Also, the new tau KT, is it normal tau or do they have special crap?
its firewarriors, pathfinders, or stealths
kroot technically are their own thing too
most they can bring with are drones
Stealth Kroot?
OH
YEA
I was fuckinh imagining Kroot in like, a gullie suit
But you meant 2 different things
For now It's just a regular one until the Pathfinder team gets released
Also yeah, for some reason Kroot and Tau got seperated
which is rlly funny because all of kroot's model are fucking ancient
kroot can bring krootox but thats the extent of something heavy from the tau dex
Wait, people don’t 3d print Kroot? I’ve never met anyone who used like the actual official Kroot modes
I know people use the krootox tho
Ok mayeb that’s because I don’t talk to taunplayers
well the conga line guy did since that was a GW event
OH YEA THAT FUCKING ROGUE TRADER MDOEL UFCKIBG BANGS
there was also the blackstone fortress one
Yes that’s th e one I’m taking about
It’s so
Good
God I want new RT KT rules
Like, just grab a random model from a few different armies
Yooo
In case you didnt decide yet i would go for orange
Something like this perhaps
The Big Boy and the Killer Chair
Big fan of the weathering
fancy af
Very big guy
Unit
God those newer Chaos models are great.
im might be blind and stupid but what's the difference with these new csm?
Alright, yeah. Orange plasma looks great.
My DW already has red weapons which I'm trying to completely avoid.
So my BT will have black and brass.
Bless
Way better proportions, better details, proper scale ect ect
They're higher quality across the board.
Holy shit thats amazing
Yee professional cosplay types don't fuck around
Yeah its clearly inspired by the DOW3 trailer
the wraithbone texture is exactly the same, it looks amazing
Oh it 100% does
Saw a vid to that cosplay ages ago, lemme find it
#Warhammer40k #cosplay #Eldar
Making of Eldar Howling Banshee from Warhammer40k Dawn of War III. This is my first video about costume creation and I want to do more! Thanks for watching. Subscribe!
It's took a month to create full outfit.
Materials used: EVA foam, Bubblestar (thermoplastic analogue of Worbla), styrofoam, acrylic colors, RustO...
There, 5 years ago 🙏
Chief is that the accurate costume?
i cant imagine the hours of just staring and trying to figure out if that part is truly finished
The image is great but it still reminds me of DoW 3.

God what a sick trailer that was
Trailer gud gaem bad
the only good thing about the game tbh lol
powerful
The purple is a little cloudy around it. I'll probably Nuln the purple to help lessen the brightness on the black.
Purple was the move. With so much being black/gold it just pops. Purple is such a pretty colour 😳
Really?
I'll leave it. 💖
Yee
It's supposed to stand out
Sells the effect better even under bright lighting too
I disagree, did you hear the ork theme. Now that was the best part
Bet. 💖
I used some very high rated tutorial. Helped me get a feel for what I wanted to do.
In this video I show you how to paint a plasma glow effect.

@hoary ermine Hehehe. As time goes on you'll see. Shiny gold and black Redemptor.
I'm making this guy to honour my dad.
That’s awesome man! If you ever need pointers or ideas I’m happy to help out!
👌
pog plating
Yessss! I saw. Good luck with it. I love the added details you've got on yours.
And also thanks for offering help/advice. :] I'll make sure to pick your brain. You're one of the best painters in here so it's appreciated!
burna boy from the OG dawn of war trailer
Oh nice job! Is this yours?
Yup!
Next marine kitbash wip 😩
Bobo with da beakie, what will he do?
Everyday we get closer to a full hand reveal.
Throw a frag in your trench 🙏
This just came today.
NICE
which chapter/ legion/ warband are you going for?
Black Templar.
nice
that thing must be about the size of a house brick
I hope you have fun creating it no matter where it ends up
Absolutely. Very very excited to create him. 💖
They are very strong from what i heard.
Like
Best dreadnought strong
Ooooo. Even better!
The storm cannons just looked so sick on them
I watched a 40Kin40m episode and this dude had a Leviathan Dread for his Space Wolf army and it just looked incredible.
I knew I wanted one after.
The new underhive outcast gang is literally perfect for chaos cultists
You can totally make them into iron warrior cultists, alpha legion, maybe even World eaters. With a little work you can probably some word bearers and emperor’s children
god i just love the leviathan body, it just looks so cool
my overall favorite looking dread
Same! Especially with the storm cannons. Feels very Armored Core to me.
give
I love him so much
They haven’t released yet but they were just revealed
"when my gun is finished pointing that way gestures at mf You're next."
Here's post-decals. Calling him done for now.
Also I need to dirty up his fingers a bit more as well.
That gold is too clean.
I want to start assembling the basing at least for my Leviathan though.
Beeg boi
Lovely dreadnought
Id clean the base rim up a lil (more noticable in tha last pic) but other than that hes great
Especially the plasma
Last pic is not the finished base.
Just the only shot I had of the back. 😔
1st and 2nd though have it finished.
Nice
Sadly I need to take a test tonight.
If I pass, I'll treat myself to working on my Leviathan.
Otherwise I will not touch WH until I do pass. 😔
good luck!
GW sales be like
LOL
They are doing like... big box sales. <_<
Thats it tho right? I dont think ge will ever do stuff like sales. On their webstore at least
Aight, I passed my class.
Leviathan boy will be built this week.
Tomorrow night I'll make the base.
I want him stepping over some smashed down wall.
With rubble all over.
Almost finished
Ayyyy! Looking great!
STOP HAVING FUN WITH YOUR HOBBY!
I havent gotten to paint anything in fucking WEEKS!!!
make me

i could probably get more of my minis painted if i weren't such a perfectionist
something in my reptile brain activates when i start painting that just makes me believe that everything must look amazing
I just paint to a quality that brings me joy.
It's going to just sit in my room anyways.
i just wish i had more time
Same. Always.
God 100% same
Yeeep
Yes that's why I pinged proud
New faction: primaris space marine corsairs. This one got an sabre with a soulstone as decoration
I'll take a wild guess knowing nothing about eldar factions other than wraithguard or whatever they are called being the ones with the pure white helmets and say that its one of those scorpions
get that corsair shit out of here if ur doing alternative eldar stuff ur doing exodites
get fucked GW give me my woodies
The eldar rework commeth
🙏
Not alternate eldar ratty, alternate spess muhreens
perish
Fair fair
Yeee no harm done
Like yeah striking scorpions would be sick indeed but i dont think the cloth thingy fits them
Yeah it doesnt
Like they usually have these things
yeah the predator dreadlocks
Kindaish
Scorpions, my beloved
that and you cant really tell what this is since plumes are almost on half the eldar as a decorational thing
These ones seem to be more solid
Definitely also to do with the sculpting of the time too, other than just simply it being solid pieces fitted over plumage/hair
Honestly I don't understand gw's marketing scheme because you would think based on other things they release like that animation then they would release some scorpion stuff but they don't
Same here
Idk just would seem logical to me
I think its just a small hollow rod
Eh the old banshees had hair
Jokes aside its just that they dont want to waste a penny, its the same reason why they use warhammer video game songs from IPs they own on trailers and such
Yeah, but that's flowing hair, dreads or braids would be much finer in detail. Detail that at the time of the making of those sculpts wouldn't have looked that good. Plus, I think they're ornaments first, maybe with or without something within them. The effect is still basically the same.
Yeah the principle of if its good why only use it once
I imagine them more as something like this
Because its not as safe a bet as making another lieutenant
Yeah, same.
Yeah but the scorpions were outright inspired by Predators
Jes Goodwin himself says it which is great

I really like the design of scorpions
Same
They are one the coolest aspect warriors
their armor and color scheme looks really nice
The fact that they share their origin too is great
what got me into 40k was the picture of an incubus lmao
I like the incubi skull like helmets
Yes holy fuck
They are my favourite aspect
Hnngh
something about the entire design is a lightning in a bottle
really hope they're one of the minis that get updated with the leaks
This design makes my brain produce the happy chemical
Mandible helmet
I think Striking Scorpions do the natural and elegant shapes of regular Aeldari and the aggressive, sharp and somewhat angular lines of Drukhari in the same model pretty cleanly
Ngl if they redesign them i would def buy a squad, got no eldar so far
that's basically how those sorta things work irl, tho like
putting THAT much weight on ur hair would prolly be v uncomfortable realistically
unless they're super light
Yeeee
its also why the incubi have the back-spines like the aspect warriors
just a few design similiarities etc
My favourite Eldar units.
though for them its to hang trophies so lol
Oh yeah i dont imagine them being threaded(?) by their real hair, i imagine them being stuck to the helmet
Either are possible, but with how the helmet is, I think it's either a bunch of dangly clacky bits, or they're affixed to a bunch of plumes on the helmet itself
Yee my assumption aswell, i also doubt they used literal hair for it, i imagine them using just like a leather string or something
I like to think of the "hair" as actually being bio-organic.
It helps stabilize them during combat, moving with the flow and attacks.
Wraithbone shenanigans
Exactly. All of it is wraithbone.
Even the hair 😳
Yee!
Dont do this to me
Guess the "looks cool -> aos, looks shit -> 40k" chart applies again
Yeah thats identical only difference being is that the gemstone is further up and the holder for it is a bit different

Oh wait it could also be IDK
Either way win
pogfish
pogfish
Welp. I'm depressed now.
My Contemptor dreadnought got lost in shipping.
So now I'm just getting a refund and have to hope I can find one somewhere else.
eek
Sorry to hear that 😟
All good. 😔 I've got my Leviathan I'm still very thankful and excited about.
Just wanted to have one for my dad, brother and grandpa
Ever put a dead relative in your dreadnoughts?
That's the idea. LMFAO
Literally?
You stuff their ashes in jt
Oh shit.
I see people do that with their pets
I think the bitz i ordered from incanland got lost too, been almost a month now 😩
My dad's buried. Next to my grandpa actually. So sadly no ashes to pull from. :[
NOOOOO
There was a salamanders player who put his recently passed cat into a redemptor
I would 100% use the ashes to enhance a paint or something too
Holy fuck
That would be incredible.
Kinda cool but also kinda messed up
I will prob do the same for Frumpkin when he passes if he ever does
Hes like...3 rn lol
Hell yea
Puting people in a sealed box to rot for eternity is the most insult shit ive ever seen
Yeah. It definitely wasn't my choice. My dad and grandpa were hyper religious Orthodox.
So did as they requested.
With luck you got like 17 beautiful years ahead and a nice companion for your kid
Underatandable and fair @sour hill
It's grim, but I think it's fitting to have the "dead" around you literally.
Absolutely, these two goobers already love playing together
If my wife ever passes before me I want to get her ashes put into jewelry to wear. There's a place that makes diamonds out of their ashes and shit
I will have my body repurposed before the rest is burned and scattered to thr great planes beyond
🙏
I'm thinking I'm going to request to have my ashes spread on Mt. Doom in NZ. In the fields at least.
Eh the box will rot and the ashes will spread around eventually, its more about having a place where you can mourn(?), a nice peaceful place in nature
I look forward to see my goddess before i die. To watch her wash my blood from her shield in the river. I will know peace when i am reaped into her arms and held to her bossom, to br carried off to the summerlands
Thats what trees are for doh
Idk i prefer a regular tombstone to a tree tbh
Literally use their ashes to plant a tree
I'd get a blue diamond of her ashes. It's her favourite colour.
Thats sweet
Well i hope so lol
LOL
LMFAO
I love it great work !
This
My plan when I die is to have an elaborate will that leads thousands of treasure hunters on a wild goose chase for my hidden fortune and when they find it after years of turmoil they’ll find a receipt for a single pixelated monkey jpeg
... did you just spoil One Piece's ending? :p
mayhaps
@sour hill you still collect deathwatch?
I got a captain artemis and a librarian in termie armor of you want them
I can even paint them for you. I just dont think ill ever use em
I've got as much DW as I think I'll ever want for now. Just vibing with my BT for now. Thank you though! I may take you up on it later if I try and expand them all more.
Okie
Honestly, depending on how I build my diorama too I may have too many DW as it is on the field and need to hide some/sell some myself. LMFAO
I don't believe you
anyone got a good source for like. ww1 era British troops that i can add guard bits to?
hm
try victoriaminiatures maybe
i like them bc the scale is very similar to astra militarum
it's mainly the scale i want to be the same
but with brodie helmets
are they plastic?
riiiiiiiiiight
tbf plastic bits are pretty rare
for third party stuff with similar scale i mean
unless you get something like frostgrave but
scale is off on those
vicky doesn't have what i'm looking for sadly
Well yeah gw is "heroic scale" aka we choose how big we make this certain mini, in a few years they might be twice as big fuck you
well scale creep is an entirely different issue
But for example say you get a perry and a gw mini
gw is more cartoonish with bigger arms, hands, heads
getting perry bits looks a bit out of place on gw minis
Tbf big heads are always a problem, the more advanced they are the less terrible those mistakes are
nothing on madbot either
weird angles
Are you sure, like sorting trough madrobots heads takes ages
those guys are actually really pog
where you get the knights?
Man i love perrys "medieval" miniatures
Perry miniatures english army
yh theyre perry
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
i like them but its a different vibe
also yeah, mostly stahlheims and shit
Bought it 3 times so i get a free henry v mini, i got way too many now
Would prolly have been cheaper to buy the henry v on ebay lol
anvil has what i need
But now i can just pain all of em, stick em on their bases and have cool formations
yeah theres also anvil industires, kromlech etc
Square bases my beloved
i basically want a russ and get a bunch of guys with brodies on it
but i'm also give them a monster hunter vibe
i mean
those are neat
Btw, bfg mini scale comparison in case anybody wants to know
scale creep smh
arent the bigger ships in 40k like a few miles long?
This one is supposed to be ≈3km long, the larger ones usually have no official lengths but are often 7-10km long, depending on author. And then there are the fucking giantic ones with not even a mention of lenght. Just stuff like "as big as a moon" ah yes because all moons have the same size
i see
Also back to this 👀
lol
void warfare is like, the one sci fi concept 40k gets right scale wise
ships are several km long and they engage eachother over hundreds of thousands of km
There are still issues but its pretty neat overall
cus things move so fast in space, and are capable of carrying such ridiculous ordinances, that it's more of a maths game of figuring out where will the enemies next volley be relative to where we are in x minutes
it's not my absolute fav sci fi space combat thing by any means, but it's v surprisingly well thought out
u know, for 40k combat writing™️
Yee thats fair
my fav is prolly the expanse, but that's just cus rn most of my family is aggressively stanning that show and asking why it's not more popular than it is
hard sci fi spaceships my beloved
I think i got a few rule pdfs for the old bfg somewhere on one of my drives
I've really enjoyed watching the expanse, I should probably get around to reading the books
new season right around the corner iirc
yee! in less than a month i think
Also another argument for 40k space combat
my brother recommended it me and i binged it a few weeks ago, it's such an amazing show and it's lowkey just shocking it's made it to six seasons
considering sci fi is so high budget and so niche that it usually burns out real quick
i always thought that was weird in star trek
Yeah, you either get long lasting shows with nerfgun props or cancelled high budget stuff haha
“The romulan vessel is 1500km away sir” “shoot the phasers”
yep
but in this case literally everything is great. long lasting, high budget, amazing writing, amazing visuals
just really good sci fi in general
Agreed
The only thing I didn't love has been the ||uwu gotta save my son|| plot, but even that has been done pretty well, I'm just not a huge fan of that kinda story in general
idk i didn't mind that yeah, tho mainly just cus the acting and other involved characters like marco were v engaging. Kinda just a vehicle to get into the whole abusive narcissistic side of marco
Found the bfg rule pdfs, if anybody wants em, just dm me
particularly liked the segment after naomi spacewalks, how she's literally bruised all over and stuff. the makeup team and the actress did a really good job
Yeah
amos my beloved
i absolutely HATED him in S1 but now he's my fav. my family prefers drummer tho, which is a respectable choice
Drummer is based as fuck
Oh dude. Big big yes.
Drummer, ashford, bobbie, easily my top 3 fav characters from the show
Im getting a lot of use out of that cowboy bebop gif and im living for it
i hate how emotionally manipulative he is. Like, that scene after naomi leaks intel and you can fucking SEE how intimidated by naomi he is
how beneath all the charisma he's a callous PoS
it's amazing acting and it makes me hate the character so much
Yeah for sure, it's great characterization
ashford is also amazing yes
The expanse is one of those shows that just... does a lot of things so well.
The space combat. Characterization. Space politics. Even ||aliens||
Talking of startrek, they moved discovery off of netlfix before i could watch the last 3 episodes
Angy
Honestly the whole belter sphere is def the strongest part of the show, largely cus it's a v interesting and prolly not so distant concept. Like, if humans develop sufficiently differently in low or zero g that they can't step foot on a planet anymore, they're basically a speciated (if not genetically then at least by circumstance) exile race stuck in space
Yeah
with no access to food or water besides asteroid ice, making them p much dependent on inners to survive, meaning they're v easily just a slave race
The social ramifications of not being physically able to go planetside is pretty neat in general
yee! It's a humanitarian shitshow caused by technological advancement with implications on culture, politics etc
And talking about exporting soil is not something I even considered before, but is a neat thing to think about
nods
Dirt my beloved
exporting soil, complex biologicals, etc. All extremely valuable when only earth and other biological spheres can produce them
The alien stuff is also done v well, but i imagine it would've been a lil novel a few decades ago. It's v much just like, ancient constructor race that disappears to some kind of ~external alien threat~ billions of years ago vibes
it's a v common trope
but the actual depiction of alien life is at least refreshing, as like. actually alien and all
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tScAyNaRdQ reminds me of this short
Directed by: Stephen O'Regan
Based on the short story by Terry Bisson
Yeah, the overall setup is not as fresh but the flavor of how that whole thing works is 👌
nods
When that station gets taken over it is legit creepy as fuck, and when you see it again at the climax it's like hooooly fuck
oh yeah eros was my absolute fav protomolecule bit. After that the mystique is a lil shattered, since you kinda know what it is and it's v mundane, but i was actually scared of the notion of even climbing on top of eros in season 2
it's like clambering on the rooftops of chernobyl, had those ground zero vibes except you didn't even know what was inside
Yes that comparison captures the feel of it really well
Like just something otherworldly that has run amok and just getting close to it is enough to get wrecked
yee
the sound design for the voices was also excellent at communicating that
From S2E4 "Godspeed"
The entire area has been quarantined - nobody aside from Miller and the crew of the Rocinante are anywhere near Eros. The alien protomolecule has decimated everything inside the station, leaving everyone dead and the walls coated in alien goo. But as the massive ship Nauvoo approaches to knock the infected Eros into the sun...
the scream is chilling
Yes
We were watching it late at night, and I don't do horror shows/movies at all cuz I'm a big baby about scary stuff
My wife was like are you okay
And I'm like no but we can't stop watching now lmao
bless
And also when theyre hunting the hybrid
And it's revealed that the thing is on their ship
Which I was already tensely suspecting
God i really need to take the time to read through all of the bfg rules at some point
I like this take, it makes a lot of sense
Shush
Yee i like it too
owned™️
The Expanse is one of my favorite SciFi series
Eh they do, depending on the book
I always think of like that scene where theyre chasing the millenium falcon and it just dips on them
Like... a single star destroyer has like 150 something odd fighters. Each. And theyre out there chasing it with a single squadron?
Plot Moment™️
They do tho >:(
Yes they do 😡
Well agree on this

Im just gonna say if you want beautiful sci fi ship battles with a sense of scale and plot importance and continuity.... you got the expanse
Ok smarty pants how bout you tell the class how space works
3D? More like 3Dumb
And only two locations: on your tail, and wheredtheygo
Read >:c
that's just forward with flavor
Is there anywhere that u can still get the BFG minis?
Spinning is just forward and up at the same time
Ebay and 3d printing are the only ways to do that i fear
I got mine off ebay at least
Also have this useful guide: http://www.wargames-romania.ro/wordpress/wargames/battlefleet-gothic/battlefleet-gothic-a-guide-to-assembling-chaos-cruisers-all-types/
(Ignore the nazi header idk man)
Yee 💀
100%
there are whole videos going over them frame by frame for how well done they are
Has anyone suscribed to Warhammer+?
@crisp forge did at some point i think
@crisp forge any opinion ? I'm not interested in the minis, more in the series, lore, comics and books
So id say simply put?
Incredibly lackluster and at best wait a year before subbing
the painting tutorials are the same as you can find anywhere for free, white dwarf isnt worth it since they're going through them slowly and they're all recent ones atm, and uh
The animations are just meh
You can pirate them from anywhere else and its nothing spectacular atm
Shame
I would prefer they made a deal with Netflix or Amazon for the animation
I thought it was primaris models
Feel that way, even on the promos. They puff up a very light amount of content for that price
Yeaaaah its really bad
people were hyping up WH+ as much as GW and now it feels like it dropped off the face of the earth lmao
Pretty much
They could have gave away special cosmetic on Vermintide 2 with the subscription
Twitch style
Bold of you to assume GW knows anything outside of tabletop minis exists
It's such a fucking weird company
Shame because I really like angels of death
But they just don't have enough to justify me actually paying for it
yeah like $60
I mean considering that you pay 45 bucks for a HQ model, similar to the ones provided in the subscription. along with content like shows and fairly top tier tutorials for a year I think its pretty worth it
Yeah but it's a model you don't have much choice in
They provide options, better hope you play the army for either
I agree that their should be more options
Esp when, in this case, the ork one just fucking sucks
So it's really just one
It's not a bad looking model by any means, but It's legit just a warboss
Ehh im biased as a painter to just have limited edition collectors model
but thats me
the only thing i really have much interest in is the angels of death animated show at the moment. but i can watch that through other sources
They'll be recasted in like, moments
Yeah obviously
i stand by that i think the show is actually pretty good
100%
I think its a fair asking price
but only if you like painting, and the shows they release
I mean the tutorials are awesome
and ofc their are other avenues to explore like youtube
i watch angels of death through other places, so i don't pay for it. i might when there's more things that really matter to me personally, but not right now
yeah and thats fair
but i do like angels of death. a small squad of blood angels vs a genstealer cult is a cool story idea
and they show the genestealer cults can tear a space marine apart pretty easily
if the model were to be valued at a price it would be $45 since the newer hq models seem to be around that, so in reality you are paying $15 for access to the shows, White Dwarf Catalogues, and the painting tutorials
plus a single issue of white dwarf is around $10 or so
so your paying $55 for both a model and access to White Dwarf magazines and lastly $5 dollar subscription to a warhammer streaming service
my biggest issue is that i think it's a huge missed opportunity to not put the old edition rules in the archive for people who may want to check out older editions
even if it were just for the purpose of showing how the game evolved
idk, i feel like if someone wanted to do that they could find pdfs online 🤷
oh very easily for sure
but i get what you mean
but having official backing would be a smart move on GWs part
it would interest more people to join in the hobby
seeing it throughout the years
but in my personal opinion $60 dollar subscription for all of that and a promised model that looks cool to paint for a show piece and I think its worth it
I mean compared to a $250 pay wall for a commemorative model
but peeps be selling em on ebay for lik $60 anyway
I mean in all fairness I ended up getting the model x2 since I bought the Black Templar and Ork sets in the past month
that and paints
GW is such a frustrating company. they sometimes make really good decisions and then piss it all away by being absolute dumbasses
gotta love corporate
they both love and yet hate money at the same time
Nah its less they hate money
more that they got no idea most of the time how their fanbase works lmao
or just.. common business practices
Especially since their strategy usually is "throw marine minis at the problem"
ironic that they don't know their own audience yet they still act like they are somehow responsible for the community being as popular as it is
if they didnt have community creators
here's a little secret GW: the fans are responsible for why it's so popular, not you
the goddamn hobby wouldve sank like the tea in the harbor
the sad thing is I do really like space marines. but even i need a break once in a while
Yeah this
I love Marines too but I hate them from the miniature perspective
vomits blue
i say this as an ultramarines player: let the imperial fists be the poster boys for a bit
IF are a very cool army. Ultramarines put me to bed.
ultramarines can be cool. i love the graham mcneill books about uriel ventris.
The sad part is the only reasons Ultras are posterboys is because blue is an eye catching color
thats it lmao
AAA-
this stupid thing brings me joy
mario cart 40k version
but in all seriousness i do love the ultramarines when you get someone like graham mcneill writing them.
he understands that they are good at everything but not great at anything and should use the codex as guidelines but still use their own judgement as warriors. rather than someone like matt ward who says they use it as a holy book and also says they are the best marines ever
from what i have seen the wardian helmet is about half the size of a terminator helmet
unless you are talking about the older terminator armors when they are about the same size
Ultramarines automatically start with a blue shell
So my Cursed City game had a played get eaten by the gravetide then spit back out 2 turns later because we rolled the revive a player end of turn
Holy shit
Oh
Well they are going to be less expensive to collect now
Also that S4 is going to help their melee even further
fear
huh the ap-1 for pulse rifles is new, plus 6" more range
i think, haven't played proper 40k in ages
i thiink pulse carbines also had a lil less range originally?
Yes they increased the range of the weapons
im unsure if that'll help much
It does
Allows them to shoot while remaining outside of charge range for a lot more units
the way i've had it described tau have issues rn with holding objectives and just like. in general if there isn't a wide open ass area to gunline in ur kinda at a disadvantage vibes
! oh yeah that's a fair point
How does charge range work? Wasn't it "12 or smthn
I assume kroots will be getting a big buff defense wise and are going to be the main obejective hodlers
You can declare charge with anything that is within 12" of you yes
Most units have a 6" movement, most melee units gets atleast a reroll to charge and / ora +2 to charge aswell
And some can even advance + charge
And extra 6" safe range will help
yee that makes sense
also means the pulse rifle rapid fire range is higher, which is v pog
^
gonna have to watch the inevitable auspex tactics video on how the math of it works for the damage output of rifles fgsouh
Considering Taus have the best baseline weapon for how much they cost yeah
yee this is def cementing pulse rifles as sorta the goat of basic troop guns
so this is coming with the new codex right? Where's the info posted?
Boom
Also Custodes buffs but that's to be expected
Instead of the swingy 1d3 damage on all their melee its now D2
Might help them in some matchups, might screw them in others
also all custodes getting a leadership of 11
Guardian spears also being S7 in melee now
So custodes guards can go hunt vehicles in melee now
"This calls upon reinforcements lurking in the shadows to restore them to fighting strength – in the case of Acolyte Hybrids, that’s D3 destroyed models from the unit."
I think it also implies that other units like neophytes that are not as strong might get a D6
looking forward to the IG update one day
You asked and shall be served lmao https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87Du_gE46gc
Some cool new stats for the Troops of the next codexes!

Track used : Metal Gear Rising Revengeance Ost : It has to be this way
Original clip used : https://youtu.be/7FxAdOxGNmU
Standing here, i realize.
Average lasgun trying to injure acolytes now
Buff insect ppl
Also the cult reinforcements is so cool
That used to be a 1cp stratagem
Calling it now
Multiple smaller units could be pretty slappy to take advantage of the icons
Esp with t4
Wouldn't bigger units be better because they have a higher chance to survive ?
You can cover more ground with multiple and depending om how well that replenish is theyd be tanky as fuck
Well its 1d3 plus its easier to buff bigger units in general
the AP pulse rifle does make me v happy
Also if you wanna go min maxing, having units coming back is also more mobility
Since you can make em pop in front of your unit , giving you more reach
I see
I know a necron player that does that, I know its legal but its kind of annoying
Also a fun rule they had back then was when you want to shoot at something you are like "ok i shoot now with this unit at this unit" then you measure is they are within range and if they arent the attacks miss
i lowkey dont know why they didn't give the pulse carbine ap-1 tho
like cmon
they're meant to be basically the same just one long range one mid range
Its weird yeah
esp cus the carbine is already kinda just worse than the rifle
guess they dont wanna make base pathfinders too strong idk
Guess they wouldn't risk making the Pathfinders too strong because they are re-releasing the Pathfinder hero that will likely have a big aura for them
Plus we don't know the new sept bonuses as of yet
Blast + cult ambush is better w/smaller unitd usually
Plus multiple procs across board
Enemy may over commit to small eized unit
Or undercommit and Icon
Oh yeah more tokens for the tomfoolery
i'm pretty sure it "never" stopped the jackals from popping with their C4 lmao
It is irony
I know bikes have bigger bases
Yee tho u have to 3" Deep strike for that anyways
With lying in wait
Since bobombs only have 6" range
If neophytes get like
A d3+3 banner
Then heavy weapons spam will be even stronger with heavy neophyte lists
Assloads of mining lasers
And a jackal alphus
For 3+ heavy weapon neophytes
ESPECIALLY WITH THAT CROSSFIRE RULE TEASES
WEW
Im very excited to see how our characters change
I hope Keler's revolvers to to S5 and/or they make Oppressor's Bane S6
Also I hope knife sanctus gets gud
Another hope: A perfect ambush's move choice just goes to "Make a move of 6" rather than of d6
Perfect Ambush should be usable by both shooting and charging with the same efficiency
Not random chance for charging
Yee that's all I can think of
Nobody uses carbines outside of pathfinders anyways
YEAH
Marines weeping
I swear it's been S5 ap0 30" for so long
As they get fucking murkee
It'll be weird it being different
Is nice to finally have like. Smthn closer to the efficacy of baseline skitarii at range
Given tau are meant to be the pure ranged faction
I cant wait to see the new faction abils
Rusted Claw lets gooo
Give me assault bombs
They already shift most weapons to assault on adv
All I need now is the Gets flared by ridgerunners, rushes 20 inches, drops the fattest democharge load imaginable
Shiny and chrome, riding eternal
Also
INB4 tau codex somehow releases in january still, before cults/sustodes
im just still looking forward to darkstrider
that kit could have so much kitbash potential for tau leader characters in general
the smol drones ❤️
Holy fuck I just bought 20 acolytes
Well that completes my cult army
RHEBDH
Fortunately they were like 60% of retail price
30 acolytes seems like a p healthy count
Esp with their new changes
I'll probs be able to be good on troops with just 3 units of 10
I want purestrain/aberrant biobuilds to be good
They'd be a good target for a cheap melee guy to grab a point and hold
@sour hill hell yea
I want to make that one named DW dreadnought. The lammentor one that thinks the lammentors are all dead
YO! Do you have any pics or anything of them?
Lamenters are my second favourite SM group.
The curse of tragedy is just so sick.
Working with Resin models is a HUGE pain in the ass though.
Jesus. Clipping and cleaning this dude took an hour.
Yeah. I have a giant container of gorilla glue.
But.
It takes forever to dry too. And I don't have quick binder.
😔
I need to get all the nurgle bits i’ve got and decide what i’m adding and what i’m not
Ive never made the model lol im saying i want to
@sour hill this lad
@vivid rune I love him. That's so awesome!
And I'll be able to read about him because I have the Deathwatch Omnibus.
😎
Based
Aww yeah thos came in the mail today
👋
I am excited to delve into it. I inow its different from like... the FFG one but its interesting clsses and progressions
Oh boy, cannot wait for more OW and W&G discussions
How did that happen?
he was sneaking around behind enemy lines
i have LoS turned on
party didn't know he was there
I'm just a smoll ratboy
Lol, perfect ratling behaviour right there, doing stuff without telling teammates
And then making a fuss because they nearly got your head
Nah they knew my location
Very orky
Got mine a few weeks ago. desperate to start a game of W&G but trying to find a group for reg sessions is tough.
I feel that
no one died in session
had to pause half way into a fight tho
stealth suits showed up
Does wrath and glory have space combat rules?
not yet I don't think
I think there are homebrewed rules but nothing officially yet iirc
likely easy to figure out some.
Unless you're talking spaceship vs spaceship combat.
ye thats what they mean
Rogue trader had an indepth ship combat and customisation system W&G hasn't replicated yet
it infact has no vehicles at all, so we have nothing to base it on
: )
Could always go, battlefleet gothic for that however.
thats a lot more complex than W&G is aiming to be
Ah, are Tau battlesuits in it?
Nope
The only stated vehicle is an imperial knight, and it uses a standard character stat block
What's the most 'robust' living thing you can fight?
and not even a particularly good one
a T2 Ogryn can out tank it, despite it being a T4 master unit
That's rather odd.
I kind of preffered 8th where things were flat out immune to small arms fire due to toughness
This is for wrath and glory, a TTRPG instead of the standard tabletop
I'm familiar with rogue trader, just not how Wrath and glory is done, never saw the rules.
It seemed more, non combat roleplay, if that makes sense, going off of successes vs failures, and just using more dice for successes
I liked the % system of rogue trader, more than a D6/10/20 system
D6 with successes is fine, it can do great combat like shadowrun
its just very heavily weighted in the players favour
basically its an RPG where the players play as heroes, which isn't what i want from 40k
Or more, they can be heroes in the older RPGs but they need to work for it
Ah, Dark Heresy is what I was thinking of, not Rogue Trader
That, was a fun book to go through
All the old ones run on the same system dw
i'm using tau from deathwatch in my current only war campaign

I hope that for the future of W&G they return to OW system, it was simply better... I mean, cubicle returned to such system with WHF TTRPG soooo
I was tempted to use the tyranids in some games, but they seemed... Very -very- killy and would rip through an entire party pretty quickly, lol.
they are very killy, but i think i've got it figured out for w/e i do run em
"You pissed me off, go into these narrow, Genestealer infested tunnels..."
cause as long as the players know up front its horde campaign they can take autoguns n stuff
get them fire rates pumpin
Honestly, I also liked the death charts they had for all the weapon types.
The current campaign vs tau they are playing droptroop snipers
And how all the weapons had rules, like, Ork Choppa's and shoota's
the weapon qualities make the system
And the armor system how, it reduced the incoming damage if it hit a spot, Flack armor actually seemed useful as it was, 2/3 base I think, but doubled vs explosive weapons
only war has the best fire rate method of any rpg ive played
Haven't seen that system/book myself.
The % system then. I don't know how the fire rate works in Only war then. I just remember that, when you do full auto, and roll a hit it's spread across whoevers in the fire arc
So you have
single shot has + 10 to hit
Semi auto is +0 and you get an additional hit every odd success
Full auto is at a -10 with a hit per success
so full auto is deadly af, but also the least accurate
isn't the aim action +20 to hit?
Interesting
He say, the head of WK will go on IK, one leg too and the Heavy Bolter will be switch with the Psycannon Eldar and some other part
wait is that the special variant wraithknight from FW hes gonna use?
XD
the FW one is expensive and only worth it for the main body
Or... Bitz order the sword, lol.
In fact Cerastus is better than IK GW for this one imo
He already kitbash an Tau Gundam and an Arminger
Mmmh
This one
Good luck at him
Sick
i want to kitbash a battlesuit like a zaku but
i actually doubt there much i want to change about them lol
ghostkeel is juicy
Thats me
Also fucker @hasty sorrel put fusion blades on stealth suits
: )
Its +10 if you do it for a half action and +20 as a full action or 2 half actions spread in 2 different turns, weapons with Accurate give an additional +10 when fully aimed
Neat
I really want to the the final produit in fact
pure lore, its just impossible, but idc, I WANT TO SEE THAT CHAD IK !
He make a little lore of this one
An IK and a WK who fight in same side vs Slaanesh deamon for save Eldar souls, the IK suicide himself and the WK is don't know how he died and some rangers Eldar have seen a Knight who have Imperium and Eldar symbols and armor
I think that's one thing that will keep me playing rogue trader over anything else, playing as ship captains is too fun
Dirt
No
😩
If we ignore the awful proportions of the marines that stuff looks pretty solid
Is this a new game or something?
Hmm
The legs don't look right.
The heads are fine I guess.
But the proportions do seem off.
It looks more like someone made them to do like a Fortnite dance animation or something with those proportions.
I can just see those guys in some video like this.
In this short video edited by I, largetrap, Hulk throws it back for Captain America. Live Laugh Love Like and Subscribe please
I accidentally posted the first draft of this initially, please like this video instead
LMFAO
tbf im not bothered by their proportions too much but they are a bit memeable
Magnificent
Im kinda bummed out There is zero Slaanesh terrain
Actually there is 1 but
It fucking sucks
Welcome to the game, if ur not imperial, ur chances of getting themed terrain are slim
at least imperial terrain is generally pretty versatile
idm it, lowkey i dont like much tau terrain anyways sjdh
So we usually just get like 1 terrainpiece with rules for every faction and other than that just imperial ruins and shit
