#

or am i just writing my own weird mess?

dense path
#

like, if they had a book that had a sororitas protag, the enemy marines would be dying left and right, but if it was a deathguard book, the sisters would get bodied

spark relic
#

Authors usually have writing teams with them for larger projects so they don't make the decisions entirely on their own

crisp heath
#

if only any of the sororitas books were good

#

also im still salty about a single space marine

#

kharn

spark relic
crisp heath
#

this motherfucker one shot both celestine and krole.

#

oh uh.. probably should have spoilered that but like, six year old book so.. meh

spark relic
#

Yeah but Kharn is literally immortal so he can't really be counted

#

He fought Abbadon the Despoiler to a standstill

crisp heath
#

so did celestine

spark relic
#

Literally never happened before

crisp heath
#

actually celestine was winning that duel

spark relic
dense path
#

i like the sororitas over the marines because at there core they are just really enthusiastic nuns in armour, like bit more capable than most guard but not nearly on par with marines

spark relic
#

She can die and come back

#

Kharn can't die

crisp heath
#

he can

#

he just comes back

spark relic
#

It's a small difference

crisp heath
#

literally immediaely

#

its like kratos

#

he just crawls out of hell

spark relic
dense path
#

there is that story where a sister had more resistance to corruption than an ultramarine, dunno what it was

#

named*

crisp heath
#

But yeah- just a weird thing to work with

#

because i dont want to make my main character inferior, if that makes sense.

#

which is basically what any person non-marine is when a marine shows up on their side.

spark relic
#

Make the marine less important in the main story

crisp heath
#

he isnt even important

#

just he could do literally

#

anything my sister could

spark relic
#

Send them to fight something and then focus on the sister

crisp heath
#

without breaking a sweat

#

he could literally do her entire story arch

#

in a matter of.. probably an hour?

spark relic
#

So why is he even there

crisp heath
#

and itd just be tuesday for him

spark relic
#

Just don't include a marine

crisp heath
#

due to being relatively close to their area.

#

sorry, not iron fists

#

thats an iron hands chapter

#

🤮

#

(no offense iron hands fans)

#

Imperial Fits.

#

Fists*

#

its kinda a thing where

#

its expected for them to be there

dense path
#

the lamentors are criminally under represented

crisp heath
#

I would do that

spark relic
#

Iron Fists don't have a confirmed primogenitor chapter, it's just assumed it's Iron Hands

crisp heath
#

but theres black legion stuff going on in the background

#

And uh

#

Black Rage is a bit too high for my paygrade

spark relic
crisp heath
#

also

#

there is canonically

#

less than 200 of them

dense path
#

the lamentors are a very unique chapter in that respect

crisp heath
#

but yes- i might just not write them being there but it feels like suicide then.

celest dome
#

Can someone tell me where we have Ogryn women in the IG ? Apart from Cassia ?

crisp heath
#

like, no one seems to care about anything besides marines.

spark relic
#

Lamenters were also the only chapter who didn't have to come to Baal's aid during the tyranid invasion cause there were barely any of them left

crisp heath
dense path
#

i actually prefer guard stories tbh

crisp heath
#

then one

#

implies theres woman all over

#

we just dont see them

spark relic
#

I prefer anything not focused on marines

dense path
crisp heath
#

tbf

#

we are in a darktide server

#

and your a gigachad WHF fan.

#

/AoS, which is also Chad (kill me)

spark relic
#

I like both Fantasy and AoS (don't kill me)

#

Because Nagash is featured in both

crisp heath
#

Based

spark relic
#

Which means it's good

crisp heath
#

personally i like nagash's heirs more than nagash himself

#

because uh.. certain actions he did

#

that are triggers for me irl

#

due to irl stuff that happened.

#

Ill just say his brothers wife.

spark relic
#

No need to specify

#

He is a horrible bastard

crisp heath
#

besides that

#

pretty rad necromancer.

spark relic
#

But he's also a funny little skelly man

crisp heath
#

so is

#

hit character

celest dome
#

I like AoS, i just dislike ET, but I know to dissociate the 2

crisp heath
#

The God Emperor of Manki-

spark relic
#

Enslaves an entire realm and kills it so that he can have some peace and quiet

spark relic
#

Literally

crisp heath
#

oh my god

spark relic
#

Skeleton sorcerer that can resurrect people

crisp heath
#

i will kill you bot

spark relic
#

hahahaha

crisp heath
#

Both are: extremely racist

#

genociders

#

most likely gay

#

looks at Valdor and Arkhan

celest dome
#

Gay ?

#

More like Pan if anything

#

Or Powersexual

spark relic
#

If they had sexual desires they totally would be

crisp heath
spark relic
#

Nagash was also very loyal to Sigmar, being the last god to leave him after he created the Mortal Realms

#

Probably after he kicked him in the nuts but still

celest dome
#

Isn't the Dwarf Engineer God still friend with Sigmar ?

spark relic
#

Kinda, but his pantheon was far larger

#

He united all gods against Chaos

#

then it fell apart

#

Even Gorkamorka was there

crisp heath
#

Chad Gorkamorka

#

imagine

celest dome
#

So he is not the last god to leave since there are still some that could still leave

crisp heath
#

Also

spark relic
#

Sigmar just pointed at a problem and told Gorka to fight it

crisp heath
#

Fuuuuck Sigvald

#

FUUUUUUUUCK sigvald

spark relic
#

magnificent bastard

crisp heath
#

no

#

i want him dead

#

who is willing to help me

#

i own an assault rifle

spark relic
#

Isn't his name literally Sigvald the Magnificent?

crisp heath
#

lets see his yee yee ass haircut beat my lesbian power

#

tbh

#

sigvald as a character

#

has made me hate slaanesh

#

so f u c k i n g much

spark relic
#

I thought hating Slaanesh was normal

crisp heath
#

It also doesnt help

spark relic
#

Day one, have never liked the pink bastard

crisp heath
#

the community of warhammer made them the "LGBTQ god"

#

which pisses me off to no end.

#

as a gay person

#

dont associate me with that

spark relic
#

Torture god should not also be Lgbt god

#

That's not cool

#

Make it someone else

crisp heath
#

Like

#

it puts me in a bad light

#

like im some kind of hellraiser villain lmao

spark relic
#

That's why I picked Nagash

#

So people would focus on funny skeleton instead of unending torture

#

Such is the power of Nagash

#

Why not make the LGBT God Isha?

#

She's the nicest of all gods and just wants people to be happy with life

#

No one else wants this

scenic sun
#

Sigmar wants that too

#

He accomplishes is by bashing chaos in the face

spark relic
#

Yeah but Sigmar's realm lives on battle

#

What are the Stormcast gonna do if there's no war to storm... cast?

pale coral
#

I didn’t know Ratlings existed are there any other races that could potentially show up as a class?

scenic sun
#

If grendyl is particularly radical you can expect xenos even. Otherwise felinids or beastmen

pale coral
#

What xenos could potentially be present?

wooden ibex
#

Tau and Elder are those that could willingly help.

pale coral
#

Is there actually potential for Tau?

celest dome
wooden ibex
celest dome
#

Xenos wouldn't really fit as Convict

full bane
wooden ibex
#

They could go the vermintide 2 route and add classes to themes

#

Like ogrym - gun slugger

normal stream
#

I imagine new classes will share most of the skins, weapon sets, and voice sets.

wooden ibex
#

Then it would make even more sense to go that route

#

Xeno could get brought in for a expansion if they want that, because that could have a extra story point.

normal stream
#

Like, a new race would be so much dev work that wouldn't fit in a quarter.

pale coral
#

For Tau couldn’t they potentially have a Gue’vesa? To keep with humans but still have interesting gear potential

wooden ibex
#

I don't know much about 40k Eldar so I can't say anything about them but Tau could offer help of course they have there own motives to do so.

In theory yes but Gue'vesa are seen as traitor to the Imperium while they did cooperate at times with the Tau. But I agree it would be easier to create a Tau Gear class than a complete Tau Character.

celest dome
celest dome
#

As Xenos tech wouldn't be that easy to get

proud laurel
#

anyone know why this guy has an exploding face?

celest dome
#

The Archetypes is what you start as

celest dome
#

Class is what you will end up in the Warband

proud laurel
vague plover
wooden ibex
#

As example Veteran - sharpshooter

wooden ibex
#

Kroot as part of the Tau empire should help (if the tau would help) but considering there main trait is they devour there enemies and take some of there traits might be difficult with the enemies of the game:)

proud laurel
vague plover
wooden ibex
#

....but that could be the reason we could get pest kroots as enemies in that scenario X)

scenic sun
#

Kroot do work on their own at times rozen otherwise yeah

#

I doubt eating infected flesh will help them

crisp heath
proud laurel
#

I want them to keep it at this point

#

it looks hilarious especially at times where it sparks several times a second

spark relic
#

I didn't know people cared about that

#

You would rarely see it when you're in the menu anyway

storm jungle
#

literally looks like a Naked Gun gag KEK

normal stream
scenic sun
#

They consider both chaos and Tyranid flesh bad

#

Obvious reasons as to why

storm jungle
#

Yeah it makes their stomach have cramps, no joke

#

Necron metal too Pepega

#

one literally begged for someone to kill him after eating it

scenic sun
#

Wonder why they don't eat necrons...

wooden ibex
#

Necrons would be cools a single character class....not sure if there are necrons isolated from the network.

storm jungle
#

because necrodermis is self-regenerating

#

imagine eating a super tiny piece of metal right

#

then feeling it regrow back inside you

scenic sun
storm jungle
#

Also like if necrons showed up its game over

#

we can already barely hold onto Tertium as it is

scenic sun
#

^

#

A necron lord with his army showing up? Oof

storm jungle
#

the planet is also cut off from astropath communication as said by Hadron the techpriest.

#

Nobody is coming.

scenic sun
#

Warp storm?

#

F

storm jungle
#

That i dont know, she only says the astropath-comms are down

wooden ibex
#

That does cut out the empire but they are also the only one who is it, right?

scenic sun
#

Fatshark does ass pulls with their lore at times

#

So...

#

Kruber was bretonian afterall guys! If they want to add weird classes, they will most likely

wooden ibex
#

I mean GW isn't known for there great writing and the word grimderp as it's origin somewhere :p

#

But we can only speculate on basis what is, not what they could change.

#

Also if they are to outrageous that could be a bit tricky.

scenic sun
#

If the game's got to be the point of entry to 40k for many people, better show more parts than just "chaos guys, chaos big baddie!"

wooden ibex
#

Yee

full bane
#

I doubt we'll see playable Xenos though, they don't fit the theme of the game nor the setting.

#

It's a narrow slice of the 40k universe, but one that's been well made to be an intro point to the Imperium.

wooden ibex
#

40k feels smaller to me than Warhammer fantasy because most media of it depicts just a very narrow view on the universe.

storm jungle
#

I mean

#

thats true

#

lmao

#

40k feels massive but has nowhere near the depth as something like Fantasy where its all in a single planet.

pale coral
#

I’m just happy to be able to play as a Psyker or Ogryn

storm jungle
#

its a sacrifice made for good reasons but its a valid criticism

full bane
#

40k is wide, but not deep. It's a sprawling open sandbox of a setting.

storm jungle
#

Yeah it fills a few boxes and plays favorites to factions mostly

full bane
#

Fantasy has long in depth details of each city and town in the Empire.

storm jungle
#

Literally also every province or town has some sort of lore that is still being fleshed out by new RPGs too

#

40k is harder for that since its the entire galaxy

full bane
#

Yeah they've got different design intentions as settings. One is bigger and anything can happen, while the other is a more detailed and grounded place.

storm jungle
#

Yeeee

celest dome
wooden ibex
#

We need more Xenos in the games(not this one in particular)....doesn't help that the empire is super racist and cooperates only if really needed

storm jungle
#

Yeah...

#

Darktide is also super pro-imperium for ironic reasons

#

most players wont realise all the fascist loading screen quotes in the game are suppose to be ironic

scenic sun
scenic sun
#

I am only speaking from our point of view, yes

wooden ibex
#

Like I said to my friend the Imperium is super evil (with also good people in it) but they often fight even worse evil.

scenic sun
#

But I wouldn't say most players take them serious

storm jungle
#

Trust me

#

having been a mod here

#

they do

scenic sun
#

Do they listen to the servitor? The medicae servitor?

wooden ibex
#

Ye...I won't bring RL politics in it but certain groups....well they really like some aspects

storm jungle
scenic sun
#

Or how their gear is covered in skulls?

scenic sun
#

But the thing is being a political dissenter is a crime

storm jungle
#

A lot of servitors are innocent people wrongly accused and servitorized

#

yep

scenic sun
#

Or offending a mechanics magos

#

Or other bs

wooden ibex
#

The system is corrupt to the core

storm jungle
#

yeah pretty much

wooden ibex
#

"Why do I still live? What more do you want from me? I gave everything I had to you, to them. Look what they've made of our dream. This bloated, rotting carcass of an empire is driven not by reason and hope but by fear, hate and ignorance. Better that we had all burned in the fires of Horus' ambition than live to see this."
ROBOUTE GUILLIMAN

scenic sun
#

If you have a pysker in your party, they literally explain this to you

storm jungle
#

like even the "I am a warrior" scene in the game, its more or less the Inquisitor zoom-calling you and hyping you up as meat-shields, not that he has actual faith in you

#

its easier to rouse the masses that way

wooden ibex
#

Darktide is basicly "40k suicide squad"

storm jungle
#

yep more or less

wooden ibex
#

I never have tought I could have called out the Empire as the Evil they are in a 40k space...from what I read people get treated badly for it ^^°

#

So yay 🙂

storm jungle
#

lmao yeah we dont allow that here

#

as long as you dont constantly bang people over the head with it its fine, within other outlets its harder since they'll usually lynch you for that opinion KEK

#

Its fine to like the Imperium as a fan, just dont try to justify the stuff they do

scenic sun
#

I mean, I'd say the empire isn't completly black

storm jungle
#

on the thicker surface it mostly is

#

it doesnt have to be the way it is but now its more or less to olate

#

it grinds up any good people within it and spits them back out to add ontop of it

scenic sun
#

why is he so outraged?

#

like... brother, you were no better

#

if 30k was more "better" I'd understand, but so many people need to hammer that 30k was as bad it's like.. why?

#

this quote makes no sense, rant over

#

i just wish 30k was potrayed as being more grey morally, the imperium doing actual good, so we can see how far it's fallen truly

wooden ibex
#

Depending from where the quote got pulled from it made sense at the time, the writer hardly could know what GW does fabricate later.

storm jungle
#

Guilliman was more or so putting up with the Imperium's brutality because he knew they would iron it out by the end and make it like Ultramar more or less

#

same with Corax and Vulkan

storm jungle
scenic sun
#

even with that brutality, don't make it as bad as 40k. Make the fall truly tragic

#

that's just bad writting in my opinion. WIthout a fall why should i care for how evil the imperium is in 40k, it's always been this pure evil

wooden ibex
#

Also maybe some of you can enlighten me. Is it true that the original tau were basicly without the controling leader plot but they added it because certain fans leached out that the Tau as high tech good guys made the empire look bad?

storm jungle
#

yeah the writers kinda did a bad job lol

storm jungle
#

it was just A LOT less in your face

scenic sun
#

^

#

i know in earlier editions 30k was an actual era of hope

#

it was brutal, but seems were going up actually. Under the imperium you could thrive

storm jungle
#

Kinda

#

the Imperium was more or so killing any humans that resisted them too

scenic sun
#

true

#

but it was not depicted as being extremly corrupt in 30k, you didn't get turned into a servitor because you looked at the local magos the wrong way

wooden ibex
#

Yeah it doesn't do story strolling any service if everything must be brutal and dark without rhyme or reason but I guess that is part of the "War Game" thing but I think especially from a franchise perspective it would be good to have more nuances.

#

Atleast somewhere

scenic sun
#

Darkness without light is suffocating, ideally we'd have shades of grey. Deeply flawed grey, but grey. When there is only darkness, the word "grimderp" is thrown arround

full bane
scenic sun
#

speaking of darkness, gonna run a campaign soon with my friend group set in 40k. They do not know how truly bad the imperium is, any atrocity i can depict so they get the memo?

#

don't want a campaign with only heroes, they ain't going to be that

full bane
#

Especially if they're from an agri-world or Imperial worlds and it's their first time in a hive.

scenic sun
#

and an enemy ship is nearby

full bane
#

A contact or ally getting arrested/detained on a minor infraction, a week later their food servitor gets changed out and has a familiar face.

scenic sun
#

that's evil, like it and i am noting it down. Would boarding guardsmen be ordered to fire on crowds of workers of the lower decks?

#

thought about their superiors telling them to do so the ones that scatter clog the elevators leading to their level, slowing enemy response

celest dome
#

yes

wooden ibex
#

The human Empire is worse than most proclaimed evil empires in fiction xD

scenic sun
#

in 40k i'd say they're mid tier of evil

#

you have dark eldar and chaos to compete with

wooden ibex
#

That's the only reason they are not the obvious bad guys....there are even worse ones xD

full bane
spark relic
#

Why not bring up the corpse starch factories?

#

Since the factories are run almost entirely by human hands and they know exactly what they're making

scenic sun
#

Oh also thought of cutting off the oxygen supply because "everyone inside are traitors and deserters anyways"

full bane
#

Contagion outbreak or Xenos presence having the most humane or compassionate (and also the most intelligent) officer venting the entire Hab-Deck just in case.

spark relic
#

Bring in a mention of defying authority by showing some dude not get out of the way of a noble fast enough or something

#

And getting arrested or shot for it

full bane
#

Like if you emphasize that this is the chillest guy around and he tells them that the decks are being vented and he needs you to cut down anyone leaving the area.

#

(and he's right, the possible threat is that grave)

#

Maybe they get a shore leave and near the end they get asked to do "personnel replenishment" for the navy. One of the other squads heads out with stunners and bomb collars, they come back with the most "workers" and get rewarded for it.

scenic sun
#

Well the system their regiment is reinforcing is (they do not know this) infested by Tyranids so it makes sense

#

and uh... you all are evil assholes and love you for it. Nice, gonna take ideas for ship shenanigans

wooden ibex
#

Something Something for the emperor of mankind

scenic sun
#

one of them wants to be a comissar i belive, i think i'll have to talk in private

spark relic
#

Disgraced commissar could be an idea

#

Or a Junior commissar

trail nimbus
#

hello I am dumb, what is the "H" for?

spark relic
#

Loads of things

#

Might not even be an H

wooden ibex
#

Humanity maybe

#

If it's a H

solar canopy
#

Horus

spark relic
#

Holy perhaps

trail nimbus
#

"holiness"? idk i like to think it means "haruspex" and its his job

wooden ibex
spark relic
#

Herald?

#

As in Herald of the Emperor or something

timber pumice
solar canopy
timber pumice
solar canopy
#

do you have moment to talk about our Lord and Saviour Horus who died for our sins?

full bane
#

WIth an Epsilon and Theta next to it.

wooden ibex
#

I would like to visit the timeline where he succeeded...in fiction

trail nimbus
full bane
#

40k loves their greek alphabet.

trail nimbus
#

interesting, that opens some new things for me to speculate on its meaning

spark relic
#

Roman numerals and Greek alphabet

#

High Gothic is just an evolved version of Latin

#

@scenic sun Have you thought about adding subtle details for the players, such as some npcs being very pale, even for voidship crew?

#

Or perhaps some people being sensitive to light or just wearing sun goggles when it isn't that bright

#

To hint at the Genestealers presence

scenic sun
#

i may, they'll make planetfall later on two planets and will have some things to worry about. Maybe i could display some of the populance as such

spark relic
#

Cool, also, hoods and shrouds obscuring peoples heads and faces

#

if it's windy or cold

scenic sun
#

before that i must read more about tyranid lore, wanted to do something else but i feel tyranids are the most "xeno horror" species

spark relic
#

They're the best for a feeling of the threat coming from within

#

Where you least expect it

celest dome
#

Could do a Forge World that has Necron in it's depth

#

Of a Shrine World that is following a very puritan way of the Emperor

scenic sun
#

first planet is a mining world but... it's desolate already. two SOS alarms are being broadcasted, some squads are sent to investigate

#

the second IS a shrine world that is starting to feel the wrath of the hive, and mutation is already going up...

spark relic
celest dome
#

Not even needed

spark relic
#

Shrine worlds crumbling from heresy is the best

scenic sun
#

nah

celest dome
#

Just have them be decrepit old farts that see their ways as the one way and enforce it on everyone

scenic sun
#

this is just their "intrudoction" as guardsmen, not even the proper campaign

spark relic
#

remember the three-armed emperor

celest dome
#

Might be too political though

#

With current affairs in a certain country

scenic sun
#

hmmm? OH

#

took me a moment there

celest dome
#

If ya wanna introduce GSC maybe have the player help a freedom fighter group to help, but it end up being GSC who wanna take over

scenic sun
#

by the way, how probable is it that a squad of guardsmen get invited to eat with the upper echelons of officers and nobility, as a reward for their last two missions. Thought of that as a "reward" if my players do exceptionally well

spark relic
#

If they do extremely well then maybe

deft sedge
#

officers it happens in some books

celest dome
#

If they are an elite squad, but they would be congratulated and then pushed to eat with the lower classes

deft sedge
#

upper echelons of nobility? forget it

spark relic
#

Not the top top brass but their company commanders maybe

deft sedge
#

upper echelons of nobility in 40k are some of the worst aristos in all of fiction

#

and that's saying something

celest dome
#

As always depend on the world

spark relic
#

They'd never even meet the nobility

Cain ate with his troops iirc

Cain was a commissar, it's different

cain is a giga chad, not all officers are like that

also yes

And also written as an unusual Commissar at that.

And I don't recall him eating in the mess with the rank and file.

deft sedge
deft sedge

seems like something Gaunt would do not Cain

median viper
#

I'm not saying it would be OOC for him, he's always up for improving his image in front of people holding guns.

#

But there's still matters of decorum that I think would make that a rarity.

deft sedge
#

yeah and the fact that fraternization w/ officers isn't permitted in the Guard

median viper

I find it difficult to give blanket statements on what is and isn't Guard standard because there aren't really Guard standards.

It's like the Imperial Cult: Follow these general guidelines, and you can pretty much do whatever.

deft sedge

I find it difficult to care about "accuracy" when the lore was written by 80's cokeheads to sell plastic army men

Also fair.

#

I guess that's the answer to your inquiry, @scenic sun

You could make it a thing for your Regiment.

deft sedge

in WHFB it would be more likely to happen

spark relic
#

Wars usually weren't on the same level of meatgrinder as the 40k ones

deft sedge

definitely. and there's more positive hierarchy examples

spark relic
#

So people could become known and not vanish in the next battle

scenic sun
#

Oh no, thing is the ship has a feast hall for important events. Normally navy personal, rogue traders or anyone important is invited, if they are transporting a regiment the higher officers get a place too. Our squad might be recommended for entry if they do VERY well

that's just because James doesn't own a calculator

deft sedge

scenic sun

That's nothing

deft sedge

it's literally insignificant haha, yeah

scenic sun
#

And I bet an equal ammount of traitors

deft sedge

traitor marines? I think they outnumber loyalists at this point

#

I believe that was in the recent chaos codex

spark relic
#

We have no idea of traitor numbers because the traitors don't know their own numbers

scenic sun
#

Doubt it

median viper

I kind of think of "1 million X" as kind of like how the Chinese use "ten thousand" as stylistic slang for "infinite" or the Scots used "Two hundred years ago" for "a long long time ago in an indeterminate oldie time period."

Apart from the black legion and the iron warriors the rest lose marines more than they gain
