Tzeentch isn't always cloak and dagger. The dude fucking loves war because war brings about change
What games?
I think Khorne is a very good option as they do not have to be all mad bloodthirsty. They do have some very dedicated Chaos IG groups that are all super martial organzied
Dawn of war all 3, and space marine are the 2 big ones
Dawn of War II CR- Ulkair
We do not talk about Kyras. Fuck Kyras.
What 3rd?
Funny joke
There was no third dawn of war.
If any of you insist that there was a third the Inquisition might have to purge this chat.
Not all of Khorne's worshippers are particularly angry when they come to his cults.
Positive emotions and thoughts are as easily manipulated by the Chaos Gods as negative ones.
Either way. DOW II CR - Ulkair was the big bad.
Kyras was a demon of Khorne. He is the exception.
Space Marine- Mostly Bloodletters although isn’t the main bad supposed to be a black Legionary of Chaos Undivided?
Inquisitor Martyr- Nurgle.
Eisenhorn: Slaaneshis made several appearances.
Idk about Fire Warrior. Didn’t play that one.
On the flipside every chaos god also has an upside, Khorne represents honor as well as violence. Tzeench is schemes/hope, etc
Slaanesh would make the game hard to sell to kids
Tzeentch might lose people in the storyline
Total war Warhammer 3 did fine
Canonically correct Slaanesh would be a hard sell for anyone.
Okay now try doing that with an fps
they nerfed Slaanesh into "find me pretty shinies"
Fulgrim after finding that sword be like
Intro cinematic will be tentacle porn rather than eldritch horror
The game would be a drug trip.
All 3
its all flesh down here in this chaos invasion ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Edlritch Hedonist Horror
A slaaneshi game is just cruelty squad
A Slaaneshi game would probably be the controls are all fucked up and it’s DS1 levels of difficulty while you are on six different hard drugs.
So, Cruelty squad.
Yeah pretty much
Rapidly alternates from super bright to pitch black
That’s what Slaanesh has always been about.
Not her fault the internet is filled with coomers
partly about. its his entire stick in new fantasy. More a crow than Tzeentch is
Same with 40k
Slaanesh is just a fucking vtuber
Absolutely, people obsess over horny becayse they horny. Its not everything Slaanesh is.
Hedonism surpasses sex every time since its so basic in the list of desires humans have so yeah
No, that is EXACTLY what she wants. Slaanesh is excess in all things. She is raw sensation.
Horni is a sensation.
thats just one many sensations
People obsess over horny because its funny to see slaanesh shit as "Horni on main" instead of Hm yes today I will play cruelty squad to relax my eyeballs
Pride is a Sensation
i mean. the problem with Hedonism is it is hard to show given that most modern life is nothing but hedonistic
Just go to extremes
Basically Slaanesh is “everything everywhere all at once” the god.
The thrill of battle is a sensation and probably why Slaanesh has so many duelists.
thats my point. if you arent living in poverty you are a hedonist
The midzone between slaanesh and khorne
Arrogance is definitely a common trope among Slaaneshi followers.
ye
To be a follower of both you’d have to walk a razor thin line.
Ma boy Lucius
Avg Slaaneshi low tierboss: Im gonna 1v999,9999,999 all of you!
Lucius should be pretty easy to kill. I mean the Necrons BY ALL MEANS should be able to kill him.
Lucius is easy to kill. The trick is keeping him dead
no his curse can effect the necrons
How? They have no souls!!
a fucking warrior killed him and he torn his way out of it
they dont need one. the curse effects you if you feel any form of satisfaction in the killing
they can be messed up by the flayer virus tho
which im 90% sure was chaos related
so only those that have 0 reason to care that they just killed the greatest duelist of mankind can break Lucius' curse
I would like you to meet Abaddon
which in 40k is a surprisingly long list of people lol
Man Abaddon sliced up the founder of the black templars ol siggy like swatting a fly I doubt Lucius would be a challenge at all imo
i know but Lucius is literally the best duelist in the galaxy. that is his whole shtick
he only loses when he wants to
counterpoint: Abaddon killed the only guy who ever beat Lucius
that being siggy i'm pretty sure
at least one of the three maybe
Okay here are a number of things that by all means could and should kill permakill Lucius.
Tau AI.
An unknowing suicide bomber.
Artillery (if they don’t know they hit him how can they feel joy about killing him)
Driving a ship he is on into the sun.
Any number of carnivorous plants in the imperium.
Nuclear weapon suicide.
Backing over him in a tank.
his soul would still live on in the warp
also he's probably gonna achive daemonhood if he hasnt already
just keep coming back
ye
Not chaos related. I read it more as corruption of their code as chaos corruption relies upon souls. Souls which the necrons don’t have due to bio transference.
only way to be sure is giving him the horus treatment and control alt deleting him from reality
Not a demon yet. Just gifted. Same way Abbadon isn’t a demon.
ooh I think the ctan invented the flayer virus then
its been a minute since I read a necron book tho
The c’tan did create it
One of the Ctan cursed the Necrons with it in death.
with the artty that wont work as all it takes is feeling satisfaction in the killing not that you killed Lucius himself. iirc he literally stepped on a land mine one time and the guy that set it heard it go off, felt good about it, and then Lucius burst out of him
And then the Necrons stopped killing the C’tan lol
Because turns out killing c’tan damages reality itself
Arty would work depending if the crew didn’t feel any satisfaction with their service or their position.
that could work yeah
“We must now play Pokémon on an intergalactic scale”
Which is weird because the C’tan themselves aren’t warp entities, right?
-Some necron lo rd probably
like the list of people and ways that Lucius' curse can be broken is insanely long and its only thru pure plot armor that it hasnt been broken yet
They entertain slaanesh lol
Are the C’tan the real space equivalent of the Chaos Gods?
Slaanesh doesn’t care about the “rules” of the curse
ye
Sorta? It’s what it seems like. We don’t have enough lore on them to say for sure
didnt the necrotyr make them from living space clouds or has that been retconned?
Nah they did
I mean think about it.
The chaos gods power is about bending the immaterium. Unreality.
The C’tan’s power is mostly bending reality.
There’s not a ton of lore on the actual nature of the C’tan itself
It’s what can be assumed
Based on the lore we have
They did. The C’tan were the ones making the Necron homeworld shit. The Necrons gave them physical forms.
o oops sorry
lol. i literally got a living space cloud in one of my stellarius runs
The C’tan were a space anomaly that consumed and produced shit tons of radiation.
ye
iirc they were orbiting their planet while sucking the energy from the sun that gave them all super cancer as well
they then thought "hey...friends?"
Exactly. They were shaping fate to get the Necrons to create avatars for them.
lol
Did someone put a… right next to Nurgle’s symbol?
never saw it that way but that makes so much sense lol
jerks
just like ||the deceiver's wild goose chase for an untainted necrontyr body being a big hoodwink to get orikan to open his prison||
ummmm
I like to think some Slaaneshi follower is having a laugh.
That symbol means plague
...
Plague be upon you.
Pain be among us.
Painus.
can darktide rejects handle tyranids and orks or nah
GW got cheeky when they made that rune lol
ofc we can, we literally take plasma rounds to the face and laugh
If we could handle the trials and tribulations of Tertium and fight actual demons from actual he’ll I don’t see why not
Reminds me of the Gravemind meme.
“Cock or balls, you must choose.”
“For one you shall keep, and the other you shall lose.”
the things we fight in tertium is the most scrubs enemy we'll ever fight in 40k lol
Orks definitely can be dealt with. Guardsmen fight them all the time
If Chaos Guardsmen are actually OP in a game for once I cant imagine how terrifying nids would be, just millions of xenomorphs with psychic powers
I don’t see why the Inquisition would bother if Chaos, Tyranids and Orks were spotted on planet. They’d Typhon that shit.
After 5 days of Audition crashing, it's finally finished. At long last, the true people's candidate rises.

Be sure to like the video and subscribe if you enjoyed. :) Gravemind's campaign is far from over.
Same reason they're battling the heretics
I do like the devs straying away from the whole space marines/tyranids and ork thing tho, nice to see the little guys (guardsmen and chaos cults) getting the spotlight
Atoma prime is super important to the Imperium logistically
We're trying to avoid having to exterminatus it
i doubt the morningstar is able to do that + all communication outside the system is cut off rn
Better exterminatus it and prevent the threat from spreading.
nurgul is pretty chill no? saves people from death they still rot but they live without pain am I wrong what can go wrong here
There are more than one ways to skin a cat. Detonate the fusion reactors.
INQUISITOR!! We’ve got a problem child!!
that would destroy the hive but leave most of the planet intact so that wouldnt work
I'm still getting into the lore, but as a psyker on an inquisitor team will we ever get treated with a modicum of respect? I know the doctrine indicates no, but is the inquisition not different ?
Yes come to the good side child
The machine god is best!!
um wait why does he have worms in his mouth gross
given that many inquisitors themselves are psykers yeah you can earn respect
Depends. The group that founded the Inquisition was basically all psykers
But they're super secretive
Don’t judge Isha’s cooking. She’s doing her best with ingredients from the garden.
Ordo Malleus, the secret Daemon hunting arm of the Inquisition
Isha is nurgle’s 10/10 waifu
ordo*
Honestly, Grendyl is probably Ordo Malleus
Malleus pretends to be the others Nameless
They virtually never identify themselves as Ordo Malleus
He does his best to be a supportive husband.
thats the first i have heard of that
Its super common for them to show up as other Inquisitors, or even as non Inquisition related individuals
I read up on some Ordo Malleus lore cause I was looking into refreshing my Inquisition info
They’re explicitly mentioned as hereticus by Zola
Tbf
Then again the only person who knows for sure
Is Rannick
Prolly
And even then grendyl
Malleus never identifies themselves as Malleus
Only knows the real truth
The fuck is Malleus?/s
lol
You guys need to learn to stop talking about things that do not exist.
"All sisters of battle are exactly 5 feet and 11 and 3/8th of an inch tall. Those who are naturally shorter get heels/platform shoes that will elevate their height to the Emperor's holy number, and those who are taller than that get their legs hacked off at the appropriate length."
Damn, fucked up
after deciding to make my zealot be like one of them and not knowing about warhammer

thats an interesting thing to knowq
How does a 5’3 woman fight in 8 inch heels?
Power armor
I'm 5'11" and like 8/10th of an inch T-T
By the grace of the emperor
Where the fuck is this from lol
Sisters of battle almost all wear power armor iirc
just the first result on google, didint search hard
it's imperial propaganda
likely some 4chan post
Im not saying this is cannon just searched it up and saw this and went what in thee heck
The fandom wiki?
This doesn’t sound canon
Not with modern depictions at least lol
no way in hell it is
I’ve never heard or seen this mentioned
like i said its likely from 4chan
Whats dakka even mean
wtf is dakka dakka?
Firepower
I see lots of people say it but like I said dont know warhammer at all and just like the tide games
its what the orks think gunfire sounds like
Yeah the source is bullshit lol
Even tho it fits how
Batshit insane the imperium is
It feels a bit too random and far fetched
Still lol. I’d like to see a short 5’3 woman in 8 inch heels in power armor.
Any Idea how tall I should go for or just anything?
just up to you
Yep
Now just to think of a name then
but i swear my shorty vet moves way faster than my tall characters
Short vet gaming
makes it easier to crouch infront of other vets for tactical firing
Would you rather her wear 8 inch goth platform boots?
No because it sounds just as painful lol
My goth Gf has platform boots and loves them.
Good for her
Idk. I’ll ask her about how high they go.
no way in hell they are 8 inches
Lol I’d still pay for art of this lol
fair
Like. Imagine a 4’10 sister trying to join. That’s 13 inches!!
which melta-gun is correct lore wise? the ones that shoot literal lasers that disintegrate enemies? or the space marine game one that fires blasting waves that do the same?
That isn’t a heel. It’s a stilt!!
the laser
thank you, I was hoping that was it
the space marine game is non canon in a lot of ways
just like dawn of war
and makes the game very close to canonical weapons wise and lore wise
I hate how the new game is going to be Primaris. I mean. Even in the video games none of the named characters die crossing the Rubicon.
it may but it does give primaris titus a first born jump pack sooo
Wait what the fuck.
at least I can expect cool combat against nids
ye
Yo thats the one from vemintide
That was my main gripe with the Primaris. The utter lack of backwards and forwards compatibility.
on the 3 buttons for doors
reminds me of the genestealer cultists and their praising of the "star gods" sometimes murals would depict shooting stars OR tendrils
ye one of the trailers showed him running with a firstborn style jump pack on
btw, iirc GW has made it where almost no one dies crossing the rubicon primaris now
Why even write in a risk then?
I mean it was more a risk on the onset.
They figured out how to do it safely for the younger dudes.
ye
I thought Kor'sarro Khan was old, and he crossed
Ragnar only did it because he got injured and he's still pretty young.
missed one of them
Heels and power armor would be cancer.
has anyone told him it has a high chance to kill him? he would likely jump in it faster than anyone can blink
Mephiston told him he would die if he did it
Which is why Mephiston did it instead.
Dante wanted to, but he got called off basically.
So, sorta
fucking hell, can they just let that man die already?
Idk. I feel like the Primaris should have been the new organ implants instead of inventing a new breed of astartes.
The whole idea of super-super soldiers is dumb because the Astartes and Custodes are already inconceivably resource intensive to maintain. Every single one of them (except scouts) wear power armor and wield weapons that are relics.
That's mostly what they are.
Like its said a lot that primaris are often shittier versions of Firstborn
They learn but its not a huge gamer changer.
They have a couple slight edges but skill and experience still win out.
Still. I feel like the reworks should have just been new implants, two new marks of power armor (Mark IX allowing firstborn to utilize some of the Primaris kit without forfeiting relic wargear
and Mark X new characters. New chapters. New stuff all around.
That way none of this would have been an issue.
gotta sell new models somehow..
That's what it is in lore.
There is no Mark IX though.
They skipped it.
Mark X can be integrated with their old armor.
You can see it in a ton of the new primaris models.
They just update their armor a bit.
How? Mark X uses completley different technology for larger proportions.
Backwards comparability with helmets
It doesn't, its power armor.
And armor pads
There’s the whole interlocking Ceramite rings things.
Right shoulder as well I think?
I'm not sure but a lot of his armor is super similar, just updated.
We also see stuff like Firstborn using Mark X in books, and Primaris using older armor
Its just models don't always reflect this.
But in lore, it can be extremely variable.
?
And drop pods and rhinos
Yeah
The main thing they haven't addressed is terminator armor.
Which I suspect in lore could easily just be updated for size.
oh, multiple arms
wtf?
considering how variable marines already were
Still. I really dislike the need for the writers to specify that Primaris are taller because that just makes things confusing. You’re telling me that they won’t need to rework entire fortifications to compensate for additional height?
and monolith would make since for nurgle daemons
and I thought it was enormously fat too
dont the primaris have a different armor they use that replaces terminator armor?
Gravis kinda does
wait a minute, what nurgle daemon is a monolith, has multiple arms, and is enormously fat? there isnt one that has multiple arms
But its not quite the same
And tbh I suspect they're gonna make a primaris terminator armor eventually.
Not really. Gravis doesn’t have shield generators like Terminator armor.
Did you read what I said?
I would've been alright with it if GW hadn't flipflopped between it being a super rare improvement with a high mortality rate and it being something every marine ever suddenly is.
primaris marines are stupid lore wise, but model wise I like the mark 4 design
I didn't say "Terminator and Gravis armor are the same in every way"
I said "Gravis kinda takes its place, but they're not quite the same"
Gotcha. Misread that last bit
not all terminator armor has shielding
iirc its only really cataphracti and above
Or maybe if GW weren't lazy bastards and decided "Why write lore and explain which chapters do and don't use primaris, and in what quantities, and how they deploy them in mixed or pure squads, when we can just say ever marine ever is primaris now to sell more models"
tartaros armor the superior looking terminator armor
GW needs to release more fluff books.
Saying that when cataphracti exists
Straight to heck
They desperately need to give the lore lovers a bone or two.
cataphractii too clunky for my taste
the resin imperial fists praetor actually has tartaros armor
All those chapters that have a lot of traditions and specialized gear because of their unique battlefields? Like the Carcharodons and the Consecrators. Fuck scarcity, and screw their deep traditions. Suddenly primaris.
also the word bearers praetor in tart armor looks absolutely gorgeous
The Carcharodons can't get new ships but GW will be damned if they aren't all suddenly Primaris.
Like idk. It feels like the lack of lore makes the imperium seem stronger than ever. A primarch is back. The high lords are gone.
The high lords still exist
The universe isn’t as dark anymore.
And are just as much of a shitstorm as they used to be
I like their mk5 armor
the heresy pattern armor is really cool looking
MKIV armor is unironically my favorite MK
aa
The Lion will go find Vulcan and have a stern conversation about how a dramatic entrance at the biggest battle isn't worth abandoning the Imperium.
Mostly bcs of all the legion specific varients
Mk III is the best pattern fight me.
I love mk4 armor, and I'm glad my 2 favorite legions from the horus heresy uses it
But the higlords of terra are still around and bickering
and that's Alpha Legion and Word Bearers
2 is better then 3 imo
they mostly only use mk4
To serve Gulliman. Idk. I feel like they should have received a little more of a betrayal arc than what we got
yeah i like roman look of the cata
The top one I couldnt make out, The stuff below the top line roughly translates to "Death to the false emperor"
They don’t all serve g-man ironically
They still serve their own political agendas
As I remember, a flaw in the Mk II as specified in the Death Watch core rulebook is that the maglocked boots are always on.
Best Space Marine legion
That sounds like a terrible design flaw lmao
Though that would explain why MK3 is so much more popular then 2
yes
I know, but I want to see more friction between Gman and the high lords.
Justaerin terminators are my shit dude
need a horus heresy total war
The current high lord of the official assasinorum thinks guilliman is an idiot
Fun fact
id sell my soul to slaanesh for one
any high gothic translation words?
The armor rating from the front of a Mk III set is 9 all around except for the chest, which is a 10. But from behind the armor rating is all a 6.
This is the equivalent of some sets of basic guardsman grade Carapace Armor in Only War.
Not sure. The translation was rough phonetic
Tbf those are rpg stats
Yeah
But MK3 is really durable
The thing is the chaos language phoneticly goes to english sometimes
The Mk III was great for frontal assault.
I feel like the Lion should wake up, see Gulliman solo running the Imperium and go to kill him for doing everything he meant the Codex Astartes to prevent.
Not so strong from behind. But not slacking either.
alpha legion scheme be looking great though
such as the rough translation of "Death to the false emperor"
You mean the Alpharius Legion?
I can see the O with the line through it line up with the H in death and the
not yet in the Horus Heresy
only until Dorn "kills" Alpharius is it all Alpharius
Idk. Alpharius lookin pretty fresh.
for refrence I use this for translation of the written text runes
Speaking of the rpg. My Arbites has a general higher set of armor ratings than even my Carcharodon in Mk III.
just let him nap seeing the state of imperium would be too much fuckery even for him
its phonetic
thank you, I'll try my best
Lion wakes up, retrieves a Recaf to the shock of some random ass apothecary, returns to hidden chamber as the apothecary is losing his shit.
The stuff below the top Line reads, more literally, D Ii AA tz H Tz O Tz H ii F Aa L S ii ii M Ph ii rh O rh
lol
watcher in the dark holding his enormous lion mug following close behind
He has an 8 for his head, a 7 for his right arm, a 6 for both legs, a 10 for his chest, and an 11 for his left arm. His chest and shield arm are modified by his Synford-Pattern Lockshield, and with this shield he can choose to modify his head for a 12 armor rating on his head, or his legs for a 10 on both legs.
The RPG is silly sometimes. Since you don't reach armor values like this even as Astartes, not until you're a terminator.
Reads a report “Nope. Imma give it another 8 milenia. Fuck this shit. I need my beauty sleep.”
the dot means E
so it says it fully
the top part says this though
notices the green on the apothecary's armor "why the fuck is your armor green?"
a daemon name maybe?
nargang
could be
turns out the final boss is a great unclean one with that daemon name
and he started as a nurgling
Lol
lol
If you use the daemon name generator in one of the Dark Heresy books you end up with something as obnoxiously long as this
asking lore guy here: are the other 7 home planets well known or anything? or they just kinda pick some random planets and then cadia
random planets
in the moebian sector
so did we find the name of a daemon?
with cadia being the only none moebian sector planet
we may be onto something
i c. thx
im gonna go with reversed name
I typed in the word gnaggyran, and it popped up something called Ganguan, which uses the same letters
its probably nargang
👀
wait a minute
oh my god dont tell me it's a plague marine
that it's a special plague marine
It could be a daemon?
it may be a plague marine
but Fatshark said they werent gonna add space marines, unless it was meant to be like a "oh we arent, hehehe"
Kid named GuNAaGhGhYRhAaN
chainsword man, that right there might have solved a piece of the puzzle, thanks for sending me the translation page too
we might be getting either a plague marine, that was from the plague wars, or it might be a bigger daemon
Gangrene is a plague marine apart of the Withered Hands Plague Company, and they've taken Hive Cities by making cults in secret underneath them
what the actual fuck
"Nurgle knows the truth about the universe, while other gods concern themselves on their own petty squabbles or indulge in their fleeting desires, the Grandfather sees the truth. In the end even the mightiest of realms crumble, allowing new strength rise. It is happening to your empire as well brother, the corpse of the Emperor holds humanity do...
@lime crane explain yourself
Gu N Aa Gh Gh Y Rh Aa N i think stands for gangrene
Gangrene is also a daemonically mutated plague marine, who doesnt even look like a plague marine anymore
sometimes he's confused for a plague bearer
Just bringing you up to date on findings
Gunaggyran
they arent a plague company, they are just a warband
Wait
WAIT!!
I saw runes for "chaos warband" and "chaos lord" on the same map
Gangrene is an ORK
lmao
Gangrene
The leader of the Ly-Kin thoroughly daemonically mutated were it not for his orkish way of speaking and garments, he could be confused for plaguebearer. While Ly’s Blood has suppressed much of his nature, Gangrene still falls into old habits such as getting the Ly-Kin to obsess over shiny bits and teef and he always refers to Sclerios as Warboss. Gangrene loves the Bloat Ticks (as do all the Ly-Kin) and keeps a large female known as Bitey as a pet and will constantly bring back corpses to feed her and small trinkets to “make ‘er purty”. Though under daemonic control, he still possess the raw orkish strength and ferocity he had before his corruption and revels in combat like any ork would.
he's a goddamn ork
Ok so. Uh
Keep in mind it could also just be an FS OC. I don't wanna rain on your parade, and I'm not saying you're wrong. But Bramblegut Heliburp was a nurgle sorcerer and OC, and they even had an OC grey seer of all things.
Is he a chaos lord
Because the runes for "chaos lord," "chaos weapon" and "chaos warband" show up a lot
Also, weren't chaos orks soft retconned?
On that level
lol
@cold mango youre with fatshark right. What does this meeean
"I just think he's neat"
Pretty much, yeah.
Wait. Did you say he also does chaos cults below hive cities
Tuska Daemonkilla, I think it was?
if it a plague marine though, with a different name we never heard of, I'd be genuinely surprised
....
Theres runes of the great horned rat on that level too
The space skaven are reeeeealllllll!!!!
it's just Gnaggyran doesnt sound like a plague marine name
things like Globbulous
or Pustus the Vile
Space skaven
are more plague marine names
Its a space skaven
what's the final bosses name in vermintide?
Man went on a warpath through the warp eventually hit a core world of Khorne. Proceeded to fucking butcher the daemons there, including a daemon prince. Khorne found this fucking hilarious and, as a mixture of entertainment and punishment for the prince, resurrects all the orks every day to keep fighting.
The orks absolutely love it.
Fun fact, orks actually get stronger the more they fight (Buildz up they's WAAAAAAGH enagee, yeh?). Tuska's WAAAGH!! is still there on that planet. Growing bigger and stronger every day. So that's fun.
god, it reminds me of the War of the Beast
to think it took a singular Krork 2 years to almost destroy the entire galaxy is insane
Was The Beast a Krork? I thought he was very close but just about stopped, no?
Which frankly is even more terrifying
he was near the levels of being a Krork, basically there
now imagine billions of krork and prime eldar duking it out with necrons
if it wasnt for his intelligence, and knowing of his psychic powers
man human is small fry
the Beast was gonna turn into a full on Krork using pure waaaaagh energy
and was gonna make more
but if it wasnt for Vulkan, he would've succeeded too
Grey seer rasknitt
ah, yeah, I was thinking maybe the name is an easter egg to vermintide
but I suppose not
whats the most silly at first but super grim and horrible at second glance thing in 40k in your opinion?
aos is full of stuff liek taht and its great
I thought "this couldnt possibly exist, this is dumb" and realized "oh... oh my god"
and it's the daemonculabra
made by the Iron Warriors
Fucks the dasmonculabra
oh, oh god
oh fucking god you dont know
I uhm.. dont recommend looking it up
it's messed up for 40k standards
and I think it would count as NSFW here
if I went more in depth
Ill take your word for it
But yeah death to the false emperor is showing up a lot. Saw it tattood onto an enemy in the meatgrinder
it pops up a lot
but the issue is, usually only chaos space marines would scream something like that, I suppose cultists too?
Orks
I guess Trazyn could fit in that category too, but he's more just funny anyway
for funny but grim
Also Trazyn, yes. But also Trazyn is mostly just a spiteful dickhead. What an asshole. I love him.
Honestly 40k has situations which are grim but to such an extent they can seem morbidly comedic
Like rats being considered fine cuisine in the hive cities is a common joke
Has? That's the norm! The setting is so grim it's funny
Yeh
I mean it takes itself somewhat seriously but in places its so over the top its...
So do comedies, or they're not very funny!
Its grimdark comedy
Like there is good, serious writing in 40k. But the universe itself is extremely dumb the moment you take a step back and actually look at it.
pfffff. That's a great explanation
I also apply that to chainsaw man
Its dark and goes into serious things and is horrid. But is simultaneously extremely silly
But back on topic. Whomstve be the Kid named GuNAaGhGhYRhAaN
also keep in mind though
nurglings are heralds of nurgle
and worshipped by even plague marines
so it could actually be a nurgling
that's growing in power
waking up an eldritch horror just to spite your sixty million year long nemesis
Theres also been runes for plaguebearer scattered around
And chaos weapon runes
which is scarier than any plague marine
Also for a bit of a shitpost we had an unfortunate situation with a certain chaos rune similarity
imagine just sending a genestealer to inconvenience him, and it creates a cult on a world causing an exterminatus
what is it?
that's weird
why is there a mark of slaanesh cultist, maybe chaos undivided at one point?
it looks faded
the fact that he had to explain his trolling to the necron high council is even funnier
there's a normal chaos icon above it
"erm yes I was...trolling dear Orikan"
lmao, I love Necrons
Anyways it could be where the stamp of the purity seal was torn off
But them being a slaaneshi spy is much funnier
I'm glad this game taught me nightsiders exist.

More stories
weshammer?
mmm
short video man, I wish him no ill
Also uh
yeah idk who this is but he provides good lore im new to this universe
Ok so whats the controversy with archwarhammer and other lore channels
Bro james workshop created an entire library to publish their hundreds of lore and fluff books
edgy man, his discord screenshots are something else
fluff books? where is this library i can access
black library
what is that exactly
Well it's a storefront for their books but also thats what they call their published warhammer books
there's a lot, many out of print sadly
I can tbelieve the scab gunners a slaaneshi spy
He's just an asshat, but he's so loveable.
@vocal drum
the lore...is very deep
I'd argue only star wars can match them in sheer output probably
so much stuff
what happened to that one overpowered tyranid that ate like a bunch of elder souls and killed a bunch of armies
did someone kil it or is it out there still?
@crisp heathfor sure i'll check it out
meet the spy
I think they're Chaos Undivided which explains this, you see the symbolism everywhere
wait isnt six also slaanesh's number
yes
also are chaos gods from the warp? if so can they ever leave and join their followers and lead a war on a aglaxy?
also wow
They manifested in the warp from the energies of the younger psychically awakened races
theres people that actually live in the warp?
It's important to remember that the warp and realspace aren't exactly two distinctly different realms, they used to be one until the C'tan walled off the warp to fight against the Old Ones.
https://tenor.com/view/tyranids-gif-25670393 can any lore experts confirm
if this is legit
Not sure what the question is lol
AoC just worsens AP value
Mortal wounds ignore it
mortal wounds also ignore invulns
and also, yeah, tyranids have a shit ton of mortal wound spam
it's called neurothropes, zoanthropes, maleceptor, and last but not least
reaper of obliterax relic
on a flyrant
Sort of. There’s the Eye of Terror which is a warpstorm/rift “people” live inside of
Yup. They’re there too
also similar to real life storms the severity varies depending on where you are. Some areas are "fit" for habitation while others would tear non warp entities apart
one of my buddies has a adverse reaction to seeing a tyranid prime, since i've abused him with it in multiple 40k video games.
the warp sounds more intense than the force
Yep.
its like every emotion in a vacuum
the force but for assholes
If you were to visit the Immaterium/warp where chaos lives these are the plains you’d generally be wandering
But let's not go into the 40k vs {other scifi universe} hole 😂
no wonder people go crazy using its power but whatever happened to that one OP tyranid pyker
that ate all those souls
he ate an infinity circuit
wow imagine that returned it has powers of warp + all those souls
Probs taking a nap somewhere
The nids are supposed to be
Absurdly strong
They’re the potential doom of the galaxy
necrons can stop them tho easily i bet
I mean
Yeah if they stopped fighting each other
And backstabbing each other
For political reasons
Basically everyone could “win” or do way better without faction infighting
do tyranids fight eachother too?
Eldar could probably fix a lot of their shit if Vect wasn’t an asshole
Yes
Hive fleets basically just decide whose better
i thought they dont speak english/words tho?
necrons can barely deal with the screaming green retards
They don’t really
how do they talk then?
They don’t
Nids don’t talk
except for orks cause orks is best (and infighting is how they function)
And whoever survives was better
They do scream and roar
Kinda, but they also would be absurdly powerful if they all convened
But yeah it’s also the antithesis to their point
Nids go nom nom nom
See: War of the Beast
Good thing is that will never happen
It not only wrecks everyone
we are veering dangerously close to bringing up the War of the Be-shit
But it also ruins the writing
That happened before the nids arrived though
Destroys the narrative
So I'm very curious to see orks vs nids
And they did a lot more
bringing up war of the beast is illegal
Octarius
we had the orks vs the nids
so who would really be the stronges if they worked together and had all their armies at max power
But the nids killed the war boss
Necrons
By far
was swarmlord sent into the octarius war
Yeah
And it decapitated the overfiend of octarius
how do they kil gods tho
and prime eldar and krork was insanely OP
The Necrons?
didn't necrons almost die to the krork
They’ve killed gods before lol
how can technology kil gods , yes
Only because they shattered the C’tan
They were severely weakened
So they just went to sleep
Idk but the Necrons did it
They killed a C’tan
They killed the old ones
And they managed to fight the eldar gods
they made the c'tan and then unmade the c'tan
They shattered the rest of the C’tan
Because killing that one guy
Damaged reality irreparably
So they stopped
magic is just science we don't understand and necrons know all the science
What spawns first from Ork spores, Orks or Gretchin?
It might as well be magic
Squigs
This. It's not even close.
Necrons were by far the strongest race at their peak
Second strongest would be a contest between eldar and orks
Then humanity in 4th
that's a part of their shtick though. necrons are crazy powerful but insane and mostly very sleepy
Yeah
Reminder the Necrons are like... Barely awake right now.
Weakest race at their peak would be tau just by virtue of how young they are
The Tau do have the power to make combat so boring the Orks don't want to do it anymore
The solution is to throw a Rok at them.
Gods aren't immortal in 40k
We've sorta discussed this here before but it seems that even the nature of a god in 40k is really jsut an exceedingly powerful being.
You could kill Perpetuals still
Perpetuals can have their souls erased
that takes a whole lot though
Fulgurite
Or be given a final death via other means
Vulkan is a weird one
Yeah, sure, but still not 100% immortal or invulnerable
is Vulkan alive? it depends on how GW feels
I'm sure it took a whole lot to kill C'tan and Old Ones too
if he's relevant to the plot
And it's sure taking a whole lot to kill slaanesh
there isn't much distinction though between god and super powerful warp entity
Exactly. Or even just super powerful entity.
C'tan cant die though, they had to be broken into shards
C'tan were gods but weren't in the warp.
yeah that's true
and C'tan shards cant die
we dont know what happens to them when they're defeated though
They killed the Flayer
Who cursed them with the flayer virus
because C'tan shards can be defeated, but they arent necessarily dead
oh, that's terribly inconsistent
but that's GW lore for ya
yeah
just looked it up
he was "utterly obliterated"
gotta love inconsistent lore
just ask 20 authors if a lasgun has recoil
cough cough alpha legion
All that indicates is that it takes a lot to kill a C'tan, and the necrontyr only succeeded once.
and I love GW's excuse is though
Don't think the lore ever stated that they can't be completely wiped out
"all the stories are canon, it's just if they're true or not"
and proceeds to retcon a shit ton of stuff
I thought I saw it somewhere
must be old lore
like usual
IIRC the Blackstone Fortresses were built by Vaul to destroy the C'tan
By targeting the stars they inhabited
the c'tan dont inhabit stars anymore
they are slaves to the necrontyr
or well, the necrons
Yeah, but before that
blackstone fortresses never exist in the war in heaven
or not that I know of
I thought blackstone fortresses were created by chaos
after the whole horus heresy
abaddon built them to enhance psychic powers
as blackstone can both diminish and enhance psychic powers
Nope
it's why he went out searching for blackstone, and wanted Cadia, to take the pylons for himself
Abaddon captured 3 in the Gothic War
who the hell made blackstone fortresses then?
After the Crone gave him a vision to capture the Hand of Darkness and one other artifact
To control them
The blackstone fortresses aren’t chaos creations
also is it possible to conquer the warp? could tyranids conquer it and like eat the biomass there?
As far as we know
Here's a hint - they're also called the Talismans Of Vaul 😉
No
ah, eldar god
no biomass in the warp
it's why hive fleet kronos exists
Yeah, suspicion is Old Ones built it, too little too late.
daemons arent made of biomass
it's just a c'tan doesnt use psychic powers
or anything that blackstone would otherwise effect it
and necrons are just made of blackstone
Uhhhh
so why make the fortresses to begin with
No, necrons aren't made of the same Blackstone stuff
what is that? a hive fleet of tyranids in the warp or something?
no, they just deal with daemons
Necrons were with the C'tan against the Old Ones and the Younger Races
they are made of blackstone though
noctilith
and even their tomb worlds
are made of this stuff
pylons are made of it
it's literally what the whole setting of the indomitus box set of 9th edition was about, the admech getting blackstone from necrons to study it
and the space marines were sent out
I think they used the same term but weren't the same materials
that's dumb, so there's 2 different types of blackstone
because necron blackstone limits warp powers
It might be the same material
as known by the pylons
It makes no sense that the Old Ones would use a material thats anathema to them.. In a warp-based weapon.
It can be used to amplify it as well
but it can also enhance warp powers
Blackstone is dual purposed
It can either be used to strengthen the warp
Or nullify it
even when c'tan wouldnt be effected cause they arent warp based
They were blowing up sun's the C'tan used to sustain themselves
I wouldn’t take Dakka Dakka as canon
Unless they have a source
C'tan dont like the suns anymore though
it's why they ate the old ones souls and the necrontyr souls
I guess before then
Agreed, but this one seemed unanimously agreed enough for me to believe it
if they were blowing up suns that makes sense
were necrons like humanoids before their metal form or something?
but when they got the living metal bodies
(I used to be a dakka dakka regular for many years, if dakka agreed on something it's probably right)
yeah they were
Fair enough lol
they were the necrontyr
Too many "but actually" people 😂
the lore of warhammer 40k is like I said, a convoluted nightmare
no one can agree with anything
even GW cant agree with their own lore
There was a joke in the early 2010s that if you wanted the source material quoted and thrown in your face, you intentionally made a post that was very wrong. And someone would correct you.
Lmfao
welcome to the 40k rabbit hole
With a name like that I dunno what they expected

lmao
yeah, C'tan ate off sun energy, they dont like big frog people, I'm assuming big frog people didnt like them either and blew up suns? before the necrontyr got all hissy when frog people didnt grant them immortality
Ahahah when did old ones become frog people
and the necrontyr made living metal bodies after discovering the c'tan, c'tan got addicted to souls after a necrontyr died because haha cancer planet
idk, memes
I call them frog people for the memes
because so many people call them that
they be frogges now
Lololol
but yeah, c'tan likes souls, the deceiver made a deal with the silent king szarekh to make them immortal
blah blah, made them into war machines, blah blah, ate their souls
and whole war in heaven happened, frog people made eldar and krorks to fight them, still lost, c'tan ate almost all the old ones souls, the rest most likely fled to the immaterium or something we dont know
It's like the thousand sons didn't learn from their mistake centuries later :p
Szarekh then fought the C'tan cause they were full of souls and didnt expect it
Necrons broke the C'tan into shards, enslaved them, then went nappy time until now in the 42nd millennium
silent king sent them to sleep and banished himself into deep space far outside the galaxy for his mistake
came back because of the Tyranid threat
done, end of story
im so lost
unless you're a mega nerd you would be
they really didnt, now Ahriman is just going out to try and fix his mistakes
That sounds familiar too
lmao
it's sad and funny how gf of robutt girlyman yvraine decided to just turn a rubric into a thousand son in front of ahriman, and chuck the dude into the webway
wha
lore of the thousand sons, my favorite 40k chaos space marine legion
the ahriman books are pretty good, I recommend them
they gave him breastplate nipples
where is a good place to start with the lore?
uuuuuh
the Infinite and the Divine
Yvraine storyline is a big wtf
I always recommend this book because I love it so much

00:00 Chap...
I dont even know it lol, I just know that one thing from the Ahriman lore
oh the story of Big E
i love the tyrranids and the tau
the worst father ever
Man was like "Damn I did a lil fucky wucky"
it's a great story on what to NOT to do as a father figure
"oops, that was not cash money of me"
The biggest social commentary of 40k ever - bad parenting
Not about tyranny, bureaucracy, hypocrisy, nope. It's about bad parenting.
my friend is mean when it comes to 40k lore, when someone asks him what book to read or story for warhammer, he sends them the site to the daemonculabra, and I just tell him "you really know how to drive people away from this hobby dont you?"
Hahahahaahahahah
whats that?
no
o k
Is the next thing he recommends the Inquisition War series?
slaps, bad, dont ask, dont read
damn
he really does love the most fucked stories.. and yes, yes he does
tyranid stuff isnt that bad
tyranid lore summed up is just "we came to this planet, ate it, and left"
Nom nom
it's the manner of which they absorb and kill you
and drukhari stuff makes those things look like child's play
And then they took a bit of a nap in between
And macrophages eating away at your DNA via the air!
yay! :D
I remember there was one bit of lore in the Octarius War that was like.. Even ork microspores were fighting with nid macrophages at the molecular level
druhkari really just built different... and their furniture is.. built different...
They're different ok
Mom-dad slaanesh said so
the universes smallest war happening
dont mention she who thirsts or he who thirsts
whichever one slaanesh decides to be that day
Khorne is rapidly approaching your destination
there was one time
Trazyn casually mentions Drukhari torture to a cryptek in his service, getting him to break the vow of his order. They scared soulless robots
Wat
isnt there a story where Druhkari tried to torture a Necron?
Ahahahahah
