Also notable is that in 9th the general power of factions is increased across the board, esp in damage output. Stuff looks op rn and it might be interacting with old 8th edition codexes but im told within 9th codexes it's fairly balanced

yee same. I'm always supportive of stuff being very powerful in its niches, makes for better gameplay

like, with the new railgun on the hammerhead, it should actually play as the tank hunter it is in fluff but it's still pretty squishy and doesn't wanna be firing into infantry, and isn't super mobile either

so you absolutely do not want your tanks to be in LoS at all, but there's still counterplay with zoning out with chaff + manipulating LoS. idk how it'll play in practice but that kind of vibe

It doesn't get all that "fuck your save" bonuses the railgun gets but that damage is nasty

Long range pretty much kiss your heavy Infantry goodbye and the close range will pretty much one shot most light vehicles or monstrous creatures

the stilts cant support it, the fibreglass/carbon springs cant handle the weight

im working on something cooler tho

Look at gws old marines, they are smurfs compared to guardsmen for example. Thats why ppl back then used greenstuff to make their marines bigger so they actually are about as tall as they should be. Then gw launched updated chaos marines and stuff and ppl didnt need to size em up anymore because they are tall enought.
