look at where you want to go

dont take your eyes off of your target until your brush tip is there

SMs are cool, but there's so much more depth to the world when you look at the basics of humanity struggling to survive.

This Requiem Infernal book was dope because it mentioned the one and only time the sister ever saw a SM (since it's not like they just chill on planets) and how they seemed like these incredibly beautiful, but terrifying god creatures. Like you feel oddly safe knowing they're there but also extremely uneasy around them.

When it's not just a circle jerk of "the most powerful fighters ever" it makes it way more interesting to hear about them from other people's PoV.

Also, I think it depends on a lot of things.

Paint jobs, construction, etc. Can vary however you really want. Especially with Orks it works thematically.

orks are one of the harder ones to build just cus there's a million models

more stuff to paint, chaos is probs easier

Depends also if you're going mono god, or going for a mix of all.

If you're choosing a specific god to follow for chaos it's pretty simple, you'd go with say, death guard, and not bother with the basic chaos codex.

If you want a Khorne or Slaanesh theme, you're stuck with the old dex, but can make some pretty awesome converstions.

Chaos also has a lot of hero's you can field, socerers champions, lords etc. Can do a lot to make them all look unique.

There's really just a keyword system that affects what stratagems get used

If you're going nurgle forcused, go deathguard, Tzeench, thousand suns, Khorne of Slaanesh you're stuck with the basic codex.

Thing with Nurlge though, is they have a good range, Khorne specific you only really have bezerkers, and they are old models. Nothing specific for Khorne unless you want to dabble into forgeworld for their kits.
