I haven't played W&G yet so I cannot say, I did read the rules however, from what I gather, its a solid system easy to manipulate but that lacks a bit of depth.
There aren't much mechanics or feats etc that truly change a character's way of playing, the only ones that comes to me are the ones for charisma based character like Gallows Humour

It is more granular (i hope it is the right word) and make for more in depth stuff... But i also understand that a dice pool system make the RPG easier to learn for TT players, which i think is the target for W&G

As far as this, the new edition caps dice at 20+
The way the dice work (with 4 up being a success, 6 being 2) is fine and i like the fact you can shift 6s if yoy have enough successes to gain extra potency on things you are doing.
I do agree the wraith die sucks, I'm going to try it rules as writen initially but if i hate it i'll switch to shadowrun crits. Wrath die is the first die in any roll, on a 1 it is a complication (a crit fail if you don't succeed the roll, or if you do succeed its a "you succeed but...."

Contrast paints are good for glows and lights but not much else in my opinion, picked some blue contrast up for my blackstone fortress minis, its aight but I only used it for glows/lights

Depends. Are you going subtle functional inquis or shinny glossy inquis
For the former i'd recommend steel legion as the base for metals with a nuln wash (or nighthaunt if you want a blueish finish)
Cloth do as a coded colour usualy (something that will match other models uniforms or some noble house) but im also partial to dark blue/purple for the drapes

I like the concept of Marines having a Scout equivalent that actually wears power armor. Always felt weird to me that important things like reconnaissance, stealth, and sniper support were the sole domain of the new guys and all those skills get left behind once you got power armor.
