The fact he himself does it is pretty neat
Oh god the one that got covered in blood
Who got shot by a guardsmen accidentally or something
And then he proceeds to just charge them down
Whomp whomp
I don’t have it on me but I’ll try later
It’s basically just that
It’s a short little blurb
Yeah theyre capable of just fighting with guardsmen
Probably not a good plan
But they can without issues
Flesh Tearers it’s always a bad idea
And Seth makes sure they don’t
They’re pretty normal for marines
Yeah the carcharadons don’t accidentally kill allies
It’s only recently after Seth has made massive changes to their structure and how they operate and communicate with other Imperium forces that the Flesh Tearers have had a positive reputation
Before it was literally just “Oh fuck not these guys”
And they still have the chaplain whose batshit insane
And nukes a planet for no reason
Seth can’t just get rid of him because he has so much power but yeah he’s fucking nuts
The one who powerfisted a dreadnought?
I think so
They were trying to prevent some crazy governor from like, holding the loyal planet below hostage
And she had some nukes keyed to her tongue or something as a threat so they wouldn’t kill her
And so instead of killing her before she activated it
He lets her, then kills her, and watches the planet below her blown up by nukes
For no reason
It’s so bizarre
Wait
But new 40k has rowboat and necrons
Genestealers were in lore before tyrannids
Yes
I dont care about roberto i want kylie minogue
What bout necrons
Lol
In her 1987 form
Genestealers we’re originally their own thing
The superior space Egyptians
And they got kinda folded into the Nid deal
Thousand suns are bozos
Necrons are actually just the kid on the playground who refuses to die when kids play war or wtvr
They’re a logical thing to exist in space fantasy
Im surprised they’re the only faction that doesn’t die
They do die
U know what i mean
It’s just harder to kill ‘em than others
Drukhari are similar
They just get free rezzes easier
I thought dark elves were literally the most screwed ones when it comes to death
Nah they can get brought back although it depends on their standing
Dark Elves are one of the most secure races, really
Tbf even the basic kabalites on the tabletop are pretty high ranking
Going on real space raids is a privilege
Im confused
You’re telling me that dark eldar have an easier time of resurrecting than regular eldar
Regular eldar don't really have resurrection at all. They can be ghosts in stones, but that's about it
Ye
We’re including the space clowns in that statement?
Well from what i know
Well, they're not regular eldar, really. They have a god that can save them from slaanesh's loving embrace
Yea that’s why im confused
I thought if anything a higher ranking dark eldar would get soul sucked quicker
Also are the half eldar born of ultra marine seed since they wear blu
Rich people privilege
The only half eldar was this one random dude from way back in the day. Like Rogue Trader days.
Half eldar don’t exist anymore
As far as we can tell
Not really canon thing
Haven’t been mentioned since rogue trader
Sure but people said the same stuff about squats
Theyre hiding and working from the shadows
Ye
Alongslide inquisitor obiwan sherlock closseau
Squats were mentioned
After rogue trader
For one
My favorite character, stimhead, once beat slaanesh by doing so many drugs he just got back up after being killed
They've been on Necromunda for a while
So no that doesn’t apply to squats
Because they never got completely dropped and 1984’d
And the half eldar thing makes less than no sense anyway
Yeah
Also the half eldar guy
Got brought back as a full eldar
Which fills even more dirt in that hole
Who else can resurrect
Chaos champions who are valuable
A handful of humans can. Called perpetuals.
Squat time
I mean literally a handful, though

Not counting the thing the god emperor is
And we don't actually know of any perpetuals post-heresy
So just daemons and chaos lords
But that's mostly because it was an invention of the heresy novels
Ic
The primarchs are all very likely resurrectable under the right circumstances
Late but lmao dont mention it
Snipe & Wib got more Rogue trader vids highly recommend em
No, just humans that for some unexplained reason respawn when they die
I noticed something weird, why do both scabs and dregs cut off their noses
Oh
theres not really any bone there to hold it yeah
It decayed
Yeee
I see
It took me until i was like 22 to learn noses had no bones so
They play deadly games of got your nose
Yeah its mostly because the traitor guard are "freshly" turned
the Dreg cultists meanwhile got buboes and stitches all over
and are also filthy as fuck
Papa Nurgle takes your nose first so you don't have to smell the rot
They have maggots in em
On their skin
If you melee them the maggots go flying everywhere
Maggots are gud
Oh yeah those are the poxwalkers that comes with the territory
I wonder is the moebian 6th an army or just a single regiment, which confuses me as to how a 20,000 sized regiment can do massive havoc in a hive city with billions of people
40k
Lol
A MASSIVE crusading fleet of 100 ships
Highly trained and they’re using chemical weapons
Also the cult
True true
I remember someone saying whenever they release numbers for stuff just add 1-3 0's at the end
Is working with the Moebian 6th
How big would the admonition be?
Large
A sizable chunk of the populace
It’s been festering for a long time
We do
So i guess about 10+ million
More prolly
Makes you wonder how large the Inquisitorial Force is on the ground
They have pdfs
And other imperial garde regis
Possibly newly recruited and trained moebian regis
Still, probably somewhere around 1+ million
Also the battle is only happening in the lower hives no?
So the upper hives are safe
Planetary defense forces are still pretty good at defending their planet
Though not as good as IG
So far yes
No i was just laughing cuz pdf is a file type
I figured
Planetary defense force
Remember the PDF has several hives to draw from
Chemdogs will probably instantly turn to nurgle
But the Moebians are training every rotten underhiver to fight they can
I heard atoma prime is a hive world
Ye
So the planet is supposed to be a single hive city
And to not get sent back to their prison planet
For drugs
That's not how hive worlds work
There can be multiple
Nurgle can’t promise drugs
I remember when the Chem Dog were the real magpies
Hmm ok
Only Terra is a planetwide hive so far
Slannesh can
IIRC
But
Some diseases give hallucinations
We’re fighting in a single hive city
Right, but Atoma Prime's Hive Tertium is probably the third hive on the planet
Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Hive Primus, Secundus, and Tertium
Third
Mayhaps but who’s to say they want to hallucinate
They want drugs
What else do drugs do
Givw euphoria
Make me happy
Im sure a disease can do that
Nah
Because they have poor body images
And nurgle loves them
Chem dog no care about mental health
To ease their suffering
Chemdogs can still be corrupted imo
Ease their suffering through? Maybe diseases that give you less pain
Or rot your nerves
So you dont feel pain
Anymore
Yea that’s the other thing
Some addicts like the feeling of the needle going in
So if nurgle takes away pain
Riots
Anyways I have a feeling chemdogs can easily be corrupted.
Or have already chaos sympathizers
Whats the defection rate can we look this up?
Don't the Chem dog have collar bombs ?
No know
I feel like they've only fought mostly xenos
I havent read any lore on them being in a battle against chaos
Tyrannids are the main faction they fight
I feel like they are easily swayed by slaanesh cults
Just because drugs
Or there are already slaanesh cults among their ranks
Or slaanesh sympathizers
Oh yeah Morrow fought in Armageddon, I wonder which one. 2nd 3rd?
Also wouldnt you get executed for knowing about grey knights or something
The 3rd war is still ongoing nvm
Grey knights don’t exist
Half of armageddon is controlled by chaos
Split in half
I feel like armageddon is the next cadia
Where the planet would break
And we would have lion el johnson waking up
Lovegrin
His mental faculties have probably deteriorated too much to hate more than one person
he hates sanguinius as well. it would be a good time to have the phenoix metaphor play out.
If i wanted to do a bit of a deep dive on tertium does anyone know where I'd go to read up? I'm looking at doing a short story and don't want to faff it up badly.
bring back the red angel and sanginuis together
Tertium and atoma prime lore is only in darktide
Theres short stories on the darktide website
Likely more lore will be written in the next 2 years
^
I feel like all of these subsector hive worlds are generic
We’ll probably also get a few more worlds to learn about in that time
The one for the backstories?
if you want context, I would look at the ravenor series. they really spend alot of time in the hives
inb4 we get redeployed to Hive Secunda for a genestealer cult uprising
esinhorn and ravenor flesh out hive cities better than the lore does IMO
also the rogue trader RPG might have something for you
Isnt moebian sector close to the gothic sector
They are lore though
Hive fleet leviathan?
I don’t think we know the location of the Moebian Domain
Oh theyre on the dark imperium
I know that its close to the core, cause its not in thel utlima segment. their governement works completely differently. its more like what the empire should be
Maybe, I think it’s just on the outskirts
It has been a minute since I read isen and rav, literally when they came out, sounds like I should have a re-read. And thank you for the short story tip on the webby
Since morrow is from armageddon
They talk about Indomitus and the great rift
Im guessing they're in the dark imperium
Which implies they’re not cut off
maybe. all I know is that I would much rather live on the 500 worlds then anywhere else
The creator of 40k literally wants us to call it warty thou why are we disrespecting the vision?
Which 500 worlds
The one by leagues of votann?
the ultramarines 500 worlds
its a true meritoracy instead of a giant factory church
Thought he might have been talking about the Tau worlds, but that's more like 40 worlds.
those are called spheres
Orbs
Very sci fi
Space melons
I wonder if Tau's are just gonna replace humanity and we get a cycle
the tau expand like the 1st sphere, the 2nd sphere, its just how they name their crusades
The Tau are never going to replace anything.
honestly, I would rather be an ork in 40K. they seem to have the most fun
Would be interesting to see how an Ethereal fares in the warp.
I want to be a hivemind
Poorly
so, lets get real for a moment. do you prefer Ork, or Orc
Considering almost no one can fare well in the warp without being a powerful Psyker
And even then
Commander farsight the equivalent to tau emperor
Ork for 40k, orc for fantasy.
just saw the new IG models. they increased teh size of the IG models to be taller. wtf
Humans from low grav planets
Duh
Primaris Regiment
Primaris Guardsmen!
Or that
Probably humans just recruited from low gravity planets
The less grav there is the more taller you are.
I like how they've been inconsistent with this as well. Ogryn come from high gravity planets and became absurdly tall.
they need to watch the expanse
Since ogryns were descendants of convicts
I'd say squats to be more likely bioengineered given their retention of intelligence.
Squats do talk about the first ancestors alot
I can't speak to reality, but can speak to other sci-fi settings that being on higher gravity world's tends to breed larger species, i.e. the sangheili from Halo.
I know higher gravity makes you smaller cause blood flow
the expanse nailed this. people that lived on space stations were tall and lanky, and they will die if they go to earth
Wasn't that a form of torture or execution that they used in that show?
Haven't watched it myself but heard it from somewhere.
I don't remember that part
Might have been a different show with a similar concept.
but the show nails space physics in general. they didn't fire their lore master like Rings of power did
Oof
I honestly don't want any major stuido getting ahold of 40K
they fuck up everything that they touch
Well, humanoids near the size of ogryns have evolved on earth. It just takes a certain set of evolutionary pressures.
it should be animated
Does the average person know the emperor of mankind is just a skeleton sitting on a chair
The other thing to consider with Ogryn is that proportionally, they are quite wide for how tall they are. It's not unlikely that their general size increased to deal with the rest of the elements they were combatting, and are simply shorter than they otherwise would be but are still taller than others on that account.
I wouldn't even focus on the big E. I would keep it grounded in the hive cities and not go full on 40K
There are warhammer animation. But I ain't paying Warhammer+ for them
I think ogryns are bioengineered
Still
Like if you had a giant dwarf. He's still short proportionally speaking, but still taller than a normal human
Lol
why bioengineer them to be bigger and stronger tho, plus the dumbness doesn't necessarily make ogryn easier to control, krourk ogryn, if they're still a thing(I assume they are cause I believe the heavy stubber is named after them) are basically uncontrollable once set loose
A few dozen thousand years really ought not be enough for such a significant divergence. They'd have to be bioengineered or the warp was involved, or wierd scifi mutagens.
That's based off of evolution on Earth, not considering other planetary elements.
I don't think there's anything to support that, and everything we do have points to them being naturally evolved that way. If they were bioengineered, they would also have been deliberately made giant and strong, which would imply they coexisted with normal humans who were exploiting them and that is not a part of their origin lore at all. They are certainly exploited now once their planets were brought into the greater Imperium but until that point, they were an alienated set of colonist from the Age of Strife like all other human colonist groups of the time
A bad enough environment might lead to accelerated evolution, if only the strongest, biggest convicts are surviving, and the body is increasingly pressed to sacrifice brain power for brute strength, maybe they get there alot quicker, plus I mean also its 40k so maybe its warp stuff, people were saying beastmen can be born independent of warp influence though so maybe 40k humans just mutate weird
we breed new dog breeds within 50 years
evolution happens quickly if you engineer it
see american slavery
And that's social engineering, to clarify. Not genetic lol
If you can have different dog breeds or different skin colors
You can have different human breeds
you know, the ogryn should just be able to push the dog off of him
Which is what abhumans are
Gameplay =/= Lore
That kind of goes for most of the pinning enemies, but that's for gameplay balance.
^
yeah like if the ogryn couldnt be pinned by most specials
imagine the salt here
kek
actually more like lore =/= lore
The Ogryn realistically should outshine almost everyone else from a lore perspective when it comes to the situation we're in in-game.
Its just that ogryn player cant be dumbed down

So it cant be nerfed
In a way that doesnt break lore
Well, dialogue also states that the player Ogryn are bone'eads so that helps to balance it a little.
Helps to justify player agency a bit
I heard that the bully isnt a bone head
The fact that our Ogryn can be pinned by some mutie who huffed some meth
But we’re also able to stop a chargiing Plague Ogryn
ogryn on ogryn violence
Anyways going back to the topic how humans cant change into an ogryn 10,000+ years is not true. We have different dog breeds. Also it took humans about 6,000 years to get skin colors
Well lighter skin tone
So i think humans did some selective breeding
With the convicts
we could almost all qualify for space marine recruitment with the amount of people we're capable of killing at a single time
Sadly we dont seem to be 10 year olds
Anymore
They pick young kids as recruits
This one bugs me the most tbh lol, the dog does but at least it's a ferocious animal that's spastic and harder to control, like a real dog that's only half the weight of a normal human. But just an angry boi who's smaller than the Ogryn, not a fan
i mean you also need to be compatible to whatever geneseed you are going to be modified with in the marine creation process
It’s not like it would break the special either
that gets alot of people out aswell
The thing is already annoying as shit
Literally most health in the game besides bosses
Can’t be staggered
I think it shouldnt stun ogryns, but do damage to an ogryn over time so like stick to an ogryns back
Yeah, even the Ogryn charge makes him pause for like a second but he doesn't get knocked down from it.
We might get the same gene therapy they give to temple assassins. Hell, a vindicare could take most space marines, even in melee.
Like idc if he can grab Ogryns
And have a friendly kill it
I just want to be able to counter charge him
Tends to be that I charge him, and by the time I turn sround to shoot him he's already recovered and grabs me.
my issue with mutants is their 90 degree turns
My issue is with them being alive
I'd genuinely be okay if they made the mini game for restoring the data interrogator harder for them. Or having him hold the device upside down so that you are going from bottom to top on the symbol chart. Would be a fun little gimmick and nod.
Yeah
Would help to offset the advantage that they get with the ammo crate carrying objective.
Or maybe its slower to do anything with mechanical stuff
So like pressing a button to open the door
Eh, most of the mechanical stuff is just hitting a button or pulling a lever so that doesn't need to be slowed down.
They do fumble in some of their reload animations.
On the ripper gun when you reload, sometimes he'll accidentally smack the loading rail with the magazine because he tries putting it in at the wrong angle.
Or maybe they dont get the in game markers
Like the ones that tell you where to go
So you're forced to look around to know where to go
And what to pick up
So you'd need non ogryn teammates to help guide you
I mean that would be just as reasonable to impose on the other characters just as much as the ogryn at that point
Because no one actually sees those markers, it's just a gameplay mechanic.
Idk how else we could make the ogryn dumber
And again, these aren't regular ogryn, they are the neurally enhanced ones.
Just flavorfully, not in an actually hindering way that makes the entire party suffer.
Lol
Biggest lore discrepancy in the game is that they bothered to give the Ogryn an Auspex

And ironically I tend to be the one doing the most scanning lol
Yeah
No one else plays the obj gdi
I have the camo perk so i just stand still to do the interrogation
Repairs
While my teammates handle the rest
I'd love to actually be an ogryn bodyguard like I'm supposed to be and protect whoever wants to scan, but nobody else ever does, they just want to kill
Probably trying to remove the hord first
I do that on my Escher vet sharpshooter as well
Not even a horde, just them running around picking off solos and opening crates
Oof
If it's a horde, I'm already there with my cleaving dagger
I get decent teammates
On malice
Though i got my first annoying speedrunner last night
On my team
Literally sped run when we were fighting a horde
Either waited for the team to die so he can advance to the next part when he is on the elevator or airlock
Or wait until we get there
Yeah I had my first annoying player yesterday too lol. Not a speed runner, but he was getting angry because he has a weekly to kill enemies and was getting mad when I killed anything because I guess he felt entitled to his weekly and thus just wanted me to follow along while he killed stuff and didn't do any of the objectives.
Lmao
Thats annoying too but i just keep quiet and steal kills from people instead
Cause i need to kill 1000 scabs with range
First time I cussed at someone on there and just deliberately became a troll because of how pathetic he was being about not being able to be a solo player on a co-op game. Guy bought the wrong MW2
I need 200 more scab kills
Was this malice
Or heresy
I have to kill 5 lol
1000 scabs with range
I'll trade you.
I want the higher rewards lol
Which was easy
I got rid of the grim contracts
And complete 25 missions
Anyways If i find annoying people I dont revive them if they die lol
Or take my time searching for crafting materials
So the speed runners cant advance
anyone know who that is?
Amelia on'gauss
When does Darktide take place in universe?

Don't recall his name atm, but it's the inquisitor on board the ship. He shows up in the level 25 and level 30 cutscenes.
Maybe Grandyl? or Grendyl
Sometime after Indomitus has started
Aka fairly “recent”
Oh, it's the Interrogator Melk I think.
Spoil me, the Dark Imperium is the new story line for 40K?
I don't think we've seen Grendyl outside of maybe the trailier, if she's that one old lady.
Basically
That’s not him
Is that confirmed?
What is your take, GW is taking it to Warhammer fantasy?
What?
Yeah her name is like Brahm or something
She’s the Shipmistress
Much appreciated
Neat, thanks. Then I guess we really have no idea at all who Grendyl is.
Spolier ||Warhammer Fantasy all the characters died :)||
Well.. ||everyone who didn't turn into a god ||
Not really, we kinda already knew in advance that the ET were gonna happen one way or another
Wel yeah but no it’s not gonna happen
It’s a completely different scenario
40k seem to rather move further in the timeline
Which is what they could have done
40k basically pays for the company
dying since no one was buying minis
Yeah it was done poorly
the question is more like your opinion will the ||Emperor revive himself or the Emperium of mankind will fall appart and die out||
to be more precise what would you like to happen in the story forward
Option 0: The Golden throne doesn't break but still is in decay, eternally
That is the option they are going to do since it will generate more money
I like the idea of the Emperor dying and the Imperium shattering as the astronomican goes dark, setting the stage for him to either be reborn and attempt reunification or alternatively become a true contender with the chaos gods within warp space
What are the chances Kruber is one of the Liliths knights or whatever
Or would he be one of the sigmarines
Including saltzpyre
Most likely part of the GK that remained with the Lady, and went on to protect Grey haven
Though the most likely choice to the fate of the U5 would be for them to have become Soulbound
Soulbound to whom
The rest of the U5
Oh
I mean he's the Perpetual, so this is pretty unlikely.
Like Cacti said, he is just decaying eternally.
Well the Blade he was struck down with was supposed to be able to destroy souls, which for Perpetuals is very needed
Those territories, which are ‘parts unknown’, wild worlds outside the Imperium’s remit, are a hotbed of alien (“xenos”) and daemonic threat. To the average citizen of Atoma and its sister worlds
We doing xenos one of these days
Genestealers most likely if we get Xenos to kill

But it didn't kill him outright.

Genestealer cults in hive secunda
Cant wait to fight jeanstealers
Yes, because it wasn't like Horus managed to do the kill strike, only injured hiö
Having a genestealer as a boss would be something
Having them give a genestealer random G-Man esque hidden cameos on out-of-bounds fringes of the maps lurking in the dark as a lead up to the gsc DLC. Would be neat.
Thus didn't kill him and claim his soul.
And seeing how the last added boss mob is quite awesome ( even though it can be cheesed ). Pretty sure that a new Genestealer boss would be fun as hell
Maybe it would be better as a monstrosity rather than a boss.
I was thinking of it to be a final boss for a level because these are the things that will tear terminator marines apart, but at the same time I don't think they are quite as durable as a final boss would be, they go down as easily as most other Tyranids when shots get landed on them.
It's the fact that they are ambush predators where they have the advantage.
How present would the more “natural” forms of Tyranid be?
Almost nonexistent as the hive-fleet wouldn’t have arrived yet right?
I wonder why we are going around collecting grimoires and scriptures in these levels. It's really weird that you would send suspected heretics to go do that stuff.
Well a gun is made to kill
But you can sometime survive it and have long lasting injuries
Well by level 30 we are semi-valuable assets. Depending on the inquisitor and their method of research, heretical documents such as grimoires are highly valuable in knowing your enemy
Therefore it would be imperative to retrieve them. And therefore you’d have to use proven assets to retrieve them during pitched battles or what not.
I just wonder how many would have defected
I’d imagine quite a few
That’s why we put them down
Our player characters have a bit of plot armor to them as they are our player characters
However we see everyone else, and just assume everyone else is just another character in the story
Pretty sure that the Inquisitor we are working for is NOT a Puritan.
Therefore they could end up doing any number of things such as heresy
I agree 100%
Especially as he is seen to use penal soldiers for his goals and that’s rather rare
Otherwise the Loner Psyker alone wouldn't be able to survive long enough without getting executed
Generally we’ve seen inquisitors to attach themselves to guard elements and use the guard or what not to further pursue their objectives
Yes the psykers seem to have a LOT more freedom while beyond the wire I guess
so why did the necrons wake up after 60million years of sleep/rest?
tyranids woke them?
That Psyker personality is quite heretical
The Silent king has a hand in all of that
He saw what waited beyond the galaxy and came back I suppose
That and the regular 40k fluff about some Necrons having never gone to sleep and what not
Such as Trayzn the Infinite
Got one voiceline from him where he talked about faith and deifying someone who doesn't want to ( if I remember correctly ). If THAT is allowed, that could speak a bit more about the Inquisitor
Considering the comma are monitored, we are definitely valuable assets if we are given that type of verbal leeway
*comms
necrons def my fav faction, love their living metal bodies and their green fire stuff
idk what that fire stuff is tho
The C’Tan are a lovely bunch of eldritch gods
And the fact there’s a shard of the Dragon on Mars is also a really nice touch of lore that totally doesn’t affect the Adeptus Mechanicus
how can this small frail robot be so strong
Them thighs😮💨
Necrodermis is a hell of a drug
and is that weapon powerful?
Like daddy Ferrus Manus’ hand’s were made of necrodermis
so necrons are literally an army of terminators
It’s a gauss rifle
Yes
Well with the amount of enemies we are shredding, some might mistake our 4 man squads for some Space Marine bullshit. Not talking about the ungodly amounts of dregs, those are just militia. Scores of traitor Guardsmen. a few palgue Ogryns and Beasts of Nurgle. Not to mention we are now killing Daemonhosts...
Right? We kinda accomplish some crazy shit even on Malice difficulty
Insane doesn't describe it. One of their most insane weapons is an interactive map.
Dunno if that applies with a soul, seems a lot more all or nothing when it comes to your metaphysical being and consciousness
I mean I don't know
WOW they had the whole milkyway under their control?
It’s some whacky, not really well explained, weapon that can blow up ANY star
I never really tried to kill a soul or something
Literally ANY star in the galaxy
And that map is truly interactive. If you delete a star on it, that star goes supernova
Correct
So please don't sneeze on it
Yeah it’s fucking bonkers
Technically the Necrons are the true “big bad”
But as is ever 40k, we won’t really see that type of stuff
And when it comes to Tyranids, our best hope
do necrons have any allies they "care" about?
The ctan
Us kinda
they like humans?
The Silent King wants his race to be organic again
Yes
Some have Human pets of sort
They want us to survive so they can use us as meat puppets again
so he needs our organic races to be alive and not be nommed by Tyranids
but lore says that they only went metal because of the radiation that was killing them
Okay okay
if they want flesh again wont they die?
They went metal to be entombed
Necrons lived on a planet like mercury
Cancer race
Everyone had cancer
There were these guys called the Old Ones
They were space lizards with the power of Jesus
The Necrons wanted their help, Space lizards said “nah”
Necrons were still an advanced race however
They tried to wage war with the old ones
They failed
Then they found the C’Tan
They fed on suns
hes getting there
alright
Dw I’ll get there
Ctans learned that souls taste better
So the Necrons were like “we want revenge and no more cancer”
C’Tan are eldritch gods, and like the fuckers they are, they took away the cancer and gave them the means to get revenge
Also necrons before necrons were called necrontyr
But souls begone
Thank you, correct
Before they became sentient robots
ok this is where i get confused they gave them metal bodies pretty much?
skipped over the part where the c'tan where space clouds and the necrons gave them big robot bodies
They were a race
So the necrontyr marched into the soul furnaces and the majority lost em
oh wow
Soem marched willingly others were forced
Necrontyrs had a lifespan similar to tau
did they trick them or something?
Now mind you the Necrontyr aristocracy and their handlers kept their souls for the most part
they wanted to escape death so then they became souless robots that cant die
So they retained autonomous thought and even “feeling”
Then the War in Heaven began
War in Heaven was insane
Didn't they all lose their souls?
thats how the chaos got all messed up?
It completely fucked the Warp
Second war in heaven
Off topic sorry is there a creation story for the chaos gods? How were they created?
Please see my previous comments
It gave birth to khorne
It gave birth to Chaos correct
so wait b4 they got their metal bodies, were necrons always evil and wanted to take over?
No
then towards the end of the war in heaven the necrons turned on the c'tan
However the warp is weird and technically the gods of Chaos ALWAYS existed
Necrons wanted their bodies to be healthy
They just wanted to not live in their shitty planet
And have access to immortality like the old ones
necrons just didnt want to have genetic cancer
how did they look before they were given metal bodies? did they look humanoid like humans?
2 eyes 2 legs?
They wanted to be modified i guess but old ones said no
Yes they were humanoid
variation of skin/black/white etc?
Even when they colonized space, their DNA was fucked enough that they always get megacancer
think of how they look as robots but with grey skin
Theyre humanoid
why would they wanan go back to humanoid SELFS tho they are pretty much immortal and perfect counter to tyranids
thats how i think of them
They just want the tech to modify their cancer ridden dna from the old ones
tyranids CANNOT absorb them
If they have always existed who were they primary target before human suffering? That they are getting their powers from their key negative attributes and what about slanessh wasn't he/she created from Eldars?
no soul they want their souls back
Because having no soul sucks
whats the downside of that? they dont feel no joy or something?
and as robots they cannot expand their empire as their population is fixed and can only go down
o
Again it’s all so fucking convoluted. Yes the Eldar created Slaaanesh, but once they were born, that meant that Slaanesh had ALWAYS existed
also mental disorders due to immortality
And War in Heaven was so bonkers, the Horus Heresy was a small Neighbor conflict compared to it
Who care about being the counter to something if you can't even enjoy life
destroyers and flayers are mentally ill necrons
so even in their human form are they still quite strong?
ehhh
Not known
Humans are fed on the most for their souls because we are the most numerous, and the most influential race in the galaxy
Their tech is great so they aren't weak on that side
Why did some necrons cut their legs off and strap themselves to a tank
Necrons were created for a war that they won like a billion years ago
But their original bodies were not great I suppose
They want to retire
Also because humans need to be the narrative focus in 40k as they are the most relatable, and the lore has built out from them
Its basically like this
necrons are complete masters of the material realm in terms of tech
Chaos existed
But they couldnt influence a specific time
Like sau
Say
Before war of heaven
Necrons are also capable of using anti warp stuff
Or slaanesh couldnt do shit before their birth
Yea that’s the other thing
Blackstone is anathema to the warp
i thought that happened after the warp was like crazy after that war in the heaven, after all the souls were send there
Its like
Necrons are us when we’ve 100% a game
so now that we are taking out daemonhosts. can we be considered stronger than before? given before that our biggest feats were taking down plague ogryns and beasts of nurgle.
So like warp is basically Schrodinger's cat
It died and didnt die
They’re bored
Chaos didnt exist and existed at the same time
Hard to grasp the non linear time in warp this maybe this is why i am confused a little bit 😄
The Necrons use technology according to the laws of reality. That is why the Necrons are the perfect counter to the Warp. Because they are the literal opposite of it.
Nothing the Necrons use is tied to the Warp. At all.
Necrons never used that magic shit
Their gods are gods of REALITY
But they wanted that magic shit
Necron tech is capable off closing the Eye of Terror
If a shard is destroyed then reality unravels
Correct
and yet theyre still sleeping and underground depressed fighting eachother all that good technology
They rarely if ever fight eachother
Well Necron lords can be quite petty
For some reason I want a happy ending for the necrons
in their robot form tho can they actually talk to humans and other races?
yes
Yes of course
Ye
Yes
They can speak any race fluently
Trazyn for example talked to Archmagos Belsarius Cawl
Since he never went sleep
That funny guy trayzn
That wacky trazyn
to teach him some good stuff^^
He taught the humans how to use the pylons of cadia
and nearly closed the Eye of Terror
too bad humans and necrons can't ally and help eachother
Before they could close the warp
Failbaddon crashed a black fortress
Into cadia
Trazyn is the Pokemon Master of 40k
He didnt teach them anything
he just helped Cawl activate them
what is their goal for the necrons?
He just activated them
Oh ok
They all got their own goals
they are seperated into their own dynasties
its mostly for homebrew
He also charged the shield around Cadia
Eh kinda
Their goals are beyond your understanding
Depends on which Dynasty.
The Silent King wants to get them all together to fight the Tyrranids in particular
Orikan’s goal is to go sicko mode
yeah all necron overlords got their own goals since they are more or os just egyptian nobility
see thats why theres in fighting no? too many necrons with too many diff goals
Be sad
Probably how would we say I am space marine fan did not read their books
And he's trying to wrangle everyone else's goals into helping him
Yeah pretty much
if necrons were a single entity they'd kill everyone
Like he gives Szeras what he wants to get his help for other things.
are they trying to help chaos or fight against it?
Its a big political thingy
Similar to humans
Yeah
Fight it
No i was saying a meme phrase
necrons got no reason to trust chaos lmao
But humans gave that country shenanigans 30 millenias ago
Necron Tech is quite anti warp, so not helping Chaos
its like helping a forest fire
Right now they're setting up the Pariah Nexus and taking over all the worlds in it.
Up
The Dynasty guarding the Celestial Orrery want to keep it away from everyone else.
why dont necros like warp?
How fast are necron’s inertialess drives
Yeah the primary goal atm is to make the galaxy warp-proof
could someone recommend a good book for them?
etc
You are in luck!
Necrons got like 4 books

all of them are great tho
Infinite and Divine
That is a great book
I wouldn't say easily
Which book did trazyn prank orikan with a genestealer
But DAOT Human technology was also insane as hell
arent necrons immmortal or similiar to it 😄
Necrons during the War in Heaven fought the peak of the Old Ones and the Eldar Empire sooo
DAOT Humans had black hole weapons, time dilation wqeapons etc. The really good stuff
Yes.
What if the one dudes krorks escaped captivity would they pretend to be gork and mork to make the orks unify?
can humans return to that level or are we doomed?
They cant
in other words if you active their shrines not even the full force of the emperor would could have stopped it ? in 30k
humanity is fucked more or less
lame
WEll not with how the mechanic runs now
A big point of 40k is humanity being its own worst enemy
they will never get their glory days back

Just take the aeonic orb and push it somewhere else
The admech run the same as before
They get bits and pieces of it back... but... the Adeptus Mechanicus don't like sharing often
the golden age is never coming back
G Man right now tries to unfuck the Imperium but this will take time
golden age humans strong enough to fight tyranids?
Or you know the STC gets stolen by the Dark Eldar 😄
We going past gold straight into the diamond age
lmaoo
Guilliman cannot unfuck anything, thats kind of the point. The Imperium is too much of a mess to poke with the boss-stick
Thas not tru if the emperor dies we may lose terra but post that he’ll be back and Ready to make humanity stronk
not really
Well he can. But not in the timeline of a few hundred years
thats never been confirmed
Also the Emperor cant just wave his hands and make humanity okay again
Emperor returns the IoM instantly launches into a civil war of believers and non-believers.
^
Don't forget that one of the Ark Mechanicus might have a fully functioning STC on board without anyone knowing it
The Speranza
the magos could be executed... 🙂 he was running away from Mars he lost his production facilities if he return empty handed he might be hated...
Sure he can that’s how he did it the first time
No?
Will cipher ever deliver that sword of his
True he was
Well there are now the Leagues of Votann existing now, and they have full STCs
kinda depressing that humanity is just hanging on to scraps lol
Not until the plot requires it
Again yeah kinda the point
He went “imma make the thunder warriors to make terra great again”
yeah uh how did that go
Then taught humanity how to not suck
Well story was even more depressing before Failbaddons 13th black crusade because nothing ever happened that brought the story forward
dumb question if u die in the 40k universe does your soul go to the warp/that place of loudness? and do you still have ur conconciousness?
spoiler: ||since it fails to bring back the weapon or the expodition i don't think he is going to be promoted||
That’s heretical lies he liberated them

The Emperor is quite the hypocrite.
Yeah you do
and a shit father
you either have your soul devouered or peacefully dissipate
and spoilers uh
the Emperor does not protect your soul

Isn’t that how the angels usually are
he ahs other stuff to do, like setting nurgles garden on fire
you either have your soul devouered or peacefully dissipate
so you can live peacefully in the warp or a demon eats it? what happens once ur souls are eaten do you go somewhere else?
They just sit in the warp till someone prays
No you cant
Yup yup, it would be interesting to see how they explain that 😄
i meant have your soul disappear and become nothingness
the afterlife in 40k isnt great
better than have Slaneesh getting a claim on your soul
the warp is a shitty heaven tbh lol
We don't know what happens when people die in 40k tbh, all sources on it are biased as hell. Its definitely not like, clear.
Its not heaven so yeah
Nah all are pretty clear
its literally either
eaten by chaos deities
I don't think Graham will continue it since the ending is enough grim for it and he is working for Riot Games
flickers out
Being alive suck
it may have been heaven but its so fucked right now it turned into hell
Being Dead suck even more
after the heaven war?
Yeah, it was more in jest, imagine being a magos having to explain to the Forge World you lost all these resources...
According to the blu people the warp is fake news
stupid necrons messed everything up
If 40k ever hits the mainstream it’s gonna be revealed that everything was a part of Big E’s master plan to make humanity super awesomest beacons of goodness
You will be shipped as a servitor to Tertium 😄
wait could the old ones just actually helped the necrons?
or the heretics things he left to endure ...
No
they could have but didnt
Not so fast. First we need more primarchs to unfuck the Imperium
thats why the necrons got super salty
oh so fk da old ones then lol
They’d have to prove that the tau aren’t altruistic in the slightest
The problem with W40K is that it is not PC( political correct) and hence no one will touch it
Jokaero are the paragons of virtue

T'au once were intended to be the "good guys" in this setting but enough people complained that there should be no good guys because grimdark
They never were
A lot of the cyberpunk genre isn’t either but that became semi mainstream
Like, their original codex still has them with major sinister undertones
Its some recent idea of the fanbase that the Tau were ever somehow "good guys"
They're a bit better than some factions
Cyberpunk made into the mainstream because of the aesthetic
The good guys are humans because im human
humans have to deal with necrons/tyranids and their dying people
Not really
i dont think we can win
They've always been the sinister undetones with a nice glossy exterior.
The good guys are the machine gods
40k is not popular because its some underground miniature game
has nothing to do with politics
Would be popular if we get films
And people gatekeep it way to much
Of the fucking thing
40k is awesome
