š® that is a data entry in the Votann!
Honestly I think Guard actually isnt that bad rn but theyre being hard carried by Hammer
They actually might be better than some early 9e armies now LMAO
oh i know, ive played them
we just have very few viable options
and most are more expensive than the value you get out
Pretty much the crusher stampede problem where it carries the codex but cant rlly do much else
cause ive now played uh
When nids were still 8e
IG, GSC and admech
against eldar, orks, tau and SoB
oh and DG and necrons
and from playing IG, they are kinda fun but you have no options (except cadia who got a dedicated update to have more stratagems) and most of your units are worse point for point (excluding standard infantry, which i actually rate with the new flat 60 cost)
playing GSC and the achilles having more survivability and comparable dmg at half the cost

dude
ridge runners n jackals are so fun
all i used
the closest i get as guard is like
spending 1cp to take a specialist regiment
Oh yes
also armour of content means even with hammer of the emporer, good luck wounding anyone running marines
Do u play irl or tts
tts
but the lasgun isnt gonna wound most marines even on auto wounds
And yeah Armor of contempt is rlly annoying because it was meant to balanced against super lethal recent armies but fucks over everyone else
76 lasgun shots
on a half health conscript blob
15 auto wounded on the bloodletters

Played into that as GSC and just ended up melting them with handflamer trucks
but again, gotta run cadians for that to work out
+sanctus oneshotting the commissars for Assassinate/morale fucking
I guess it makes sense for conscript blobs?
Since otherwise morale might actually matter
Ive been playing alot more AoS lately and god morale is so much better in it
Its actually important LMAO
considering you only lose extras on a 1, and the commissar only lets you reroll but you still lose the first model on a fail
If the blob drops below half you lose them on 2s
gotta lose 15 boys for that
Which is p likely
Forgot u could merge
the dream: 240 shot conscript barrage
I should run spooky drooky into it some time
Its a big meme that does nothing against most armies
-2(or 3) on attirtion checks if it goes well
ye guard are weak to morale stuff
or well
they are weak to everything
but morale is intended
Yee problem is morsle suggs so
Even armies weak to it dont care much unless conscript blobd
Blobs
yup
and even then, if you are cadians and spend the cp
the conscripts have standard IG morale
In AoS, morale is just one roll
1d6+killed models
Every point over bravery is a lost model
Wayyy more meaningful
Ive won games by scaring off rat ogres
if they brought that in i'd probably actually use commissars again
as it is atm they are just nice bait for assassins
Yep LMAO
Its also better in AoS because ignoring morale is alot more rare/or has to be a command point used(which are less plentiful)
Meanwhile like
Every army in 40k has some kind of ignore morale modifiers
Lmao or marines who just do it innately
Dont the necrons have like leadership 10 across the board
how do you make an undead robot rout?
but they dont die so why run away lol
The Warriors aren't really sentient per se
tbch it sounds like a game mechanic for balancing and nothing else
Yeah Big Ld but if you kill over 4 can still be effected
Hm ok
Wdym I was with you
Also why are you a Jeanstealer
Why do you value denim so much
because their reconstruction protocols aren't perfect
you lose a little bit of yourself each time, both in body and soul
oh lol
So, question for everyone. If someone were to come up with a new tabletop model game, any genre, how would you guys feel if the "models" involved were more of a toy, with the game baked in on the side? As in figures could be individually posed, vehicles could be opened up to seat them, et cetera.
Some models would probably be sold pre-painted, but others could be blank and easy to disassemble for painting?
I mean I'd happily accept a fuckin lego tabletop
Smolsurge
Lmao yea thats a great model
I never thought I'd ever say that of a 40k mini, but... that gun looks way too big
Hey who was that guy who basically only made red corsairs? They are probably getting their own like sub faction rules in the new chaos codex
Huron Blackheart?
I mean in thsi server
I wanna tell him the good news about the red corsiars
Fuck I canāt remember his username
@lapis tundra This person?
lol
Woah hello yes
i'm hoping that chaos marine codex cover art that was leaked was real. it looks so good
which one was that
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5N7fUUkyZCM&t=44s it was in this video. potato cam as well so that's what makes me think it was faked
More chaos today! Let's take a look at the new codex cover...

F...
Yep that looks like a codex cover
also that axe guy was in uh
warcom news page awhile back
looks like hes the centerstage person for the artwork
and looks like its Lewis Jones
that guy loves spikes
i'm hoping csm get a lot of love with their new book, but please god do not let them be broken. i want to be welcome at the game tables
who would guys say is the most op so far?
for sure
but thankfully it was a quick fix
tyranid zoanthrope spam looks like it might become a huge problem now though
also
How's that? I've not studied the new Nid codex that well yet
also unpopular opinion but i do like that squats look like a bit more generic sci-fi. it's somewhat refreshing compared to everything else in 40k
cries in Van Saar
@brisk vapor i believe it has to do with how they stack pluses to cast with smite
i haven't looked too closely
so you can get hella lot of smites off in a single turn?
BigBrain nids with Maleceptors+zoans drop a absolute gigajillion smites which do d3+3 per zoan
there we go
per unit of zoans*
as a wise man once said, it just works
as a wise man once said "GW doesn't playtest their rules"
or more likely they do, and they don't care
Maleceptors also do like a d3 of mortal wounds in a aura when they cast
50 per model so a unit of 3 is 150
okay it's semi cheap
It's them + the Neurothrope lets them heal when they deal a mw
It's
ALOT of dmg output
because they can also cast another spell after, which could be psychic scream
It's also not all of your army
d3+3 MWs per unit of 3 zoans + a maleceptor who can also smite+do d3 mw in a aura
Any amount of MWs is alot because very little can actually ignore MW, it's just 'true damage'
isn't there a rule that makes smites harder to do if you repeat it in a single phase
Yeee
game balance is so fucked this edition
well I dunno, I think the balance has been pretty good for most of the edition
Yeah 9e rlly isn't bad, it's just usually when some codices come out they have like one bork aspect before they get nerfed in a week
there has been a couple outliers
i'm more so jaded because i deal with a lot of the borked combos first-hand
yeah mostly issues with rule synergies overlooked by the playtesters
which get fixed quite quickly after the codex drops
i also might not have as much an issue with the books themselves, and more that once next edition drops sometime next year most likely all the books with be obsolete again. editions should last more than 3 years for this style of game
Ur book will only be obsolete when the next version of your book comes out
Not when the edition drops
you get my point
It feels like planned obsolescence, tbh
it is planned obsolescence
It's hard to argue for a actively-changing game
It'd be like saying dlc you bought for a game that gets nerfed is obsolete
It's why I got out of the table top years ago. Only... Now Kill Team is looking like a lot of fun
Eh. Kill Team got a reboot in 2021, right? And already it seems like a lot of what's printed in the Compendium is outdated
Nah most of the compendium armies are still played
The only one I can think of that isnt is Harlequins which got voidweaver troupe in a white dwarf
Yeah, but there's a bunch of addendums to the Compendium, right?
I think admech got a white dwarf one too, but the old one is still legal
thousand sons as well
and genestealer cults as well
Yee
But the old GSC is still playable
not obsolete
It's just they ALSO got a white dwarf team
Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping to start my Adeptus Custodes team soon, but I'm holding out till next week at least to see if they release an updated Compendium
They won't, you'll have to look at the faqs
The compendium was there just to bring all of the rest of the factions "up to speed" with the new edition. The main deal is with the named squads for each factions which are more in tuned with the new playsystem
I doubt the compendium is ever getting touched since it's just a "you can play your old kill teams!" book until the rest get actual named teams
Outside of rules faqs
And yeah, as Jerko said
The main thing to know for Custodes is they are now APL 3 instead of 4 +I believe one of their tactics got changed
all marine squads aside from tacticals got a model boost as well going up from 5 in a unit to 6
Yeah you can find all that stuff in the faqs
Hmm, all Marines? That means a friend and I can no longer go halfsies on a cheap 10 Marine box and both get a second team for 20ish bucks
Ah well, I was going 2 Custodes + 5 Sisters anyway
And the new Orks are a lot 'better' than the Compendium ones, right?
Yeah that's p much the tradition
The new,s pecial teams tend to be better than compendium ones
except troupe/void dancer-troupe and custodes esp on release
Custodes were like just broken as fuck
not sure if they still are
Yeah, I almost decided against Custodes because I read they were so broken, but it seems like they're fairly middle of the pack now
Maybe better isn't always true in terms of the special teams but the special boxed teams are definitely always more interesting
In terms of rules and such
the chaos marine team in particular is super cool
i split the nachmund box simply for that team
Eh, if I buy a box of Custodes and a box of Sisters I can run either full Custodes or 2 Custodes + 5 Sisters. That'll be enough to shake it up every now and then
Yeah I might even pick up the new CSM KT box once it's sold separately
the upgrade kit is GOOD
wanna paint them all as separate legions though
Just gotta find some cool 3D printed parts to modify the base models a bit. Friend has a great resin printer and I get to make use of it
Anyway, since you guys seem to play KT, thoughts on the starter set?
Friend of mine is probably buying that one, and I'll be picking up the Compendium, so that way we'll have access to pretty much all the base rules, right?
yes. i believe the starter set will have the basic rules for teams included.
if you can somehow find the octarius box set still, i recommend going for that over the starter set however
it has a bunch of terrain plus the full rules for the teams plus the core book and all the tools for the game
I think we found that one for ā¬140 somewhere
those big box sets are always a super good deal
Wait.. there's a starter set with Space Wolves in it?
Living lightning!
nice. going for a slaanesh marine look i presume?
Yea. weird we have very little in the way of official models that fit their modern discription
So we know that squats and chaos marines will be 40k day next week. so aside from slaves to darkness, what do you think will be on AoS day?
Its kinda hard to tell since all the leaks so far have been new chaos warriors havent they?
This is more speculation than anything
So go crazy with theories
I personally think we see new skaven stuff since they are overdue for an update
i just wanna see that new ig stuff
I think there was some Sylvaneth Symbols on some of the banners in the teaser image
Yeee
The current asumption is Sylvaneth vs Skaven
Because: Sylvaneth banners in background
+Clan rats/plague rats getting reboxed got leaked
Slaves to Darkness aren't until winter so
Look, man.
The Crab is sullied by the inclusion of any weapon that uses ammo.
Friend has been working on a dnd campaign and I am really tempted to bring back my Alcoholic Half Elf Alchemist for it.
If I wasn't brewing my own booze I was making flash bangs, molotovs, super glue, and rapidly expanding foam wall potions.
for god sakes I won the god of wines bag of holding from a bar fight in our last campaign
And thatās why I make sure my character is far away from the possible blast radius.
One wrong hit then⦠BOOM.
I will never forget when my party used up my entire stash of flashbangs to take out a camp of slavers... just flashbangs thrown everywhere
I think the dm made everyone roll at disadvantage for the rest of the encounter to say we were all nearly permanently blinded due to that
Lol
I just realized I havenāt play DND in years. I wonder if I still have my old character tucked away in some box.
pretty much... things did also get pretty funky when someone in our party decided to go full jihadi and kamikaze with a bunch of explosives on them against a boss. actually that was a lie, they were more accurately THROWN into the boss with a bunch of explosives strapped to them.
ok wtf is that cuz it looks awesome
A get getting flashed?
Michael bay transformers movie
Lol
oh i dont remember that seen
fortunately neither do I, but I do remember the visual style of those movies unfortunately
Ok someone strapped explosives on them. Then his buddy threw him at the boss?
yup
Sounds like DND in a nutshell.
full on ooga dooga style
picked up the annoying wizard/ rouge style player and yeeted him at the boss.
typical barbarian gameplay
The only thing they are good at besides being a meat shield
we had a period of time we were larping as ambush predators because we had some special gas mask made so we could see in thick fog, and I used that to make smoke screen cannisters to toss everywhere
This scene happened a lot with the barbarian just appearing behind bandits
was funny as shit
the way that campaign ended for my character was something, retired with my (totally not Irish or Scottish in terms of temper) elven apprentice to become the master of the merchant guild and to start my own distillery.
If I remember correctly I ended the story of one of my characters in a blaze of glory.
Hmm⦠I could resurrect that old man and make him a death knight or something.
the campaign was absolutely a meth fueled dream
I could make a story of how he returned from the grave because of a Necromancers or something.
because my character somehow came into the possession of an army of sentient self replicating Nutcracker soldiers, a goblin butler named Bizwix, a genie, and a crystal sword that grew in power the more I insulted my enemies.
you ever seen Samurai Jack?
I am now hearing a drunken elf screaming every insult they know.
just Imagine the Scots man from that
and you get a good Idea of what was involved
next character I made was a bit more... boring? Again another half-elf, but this one wanted to track down the lich that "killed" the party in the first main encounter and make a xylophone out of it's ribcage
and that character ended up the king of the nearly decimated elven kingdom after most of the royal family was murdered and the princess betrayed her family and people, my pc was the only member of the royal court to survive and had dedicated his life to restoring the kingdom and waging a 3 way war against the demons and celestials.
I will share this fun little story from that campaign, my pc was a gravity controlling mage and he inadvertently crushed a party member with a giant man eating squirrel and this caused them to slowly transform into a were squirrel.
Man I have completely forgotten how much in-depth lore you can do in DND
I have a whole setting ready to go in the back of my mind if I ever get asked to try dming for my friends. although coming up with alternative story lines to generally follow is a bitch
I may just use the character Ive been creating for my book I have been writing.
Pantheon? check. BBEG? Check. Lore? check. A plotline? kinda.
the campaign I had in mind would have the party start off doing average jobs and ease them into the setting until one job was a bit different from the normal ones.
they'd catch the back end of something going on, and would be asked to alert the guild what they saw. this would lead into a series of events that would see the party go from the C team to maybe the B team or the A team. make them really earn that protagonist role.
So they are in the wrong place at the wrong time then?
they would be asked to explore some ruins and just before they get into the final chamber they would see something magic related going on. to sum it up, a servant of a primordial dark god will have his servant possess the corpse of an ancient hero king to serve as the vessel of his will until near the end of the campaign he will devour the servants soul and become reborn in the possessed body and reshape it to resemble his original form.
the servant after possessing the body would teleport out of the chamber and that is what the party will see.
The entity laughs. āWe knew eachother all those years ago but I donāt think youāll remember my name however, you may call me⦠Omicron. That is all.ā The thiefās body begins to cough up blood as what ever was controlling him kills him.
ā¦
This is a sample of what Iāve been working on.
nice
The Pantheon of my setting had a theme of "balance" in a sense, each god had an opposite that balanced them out nearly perfectly.
one of my favorite examples of this is "Ashra: the twin lover gods of war and peace". The thing about Ashra is that there is two gods named Ashra, Lord Ashra the god of war and conquest, and Lady Ashra the goddess of peace and prosperity. they symbolized the "dance" of periods of conflict and peace that covered the lands.
I hate twin characters because they can be so confusing.
I cannot figure out whoās who at all.
in their case it is the concept they represent that is important, which is the cycle of war and peace.
That is always important. The balance of war and peace is always the key of any story.
yeah, and Ashra was just a "minor" god in my pantheon
in their case at least, minor meant they were relatively young for god standards, seeing as they were born After the great war against the primordials
Can we change the subject my brain is starting to shut down because of all this lore talk.
yeah... I kinda start spouting off stuff that I work on as a hobby without really thinking and it just comes out like a mad mans ramblings.
Same Iām barely holding back the storm that is my book Iām writing. I usually vent all the things I have done so far to my buddy who is doing the artwork.
But sadly he is on vacation.
hope that goes well when he gets back.
He said he had a rough sketch of the main character. Whom Iāve named after my discord username.
and if I can get a chance to try dming after our next campaign, I will more then likely have a cliff note version of setting info they will need to remember, and anything else can be some deep lore they can read at their leisure if they want to get invested in the rping aspect.
Or was it a city? I donāt remember.
because I know my friends have the attention span of a goldfish and remembering more then 2-4 names is a challenge for them.
Lol
Warhammer Fest is this week! Get all the details of how you can see all of the big reveals as they're shown off. https://t.co/umyeYWYapB #WarhammerCommunity #WarhammerFest2022
neat
also that looks like a primaris beakie helmet next to the chest š
you had me at beakie and then I clicked
Ooh
definetly more consistent on detail than other recent arts
like, i can actually see faces and details of things that arent centre focus
For the most part all of the codex cover art has been amazing
yes, improvement
He also made this one
which is pretty much my all time favourite DG interpretation
i think he likes spikes
Tho!~
a lil ounce if ye will
just a prick
to note

chaos marines want to stab things onto their armor constantly
so i dont hate it at all
its what i assume a slaaneshi marine would use to hang several humans from
i don't mind it honestly other than like
when they start looking like a porcupine
also i'd say it depends, i can see some slaanesh CSM keeping immaculate, smooth armour
I love the idea of a spiky chaos marine just slamming into some guards men and getting some corpse shields
the future will sting ya
To be fair it looks metal as fuck
Another really great modern Warhammer artist is Phil Moss, a bit similar in style but a bit 'cleaner'
This is what 40k artwork must be.
i actually don't like this art piece or the others in its style
they lose too much of the detail for things not in focus
š
no, but that doesn't mean you should give up drawing the rest half way through
often these artworks get cropped for the final release as well
this Necron codex art for example
except these don't, cause i remember that admech one
im not surprised they crop it
he doesn't finish his art
I wouldn't want that on my book either
He doesn't finish areas that he knows will be cropped
that's perfectly fine though
but holy shit
it gets so bad
i miss old detailed 40k artwork
probably one of the worst offenders
these people are centerfront

I think the flame is alright but the face is oddly blurred
Marshal the Knights of the stolen planet Korvosi with this tutorial for painting the fearsome, mist-shrouded House Korvax ā Be'lakor designed, Be'lakor approved.

it has AI generated vibes
wtf is the quality control of this video
is it missing an entire third for anyone else?
Well it's not missing, there's just extra 5 minutes of nothing
yeah that
trying out a new scheme for my bonereapers
Tasty
not sure I like the dark blue armour, anyone think white or grey armour would look better?
grey could be neat too
white isa hrd
but you can do it off-white?
yeah sorry that is what I meant, more of a very light grey
but do you reckon it would look good?
Something something radiant heat affecting the air something
probably š
Slow progress
They are evolving
Vallejo basing paints are way tastier than gw ones
I can tell from personal experience
Iām painting word bearers Knowing thereās unfinished parts i will go back and fix them but how does it look so far
it looks good
if you want a tip for how i paint my chaos marines. i start with a krylon red oxide primer and then all i need is 1 coat of red to complete that part of the basecoat
the original chaos spawn art from way back
serious nightmare fuel. i'd love to see someone make a 3d printable version inspired by that
old black and white 40k art had some serious spooky vibes
sup it's biden
every so often i look at this art and think "maybe i should start a white scars force"
Just remember to use a very bright grey/ivory for the plates, and only use titanium white for highlights.
I hope you are including plenty of bikes and other such vehicles to go full speed
i'm not actually making a white scars force. it's just a thought i have now and again
Some quick metallics
i want this
for 120⬠one can be yours
well, you'd also need like $80 or equivalent for creed and the infantry squad
oh I just automatically ignored the guard infantry
Good. It lets them live longer
hey so, chaos emperors children, im planning to have my CL in terminator armor as a main damage dealer, ive got the artifacts and stuff i want on him but idk what models i should have body guard him.
besides more terminators
Termies are about the only thing I could recommend other than maybe possessed.
mmm yewha
why the fuck are chaos bikers sold out online?
reboxing
ohhHh okay i was really concerned people were gonna run chaos bikers
Potentially a new model sculpt
unless its been shown it doesnt get pulled from the website beforehand
so no
some iron hand bois
These are my guardsmen so far. I messed up on the commander but I just made him look like he got burnt instead with some dabbling on his face so it looks like scaring. (I used the wrong skin shade)
looking good
thnx
based them off the 92nd firebrands infantry regiment
ny goal is to have a full regiment
which according to the codex
which is 270 rifleman, 50 command troops, 20 commisars and 9 orgryn plus a primaris syker
Nice minis, also I see you adding pockets on the plasma user's pants
Guess I mistook it for something else
lol its ok
im kitbashing with his head
each company will have a sgtmaj so hes going to be one of the unique ones
i still have a long way to go with them i only have two rifle squad and a command squad so far
i need to get another squad so i have my first platoon
Gl with your regiment ! Got any vehicles you wanna paint in mind ?
Or going full infantry ?
im doing a infantry regiment first then start with a armored regiment
both me and my bf have a plan were doing with a few irl friends having a complete war game
its where we have our seperate groups so i have 2 full guards regiments while maybe my bf would have the same or perhaps have space marines in support of my guard and then go up against the other two friends massive ork or tyranid horde
the goal is to have this huge battle
something that feels more like a real warhammer 40k battle than just a small engagement
Hmmā¦.
the moustache is the finishing touch on this
without it, it'd still be good, but it wouldnt be the same
Nah thats true, its a proper leak
he has the sideway spines with skulls at the end of them like the O.G model
supposedly they might be splitting the 40k daemon prince and the AoS daemon prince into separate boxes. don't know if that's true but i think it would be a good choice
i saw that
???
fell victim to traditional GW painters over detailing of the face
Lel
And here i was hoping that GW wouldn't ruin the Votann... Aaaahhhh, what a fool idea it was
I mean
we all knew the bikes were gonna be there
its gonna sell like mad
it makes sense
Not for me
Then thats just 1 customer out of 100000
i still think that the new squats actually look good
it's super refreshing to see something outside normal 40k design, even if it leans on the somewhat generic
Not really, but i wanted to make that joke
cries in Tau and Van Saar
tau are cool, but they are established. and i don't really care about necromunda
votannian?
was it leaked?
The symbol in the front doesn't give much doubt imo
with a rear gunner cuz the is no such thing as to much dakka
Cultists look neat
i l;ike the bike
cato primarius
World Eaters Codex confirmed
White Dwarf partial release first and full Codex later
hype
Cannot wait to see more veterans for IG
so... head
Okay stream done
worst part was that they assumed people tuned into a 40k stream were all space marine fans
chaos is strong i see
i do want that daemon prince
All I really want is for the chaos guardsmen in black stone fortress to be there own thing
Zamn
I'd fuck him
Thats in the Prophecy
This leak from like 8 months ago has been entirely correct
Chaos guardsman was on the second page i think
Ah nvm Renegade Guard, the're on there
Sir, madam or other.
Youāve made a shitty morning worth getting out of bed. Thank you š
Iāve been wanting to do a chaos army for a fat min but I never did vibe with them being only space marines
I might pick up the chaos knight set this weekend and start my trip to chaos there
World Eater getting their own codex does sound promising for me
thats been mighty tempting for me too but I mainly just like the wardogs
We got veteran style Cadians but regiments and new kasrkin got me excited since there my main army
They only shared 1 tease of them which was what their axes will look like
"There's no mistaking this for a space marine bike"
Yeah I'd say that but there's marine grav tanks flying around now so idk about that whc
HOLY
SHIT
okay fellas
im scrapping my emperos children army
yeah, they did say they will be getting a codex later, a smaller White Dwarf release first
I imagine the big reveal will be at the end of warhammer fest
and making a word bearers daemon kin army
With angron
don't think they'll show angron just yet
think the main release for them will be some time next year
mayhaps
I have been shown the light of absoluete metal ass mutants and possessed
some might come out by christmas with a small White Dwarf force
Yeah Angron and Fulgrim are prob later down the line
its just Magnus and Morty atm with codexes and special minis
I imagine they will be out before the new year
Yeah they might end up being heresy adjacent releases since hh 2.0 is late heresy
the most exciting fact about this is that this has to mean Emperors Children will get their love at SOME time in the far future
And in late heresy fulgrim and angron are already daemon princes
could be, would be nice if they'd do it so that you could field him in HH as well
That will definitely be the case given the siege of terra angle they're going for with hh 2.0
Morty should be fieldable in his daemon form as well then
And angron is a daemon prince during the siege of terra and really for like
The whole latter half of the horus heresy
Correct
I wish we got more terrain options for a urban setting
the new terrain kit was pretty nice tbh
I did like it
not that urban though
Itās very outpost like
yeah
Good for a trenchline
But not for a city
I mean things like stone building structures mixed with the technology metal
That or a church/cathedral would be really cool
agreed
I would also like more three story buildings. Ones that have stairs and arenāt complete rubble
yeah, although those would be hard to utilize in-game
these are disgusting and i love it
the sculptors really went wild with those
The sculptors donāt get me wrong there very detailed and cool
But I wish there was more modularity
Like the new ork boys compared to the old. The old had A lot more options than the new
So Iām deeply hoping we donāt go back in time to just different heads and color schemes
I love how we all were active and then all stopped for a solid 30 min lmao
I get making squats more generic humany sci-fi looking from a lore point of view, but these models really don't seem that impressive so far
I really like the vehicle at least, very pulpy
The vehicle does look cool
I'm just happy world eaters are getting their own book finally
Its not really generic sci-fi
its atom/dieselpunk lol
everyone seems to love them so far from what im seeing
I dig the gun
Ive seen the opposite with a lot of people complaining about the new squats having a more scifi look
it happens a lot here as well
I'm having very much trouble deciding which legion I should go with for Horus Heresy
the one that has the most drip
Night Lords have the most dripping flesh parts
Blood angels and world eaters drip a lot of blood
Damn, the new chaos minis all look really cool, especially that fused chaos spawn thing
Are Horus heresy leaks still amounting to just the box set and the plastic leviathan?
Not sure if I like the curves of dieselpunk and such tbh. But maybe I'm still too oversaturated from wolfenstein or I just expected something else or new
i like it but its a cup for everyone
GW on their way to slap hover vehicles onto every faction
Allergic to wheels
LoV seeming uninspired as predicted
CSM very goodo tho
Tommorow is AoS day and its skaven/sylvaneth time
Votann warrior bravely riding in on their rotovac to clean the dust of the 41st millenium
it looks almost 1950's aesthetic, which i like
I rlly dont know where u guys are getting dieselpunk from
Its way too clean
The only diesel thing abt this is the gas can
LMAO
i think it looks good
IW
But im biased
I don't feel like painting armys worth of metallic paint
Valid and fairš¤£
I'm glad chaos gate daemonhunters seems to be doing well review wise. It really does seem like the people behind it really wanted to make it as good as it could possibly be.
its not out yet

Cultist?
Finally!
I can finally do the cultist army Iāve dreamed of and send thousands to their deaths in the name of the dark gods

Im surprised it isnt 60
going to wait for it to go on sale. it'll probably have like a 10% sale during the Skulls event,
YO FR?
Oh those guys are fuckin nic3
I actually have Possessed in the Start Collecting box I have yet to make lmao
my condolences
Older possessed models are funky they like to fall
like it
Marduk Sedeez nuts
This tbh
plasmaballs
Slightly annoyed that skaven are only getting 1 new model, but whatever
yeah same
hopefully the new tome makes it better at actually killing heroes
cool new sylvaneth though
Skaven just need their old crap updated
Sylvaneth actually needed new models to the roster
skaven are bound for one of those massive range updates
New vampire character
hes a great fit for any generic fighter for dnd runs
Very mid AoS reveals tbh
Hearing that cities of sigmar are getting an update is cool though
Mid or feed, my favorite line to hear
any mondo coolio releases shown off
Not for 40k
Hey whatās yāallās thoughts on Chaos lords in Terminator armor? I love their model but I almost never see anyone use them
Might be because of the points costs
AoS got a entire faction revamp announced + the summer battletomes and models
too spiky people dont like poking themselves
Ooooo
Might be a good time for em to finally try AOS
chaos space marines also got a bunch of cool new stuff + world eaters being confirmed for getting their own book in 40k
Yeee I might get a worlds eaters army
I actually like their lore
And angron
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH KILLL BLOOOD and other raging...
And Khan the betray is an amazing character
i know this is a 40k place but i REALLY like this https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/05/05/revealed-new-sylvaneth-have-been-empowered-by-the-rite-of-life/
I think 40k reveals were better than the AoS reveals this year tbh
Not really a 40K only place, feel free to drop all the hobbies bomb you want
WTH dwarfs get powerbackpacks there?
That doesn't look much kharadron though
Seems more a dispossesed dwrf
he is a merc according to this
Yeah, a kharadon merc...
But he is wielding a quad barreled aethorshot rifle and the arkonaut admirals axe
Welp, the lack of purple fooled me
Lil Chad
Their different cities and guilds use different colours
As well as having wildly different beliefs
Some are more akin to old dwarves whilst some are pure turbo capitalists
They basically wear exosuits
theres even art of it
Well sealed suits with metal armour on top
Lil chads
Gonna fire some harpoons in peoples faces
Or a straight up drill cannon
Then have their drill bit birds peck at the remains
All so their company owner can get just that bit richer
Whilst they all entirely deny the existence of magic...whilst everyone else uses it
cooooooooom
Harpoons, hooks, bullets, pickaxes
Especially by AoS standards
Ok, now i'm getting interested
Cutlasses, drill birds, cog axes, picks, harpoons, pikes, spears, guns, heck my favourite one is the chemists literally sucking the air out of people's lungs
Can you feed me more info about their distaste for magic? Or point me toward some place where to find it
Their general attitude to magic is just that is a wind like any other, they don't really believe it to be usable for them
They have navigators that read it to help them move their huge ships
And they siphon it into steampunk esque engines or gunpowder to power everything
They basically believe "magic" is a bad term
And that everything can be explained with science and rational thinking
Ma bois!!
That is the respectable part of them
I can copy paste an article about it if you want
The Kharadron largely scorn organised worship and, save for the more traditionalist sky-ports such as Barak-Thryng, have placed science above the worship of the Ancestor Gods. While the Kharadron acknowledge the presence of magic and deities, they believe everything can be explained with some rational, science-based formula.
Superstitions persist, however, and many legends tell of how the exertions Grungni experienced during his Grand Works were such that the metal-dust shed by his hammer mingled with his breath to form air-borne clouds of aether-gold. Others say that the creation of aether-gold was Grungniās folly and the reason he would ultimately leave the Pantheon of Order.
Essentially their method to fight chaos in terms of culture is to rationalise it as best as possible so that they might understand this, although this is pretty impossible. They are the most rapidly developing of anyone in the mortal realms thanks to their focus on the sciences and capitalism
When it comes to a fight they bring overwhelming firepower alongside the stoicism you'd expect of the dwarves. Throw in their creative weaponry and heavily drilled and well trained soldiers and you have the reason they've been so successful in the realms
Hope this gives you a small snippet into what is genuinely one of the coolest factions in AoS

Hyped for their new book + character
Looks rlly cool
Gives me moby dick vibes for some reason
Also hyped for the Covens of Blood audiobook
Just got into DoK so

Iirc this was made during the Soul Wars arc
So its missing the more recent stuff but its mostly up to date
He has other vids going over the new stuff
Thanks
How does this look so far is it starting to look like a word bearer
DWARF PIRATESSS
hey why is so much AOS stuff in last chacne to buy
All the warcry stuff, I think the older teams may be getting phased out
Someone who plays Warcry wouls know more definitely tho
Lmao I was just thinking about āhey you know what AOS army is cool that I wanna get? Those tree ppl.ā
Then just saw the recap
Reveal
okay yea i love them
im probably gonna pcik up the uh, start collecting and tree kit when i go to my local game store
and uh not 3d print some hunters probs
if they have alreeady done the 40k day when are they supposed to show off new IG stuff or this supposed cato model?
in another stream later in the next few months most likely
ah
Yeah guard is still
pretty far off tbh
Well, not TOO far off but
CSM, daemons, etc first most likely
Guard getting Hammer of the Emperor while good isn't too good of a sign for a soon codex
tomorrow will be the skirmish game stream. i'm betting we see traitor guard from the prophecy in the new kill team box
I like how the cultists are the BSF ones
werent the bsf ones a bit more spikey
Those were the traitor guard
There was maybe only 2 or 3 spiked helmets for the cultists
lul, just found my old warhammer fantasy rulebook while doing some lifting in the cellar. 6th edition. I am old...š©
but cool artworks, and painting tipps I totally ignored. Good times
left 4 dead is real boomer game
fair, i just couldn't not post it
totally understandable
Apparently a bunch of horus heresy reveals meant for tomorrow got leaked.
Love the kratos
i also love ARMOR VALUES and OLD TOUGHNESS AND STRENGTH AND WS CHARTS
so i might get into hh 2.0
Cool looking stuff
I just liked the do I get a Save Y/N instead of all the Ap going everywhere.
The Kratos looks dope, will be getting one for sure
Can't wait for them to roll out the rest Sicarans in plastic
Yes
Theyre militia + pelts and spikes
If they show a traitor guard kill team then I will be happy
its on the Prophecy so probably
ITS BEING SHOWCASED

The one on the left have a nice helmet
They all look really good... And similar to the chaos ones in darktide
god i hate these marine models
hes adjusting one of his 7 scopes
so
everyone else gets exactly the same number of models as you need to play
except SM
who get enough parts to make 2 full squads

good news for me, I can split this with a marine player
controversial but i have never had a problem with phobos marines. but traitor guard look much better
Phobos are very tacticool, not to everybodys taste
I wonder why they got that pattern of breastplate... I mean, they seems to use the "cadian" pattern, but the breastplate is different
Meh, the more they reveal the less interested i am
these look less terrible
Oh, those are on necromunda?
actually like these over the actual official army
They are bringing back the squat prospector???!!!
yup
So there is still hope for decent Votann... Well, excluding the hover bike
Wonder how they are gonna make the squat prospector fit in the lore
they are covering this now
Did they went deep in the underhive to not have been singhted for so long?
squats are a necromunda specific term for Kin, which is the new name for squats
they were there since the HH to help with the rebuild
so
"squats" still exist
but aren't the new faction at all
these are so much cooler than league imo
I know
Leagues of Shittaan š
But the squats were said to be long gone from necromunda, and with only two remaining, and that they never talked about their similar
i need to see the full squat range for 40k before i pass final judgement. but i do like the style of them so far
Blank
Lore doesnt matter
ıts all in the whims of GW
these arent the actual range, they are a seperate group that have nothing to do with the league
so the rest of the army wont look like the above at all
Those look more like the old squats than the first reveal
i'm talking about the leagues of votaan
cause it has nothing to do with the league
Oh yeah
