I made the slightly rusty bronzy colour on the by mixing Balthasar gold with Vallejo gunmetal and diluting it quite a bit

I originally painted the knight in the house Cadmus colour scheme so it’s got some yellow parts that I’m going to have to replace it cause it doesn’t really fit with my dark angels scheme now.

Yea I think I may have forgotten to wash his beard (he was set off to the side for some reason). I used blood bowl dwarves (The Dwarf Giants) and Imperial Guard bits. Kitbashed them myself, and pretty proud of the actual models

I doubt that would work in a real fight because you still would have a lot of options like smashing your pommel into the lords face or just drawing a dagger and stab him while he cant do anything but it still looks great

You cant snap a blade, they were used in the off hand to prevent the enemy from using his sword, while you can stab him with your main weapon

No, you wouldnt be able to break a sword with that. You cant even break a proper blade when using both hands (or at least it will be really fucking difficult) so breaking it by just using your wrist basically wouldn't work at all

Sword "Breaker" or Sword "Catcher"?

Tod's reproduction of a Renaissance Sword "Breaker" or is it a 'sword catcher'?

Most likely named by the Victorians, these unusual looking daggers were actually used to catch and control an opponent's rapier blade and so Sword "Catcher" would probably be a more accurate name.
