Chimera's are honestly too expensive and squishy for what they bring to the table. Yes, they can protect a squad of Infantry a little bit, but for the same price you can add more infantry regardless, and your average opponent will cut through Chimera armour in mere moments.

Sadly enough it's just not efficient :/

A basilisks rolls 2d6 and takes the highest of the two for a max of 6 shots, manticores roll 2d6 and keep both

Also the manticore has access to a +1 to hit strat I guess but it requires line of sight

But shortly after, this store closed, and since this was the only available store with vostroyans in my country, I obviously couldn’t get any more. But I needed more troops so I just bought 3 squads of standard cadians. Now I have an army with mixed Cadian and vostroyan troops. So here is the questions: can I play with troops from different regiments? Should I combine them into 1 regiment with custom regimental doctrine, or i am free to use the Cadian or vostroyan one?

current matchplay rules don't allow mixed subfactions in different detachments but if you're not playing competitively you ought to be able to have an mixed army

also you can just say those are cadians as well

In short theyre lasguns, not lasers. he send a condensed beam, with kenetic mass, which pushes against air resistance, causing recoil. if they were high powered lasers, the target would melt.
